Abstract
INTRODUCTION Folliculotropic mycosis fungoides (FMF) is a distinctive variant of mycosis fungoides (MF). FMF has worse clinical outcome when compared to the MF and commonly used skin-based therapy may be refractory. The aim of this study is to give a systematic review of dermoscopic and trichoscopic findings in FMF and to summarize current knowledge on usefulness of dermoscopy in patients with FMF. EVIDENCE ACQUISITION A search of the literature was performed using the electronic database PubMed by selecting the words "dermoscopy," "dermatoscopy," "trichoscopy," and "follicular mycosis fungoides." EVIDENCE SYNTHESIS After exclusion criteria, 10 articles in total were included in this review. Among 10 selected articles, a total number of 59 patients were included, and total of 23 dermoscopic features were described. Only seven of 23 dermoscopic features were present in over half of the patients (over 30 in total number of 59 patients). Among obtained results, only five dermoscopic features were found in more than 70% of the patients; but none of these were described in majority of the patients. Among these published papers, the dermoscopic features of cutaneous lymphomas were correlated with the histopathology. CONCLUSIONS After reviewing all these papers we can conclude that dermoscopic features related to the pathology found in follicle, although characteristic, are not pathognomonic when it comes to diagnosing FMF. A finding of multiple characteristic dermoscopic features is required to indicate a diagnosis of FMF but in the corresponding clinical context. In some cases, dermoscopy can be used as a useful tool for determining optimal biopsy site with the potential of increasing specificity of pathohistological diagnosis which is crucial because of choice of the therapeutic approach having in mind that FMF is more refractory to the conventional treatment of MF.

Abstract
Mycosis fungoides (MF) is the most common type of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma that is difficult to be differentiated from other dermatological diseases. Dermoscopy is an easy and non-invasive office procedure that is widely used nowadays in the diagnosis of a wide variety of skin diseases. This prospective study aimed to describe and to differentiate the dermoscopic pattern of different stages and to compare the dermoscopic features observed in different clinical types of mycosis fungoides. Dermoscopic examination of different skin lesions was performed by two independent examiners and dermoscopic images of lesions were taken to detect the different morphologic criteria. The diagnosis was confirmed histopathologically and immunohistochemically in all cases. A total of 53 mycosis fungoides patients with different clinical types were evaluated. Mycosis fungoides lesions exhibited a characteristic dermoscopic pattern with the predominance of the linear configuration of blood vessels in the form of fine short linear vessels, spermatozoa-like vessels and thick linear blood vessels rather than dotted vessels. In addition, the geometric white scales were more evident than the lamellar scales with a high prevalence of white structureless patches (67.9%). The linear blood vessels and brownish pigmentary changes in this study could be suggestive of early stage mycosis fungoides. On the other hand, the dotted blood vessels, purpuric dots, white and whitish pink structureless patches, and ulcerations could be suggestive of advanced MF skin lesions. Other findings like geometric white scales and orange-yellowish structureless areas were not specific to differentiate between different MF stages. The study observations indicate that early MF lesions exhibit a characteristic dermoscopic pattern which is different from late MF lesions. Dermoscopy is an easy and rapid tool that could aid in the early diagnosis of mycosis fungoides to improve the outcome in these patients.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Rosettes are a cluster of shiny white dots in the shape of a four-leaf clover seen under polarized dermoscopic light. Historically, rosettes were primarily reported in actinic keratoses and squamous cell carcinoma. However, rosettes have also been reported in other conditions. OBJECTIVES The objective of this systematic review to elucidate the breadth of diagnoses exhibiting this unique dermoscopic phenomenon. METHODS A review was conducted following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. Literature searches were performed in MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials and Web of Science, as well as a manual search of the reference lists of screened articles. RESULTS A total of 73 articles met the inclusion criteria. Out of these, 47 distinct diagnoses with rosette were identified. Among neoplastic conditions, keratinizing neoplasms had the highest number of articles reported (N = 19). Discoid lupus was the most commonly reported diagnosis within the inflammatory category (N = 6). Molluscum contagiosum was the predominant diagnosis among infectious entities (N = 3), while acroangiodermatitis was the sole diagnosis reported in the vascular category (N = 1). CONCLUSIONS These findings confirm rosettes are not specific to keratinocytic growths and are observed in a wide range of conditions. Knowledge of the breadth of conditions with rosettes may aid clinicians when developing a differential diagnosis of a growth or an eruption with rosettes under dermoscopy.

Abstract
Subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (SCLE) is a condition that might pose a diagnostic challenge. The aim of this study was to assess the usefulness of videodermoscopy in the differentiation of SCLE from other erythematous-desquamative dermatoses. Consecutive patients with SCLE (n = 27), psoriasis (n = 36), nummular eczema (n = 30), mycosis fungoides (n = 26), and pityriasis rosea (n = 20) referred to our Department of Dermatology were recruited for this study. A representative lesion was visualized using a Canfield D200EVO Videodermatoscope (Canfield Scientific GmbH, Bielefeld, Germany) and evaluated for the following parameters: vessels (morphology and distribution), scales (color and distribution), follicular findings, colors and morphologies, and presence of specific clues. SCLE was predominantly characterized by a polymorphous vascular pattern (92.6%) of unspecific distribution (92.6%) over a pink-red background (74.1%). Gray-brown dots were present in 10 (37.0%) cases, and pigmentation was noted in 15 (55.6%) patients, including peripheral pigmentation in 7 (25.9%) patients. Videodermoscopic evaluation showed significant differences between SCLE and psoriasis, which was characterized by regularly distributed dotted vessels. Although some common dermoscopic features with MF were noted, the presence of yellow structureless areas and red dots/globules favored the diagnosis of MF. In conclusion, a polymorphic vascular pattern, especially in association with gray-brown dots and/or peripheral pigmentation, is a valuable clue for the differentiation of SCLE from other erythematous-desquamative dermatoses.

Abstract
This narrative review presents a comprehensive overview of the diagnosis and management of pityriasis versicolor (PV), a common superficial fungal infection caused by the yeast Malassezia. PV is characterised by scaly hypopigmented or hyperpigmented patches, primarily affecting the upper trunk, neck, and upper arms. Regarding commensal interactions, Malassezia utilises nutrient sources without affecting the human host. In cases of pathogenicity, Malassezia can directly harm the host via virulence factors or toxins, or indirectly by triggering damaging host responses. The diagnosis typically relies on recognising characteristic clinical features. Due to the wide variability in its clinical presentation, recognising the differential diagnosis is critical. In this paper, we discuss the clinical differentials, with their dermatoscopic presentation, but also describe a range of helpful diagnostic techniques (microscopy, conventional and ultraviolet-induced fluorescence dermatoscopy, and confocal microscopy). Topical therapies are the primary treatment for PV, encompassing non-specific antifungal agents like sulphur with salicylic acid, selenium sulphide 2.5%, and zinc pyrithione. Additionally, specific topical antifungal medications with either fungicidal or fungistatic properties may also be incorporated into the topical treatment regimen, such as imidazoles, allylamines, and ciclopirox olamine. Systemic therapies might occasionally be used. Patient education and the promotion of good personal hygiene are pivotal to reduce the risk of recurrence. In recurrent cases, particularly during warmer and more humid periods, prolonged prophylaxis with topical agents should be considered.

Abstract
Over the last few decades, dermoscopy has been showed to facilitate the non-invasive diagnosis of both benign and malignant skin tumors, yet literature data mainly comes from studies on light photo-types. However, there is growing evidence that skin neoplasms may benefit from dermoscopic assessment even for skin of color. This systematic literature review evaluated published data in dark-skinned patients (dermoscopic features, used setting, pathological correlation, and level of evidence of studies), also providing a standardized and homogeneous terminology for reported dermoscopic findings. A total of 20 articles describing 46 different tumors (four melanocytic neoplasms, eight keratinocytic tumors, 15 adnexal cutaneous neoplasms, seven vascular tumors, four connective tissue tumors, and eight cystic neoplasms/others) for a total of 1724 instances were included in the analysis. Most of them showed a level of evidence of V (12 single case reports and six case series), with only two studies featuring a level of evidence of IV (case-control analysis). Additionally, this review also underlined that some neoplasms and phototypes are underrepresented in published analyses as they included only small samples and mainly certain tones of "dark skin" spectrum (especially phototype IV). Therefore, further studies considering such limitations are required for a better characterization.

Abstract
Skin cancer is often associated with greater morbidity and mortality in skin of color patients because most medical literature and research on skin cancer to date has been predominantly focused on lighter skin types. It is crucial that dermatologic providers be able to recognize different presentations of skin cancer in skin of color patients to optimize the early detection of these tumors and ensure equitable outcomes. This article details the epidemiology, risk factors, clinical features, and disparities in the treatment of melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, and mycosis fungoides subtype of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma in skin of color patients.

Abstract
Lichen sclerosus (LS) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease commonly affecting the anogenital area with less frequent extragenital occurrence. Extragenital LS cutaneous manifestations vary and precipitating factors are not well described. Recent evidence for etiology and clinical associations of extragenital LS provide insight into disease recognition and pathogenesis. Novel diagnostic techniques as well as treatment standardization have the potential to improve management of this rare condition. This review details both past and new insights into the pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, and treatment options of extragenital LS.

Abstract
This review describes and highlights differences in clinical presentations of cutaneous lymphomas (CLs), particularly in darker skin types, i.e., Skin of Color (SOC). We illustrate differences in clinical features on physical exam that can be a diagnostic challenge and suggest ways to recognize and identify these conditions at an early stage through a high level of suspicion. The review includes a summary of the epidemiology of various CLs, specifically highlighting the presentation and incidence in African American/Black patients, where the data are available. We also include a discussion of adult HTLV-1-associated T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATLL) which, although a systemic T-cell lymphoma, may present with skin manifestations and mimic MF, other CTCL subtypes, or other inflammatory dermatoses. Finally, this review highlights the possible use of imaging modalities, such as dermoscopy and reflectance-confocal microscopy, in diagnosing and recognizing cutaneous lymphomas in patients with darker skin types.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Several inflammatory dermatoses, including dermatomyositis (DM), may present as erythematous papules or plaques on the dorsal aspects of the hands over the joints. Limited skin involvement in these entities may pose a diagnostic challenge. (Video)dermoscopy is being utilized more frequently to aid in differential diagnosis of inflammatory skin conditions. OBJECTIVE To describe the dermoscopic findings in Gottron's papules and compare with dermoscopic features of other dermatoses involving the dorsal aspects of the hands. METHODS Videodermoscopic images from patients presenting with erythematous papules or plaques on the dorsal surface of the hands were retrospectively analyzed for the presence of standardized dermoscopic parameters. RESULTS Dermoscopic images from patients with DM (n=12), psoriasis (n=19), chronic dermatitis (n=16), mycosis fungoides (n=7), lichen planus (n=5) and pityriasis rubra pilaris (n=3) were included. Gottron's papules were characterized by pleomorphic vessels (dotted vessels accompanied by thick or thin linear vessels with branches or linear curved vessels) in 66.7% of cases, arranged in unspecified pattern (91.7%), and accompanied by white or pink structureless areas (75.0%). Psoriatic plaques were characterized by dotted vessels arranged in a uniform pattern (94.7%). Vessels arranged in a ring pattern were nearly exclusively observed in psoriasis, while yellow structureless areas and erosions were more frequently present in chronic dermatitis. White lines, corresponding to Wickham striae, were specific for lichen planus. CONCLUSIONS Videodermoscopy might be of value in differentiating Gottron's papules from other dermatoses involving dorsa of the hands.
