Abstract
AIM To analyse and synthesise current evidence on the effectiveness of cancer rehabilitation interventions in increasing physical activity, increasing healthy dietary habits, alleviating psychological distress, and increasing health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in women treated for gynaecological cancers (GCs). DESIGN A meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials (RCTs). DATA SOURCES A systematic search was conducted in 12 databases from inception to 31 May 2024. REVIEW METHODS The quantitative results from comparable RCTs were pooled and meta-analysed using Review Manager 5.4 software. The results from non-comparable (i.e., clinically heterogeneous) RCTs were narratively summarised. The methodological quality of all RCTs was assessed using Version 2 of the Cochrane risk of bias tool for randomised trials. RESULTS Nine RCTs reported in a total of 12 articles met the inclusion criteria and comprised a total of 418 patients. The interventions had significant effects on total physical activity levels at post-intervention, 6-month follow-up, and 12-month follow-up, and on self-efficacy in physical activity at post-intervention and 3-month follow-up. However, the interventions did not significantly improve overall HRQoL or healthy dietary habits and did not significantly alleviate anxiety and depression. The key intervention components were information provision on health-promoting behaviours; adoption of behavioural change techniques (goal setting, action planning, relapse prevention, problem-solving, self-monitoring, and social support); and stress and emotion management. CONCLUSION Rehabilitation interventions effectively increase physical activity in women treated for GCs, leading to sustainable effects. However, there is limited evidence on the effectiveness of such interventions in improving overall HRQoL, encouraging healthy eating, and alleviating psychological distress in women treated for GCs. RELEVANCE TO CLINICAL PRACTICE This review found that rehabilitation interventions can increase physical activity levels among women treated for GCs. It also identified the key effective components of such interventions. Abstract
Introduction In addition to the well-recognised cardiotoxicity of cancer treatment, possible aetiological links between cancer diagnosis and cardiovascular disease (CVD) have gained growing research interests. We aimed to estimate the CVD burden among cancer survivors and illustrate population-level associations between these two conditions. Methods We first conducted a prospective cohort study in the UK Biobank and a meta-analysis of previous population-based cohorts. HRs were estimated in the cohort study to evaluate the effect of cancer diagnosis on the subsequent risk of CVD compared with that of non-cancer individuals. We then systematically searched Pubmed, Embase and Cochrane Library to retrieve previous cohorts. Random-effect meta-analysis was performed to pool relative risk estimates. A combination of multiple statistical metrics was employed to appraise the evidence. Results A total of 39 755 811 participants (5 898 597 cancer survivors vs 33 857 214 cancer-free controls) were identified in our study. In the cohort study, a 51% higher hazard of CVD risk was found among cancer survivors (95% CI 1.48 to 1.55, p<0.001). The hazard decreased to 29% after adjusting competing risk. The meta-analysis identified 104 published cohorts. We found a 1.34-fold increased CVD risk among patients with cancer (95% CI 1.22 to 1.47, p<0.001). The association remains significant among multiple cancer sites and multiple CVD subtypes. This association was consistent, irrespective of chemo or radiotherapy use. Evidence appraisal identified one convincing association between hematologic/lymphatic malignancies and ischaemic heart disease, along with 29 highly suggestive associations. Conclusions Our study provided comprehensive estimates of CVD incidence in cancer survivors and identified a significantly elevated CVD risk among patients with cancer, regardless of chemotherapy or radiotherapy. These findings underscore the need for routine assessment of CVD risk factors at cancer diagnosis to enhance the well-being and survival of patients with cancer.PROSPERO registration numberCRD42022307056.

Abstract
Patients diagnosed with cancer post-treatment are prone to have recurrent disease. Regular follow-up of these patients enables early recognition and treatment. A tissue diagnosis before starting treatment is imperative to avoid misdiagnosis and management. Given their immunosuppression, maintaining good nutrition, body hygiene, and clean surroundings is essential to prevent the most common urinary tract infection to rare urinary myiasis infection. Cochliomyia hominivorax, Chrysomya bezziana, and Wohlfahrtia magnifica are the most prevalent flies causing myiasis in human beings. Risk factors for urinary myiasis are open or untreated wounds and debris around the genital area. Specific flies, ticks, and mosquitoes are responsible for myiasis in tropical or subtropical countries, when it is usually not transmitted from human to human. Flies lay their eggs near the urethra, and the larvae hatch and migrate to the bladder. Increased urinary frequency, haematuria, and lower abdominal pain are the most commonly found presenting symptoms. Simple preventive measures can avoid these complications. So, prevention is better than cure.

Abstract
Cardiovascular and cancer outcomes intersect within the realm of cardio-oncology survivorship care, marked by disparities across ethnic, racial, social, and geographical landscapes. Although the clinical community is increasingly aware of this complex issue, effective solutions are trailing. To attain substantial public health impact, examinations of cancer types and cardiovascular risk mitigation require complementary approaches that elicit the patient's perspective, scale it to a population level, and focus on actionable population health interventions. Adopting such a multidisciplinary approach will deepen our understanding of patient awareness, motivation, health literacy, and community resources for addressing the unique challenges of cardio-oncology. Geospatial analysis aids in identifying key communities in need within both granular and broader contexts. In this review, we delineate a pathway that navigates barriers from individual to community levels. Data gleaned from these perspectives are critical in informing interventions that empower individuals within diverse communities and improve cardio-oncology survivorship.

Abstract
PURPOSE Race and Hispanic ethnicity data can be challenging for central cancer registries to collect. We evaluated the accuracy of the race and Hispanic ethnicity variables collected by the Utah Cancer Registry compared to self-report. METHODS Participants were 3,162 cancer survivors who completed questionnaires administered in 2015-2022 by the Utah Cancer Registry. Each survey included separate questions collecting race and Hispanic ethnicity, respectively. Registry-collected race and Hispanic ethnicity were compared to self-reported values for the same individuals. We calculated sensitivity and specificity for each race category and Hispanic ethnicity separately. RESULTS Survey participants included 323 (10.2%) survivors identifying as Hispanic, a lower proportion Hispanic than the 12.1% in the registry Hispanic variable (sensitivity 88.2%, specificity 96.5%). For race, 43 participants (1.4%) self-identified as American Indian or Alaska Native (AIAN), 32 (1.0%) as Asian, 23 (0.7%) as Black or African American, 16 (0.5%) Pacific Islander (PI), and 2994 (94.7%) as White. The registry race variable classified a smaller proportion of survivors as members of each of these race groups except White. Sensitivity for classification of race as AIAN was 9.3%, Asian 40.6%, Black 60.9%, PI 25.0%, and specificity for each of these groups was > 99%. Sensitivity and specificity for White were 98.8% and 47.4%. CONCLUSION Cancer registry race and Hispanic ethnicity data often did not match the individual's self-identification. Of particular concern is the high proportion of AIAN individuals whose race is misclassified. Continued attention should be directed to the accurate capture of race and ethnicity data by hospitals.

Abstract
The present study aimed to evaluate the effects of radiotherapy on the overall survival of patients with primary stage IA, grade I-III uterine endometrioid carcinoma or stage IB, grade I-II uterine endometrioid carcinoma. A total of 7504 patients with stage IA, grade I-III uterine endometrioid carcinoma, and 857 patients with stage IB, grade I-II uterine endometrioid carcinoma were collected for the present study. Following propensity score matching (PSM), statistical analysis was performed for the equalized number of patients with stage IA, grade I-III uterine endometrioid carcinoma (n = 383) and patients with stage IB, grade I-II uterine endometrioid carcinoma (n = 330). For patients with primary stage IA, grade I-III uterine endometrioid carcinoma, radiotherapy was found to promoted a reduced 5-year overall survival rates [hazard ratio (HR), 1.726; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.456-2.046; P < 0.05]. In patients with primary stage IB, grade I-II uterine endometrioid carcinoma, no significant differences were observed in the 5-year overall survival rates between radiotherapy and no radiotherapy groups (P = 0.059). In conclusion, radiotherapy may not improve 5-year overall survival for patients with primary stage IA, grade I-III or stage IB, grade I-II uterine endometrioid carcinoma.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Little is known about whether a breast or gynecologic cancer diagnosis increases long-term cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk among Black females. The purpose of this study was to determine whether a breast or gynecologic cancer diagnosis is associated with CVD risk and identify determinants of subsequent CVD risk among Black females with an incident breast or gynecologic cancer diagnosis. METHODS Using the Southern Community Cohort Study data from 2002-2016, this study was designed to analyze CVD incidence among Black females without cancer or CVD at enrollment. Cox proportional hazards regression models with or without covariates were used to explore the relationship between a breast or gynecologic cancer diagnosis and CVD risk among women without cancer as well as without CVD at enrollment (N=11,486). In addition, Cox proportional hazards regression models, excluding those who developed CVD before breast and gynecologic cancer diagnosis and those with other types of cancers, were used to assess determinants of CVD risk among breast and gynecologic cancer survivors. RESULTS Of 11,486 Black females, 531 developed a breast or gynecological cancer (4.6%) over a median follow-up of 140 months (interquartile range: 123-159 months). Compared to women without cancer, women with a breast or gynecological cancers had greater than 20% higher risk of incident CVD during the follow-up period. Without adjusting for covariates, positive association between CVD risk and breast cancer was observed (hazard ratio (HR) = 1.24; 95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.11 - 1.39; p < 0.001); as well as between CVD risk and a gynecological cancer (HR = 1.23; 95% CI = 1.03 - 1.46; p = 0.021). Yet, after adjusting for covariates, CVD risk was only significantly associated with breast cancer (p = 0.001) but not gynecologic cancer. In cancer case-only analyses, CVD risk was significantly increasing with age (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS Like study populations of predominantly White females, our results suggest that, adjusting for covariates, Black females possess a higher risk of CVD following a breast cancer diagnosis compared to women who did not develop breast cancer. Our results suggest a need for active CVD surveillance in the cancer survivorship phase.

Abstract
Globally, both cancer incidence and survival are increasing. Early cancer detection and improved treatment means many people with cancer will survive for ten or more years following diagnosis. Multimorbidity, defined as two or more chronic conditions, is up to three times higher in people living with and beyond cancer (LWBC) compared to the general population. This scoping review summarises the research evidence on the association between cancer and multimorbidity in people LWBC. It explores five key domains in people LWBC: 1) prevalence of multimorbidity, 2) association between ethnicity and socio-economic status (SES) and multimorbidity, 3) association between health status and multimorbidity, 4) adverse health consequences of cancer and related treatments, and 5) whether being a cancer survivor impacts treatment received for multimorbidity. It focuses on ten common cancers with high survival rates: prostate, breast, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, bowel/colorectal, kidney, head and neck, bladder, leukaemia, uterine and myeloma. A search of Medline, CINAHL, Embase, PsychINFO and Web of Science databases identified 9,460 articles, 115 of which met the inclusion criteria. Articles were included in the review that involved multimorbidity in adult cancer patients. An evaluation of the evidence was performed, and a summary of findings was generated according to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) Extension for Scoping Reviews guidelines. This review included work from 20 countries, most studies were from the US (44%). The results showed that the most common long-term conditions in people LWBC were: hypertension, heart conditions, depression, COPD, and diabetes. The most reported incident comorbidities after a cancer diagnosis were congestive heart failure, chronic pain, and chronic fatigue. Multimorbidity tended to be higher amongst people LWBC from ethnic minority groups and those with lower SES. Quality of life was poorer in people LWBC with multimorbidity. The review identified the need for a uniform approach to measure multimorbidity in cancer patients across the world. Further research is required to compare multimorbidity before and after a cancer diagnosis, to explore the association of multimorbidity with ethnicity and socio-economic status and to determine whether a cancer diagnosis impacts care received for multimorbidity in people LWBC.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To compare the incidence of grade ≥2 gastrointestinal (GI) or genitourinary (GU) toxicity for patients undergoing 3DRT versus IMRT in the postoperative setting for endometrial cancer. METHODS Eligible patients were post-operatively randomly assigned to one of two parallel groups in a 1:1 ratio, to have their RT delivered using either a 3DRT technique or using IMRT. The prescription dose was 45 Gy in 25 fractions over 5 weeks followed by vaginal vault brachytherapy. Toxicity was graded according to National Cancer Institute (NCI) Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE) version (v) 3.0. Fisher's exact tests were used to test for associations between toxicity and arm. Differences in dosimetric parameters for patients with or without toxicity were tested using Mann-Whitney U-tests. RESULTS 84 patients with a median age of 62 were evaluable for primary outcome. The median follow-up was 52 months. 14 (35%) participants from the 3DRT arm and 15 (34%) from the IMRT arm experienced acute grade ≥2 GI toxicity with older patients having a statistically higher risk of grade ≥2 acute GI toxicity. 20 (50%) participants from the 3DRT arm and 25 (57%) from the IMRT arm experienced acute grade ≥2 GI or GU toxicity (p = .662). 12 (30%) patients from the 3DRT arm and 17 (39%) from the IMRT arm experienced acute grade ≥2 GU toxicity (p = .493). CONCLUSION Although IMRT can reduce dose to normal tissue, in this study no benefit in acute GI or GU toxicity outcome was seen.

Abstract
Our primary aim was to estimate the magnitude of stage I endometrial cancer (EC) survivors that could benefit from hormonal therapy (HT). Our secondary aims were to assess EC incidence in women below 50 and below 60 over the years, and analyze the overall survival and any influencing factors. We analyzed the endometrioid EC data from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) program according to women's age, tumor stage, and grade. We analyzed the proportions of EC survivors below 50 and below 60 years of age and stratified those age groups by race. For age distribution and survival analysis SEER, 18 registries' research data (2000-2018) were analyzed. We analyzed the SEER 12 registries' research data (1992-2019) for incidence time trends. Our investigation found a 14% and 40% cumulative prevalence of stage I EC that occurs in women below 50 or 60 years, respectively. EC's prevalence has progressively risen in recent decades, but cancer-specific mortality remains low. The increasing number of women affected by EC in premenopause or early postmenopause face an 18 years-survival rate of 96.86% and 95.73%, respectively. A significant proportion of low-grade EC survivors can potentially benefit from HT treatment, and this requires awareness of other aspects of their health or quality of life, in addition to cancer treatments.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Endometrial cancer and its treatment may impact urinary system function, but few large-scale studies have examined urinary diagnoses among endometrial cancer survivors. We investigated the risk of several urinary outcomes among older women with endometrial cancer compared with similar women without a cancer history. METHODS Women aged 66+ years with an endometrial cancer diagnosis during 2004-2017 (N = 44,386) and women without a cancer history (N = 221,219) matched 1:5 on exact age, race/ethnicity, and state were identified in the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results-Medicare linked data. ICD-9 and -10 diagnosis codes were used to define urinary outcomes in the Medicare claims. HRs for urinary outcomes were estimated using multivariable Cox proportional hazards regression models. RESULTS Relative to women without cancer, endometrial cancer survivors were at an increased risk of several urinary system diagnoses, including lower urinary tract infection [HR, 2.36; 95% confidence interval (CI), 2.32-2.40], urinary calculus (HR, 2.22; 95% CI, 2.13-2.31), renal failure (HR, 2.28; 95% CI, 2.23-2.33), and chronic kidney disease (HR, 1.85; 95% CI, 1.81-1.90). Similar associations were observed in sensitivity analyses limited to 1+ and 5+ years after endometrial cancer diagnosis. Black race, higher comorbidity index, higher stage or grade cancer, non-endometrioid histology, and treatment with chemotherapy and/or radiation were often significant predictors of urinary outcomes among endometrial cancer survivors. CONCLUSIONS Our results suggest that, among older women, the risk of urinary outcomes is elevated after endometrial cancer. IMPACT Monitoring for urinary diseases may be a critical part of long-term survivorship care for older women with an endometrial cancer history.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Long-term survivors of gynecological cancers may be cured but still have ongoing health concerns and long-term side effects following cancer treatment. The aim of this brainstorming meeting was to develop recommendations for long-term follow-up for survivors from gynecologic cancer. METHODS International experts, representing each member group within the Gynecologic Cancer InterGroup (GCIG), met to define long-term survival, propose guidelines for long term follow-up and propose ways to implement long term survivorship follow-up in clinical trials involving gynecological cancers. RESULTS Long-term survival with/from gynecological cancers was defined as survival of at least five years from diagnosis, irrespective of disease recurrences. Review of the literature showed that more than 50% of cancer survivors with gynecological cancer still experienced health concerns/long-term side effects. Main side effects included neurologic symptoms, sleep disturbance, fatigue, sexual dysfunction, bowel and urinary problems and lymphedema. In this article, long-term side effects are discussed in detail and treatment options are proposed. Screening for second primary cancers and lifestyle counselling (nutrition, physical activity, mental health) may improve quality of life and overall health status, as well as prevent cardiovascular events. Clinical trials should address cancer survivorship and report patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) for cancer survivors. CONCLUSION Long-term survivors after gynecological cancer have unique longer term challenges that need to be addressed systematically by care givers. Follow-up after completing treatment for primary gynecological cancer should be offered lifelong. Survivorship care plans may help to summarize cancer history, long-term side effects and to give information on health promotion and prevention.

Abstract
PURPOSE This study aimed to investigate the association between chronic kidney disease (CKD) and different types of cancer and the effect of CKD on mortality among types of cancer. METHODS 30559 participants from NHANES 1999-2014 were included in our analysis, which had 2824 participants with cancer. Subgroups were grouped by cancer location. The association of different types of cancer with CKD was assessed using logistic regression models. Kaplan-Meier estimates and Cox proportional hazards models were used to evaluate the correlation between CKD and all-cause mortality in different cancer groups. RESULTS Age, gender, race, education level, income level, hypertension, diabetes, smoking status, alcohol consumption, TG, HDL-C, UA and eGFR were significantly different between the cancer and non-cancer group. The three cancers with highest prevalence of CKD were kidney cancer (72.3%), bladder cancer (54.7%), and colon cancer (43.0%) in this study. The prevalence of CKD was higher in cancer patients compared to non-cancer ones. Only genitourinary cancer showed a positive association with CKD (OR=1.23, 95% CI: 1.05-1.44) after adjusting for confounding factors. However, CKD was an independent risk factor for mortality from cancer regardless of the type of cancer. CONCLUSION CKD is significantly associated only with genitourinary cancer among different types of cancer. CKD is an independent risk factor for survival in cancer patients, regardless of the type of cancer. Monitoring and maintaining the renal function of cancer patients is essential for prolonging their life.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is one of the most common gynecological malignant tumors. In this study, we constructed gene co-expression networks to identify key modules and hub genes involved in the pathogenesis of EC. RESULTS The MEturquoise module was found to be significantly related to hypertension and the MEbrown module was significantly related to the history of other malignancies. Functional enrichment analysis showed that the MEturquoise module was associated with the GO biological process terms of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter, positive regulation of male gonad development, endocardial cushion development, and endothelial cell differentiation. The MEbrown module was associated with GO terms DNA binding, epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition, and transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter. A total of 10 hub genes were identified and compared with the available datasets at transcriptional and translational levels. CONCLUSIONS The identified ceRNAs may play a critical role in the progression and metastasis of EC and are thus candidate therapeutic targets and potential prognostic biomarkers. The two modules constructed further provide a useful reference that will advance understanding of the mechanisms of tumorigenesis in EC.

The incidence of endometrial cancer (EC), which coexists with such civilization diseases as diabetes, obesity or hypertension, is constantly increasing. Treatment includes surgery as well as brachytherapy, teletherapy, rarely chemotherapy or hormone therapy. Due to the good results of the treatment, the occurrence of side effects of therapy becomes a problem for the patients. One of the large groups of side effects includes the pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence. The aim of this study was to present current knowledge on the occurrence of pelvic floor dysfunction in women treated for EC. A literature review was conducted in the PubMED and WoS databases, including articles on pelvic floor dysfunction in women with EC. PRISMA principles were followed in the research methodology. A total of 1361 publications were retrieved. Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 24 papers were eligible for the review. Mostly retrospective studies based on different questionnaires were evaluated. No prospective studies were found in which, in addition to subjective assessment, clinical examination and objective assessment of urinary incontinence were used. Studies show a significant increase in the incidence of pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence, after various forms of EC treatment. We believe that assessment of complications after endometrial cancer treatment is clinically relevant. The review emphasizes the importance of programming prospective studies to prevent and address these disorders at each stage of oncologic treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND We sought to analyze the toxicity rates and the treatment outcomes in endometrial cancer (EC) patients treated with postoperative three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT) and intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT). MATERIAL AND METHODS The clinical data of 646 EC patients treated with postoperative adjuvant 3DCRT (265 patients, 41%) or with IMRT (381 patients, 59%) between April 2007 and August 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. The primary endpoints were treatment-related acute and late gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) toxicities. The secondary endpoints were LC and overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS). RESULTS Median follow-up time was 37 months. The rates for acute GI and GU toxicities of any grade for the entire group were 55.6% and 46.8%, respectively. Acute grade ≥2 GI toxicity was significantly less in patients treated with IMRT compared to those treated with 3DCRT (11.0% vs. 19.2%, p=.004). However, no significant difference grade ≥2 GU toxicities was observed between the 3DCRT and IMRT groups (15.1% vs. 11.0%; p=.15). Acute grade ≥2 GI and GU toxicities were higher in patients receiving systemic chemotherapy, while paraaortic field irradiation increases only the risk of acute grade ≥2 GI toxicity. Estimated 3-year late grade ≥3 GI toxicity rates in the 3DCRT- and IMRT-treated patients were 4.6% and 1.9% (p= .03), respectively. The patients treated with adjuvant ChT had higher rates of late serious GI complications than those without adjuvant ChT. No significant difference in terms of survival and disease control was observed between the 3DCRT and IMRT treatment groups. No significant factor for LC was found in the multivariate analysis. CONCLUSION In this multicentric study involving one of largest patient population, we found that IMRT-treated EC patients showed comparable clinical outcomes but with a lower incidence of GI toxicities compared with those treated with 3DCRT.

Abstract
Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) is a rare but highly aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Treatment-related cardiovascular lesion has become one of the most common complications in patients with tumor. However, very little is known about the cardiovascular death (CVD) of the patients with PCNSL. This study aims at identifying the cardiovascular outcomes of PCNSL patients and making comparison on CVD with extra central nervous system lymphoma (ECNSL). Clinical information of PCNSL and ECNSL was retrieved from the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results database. The risk factors of CVD in PCNSL patients and the comparison on the CVD hazard between PCNSL and ECNSL were assessed with the competing risks regression. A 1:2 propensity score matching was used to reduce the imbalanced baseline characteristics between PCNSL and ECNSL. Four thousand thirty-eight PCNSL subjects and 246,760 ECNSL subjects were enrolled in this retrospective study. CVD was the leading cause (41.2%) of non-cancer death in PCNSL patients and mostly occurred within the first year of diagnosis. Age over 60s and diagnosis in 2000–2008 were significantly associated with the elevated risk of CVD in PCNSL patients, while chemotherapy and radiotherapy play no role on the cardiovascular outcomes. Compared with ECNSL patients, the risk of CVD in PCNSL patients were 40% approximately lower. The risk of CVD in the patients with PCNSL still remains unclear currently. Clinicians ought to pay more attention on the risk of CVD in PCNSL patients, especially the elder patients within the first year of diagnosis.

Abstract
Purpose To study the cardiovascular death (CVD) risk in primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) patients with chemotherapy. Methods We obtained 2,020 PCNSL participants and 88,613 non-central nervous system lymphoma (NCNSL) participants with chemotherapy from Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database from 2004 to 2015. A 1:3 propensity score matching (PSM) was used to reduce the imbalance between PCNSL participants with and without chemotherapy, as well as the imbalance between PCNSL and NCNSL participants with chemotherapy. Competing risks regressions were conducted to evaluate the independent influence of chemotherapy on CVD. Results After 1:3 PSM, the CVD risk in PCNSL patients with chemotherapy was lower than those without chemotherapy [decreased 53%, adjusted HR, 0.469 (95% CI, 0.255–0.862; P = 0.015)] as well as NCNSL patients with chemotherapy [decreased 36%, adjusted HR in model 1, 0.636 (95% CI, 0.439–0.923; P = 0.017)]. The CVD risk of chemotherapy decreased in PCNSL patients with age at diagnosis >60 years old [adjusted HR, 0.390 (95% CI, 0.200–0.760; P = 0.006)], and those patients diagnosed at 2010 to 2015 [adjusted HR, 0.339 (95% CI, 0.118–0.970; P = 0.044)]. Conclusion PCNSL patients with chemotherapy are associated with lower CVD risk. Our findings may provide new foundations for that chemotherapy is the first-line treatment for PCNSL patients, according to a cardiovascular risk perspective.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To compare long-term quality of life in women treated for early-stage endometrial cancer with population norms, and to compare quality of life outcomes of patients who had total laparoscopic or total abdominal hysterectomy. METHODS Once the last enrolled patient had completed 4.5 years of follow-up after surgery, participants in the Laparoscopic Approach to Cancer of the Endometrium (LACE) clinical trial were asked to complete a self-administered questionnaire. Two instruments-EuroQol 5 Dimension 3-level (EQ-5D-3L) and the Functional Assessment of Cancer Treatment-General Population (FACT-GP)-were used to determine quality of life. The mean computed EQ-5D-3L index scores for LACE participants at different age categories were compared with Australian normative scores; and the FACT-GP scores were compared between patients treated with surgical treatments. RESULTS Of 760 women originally enrolled in the LACE trial, 259 (50.2%) of 516 women consented to provide long-term follow-up data at a median of 9 years (range 6-12) after surgery. On the EQ-5D-3L, long-term endometrial cancer survivors reported higher prevalence of anxiety/depression than normative levels across all age groups (55-64 years, 30% vs 14.9%; 65-74 years, 30.1% vs 15.8%; ≥75 years, 25.9% vs 10.7%). For women ≥75 years of age, the prevalence of impairment in mobility (57.6% vs 43.3%) and usual activities (58.8% vs 37.9%) was also higher than for population norms. For the FACT-GP, the physical (effect size: -0.28, p<0.028) and functional (effect size: -0.30, p<0.015) well-being sub-scale favored the total laparoscopic hysterectomy compared with total abdominal hysterectomy recipients. CONCLUSION Compared with population-based norms, long-term endometrial cancer survivors reported higher prevalence of anxiety/depression across all age groups, and deficits in mobility and usual activities for women aged ≥75 years. Physical and functional well-being were better among women who were treated with total laparoscopic hysterectomy than among those receiving total abdominal hysterectomy.

Abstract
Cancer Informatics for Cancer Centers (CI4CC) is a grassroots, nonprofit 501c3 organization intended to provide a focused national forum for engagement of senior cancer informatics leaders, primarily aimed at academic cancer centers anywhere in the world but with a special emphasis on the 70 National Cancer Institute-funded cancer centers. Although each of the participating cancer centers is structured differently, and leaders' titles vary, we know firsthand there are similarities in both the issues we face and the solutions we achieve. As a consortium, we have initiated a dedicated listserv, an open-initiatives program, and targeted biannual face-to-face meetings. These meetings are a place to review our priorities and initiatives, providing a forum for discussion of the strategic and pragmatic issues we, as informatics leaders, individually face at our respective institutions and cancer centers. Here we provide a brief history of the CI4CC organization and meeting highlights from the latest CI4CC meeting that took place in Napa, California from October 14-16, 2019. The focus of this meeting was "intersections between informatics, data science, and population science." We conclude with a discussion on "hot topics" on the horizon for cancer informatics.

Abstract
Endometrial cancer (EC) has been associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, including atrial fibrillation (AF). We performed a prospective, case-controlled analysis among 310 Bulgarian women with new-onset, histologically confirmed EC, free of AF at the baseline survey, and women with normal (senile) endometrium/endometrial hyperplasia as a control group (n = 205). The risk of AF as well as relationship of adiponectin (APN) and high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) levels with AF in women with EC were calculated by Cox proportional hazards models. During the mean follow-up of 2.5 ± 0.5 years, new-onset AF had occurred in 11.7% of women with EC vs. 5.8% in the control group (p < 0.01). The risk of AF was highest in the first 6 months after new-onset EC, with an incidence rate ratio (IRR) of 1.19 (95% CI 1.10–1.29; p = 0.01). Women with EC, who were obese (body mass index (BMI) > 30 kg/m2) and younger (age < 60) were found to be more likely to develop AF (HR 1.95; 95% CI 1.18–3.32; p = 0.05). APN levels were not significantly associated with new-onset AF (95% CI 0.87–1.21; p = 0.063). However, the secondary analysis showed evidence of APN–AF association when adjusted for BMI (2.05; 95% CI 1.04–4.04; p = 0.037). We conclude that EC was significantly associated with the incidence of AF.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Oncologic treatment has been associated with unemployment. As endometrial cancer is highly curable, it is important to assess whether patients experience employment disruption after treatment. We evaluated the frequency of employment change following endometrial cancer diagnosis and assessed factors associated with it. METHODS A cohort of patients 18-63 years-old who were diagnosed with endometrial cancer (January 2009-December 2017) were identified in the Truven MarketScan database, an insurance claims database of commercially insured patients in the United States. All patients who were working full- or part-time at diagnosis were included and all employment changes during the year following diagnosis were identified. Clinical information, including use of chemotherapy and radiation, were identified using Common Procedural Terminology codes, and International Statistical Classification of Diseases codes. Cox proportional hazards models incorporating measured covariates were used to evaluate the impact of treatment and demographic variables on change in employment status. RESULTS A total of 4381 women diagnosed with endometrial cancer who held a full-time or part-time job 12 months prior to diagnosis were identified. Median age at diagnosis was 55 and a minority of patients received adjuvant therapy; 7.9% received chemotherapy, 4.9% received external-beam radiation therapy, and 4.1% received chemoradiation. While most women continued to work following diagnosis, 21.7% (950) experienced a change in employment status. The majority (97.7%) of patients had a full-time job prior to diagnosis. In a multivariable analysis controlling for age, region of residence, comorbidities, insurance plan type and presence of adverse events, chemoradiation recipients were 34% more likely to experience an employment change (HR 1.34, 95% CI 1.01-1.78), compared to those who only underwent surgery. CONCLUSION Approximately 22% of women with employer-subsidized health insurance experienced a change in employment status following the diagnosis of endometrial cancer, an often-curable disease. Chemoradiation was an independent predictor of change in employment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Previously, family-based designs and high-risk pedigrees have illustrated value for the discovery of high- and intermediate-risk germline breast cancer susceptibility genes. However, genetic heterogeneity is a major obstacle hindering progress. New strategies and analytic approaches will be necessary to make further advances. One opportunity with the potential to address heterogeneity via improved characterization of disease is the growing availability of multisource databases. Specific to advances involving family-based designs are resources that include family structure, such as the Utah Population Database (UPDB). To illustrate the broad utility and potential power of multisource databases, we describe two different novel family-based approaches to reduce heterogeneity in the UPDB. METHODS Our first approach focuses on using pedigree-informed breast tumor phenotypes in gene mapping. Our second approach focuses on the identification of families with similar pleiotropies. We use a novel network-inspired clustering technique to explore multi-cancer signatures for high-risk breast cancer families. RESULTS Our first approach identifies a genome-wide significant breast cancer locus at 2q13 [P = 1.6 × 10-8, logarithm of the odds (LOD) equivalent 6.64]. In the region, IL1A and IL1B are of particular interest, key cytokine genes involved in inflammation. Our second approach identifies five multi-cancer risk patterns. These clusters include expected coaggregations (such as breast cancer with prostate cancer, ovarian cancer, and melanoma), and also identify novel patterns, including coaggregation with uterine, thyroid, and bladder cancers. CONCLUSIONS Our results suggest pedigree-informed tumor phenotypes can map genes for breast cancer, and that various different cancer pleiotropies exist for high-risk breast cancer pedigrees. Genitourinary disease risks among ovarian cancer survivors in a population-based cohort study. Gynecol Oncol 2020; 157:529-535. Abstract
OBJECTIVE While genitourinary complications during treatment for ovarian cancer are well-known, long-term adverse outcomes have not been well characterized. The number of ovarian cancer survivors has been increasing. The aim of this study was to investigate long-term adverse genitourinary outcomes in a population-based cohort. METHODS We identified a cohort of 1270 ovarian cancer survivors diagnosed between 1996 and 2012 from the Utah Cancer Registry, and 5286 cancer-free women were matched on birth year and state from the Utah Population Database. Genitourinary disease diagnoses were identified through ICD-9 codes from electronic medical records and statewide healthcare facilities data. Cox proportional hazards models were used to estimate hazard ratios (HR) for genitourinary outcomes at 1 to <5 years and 5+ years after ovarian cancer diagnosis. RESULTS Ovarian cancer survivors had increased risks for urinary system disorders (HR: 2.53, 95% CI: 2.12-3.01) and genital organ disorders (HR: 1.88, 95% CI: 1.57-2.27) between 1 and <5 years after cancer diagnosis compared to the general population cohort. Increased risks were observed for acute renal failure, chronic kidney disease, calculus of kidney, hydronephrosis, pelvic peritoneal adhesions, and pelvic organ inflammatory conditions. Increased risks of several of these diseases were observed 5+ years after cancer diagnosis. CONCLUSIONS Ovarian cancer survivors experience increased risks of various genitourinary diseases compared to women in the general population in the long-term. Understanding the multimorbidity trajectory among ovarian cancer survivors is important to improve clinical care after cancer treatment is completed.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The majority of endometrial cancer patients are overweight or obese at cancer diagnosis. Obesity is a shared risk factor for both endometrial cancer and diabetes, but it is unknown whether endometrial cancer patients have increased diabetes risks. The aim of our study was to investigate diabetes risk among endometrial cancer patients. METHODS Endometrial cancer patients diagnosed between 1997 and 2012 in Utah (n = 2,314) were identified. Women from the general population (n = 8,583) were matched to the cancer patients on birth year and birth state. Diabetes diagnoses were identified from electronic medical records and statewide healthcare facility databases. Cox proportional hazards models were used to estimate hazard ratios for diabetes after cancer diagnosis. RESULTS Endometrial cancer survivors had a significantly higher risk of type II diabetes when compared to women from the general population in the first year after cancer diagnosis (HR = 5.22, 95% CI = 4.05, 6.71), >1-5 years after cancer diagnosis (HR = 1.67, 95% CI = 1.31, 2.12), and >5 years after cancer diagnosis (HR = 1.65, 95% CI = 1.29, 2.11). Endometrial cancer patients who were obese at cancer diagnosis had a three-fold increase in type II diabetes risk (HR = 2.99, 95%CI = 2.59, 3.45). Although endometrial cancer patients diagnosed at distant stage had a higher risk of diabetes, cancer treatment did not appear to contribute to any diabetes risks. CONCLUSIONS In conclusion, endometrial cancer survivors had a higher risk of diabetes than women in the general population. These results suggest that long term monitoring for diabetes is indicated for endometrial cancer survivors.

Abstract
Introduction: Adjuvant whole-pelvic radiation therapy (WPRT) improves locoregional control for high-intermediate stages I-III endometrial cancer patients. Intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) tends to replace the standard 3D conformal radiation therapy (3DCRT) technique used in trials. Material and methods: Consecutive patients with stages I-IIIc endometrial cancer treated between 2008 and 2014 in our department with post-operative 3DCRT or IMRT WPRT were studied retrospectively. Patients with cervical involvement underwent additional low-dose rate vaginal brachytherapy. The impact of the WPRT technique on local control, tolerance, disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) was assessed. Clinicians evaluated routinely acute radiation toxicity each week during radiation therapy and late toxicity during standard follow-up consultations. Results: Median follow-up was 50 months (range: 6-158). Among the 83 patients included, 47 were treated with 3DCRT and 36 with IMRT. There was no difference in patient characteristics between groups. The 5-year locoregional control and DFS rates were 94.5% and 68%, respectively. No significant difference was found between the 3DCRT and IMRT groups in terms of survival, with 5-year OS rates of 74.6% and 78%, respectively. In multivariate analysis, age over 68, stage > T1 and grade 3 were independently associated with shorter DFS and OS. Seven patients (8.4%) had grades 3-4 acute gastrointestinal (GI) toxicity with five patients (10.6%) and two (5.4%) in the 3DCRT and IMRT groups, respectively (p = .69). One case (1.2%) of late grade 3 GI toxicity was observed treated in 3DCRT. Conclusions: IMRT seems to be a safe technique for the treatment of endometrial cancer with a trend towards decreased acute GI toxicities. Results of the phase 3 RTOG 1203 trial are needed to confirm these results.

Abstract
When recruiting research participants through central cancer registries, high response fractions help ensure population-based representation. We conducted multivariable mixed-effects logistic regression to identify case and study characteristics associated with making contact with and obtaining cooperation of Utah cancer cases using data from 17 unique recruitment efforts undertaken by the Utah Cancer Registry (2007-2016) on behalf of the following studies: A Population-Based Childhood Cancer Survivors Cohort Study in Utah, Comparative Effectiveness Analysis of Surgery and Radiation for Prostate Cancer (CEASAR Study), Costs and Benefits of Follow-up Care for Adolescent and Young Adult Cancers, Study of Exome Sequencing for Head and Neck Cancer Susceptibility Genes, Genetic Epidemiology of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, Impact of Remote Familial Colorectal Cancer Risk Assessment and Counseling (Family CARE Project), Massively Parallel Sequencing for Familial Colon Cancer Genes, Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma (MTC) Surveillance Study, Osteosarcoma Surveillance Study, Prostate Cancer Outcomes Study, Risk Education and Assessment for Cancer Heredity Project (REACH Project), Study of Shared Genomic Segment Analysis and Tumor Subtyping in High-Risk Breast-Cancer Gene Pedigrees, Study of Shared Genomic Segment Analysis for Localizing Multiple Myeloma Genes. Characteristics associated with lower odds of contact included Hispanic ethnicity (odds ratio (OR) = 0.34, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.27, 0.41), nonwhite race (OR = 0.46, 95% CI: 0.35, 0.60), and younger age at contact. Years since diagnosis was inversely associated with making contact. Nonwhite race and age ≥60 years had lower odds of cooperation. Study features with lower odds of cooperation included longitudinal design (OR = 0.50, 95% CI: 0.41, 0.61) and study brochures (OR = 0.70, 95% CI: 0.54, 0.90). Increased odds of cooperation were associated with including a questionnaire (OR = 3.19, 95% CI: 1.54, 6.59), postage stamps (OR = 1.60, 95% CI: 1.21, 2.12), and incentives (OR = 1.62, 95% CI: 1.02, 2.57). Among cases not responding after the first contact, odds of eventual response were lower when >10 days elapsed before subsequent contact (OR = 0.71, 95% CI: 0.59, 0.85). Obtaining high response is challenging, but study features identified in this analysis support better results when recruiting through central cancer registries.
