Abstract
Planar microsupercapacitors (MSCs) are of great value for flexible and wearable electronics. The rational design of electrode materials with rapid ionic kinetics and sufficient active site exposure is critical but challenging for realizing high-energy MSCs. Herein, we report the dot-tube-sheet multidimensional heterostructure films (MHFs) with versatile patterns by a simple mask-assisted strategy, consisting of 0D carbon dots (CDs), 1D carboxyl-carbon nanotubes (c-CNTs), and 2D Ti3C2 MXene nanosheets. Thanks to the high electrical conductivity, enlarged interlayer spacing, abundant porous channels, and excellent mechanical strength, the CDs/c-CNTs/Ti3C2 MHF electrodes deliver a remarkable areal capacitance of 1162.6 mF cm-2 at 0.8 mA cm-2 and prominent cycling stability (107.1% capacitance retention after 10,000 cycles) in a 1 M H2SO4 electrolyte. Moreover, the fabricated solid-state CDs/c-CNTs/Ti3C2 MSCs achieve a high energy density (11.1 mWh cm-2) and long-term cycling lifespan (102.1% capacitance retention after 8000 cycles), superior to those of state-of-the-art MSCs. The parallel and serial interconnected modular power sources highlight the potential for powering the actual energy consumption products.

Abstract
Robust, conductive and flexible electrode materials have been the focus of attention in portable, wearable electronics. However, it is still a significant challenge to achieve synergistic development of multiple properties simultaneously. Herein, we propose a combination of microscale design and nanostructures strategy to prepare MXene/cellulose nanofiber-poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiphoenes):polystyrene sulfonate (Ti3C2Tx/CNF-PEDOT:PSS, TC-P) hybrid film by a simple in-situ polymerization and vacuum filtration process. CNF serves as the supporting skeleton of PEDOT:PSS, effectively mitigating its self-aggregation and structural deformation due to the expansion/contraction of the polymer network. And the CNF-PEDOT:PSS composite is capable to open up the interlayer space of Ti3C2Tx, which reduces the self-stacking of Ti3C2Tx nanosheets. The strong interactions among the three components enable the hybrid film electrode to possess both flexibility and high electrochemical properties. As a result, the film electrode exhibits a remarkable tensile strength of 77.4 MPa and an excellent conductivity of 162.5 S cm-1, as well as an outstanding areal specific capacitance of 896 mF cm-2 at 4 mA cm-2. Moreover, the assembled symmetric supercapacitor (SSC) device displays a large areal energy density of 62 µWh cm-2 at a power density of 800 µW cm-2 and demonstrates a long cycle life with 85.1 % capacitance retention after 10,000 GCD cycles. This study provides an effective strategy to balance mechanical flexibility and electrochemical properties, providing an inspiration to prepare flexible electrodes that are widely applied in a new generation of portable, wearable electronics.

Abstract
In this study, we successfully developed a hybrid architecture referred to as MoS2@MX, involving the integration of MoS2 layered onto MXene using a straightforward co-precipitation method. This innovative hybrid photocatalyst exhibited remarkable efficiency in removing oxytetracycline (OTC) molecules from aqueous solutions under visible-light irradiation. During the photocatalytic process, both MoS2 and MX played distinct yet complementary roles. MoS2 facilitated efficient electron transfer, while MX contributed to the generation of radicals. This unique collaboration resulted in a noteworthy 99 % oxidation efficiency for OTC degradation within a brief 60 min of visible light exposure in an aqueous environment. The radicals 1O2 and •OH were identified as the principal drivers behind OTC degradation, underscoring the vital role of the hybrid material. Mechanistically, the degradation of OTC involved several key steps, including C-H bond cleavage, de-carboxylation, C-N bond oxidation, and de-chlorination. Importantly, the MoS2@MX hybrid composite demonstrated remarkable stability, maintaining a noteworthy photocatalytic efficiency of 89 % for targeted OTC removal after undergoing five consecutive cycles. In conclusion, this study emphasizes the potential of the MoS2@MX hybrid material as an effective agent for degrading organic OTC compounds within aquatic environments. The hybrid's multifaceted roles and exceptional performance suggest promising applications in sustainable water treatment.

Abstract
The rational design and construction of composite electrodes are crucial for overcoming the issues of poor working stability and slow ionic electron mobility of a single component. Nevertheless, it is a big challenge to construct core-shell heterostructures with crystalline/amorphous/crystalline heterointerfaces in straightforward and efficient methods. Here, we have successfully converted a portion of crystalline CoGa2O4 into the amorphous phase by employing a facile sulfidation process (denoted as CoGa2O4-S), followed by anchoring crystalline NiCo-layered double hydroxide (denoted as NiCo-LDH) nanoarrays onto hexagonal plates and nucleation points of CoGa2O4-S, synthesizing dual-type hexagonal and flower-like 3D CoGa2O4-S@NiCo-LDH core-shell heterostructures with crystalline/amorphous/crystalline heterointerfaces on carbon cloth. Furthermore, we further adjust the Ni/Co ratio in LDH, achieving precise and controllable core-shell heterostructures. Benefiting from the abundant crystalline/amorphous/crystalline heterointerfaces and synergistic effect among various components, the CoGa2O4-S@Ni2Co1-LDH electrode exhibits a specific capacity of 247.8 mAh·g-1 at 1 A·g-1 and good rate performance. A CoGa2O4-S@Ni2Co1-LDH//AC flexible asymmetric supercapacitor provides an energy density of 58.2 Wh·kg-1 at a power density of 850 W·kg-1 and exhibits an impressive capacitance retention of 105.7% after 10,000 cycles at 10 A·g-1. Our research provides profound insights into the design of other similar core-shell heterostructures.

Abstract
Considering the superior capacitive performance and rich redox kinetics, the two-dimensional (2D) layered molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) and transition metal nitrides (TMNs) have emerged as the latest set of nanomaterials. Direct incorporation of key materials vanadium nitride (VN) and tungsten nitride (W2N) into a MoS2 array has been achieved on cost-effective, bendable stainless steel (SS) foil via a reactive cosputtering route. Herein, we have utilized the synergistic effect of intermixed nanohybrids to develop a flexible asymmetric supercapacitor (FASC) device from MoS2-VN@SS (negative) and MoS2-W2N@SS (positive) electrodes. As-constructed FASC cell possesses a maximum operational potential of 1.80 V and an exceptional gravimetric capacitance of 200 F g-1 at a sweep rate of 5 mV s-1. The sustained capacitive performance mainly accounts for the synergism induced through unique interfacial surface architecture provided by MoS2 nanoworms and TMN conductive hosts. The sulfur and nitrogen edges ensure the transport channels to Li+/SO4-2 ions for intercalation/deintercalation into the composite nanostructured thin film, further promoting the pseudocapacitive behavior. Consequently, the supercapacitor cell exhibits a distinctive specific energy of 87.91 Wh kg-1 at 0.87 kW kg-1 specific power and a reduced open circuit potential (OCP) decay rate (∼42% self-discharge after 60 min). Moreover, the assembled flexible device exhibits nearly unperturbed electrochemical response even at bending at 165° angle and illustrates a commendable cyclic life-span of 82% after 20,000 charge-discharge cycles, elucidating advanced mechanical robustness and capacitance retentivity. The powering of a multicolor light-emitting diode (LED) and electronic digital watch facilitates the practical evidence to open up possibilities in next-generation state-of-the-art wearable and miniaturized energy storage systems.

Abstract
As the requirements for wearable electronic devices continue to increase, the development of bendable and foldable supercapacitors is becoming critical. However, it is still challenging to design free-standing electrodes with flexibility and high electrical conductivity. Herein, using carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) as the biological template and poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) as the electroactive material, a flexible CMC/PEDOT:PSS membrane with a cross-linked mesh structure was firstly synthesized by a facile in-situ polymerization and vacuum filtration process. Subsequently, the CMC/PEDOT:PSS membrane was further treated with dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) to remove the excess PSS, thereby enhancing their electrochemical performance. The results showed that the best performing hybrid membrane had good mechanical properties (tensile strength of 48.1 MPa) and high electrical conductivity (45.1 S cm-1). The assembled asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) is capable of delivering an energy density of 181.9 μW h cm-2 at a power density of 750 μW cm-2 and maintains an initial capacitance of 93.4 % and a coulombic efficiency of 100 % after 10,000 GCD cycles, demonstrating an ultra-long cycle life. Moreover, good electrochemical properties can be retained even in the bent and folded state. Therefore, the hybrid membrane electrode with both flexibility and high electrochemical performance has great potential for application in wearable electronics.

Abstract
Two-dimensional transition metal titanium carbide (Ti3 C2 Tx ) as a promising candidate material for batteries and supercapacitors has shown excellent electrochemical performance, but it is difficult to meet practical applications because of its poor morphology structure, low mechanical properties, and expensive process. Here, an applied and efficient method based on microfluidic wet-fusing spinning chemistry (MWSC) is proposed to construct hierarchical structure of MXene-based fiber fabrics (MFFs), allowing the availability of MFF electrodes with ultrastrong toughness, high conductivity, and easily machinable properties. First, a dot-sheet structure constructed by graphene quantum dots (GQDs) and MXene nanosheets with multianchor interaction in the microchannel of a microfluidic device enhances the mechanical strength of MXene fibers; next, the interfused fiber network structure of Ti3 C2 Tx /GQDs fabrics assembled by the MWSC process enhances the deformability of the whole fabrics; finally, the core-shell structure of PANI@Ti3 C2 Tx /GQDs architected by in-situ polymerization growth of polyaniline (PANI) nanofibers provides more ion-accessible pathways and sites for kinetic migration and ion accumulation. Through the morphology and microstructure design, this strategy has directive significance to the large-scale preparation of conductive fabric electrodes and provides a viable solution for simultaneously enhancing mechanical strength and electrochemical performance of conductive fabric electrodes.

Abstract
MXenes have attracted considerable attention in the field of energy storage and conversion due to their high surface area, excellent electrical conductivity, and ability to intercalate various ions. However, simultaneously achieving high capacitance, rate capability, cycling stability, and mechanical flexibility is a significant challenge for designing MXene-based supercapacitors. In this article, we explored MXene-BiFeO3-ZnO nanocomposites for both photocatalytic and electric double-layer supercapacitor applications. While the BiFeO3-ZnO nanohybrid heterostructure improves the charge separation properties in nanocomposite photocatalysts, it was applied as an interlayer spacer between the MXene layers to prevent the stacking effect of electrodes in the supercapacitor. Furthermore, the optimization of MXene content in the nanocomposite was established by photocatalytic studies on methylene blue dye, which revealed a maximum of 98.72% degradation under direct sunlight with superior stability. The electrochemical studies on the best composition material reveal a maximum areal capacitance (Ccv) of 142.8 mF cm-2, an energy density (E) of 1.65 μW h cm-2, and a capacitive retention of 99.98% after 8000 cycles at 7 μA cm-2. Additionally, the flexible solid-state supercapacitor fabricated with the same material demonstrates an areal capacitance of 47.6 mF cm-2 and a capacitive retention of 66% after 8000 cycles at 7 μA cm-2, with potential for high-performance flexible supercapacitors.

Abstract
Exploring anode materials with an excellent electrochemical performance is of great significance for supercapacitor applications. In this work, a N-doped-carbon-nanofiber (NCNF)-supported Fe3C/Fe2O3 nanoparticle (NCFCO) composite was synthesized via the facile carbonizing and subsequent annealing of electrospinning nanofibers containing an Fe source. In the hybrid structure, the porous carbon nanofibers used as a substrate could provide fast electron and ion transport for the Faradic reactions of Fe3C/Fe2O3 during charge-discharge cycling. The as-obtained NCFCO yields a high specific capacitance of 590.1 F g-1 at 2 A g-1, superior to that of NCNF-supported Fe3C nanoparticles (NCFC, 261.7 F g-1), and NCNFs/Fe2O3 (NCFO, 398.3 F g-1). The asymmetric supercapacitor, which was assembled using the NCFCO anode and activated carbon cathode, delivered a large energy density of 14.2 Wh kg-1 at 800 W kg-1. Additionally, it demonstrated an impressive capacitance retention of 96.7%, even after 10,000 cycles. The superior electrochemical performance can be ascribed to the synergistic contributions of NCNF and Fe3C/Fe2O3.

Abstract
Faraday-type electrode materials and devices for electrochemical capacitors have been widely investigated. However, their applications are severely limited by the preparation method and cost of electrode materials. In this work, high-performance electrochemical capacitors were successfully assembled using Fe2O3-decorated reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanocomposites and NiCo-Layered Double Hydroxides (LDH) as the anode and cathode, respectively. An easy and efficient approach (the modified precipitation method) for the large-scale fabrication was used to prepare Fe2O3 and NiCo-LDH, supported by rGO sheets, respectively. The anode material, Fe2O3-rGO, exhibited an excellent specific capacitance (Csp) of 1073 F g-1 at a current density of 1 A g-1 and a retention rate of 92 % at 10 A g-1, while the NiCo-LDH-rGO cathode material provided a Csp of 1850 F g-1 at 1 A g-1 and maintained 84 % at 10 A g-1. The effective combination of these electrodes for the NiCo-LDH-rGO//Fe2O3-rGO electrochemical capacitors resulted in an excellent energy density of 108 Wh/kg at a power density of 884 W/kg, with remarkable cycling stability (80 % after 1000 cycles at 10 A g-1). We believe that this work, including the proposed method and electrode materials, will advance the further development and commercialization of electrochemical capacitors.

Abstract
By only changing the ratio of Mo to S source, a distinctive single phase MoO2 or MoS2 and MoO2/MoS2 nanocomposites (NCs) are obtained through a simple one-step hydrothermal method based on CH4N2S as a sulfur source and (NH4)6Mo7O24·4H2O as a source of Mo in oxalic acid. The effect of ratio of Mo to S source on the composition, structure, and electrochemical performance are systematically researched. Due to its unique design, abundant macropores active sites in MoO2/MoS2 NCs induce superior rate property (55.30% capacitance retention to 20 from 1 A g-1) and larger specific capacitance (1667.3 F g-1 at 1 A g-1) and longer cycle life (94.75% after 5000 cycles) as used directly as an electrode. Furthermore, at a power density of 225 W kg-1, a maximal energy density of 21.85 Wh kg-1 is provided by the asymmetric supercapacitor (MoO2/MoS2//AC). The capacitance of asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) is remarkably enhanced by 129.02% under 5000 cycles at a current density of 1.5 A g-1, demonstrating outstanding cycle property. These results imply the prepared MoO2/MoS2 NCs have promising applications in advanced energy storages. It is important and should be noted that NCs of oxide and sulfide are prepared with only a simple one-step process.

Abstract
Structural instability is a major obstacle to realizing the high performance of a MnO2-based pseudocapacitor material. Understanding its structure transformation in the process of electrochemical reaction, therefore, plays an important role in the efficient enhancement of rate capacity and stability. Herein, a stable MnO2@rGO core-shell nanosphere is first synthesized by a liquid-liquid interface deposition further combined with the electrostatic self-assembly method. The structural transformation process of the MnO2@rGO electrode is monitored by ex situ Raman and X-ray diffraction spectroscopy during the charging-discharging process. It is found in the first discharging process that layered-MnO2 transforms into the spinel-Mn3O4 phase with K+ ion intercalation. From the second charging, the spinel-Mn3O4 phase is gradually adjusted to a more stable λ-MnO2 with a three-dimensional tunnel structure, finally realizing the reversible intercalation/deintercalation of K+ ions in the λ-MnO2 tunnel structure during subsequent cycling, which can be attributed to the presence of oxygen vacancies formed by the lengthening of the Mn-O bond and losing oxygen in the MnO6 octahedral unit with K+ ion intercalation/deintercalation. Meanwhile, the MnO2@rGO electrode demonstrates a high specific capacitance of 378 F g-1 at 1 A g-1 and excellent cycling stability with a capacitance retention of up to 89.5% after 10 000 cycles at 10 A g-1. Furthermore, the assembled symmetric micro-supercapacitor delivers a high areal energy density of 1.01 μWh cm-2, superior cycling stability with no significant capacity decay after 8700 cycles, and a capacity retention rate of almost 100% after 2000 bending cycles, showing great mechanical flexibility and practicability.

Abstract
Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) is a prime example of conducting polymers materials for supercapacitors electrodes that offer ease of processability and sophisticated chemical stability during operation and storage in aqueous environments. Yet, continuous improvement on its electrochemical capacitance and stability upon long cycles remains a major interest in the field, such as the developing PEDOT-based composites. This work evaluates the electrochemical performances of hydroxymethyl PEDOT (PEDOTOH) coupled with hydrogel additives, namely poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO), poly(acrylic acid) (PAA), and polyethyleneimine (PEI), fabricated via a single-step electrochemical polymerization method in an aqueous solution. The PEDOTOH/PEO composite exhibits the highest capacitance (195.2 F g-1) compared to pristine PEDOTOH (153.9 F g-1), PEDOTOH/PAA (129.9 F g-1), and PEDOTOH/PEI (142.3 F g-1) at a scan rate of 10 mV s-1. The PEDOTOH/PEO electrodes were then assembled into a symmetrical supercapacitor in an agarose gel. The type of supporting electrolytes and salt concentrations were further examined to identify the optimal agarose-based gel electrolyte. The supercapacitors comprising 2 M agarose-LiClO4 achieved a specific capacitance of 27.6 F g-1 at a current density of 2 A g-1, a capacitance retention of ~94% after 10,000 charge/discharge cycles at 10.6 A g-1, delivering a maximum energy and power densities of 11.2 Wh kg-1 and 3.45 kW kg-1, respectively. The performance of the proposed supercapacitor outperformed several reported PEDOT-based supercapacitors, including PEDOT/carbon fiber, PEDOT/CNT, and PEDOT/graphene composites. This study provides insights into the effect of incorporated hydrogel in the PEDOTOH network and the optimal conditions of agarose-based gel electrolytes for high-performance PEDOT-based supercapacitor devices.
