Abstract
A d10-Cd cluster containing sandwich-type arsenotungstate [C3H12N2]6[Cd4Cl2(B-α-AsW9O34)2] was synthesized and its structure characterized through elemental analyses, X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), IR spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The X-ray analysis revealed that the molecular unit of the compound consists of a captivating tetra-Cd-substituted sandwich-type polyoxoanion, accompanied by six elegantly protonated 1,2-diaminopropane as counter ions. The further novelty of the tetranuclear cadmium cluster lies in its occupied chlorine atom sites. This makes it highly susceptible to coordinate reactions with nitrogen on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, thereby exhibiting different fluorescent signals that facilitate the identification and detection of these carcinogenic substances in methanol.

Abstract
Oxidative degradation by using reactive oxygen species (ROS) is an effective method to treat pollutants. The synthesis of artificial oxidase for the degradation of dyes is a hot spot in molecular science. In this study, a nanoscale sandwich-type polyoxometalate (POM) on the basis of a tetra-nuclear cobalt cluster and trivacant B-α-Keggin-type tungstoarsenate {[Co(C8H20N4)]4}{Co4(H2O)2[HAsW9O34]2}∙4H2O (abbreviated as CAW, C8H20N4 = cyclen) has been synthesized and structurally examined by infrared (IR) spectrum, ultraviolet–visible (UV–Vis) spectrum, X-ray photoelectron spectrum (XPS), single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SXRD), and bond valence sum (Σs) calculation. According to the structural analysis, the principal element of the CAW is derived from modifying sandwich-type polyanion {Co4(H2O)2 [HAsW9O34]2}8– with four [Co(Cyclen)]2+, in which 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane (cyclen) is firstly applied to modify POM. It is also demonstrated that CAW is capable of efficiently catalyzing the production of ROS by the synergistic effects of POM fragments and Co–cyclen complexes. Moreover, CAW can interfere with the morphology and proliferation of sensitive cells by producing ROS and exhibits ability in specifically eliminating methylene blue (MB) dyes from the solution system by both adsorption and catalytic oxidation.

Abstract
Reactive oxygen species (ROS) can be used as an effective method to treat tumors. Artificial oxidase has received increasing attention as a catalyst for ROS generation in fields ranging from bioinorganic chemistry to pharmaceutical chemistry. In this study, an artificial oxidase based on a binuclear zinc complex and Keggin-type silicotungstate [Zn2(4,4′-bpy)(Phen)2][SiW12O40] (ZSW) (4,4′-bpy = 4,4′-bipyridine; Phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) was synthesized and structurally featured in terms of its X-ray photoelectron spectrum (XPS), bond valence sum (Σs) calculation, IR spectra, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SXRD). ZSW is an ionic compound in which the cation is a binuclear zinc complex [Zn2(4,4′-bpy)(Phen)2]4+ and the anion is a α-Keggin-type silicotungstate [SiW12O40]4– cluster. Notably, the Zn ions in the [Zn2(4,4′-bpy)(Phen)2] exist in tri-coordination, which was first obtained in polyoxometalate (POM) chemistry. It was also demonstrated that ZSW is capable of efficiently catalyzing the production of ROS, which, according to the computational calculations, may be due to the synergistic action of zinc complexes and POM building blocks. Furthermore, ZSW exhibited inhibition ability toward ROS-sensitive tumor cells, such as PC12 cells.

Abstract
We present a facile route towards a dual single-atom nanozyme composed of Zn and Mo, which utilizes the non-covalent nano-assembly of polyoxometalates, supramolecular coordination complexes as the metal-atom precursor, and a macroscopic amphiphilic aerogel as the supporting substrate. The dual single-atoms of Zn and Mo have a high content (1.5 and 7.3 wt%, respectively) and exhibit a synergistic effect and a peroxidase-like activity. The Zn/Mo site was identified as the main active center by X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy and density functional theory calculation. The detection of versatile analytes, including intracellular H2 O2 , glucose in serum, cholesterol, and ascorbic acid in commercial beverages was achieved. The nanozyme has an outstanding stability and maintained its performance after one year's storage. This study develops a new peroxidase-like nanozyme and provides a robust synthetic strategy for single-atom catalysts by utilizing an aerogel as a facile substrate that is capable of stabilizing various metal atoms.

Abstract
In this work, by using two kinds of viologen ligands three POM-based Compounds were obtained under hydrothermal conditions, namely [AgI (bmypd)0.5 (β-Mo8 O26 )0.5 ] (1) (bmypd ⋅ 2Cl=1,1'-[Biphenyl-4,4'-bis(methylene)]bis(4,4'-bipyridyinium)dichloride), [AgI 2 (bypy)4 (HSiW12 O40 )2 ] ⋅ 14H2 O (2) and [AgI (bypy)(γ-Mo8 O26 )0.5 ] (3) (bypy⋅Cl=1-Benzyl-4,4'-bipyridyinium chloride). The structures were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds 1-3 show excellent photochromic ability with fast photoresponse under the irradiation of ultraviolet light with different degrees of color changes. So compounds 1-3 can be used as visible ultraviolet detectors. Compounds 1-3 also possess photoluminescence properties with fast and excellent fluorescence quenching effect. Compounds 1-3 also can be used as inkless and erasable printing materials with suspensions of 1-3 applied to filter paper. Compounds 1-3 can also produce color changes in amine vapor environment, especially in an NH3 atmosphere. Compounds 1-3 can be used as organic amine detectors.

Abstract
Aggregation-induced emission (AIE) compounds display a photophysical phenomenon in which the aggregate state exhibits stronger emission than the isolated units. The common term of "AIEgens" was coined to describe compounds undergoing the AIE effect. Due to the recent interest in AIEgens, the search for novel hybrid organic-inorganic compounds with unique luminescence properties in the aggregate phase is a relevant goal. In this perspective, the abundant, inexpensive, and nontoxic d10 zinc cation offers unique opportunities for building AIE active fluorophores, sensing probes, and bioimaging tools. Considering the novelty of the topic, relevant examples collected in the last 5 years (2016-2021) through scientific production can be considered fully representative of the state-of-the-art. Starting from the simple phenomenological approach and considering different typological and chemical units and structures, we focused on zinc-based AIEgens offering synthetic novelty, research completeness, and relevant applications. Abstract
Five new polyoxometalate (POM)-based metal-organic complexes (MOCs) with different rigid pyridyl-bis(triazole) ligands, namely, H{Co2(Hpyttz-I)2(H2O)6[CrMo6(OH)6O18]}·8H2O (1), {Co2(H2pyttz-I)2(H2O)4[TeMo6O24]}[Co(H2O)6]·3H2O (2), {Co3(Hpyttz-II)2(H2O)6[γ-Mo8O26]}·10H2O (3), {Ni3(Hpyttz-II)2(H2O)6[γ-Mo8O26]}·10H2O (4), {Ni3(Hpyttz-III)2(H2O)8[γ-Mo8O26]}·10H2O (5) (H2pyttz-I = 3-(pyrid-2-yl)-5-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)-1,2,4-triazolyl, H2pyttz-II = 3-(pyrid-3-yl)-5-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)-1,2,4-triazolyl, H2pyttz -III = 3-(pyrid-4-yl)-5-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)-1,2,4-triazolyl), were successfully synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectra, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and thermogravimetric analyses (TGA). Complex 1 is a two-dimensional (2D) supramolecular network based on the binuclear complex unit: [Co2(Hpyttz-I)2(H2O)6 [CrMo6(OH)6O18]]. Complex 2 is a 1D supramolecular chain derived from the binuclear cobalt complex: {Co2(H2pyttz-I)2(H2O)4[TeMo6O24]}2-, the discrete [Co(H2O)6]2+ units act as counter cations. Complexes 3 and 4 are isostructural with different center metals (M = Co or Ni), the adjacent γ-Mo8O26 4- anions are linked by the MII ions to form a 1D M-γ-Mo8O26 inorganic chain. Then 1D M-γ-Mo8O26 inorganic chains are linked together by the 1D metal-organic M-(Hpyttz-II) chains to form a 3D framework. In complex 5, γ-Mo8O26 4- anions are bridged by the NiII ions to give a 1D Ni-γ-Mo8O26 inorganic chain, the adjacent 1D Ni-γ-Mo8O26 chains are connected through [Ni(Hpyttz-III)2] units to form a 2D layer. The effect of POM type and coordination site of the ligands on the structures of the title complexes were discussed. The title complexes 1, 2 and 5 exhibit excellent bifunctional electrocatalytic activities toward the reduction of bromate/hydrogen peroxide and the oxidation of ascorbic acid. In addition, the redox potentials of complexes 1, 2 and 5 are highly sensitive to pH and may be used as a kind of potential pH sensor.
