Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aims to determine the correlation between e-health literacy, physiology, and health behaviors of older adults in Jiangsu to assess the factors influencing digital health in older adults. METHODS Data were collected through a 1:1 face-to-face survey conducted in hospitals and elderly communities from May 1 to June 14, 2024, using a structured questionnaire. In this study, the electronic health literacy questionnaire, the quality-of-life questionnaire, and the Anderson health behavior model were used. According to the collected data, the structural relationship between electronics and health literacy, physiological function, and health behavior of the elderly aged 60 years and above was confirmed, and the structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis was carried out. RESULTS E-health literacy significantly positively impacted physiological function (β = 0.916, p < 0.001), while physiological function showed a positive but non-significant association with health behaviors (β = 0.343, p = 0.091). The mediating role of physiological function between e-health literacy and health behaviors was confirmed (*indirect effect = 0.005, 95% CI: -0.010 to 0.125*). Pearson correlations revealed significant relationships: e-health literacy with physiological function (γ = 0.331, p < 0.001) and physiological function with health behaviors (γ = 0.146, p < 0.01). CONCLUSION In the era of big data and the aging society, it is necessary to strengthen publicity and guidance to improve the e-health literacy of older adults, especially those with poor physiological function. Explain the potential threats of some health information and ensure healthy digital aging through multi-stakeholder societal participation.

Abstract
AIM The study aims to determine the relationship between e-health literacy level and the care behaviour of neonatal nurses. BACKGROUND E-health literacy is becoming increasingly important, as health-related information can be obtained easily and quickly from electronic sources. DESIGN The study is a cross-sectional study. METHODS The sample of the study consists of 384 neonatal nurses working in different hospitals in Türkiye. An introductory form, the E-Health Literacy Scale (eHEALS), and the Care Behaviours Inventory-24 (CBI-24) were used for data collection. The data collection forms were created using Google Forms. RESULT eHEALS 4.32 ± 0.551, CBI-24 5.58 ± 0.567, CBS-24 sub-dimension: Assurance 5.58 ± 0.591, CBS-24 sub-dimension: Knowledge-Skills 5.64 ± 0.561, CBI-24 sub-dimension: Respect 5.56 ± 0.565, CBI-24 sub-dimension: Connectedness 5.52 ± 0.637 was found. It was determined that there was a very weak positive relationship between eHEALS, CBI-24 and sub-dimension scores (p < 0.001). A significant relationship was found between the eHEALS and the independent variables age, female, living in the Southeastern Anatolia region, working in a public hospital, using the internet for their profession, and CBI-24 sub-dimension: assurance (F = 6.111; p < 0.001). CONCLUSION(S) The relationship between e-health literacy and care behaviours of neonatal nurses was examined. Neonatal nurses' was found eHEALS, CBI-24, and sub-dimension scores had a high and very weak positive relationship. A significant relationship was found between the eHEALS level and age, female, Southeastern Anatolia region, state hospital, using the internet for their profession, and assurance sub-dimension. IMPACT Study determines the eHEALS of neonatal nurses and provides information about this field. Interventions aimed at eHEALS should be developed and implemented at both the institutional and individual levels. REPORTING STROBE, No Patient or Public Contribution.

Abstract
BACKGROUND E-health literacy is the skill of searching, finding, understanding, and evaluating health information from electronic information sources and using this information to diagnose or treat a health disorder. Adequate health literacy results informed decision-making, and reduced health risks. This study aims to investigate the relationship between eHealth literacy and health-promoting behaviors among students at Khalkhal University of Medical Sciences. METHOD This descriptive-analytical study was conducted with students who were selected using a census method. Three questionnaires were used: a demographic questionnaire, the Norman and Skinner eHealth literacy questionnaire, and the Walker Health-Promoting Lifestyle Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 26. Pearson correlation coefficients, independent t-tests, and analysis of variance were employed for comparisons. Multiple linear regression models were used to examine the relationship between eHealth literacy and health-promoting lifestyle, adjusting for some demographic variables. RESULTS A total of 255 participants were included in the study. The mean eHealth literacy score was 25.55 (SD = 6.4), and the mean health-promoting lifestyle score was 127.74 (SD = 23.59). There was a statistically significant difference in eHealth literacy scores based on economic status (P < 0.004). Pearson correlation analysis revealed a statistically significant correlation between the total eHealth literacy score and the health-promoting lifestyle score (r = 0.43, p < 0.001). According to the linear regression model, eHealth literacy significantly predicts health-promoting behaviors (β = 1.63, p < 0.001). Thus, each unit increase in eHealth literacy was associated with a 1.63 unit increase in the health-promoting lifestyle score. CONCLUSION The level of eHealth literacy and health-promoting lifestyle are both above moderate. Nevertheless, more work needs to be done to improve eHealth literacy, and health-related behaviors. It is recommended that new educational programs integrated into the curriculum for students including how to search the Internet, introduction to health-related databases, and a lesson on health-promoting behaviors.

Abstract
AIM Health literacy is considered as key factor to empower women to participate in self-care and child-care activities. The purpose of the present study is to determine the relationship between health-promoting behaviours and health literacy among pregnant women. DESIGN A cross-sectional study. METHODS This study surveyed 308 pregnant women in 2022 using questionnaires, including the Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile II (HPLP II) and the Health Literacy for Iranian Adults (HELIA). Descriptive and inferential statistics were employed to analyse the data by IBM SPSS 23.0 statistics package program. RESULTS The mean scores for women's health literacy and health-promoting behaviours were 70.31 ± 13.56 and 135.56 ± 17.38, respectively. The lowest score in the health literacy subscales was related to the appraisal (66.07 ± 17.81) and in the health-promoting lifestyle dimensions was associated with the physical activity dimension (13.87 ± 3.87). There was a significant and positive correlation between health literacy and health-promoting behaviours (r = 0.53, p < 0.001). Among the health literacy dimensions, decision-making showed the strongest correlation with health-promoting lifestyle (r = 0.55, p < 0.001). PATIENT OR PUBLIC CONTRIBUTION The results of this study demonstrated that pregnant women with higher health literacy scores exhibited a higher level of engagement in health-promoting behaviours. Assessing health-promoting behaviours in pregnant women by health providers during prenatal care helps identify dimensions receiving less attention during pregnancy, and solutions can be provided to women to address these issues.

Abstract
AIM To assess the behavioral correlates of health literacy (HL) among university students of health sciences in Kosovo, irrespective of their sociodemographic characteristics. METHODS This cross-sectional study, carried out in Kosovo in 2024, enrolled 470 students of health sciences from the universities of Prishtina and Gjakova (86% women; mean age: 20.7±2.7 years; response rate: 70%). We gathered HL data with the European Health Literacy Survey Questionnaire, as well as information on behavioral characteristics and sociodemographic factors. General linear model and binary logistic regression were used to assess the independent behavioral correlates of HL. RESULTS In multivariable-adjusted general linear models controlling for all sociodemographic factors and behavioral characteristics, lower HL scores were positively associated with alcohol consumption (36 vs 38 in non-drinkers, P=0.024), low levels of physical exercise (36 vs 39 among students with high level of physical activity, P<0.001), obesity (35 vs 39 among normal-weight individuals, P=0.011), and a poorer health status (36 vs 37 among students with a better self-rated health status, P=0.031). Furthermore, fully adjusted logistic regression models revealed a positive and strong relationship of "inadequate and/or problematic HL" (scores: 0-33) with physical inactivity (OR=7.6, 95%CI=1.8-31.9) and especially obesity (OR=21.4, 95%CI=3.8-119.8). CONCLUSIONS Students with low HL may be more likely to engage in behaviors detrimental to health. There is need to enhance HL among future health professionals.

Abstract
Background Poor sleep quality has emerged as a prevalent health issue among college students. This study aims to explore the mechanism of sleep quality among college students by constructing a moderated mediation model. Methods The Peer Support Scale, Physical Exercise Atmosphere Scale, eHealth Literacy Scale and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index were used to conduct a survey and analysis on 1,085 questionnaires, which were distributed among students from four universities in the northwest, northeast and central regions of China. Results (1) A significant pairwise correlation exists between peer support, physical exercise atmosphere, eHealth literacy and sleep quality (P < 0.001); (2) Physical exercise atmosphere plays a mediating role between peer support and sleep quality, with a mediating effect accounting for 28.08%; (3) eHealth literacy can significantly moderate the strength of the relationships between peer support and exercise atmosphere, between peer support and sleep quality, and between physical exercise atmosphere and sleep quality. This study revealed the relationship between peer support and sleep quality among college students and its influencing mechanism, and provided theoretical and practical basis for improving college students' sleep quality from the perspectives of peer support, physical exercise atmosphere, and eHealth literacy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The frequency of health-related information seeking on the internet and social media platforms has increased remarkably. Thus, the ability to understand and select accurate health-related information online, known as EHealth literacy, is crucial for the population. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate how eHealth literacy influences the critical analysis of oral health-related information obtained from the Internet and its influence on oral health-related behaviors. METHODS: A cross-sectional online study was conducted with 418 Brazilian adults who responded to the eHEALS questionnaire, with questions regarding the influence of online information on oral health decisions. Socioeconomic and demographic characteristics were also collected. RESULTS The mean eHEALS score was 27.85 (± 8.13), with a range spanning from 8 to 40 points. Participants with higher eHEALS scores reported using social media platforms to seek for dentists and to acque information about symptoms, diagnoses, and treatments. Furthermore, this group tended not to disregard professional health recommendations based on Internet information and abstained from utilizing products promoted by digital influencers. In multivariate models, increased eHEALS scores were associated with reduced consumption of products endorsed by digital influencers. CONCLUSIONS The findings from this study suggest that individuals with higher scores on the eHealth literacy questionnaire often conduct research on their health status and seek for health care providers on the Internet. Moreover, these individuals were less likely to be influenced by digital influencers.

Abstract
The US Department of Health and Human Services has defined health literacy (HL) as the degree to which individuals have the capacity to obtain, process, and understand basic health information and services needed to make appropriate health decisions. Structural and social determinants of health lead to low HL in approximately 36% of adults in the United States, where this condition is most prevalent in racial and ethnic minorities, economically disadvantaged communities, and immigrants with limited English proficiency. In turn, low HL can worsen asthma outcomes through direct effects (eg, nonadherence to or incorrect use of medications) and indirect effects (eg, an unhealthy diet leading to obesity, a risk factor for asthma morbidity). The purpose of this update is to examine evidence from studies on low HL and health and asthma outcomes published in the last 12 years, identify approaches to improve HL and reduce health disparities in asthma, and discuss future directions for research in this area under the conceptual framework of a socioecological model that illustrates the multifactorial and interconnected complexity of this public health issue at different levels.

Abstract
BACKGROUND eHealth literacy has many benefits for patients and community members, including the direct impact on improving the quality of patient education and reducing direct and indirect healthcare costs. Benefiting from eHealth literacy in patients with cardiovascular diseases can effectively provide healthcare services and manage these patients. This study aimed to evaluate eHealth literacy level and its factors affecting patients with cardiovascular diseases in a Heart Center Hospital. MATERIALS AND METHODS This cross-sectional study was conducted in 2022. A valid and reliable questionnaire has been used for data gathering. From 147 distributed questionnaires among patients with cardiovascular diseases at Madani Heart Center Hospital in Khorramabad city, finally, 86 questionnaires have been collected completely. Data analyses were done using IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 22 descriptive and analytical tests such as one-way ANOVA, independent sample t-test, and Spearman correlation coefficient based on the study objectives. RESULTS The study showed that heart patients' eHealth literacy status is moderate (3.38 out of 5). The awareness of the availability of resources on the Internet had the highest score (3.79). The importance of using the Internet to obtain health information (r = 0.62, P < 0.001) and the ability to use the Internet (r = 0.62, P < 0.001) had the most significant relationship with eHealth literacy among patients with cardiovascular diseases. CONCLUSION It is suggested that by increasing the level of Internet skills, expanding the use of the Internet for health-related services, using the Internet to make accurate health decisions among patients, extending the use of the Internet to access health resources, and reducing the patient's level of concern about their health status to improve the level of eHealth literacy of cardiovascular patients.

Abstract
Objective Communities' use of technology and the internet for online health information (OHI) is increasing exponentially. An understanding of how and why individuals access OHI, and how this information influences decisions on health, medicines and self-care practices is critical. This review aims to: (1) identify the factors influencing OHI-seeking behaviour; (2) evaluate the evidence of OHI on self-care practices; and (3) outline strategies to improve online informed decision-making and assess the impact of these strategies on consumer outcomes. Methods A review of systematic reviews was conducted in November of 2023, following the Cochrane Handbook and PRISMA guidelines, and using PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science and EBSCOhost databases. The methodological quality of retrieved reviews was appraised using the AMSTAR 2 tool. Results The search retrieved 1725 records. Of these, 943 were screened, and 33 were included in the final analysis. The most frequently identified reasons for seeking OHI were to retrieve diagnostic and treatment information, and well-being and emotional support. Level of education and socio-economic status influenced OHI-seeking. OHI directly influenced self-care decision-making by individuals and their relationships and communication with healthcare providers. Overall, OHI-seeking (and interventions to promote the use of OHI) enhanced individuals' confidence, skills and knowledge. Conclusions The findings highlight the benefits of OHI-seeking and its potential influence on self-care decisions. Future research should focus on strategies that would promote the pursuit of high-quality, up-to-date OHI and on the development of interventions for healthcare professionals to improve patients' use of OHI in self-care and self-efficacy.

Abstract
Background Adequate eHealth literacy and health promotion behavior (HPB) are important to achieve good health-related quality of life. There is limited information on the influence of eHealth literacy and HPB on body mass index (BMI) in our setting and among public service workers. Objectives This study assessed the eHealth literacy, HPB, and BMI of public service workers and determined the influence of eHealth literacy and HPB on BMI. Design A descriptive cross-sectional design was adopted. Methods A simple random sampling technique was used to select 440 public service workers from civil service of redacted. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data on socio-demographics, eHealth literacy, and HPB. Weight and height were measured and BMI was calculated. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and logistic regression analysis. The significant level was set at 0.05. Results More than one quarter (28.2%) of respondents had low eHealth literacy, and more than one third (42.5%) had inadequate (30.0% fair and 12.5% poor) HPB. An average (50.5%) had a level of obesity that ranged from preobesity to type 2 obesity. There was a significant association between eHealth literacy and HPB with the BMI of respondents at p < .05. Conclusion There was inadequate eHealth literacy and HPB among public service workers. An average of the workers had a level of obesity that ranged from pre-obesity to type 2 obesity. There was a significant association between eHealth literacy and BMI and also between HPB and BMI of respondents. Community health professionals should assist public service workers to develop competencies and skills useful in evaluating health information on the Internet and applying such information to make informed decisions.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Health literacy and eHealth literacy play a crucial role in improving a community's ability to take care of themselves, ultimately leading to a reduction in disparities in health. Embracing a healthy way of living is vital in lessening the impact of illnesses and extending one's lifespan. This research delves into the link between the health and eHealth literacy levels of individuals accessing primary healthcare services and investigates how this relates to adopting a health-conscious lifestyle. METHODS The approach involves a cross-sectional examination carried out at a healthcare facility in the Madrid region of Spain, focusing on adult patients who are in need of primary care nursing services. Health and eHealth literacy and a healthy lifestyle were measured using the Health Literacy Questionnaire (HLQ), the eHealth Literacy Questionnaire (eHLQ), and the "PA100" questionnaire, respectively. RESULTS Only some of the dimensions of the HLQ and eHLQ were significantly related to a healthy lifestyle, predominantly with a very low or low relationship. Dimension three of the HLQ and dimension five of the eHLQ acquired more importance and were positioned as positive predictors of a healthy lifestyle. CONCLUSIONS This study helps comprehend the relationship between health and eHealth literacy and a healthy lifestyle, which provides information that contributes to understanding the factors that might have a higher impact on lifestyles.

Abstract
Objective To assess the factors influencing the self-care behavior among nursing students with dysmenorrhea. Background The practice of self-care behavior for dysmenorrhea has gradually attracted immense attention from society; however, thus far, only a few studies have been conducted to predict this behavior and analyze the associated factors by creating a structural equation model. Methods A cross-sectional multistage cluster sampling study was conducted among nursing students within six universities in Shaanxi province, China. A model was constructed, and structured questionnaires were adopted to measure model variables, including e-health literacy, negative emotion, self-efficacy, self-care agency, degree of dysmenorrhea, and self-care behavior for dysmenorrhea. Descriptive data analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0 software, and AMOS 23.0 was used to verify and analyze the structural model. Results In total, 1851 valid questionnaires were collected; the effective recovery rate was 93.15%, and the prevalence of dysmenorrhea was 64.51%. e-Health literacy (B = 0.171, P < 0.001), self-efficacy (B = 0.416, P < 0.001), self-care agency (B = 1.177, P < 0.001), and degree of dysmenorrhea (B = 0.310, P < 0.001) significantly influenced self-care behavior for dysmenorrhea. The total, direct, and indirect effects of e-health literacy and self-efficacy on self-care behavior for dysmenorrhea were 0.158 and 0.492, 0.128 and 0.248, and 0.030 and 0.244, respectively. Conclusion The self-care behavior for dysmenorrhea is affected by several factors and self-efficacy has the greatest effect on it. To promote girls to actively implement self-care behavior for dysmenorrhea, educators should strengthen the training of self-efficacy and self-care agency of the nursing students to alleviate the uncomfortable experience brought by dysmenorrhea and decrease the harm of dysmenorrhea. Implications for Nursing Management. Nursing managers should work with constant efforts to explore and optimize the management model for dysmenorrhea, encouraging young women to actively engage in self-care behavior for dysmenorrhea, to alleviate the discomfort experienced by individuals and improve women's overall health.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to clarify the relationship between eHealth literacy, diabetic behavior rating, and caregiving burden among caregivers of children with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM). METHODS A questionnaire-based cross-sectional study of 143 primary caregivers of T1DM was conducted. Electronic health literacy was quantified using the Chinese version of the eHealth Literacy Scale (eHEALS). Their diabetic management behavior rating and caregiving burden were measured by Diabetes Behavior Rating Scale-Parent Version (DBRS-P) and Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI), respectively. Pearson correlation analysis was used to estimate the relationship between the above variables. RESULTS Only 54 (37.76%) caregivers qualified by eHEALS scale, with a total score of 30.07 ± 4.54 out of 40. A positive correlation between DRBS-P scores and the scores of eHEALS (Pearson correlation coefficient r = 0.226, P = 0.007) and a negative correlation between ZBI and eHEALS scores (r = -0.166, P = 0.047) were observed. CONCLUSIONS The eHealth literacy level of caregivers of children with T1DM in China remains to be improved. Caregivers with higher eHealth literacy had better diabetic management behaviors and less caregiving burden. IMPLICATIONS TO PRACTICE This study suggests that hierarchical electronic health-based interventions should be designed according to the different levels of eHealth literacy of individuals, to enhance the ability of caregivers with different eHealth literacy levels to fully utilize eHealth resources to improve their daily disease management skills and reduce their burden when caring for T1DM children. In addition, improving eHealth literacy of caregivers for children with T1DM can be one of the important ways to enhance the effectiveness of electronic health-based programs designed for them.

Abstract
BACKGROUND eHealth has shown many benefits in health promotion and disease prevention. For engaging in and taking advantage of eHealth, eHealth literacy is essential. This systematic review aims to summarise and examine the existing evidence on determinants and outcomes of eHealth literacy in healthy adults. METHODS We searched the relevant peer-reviewed articles published in English in six databases: MEDLINE, EMBASE, PsycINFO, CINAHL, Cochrane Library and ProQuest. The inclusion criteria of the review were: 1) studies examining 'eHealth literacy', which refers to the ability to search, select, judge and apply online health information to address or solve health problems and to improve wellbeing; 2) the type of study included observational and experimental studies, mixed method studies or qualitative studies; 3) the participants were healthy adults; 4) the main outcomes were the determinants (i.e. influencing or associated factors) and outcomes (i.e. benefits and disadvantages) of eHealth literacy. Articles were assessed by two reviewers using the Joanna Briggs Institute critical appraisal tool. A conceptual model to map the determinants and outcomes of eHealth literacy in healthy adults into the non-modifiable, individual, social and community networks and structural layers was developed to classify the identified determinants and outcomes. RESULTS Forty-four studies were included in this review, of which 43 studies were cross-sectional and one was qualitative. eHealth literacy determinants included age, sex, literacy factors, socioeconomic factors and language. eHealth literacy outcomes included better general health promotion behavior, COVID-19 preventive behaviors, psychological wellbeing, social support, self-rated health and health service utilisation. CONCLUSIONS Our results showed that eHealth literacy has multi-layered determinants and positive outcomes. Different strategies at different policy levels are needed to improve the eHealth literacy levels of healthy adults.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The importance of health literacy in achieving optimum health is highly significant, particularly in the nursing profession where it is an integral part of the roles and functions of nurses. Therefore, this scoping review aims to describe the roles of nurses in promoting patient health literacy and identify the determinant factors of health literacy in nursing practices. METHODS An integrative search was conducted through four databases, namely, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, SAGE Journal, and PubMed, using various keyword combinations such as "health literacy," "health information," "patient health literacy," "patient literacy," and "nurses." Furthermore, the inclusion criteria employed were peer-reviewed articles focused on the nursing profession, explicitly discussing health literacy related to nursing, and including original studies, such as cross-sectional, quasi-experimental, and qualitative studies. The selected review articles were all published between 2017 and 2022. RESULTS In total, 13 articles met the criteria and were applied in this scoping review. Most of these discuss health literacy related to nursing practice in clinical and community settings, as well as educational institutions. Health literacy is an essential aspect of professional nursing practice. Consequently, the supportive roles of nurses include acting as caregivers, facilitators, and educators to help patients overcome their literacy limitations and attain improved wellbeing. CONCLUSION Nurses can improve the health literacy skills of patients by making health information related to their illnesses easier to access, understand, evaluate, and use. They must also recognize various factors influencing health literacy and use the factors as opportunities to optimize health literacy improvement. A health literacy approach can be applied by nurses to solve health problems and improve the quality of care for patients.

Abstract
Background Nursing professionals have a crucial role in promoting health literacy in health services, so it is necessary to ensure health literacy skills in future health professionals. Objective The objective of the study was to examine the health literacy of nursing students and its associated factors. Methods A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out on 460 nursing students. For data collection, a semi-structured questionnaire was obtained on sociodemographic characteristics, perception and health care, use of the health system and lifestyles. In addition, health literacy was assessed using the European Health Literacy Questionnaire. Results 6.1% of the participants had an inadequate level of health literacy and 36.5% problematic. The probability of having sufficient health literacy is directly associated with age; and inversely with smoking, prolonged screen time and living alone (p < 0.05). Conclusion A large percentage of nursing students need to improve their health literacy skills. It is necessary to integrate a greater number of contents in health literacy in the curriculum of nursing students.

Abstract
AIM The current study sought to assess the perceptions of eHealth technology of nurses and nursing students in China and to examine the association between these perceptions and demographic factors. BACKGROUND Despite the increasing use of eHealth technologies in China and across the globe, the perceptions of practicing and student nurses remain minimally explored. Findings from such an inquiry can potentially inform actions and policies to improve the uptake of eHealth technologies among Chinese nurses. DESIGN This was a cross-sectional study with a real-time online survey. METHODS A convenience sample of 1338 nurses and nursing students from Mainland China participated in the study. Their perceptions of eHealth technology were collected using the Chinese version of the Perceptions of eHealth Technology Scale. The Kruskal-Wallis test and multiple linear regression analysis were used to examine the relationship between demographic variables (age group, gender, occupation, education level, position and clinical experience) and perceptions of eHealth technology. All study procedures adhered to the STROBE guidelines. RESULTS Most participants were aged between 20 and 29 (55.8%). Nearly half (42.5%) were frontline clinical nursing staff, some were nursing students (36.2%), academic nursing staff (12.3%) and clinical nursing management staff (9.0%). Regardless of the differences in their demographic characteristics, the participants had higher mean scores in "Perception of eHealth applications" and lower mean scores in "Knowledge of eHealth technology". Participants with doctoral degree had a higher mean total score and higher sub-scale scores in knowledge of eHealth technology, perception of the advantages of eHealth technology and perception of eHealth applications; and the lowest scores in perception of the disadvantages of eHealth technology and perception of eHealth applications. Occupation, position and clinical experience were found to be the demographic characteristics associated with eHealth perceptions, before adjusting for age and gender. Education level was associated with eHealth perceptions regardless of adjustment. CONCLUSION Overall, participants had higher scores on perceptions of eHealth applications but lower scores on knowledge of eHealth technology. Considering the association between education and all subscales and overall scores, it may be essential to implement continuing professional education for nurses to improve their knowledge of eHealth applications. Encouragement to use available eHealth digital technologies may also be helpful to improve perceptions of eHealth.

Abstract
Background In this study, our aim was to quantify eHealth literacy and determine a cut-off value for eHEALS scores that signifies adequate eHealth literacy among rural residents in Gansu, China. Methods This cross-sectional investigation encompassed 18 rural areas across three cities-Lanzhou, Wuwei, and Dingxi-in Gansu. A total of 451 residents were recruited and underwent evaluations for both eHealth literacy and eHealth skills, utilizing the eHEALS and self-constructed tasks, respectively. A receiving operator characteristic curve was plotted with eHealth skills as the dependent variable and eHealth literacy levels as the independent variable, aiming to determine a cut-off value for eHEALS indicating adequate eHealth literacy and evaluate its predictive capacity. Results Among the 451 respondents, 10.9% did not possess a personal electronic device with Internet access, while 6.4% owned but had never used them. Within the remaining 373 residents, the mean eHealth literacy score was 25.85 (SD:10.93), item scores ranged from 3.12 (SD:1.45) to 3.42 (SD:1.60). Completion rates for three eHealth skills varied from 39.1% to 59.8%. The cut-off value was 29.5 determined by the Youden index. The area under the receiver operating curve was 0.829, with a sensitivity of 86.7%, and a specificity of 66.8%. Conclusions Our findings emphasized that eHealth literacy among rural residents remains at a low level. Moreover, we identified a cut-off value of 29.5 for eHEALS scores that signifies adequate eHealth literacy within this demographic.

Abstract
Aim The present study aimed to evaluate the predictive role of the Health Belief Model (HBM) constructs and health literacy (HL) in shaping the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) preventive health behaviors (PHBs) among adolescents. Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted with 503 adolescent girls and boys, randomly selected via cluster sampling. For this purpose, the data were collected online through four research tools, including the demographic-clinical characteristics information questionnaire, the COVID-19 PHB Scale based on HBM, and the Health Literacy Scale for COVID-19. The data analysis was then performed by regression analysis along with the structural equation modeling (SEM), considering the significance level of 0.05. Results The regression analysis results demonstrated that following the one-unit increase in the values of self-efficacy and cues to action, the COVID-19 PHBs elevated by 0.063 and 0.078 units, respectively. In addition, the COVID-19 PHBs subsided by 0.018 with the rise in the value of perceived barriers (P < 0.001). According to the path analysis, the direct path from the COVID-19-related HL to the COVID-19 PHBs (B = 0.097, β = 0.087, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 0.005 to 0.189) was significant. Furthermore, the indirect path from the COVID-19-related HL to the COVID-19 PHBs through perceived susceptibility (B = 0.017, β = 0.015, 95% CI = 0.001 to 0.032), perceived barriers (B = 0.029, β = 0.026, 95% CI = 0.004 to 0.055), self-efficacy (B = 0.094, β = 0.084, 95% CI = 0.031 to 0.156), and cues to action (B = 0.153, β = 0.137, 95% CI = 0.092 to 0.215) was significant. Conclusion In keeping with the study results, it is essential to take some effective measures to boost the HBM constructs and HL among adolescents to improve their PHBs during pandemics such as COVID-19.

Abstract
Health self-management is important for healthcare undergraduates who are at the late adolescent or early adulthood stage, and will play an important part in health promotion for the general population. Previous research has shown that perceived health status affects health self-management. However, few studies have uncovered the mechanism between self-rated health and health self-management among healthcare undergraduates. Based on social ecology theory and Pender's health promotion model, this study aimed to explore the associations between health self-management ability, self-rated health, eHealth literacy and resistance to peer influence of healthcare undergraduates, with a focus on identifying the mediating effects of eHealth literacy and resistance to peer influence. A cross-sectional study was conducted among 515 healthcare undergraduates in Eastern China between July and September 2021. Serial mediation analysis was performed using Haye's Model 6 PROCESS macro to examine the mediating effects. The study found that health self-management ability was significantly and positively correlated with eHealth literacy, resistance to peer influence and self-rated health. Self-rated health had a direct and positive predictive effect on health self-management, with a direct effect value of 0.654. eHealth literacy and resistance to peer influence played both an independent mediating and a chain-mediating role in the mechanism of self-rated health affecting health self-management among healthcare undergraduates, with indirect effect values of 0.085, 0.101, and 0.013, respectively. The results suggest that eHealth literacy and resistance to peer influence could be intervention targets in programs for improving these students' health self-management ability.

Abstract
Background The main criteria of health determinants are Health Promoting Behaviors (HPBs) and Health Literacy (HL). This study aimed to assess HL and HPBs among the urban population of adults. Methods This study was conducted as a cross-sectional study with 379 adults in Iran. The inclusion criteria was that participants were randomly selected from health centers using health records. Data were collected by demographic information questionnaire, Health Literacy for Iranian Adults (HELIA) and Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile II (HPLP-II). Descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, and Pearson's r correlation coefficient were used to analyze the data. Also, the hierarchical regression analysis was used to adjust for confounders. Results There was a significant association between HL and demographic factors, including age, gender and education level. HL dimensions were significantly correlated with HPBs of adults (p <0.05). Decision-making was the strongest HL dimension to predictive HPBs (β=0.606). In this study, 49.7% of the variation in HPBs is predicted by the HL, and the demographic characteristics. Conclusions It can be advantageous to design programs to promote HL and HPBs in adults, focusing on the aging group, gender, and education level.

Abstract
Background The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on health care systems and governments worldwide. Although eHealth literacy is acknowledged as a critical component of public health, it was overlooked during the pandemic. To assist patients and their families, health professionals should be knowledgeable about online health information resources and capable of evaluating relevant online information. In a resource-constrained situation, the level of eHealth literacy among health professionals is not well documented. Objective The aim of this study was to assess the eHealth literacy level and its associated factors among health professionals working in Amhara regional state teaching hospitals, Ethiopia. Methods A self-administered questionnaire was used in an institutional-based cross-sectional study design. Descriptive statistics were calculated to describe eHealth literacy statements and key variables using SPSS v.24. Bivariable and multivariable logistic regression models were fit to identify factors related to eHealth literacy. Variables with P<.05 were declared to be statistically significant predictors. Results A total of 383 participants completed and returned the questionnaire with a response rate of 90.5%. Health professionals demonstrated a moderate level of eHealth literacy (mean 29.21). Most of the professionals were aware of the available health resources located on the internet, and know how to search and locate these resources. However, they lack the ability to distinguish high-quality health resources from low-quality resources. Factors that were significantly associated with eHealth literacy were computer access, computer knowledge, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness of eHealth information resources. Conclusions It is crucial to provide training and support to health care workers on how to find, interpret, and, most importantly, evaluate the quality of health information found on the internet to improve their eHealth literacy level. Further research is needed to explore the role of eHealth literacy in mitigating pandemics in developing countries.

Abstract
Objectives This study aimed to explore the longitudinal associations between eHealth literacy, health-promoting lifestyles, and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) among college students. Methods From December 2019 (T1) to December 2020 (T2), we administered the eHealth literacy scale, Short-Form Health Survey (SF-12), and Short-Form Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile Scale to 1,181 college students in Jinan, China. Participants were recruited for 12 months for the two-stage survey. Results Stable positive correlations were shown between eHealth literacy, health-promoting lifestyles, and HRQoL across time. The cross-lagged analysis showed that eHealth literacy at T1 predicted health-promoting lifestyles at T2 (β = 0.080, P = 0.006); however, health-promoting lifestyles at T1 did not predict eHealth literacy at T2 (β = −0.026, P = 0.499). HRQoL at T1 predicted health-promoting lifestyles at T2 (β = 0.147, P < 0.001); however, similar to the eHealth literacy finding, health-promoting lifestyles at T1 did not predict HRQoL at T2 (β = 0.045, P = 0.142). eHealth literacy was also bi-directionally associated with HRQoL, and the prediction effect of eHealth literacy at T1 to HRQoL at T2 (β = 0.078, P = 0.008) was slightly higher than the prediction effect of HRQoL at T1 to eHealth literacy at T2 (β = 0.074, P = 0.023). Conclusion eHealth literacy and HRQoL may be antecedents for college students' health-promoting lifestyles. There may be significant bi-directional relationships between eHealth literacy and HRQoL.

Abstract
Background: The infodemic has been co-existing with the COVID-19 pandemic with an influx of misinformation and conspiracy theories. These affect people’s psychological health and adherence to preventive measures. eHealth literacy (eHEALS) may help with alleviating the negative effects of the infodemic. As nursing students are future healthcare professionals, having adequate eHEALS skills is critically important in their clinical practice, safety, and health. This study aimed to (1) explore the eHEALS level and its associated factors, and (2) examine the associations of eHEALS with preventive behaviors, fear of COVID-19 (FCV-19S), anxiety, and depression among nursing students. Methods: We surveyed 1851 nursing students from 7 April to 31 May 2020 from eight universities across Vietnam. Data were collected, including demographic characteristics, eHEALS, adherence to preventive behaviors (handwashing, mask-wearing, physical distancing), FCV-19S, anxiety, and depression. Linear and logistic regression analyses were performed appropriately to examine associations. Results: The mean score of eHEALS was 31.4 ± 4.4. The eHEALS score was significantly higher in males (unstandardized regression coefficient, B, 0.94; 95% confidence interval, 95% CI, 0.15 to 1.73; p = 0.019), and students with a better ability to pay for medication (B, 0.79; 95% CI, 0.39 to 1.19; p < 0.001), as compared to their counterparts. Nursing students with a higher eHEALS score had a higher likelihood of adhering to hand-washing (odds ratio, OR, 1.18; 95% CI, 1.15 to 1.22; p < 0.001), mask-wearing (OR, 1.15; 95% CI, 1.12 to 1.19; p < 0.001), keeping a safe physical distance (OR, 1.20; 95% CI, 1.15 to 1.25; p < 0.001), and had a lower anxiety likelihood (OR, 0.95; 95% CI, 0.92 to 0.99; p = 0.011). Conclusions: Nursing students who were men and with better ability to pay for medication had higher eHEALS scores. Those with higher eHEALS scores had better adherence to preventive measures, and better psychological health. The development of strategies to improve eHEALS of nursing students may contribute to COVID-19 containment and improve their psychological health.

Abstract
PURPOSE The health literacy concerned by numerous policy and advocacy organizations is springing up rapidly and has evolved substantially over the past few decades. During the period of COVID-19, people who are in the absence of effective treatment and limited availability of vaccination need a higher health literacy to protective themselves. In order to provide a summary of the health literacy research, a visualized and Scientometric analysis is applied in this study. METHODS Based on a scientific review of 3,670 data on health literacy from Web of Science, this research uses Citespace software to systematically and objectively describe health literacy to determine the knowledge evolution structure between articles and investigate research trends. RESULTS The results show that the annual outputs of publications have grown rapidly since 2003. The USA and Australia make larger contributions compared with other countries in terms of quantity of publications and worldwide collaboration relationship between them. The "Soc Sci Med," "J Health Commun." "Patient Educ Couns" and "J Gen Intern Med" pay more attention to health literacy research. The leading authors with influence and authority are Wolf MS, Osborne RH, and Paasche-Orlow MK. Health literacy research in this field focuses on care, knowledge, and education, and so on. An emerging trend of health literacy with Covid-19, online tools, nursing, and obesity will spread across the globe. CONCLUSION Compared with simply reviewing existing articles, the major contribution in this study is a comprehensive review of yearly scientific output, journals, countries, institutions, contributors, highly cited papers, and keywords for health literacy research. The review also provides valuable and seminal guidelines for interested researchers on health literacy research.

Abstract
College students experience new pressures and choices as they transition to independent living and can easily develop unhealthy eating habits, resulting in obesity and obesity-related chronic diseases in later life. This study aimed to test the hypothesis that nutrition literacy (NL) mediated the relationship between multi-level factors influencing healthy eating behavior identified from the social-ecological model and healthy eating behavior of college students. A four-part questionnaire was completed by 412 participants recruited from six different four-year universities in Taiwan (effective response rate = 85.8%). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, an independent samples t-test, hierarchical multiple regression, and mediation analysis. The results indicated that the students’ mean nutrition literacy score was 4.32 (SD = 0.78, range = 1–6). In the social-ecological framework, nutrition literacy significantly predicted healthy eating behavior (β = 0.28, p < 0.001; ΔF = 32.54, p < 0.001; ΔR2 = 0.05) with control variables of background, intrapersonal, interpersonal, environmental, and macrosystem factors. Nutrition literacy mediated the effects of seven factors on healthy eating behavior across four levels. These findings suggested that strengthening influential multi-level factors associated with healthy eating behavior not only enhanced NL, but also improved individuals’ healthy eating behavior.
