Abstract
AIM To analyse experience in postnatal nurses returning to work within 3 months following the delivery of a second or third child and recommend appropriate measures to relieve pressure and enhance work engagement among this group. METHODS This study adopted a descriptive phenomenological approach. Semi-structured interview was carried out with 12 postnatal nurses who had returned to work in the postpartum period following the delivery of a second or third child. The collected data were analysed using the Colaizzi method. RESULTS Experience among postnatal nurses with two or three children was found to stem from three factors: declining physical quality after childbirth (pelvic floor disorder, fatigue, postpartum memory decline and sleep disturbance), poor psychological adjustment after childbirth (work-family conflict, conflict between clinical work and breastfeeding and role maladjustment) and lack of clear career planning. CONCLUSION This study emphasised the importance of psychological experience when postnatal nurses returning to clinical work in the early phase. Postnatal nurses and nurse leaders can use these results to make comprehensive solution in order to improve work engagement in the postpartum return. Abstract
The benefits of physical activity during pregnancy or postpartum are auspicious, especially in preventing and treating postpartum depression. This review aimed to examine the relationship between exercise and postpartum depression in terms of prevention and treatment. The goals were to determine if exercise alone is sufficient for this purpose and to attract attention to the kind, intensity, and duration needed to achieve this purpose. A literature review was conducted in PubMed, PubMed Central, MEDLINE, and Cochrane libraries. The search terms were "physical activity," "postpartum depression," "postnatal depression," and "exercise." Physical activity can be a preventative measure and a treatment aid for pregnant or postpartum women with depressive disorders. However, the exercise protocol should include a support/wellness program to achieve better and more remarkable results.

Pregnant Women's Attitudes and Beliefs towards Sleep and Exercise: A Cross-Sectional Survey. Clocks Sleep 2023; 5:34-44. Abstract
As many as 80% of women report experiencing poor sleep throughout pregnancy. Exercise is associated with many health benefits during pregnancy and is established as a non-pharmacological method to improve sleep in both pregnant and non-pregnant populations. Given the importance of sleep and exercise during pregnancy, the aim of this cross-sectional study was to (1) examine pregnant women's attitudes and beliefs towards sleep and exercise during pregnancy, and (2) investigate the barriers women face to achieving good sleep and engaging in healthy levels of exercise. Participants were comprised of 258 pregnant Australian women (31.3 ± 5.1 years) who completed a 51-question online survey. Almost all (98%) participants believed exercise during pregnancy to be safe, whilst over half (67%) believed participating in more exercise will improve their sleep. Over 70% of participants reported experiencing barriers such as physical symptoms related to pregnancy that negatively impacted their ability to exercise. Almost all (95%) participants reported experiencing barriers to sleep in their current pregnancy. Present findings suggest that overcoming intrapersonal barriers should be a priority for any intervention aiming to improve sleep or increase exercise levels in pregnant populations. Findings from the present study highlight the need for a better understanding of women's sleep experiences during pregnancy, and demonstrate how exercise may improve sleep and health outcomes.

Abstract
BACKGROUND No meta-analysis has analyzed the effect of physical activity level, period of physical activity intervention, and duration of intervention, on perinatal depression. This study was to evaluate the impact of physical activity intensity, dose, period, and duration on perinatal depression. METHODS The literature was searched via the PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science databases. Weighted mean difference (WMD) or the risk ratio (RR) was used as the effect indicator, and the effect size was represented by the 95 % confidence interval (CI). Subgroup analysis based on the perinatal stage, physical activity intensity, physical activity equivalent, and intervention duration was performed. RESULTS Totally, 35 studies including 5084 women were included. Physical activity could reduce the incidence and severity of depression in perinatal women. Among depressed women with prenatal depression, low-intensity physical activity, with metabolic equivalents (METs)-min/week being <450, was associated with lower levels of depression. In the general population, the risk of postpartum depression was lower in the physical activity group when the duration of intervention was ≥12 weeks, being II, III stage, and ≥450 METs-min/week. Both low and moderate-intensity physical activity were beneficial to an improved depression severity among depressed women with postpartum depression, and moderate exercise intervention could decrease the risk of postpartum depression in general pregnant women. LIMITATIONS Different types of physical activities may affect the effectiveness of interventions. CONCLUSION Our study indicated physical activity specifically targeted at pregnant women could reduce depression risk and severity.

Abstract
BACKGROUND A woman's vulnerability to sleep disruption and mood disturbance is heightened during the perinatal period and there is a strong bidirectional relationship between them. Both sleep disruption and mood disturbance can result in significant adverse outcomes for women and their infant. Thus, supporting and improving sleep in the perinatal period is not only an important outcome in and of itself, but also a pathway through which future mental health outcomes may be altered. METHODS Using scoping review methodology, we investigated the nature, extent and characteristics of intervention studies conducted during the perinatal period (pregnancy to one-year post-birth) that reported on both maternal sleep and maternal mental health. Numerical and descriptive results are presented on the types of studies, settings, sample characteristics, intervention design (including timeframes, facilitation and delivery), sleep and mood measures and findings. RESULTS Thirty-seven perinatal interventions were identified and further described according to their primary focus (psychological (n = 9), educational (n = 15), lifestyle (n = 10), chronotherapeutic (n = 3)). Most studies were conducted in developed Western countries and published in the last 9 years. The majority of study samples were women with existing sleep or mental health problems, and participants were predominantly well-educated, not socio-economically disadvantaged, in stable relationships, primiparous and of White race/ethnicity. Interventions were generally delivered across a relatively short period of time, in either the second trimester of pregnancy or the early postnatal period and used the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) to measure sleep and the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) to measure mood. Retention rates were high (mean 89%) and where reported, interventions were well accepted by women. Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT) and educational interventions were largely delivered by trained personnel in person, whereas other interventions were often self-delivered after initial explanation. CONCLUSIONS Future perinatal interventions should consider spanning the perinatal period and using a stepped-care model. Women may be better supported by providing access to a range of information, services and treatment specific to their needs and maternal stage. The development of these interventions must involve and consider the needs of women experiencing disadvantage who are predominantly affected by poor sleep health and poor mental health.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Postpartum fatigue is a common symptom among new mothers after their pregnancy. It has a considerable negative impact on women's functional and mental status as well as the development of babies. Identifying effective interventions to prevent or reduce postpartum fatigue is meaningful to improve the quality of life and avoid adverse outcomes of this vulnerable population. This systematic review aims to synthesise non-pharmacological evidence and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions for reducing postpartum fatigue among puerperas. METHODS AND ANALYSIS This review will be conducted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocols. We will systematically search the Cochrane Library, PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, PsycINFO, CINAHL and ProQuest databases to identify clinical trials implementing non-pharmacological interventions conducted during 0-78 weeks postpartum for fatigue reduction. An additional search of OpenGrey will be conducted to identify grey literature. The search will be performed on 30 March 2021 without restrictions on time and language. Two independent reviewers will be responsible for study selection, data extraction and study quality assessment. The Cochrane risk-of-bias tool will be adopted to evaluate the risk biases of the included randomised controlled trials, and the Risk of Bias in Non-randomised Studies of Interventions will be applied to evaluate non-randomised controlled trials. Any disagreements will be referred to a third reviewer to reach a consensus. Findings will be qualitatively synthesised, and a meta-analysis will be conducted for the statistical combination if outcome data are sufficient and available. ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION This systematic review will not involve the collection of primary data and will be based on published data. Therefore, ethics approval is not required. The final findings will be disseminated through peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences. PROSPERO REGISTRATION NUMBER CRD42021234869.

Abstract
AIM This study aims to examine the effect of yoga on posttraumatic growth and quality of life in postpartum mothers. METHODS The study was conducted as randomized controlled. There were 160 participant mothers, including 80 for the yoga group and 80 for the control group. Mothers in the yoga group participated in individual yoga practices at their homes every weekday for 10 weeks. The personal information form, posttraumatic growth inventory (PTGI), and short form-36 (SF-36) Quality of Life Scale were used to collect data. RESULTS The results showed that total and subscale mean scores of the PTGI were higher in the yoga group than the control group after the intervention. In comparison to the control group, the mean scores of the yoga group were higher in subscales as physical functioning, role-physical, bodily pain, general health, vitality, social functioning, mental health of the SF-36, after the intervention. CONCLUSION The yoga increased psychological growth and quality of life in the postpartum period. Health professionals could use yoga to increase the quality of life of mothers and to ensure their psychological growth in health care.

Abstract
Background: It is necessary to seek alternative therapies for depression, because side effects of medications lead to poor adherence and some patients do not achieve a clinical treatment effect. Recently the role of exercise as a low-cost and easy-to-use treatment for depression has gained attention with a number of studies showing that exercise is effective at reducing depressive symptoms and improving body functions such as cardiorespiratory system and cognitive function. Because of the heterogeneity of exercise therapy programs, there is no standardized and unified program. Few studies have summarized the specific properties of exercise programs (type, intensity, duration, and frequency) and clinical prescriptions for exercise are not mentioned in most articles. Aims: This study aimed to investigate the feasibility and efficacy of exercise therapy for patients with depression, in order to appraise the evidence and outline accepted guidelines to direct individualized treatment plans for patients with depression based on their individual situations. Methods: A systematic review of English language literature including papers published from 2010 to present in PubMed was performed. Given the feasibility of prescribing exercise therapy for patients with depression, nearly 3 years of clinical studies on the treatments of depressive symptoms with exercise were first reviewed, comparing the exercise programs utilized. Conclusions: Exercise has therapeutic effects on depression in all age groups (mostly 18-65 years old), as a single therapy, an adjuvant therapy, or a combination therapy, and the benefits of exercise therapy are comparable to traditional treatments for depression. Moderate intensity exercise is enough to reduce depressive symptoms, but higher-dose exercise is better for overall functioning. Exercise therapy has become more widely used because of its benefits to the cardiovascular system, emotional state, and systemic functions. Recommendations: Aerobic exercise/mind-body exercise (3-5 sessions per week with moderate intensity lasting for 4-16 weeks) is recommended. Individualized protocols in the form of group exercise with supervision are effective at increasing adherence to treatment.
