Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the paths between lifelong physical activity levels and the development of cardiometabolic disease. METHODS The ATTICA is a population-based cohort study with a 20-year follow-up conducted in the Attica region, Greece and included, 3042 adult males and females (45 [11] y). Participants physical activity levels' tracking together with data regarding cardiovascular disease, obesity, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, and diabetes incidence, were available in 1988 participants (45 [12] y old, 987 males and 1001 females), at 20-year follow-up. Physical activity levels were evaluated using the validated International Physical Activity Questionnaire, in all examinations (2001-2002, 2006, 2012, and 2022). Four physical activity trajectories were defined, that is, consistently active/inactive and changed from active/inactive. Path analysis was applied using structure equation models. RESULTS 54% of participants were classified as always inactive, 5% classified as became inactive from physically active, 38% as became active and, only 3% sustained physical activity levels. Participants who reported being consistently physically active throughout the 20-year period were 6% (OR, 0.94, 95% CI, 0.89-0.99) less likely to develop cardiovascular disease as compared with those who remained consistently physically inactive, had 21% lower risk of developing hypercholesterolemia (OR, 0.79, 95% CI, 0.59-1.04), 33% lower risk of obesity (OR, 0.67, 95% CI, 0.44-1.02), and 30% lower risk of diabetes (OR, 0.70, 95% CI, 0.48-1.03). CONCLUSIONS Lifelong physical activity was strongly associated with reduced fatal or nonfatal cardiovascular disease events, as well as reduced risk of developing other cardiometabolic disorders, hypercholesterolemia, obesity, and diabetes.

Abstract
Introduction This study examined the effects of 8-week interventions based on two variants of typical exercises, namely, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and high-intensity plyometric training (HIPT), on body fat (BF%), blood pressure, and cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF). In addition, the sustainability of the effects after another 8 weeks was assessed. Methods The project was designed as a randomized controlled trial with eight groups of participants (two variants, two sexes, and two groups (experimental and control)) and was conducted in a school physical education (PE) program. The outcomes analyzed were the BF%, systolic (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), and CRF expressed in terms of maximum oxygen uptake (VO2max). A total of 307 healthy adolescents participated in this study and were randomly assigned into the two groups. During the 8 weeks, the participants completed two exercise sessions each week with progressively increasing volumes. For the first 2 weeks, the sessions involved four rounds of 20 s of intense effort followed by 10 s of rest; this increased to six rounds during weeks 3-4 and eight rounds during weeks 5-8. The HIPT program was based on plyometric exercises, whereas the HIIT was based on bodyweight resistance exercises. Results Multidimensional analysis of variance (ANOVA) indicated a statistically significant second-order interaction (time × variant × group: Ʌ = 0.943, F = 2.20, p < 0.027, η2 pG = 0.057, d = 0.25), confirming the changes in the BF%, SBP, DBP, and VO2max dependent on the type of intervention and group assignment. The ANOVA results revealed significant main and interaction effects for BF%, SBP, and DBP, with time and the HIIT variant as the main contributors (BF%: F = 3.911, p = 0.023, η2 pG = 0.001, d = 0.04 vs. F = 9.900, p < 0.001, η2 pG = 0.001, d = 0.03; SBP: F = 31.801, p < 0.001, η2 pG = 0.012, d = 0.16 vs. F = 8.939, p = 0.003, η 2 pG = 0.026, d = 0.16; DBP: F = 3.470, p = 0.033, η2 pG = 0.002, d = 0.06 vs. F = 4.982, p = 0.026, η2 pG = 0.014, d = 0.12). The second-order interaction for VO2max (time × sex × group: F = 6.960, p = 0.001, η2 pG = 0.003, d = 0.05) indicated that the improvements over time were not related to the training variant. Although these effects were small (low eta values), post hoc tests (all comparisons in post-intervention, p > 0.05) showed that both the HIIT and HIPT groups exhibited beneficial changes compared to controls; however, no statistically significant differences were observed between the experimental and control groups. Furthermore, the observed improvements were maintained through the 8-week follow-up period, as demonstrated by no significant changes between the post-intervention and follow-up measurements (p > 0.05). Discriminant analysis showed that BF% and SBP were the key variables for the two exercise variants in men, with HIPT yielding greater reductions in SBP and HIIT resulting in more pronounced decreases in BF%. Discussion In conclusion, both HIIT and HIPT interventions effectively improved health-related parameters, providing valuable enrichment to the PE lessons in schools. These benefits were also sustained for at least 8 weeks post-intervention.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study investigates the relationship between movement behaviors and physical fitness (PF) in university students, and based on the top 5% of model-predicted outcomes for PF to determine the optimal movement behaviors balance. METHODS A total of 463 university students aged 15-24 years from Jinhua City wore accelerometers to measure moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA), light-intensity physical activity (LPA), and sedentary behavior (SB). Sleep (SLP) was self-reported. The body mass index (BMI), forced vital capacity (FVC), 50-meter dash, standing long jump, sit-and-reach, sit-ups (female), pull-ups (male), 800-meter run (female), and 1000-meter run (male) were used as indicators to assess the physical fitness of university students. Regression analysis was used to examine the relationship between movement behaviors and PF. All possible movement component combinations were investigated to determine the best correlation (top 5%) with each outcome. RESULTS For males, SB (β = 5.05, p < 0.05) was significantly correlated with an increase in BMI. MVPA was significantly correlated with improvements in BMI (β = -1.75, p < 0.05), FVC (β = 494.21, p < 0.05), and endurance qualities (β = -25.77, p < 0.05). For females, MVPA was significantly correlated with improvements in BMI (β = -1.03, p < 0.05), FVC (β = 176.05, p < 0.05), speed capability (β = -0.26, p < 0.05), and endurance qualities (β = -16.38, p < 0.05). LPA was associated with improvements in endurance qualities (β = -24.10, p < 0.05). SB was significantly correlated with a decline in endurance qualities (β = 24.25, p < 0.05). The average (range) optimal combination of time use was as follows: For males, MVPA = 142 min/day, SB = 534 min/day, LPA = 295 min/day, and SLP = 469 min/day. For females, MVPA = 115 min/day, SB = 536 min/day, LPA = 306 min/day, and SLP = 482 min/day. CONCLUSION For both males and females, increased MVPA and reduced sedentary time were associated with improved endurance and strength, while optimal sleep duration contributed to overall fitness. These findings highlight the importance of a balanced daily movement schedule for university students.

Abstract
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES Individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are at increased risk of developing cardiometabolic diseases. Although physical exercise (PE) has emerged in the literature as an important modulator for reducing such risk, evidence remains unclear. This systematic review aimed to investigate the effects of PE on cardiometabolic health in individuals with ASD. METHODS A systematic review was carried out according to the PRISMA guidelines, from their inception until 18 July 2023, in the following electronic databases: Scopus, Medline, and Web of Science. Studies were included if they focused on ASD patients undergoing physical exercise, assessing cardiometabolic risk, exercise tolerance, and QoL. The following were excluded: non-exercise interventions, additional therapies, non-English studies, and reviews. The methodological quality of the included studies was assessed through the Downs and Black scale. RESULTS A total of four studies (149 participants) were included in this review, with the average methodological quality being rated as "fair". Interventions had mixed effects on cardiometabolic health. The BMI (↓2.8 kg/m2), waist circumference (↓1.86 cm), and lipid profiles improved in some cases. VO2max and HRbaseline showed moderate gains. Secondary outcomes included enhanced endurance, strength, and calorie expenditure, especially in mild ASD. Autistic traits and quality of life improved post-intervention, with better results in the experimental groups. CONCLUSIONS This review indicates that aerobic and functional training improves cardiometabolic health, autistic traits, and QoL in individuals with ASD, particularly in mild cases. Further research is needed to explore the impact of ASD severity on these outcomes.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Many studies have shown a strong link between sarcopenia and depression, and low muscle mass (LMM) is an important component in the diagnosis of sarcopenia; however, there have been no studies on the relationship between LMM and depressive symptoms in the Chinese elderly population. To estimate the potential relationship between LMM and depressive symptoms among older adults, a cross-sectional analysis was conducted utilizing data from the Chinese Longitudinal Health Longevity Survey (CLHLS). METHOD The study sample comprised 11,711 individuals aged 65 years or older (mean age 83.0 ± 10.9) from the CLHLS database in 2018. We used the corrected appendicular skeletal muscle mass (ASM) prediction formula to assess muscle mass and the 10-item Center for Epidemiological Studies-Depression Scale (CES-D-10) to assess depressive symptoms. A multivariate logistic regression model and restricted cubic spline (RCS) curves were employed to investigate the association between LMM and depressive symptoms. RESULTS The study findings revealed a 1.16-fold higher risk of depressive symptoms in the LMM group compared to the control group (adjusted odds ratio [aOR]: 1.16, 95% confidence intervals [95% CI]: 1.05-1.29, p < 0.001). Furthermore, for every one-point decrease in LMM score below 7.87, the risk of depressive symptoms increased by 8%, with statistical significance. However, when the LMM score was greater than or equal to 7.87, the decrease in the LMM score did not significantly increase the risk of depressive symptoms. CONCLUSION Our study suggests LMM is a risk factor for depressive symptoms in the elderly Chinese population, and within a certain range, the risk of depressive symptoms increases as the LMM score decreases. Physical exercise may be an effective strategy to maintain optimal muscle mass and help the mental health of the elderly.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Few studies have explored the association between DNA methylation and physical activity. The aim of this study was to evaluate the association of objectively measured hours of sedentary behavior (SB) and moderate physical activity (MPA) with DNA methylation. We further aimed to explore the association between SB or MPA related CpG sites and cardiometabolic traits, gene expression, and genetic variation. RESULTS For discovery, we performed cross sectional analyses in pregnant women from the Epigenetics in pregnancy (EPIPREG) sample with both DNA methylation (Illumina MethylationEPIC BeadChip) and objectively measured physical activity data (SenseWear™ Pro 3 armband) (European = 244, South Asian = 109). For EWAS of SB and MPA, two main models were designed: model (1) a linear mixed model adjusted for age, smoking, blood cell composition, including ancestry as random intercept, and model (2) which was additionally adjusted for the total number of steps per day. In model 1, we did not identify any CpG sites associated with neither SB nor MPA. In model 2, SB was positively associated (false discovery rate, FDR < 0.05) with two CpG sites within the VSX1 gene. Both CpG sites were positively associated with BMI and were associated with several genetic variants in cis. MPA was associated with 122 significant CpG sites at FDR < 0.05 (model 2). We further analyzed the ten most statistically significant MPA related CpG sites and found that they presented opposite associations with sedentary behavior and BMI. We were not able to replicate the SB and MPA-related CpG sites in the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC). ALSPAC had available objectively measured physical activity data from Actigraph (without steps/day available) and leucocyte DNA methylation data collected during adolescence (n = 408, European). CONCLUSION This study suggests associations of objectively measured SB and MPA with maternal DNA methylation in peripheral blood leukocytes, that needs to be confirmed in larger samples of similar study design.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Cardiometabolic risk factors significantly contribute to disease burden. This study explored the effects of hypertension (HTN), diabetes mellitus (DM), and hyperlipidemia (HLP) on mortality. It stratified findings by age group and comorbidity severity using the Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) score. Additionally, it assessed the compounded effects of comorbid conditions to estimate life expectancy (LE) and years of life lost (YLL) in individuals with various cardiometabolic risk factor combinations. METHODS Using data from the MJ Health Check-up Database (2002-2017), linked with the National Health Insurance Research Database (2000-2017) and the Death Registry (2002-2019), this study employed Cox proportional hazards models to determine mortality risk associated with various cardiometabolic risk factors. Adjusted Kaplan-Meier curves were constructed to evaluate survival rates across different risk factors and CCI scores. Survival rates were extrapolated to estimate confounder-adjusted LE and YLL for age-comorbidity combinations. RESULTS Among the three age groups (20-39, 40-59, 60-79), HLP was the most common single risk factor, followed by HTN. In participants with dual risk factors, HTN and HLP were the most frequent pair, with diabetes and HLP second. An increased number of cardiometabolic risk factors elevated mortality risk, particularly in the 20-39 age group. LE, adjusted for confounders, declined with age, higher CCI scores, and more risk factors. YLL decreased with age but increased with higher CCI scores and more risk factors. CONCLUSIONS Promoting health awareness, early disease detection, and timely medical access can reduce cardiometabolic risk factors and associated comorbidities, thereby alleviating disease burden.

Abstract
Limited data exist regarding the impact of exercise intensity on irisin release and its association with insulin sensitivity in individuals of differing obesity status. The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of exercise intensity on the acute release of irisin in healthy-weight individuals and individuals with obesity, and whether irisin release during acute exercise was associated with greater insulin sensitivity across obesity status. A randomized controlled crossover study was conducted on 26 non-overweight/obese (non-OW/OB) (BMI: 22.2 ± 1.5 kg/m2) and 26 overweight/obese (OW/OB) (BMI: 33.9 ± 6.5 kg/m2) adults who performed an acute bout of moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT), high-intensity interval training (HIIT), and rest. Irisin was quantified via ELISA and western blotting, and insulin sensitivity (Si) was estimated using the Matsuda index. OW/OB displayed a significantly lower level of circulating irisin and protein expression compared to non-OW/OB (p < 0.01). Insulin sensitivity was positively correlated with irisin release during MICT and HIIT in non-OW/OB (all p < 0.05), but not in OW/OB. Regarding irisin expression, non-OW/OB with high Si had a 2.03-fold (p < 0.05) increase during HIIT, while OW/OB with high Si had only a 1.54-fold increase (p < 0.05). These results suggest that irisin is released differently according to obesity status and varying exercise intensities. OW/OB individuals have a blunted irisin response to acute exercise and lower baseline irisin concentrations compared to non-OW/OB individuals. Although exercise stimulates irisin release in non-OW/OB individuals, only a greater exercise intensity stimulates irisin release in OW/OB individuals. These findings are clinically relevant, as irisin is associated with greater insulin sensitivity. This trial was registered at clinicaltrials.gov (NCT03514238).

Abstract
(1) Background: Although daily time-use is associated with diet quality and cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) in children, their interdependence remains unexplored. This study first examined the associations between reallocating daily movement time and diet quality and CRF, and second the mediating role of diet quality in the relationship between daily time-use and CRF. (2) Methods: This study included 1131 Chinese children (aged 8 to 10 years; median [interquartile range]: 8.5 [8.3, 8.8]) at baseline (September 2022) and 1268 children at the 9-month follow-up (June 2023) from the OptiChild study. Daily durations of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA), sleep, and sedentary behavior (e.g., screen time) were self-reported or proxy-reported by parents. Diet quality was assessed via the Diet Quality Questionnaire (DQQ), which uses a 24 h dietary recall and is categorized according to the Global Dietary Recommendations (GDR) score and Food Group Diversity Score (FGDS). The CRF was measured using VO2max after the 20 m shuttle run test. Longitudinal associations between daily time-use, diet quality, and CRF were calculated using isotemporal substitution models. Mediation analyses were used to determine whether diet quality mediated the associations between daily time-use and CRF. (3) Results: Reallocation of 30 min from screen time to MVPA resulted in significant improvements in the GDR score (β baseline = 0.11, p = 0.024; β follow-up = 0.26, p < 0.001), FGDS (β baseline = 0.11, p = 0.006; β follow-up = 0.19, p < 0.001), and CRF (β baseline = 0.40, p < 0.001; β follow-up = 0.26, p = 0.001). Diet quality partially mediated the associations between MVPA, screen time, and CRF. Substituting 30 min of screen time for MVPA led to diet quality mediating a proportion of the association with CRF (GDR score: 11.4%, FGDS: 6.6%). (4) Conclusions: These findings underscore the importance of optimizing daily time-use of MVPA and screen time and improving diet quality to promote physical fitness in school-aged children.

Abstract
The significance of physical activity in sports is self-evident. However, its importance is becoming increasingly apparent in the context of public health. The constant desire to improve health and performance suggests looking at genetic predispositions. The knowledge of genes related to physical performance can be utilized initially in the training of athletes to assign them to the appropriate sport. In the field of medicine, this knowledge may be more effectively utilized in the prevention and treatment of cardiometabolic diseases. Physical exertion engages the entire organism, and at a basic physiological level, the organism's responses are primarily related to oxidant and antioxidant reactions due to intensified cellular respiration. Therefore, the modifications involve the body adjusting to the stresses, especially oxidative stress. The consequence of regular exercise is primarily an increase in antioxidant capacity. Among the genes considered, those that promote oxidative processes dominate, as they are associated with energy production during exercise. What is missing, however, is a look at the other side of the coin, which, in this case, is antioxidant processes and the genes associated with them. It has been demonstrated that antioxidant genes associated with increased physical performance do not always result in increased antioxidant capacity. Nevertheless, it seems that maintaining the oxidant-antioxidant balance is the most important thing in this regard.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Adenosine triphosphatase inhibitory factor 1 (IF1) is a key protein involved in energy metabolism. IF1 has been linked to various age-related diseases, although its relationship with physical activity (PA) remains unclear. Additionally, the apolipoprotein A-I (apoA-I), a PA-modulated lipoprotein, could play a role in this relationship because it shares a binding site with IF1 on the cell-surface ATP synthase. We examined here the associations between chronic PA and plasma IF1 concentrations among older adults, and we investigated whether apoA-I mediated these associations. METHODS In the present work, 1096 healthy adults (63.8% females) aged 70 years and over who were involved in the Multidomain Alzheimer Prevention Trial study were included. IF1 plasma concentrations (square root of ng/mL) were measured at the 1-year visit of the Multidomain Alzheimer Prevention Trial, while PA levels (square root of metabolic equivalent task min/week) were assessed using questionnaires administered each year from baseline to the 3-year visit. Multiple linear regressions were performed to investigate the associations between the first-year mean PA levels and IF1 concentrations. Mediation analyses were conducted to examine whether apoA-I mediated these associations. Mixed-effect linear regressions were carried out to investigate whether the 1-year visit IF1 concentrations predicted subsequent changes in PA. RESULTS Multiple linear regressions indicated that first-year mean PA levels were positively associated with IF1 concentrations (B = 0.021; SE = 0.010; p = 0.043). Mediation analyses revealed that about 37.7% of this relationship was mediated by apoA-I (Bab = 0.008; SE = 0.004; p = 0.023). Longitudinal investigations demonstrated that higher concentrations of IF1 at the 1-year visit predicted a faster decline in PA levels over the subsequent 2 years (time × IF1: B = -0.148; SE = 0.066; p = 0.025). CONCLUSION This study demonstrates that regular PA is associated with plasma IF1 concentrations, and it suggests that apoA-I partly mediates this association. Additionally, this study finds that baseline concentrations of IF1 can predict future changes in PA. However, further research is needed to fully understand the mechanisms underlying these observations.

Abstract
Background Sleep is important for health, but its relationship to cardiometabolic health in women of childbearing age remains unclear. Furthermore, stress, unmet basic needs, and lack of physical activity may be related to disrupted sleep and poor cardiometabolic health in women of childbearing age and these relationships may differ by ethnicity. The purposes of this study were to investigate the relationship between sleep, markers of cardiometabolic health, stress, unmet basic needs, and physical activity in women of childbearing age with overweight or obesity and identify if these relationships differed between women that identified as Latino/Hispanic and non-Latino/Hispanic ethnicity. Methods A secondary cross-sectional analysis was conducted using baseline data from a trial that embeds healthy eating and activity into a national home visiting program, Parents as Teachers. The sample was stratified based on self-reported ethnicity (Hispanic/Latino or non-Hispanic/Latino). Pearson's and Spearman's correlations were used to determine bivariate relationships among sleep, cardiometabolic variables, stress, unmet basic needs, and physical activity. Results Two hundred seventy-six women, 46% of whom identified as Hispanic/Latino, were included in the analysis. Body mass index (BMI) was significantly correlated with sleep disturbance (ρ = 0.23, p = 0.01) in women who identify as Hispanic/Latino. Stress was positively related to sleep disturbance, sleep duration, and unmet needs for both groups of women. BMI was correlated with unmet basic needs in women who identified as non-Hispanic/Latino (ρ = 0.25, p = 0.01). Conclusions Our results suggest that sleep, stress, and basic needs are important in understanding cardiometabolic health in women of childbearing age and these relationships differ depending on ethnicity. Abstract
Patients affected by COVID-19 are prone to facing disorders in multiple systems and organs, which can lead to deleterious diseases; in addition, people with pre-existing diseases may be more prone to the worst outcomes, and the most vulnerable are patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus. The aim of this systematic review was to evaluate the effects of physical activity and/or physical exercise prescribed to individuals with diabetes on the maintenance of plasma glucose and glycated hemoglobin during the COVID-19 pandemic. Studies were found by searching PubMed, SCOPUS, Embase, Web of Science, SciELO, LILACS, SportDiscus, Bireme/BVS and Google Scholar databases. The inclusion criteria were articles that addressed only patients with type 1 or type 2 diabetes (T1D and T2D) who had evaluated the level of physical activity or physical exercise and described the effects on plasma glucose and/or glycated hemoglobin in cross-sectional, retrospective, and observational studies, meeting the main criteria established by GRADE. The PICO and GRADE strategies were used to select and assess the methodological quality of studies. Two reviewers searched and selected the articles in databases independently and blindly, during which oppositions and disagreements about the inclusion of articles were discussed and resolved by a third reviewer. Evidence corroborates that levels of physical activity were reduced due to the lockdown, leading to increased body weight and worse glycemic control. On the other hand, individuals with diabetes mellitus (DM) (T1D and T2D) who maintained and/or increased levels of physical activity or physical exercise showed reduced plasma glucose and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels. Adequate levels of physical exercise and physical activity are beneficial for glucose and HbA1c control in diabetic patients (type 1 or type 2). In addition, maintaining adequate levels of physical activity can contribute to reducing health problems when these patients are infected with COVID-19.

Abstract
Many transgender (trans) individuals utilize gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) to promote changes in secondary sex characteristics to affirm their gender. Participation rates of trans people in sport are exceedingly low, yet given high rates of depression and increased cardiovascular risk, the potential benefits of sports participation are great. In this review, we provide an overview of the evidence surrounding the effects of GAHT on multiple performance-related phenotypes, as well as current limitations. Whilst data is clear that there are differences between males and females, there is a lack of quality evidence assessing the impact of GAHT on athletic performance. Twelve months of GAHT leads to testosterone concentrations that align with reference ranges of the affirmed gender. Feminizing GAHT in trans women increases fat mass and decreases lean mass, with opposite effects observed in trans men with masculinizing GAHT. In trans men, an increase in muscle strength and athletic performance is observed. In trans women, muscle strength is shown to decrease or not change following 12 months of GAHT. Haemoglobin, a measure of oxygen transport, changes to that of the affirmed gender within 6 months of GAHT, with very limited data to suggest possible reductions in maximal oxygen uptake as a result of feminizing GAHT. Current limitations of this field include a lack of long-term studies, adequate group comparisons and adjustment for confounding factors (e.g. height and lean body mass), and small sample sizes. There also remains limited data on endurance, cardiac or respiratory function, with further longitudinal studies on GAHT needed to address current limitations and provide more robust data to inform inclusive and fair sporting programmes, policies and guidelines.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Prolonged sedentary life existence is associated with increased incidence of cardiovascular disease (CVD), coronary heart disease (CHD), obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), hypertension, heart failure (HF), and all-cause mortality. On the contrary, regular exercise is known from antiquity to be associated with beneficial cardiovascular (CV) effects and decreased mortality. AREAS COVERED The cardiovascular (CV) benefits of exercise have been confirmed by many studies, but the trajectories of the different modes of PA are not well recognized. In order to examine the different modalities of exercise and its long-term trajectories, a Medline search of the English literature was conducted between 2015 and 2022 and 60 pertinent papers were selected for review. EXPERT OPINION Careful review of the selected papers showed that the beneficial CV effects of PA are mediated through several favorable modifications of molecular and clinical factors. Also, any type of physical activity in conjunction with lifestyle adjustments is associated with decreased incidence of CVD, CHD, obesity, T2DM, hypertension, HF, and all-cause mortality. In addition, the long-term trajectories regarding the duration and the level of exercise are associated with greater beneficial CV effects, with even the resumption of discontinued exercise can lead to beneficial CV effects.
