Abstract
Two Co(II)-based coordination compounds, namely {[Co(apc)2]·H2O}n (1) and [Co(apc)2(H2O)2] (2), have been successfully prepared via reaction of a multifunctional ligand 2-aminopyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid (Hapc) with Co(NO3)2·6H2O based on different reaction environments. Both compounds were studied via elemental analysis (EA), single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis (SC-XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TG), powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and infrared spectroscopy (IR). Fluorescence spectroscopy was employed to analyze the fluorescence properties of the ligand and the two compounds. The results revealed that the two compounds exhibited green and blue fluorescence, surpassing the original ligand in terms of properties. Based on the distinct fluorescence colors of the two compounds, there is potential to create multicolored fluorescent materials by adjusting their material ratios. This prospect could further extend their applications in the field of fluorescent materials.

Abstract
Recognizing that metal ions play an important role in modifying the pharmacological properties of known organic-based drugs, the present manuscript addresses the complexation of the antifungal agent voriconazole (vcz) with the biologically relevant silver(I) ion as a strategy for the development of new antimycotics. The synthesized silver(I) complexes with vcz were characterized by mass spectrometry, IR, UV-Vis and NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The crystallographic results showed that complexes {[Ag(vcz)(H2O)]CH3SO3}n (1), {[Ag(vcz)2]BF4}n (2) and {[Ag(vcz)2]PF6}n (3) have polymeric structures in the solid state, in which silver(I) ions have a distorted tetrahedral geometry. On the other hand, DFT calculations revealed that the investigated silver(I) complexes 1-3 in DMSO exist as linear [Ag(vcz-N2)(vcz-N19)]+ (1a), [Ag(vcz-N2)(vcz-N4)]+ (2a) and [Ag(vcz-N4)2]+ (3a) species, respectively. The evaluated complexes showed an enhanced anti-Candida activity compared to the parent drug with minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) values in the range of 0.02-1.05 μM. In comparison with vcz, the corresponding silver(I) complexes showed better activity in prevention hyphae and biofilm formation of C. albicans, indicating that they could be considered as promising agents against Candida that significantly inhibit its virulence. Also, these complexes are much better inhibitors of ergosterol synthesis in the cell membrane of C. albicans at the concentration of 0.5 × MIC. This is also confirmed by a molecular docking, which revealed that complexes 1a - 3a showed better inhibitory activity than vcz against the sterol 14α-demethylase enzyme cytochrome P450 (CYP51B), which plays a crucial role in the formation of ergosterol.

Abstract
In this study, determination of (nitrogen containing) drugs by on-column complexation with metal ions in high-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) was investigated. Bromazepam (BMP) was strongly retained in the organic upper stationary phase (UP) of the two-phase solvent system composed of tert-butyl methyl ether-acetonitrile-water (2:2:3, v/v/v) by eluting the aqueous lower mobile phase (LP) at a flow rate of 2 mL min-1. On the other hand, BMP (200 µg mL-1) was eluted faster without retention to the organic UP with the two-phase system containing 100 μg mL-1 of copper ions (CuCl2) because a very polar BMP-Cu2+ complex was immediately formed in the aqueous LP. The dramatic change in the retention behavior of BMP resulted from on-column complexation. The on-column complexation in HSCCC was further investigated for five (nitrogen containing) drugs and seven metal ions. In the result, tizanidine and phentolamine formed complexes with Al3+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, and Zn2+, ambroxol formed complexes with Al3+, Fe2+, and Cu2+, but voriconazole formed no complexes with all metal ions tested.

Abstract
Two Mn2+ coordination polymers (CPs) with the scientific terms of {[Mn(TTPA)·(H2O)2]·H2O}n (1) and {[Mn(TTPA)·(H2TTPA)]·2DMSO}n (2) were favorably created on the basis of multidentate linking organic ligand 2,5-bis-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-terephthalic acid (H2TTPA) in the conditions of solvent-presupposed thermal reaction. To measure the influence of two Mn2+ coordination polymers with novel structures, the ELISA assay and real-time RT-PCR assay were conducted in this present research. First of all, the ELISA assay was conducted to measure the content of inflammatory cytokines released into the hippocampal tissue. In addition to this, the relative expression of the TAU protein in the brain was further determined with real-time RT-PCR assay.

Abstract
In this current work, two fresh transition metal coordination polymers (CPs) have been created with the reaction between terphenyl-3,3″,5,5″-tetracarboxylic acid (H4L), the symmetrical rigid carboxylic acid ligand and the relevant metal salts under the reaction conditions of solvothermal, and the chemical compositions of the compounds respectively are {[Cu2(TPTC) (DMF)2(H2O)]·2DMF·2H2O} (2) and {[Zn (TPTC) (1,2-bimb)2]·4(H2O)}n (1, bimb = 1,2-bis((1H-imidazol-1-yl)methyl)benzene). Moreover, the prevention and nursing values of the compound on postoperative infection was explored and their corresponding mechanism also was investigated. Firstly, enzyme linked immunosorbent assay kit (ELISA) was employed to detect the release of inflammatory cytokines into plasma. Additionally, the expression of the bacterial survival genes was determined via exploiting the real time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) after treated with the compound.

Abstract
In situ hydrolysis of 1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylic dianhydride (L) and simultaneous self-assembly with Cu(II) ions afforded a new Cu(II) compound formulated as [Cu(L) (4,4′-bpy)0.5(H2O)]n (1), which is structurally determined by a series of characterization techniques, such as powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), and elemental analysis. It is noteworthy that compound 1 can catalyze the degradation of methylene blue (MB) in aqueous solution under UV irradiation. This paper also investigated and evaluated its application value and research mechanism in gastric cancer. However, we also used real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to detect the activation of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) signaling pathway, and Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) method was used to calculate the inhibition activity of 1 on gastric cancer cell viability.
