Abstract
This work describes a novel and practical method for the Cu-catalyzed C(sp3)-C(sp2) cross-coupling of alkylsilyl peroxides with arylboronic acids. The reductive cleavage of the O-O bond of alkylsilyl peroxides and the desired cross-coupling reactions to afford alkyl-substituted aromatic rings proceed smoothly at room temperature promoted by simple Cu-based catalysts and do not require activation by visible light. The results of mechanistic investigations support a radical-mediated C(sp3)-C(sp2) bond formation via β-scission of the alkoxy radicals generated from the alkylsilyl peroxides.

Abstract
A method for the Cu-catalyzed cross-coupling of both aryl and alkylboranes with aryl bromides is described. The method employs an inexpensive Cu-catalyst and functions for a variety of heterocyclic as well as electron deficient aryl bromides. In addition, aryl iodides of varying substitution patterns and electronic properties work well.

Abstract
A water-soluble fullerene-supported PdCl2 nanocatalyst [C60-TEGS/PdCl2] was prepared by coordination of water-soluble fullerene nanoparticles with palladium chloride. In pure water, the catalytic activity of nanocatalyst [C60-TEGS/PdCl2] for Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling reaction was investigated under different reaction conditions. The results showed that biphenyl compounds could be synthesized in high yields at room temperature using 0.01 mol% of [C60-TEGS/PdCl2] as the catalyst and K2CO3 as the base with the reaction time of 4 h. The catalyst was recycled five times, and the yield clearly did not decrease. The water-soluble fullerene-supported PdCl2 nanocatalyst [C60-TEGS/PdCl2] exhibits high activity and recycling in pure water toward the Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling reaction.![]()

Abstract
An efficient Cu(I)-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura reaction was developed for the coupling of aryl- and heteroarylboronate esters with aryl and heteroaryl iodides at low catalyst loadings (2 mol %). The reaction proceeds under ligand-free conditions for aryl-heteroaryl and heteroaryl-heteroaryl couplings. We also conducted the first detailed mechanistic studies by synthesizing [(PN-2)CuI]2, [(PN-2)CuF]2, and (PN-2)CuPh (PN-2 = o-(di-tert-butylphosphino)-N,N-dimethylaniline) and demonstrated that [(PN-2)CuF]2 is the species that undergoes transmetalation with arylboronate esters.

Abstract
A Cu(I)-catalyzed Hiyama coupling was achieved, which proceeds in the absence of an ancillary ligand for aryl-heteroaryl and heteroaryl-heteroaryl couplings. A P,N-ligand is required to obtain the best product yields for aryl-aryl couplings. In addition to facilitating transmetalation, CsF is also found to function as a stabilizer of the [CuAr] species, potentially generated as an intermediate after transmetalation of aryltriethoxysilanes with Cu(I)-catalysts in the absence of ancillary ligands.

Abstract
Pd(OAc)2 combined with an ethanol/K2HPO4 aqueous two-phase system was developed as an inexpensive and efficient catalytic system for Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling. The couplings between aryl iodides and arylboronic acids proceeded smoothly in moderate to excellent yields at 60°C in the aqueous two-phase system, and aryl bromides required a higher reaction temperature (reflux at about 80°C) to improve the yield.
