Abstract
The relationship between interleukin (IL)-10 and IL-6 gene polymorphisms and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) has been demonstrated but with inconsistent conclusions. The aim of this study was to evaluate the potential associations of IL gene polymorphisms and the SCC risk. PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, China Biomedical Database, WanFang, and China Science and Technology Journal Database databases were searched for articles reporting the correlations of IL-10 and IL-6 gene polymorphisms with the SCC risk. Odds ratio and 95% confidence interval were calculated using Stata Version 11.2. Meta-regression, sensitivity, and publication bias were analyzed. False-positive reporting probability and Bayesian measure of the false-discovery probability were used to explore the credibility of the calculation. Twenty-three articles were included. The IL-10 rs1800872 polymorphism showed a significant correlation with the SCC risk in the overall analysis. Studies pooled by ethnicity revealed that the IL-10 rs1800872 polymorphism reduced the SCC risk in the Caucasian population. The results of this study suggest that the IL-10 rs1800872 polymorphism may confer a genetic susceptibility to SCC, particularly oral SCC, in Caucasians. However, the IL-10 rs1800896 or IL-6 rs1800795 polymorphism was not significantly associated with the SCC risk.

Abstract
A literature review showed some discrepancies regarding the association of -592C/A with the risk of cervical cancer. To allow more precise analysis of the data by increasing the number of cases studied and more acceptable generalization by considering results from different sources, the present meta-analysis was performed on available published studies that explored the relationship between SNP-592C/A of the IL-10 gene and the risk of cervical cancer. Eleven available studies, including 4187 cases and 3311 controls, were included in this study investigating the relationship between the -592C/A polymorphism of IL-10 and cervical cancer risk. Fixed-effects or random-effects models were performed with pooled odds ratios (ORs). Heterogeneity and bias tests were performed by the inconsistency test and funnel plot, respectively. The overall analysis showed an increased susceptibility to cervical cancer with the -592C/A polymorphism of the IL-10 gene for the recessive model (OR = 1.30, 95% CI = 1.14-1.49), dominant model (OR = 1.36, 95% CI = 1.09-1.70), and additive model (OR = 1.25, 95% CI = 1.09-1.44). Regarding ethnicity, a significant association of the -592C/A polymorphism of the IL-10 gene was linked to an elevated risk of cervical cancer for all genetic models (recessive, dominant, and additive) in the Asian populations and for the recessive and additive models in Caucasians with P < 0.05. The -592C/A polymorphism of the IL-10 gene may be considered a risk factor for cervical cancer.

Abstract
Objectives
Cervical cancer (CC) is one of the most destructive disease caused by persistent HPV infection which affects women worldwide, especially in developing countries. The genetic basis of host immune response especially cytokine function has been shown to influence CC susceptibility. Studies have demonstrated that IL-10 gene polymorphism have been associated with numerous malignancies, but in context to CC results were inconclusive. Though, aim of our study to investigate the association between IL-10 -1082A/G and -819C/T promoter polymorphism and CC susceptibility.
Material and Methods
This study comprised 192 women with CC and 200 controls. HPV detection was done by RT-PCR and genotyping was assessed through PCR-RFLP method. Serum concentration of IL-10 measured by ELISA.
Results
Women with AG and AG+GG genotypes of IL-10 -1082A/G had two-fold increased risk of CC [OR, 2.35 (95% CI, 1.54–3.58),
p
= 0.005], [OR, 2.03 (95% CI, 1.36–3.04),
p
= 0.0005] compared to controls. Women with G allele of -1082A/G polymorphism had linked with CC susceptibility [OR, 1.39 (95% CI, 1.02–1.88),
p
= 0.036] compared to controls. No significant difference was found between patients and controls in the genotype or allele frequencies of IL–10 -819C/T polymorphism [OR, 1.00 (95% CI, 0.63–1.58),
p
= 0.99]. The level of serum concentration of IL-10 was significantly higher in cases compared to controls.
Conclusion
These findings help to understand that polymorphism of IL-10 -1082A/G gene is associated with increased risk of CC development and can serve as a marker of genetic susceptibility to CC.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In recent years, several reports have tried to prove this connection between rs1800872 polymorphism in interleukin-10 and cervical cancer among different populations, but the results are debatable. Thus, we collected all the published literature and conducted an integrated meta-analysis, which provided better evidence-based medicine for the relationship between rs1800872 polymorphism in interleukin-10 and risk of cervical cancer. METHODS We systematically performed our search on PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, WanFang database, and CNKI for all papers related to this research, published up to August 1, 2020. Summary odds ratios (OR) with 95% confidence interval (95% CI) were calculated in allelic, homozygous, heterozygous, dominant, and recessive model to appraise the association. RESULTS The meta-analysis included 8 studies containing 1393 cervical cancer cases and 1307 controls. The aggregate data under heterozygous model and dominant inheritance model (OR = 0.66, 95% CI: 0.55--0.80) indicated a significant association between rs1800872 and the low risk of cervical cancer in the entire population. And the aggregated data under the dominant inheritance model shows that rs1800872 is significantly associated with the reduction in the risk of cervical tumors in the entire population. CONCLUSION Our conclusion is that the AC/AA + AC variant of Rs1800872 indicates a protective effect in the development of cervical cancer.

Abstract
Cervical cancer is the most common gynaecological cancer in women. Cell mediated immunity plays a significant role in the progression or regression of neoplastic cervical lesions caused by human papilloma virus infection. Engagement of antigen-specific T cell receptors is a prerequisite for T cell activation. The initial events of T cell activation involve the movement of the T cell receptor into specialised microdomains known as lipid rafts. Gangliosides play an active role in the formation, stabilisation and biological functions of lipid rafts. This study aims to determine whether polymorphisms in the genes involved in the biosynthesis of gangliosides represent risk a factor for cervical cancer.Taqman methods for single nucleotide polymorphism genotyping was used. All subjects carried the homozygous wild-type genotypes for all analysed genes (CC for gene B4GALT5, AA for gene ST3GAL5, AA for gene ST8SIA1 and CC for gene B4GALNT1). A χ2 test showed significant differences in genotype failure for B4GALT5 rs138960078 (χ2 = 32.02, df = 1, p = .001) and genotype failure for B4GALNT1 rs144643461 (χ2 = 41.03, df = 1, p = .001) between cervical cancer group and control group. Genotype failures were significantly more frequent in the cervical cancer group. Unknown adjacent SNPs to rs138960078 in gene B4GALT5 and rs144643461 in gene B4GALNT1 could be associated with cervical cancer development.IMPACT STATEMENTWhat is already known on this subject? Individual genetic factors play an important role in the pathogenesis of disease. In recent years, the different SNPs and their potential effects on CC risk have been extensively studied. A large number of single nucleotide genetic variants associated with cervical cancer have been identified.What do the results of this study add? Our results suggest the presence of unknown adjacent SNPs to rs138960078 in gene B4GALT5 and rs144643461 in gene B4GALNT1 that could be associated with cervical cancer development.What are the implications of these findings for clinical practice and/or further research? Better understanding of causal-consequence relationship between ganglioside biosynthesis and TCR mediated activation with consequently cervical cancer development is needed. Our research opens a new possibilities for identification of polymorphisms in the genes involved in the biosynthesis of gangliosides which can be a risk factor for cervical cancer development.

Abstract
Objectives: This study investigated the relationship between single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in cytokine genes and the susceptibility to Squamous Intraepithelial Lesions (SIL), cervical cancer and HPV infection through a systematic review with meta-analysis. To verify the effect of SNPs, we also analyzed the transcription factor binding affinity using bioinformatics tools.Methods: Seven electronic databases (MEDLINE, Scielo, BIREME, PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science and Science Direct) were searched for case-control studies.Results: A total of 35 relevant case-control studies were meta-analyzed, including 7 cytokine genes and 15 SNPs. SNPs in IL-17A (rs2275913, rs3748067); IL-17 F (rs763780); IL-12A (rs568408); IL-12B (rs3212227); TNFA (rs1800629, rs361525); IL-1B (rs16944); IL-6 (rs1800795); IL-10 (rs1800896) genes were associated with increased risk for cervical cancer. No association was observed between meta-analyzed polymorphisms and SIL. Additional bioinformatics analysis suggested a possible transcriptional regulation pathway of the TNFA and IL-10 genes through the MZF1 (TNFA -308 G > A and IL-10 - 1082A>G) and ZNF263 (TNFA -238 G > A) transcription factors binding.Conclusion: Overall, 10 SNPs in cytokine genes were associated with increased risk for cervical cancer. Therefore, in our meta-analysis, these SNPs demonstrated to be potential biomarkers for predicting or identifying cases of high risk for SIL and cervical cancer.

Abstract
Prostate cancer affects African Americans disproportionately by exhibiting greater incidence, rapid disease progression, and higher mortality when compared to their Caucasian counterparts. Additionally, standard treatment interventions do not achieve similar outcome in African Americans compared to Caucasian Americans, indicating differences in host factors contributing to racial disparity. African Americans have allelic variants and hyper-expression of genes that often lead to an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, possibly contributing to more aggressive tumors and poorer disease and therapeutic outcomes than Caucasians. In this review, we have discussed race-specific differences in external factors impacting internal milieu, which modify immunological topography as well as contribute to disparity in prostate cancer.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The association of interleukin-10 rs1800896 polymorphism with head and neck cancer risk and its clinical stages has been investigated by many published studies, but the results remain inconsistent. Therefore, we conducted this meta-analysis for further investigation. RESULTS Six case-control studies involving 1,781 head and neck cancer patients and 1,978 controls were yielded. The results indicated an association between rs1800896 polymorphism and increased head and neck risk [odds ratio (95%confidence interval) for G vs. A, GA vs. AA, GG vs. AA, GA+GG vs. AA, and GG vs. AA + GA were 1.63 (1.30-2.04), 3.17 (2.11-4.76), 1.63 (1.17-2.26), 1.73 (1.25-2.39), and 2.73 (1.82-4.09), respectively]. The subgroup analyses all obtained similar results with overall populations. The results of clinical stages yielded a non-significant association. No publication bias was detected. MATERIALS AND METHODS The PubMed and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure databases were searched up to December 27, 2016. Two authors independently selected studies, extracted and analyzed the data using the RevMan 5 software. Either a fixed effect or a random effect model was used to estimate pooled odds ratio and its 95% confidence intervals. CONCLUSIONS We concluded that interleukin-10 rs1800896 polymorphism was significantly associated with head and neck cancer risk but not with the clinical stages thereof.

Abstract
Previous studies have suggested that interleukin-10 (IL-10) polymorphisms may be associated with an increased risk of developing cervical cancer. However, the published results on this subject matter are controversial. The aim of this study was to conduct a meta-analysis of published reports to more precisely investigate the relationship between IL-10 polymorphisms and cervical cancer risk. Five online databases (PubMed, Embase, Web of SCI, CNKI and Wanfang) were searched, and seventeen articles with sufficient quantitative information were included in our meta-analysis. The odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated to assess the association between IL-10 polymorphisms and cervical cancer risk. Publication bias, sensitivity and cumulative analyses were also performed to support our findings. Overall, there was a significant association between the IL-10 -1082A > G polymorphism and cervical cancer risk observed in the total population (G vs. A: OR = 1.60, 95% CI = 1.12–2.29, P = 0.01, I2 = 92.3%; AG vs. AA: OR = 1.34, 95% CI = 1.04-1.74, P = 0.03, I2 = 65.9%; AG + GG vs. AA: OR = 1.58, 95% CI = 1.11–2.25, P = 0.01, I2 = 84.4%), and the same results were obtained in the subgroup analysis. Moreover, the IL-10 -819 T > C polymorphism exhibited a significant, protective effect against cervical cancer. In summary, our meta-analysis suggests that IL-10 polymorphisms may play a variety of roles in regard to cervical cancer risk, especially in Asians.

Abstract
Interleukin-10 is involved in carcinogenesis by supporting tumor escape from the immune response. The aim of this study was to assess the single nucleotide polymorphisms, −1082A/G, −819T/C and −592A/C, in interleukin-10 gene promoter in inflammatory breast cancer compared to non–inflammatory breast cancer and association of these polymorphisms with interleukin-10 gene expression. We enrolled 105 breast cancer tissue (72 non–inflammatory breast cancer and 33 inflammatory breast cancer) patients and we determined the three studied single nucleotide polymorphisms in all samples by polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism and investigated their association with the disease and with various prognostic factors. In addition, we assessed the expression of interleukin-10 gene by real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and the correlation between studied single nucleotide polymorphisms and interleukin-10 messenger RNA expression. We found co-dominant effect as the best inheritance model (in the three studied single nucleotide polymorphisms in non–inflammatory breast cancer and inflammatory breast cancer samples), and we didn’t identify any association between single nucleotide polymorphisms genotypes and breast cancer prognostic factors. However, GCC haplotype was found highly associated with inflammatory breast cancer risk (p < 0.001, odds ratio = 43.05). Moreover, the expression of interleukin-10 messenger RNA was significantly higher (p < 0.001) by 5.28-fold and 8.95-fold than non–inflammatory breast cancer and healthy control, respectively, where GCC haplotype significantly increased interleukin-10 gene expression (r = 0.9, p < 0.001).

Abstract
Although Human Papillomavirus (HPV) exerts a vital influence on cervical carcinogenesis, other factors influence the development of a squamous intraepithelial lesion (SIL) that may or not progress to cervical cancer. Among several cytokines, Interleukin 10 (IL-10) stands out as an important anti-inflammatory factor, leading to immune system evasion through an immunosuppressive state. In the cervical microenvironment, during different stages of HPV infection, IL-10 production can be induced and maintained by different cell sources, including infected keratinocytes, some subsets of dendritic cells (DC), tumor associated macrophages (TAM), T regulatory cells (Treg) and tumor cells. Further, a wide range of effects can be exerted by IL-10 on different cell populations, such as inhibiting proinflammatory cytokine production, DCs differentiation, antigen presenting function and T-helper 1 (Th1) polarization. IL-10 is one of several cytokines involved in cancer development and sustenance, although its role in cancer is still controversial and poorly understood. However, cervical IL-10 levels tend to increase in parallel to SIL development and are even higher within cervical tumors. Accumulating data have shown that after HPV infection, IL-10 levels are enhanced as a result of HPV E2, E6 and E7 proteins action over IL-10 gene transcription, while IL-10 stimulates HPV E6 and E7 expression. Therefore, this interplay between HPV and IL-10 creates a vicious cycle that could favor an immunosuppressive microenvironment in the cervix, facilitating the progression of a simple HPV infection to SIL or cervical cancer.

Abstract
The local immune response is considered a key determinant in cervical carcinogenesis after persistent infection with oncogenic, high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) infections. Genetic variation in various immune response genes has been shown to influence risk of developing cervical cancer, as well as progression and survival among cervical cancer patients. We reviewed the literature on associations of immunogenetic single nucleotide polymorphism, allele, genotype, and haplotype distributions with risk and progression of cervical cancer. Studies on HLA and KIR gene polymorphisms were excluded due to the abundance on literature on that subject. We show that multiple genes and loci are associated with variation in risk of cervical cancer. Rather than one single gene being responsible for cervical carcinogenesis, we postulate that variations in the different immune response genes lead to subtle differences in the effectiveness of the antiviral and antitumour immune responses, ultimately leading to differences in risk of developing cervical cancer and progressive disease after HPV infection.

Abstract
Many studies have investigated the association between Tumor necrosis factor-α-308 G>A (rs1800629) and the risk of esophageal cancer. However, their results are inconsistent. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis of available data to investigate any possible association between this polymorphism and esophageal cancer risk. We searched PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, and the CNKI database for articles published up to 2016. Crude and adjusted odds ratio with 95% confidence intervals were calculated using fixed or random effects models. We used a dominant model (GA+AA vs GG), a recessive model (AA vs GG+GA), an over-dominant model (GG+AA vs GA), and allele frequency (G vs A) to identify any association. Eleven studies with 5617 participants were included in the meta-analysis. Our results suggest that TNF-α-308 G>A (rs1800629) is not significantly associated with a risk of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and esophageal adenocarcinoma. For genetic association studies, negative results of meta-analysis have a high level of evidence, and these results are important in this era of high-throughput sequencing-based precision medicine.

Abstract
Background Alterations in the host cellular immune response allow persistent infections with High-Risk Human Papillomavirus (HR-HPV) and development of premalignant cervical lesions and cervical cancer (CC). Variations of immunosuppressive cytokine levels in cervix are associated with the natural history of CC. To assess the potential role of genetic host immunity and cytokines serum levels in the risk of developing CC, we conducted a case–control study paired by age. Methods Peripheral blood samples from patients with CC (n = 200) and hospital controls (n = 200), were used to evaluate nine biallelic SNPs of six cytokine genes of the adaptive immune system by allelic discrimination and cytokines serum levels by ELISA. Results After analyzing the SNP association by multivariate logistic regression adjusted by age, CC history and smoking history, three Th2 cytokines (IL-4, IL-6 and IL-10) and one Th3 (TGFB1) cytokine were significantly associated with CC. Individuals with at least one copy of the following risk alleles: T of SNP (−590C > T IL-4), C of SNP (−573G > C IL-6), A of SNP (−592C > A IL-10), T of SNP (−819C > T IL-10) and T of SNP (−509C > T TGFB1), had an adjusted odds ratio (OR) of 2.08 (95 % CI 1.475–2.934, p = 0.0001), an OR of 1.70 (95 % CI 1.208–2.404, p = 0.002), an OR of 1.87 (95 % CI 1.332–2.630, p = 0.0001), an OR of 1.67 (95 % CI 1.192–2.353, p = 0.003) and an OR of 1.91 (95 % CI 1.354–2.701, p = 0.0001), respectively, for CC. The burden of carrying two or more of these risk alleles was found to have an additive effect on the risk of CC (p trend = 0.0001). Finally, the serum levels of Th2 and Th3 cytokines were higher in CC cases than the controls; whereas IFNG levels, a Th1 cytokine, were higher in controls than CC cases. Conclusion The significant associations of five SNPs with CC indicate that these polymorphisms are potential candidates for predicting the risk of development of CC, representing a risk allelic load for CC and can be used as a biomarker of susceptibility to this disease.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE We investigated the association between polymorphisms in the promoter and intron regions of the interleukin-10 (IL-10) gene with the risk of cervical cancer (CC) in Tunisian patients and control women. METHODS Study subjects comprised 86 CC cases and 126 control women. Genotyping of IL-10 intron (rs3024491, rs3024490) and promoter (rs1800872, rs1800871, rs1800896) variants was done by real-time PCR, with defined clusters. RESULTS The minor allele frequencies of the five tested IL-10 SNPs were not significantly different between cervical cancer cases and control women. However, significantly higher frequencies of homozygous minor allele-carriers in cases was seen for rs3024490 (P=0.023), rs1800872 (P=0.037), and rs1800871 (P=0.028). IL-10 serum levels were significantly reduced in rs3024490 T/T vs. G/G genotype carriers, and in rs1800871 T/T than C/C genotype carriers. While carriage of rs1800872 and rs3024491 minor allele was associated with reduced IL-10 secretion, this was not statistically significant. Haploview analysis demonstrated high linkage disequilibrium (LD) among the IL10 SNPs studied, and only seven haplotypes were common, capturing 98.8% of the total possible haplotypes. Reduced frequency of haplotypes GTCCA (P<0.001) and TGATG (P<0.001) was seen in cervical cancer cases than in control women, thus conferring disease protection nature to these haplotype. This association remained significant for GTCCA (Pc=0.006) and TGATG (P=0.045) after correcting for multiple comparisons. CONCLUSION Specific IL-10 variants (rs3024490, rs1800872, and rs1800871) and haplotype (GTCCA and TGATG) may contribute to the development of cervical cancer among Tunisian women.

Abstract
Interleukin-6 (IL-6), a central proinflammatory cytokine, maintains immune homeostasis and also plays important roles in cervical cancer. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate any associations of IL-6 gene polymorphisms at positions -174 and -572 with predisposition to cervical cancer in a Chinese population. The present hospital- based case-control study comprised 518 patients with cervical cancer and 518 healthy controls. Polymorphisms of the IL-6 gene were genotyped by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). Patients with cervical cancer had a significantly higher frequency of the IL-6 -174 CC genotype [odds ratio (OR) =1.52, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.06-2.19; p=0.02], IL-6 -572 CC genotype (OR =1.91, 95% CI = 1.16-3.13; p=0.01) and IL-6 -174 C allele (OR =1.21, 95% CI = 1.02-1.44; p=0.03) compared to healthy controls. When stratifying by the FIGO stage, patients with III-IV cervical cancer had a significantly higher frequency of IL-6 -174 CC genotype (OR =1.64, 95% CI =1.04-2.61; p=0.04). The CC genotypes of the IL-6 gene polymorphisms at positions -174 and -572 may confer a high risk of cervical cancer. Additional studies with detailed human papillomavirus (HPV) infection data are warranted to validate our findings.

Abstract
AIM Cervical cancer is the most common gynecological malignancy in the developing countries like India. In addition to human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, host genetic factors play an important role in viral persistence and neoplastic growth. IL-10, a multifunctional cytokine, plays an active role to promote tumor growth in the presence of HPV. The present study aims to find out the impact of IL-10 promoter polymorphisms at -1082A/G (rs1800896), -819C/T (rs1800872), and -592C/A (rs1800871) sites along with IL-10 production and HPV infection in the progression of cervical cancer. METHODS We have genotyped a total of 506 subjects, 256 cases (208 cervical cancer + 48 precancer), and 250 healthy controls by using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) method followed by sequencing. IL-10 serum concentration was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. RESULTS The frequency of IL-10 -592 variant genotype (AA) was found significantly reduced in cases as compare to controls while -1082 variant genotype (GG) was found ~4-fold higher risk of cervical cancer (p = <0.0001, OR = 3.667, 95% CI = 2.329-5.773). On construction of haplotypes, GTC haplotype was emerged as a major risk haplotype while ACA haplotype was seemed as a marker for precancerous lesions. IL-10 serum concentration was observed higher in HPV-infected precancer and cancer cases. GTC haplotype was found to be coupled with higher serum concentration of IL-10 and HPV infection. CONCLUSION IL-10 polymorphisms play a role in cervical cancer development and that GTC haplotype, which is closely related to its serum concentration, maybe a useful biomarker for HPV-mediated cervical cancer.

Abstract
Cervical cancer has a heritable genetic component. A large number of genetic associations with cervical cancer have been reported in hypothesis-driven candidate gene studies, but many of these results are either inconsistent or have failed to be independently replicated. Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have identified additional susceptibility loci previously not implicated in cervical cancer development, highlighting the power of genome-wide unbiased association analyses. Post-GWAS analyses including pathway-based analysis and functional characterization of associated variants have provided new insights into the pathogenesis of cervical cancer. In this review we summarize findings from candidate gene association studies, GWAS, and post-GWAS analyses of cervical cancer. We also discuss gaps in our understanding, possible clinical implications of the findings, and lessons for studies of other complex diseases.

Abstract
AIM To examine lymph nodes obtained after lipolysis and liposuction of subcutaneous fat of the inguinal region of female vulvar cancer patients to explore the feasibility of clinical application. METHODS The field of operation was on the basis of the range of the conventional resection of inguinal lymph nodes. We injected lipolysis liquid fanwise, started liposuction after 15-20 minutes; then the subcutaneous fatty tissue was sucked out clearly by suction tube. We selected the first puncture holes located on 2-3 cm part below anterior superior spine, the others respectively being located 3cm and 6cm below the first for puncturing into the skin, imbedding a trocar to intorduce CO2 gas and the specular body, and excise the lymph nodes by ultrasonic scalpel. The surgical field chamber was set with negative pressure drainage and was pressured with a soft saline bag after surgery. RESULTS A lacuna emerged from subcutaneous of the inguinal region after lipolysis and liposuction, with a wide fascia easily exposed at the bottom where lymph nodes could be readily excised. The number of lymph nodes of ten patients excised within the inguinal region on each side was 4-18. The excised average number of lymph nodes was 11 when we had mature technology. CONCLUSION Most of adipose tissue was removed after lipolysis and liposuction of subcutaneous tissue of inguinal region, so that the included lymph nodes were exposed and easy to excise by endoscope. This surgery avoided the large incision of regular surgery of inguinal region, the results indicating that this approach is feasible and safe for used as an alternative technology.

Abstract
Background Gastrointestinal stromal tumors are rare soft tissue sarcomas that typically develop from mesenchymal cells with acquired gain-in-function mutations in KIT or PDGFRA oncogenes. These somatic mutations have been well-characterized, but little is known about inherited genetic risk factors. Given evidence that certain susceptibility loci and carcinogens are associated with characteristic mutations in other cancers, we hypothesized that these signature KIT or PDGFRA mutations may be similarly fundamental to understanding gastrointestinal stromal tumor etiology. Therefore, we examined associations between 522 single nucleotide polymorphisms and seven KIT or PDGFRA tumor mutations types. Candidate pathways included dioxin response, toxin metabolism, matrix metalloproteinase production, and immune and inflammatory response. Methods We estimated odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals for associations between each candidate SNP and tumor mutation type in 279 individuals from a clinical trial of adjuvant imatinib mesylate. We used sequence kernel association tests to look for pathway-level associations. Results One variant, rs1716 on ITGAE, was significantly associated with KIT exon 11 non-codon 557–8 deletions (odds ratio = 2.86, 95% confidence interval: 1.71-4.78) after adjustment for multiple comparisons. Other noteworthy associations included rs3024498 (IL10) and rs1050783 (F13A1) with PDGFRA mutations, rs2071888 (TAPBP) with wild type tumors and several matrix metalloproteinase SNPs with KIT exon 11 codon 557–558 deletions. Several pathways were strongly associated with somatic mutations in PDGFRA, including defense response (p = 0.005) and negative regulation of immune response (p = 0.01). Conclusions This exploratory analysis offers novel insights into gastrointestinal stromal tumor etiology and provides a starting point for future studies of genetic and environmental risk factors for the disease.

Abstract
CD95 is the first death receptor identified and characterized in recent years, and it plays important roles in the molecular network regulating cell death and survival. CD95 rs1800682 polymorphism is a common genetic polymorphism identified in the CD95 gene. Many publications evaluated the association between CD95 rs1800682 polymorphism and cervical cancer risk, but the association remained inconclusive. To provide a more precise estimate on the association, a meta-analysis was carried out. The association between CD95 rs1800682 polymorphism and cervical cancer risk was assessed by calculating the pooled odds ratio (OR) with its 95% confidence intervals (95% CI). On the basis of our inclusion criteria, ten studies with a total of 5,481 individuals were included into the meta-analysis. There was obvious heterogeneity among the included studies. Meta-analysis of the ten studies suggested that there was no association between CD95 rs1800682 polymorphism and cervical cancer risk under all four genetic models (allele model: OR = 1.05, 95% CI 0.92-1.18, P = 0.478; homozygous model: OR = 1.08, 95% CI 0.83-1.41, P = 0.550; dominant model: OR = 1.12, 95% CI 0.88-1.42, P = 0.347; recessive model: OR = 1.00, 95% CI 0.76-1.31, P = 0.978). Subgroup analysis by ethnicity suggested that there was no association between CD95 rs1800682 polymorphism and cervical cancer risk in Asians, Caucasians, and Africans. Thus, the meta-analysis suggests that CD95 rs1800682 polymorphism is not associated with cervical cancer risk.
