HOXD3 was negatively regulated by YY1 recruiting HDAC1 to suppress progression of hepatocellular carcinoma cells via ITGA2 pathway

Overexpression of ZFP69B promotes hepatocellular carcinoma growth by upregulating the expression of TLX1 and TRAPPC9

BACKGROUND

T-cell leukemia homeobox protein 1 (TLX1) has been revealed as a hub transcription factor in leukemia, while its function in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has not been well described. Here, we investigated the regulation and function of TLX1 in HCC.

METHODS

TLX1 and its possible upstream and downstream molecules in HCC were identified using bioinformatics tools, which were then verified by RT-qPCR assay. CCK-8, wound healing, and Transwell invasion assays were performed to detect the effects of TLX1 knockdown on HCC cells. The interactions between TLX1 and trafficking protein particle complex subunit 9 (TRAPPC9) or Zinc finger protein 69 homolog B (ZFP69B) were further probed by ChIP and luciferase reporter assays. Rescue experiments were finally conducted in vitro and in vivo.

RESULTS

TLX1 was highly expressed in HCC cells, and the knockdown of TLX1 led to reduced malignant biological behavior of HCC cells. TLX1 bound to the promoter region of TRAPPC9, thereby promoting TRAPPC9 expression. Overexpression of TRAPPC9 attenuated the effect of TLX1 reduction on suppressing malignant behavior of HCC cells. ZFP69B was also highly expressed in HCC cells and bound to the promoter region of TLX1 to induce TLX1 expression. Knockdown of ZFP69B inhibited the viability and mobility of HCC cells in vitro and tumor growth in vivo, and overexpression of TLX1 rescued this inhibition.

CONCLUSION

These findings suggest that ZFP69B promotes the proliferation of HCC cells by directly upregulating the expression of TLX1 and the ensuing TRAPPC9.

Neopterin mediates sleep deprivation-induced microglial activation resulting in neuronal damage by affecting YY1/HDAC1/TOP1/IL-6 signaling

INTRODUCTION

Sleep deprivation (SD) is a common disorder in modern society. Hippocampus is an important region of the brain for learning, memory, and emotions. Dysfunction of hippocampus can lead to severe learning and memory disorder, significantly affecting quality of life. SD is accompanied by hippocampal microglia activation and a surge in inflammatory factors, but the precise mechanism remains unclear. Moreover, the ongoing unknown persists regarding how activated microglia in SD lead to neuronal damage. Topoisomerase 1 (TOP1) plays an essential role in the inflammatory process, including the tumor system and viral infection. In this study, we observed a significant elevation in TOP1 levels in the hippocampus of mice subjected to SD. Therefore, we hypothesize that TOP1 may be implicated in SD-induced microglia activation and neuronal damage.

OBJECTIVES

To investigate the role of TOP1 in SD-induced microglial activation, neuronal damage, and neurobehavioral impairments, and the molecular basis of SD-induced elevated TOP1 levels.

METHODS

TOP1-specific knockout mice in microglia were used to study the effects of TOP1 on microglial activation and neuronal damage. Transcription factor prediction, RNA interference, ChIP-qPCR, ChIP-seq database analysis, and luciferase reporter assays were performed to explore the molecular mechanisms of YY1 transcriptional activation. Untargeted metabolic profiling was employed to investigate the material basis of YY1 transcriptional activation.

RESULTS

Knockdown of TOP1 in hippocampal microglia ameliorates SD-induced microglial activation, inflammatory response, and neuronal damage. Mechanistically, TOP1 mediates the release of IL-6 from microglia, which consequently leads to neuronal dysfunction. Moreover, elevated TOP1 due to SD were associated with neopterin, which was attributed to its promotion of elevated levels of H3K27ac in the TOP1 promoter region by disrupting the binding of YY1 and HDAC1.

CONCLUSION

The present study reveals that TOP1-mediated microglial activation is critical for SD induced hippocampal neuronal damage and behavioral impairments.

Comprehensive evaluation of genes related to basement membrane in hepatocellular carcinoma

In all mammals, the basement membrane serves as a pivotal extracellular matrix. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a challenge among numerous cancer types shaped by basement membrane-related genes (BMGs). Our research established an innovative prognostic model that is highly accurate in its prediction of HCC prognoses and immunotherapy efficacy to summarize the crucial role of BMGs in HCC. We obtained HCC transcriptome analysis data and corresponding clinical data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). To augment our dataset, we incorporated 222 differentially expressed BMGs identified from relevant literature. A weighted gene coexpression network analysis (WGCNA) of 10158 genes demonstrated four modules that were connected to HCC. Additionally, 66 genes that are found at the intersection of BMGs and HCC-related genes were designated as hub HCC-related BMGs. MMP1, ITGA2, P3H1, and CTSA comprise the novel model that was engineered using univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis. Furthermore, the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) datasets encouraged the BMs model's validity. The overall survival (OS) of individuals with HCC may be precisely predicted in the TCGA and ICGC databases utilizing the BMs model. A nomogram based on the model was created in the TCGA database at similar time, and displayed a favorable discriminating ability for HCC. Particularly, when compared to the patients at an elevated risk, the patients with a low-risk profile presented different tumor microenvironment (TME) and hallmark pathways. Moreover, we discovered that a lower risk score of HCC patients would display a greater response to immunotherapy. Finally, quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) experiments were used to verify the expression patterns of BMs model. In summary, BMs model demonstrated efficacy in prognosticating the survival probability of HCC patients and their immunotherapeutic responsiveness.

A mutual regulatory loop between transcription factor Yin Yang 1 and hepatitis B virus replication influences chronic hepatitis B

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections pose a major threat to human health. HBV can upregulate the expression of the transcription factor Yin Yang 1 (YY1) in in vitro cytological experiments, suggesting an association between YY1 and HBV infection. However, data on YY1 expression in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients are lacking. In this study, we aimed to assess the correlation between YY1 expression and HBV infection. We detected serum YY1 levels in 420 patients with chronic HBV infection, 30 patients with chronic hepatitis C virus infection, and 32 healthy controls using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The correlation between YY1 levels and clinical parameters was analyzed. Meanwhile, the changes of YY1 before and after interferon or entecavir treatment were analyzed. YY1 levels in the liver tissues were detected using immunofluorescence staining. The expression of YY1 in HBV-expressing cells was detected through western blotting. Meanwhile, we explored the effects of YY1 on HBV replication and gene expression. We found that YY1 was highly expressed in the serum and liver tissues of CHB patients. Serum YY1 levels positively correlated with HBV DNA and hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg). Additionally, HBV DNA levels increased but HBsAg levels decreased after HBV-expressing cells overexpress YY1. In conclusion, our study demonstrates that YY1 plays an important role in HBV replication and gene expression, providing a potential target for the treatment of CHB.

ITGA2 as a prognostic factor of glioma promotes GSCs invasion and EMT by activating STAT3 phosphorylation

Glioma is the most common malignant brain tumor in adults with a high mortality and recurrence rate. Integrin alpha 2 (ITGA2) is involved in cell adhesion, stem cell regulation, angiogenesis and immune cell function. The role of ITGA2 in glioma malignant invasion remains unknown. The function and clinical relevance of ITGA2 were analysed by bioinformatics databases. The expression of ITGA2 in parent cells and GSCs was detected by flow cytometry and immunofluorescence double staining. The role of ITGA2 on the malignant phenotype of GSCs and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) was identified by stem cell function assays and Western blot. The effect of ITGA2 on glioma progression in vivo was determined by the intracranial orthotopic xenograft model. Immunohistochemistry, Spearman correlation and Kaplan-Meier were used to analyse the relationship of ITGA2 with clinical features and glioma prognosis. Biological analysis showed that ITGA2 might be related to cell invasion and migration. ITGA2, enriched in GSCs and co-expressed with SOX2, promoted the invasion and migration of GSCs by activating STAT3 phosphorylation and enhancing EMT. ITGA2 knockout suppressed the intracranial orthotopic xenograft growth and prolonged the survival of xenograft mice. In addition, the expression level of ITGA2 was significantly correlated to the grade of malignancy, N-cadherin and Ki67. High expression of ITGA2 indicated a worse prognosis of glioma patients. As a biomarker for the prediction of prognosis, ITGA2 promotes the malignant invasion of GSCs by activating STAT3 phosphorylation and enhancing EMT, leading to tumor recurrence and poor prognosis.

HOXD3 promotes the migration and angiogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma via modifying hepatocellular carcinoma cells exosome-delivered CCR6 and regulating chromatin conformation of CCL20

Angiogenesis plays an essential role in the microenvironment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). HOXD3 is involved in the metastasis and invasion of HCC cells; Whereas the underlying molecular mechanisms in the microenvironment of HCC remain unknown. Wound healing, transwell invasion, tube formation and spheroid sprouting assays were carried out to identify the effects of HCC-HOXD3-exosomes and genes on the migration of HCC cells. ChIP-PCR was applied to test the binding region of HOXD3 on CCR6, Med15, and CREBBP promoter. Exosome isolation and mRNA-seq were applied to examine the morphological characteristics of exosomes and the contained mRNA in exosomes. Co-IP and Immunofluorescence assays were used to demonstrate the role of CREBBP in the chromatin conformation of CCL20. The nude mice were used to identify the function of genes in regulating migration of HCC in vivo. In this study, integrated cellular and bioinformatic analyses revealed that HOXD3 targeted the promoter region of CCR6 and induced its transcription. CCR6 was delivered by exosomes to endothelial cells and promoted tumour migration. Overexpression of CCR6 promoted metastasis, invasion in HCCs and angiogenesis in endothelial cells (ECs), whereas its downregulation suppressed these functions. The role of HOXD3 in the metastasis and invasion of HCC cells was reversed after the suppression of CCR6. Furthermore, CCL20 was demonstrated as the ligand of CCR6, and its high expression was found in HCC tissues and cells, which was clinically associated with the poor prognosis of HCC. Mechanistically, HOXD3 targets the promoter regions of CREBBP and Med15, which affect CCL20 chromatin conformation by regulating histone acetylation and expression of Pol II to enhance the migration of HCCs. This study demonstrated the function of the HOXD3-CREBBP/Med15-CCL20-CCR6 axis in regulating invasion and migration in HCC, thus providing new therapeutic targets for HCC.

Role of HOXA1-4 in the development of genetic and malignant diseases

The HOXA genes, belonging to the HOX family, encompass 11 members (HOXA1-11) and exert critical functions in early embryonic development, as well as various adult processes. Furthermore, dysregulation of HOXA genes is implicated in genetic diseases, heart disease, and various cancers. In this comprehensive overview, we primarily focused on the HOXA1-4 genes and their associated functions and diseases. Emphasis was placed on elucidating the impact of abnormal expression of these genes and highlighting their significance in maintaining optimal health and their involvement in the development of genetic and malignant diseases. Furthermore, we delved into their regulatory mechanisms, functional roles, and underlying biology and explored the therapeutic potential of targeting HOXA1-4 genes for the treatment of malignancies. Additionally, we explored the utility of HOXA1-4 genes as biomarkers for monitoring cancer recurrence and metastasis.

A pan-cancer analysis of the role of HOXD1, HOXD3, and HOXD4 and validation in renal cell carcinoma

HOXD1, HOXD3, and HOXD4 are members of the HOXD genes family and are related to tumorigenesis of the tumor. However, whether HOXDs (1, 3, 4) have a crucial role across pan-cancer is still unknown. HOXD1, HOXD3, and HOXD4 expressions were analyzed using public databases in 33 types of tumors. The UCSC Xena website was carried out to investigate the relationship between the expression of genes and the progress of cancers. The biological functions of HOXD3 were tested by colony forming, transwell, wound healing, and xenograft assay in vitro and in vivo. GSEA was used to identify the associated cancer hallmarks with HOXDs expression. Immune cell infiltration analysis was applied to verify the immune cell infiltrations related to genes. The results showed HOXD1, HOXD3, and HOXD4 co-low expressed in BRCA, COAD, KICH, KIRC, KIRP, READ, and TGCT. In the KIRC, all of HOXDs expression was connected with tumor stage and histological grade. Upregulation of HOXDs was associated with improved OS, DSS, and PFI. Down-expression of HOXD3 induced cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in vivo and in vitro. In addition, HOXDs were connected with immune-activated hallmarks and cancer immune cell infiltrations. These findings demonstrated that HOXDs may be indicative biomarkers for the prognosis and immunotherapy in pan-cancer.

Novel Biotherapeutics Targeting Biomolecular and Cellular Approaches in Diabetic Wound Healing

Wound healing responses play a major role in chronic inflammation, which affects millions of people around the world. One of the daunting tasks of creating a wound-healing drug is finding equilibrium in the inflammatory cascade. In this study, the molecular and cellular mechanisms to regulate wound healing are explained, and recent research is addressed that demonstrates the molecular and cellular events during diabetic wound healing. Moreover, a range of factors or agents that facilitate wound healing have also been investigated as possible targets for successful treatment. It also summarises the various advances in research findings that have revealed promising molecular targets in the fields of therapy and diagnosis of cellular physiology and pathology of wound healing, such as neuropeptides, substance P, T cell immune response cDNA 7, miRNA, and treprostinil growth factors such as fibroblast growth factor, including thymosin beta 4, and immunomodulators as major therapeutic targets.

MAD2L1 is transcriptionally regulated by TEAD4 and promotes cell proliferation and migration in colorectal cancer

The molecular mechanism of network regulation in the occurrence and development of colorectal cancer (CRC) has been constantly improved. Here, we investigated the biological effects of TEAD4-MAD2L1 axis on proliferation and metastasis of human CRC cells. This study revealed that the expressions of MAD2L1 and TEAD4 in CRC tissues and CRC cell lines were significantly higher than those in adjacent epithelial tissues and normal intestinal epithelial cell line NCM460, and their expressions were significantly positively correlated; Moreover, inhibiting the expression of MAD2L1 or TEAD4 can inhibit the proliferation and migration of CRC cells and promote apoptosis. In addition, the promoter region of MAD2L1 gene has a TEAD4 binding site (motif sequence), and the transcription of MAD2L1 is positively regulated by TEAD4 protein; The inhibition of promotion/migration and promotion of apoptosis of CRC cells by silencing TEAD4 can be saved by the high expression of MAD2L1. In conclusion, our study suggests that the transcription and expression of MAD2L1 is regulated by TEAD4, which further promotes the proliferation and migration of CRC cells in vitro and in vivo, and inhibits apoptosis. MAD2L1 and TEAD4 are potential biomarkers for colorectal cancer.

Molecular Analysis of Prognosis and Immune Infiltration of Ovarian Cancer Based on Homeobox D Genes

Background

Homeobox D (HOXD) genes were associated with cancer pathogenesis. However, the role of HOXD genes in ovarian cancer (OC) and the possible mechanisms involved are unclear. In this study, we analyzed the function and regulatory mechanisms and functions of HOXD genes in OC based on comprehensive bioinformatics analysis.

Methods

Expression of HOXD1/3/4/8/9/10/11/12/13 mRNA was analyzed between OC tissue and normal tissue using ONCOMINE, GEO, and TCGA databases. The relationship between HOXD expression and clinical stage was studied by GEPIA. The Kaplan-Meier plotter was used to analyze prognosis. cBioPortal was used to analyze the mutation and coexpression of HOXDs. GO and KEGG analyses were performed by the DAVID software to predict the function of HOXD coexpression genes. Immune infiltration analysis was used to evaluate the relationship between the expression of HOXD genes and 24 immune infiltrating cells.

Results

The expression of HOXD3/4/8/9/10/11 was significantly lower in OC tissues than in normal ovarian tissues, while the expression of HOXD1/12/13 was significantly higher in OC tissues. The expression of HOXD genes was associated with FIGO stage, primary therapy outcome, tumor status, anatomic neoplasm subdivision, and age. The expression levels of HOXD1/3/4/8/9/10 correlated with tumor stage. HOXD1/8/9 could be served as ideal biomarkers to distinguish OC from normal tissue. Low HOXD9 expression was associated with shorter overall survival (OS) (HR: 0.75; 95% CI: 0.58-0.98; P = 0.034) and progression-free survival (PFS) (HR: 0.69; 95% CI: 0.54-0.87; P = 0.002). The HOXD coexpression genes were associated with pathways including cell cycle, TGF-beta signaling pathway, cellular senescence, and Hippo signaling pathway. HOXD genes were significantly associated with immune infiltration.

Conclusion

The expression of HOXD genes is associated with clinical characteristics. HOXD9 is a new biomarker of prognosis in OC, and HOXD1/4/8/9/10 may be potential therapeutic targets. The members of the HOXD genes may be the response to immunotherapy for OC.

Significance of HOXD transcription factors family in progression, migration and angiogenesis of cancer

The transcription factors (TFs) of the HOX family play significant roles during early embryonic development and cellular processes. They also play a key role in tumorigenesis as tumor oncogenes or suppressors. Furthermore, TFs of the HOXD geFIne cluster affect proliferation, migration, and invasion of tumors. Consequently, dysregulated activity of HOXD TFs has been linked to clinicopathological characteristics of cancer. HOXD TFs are regulated by non-coding RNAs and methylation of DNA on promoter and enhancer regions. In addition, HOXD genes modulate the biological function of cancer cells via the MEK and AKT signaling pathways, thus, making HOXD TFs, a suitable molecular marker for cancer prognosis and therapy. In this review, we summarized the roles of HOXD TFs in different cancers and highlighted its potential as a diagnostic and therapeutic target.

Alpha2beta1 Integrin Polymorphism in Diffuse Astrocytoma Patients

Integrins are heterodimeric transmembrane glycoproteins resulting from the non-covalent association of an α and β chain. The major integrin receptor for collagen/laminin, α2β1 is expressed on a wide variety of cell types and plays an essential role in the adhesion of normal and tumor cells to the extracellular matrix. Integrin-triggered signaling pathways promote the invasion and survival of glioma cells by modifying the brain microenvironment. In this study, we investigated the association of a specific genetic polymorphism of integrin α2β1 with the incidence of diffusely infiltrating astrocytoma and the progression of these tumors. Single-nucleotide polymorphism in intron 7 of the integrin ITGA2 gene was examined in 158 patients and 162 controls using polymerase chain reaction and restriction enzyme analysis. The ITGA2 genotype +/+ (with a BglII restriction site in both alleles) exhibited higher frequency in grade II astrocytoma compared to control (P = 0.02) whereas the genotype -/- (lacking the BglII site) correlated with the poorest survival rate (P = 0.04). In addition, in silico analyses of ITGA2 expression from low-grade gliomas (LGG, n = 515) and glioblastomas (GBM, n = 159) indicated that the higher expression of ITGA2 in LGG was associated with poor overall survival (P < 0.0001). However, the distribution of integrin ITGA2 BglII genotypes (+/+, +/-, -/-) was not significantly different between astrocytoma subgroups III and IV (P = 0.65, 0.24 and 0.33; 0.29, 0.48, 0.25, respectively) compared to control. These results suggest a narrow association between the presence of this SNP and indicate that further studies with larger samples are warranted to analyze the relation between tumor grade and overall survival, highlighting the importance of determining these polymorphisms for prognosis of astrocytomas.

Integrin Alpha-2 as a Potential Prognostic and Predictive Biomarker for Patients With Lower-Grade Glioma

Diffuse gliomas are the most common malignant brain tumors with the highest mortality and recurrence rate in adults. Integrin alpha-2 (ITGA2) is involved in a series of biological processes, including cell adhesion, stemness regulation, angiogenesis, and immune/blood cell functions. The role of ITGA2 in lower-grade gliomas (LGGs) is not well defined. Firstly, we downloaded RNA sequencing and relevant clinical information from The Cancer Genome Atlas cohort, the Chinese Glioma Genome Atlas cohort, and related immune cohorts. Next, prognosis analysis, difference analysis, clinical model construction, enrichment analysis, and immune infiltration analysis are performed for this study. These analyses indicated that ITGA2 may have clinical application value and research value in LGG immunotherapy. We also detected the mRNA and protein expression of ITGA2 in three LGG cell lines and normal glial cells using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction assay and western blot assay. Our study not only offers a novel target for LGG immunotherapy but also can better comprehend the mechanism of the development and progression of patients with LGG. This study revealed that ITGA2 may be a potential prognostic and predictive biomarker for LGG, which can bring new insights into targeted immunotherapy.

MeCP2 drives hepatocellular carcinoma progression via enforcing HOXD3 promoter methylation and expression through the HB-EGF/EGFR pathway

Homeobox D3 (HOXD3), a member of the homeobox family, was described to regulate tumorigenesis, invasion, metastasis, and angiogenesis in various tumor types. However, the molecular mechanisms regulating HOXD3 during hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) migration, invasion, and angiogenesis remain elusive. In this study, we demonstrated that HOXD3 expression is enhanced by the binding of methyl-CpG-binding protein 2 (MeCP2), a methyl-CpG binding protein, together with CREB1to the hypermethylated promoter of HOXD3. Inhibition of HOXD3 eliminated the tumorigenic effects of MeCP2 on HCC cells. Furthermore, HOXD3 directly targeted the promoter region of heparin-binding epidermal growth factor (HB-EGF) via the EGFR-ERK1/2 cell signaling pathway and promoted invasion, metastasis, and angiogenesis of HCC in vitro and in vivo. Additionally, elevated expression of MeCP2, CREB1, and HB-EGF in HCC correlated with a poor survival rate. Our findings reveal the function of the MeCP2/HOXD3/HB-EGF regulatory axis in HCC, rendering it an attractive candidate for the development of targeted therapeutics and as a potential biomarker in patients with HCC.

A novel focal adhesion related gene signature for prognostic prediction in hepatocellular carcinoma

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly heterogeneous disease. Reduced expression of focal adhesion is considered as an important prerequisite for tumor cell invasion and metastasis. However, the prognostic value of focal adhesion related genes in HCC remains to be further determined. In this study, RNA expression profiles were downloaded from public databases. A five focal adhesion related gene signature model was established by the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator Cox regression analysis, which categorized patients into high- and low-risk groups. Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that the risk score was an independent predictor for overall survival. Single-sample gene set enrichment analysis revealed that immune status was different between the two risk groups, and tumor-related pathways were enriched in high-risk group. The risk score was significantly associated with tumor grade, tumor stage, immune scores, and immune infiltrate types. Pearson correlation showed that the expression level of prognostic genes was associated with anti-tumor drug sensitivity. Besides, the mRNA and protein expression of prognostic genes was significantly different between HCC tissues and adjacent non-tumorous tissues in our separate cohort. Taken together, a novel focal adhesion related gene signature can be used for prognostic prediction in HCC, which may be a therapeutic alternative.

HOXD3 was negatively regulated by YY1 recruiting HDAC1 to suppress progression of hepatocellular carcinoma cells via ITGA2 pathway

Objectives

HOXD3 is associated with progression of multiple types of cancer. This study aimed to identify the association of YY1 with HOXD3‐ITGA2 axis in the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Materials and Methods

Bioinformatics assay was used to identify the effect of YY1, HOXD3 and ITGA2 expression in HCC tissues. The function of YY1 and HOXD3 in HCCs was determined by qRT‐PCR, MTT, apoptosis, Western blotting, colony formation, immunohistochemistry, and wound‐healing and transwell invasion assays. The relationship between YY1 and HOXD3 or HOXD3 and ITGA2 was explored by RNA‐Seq, ChIP‐PCR, dual luciferase reports and Pearson's assays. The interactions between YY1 and HDAC1 were determined by immunofluorescence microscopy and Co‐IP.

Results

Herein, we showed that the expression of YY1, HOXD3 and ITGA2 associated with the histologic and pathologic stages of HCC. Moreover, YY1, recruiting HDAC1, can directly target HOXD3 to regulate progression of HCCs. The relationship between YY1 and HOXD3 was unknown until uncovered by our present investigation. Furthermore, HOXD3 bound to promoter region of ITGA2 and up‐regulated the expression, thus activating the ERK1/2 signalling and inducing HCCs proliferation, metastasis and migration in the vitro and vivo.

Conclusions

Therefore, HOXD3, a target of YY1, facilitates HCC progression via activation of the ERK1/2 signalling by promoting ITGA2. This finding provides a new whole way to HCC therapy by serving YY1‐HOXD3‐ITGA2 regulatory axis as a potential therapeutic target for HCC therapy.
