Abstract
Thyme essential oil (TEO), rich in distinct bioactivities, is extensively used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. This study uniquely integrates green ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) of TEO, with sustainable bioactive recovery from thyme residues. Nine ultrasound treatments with varying amplitude (40, 60 and 80 %) and time (20, 40, 60 min) were applied. The extracted TEO was analysed for yield (%), chemical composition (GC-MS), antioxidant, and antimicrobial activity. The treatment A3T1 (80 % amplitude, 20 min) came out to be the most favourable treatment with maximum yield of 1.76 % and 4.21 % for oil and bioactives, respectively. Oil demonstrated strongest antioxidant and antimicrobial activity which was supported by GC-MS profiling. For nanoencapsulation of TEO and bioactives, gum arabic offered better encapsulation characteristics with higher EE (80.13 % and 76.33 %), particle size (310 nm and 284 nm), and zeta potential (-21.1 mV and - 26.4 mV) respectively, confirmed by DSC and FTIR, making it the best option for preserving and enhancing bioactive and thyme oil qualities.

Abstract
Soybean is a vital crop globally and a key source of food, feed, and biofuel. With advancements in high-throughput technologies, soybeans have become a key target for genetic improvement. This comprehensive review explores advances in multi-omics, artificial intelligence, and economic sustainability to enhance soybean resilience and productivity. Genomics revolution, including marker-assisted selection (MAS), genomic selection (GS), genome-wide association studies (GWAS), QTL mapping, GBS, and CRISPR-Cas9, metagenomics, and metabolomics have boosted the growth and development by creating stress-resilient soybean varieties. The artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning approaches are improving genetic trait discovery associated with nutritional quality, stresses, and adaptation of soybeans. Additionally, AI-driven technologies like IoT-based disease detection and deep learning are revolutionizing soybean monitoring, early disease identification, yield prediction, disease prevention, and precision farming. Additionally, the economic viability and environmental sustainability of soybean-derived biofuels are critically evaluated, focusing on trade-offs and policy implications. Finally, the potential impact of climate change on soybean growth and productivity is explored through predictive modeling and adaptive strategies. Thus, this study highlights the transformative potential of multidisciplinary approaches in advancing soybean resilience and global utility.

Abstract
This review investigates the potential of natural compounds obtained from marine sources for the treatment of cancer. The oceans are believed to contain physiologically active compounds, such as alkaloids, nucleosides, macrolides, and polyketides, which have shown promising effects in slowing human tumor cells both in vivo and in vitro. Various marine species, including algae, mollusks, actinomycetes, fungi, sponges, and soft corals, have been studied for their bioactive metabolites with diverse chemical structures. The review explores the therapeutic potential of various marine-derived substances and discusses their possible applications in cancer treatment.

Abstract
Conventional selective breeding in aquaculture has been effective in genetically enhancing economic traits like growth and disease resistance. However, its advances are restricted by heritability, the extended period required to produce a strain with desirable traits, and the necessity to target multiple characteristics simultaneously in the breeding programs. Genome editing tools like zinc finger nucleases (ZFNs), transcription activator-like effector nucleases (TALENs), and clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR-associated protein 9 (CRISPR/Cas9) are promising for faster genetic improvement in fishes. CRISPR/Cas9 technology is the least expensive, most precise, and well compatible with multiplexing of all genome editing approaches, making it a productive and highly targeted approach for developing customized fish strains with specified characteristics. As a result, the use of CRISPR/Cas9 technology in aquaculture is rapidly growing, with the main traits researched being reproduction and development, growth, pigmentation, disease resistance, trans-GFP utilization, and omega-3 metabolism. However, technological obstacles, such as off-target effects, ancestral genome duplication, and mosaicism in founder population, need to be addressed to achieve sustainable fish production. Furthermore, present regulatory and risk assessment frameworks are inadequate to address the technical hurdles of CRISPR/Cas9, even though public and regulatory approval is critical to commercializing novel technology products. In this review, we examine the potential of CRISPR/Cas9 technology for the genetic improvement of edible fish, the technical, ethical, and socio-economic challenges to using it in fish species, and its future scope for sustainable fish production.

Abstract
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is an endocrinological disorder in which blood sugar levels get elevated and if unmanaged, it leads to several critical complications. Existing therapies or drugs are not able to attain absolute control of DM. Moreover, associated side/adverse effects associated with pharmacotherapy further worsen the Quality of life of patients. Present review is focused on therapeutical potential of flavonoids in management of diabetes and diabetic complications. Plenteous literature has established significant potential of flavonoids in the treatment of diabetes and diabetic complications. A number of flavonoids are found to be effective in treatment of not only diabetes but progression of diabetic complication was also found to be attenuated with the use of flavonoids. Moreover, SAR studies of some flavonoids also indicated the that efficacy of flavonoids is increased with a change in functional group of flavonoids in the treatment of diabetes and diabetic complications. A number of clinical trials are into action to investigate the therapeutic potential of flavonoids as first-line drugs or as adjuvants for treatment of diabetes and diabetic complications.. Owing to their diverse mechanism of action, efficacy and safety, flavonoids may be conscripted as potential candidate for treatment of diabetic complications.

Abstract
Scientists have discovered many ways to treat bacteria, viruses, and parasites in aquaculture; however, there is still an impossibility in finding a permanent solution for all types of diseases. In that case, the CRISPR-Cas genome-editing technique can be the potential solution to preventing diseases for aquaculture sustainability. CRISPR-Cas is cheaper, easier, and more precise than the other existing genome-editing technologies and can be used as a new disease treatment tool to solve the far-reaching challenges in aquaculture. This technique may now be employed in novel ways, such as modifying a single nucleotide base or tagging a location in the DNA with a fluorescent protein. This review paper provides an informative discussion on adopting CRISPR technology in aquaculture disease management. Starting with the basic knowledge of CRISPR technology and phages, this study highlights the development of RNA-guided immunity to combat the Chilodonella protozoan group and nervous necrosis virus (NNV) in marine finfish. Additionally, we highlight the immunological application of CRISPR-Cas against bacterial diseases in channel catfish and the white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) in shrimp. In addition, the review summarizes a synthesis of bioinformatics tools used for CRISPR-Cas sgRNA design, and acceptable solutions are discussed, considering the limitations.

Abstract
MicroRNA (miRNA), a noncoding ribonucleic acid, is considered to be important for the progression of gene expression in plants and animals by rupture or translational repression of targeted mRNAs. Many types of miRNA regulate plant metabolism, growth, and response to biotic and abiotic factors. miRNA characterization helps to expose its function in regulating the process of post-transcriptional genetic regulation. There are a lot of factors associated with miRNA function, but the function of miRNA in the organic synthesis of by-products by natural products is not yet fully elucidated. The current review is aimed at observing and characterizing miRNAs and identifying those involved in the functioning of the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites in plants, with their use in controlled manipulation.

Recently, there has been a paradigm shift from conventional therapies to relatively safer phytotherapies. This divergence is crucial for the management of various chronic diseases. Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L.) is a popular vegetable crop with good nutritional significance, along with certain therapeutic values, which makes it a potential candidate in the use of a variety of nutraceuticals. Different parts of the okra fruit (mucilage, seed, and pods) contain certain important bioactive components, which confer its medicinal properties. The phytochemicals of okra have been studied for their potential therapeutic activities on various chronic diseases, such as type-2 diabetes, cardiovascular, and digestive diseases, as well as the antifatigue effect, liver detoxification, antibacterial, and chemo-preventive activities. Moreover, okra mucilage has been widely used in medicinal applications such as a plasma replacement or blood volume expanders. Overall, okra is considered to be an easily available, low-cost vegetable crop with various nutritional values and potential health benefits. Despite several reports about its therapeutic benefits and potential nutraceutical significance, there is a dearth of research on the pharmacokinetics and bioavailability of okra, which has hampered its widespread use in the nutraceutical industry. This review summarizes the available literature on the bioactive composition of okra and its potential nutraceutical significance. It will also provide a platform for further research on the pharmacokinetics and bioavailability of okra for its possible commercial production as a therapeutic agent against various chronic diseases.

Abstract
The development of new effective anti-coronavirus drugs and therapies is important, but it requires significant human, financial and, most importantly, time expenditures. The current pandemic is neither the first nor the last. Humanity has already accumulated considerable survival experience. We cannot do without prevention and epidemiological protection measures. This study reviews medicinal plants that grow in Northeast Asia and whose antioxidant, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory characteristics are already known, also in the framework of the prevention and treatment of pneumonia of various etiologies. The need for a comprehensive approach to maintaining immunodefences, including functional foods and positive emotions, is emphasized. In the period of pandemics, it is important to research various areas that allow to us accumulate a critical mass of information and cope with the next global disease.

Abstract
The recent epidemic outbreak of a novel human coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2 and causing the respiratory tract disease COVID-19 has reached worldwide resonance and a global effort is being undertaken to characterize the molecular features and evolutionary origins of this virus. Therefore, rapid and accurate identification of pathogenic viruses plays a vital role in selecting appropriate treatments, saving people's lives and preventing epidemics. Additionally, general treatments, coronavirus-specific treatments, and antiviral treatments useful in fighting COVID-19 are addressed. This review sets out to shed light on the SARS-CoV-2 and host receptor recognition, a crucial factor for successful virus infection and taking immune-informatics approaches to identify B- and T-cell epitopes for surface glycoprotein of SARS-CoV-2. A variety of improved or new approaches also have been developed. It is anticipated that this will assist researchers and clinicians in developing better techniques for timely and effective detection of coronavirus infection. Moreover, the genomic sequence of the virus responsible for COVID-19, as well as the experimentally determined three-dimensional structure of the Main protease (Mpro) is available. The reported structure of the target Mpro was described in this review to identify potential drugs for COVID-19 using virtual high throughput screening.
