Abstract
OBJECTIVE Our aim was to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis evaluating the efficacy of standard treatment for stage IVB cervical cancer. METHOD Databases were searched for Phase III trials evaluating stage IVB CC patients according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) 2020 guidelines. Systematic review included Phase III trials evaluating first-line treatment of stage IVB cervical cancer (CC). A meta-analysis was pursued for Phase III trials establishing standard of care treatment that included independent analyses of stage IVB, persistent, and recurrent CC. RESULTS For the systematic review, 8 studies met inclusion criteria, with a total of 3,161 CC patients analyzed. Of these studies, three met criteria and included suitable data for meta-analysis - GOG 240, KEYNOTE-826, and BEATcc. Of the 1,479 women included in the meta-analysis, 289 (19.5 %) had stage IVB and 1,190 (80.5 %) had persistent or recurrent CC. HR of OS was 0.64 (95 % confidence interval (CI): 0.55-0.75) and 0.85 (95 % CI: 0.64-1.14) for persistent/recurrent and stage IVB CC, respectively. In the test of group differences, p-value was insignificant at 0.098. CONCLUSION While trials have assessed outcomes in stage IVB, persistent, and recurrent CC, new treatments demonstrate poorer PFS and OS for stage IVB compared to persistent and recurrent CC. The exact benefit for current standard of care for stage IVB CC could be better defined. Given that stage IVB CC has a different clinical course and treatment history compared to persistent and recurrent disease, stage IVB CC should be analyzed independently in future clinical trials.

Abstract
The upper mediastinal lymph nodes are a rare site of metastasis in early-stage cervical cancer, but they are a common site of metastasis in lung cancer. Notably, standard approaches for identifying the source of metastasis and subsequent treatment are currently lacking. The present study describes the case of a patient with primary lung adenocarcinoma harboring upper mediastinal lymphatic skip metastasis from cervical squamous cell carcinoma 2 years after a radical hysterectomy. During video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery, it was indicated that the patient had a tendency for metastasis to the upper mediastinal lymph nodes from the lung tumor. Pathological examination confirmed the presence of metastasis; however, it was confirmed to originate from cervical carcinoma, rather than lung adenocarcinoma. In conclusion, for patients with lung cancer and concurrent malignancies, metastatic lymph nodes discovered during surgery may originate from the previous malignancy. Surgical management of oligometastatic lymph nodes in the mediastinum can be a potential treatment option, albeit one that may necessitate the integration of adjuvant treatment modalities as warranted by the individual case.

Abstract
PURPOSE To investigate IMT use and survival in real-world stage IVB cervical cancer patients outside randomized clinical trials. METHODS Patients diagnosed with stage IVB cervical cancer during 2013-2019 in the National Cancer Database and treated with chemotherapy (CT) ± external beam radiation (EBRT) ± intracavitary brachytherapy (ICBT) ± IMT were studied. The adjusted hazard ratio (AHR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) for risk of death were estimated in patients treated with vs. without IMT after applying propensity score analysis to balance the clinical covariates. RESULTS There were 3164 evaluable patients, including 969 (31%) who were treated with IMT. The use of IMT increased from 11% in 2013 to 46% in 2019. Age, insurance, facility type, sites of distant metastasis, and type of first-line treatment were independently associated with using IMT. In propensity-score-balanced patients, the median survival was 18.6 vs. 13.1 months for with vs. without IMT (p < 0.001). The AHR was 0.72 (95% CI = 0.64-0.80) for adding IMT overall, 0.72 for IMT + CT, 0.66 for IMT + CT + EBRT, and 0.69 for IMT + CT + EBRT + ICBT. IMT-associated survival improvements were suggested in all subgroups by age, race/ethnicity, comorbidity score, facility type, tumor grade, tumor size, and site of metastasis. CONCLUSIONS IMT was associated with a consistent survival benefit in real-world patients with stage IVB cervical cancer.

Abstract
The aim of the current study is to investigate the survival outcome of stage IVB SCNEC of the uterine cervix in comparison to major histological subtypes of cervical cancer. A population-based retrospective cohort study was conducted using the Osaka Cancer Registry data from 1994 to 2018. All FIGO 2009 stage IVB cervical cancer patients who displayed squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), adenocarcinoma (A), adenosquamous cell carcinoma (AS), or small-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (SCNEC) were first identified. The patients were classified into groups according to the types of primary treatment. Then, their survival rates were examined using the Kaplan-Meier method. Overall, in a total of 1158 patients, clearly differential survival rates were observed according to the histological subtypes, and SCNEC was associated with shortest survival. When examined according to the types of primary treatments, SCNEC was associated with significantly decreased survival when compared to SCC or A/AS, except for those treated with surgery. In patients with FIGO 2009 stage IVB cervical cancer, SCNEC was associated with decreased survival when compared to SCC or A/AS. Although current treatments with either surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy have some therapeutic efficacies, to improve the prognosis, novel effective treatments specifically targeting cervical SCNEC need to be developed.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The present study identified survival and progression-free rates and evaluated prognostic factors for IVB stage cervical cancer in patients that presented with synchronous oligometastases (sync-oligometastases) who received definitive irradiation for primary and metastatic sites. METHODS The study retrospectively included 60 patients with newly diagnosed stage IVB cervical cancer. Patients received definitive radiation for both primary and metastatic sites through Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) or intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) followed by three dimensional-intracavitary/interstitial brachytherapy at our institution between July 2014 to December 2020. All patients were staged based on the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) 2018 guidelines. Overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), and patient prognostic factors were analyzed. RESULTS The 60 patients who received curative-intent irradiation for primary and metastatic sites showed a 5-year OS rate of 51.4% and a 5-year PFS rate of 25.9%. The median PFS was 52.3 months, and the median OS had not been reached. Lymphatic metastases had a better OS compared with hematogenous metastases (3-year OS rates: 57.2% vs. 20%, p = 0.017). Patients with one metastasis site showed a more favorable prognosis than patients with ≥ 2 metastases sites (3-year OS rates: 60.4% vs. 20.6%, p = 0.003). Patients that presented with tumors larger than 4 cm in diameter before treatment demonstrated a poorer prognosis (5-year OS rates: 41.2% vs. 65.2%, p = 0.029; 5-year PFS rates: 10.4% vs. 53.7%, p = 0.021). CONCLUSION Definitive irradiation for both primary and oligo-metastatic sites for selected IVB patients is a feasible treatment strategy. Metastatic type, number of metastatic sites, and pre-treatment tumor diameter were significant prognostic factors. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy, the lymph nodal metastatic type (supraclavicular or inguinal), and number of lymphatic metastatic sites failed to reach statistical significance as prognostic factors.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate clinicopathologic features and oncologic outcomes of patients with neuroendocrine cervical carcinoma in an institutional neuroendocrine cervical tumor registry. METHODS Retrospective study including patients with neuroendocrine cervical carcinomas diagnosed between 1986 and 2022. Patients were categorized into International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics 2018 stage groups: early-stage (IA1-IB2, IIA1); locally advanced (IB3, IIA2-IVA); and advanced (IVB). Clinicopathologic characteristics and oncologic outcomes were evaluated by stage. Survival was compared between patients diagnosed in 1986-2003 and those diagnosed in 2004-2016. Progression-free and overall survival were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier product-limit estimator. RESULTS A total of 453 patients was included, 133 (29%) with early-stage, 226 (50%) with locally advanced, and 94 (21%) with advanced disease. Median age was 38 years (range 21-93). Sixty-nine percent (306/453) had pure and 32% (146/453) had mixed histology. The node positivity rate (surgical or radiological detection) was 19% (21/108) for tumors ≤2 cm, 37% (39/105) for tumors >2 to ≤4 cm, and 61% (138/226) for tumors >4 cm (p<0.0001). After primary treatment, rates of complete response were 86% (115/133) for early-stage, 65% (147/226) for locally advanced, and 19% (18/94) for advanced disease (p<0.0001). The recurrence/progression rate was 43% for early-stage, 69% for locally advanced, and 80% for advanced disease (p<0.0001). Five-year progression-free and overall survival rates were 59% (95% CI 50% to 68%) and 71% (95% CI 62% to 80%), respectively, for early-stage, 28% (95% CI 22% to 35%) and 36% (95% CI 29% to 43%), respectively, for locally advanced, and 6% (95% CI 0% to 11%) and 12% (95% CI 5% to 19%), respectively, for advanced disease. For early-stage disease, the 5-year progression-free survival rate was 68% for tumors ≤2 cm and 43% for tumors >2 to ≤4 cm (p=0.0013). Receiving cisplatin/carboplatin plus etoposide (HR=0.33, 95% CI 0.17 to 0.63, p=0.0008) and receiving curative radiotherapy (HR=0.32, 95% CI 0.17 to 0.6, p=0.0004) were positive predictors of survival for patients with advanced disease. CONCLUSION Among patients with neuroendocrine cervical carcinomas, overall survival is favorable for patients with early-stage disease. However, most patients present with locally advanced disease, and overall survival remains poor in this subgroup. For patients with advanced disease, receiving cisplatin/carboplatin plus etoposide and curative radiation therapy is associated with improved overall survival.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The objective of this systematic review was to assess the oncologic outcomes of patients with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) 2018 stage IVB cervical cancer receiving definitive pelvic radiotherapy compared with systemic chemotherapy (with or without palliative pelvic radiotherapy). METHODS This study was registered in PROSPERO (registration number CRD42022333433). A systematic literature review was conducted following the MOOSE checklist. MEDLINE (through Ovid), Embase, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials were searched from inception until August 2022. The inclusion criteria were patients with metastatic FIGO 2018 stage IVB cervical cancer, a histologic subtype of squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, or adenosquamous carcinoma that received definitive pelvic radiotherapy (≥45 Gy) as part of management compared with systemic chemotherapy with or without palliative (30 Gy) pelvic radiotherapy. Randomized controlled trials and observational studies with two arms of comparison were considered. RESULTS The search identified 4653 articles; 26 studies were considered potentially eligible after removing duplicates, and 8 met the selection criteria. In total, 2424 patients were included. There were 1357 and 1067 patients in the definitive radiotherapy and chemotherapy groups, respectively. All included studies were retrospective cohort studies, and two were database population studies. The median overall survival reported in seven studies for the definitive radiotherapy arm versus systemic chemotherapy groups were 63.7 months versus 18.4 months (p<0.01), 14 months versus 16 months (p value not reported), 17.6 months versus 10.6 months (p<0.01), 32 months versus 24 months (p<0.01), 17.3 months versus 10 months (p<0.01), and 41.6 months versus 17.6 months (p<0.01), and not reached versus 19 months (p=0.13) respectively, favoring the groups that received definitive pelvic radiotherapy. The high clinical heterogeneity precluded the performance of meta-analysis, and all studies were at serious risk of bias. CONCLUSIONS Definitive pelvic radiotherapy as part of treatment in patients with stage IVB cervical cancer may improve oncologic outcomes compared with systemic chemotherapy (with or without palliative radiotherapy); however, this is based on low-quality data. Prospective evaluation would be ideal before the adoption of this intervention in standard clinical practice.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The use of chemoradiation in patients with stage IVB cancer of the cervix was evaluated to determine if definitive treatment offers benefit. METHODS A database of 546 patients with cancer of the cervix treated between January 2005 and May 2021 at a tertiary academic medical center was reviewed retrospectively to identify patients with stage IVB disease. Log rank test, regression analysis, and the Kaplan-Meier method were used to identify and compare variables and estimate progression free survival and overall survival. RESULTS Thirty-three patients with stage IVB cervical cancer were identified. Median age was 53 years (range 28-78). Pathology subtypes were squamous cell (n=22, 67%), adenocarcinoma (n=8, 24%), and clear cell (n=3, 9%). Metastases were classified as lymphatic (n=14, 42%) or hematogenous (n=19, 58%). Following treatment to all sites with chemoradiotherapy and selected use of surgery (n=23), six patients (26%, lymphatic n=4, hematogenous n=2) remained disease free for a median duration of 4 years (range 3-17 years). Recurrences in the remaining patients were distant (n=13) or local (n=4). All patients in the chemotherapy group (n=10, 100%) progressed. Kaplan-Meier analysis showed that median progression free survival was longer for patients treated at all disease sites than for patients treated with chemotherapy alone (19 vs 11 months, p=0.01). However, this was not the case for overall survival (49 vs 33 months, p=0.15). Patients with metastases limited to lymph nodes also had longer median progression free survival (22 vs 11 months, p=0.04) but not overall survival (p=0.68). CONCLUSIONS Patients with stage IVB cancer of the cervix may benefit from treatment to all sites of disease, if feasible and safe, as demonstrated by improved progression free survival.

Abstract
Background Cervical cancer with nodal involvement beyond the pelvis was considered as distant nodal metastasis in the previous International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics staging system. With the improvement of cancer-directed therapies, some of these patients can receive curative treatment. Classifying them as distant metastasis may result in underestimation of their prognosis as well as undertreatment. However, limited research has been conducted on the survival and treatment pattern in distant lymphatic metastatic cervical cancer. Objective To investigate the survival, treatment pattern, and treatment outcome of patients with cervical cancer metastasized to distant lymph nodes (DLN) beyond the pelvis. Methods Patients with stage III-IV cervical cancer from 1988 to 2016 were identified using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results program. The cancer cause-specific survival (CSS) was analyzed using the Kaplan-Meier method, log-rank test, multivariable Cox proportional hazard regression, subgroup analysis, and propensity score-matched analysis. Results Of 17783 patients with stage III-IV cervical cancer, patients with distant nodal disease beyond the pelvis (n=1883; included para-aortic lymph nodes metastasis) had superior survival compared to those with pelvic organ invasion or with distant organ(s) metastasis (5-year CSS, 32.3%, 26.3%, and 11.5%, respectively; adjusted P<0.001). The T stage significantly affected the survival of patients with positive DLN (5-year CSS for T1, T2, and T3: 47.3%, 37.0%, and 19.8%, respectively, adjusted P<0.01). For patients with positive DLN, combination radiotherapy (external beam radiotherapy [EBRT] with brachytherapy) prolonged CSS compared to EBRT alone (5-year CSS, 38.0% vs 21.7%; propensity score-adjusted HR, 0.60; 95% CI 0.51-0.72; P<0.001). Despite the superiority of combination radiotherapy, EBRT was the most frequently used treatment after 2004 (483/1214, 39.8%), while the utilization of combination radiotherapy declined from 37.8% (253/669) during 1988 through 2003 to 25.2% (306/1214) during 2004 through 2016. Conclusion Patients with cervical cancer metastasized to DLN have favorable survival compared to those with pelvic organ invasion or with distant organ(s) metastasis. Their prognosis is significantly affected by local tumor burden and local treatment. Adequate and aggressive local radiotherapy, such as image-guided brachytherapy, can be considered for these patients to achieve better outcomes.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the value of local treatment in stage IVB cervical cancer (CC). METHODS Patients diagnosed with stage IVB CC between 2010 and 2015 were included using the data from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results program. Propensity score matching (PSM) was used to balance the clinicopathological variables of patients. Multivariate Cox regression analyses were performed to analyze the risk factors associated with cause-specific survival (CSS). RESULTS We identified 960 patients in this study, all patients had received chemotherapy. Of these patients, 818 patients were treated with local treatment (85.2%), including 724 (88.5%) and 94 (11.5%) patients receiving radiotherapy (RT) alone and surgery ± RT, respectively. Local treatment was the independent prognostic factor associated with better CSS. Before PSM, patients who received RT (hazard ratio [HR] 0.633, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.517-0.775, P < 0.001) or surgery (HR 0.391, 95% CI 0.277-0.552, P < 0.001) were independently associated with a better CSS compared to those with no local treatment. The 3-years CSS rate was 14.4%, 32.4%, and 54.8% in no local treatment, RT alone, and surgery groups, respectively (P < 0.001). Similar results were found after PSM. Patients receiving RT (HR 0.643, 95% CI 0.436-0.947, P = 0.025) and surgery (HR 0.146, 95% CI 0.052-0.410, P < 0.001) had better CSS compared to patients with no local treatment after PSM. While similar CSS was shown between RT alone cohort and the surgery cohort (HR 0.756, 95% CI 0.454-1.260, P = 0.284). CONCLUSIONS The addition of local surgery or RT to chemotherapy appears to confer improved survival outcomes in patients with stage IVB CC.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This multicenter, open-label, phase II study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of paclitaxel-carboplatin, bevacizumab, and bevacizumab-based maintenance therapy for metastatic, recurrent, and persistent uterine cervical cancer. METHODS Patients with measurable diseases that were not adapted to regional therapies, such as surgery or radiotherapy, and were systematic chemotherapy-naïve were eligible. The participants received paclitaxel (175 mg/m2), carboplatin (AUC 5), and bevacizumab (15 mg/m2) every three weeks until disease progression or unacceptable adverse events occurred. The primary endpoint was progression-free survival (PFS). The secondary endpoints were overall response rate (ORR), overall survival (OS), safety, and time to treatment failure. RESULTS Sixty-nine patients were analyzed using our protocol. The median paclitaxel- carboplatin therapy duration was six cycles; 40% of patients received bevacizumab maintenance therapy. The median PFS was 11.3 months. The median OS was not reached; the median time to treatment failure was 5.9 months. The ORR was 79.7% [95% confidence interval (CI) 63.8-88.4]; 16 patients (23.2%) showed complete response (CR) and 39 patients (56.5%) showed partial response (PR). The median PFS was 14.3 months (95% CI 7.3-17 months) for the 25 patients who received maintenance therapy and 7.4 months (95% CI 6.1-11 months) for nonrecipients (p = 0.0449). Gastrointestinal perforation/fistulas occurred in four patients (5.6%), all of whom had a history of radiation therapy. CONCLUSIONS Paclitaxel-carboplatin and bevacizumab therapy is an acceptable and tolerable treatment for advanced or recurrent cervical cancer.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the survival impact of adding definitive pelvic radiation therapy (RT) to chemotherapy among patients with stage IVB neuroendocrine cervical carcinoma (NECC). METHODS We retrospectively studied patients with FIGO 2018 stage IVB NECC diagnosed during 1998-2020 who received chemotherapy with or without definitive whole pelvic RT (concurrent or sequential). Demographic, oncologic, and treatment characteristics were summarized. Progression-free (PFS) and overall survival (OS) were plotted using the Kaplan-Meier method, and hazard ratios (HRs) were calculated using Cox regression. RESULTS The study included 71 patients. Median age was 43 years (range, 24-75). Fifty-nine patients (83%) had pure neuroendocrine histology, and 57 (80%) had pretreatment tumor size >4 cm. Fifty-six patients (79%) received chemotherapy alone with (n = 15) or without (n = 41) palliative pelvic RT, and 15 (21%) received chemotherapy and definitive pelvic RT (chemo+RT). Median follow-up time was 20.1 months (range, 11.3-170.3) for the chemo+RT group and 13.5 months (range, 0.9-73.6) for the chemotherapy-alone group. Median PFS was 10.3 months (95% CI, 7.5-∞) for the chemo+RT group vs 6.6 months (95% CI, 6.1-8.7) for the chemotherapy-alone group (p = 0.0097). At 24 months, the PFS rate was 24% for chemo+RT vs 7.8% for chemotherapy alone. Median OS was 20.3 months (95% CI, 18.5-∞) for the chemo+RT group vs 13.6 months (95% CI, 11.3-19.2) for the chemotherapy-alone group (p = 0.0013). At 24 months, the OS rate was 49.2% for chemo+RT vs 21.5% for chemotherapy alone. In a Cox regression model, definitive RT was associated with improved PFS (HR, 0.44; 95% CI, 0.23-0.83; p = 0.0119) and OS (HR, 0.31; 95% CI, 0.14-0.65; p = 0.0022). CONCLUSIONS Addition of definitive pelvic RT to chemotherapy may improve survival in patients with stage IVB NECC.

Abstract
Radiation can be considered on an individual basis for recurrent/metastatic disease. Definitive radiation trended towards improved PFS but not statistically significant. Any radiation associated with improved OS (statistically significant) Increased adverse events seen with any radiation use.
Objective Platinum-based chemotherapy and bevacizumab is the standard treatment for stage IVB cervical cancer. When metastases resolve, the benefit of radiating the primary tumor is unclear. We investigate the effect of pelvic radiation on PFS following chemotherapy and bevacizumab in stage IVB cervical cancer. Methods This is a retrospective series of 29 patients with stage IVB cervical cancer treated with platinum-based chemotherapy and bevacizumab. 3 subgroups were evaluated: definitive pelvic radiation, palliative radiation, and no radiation. The primary outcome was the mean PFS. Progression was determined radiographically. Kaplan-Meier method and the log-rank test for equality analyzed OS and PFS. Results The median OS was 38.4 months. 11 patients (38%) received definitive radiation, 9 (31%) received palliative and 9 (31%) received no radiation. 7/8 in the palliative group, 7/10 who received no radiation and all in the definitive group experienced progression. The median PFS was 7.5 months and not statistically different (p = 0.62). The median OS was not attained in the definitive group, was 23 months [19.6, -] for the palliative group and 19 months [24.9–45.4] for the no radiation group (p = 0.13). OS was higher in patients receiving definitive radiation vs all others (median OS survival not reached vs 6.6 months, p = 0.04). No difference in PFS between those receiving definitive radiation vs others (12 months vs 5.1 months p = 0.32). Conclusion Definitive radiation is associated with improved survival among in stage IVB cervical cancer treated with chemotherapy and bevacizumab. This association could be due to treatment, patient, or disease factors associated with improved oncologic outcomes. In absence of higher-level data, shared decision-making with consideration for comorbidities and performance status should be employed.

Abstract
Objective The Korean Radiation Oncology Group conducted a nationwide questionnaire survey to evaluate the patterns of clinical practice for patients with cervical cancer receiving definitive radiation therapy (RT) in South Korea. Methods Practicing radiation oncologists from 93 centers in South Korea were administered a questionnaire survey via e-mail. The survey focused on demographic characteristics, diagnostic evaluation, indications for definitive RT, RT techniques, RT field and dose prescription, lymph node (LN) boost RT, brachytherapy, and chemotherapy. Results The response rate was 62.4% (58/93 institutions). Of the 2,134 patients treated at the radiation oncology department in 2019, 48.8% underwent definitive RT. The selection of patients for definitive concurrent chemoradiation therapy and RT field, and RT dose prescription varied greatly. The upper border of the pelvis was commonly used as the bony landmark for external beam RT (81%–88% of respondents). Most (96.6%) centers performed LN boost RT with median total doses of 59 Gy and 59.2 Gy for pelvic and retroperitoneal LN, respectively. With 50% of the centers offering brachytherapy, image-guided brachytherapy and volume-based prescription were applied in 48.3% and 37.9%, respectively. Upfront concurrent chemoradiation therapy with varying prescription doses was considered by 60.4% respondents in cases of supraclavicular LN metastasis. Conclusion Most differences were noted in the indications for treatment, RT field, and prescription dose. This finding can serve as a reference for establishing practical RT guidelines for the management of locally advanced cervical cancer.

Abstract
PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to explore the value of brachytherapy (BT) in metastatic cervical cancer, as it has not been well evaluated before. METHODS AND MATERIALS We analyzed 2391 patients with Stage IVB cervical cancer from 2004 to 2015 by using data from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results registry. The parameters were analyzed by Kaplan-Meier and Cox proportional hazards regression models to evaluate cancer-specific survival (CSS) and overall survival. RESULTS In general, both univariate and multivariate analysis showed that age, histologic type, tumor size, and chemotherapy were associated with CSS and overall survival (p < 0.05). Further subgroup analysis showed BT alone or BT combined with external beam radiotherapy improved CSS despite the tumor size. In addition, chemotherapy and chemoradiotherapy prolonged CSS compared with external beam radiotherapy alone or no chemotherapy or radiotherapy independently of tumor size (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS For newly diagnosed metastatic cervical cancers, BT with or without external beam radiotherapy is associated with improved survival. As an aggressive option, chemoradiotherapy is also a potential treatment strategy.
