Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of the addition of 10% nanohydroxyapatite in an experimental resin infiltrant on color stability and mineral loss. MATERIAL AND METHODS Bovine enamel blocks were randomized into five groups (n = 27/group): SE (sound enamel); ICL (initial caries lesion); I (Icon®); E (experimental infiltrant); EH (experimental infiltrant containing 10% nanohydroxyapatite). Color evaluation (n = 15) was performed and CIEL*a*b* values were obtained at points T0 (baseline), T1 (14 days immersed on coffee solution), and T2 (28 days immersed) and data were calculated ∆E00, ∆WID, ∆L*, ∆a*, and ∆b*. Cross-sectional microhardness (n = 12) was performed and lesion area (∆S) was calculated. Images were obtained with polarized light optical microscopy at 40 × magnification (n = 5). RESULTS In color stability results, there was significant difference between time (14 and 28 days); ICL demonstrated significant difference among treated groups in all measures (∆L*, ∆a*, ∆b*, ∆E00, ∆WID) regardless of time; I and E demonstrated similar behavior on those measures and EH differed from I in ∆L*. For ∆S, ICL group showed a significant difference compared to I and EH groups, but did not differ from E. CONCLUSION The nanohydroxyapatite incorporation suggested an effective mineral recovery on initial caries lesion in depth; however, it showed high color variation, such as Icon. In terms of ∆S, I and EH had lower mineral loss, suggesting a reinforcement on initial caries lesion. CLINICAL RELEVANCE Commercial and experimental infiltrants containing nanohydroxyapatite present low color stability and might reinforce mineral in initial caries lesion.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study aims to evaluate the color stability and related properties including water sorption and solubility of ten light-cured composite resins in different solutions. METHODS A total of 10 composite resins were BeautifilⅡ(B2) and Ceram. X One Universal (CXU), Charisma (CS), Charisma Diamond (CD), Denfil (DF), DX. Universal (DXU), Filtek Z250 (Z250), Filtek Z350 XT (Z350), FS-1 (FS), and Magnafill Putty (MP). Meanwhile, a total of 20 disk-shaped samples were fabricated and randomly divided into four groups (n=5), which were immersed in distilled water (control group), curry, coffee, and red wine for 28 days. The color (CIE L∗a∗b∗) was measured by a spectrophotometer at baseline and 1, 7, 14, 21, and 28 days after immersion, and the color differences were calculated. Water sorption and solubility values were measured ba-sed on ISO 4049: 2019. In addition, three-way ANOVA was used to evaluate the influence of resin materials, solutions, and immersion time on discoloration results, meanwhile, one-way ANOVA was used to compare the water sorption values and solubility values of different materials. RESULTS All samples showed a certain degree of color change with time. Color differences were significantly influenced by materials, solutions, and immersion time (P<0.001). The color changes of the measured materials at any time point: curry>red wine>coffee>distilled water. Thus, all materials showed clinically unacceptable discoloration (ΔE>3.3) after immersing in staining curry, coffee, and red wine for 7 days. Therefore, when immersed in curry for 28 days, CS and DXU had the smallest and the largest color difference. In addition, when immersed in coffee for 28 days, FS showed the smallest color change and DXU showed the largest. Moreover, when immersed in red wine for 28 days, FS showed the smallest color change and Z350 showed the largest. Furthermore, MP and CXU had small color differences in all solutions. Meanwhile, Z350 had the highest water sorption and MP had the lowest. The solubility values of CS and CD were significantly higher than those of other materials. CONCLUSIONS The color stability of light-cured composite resin is materials-depended and affected by pigment types and immersion time. Thus, MP and CXU have better color stability. MP has low water sorption.

Abstract
The resin infiltration (RI) technique was introduced as one of the minimal intervention dentistry strategies in addressing dental caries among the paediatric population. This technique used the low-viscosity resin monomer to infiltrate the non-cavitated carious lesion and other developmental enamel porosities, thus allowing the conservation of the tooth structure. This narrative review aims to explore the value of RI in Paediatric Dentistry. Through our search of the literature, the development of the material, their clinical applications and shortcomings, as well as the innovation that has been carried out to improve the current RI, were discussed. There are number of high-level evidence supporting the use of RI in arresting non-cavitated proximal caries lesions in primary and permanent teeth, but its efficacy in managing anterior white spot lesions is still unclear. Limited penetration depth, not radiopaque and questionable long-term colour and material stability were among the limitation of the material. Various laboratory-based studies have been conducted to improve the current properties of RI. Nevertheless, RI has emerged as one of the important micro-invasive techniques in addressing non-cavitated and anterior white-spot enamel lesions in children and adolescents with great success.

Abstract
This study aims to assess the color stability, water sorption, and solubility of 11 resin composites as commercially available dental products. Twenty samples (10 mm in diameter and 2 mm in thickness) of each material were fabricated using a customized silicone mold, followed by immersion in each of curry, coffee, wine, and distilled water for 28 days (n = 5). Baseline shade and color changes (ΔE) were measured using a reflection spectrophotometer. The CIE L*, a*, b* system was used to evaluate the color changes. Five samples of each resin composite were applied to test water sorption and solubility according to ISO 4049:2009. As a result, the ∆E values were significantly influenced by each of the three factors (composition of material, solution, time) and the interactions between them (p < 0.001). Highest resistance to discoloration was achieved by Ceram.X One Universal (CXU), followed by Magnafill Putty (MP). Generally, microhybrid composites showed fewer color changes than nanohybrid composites and giomers. DX. Universal and Filtek Z350 XT showed the highest ΔE values in all colorants. All materials tested in this study fulfilled the criteria of ISO 4049:2009; CXU and MP had the lowest water sorption and solubility. The Pearson test showed statistically significant positive correlations between water sorption and ΔE and between solubility and ΔE.

Abstract
Background: Developmental Defects of Enamel (DDE) represent an aesthetic, functional, and often psychological problem, especially in young patients. Infiltrative treatment with resin (Icon-DMG, Hamburg, Germany) is a minimally invasive technique based on the infiltration of high viscosity resin inside the hypomineralized enamel, modifying its optical properties. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of superficial infiltration in the treatment of white enamel defects of the anterior sector with pre-eruptive etiology and its stability over time. Methods: Thirty-three patients affected by DDE associated with mild and moderate Molar Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH), mild and moderate fluorosis, and post-traumatic hypomineralization treated with resin infiltration were retrospectively retrieved. Results: In all cases an improvement in aesthetic appearance was achieved, and the 24-month follow-up confirmed the stability of the results. However, in the cases of traumatic hypomineralization the results were not completely satisfactory. Conclusions: The superficial infiltration technique can be considered a valid minimally invasive alternative to traditional treatment of mild or moderate fluorosis and mild MIH.

Abstract
(1) The evolution of techniques and materials used in dentistry has led to the introduction of a technique known as micro-infiltration, using ICON infiltrating resin. The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether the resin infiltrant can remain stable in the enamel color of human teeth over time or if it causes discoloration and review current knowledge on color stability based on the literature selected solely on studies performed on human teeth and to provide a perspective on the methods proposed by clinicians in the infiltration procedure; (2) Methods: This systematic review was performed according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement; (3) Results: Twelve studies were selected for this review. The study results suggest that the device content is sufficiently comprehensive. The reviewers expressed strong support for the device's content for assessing the quality of reviews. The paper summarizes current reports regarding the color stability assessment of enamel treated by in- filtration resin confirmed in in vitro and in vivo studies; (4) Conclusions: Based on these considerations, the resin infiltration method can be recommended to improve the appearance of enamel lesions. The infiltrated lesions remained chromatically stable, showing no significant color changes in the long term.
