Abstract
The in situ generated aza-π-allylpalladium species, formed via the palladium-catalyzed decarboxylation of vinyloxazolidine-2,4-diones, were successfully used for the divergent reaction with 2-alkynylphenols and 2-alkynylanilines. Using Pd2(dba)3·CHCl3 as the catalyst and Cu(OTf)2 as the additive, a range of 2,3-disubstituted benzofurans and indoles were obtained in moderate to excellent yields. However, when PPh3 ligand was added, a series of γ-O/N-substituted α,β-unsaturated amides were obtained in acceptable yields. This reaction demonstrates that vinyloxazolidine-2,4-diones are capable of undergoing palladium-catalyzed decarboxylative allylic functionalization with carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen nucleophiles.

Abstract
Indolin-3-ones are essential heterocycles with wide-ranging biological activities and medicinal values, and therefore, efficient approaches to their synthesis remain in demand. Herein, a novel and operationally simple method to generate indolin-3-ones is reported by using a tandem reaction of N-methylbenzylamines and methyl 2-fluorobenzoates mediated by the LiN(SiMe3)2 and CsF system (34 examples, 30-85% yields). The synthesis of C2-quaternary indolin-3-one further demonstrated the potential practicability of these tandem reactions.

Abstract
A direct ring-closing strategy involving a less facile 7-endo-dig carbacyclization of o-alkynylaniline derivatives for the synthesis of benzo[b]azepines has been presented. The trivial well-documented 5-endo-dig cyclization in o-alkynylaniline derivatives due to high nucleophilicity of nitrogen has been overcome by using their vinylogous amides under gold catalysis to access a wide array of benzo[b]azepines in an atom economical way with excellent functional group compatibility. Deuterium scrambling experiments and DFT studies favor a mechanism involving stabilizing conformational change of the initially formed seven-membered vinyl gold intermediate through a key cyclopropyl gold carbene intermediate and its subsequent protodeauration mediated by the counter anion.

Abstract
A novel enantiopure π-allylruthenium(IV) precatalyst allowed the enantioselective and stereospecific allylations of indoles and gave access to indolin-3-ones, containing vicinal stereogenic centers. Facile separation of diastereoisomers exhibiting opposite circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) activities in diverse solvents, including water, demonstrated the potential of these sustainable transformations and of the newly prepared molecules.

Abstract
An efficient gold(I)-catalyzed redox cycloisomerization/nucleophilic addition/reduction reaction of o-nitroalkynes with various H-phosphorus oxides is established. Through the intramolecular redox cyclization of o-nitroalkynes and subsequent intermolecular nucleophilic addition/reduction with no external reactant, a variety of arylphosphoryl and alkylphosphoryl indolin-3-ones with high functional-group compatibility are obtained in moderate to good yields. Mechanistic studies suggest that phosphorus nucleophiles mediate the cleavage of the N-O bond as a reductant.

Abstract
A simple and novel solid-supported organocatalyst from a 2-chlorotrityl chloride resin-immobilized 4-hydroxyproline was developed, and this organocatalyst has been used for the asymmetric Mannich reaction of 2-aryl-3H-indol-3-ones and aldehydes/ketones. A series of C2-quaternary indolin-3-ones were prepared in good yields (up to 83%) and with excellent diastereoselectivities (up to 20 : 1) and enantioselectivities (up to 99% ee). In addition, the organocatalyst can be recovered by simple filtration and also be reused for the asymmetric Mannich reaction without significant loss of catalytic efficiency. A simple and novel solid-supported organocatalyst from a 2-chlorotrityl chloride resin-immobilized 4-hydroxyproline was developed, which has been used for the asymmetric Mannich reaction of 2-aryl-3H-indol-3-ones and aldehydes/ketones.![]()

Abstract
Structurally unique 2,2-disubstituted indolin-3-ones with a quaternary carbon center have been constructed through a novel C-C bond formation at the C3 position of Ugi N-acylamino amide adducts employing an organic base-mediated Dieckmann condensation. This facile, flexible protocol can be fine-tuned to construct drug-like pyrazino[1,2-a]indole fragments with the same quaternary carbon center only through the variation of the acid part in Ugi input. This novel and expeditious methodology has a broad scope and can rapidly generate the drug-like indolin-3-one core.

Abstract
An efficient Rh/Pd relay catalyzed intermolecular and cascade intramolecular hydroamination for the synthesis of exclusive trans 1-indolyl dihydronaphthalenols (up to 88% yield, 99% ee) is described under mild conditions. Moreover, the in silico and in vitro screening showed that the novel 1-indolyl dihydronaphthalenol products are potent lead compounds for treating inflammation disease.

Abstract
The oxidative, dearomative cross-dehydrogenative coupling of indoles with various C-H nucleophiles is developed. This process features a broad substrate scope with respect to both indoles and nucleophiles, affording structurally diverse 2,2-disubstituted indolin-3-ones in high yields (up to 99%). The oxidative dimerization and trimerization of indoles has also been demonstrated under the same conditions.

Abstract
A novel copper-catalyzed [3 + 2] cycloaddition reaction of alkynes with nitrile oxides generated in situ from the coupling reaction of copper carbene and nitroso radical has been developed. The three-component reaction provides a simple and efficient method for the construction of isoxazoles in a highly regioselective manner in a single step. On the basis of the experimental results and density functional theory calculations, a catalytic cycle (CuI-CuII-Cu0-CuI) for this cascade cyclization reaction is proposed.

Abstract
An efficient protocol for the synthesis of 2,2-disubstituted indolin-3-ones under mild conditions has been developed. This reaction involves the copper-catalyzed in situ oxidative de-aromatization of 2-arylindoles to indol-3-one, followed by self-dimerization as well as cross-addition with indoles under mild conditions. The result generates a wide variety of C2-tetrasubstituted indolin-3-ones with good to high yields (62–82%). A general protocol for the synthesis of 2,2-disubstituted indolin-3-ones has been developed through self-dimerization of 2-aryl indoles and cross-addition with indoles under mild Cu-catalyzed oxidative conditions with good to high yields.![]()

Abstract
A copper-catalyzed process for the synthesis of substituted quinazolines from benzonitriles and 2-ethynylanilines using molecular oxygen (O2) as sole oxidant is described. The mild catalytic system enabled the effective cleavage of the C-C triple bond and construction of new C-N and C-C bonds in one operation. Furthermore, the compound N, N-dimethyl-4-(2-(4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)quinazolin-4-yl)aniline (3dj) exhibited obvious aggregation-induced emission phenomenon, and the fluorescence quantum yield (ΦF,film) and lifetime (τfilm) were measured to be 45.5% and 5.8 ns in thin films state, respectively.

Abstract
An efficient and convenient method with wide applicability for the synthesis of C2-tetrasubstituted indolin-3-ones via copper-catalyzed redox cycloisomerization of nonprefunctionalized nitroalkynes has been developed. This protocol features simple operation, readily available starting materials, good functional group tolerance, broad scope, and diboron as the reductant.
