Abstract
Despite the preliminary success of transition metal-catalyzed [3+2] annulation of amides with olefins, the corresponding radical-type [3+2] annulation remains a laborious challenge. Herein we report the first photoredox-catalyzed radical-type [3+2] annulation of aromatic amides with olefins. We established an approach to generate unprecedented iminium radicals by reducing the oxyiminium intermediates, formed in situ from corresponding amides with Tf2O, via photoredox catalysis. The [3+2] annulation was achieved via stepwise radical process, instead of forming linear products via other pathways as previously reported. This annulation protocol exhibits excellent functional group tolerance, and a diversity of substrates are united under the photoredox conditions, affording iminium products that can be in situ diversified into 1-indanones, enamines and amines. Mechanistic investigations indicate reduction of the oxyiminium intermediate to the iminium radicals by excited-state of the photocatalyst initiates the catalytic cycle.

Abstract
We report on a visible light-mediated cascade carbamoylation/cyclization of acrylamides using dihydropyridyl carbamoyl donors derived from alkyl amines. Diversely selected acrylamides including 2-cyano-N-arylacrylamides, indolyl- and benzimidazolyl acrylamides, and 2-alkynyl-N-aryl acrylamides participate in this reaction, providing products in good yields. The highlights of this photochemical method include the application of alkyl amine-derived carbamoyl donors, peroxide-free reaction conditions, and a broad scope.

Abstract
An array of redox-neutral alkylation/cyclization cascade reactions of N-functionalized acrylamides with cycloalkyl hydroperoxides were achieved via the alkoxyl radical-triggered C-C bond cleavage. Through adjusting the radical acceptors on the N atom, a variety of keto-alkylated chain-containing azaheterocycles, including indolo[2,1-a]isoquinolin-6(5H)-ones, quinoline-2,4-diones, and pyrido[4,3,2-gh]phenanthridines were constructed by a one-pot procedure with good yields and excellent functional group tolerance.

Abstract
Radical reactions are powerful in creating carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bonds. Designing one-pot radical reactions with cascade transformations to assemble the cyclic skeletons with two new functional groups is both synthetically and operationally efficient. Summarized in this paper is the recent development of reactions involving radical addition and cyclization of dienes, diynes, enynes, as well as arene-bridged and arene-terminated compounds for the preparation of difunctionalization cyclic compounds. Reactions carried out with radical initiators, transition metal-catalysis, photoredox, and electrochemical conditions are included.

Abstract
Free radical carbochloromethylations of ortho-cyanoarylacrylamides and N-(arylsulfonyl)acrylamides have been developed by employing simple alkyl chlorides as the chloromethyl source. The transformations are characterized by wide functional group compatibility and utilizing readily available reagents, thus providing efficient methods for constructing polychloromethyl-substituted quinoline-2,4-diones and α-aryl-β-polychloromethylated amides.

Abstract
The visible-light-driven switchable phosphorylation of cyanoaromatics with the 1,6-enyne moiety for the diverse and selective synthesis of phosphorylated polyheterocycles, including phosphorylated aminophosphonates, iminophosphonates, and ketones, has been described. Importantly, these photocatalytic transformations feature good functional group tolerance and high regio- and chemoselectivities under mild reaction conditions. These findings might stimulate the exploration of new photocatalytic utilizations of P(O)-H compounds by employing CN-containing substrates as the radical acceptors.

Abstract
A novel radical [2 + 2 + 1] cyclization of ortho-cyanoarylacrylamides with dual α-C-H bonds in alkyl nitriles has been developed. The reaction provides new facile and straightforward access to cyano-substituted pyrrolo[3,2- c]quinolines, which are important nitrogen-containing polyheterocycles. A possible mechanism for the transformation is proposed.

Abstract
A novel visible-light-induced cascade reaction for the preparation of ester-functionalized polyheterocycles was developed under metal-free conditions, which was initiated by an intermolecular radical addition to a carbon-carbon double bond of N-arylacrylamide derivatives using alkyl carbazate as the ester source followed by cyano-mediated cyclization. The desired phenanthridine derivative products were isolated in moderate to high yields with broad substrate scope.

Abstract
A Ag-catalyzed phosphorus radical promoted cyclization of cinnamamides to give exclusively 2-phosphinoyl-3H-pyrrolo[1,2-a]indoles derivatives via a 5-endo-trig manner is described. This novel reaction leads to the simultaneous formation of C-C and C-P bonds in one step with excellent chemo- (only 5-endo) and diastereoselectivity (dr >20:1) under mild conditions in moderate to good yields.
