Abstract
Monkeypox, a rare but significant zoonotic and orthopoxviral disease, has garnered increasing attention due to its potential for human-to-human transmission and its recent resurgence in multiple countries throughout Europe, North America, and Oceania. The disease has emerged as a novel threat to the global health systems that are still striving to recover from the major shocks of the COVID-19 pandemic. The unusual manifestation of the illness highlights a substantial knowledge deficit and necessitates the immediate development of a public health action strategy, considering the epidemiological differences observed in the ongoing outbreak and the appearance of cases in non-endemic nations. This literature review aims to synthesize existing knowledge on monkeypox, encompassing its historical context, etiology, epidemiology, surveillance, prevention, transmission, clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatments, and recent outbreak. Particular attention is given to both advances and gaps in our understanding of monkeypox, and we point toward future directions for research and intervention efforts as pertains to vaccine development and distribution. Lastly, we will also review the recent outbreak through a sociopolitical lens as relates to decision-making strategies, especially given the lessons learned from COVID-19.

Abstract
The 2022 monkeypox outbreak has created a new global health threat and pandemic. Monkeypox virus is a descendant of the genus Orthopoxvirus, producing a febrile skin rash disease in humans. Monkeypox is zoonotic transmitted and transmitted from human to human in several ways. Even though this disease is self-limited, it creates important community health worries due to its inconvenience and widespread complications. Herein, we discussed the up-to-date current situation of monkeypox regarding its epidemiology, clinical manifestations, current in-use therapeutics, necessary protective measures, and response to potential occurrences considering the recent pandemic. Also, in this review, a comparative genomic analysis of the recent circulating strains that have been recovered from various countries including, Egypt, USA, Spain, Japan and South Africa has been investigated.

Abstract
The World Health Organization (WHO) proclaimed a public health emergency in July 2022 due to the emergence of Mpox (formerly monkeypox) while the globe was still dealing with the COVID-19 epidemic. The characteristics of mpox in immunocompetent individuals are well-characterized, despite difficulties in diagnostics, immunization, and access to treatment that persist in low-income countries. Patients with weakened immune systems are more likely to spread an illness and die from it than healthy people because they cannot mount a protective immune response against it, such as a neutralizing IgG and poxvirus-specific Th1 response. A health warning on severe mpox in people who are immunocompromised due to Human Immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and other illnesses was released by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on September 29, 2022. The advice does not specifically include primary immunodeficiency, but it does define other immunocompromising disorders as “having autoimmune disease with immunodeficiency as a clinical component”. Both those with healthy immune systems and those with weakened immune systems, such as those who are immunosuppressed, older people, children, etc., have encountered serious health issues, but the latter group is more likely to do so. According to the advisory, “of the people with severe mpox manifestations for whom CDC has been consulted, the majority have had HIV with CD4 counts 200 cells/ml, indicating substantial immunosuppression”. However, new cases are still expected to be discovered, especially in low-income countries with limited access to diagnosis, treatment, and prevention, and where a large percentage of the mpox-infected population also has advanced HIV infection. Thus, further research is always needed to determine the best way to treat mpox in immunocompromised people. In this context, we discussed /reviewed the mpox clinical presentation, available treatment options and current preventive guidelines in immunocompromised patients.

Abstract
The World Health Assembly declared that smallpox had been completely eradicated from the human population in 1980. Monkeypox, a zoonosis native to damp forested regions in West and Central Africa, is the illness that is most comparable to smallpox clinically and immunologically. Both illnesses could be prevented by the smallpox vaccine. Although the monkeypox virus is a less effective human disease than the smallpox virus, it could now spread among human populations if smallpox had not been eradicated and population-wide immunity had not been developed. A health warning on severe monkeypox in people who are immunocompromised due to Human Immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and other illnesses was released by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on September 29, 2022. The advise does not specifically include primary immunodeficiency, but it does define other immunocompromising disorders as “having autoimmune disease with immunodeficiency as a clinical component”. The documented severe signs of monkeypox include widespread rashes with secondary fungal or bacterial skin infections or tissue death (necrosis), intestine obstruction, and difficulties with the heart, lungs, urinary system, and nervous system. Both those with healthy immune systems and those with weakened immune systems, such as those who are immunosuppressed, older people, children, etc., have encountered serious health issues, but the latter group is more likely to do so. According to the advisory, “of the people with severe monkeypox manifestations for whom CDC has been consulted, the majority have had HIV with CD4 counts 200 cells/ml, indicating substantial immunosuppression”. The current article goes into great detail about monkeypox disease occurring in immunocompromised patients and preventive guidelines.

Abstract
Monkeypox (MPX) is one of the common infections between humans and animals that caused by a virus belonging to the Orthopoxvirus genus. The Monkeypox virus (MPXV) outbreak is a global crisis triggered by environmental factors (virus, wastewater, surface, air) and amplified by the decisions of government officials and communities. The aim of this systematic review is to describe the environmental perspectives of MPXV with emphasis on risk assessment to prevent and control a new pandemic. Five online databases including Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct and Google Scholar were searched from 1990 to October 2022. Among 120 records, after the screening, four studies were included in the systematic review. The systematic review revealed that the possibility of MPXV transmission through wastewater, air, and the contaminated surfaces is a significant concern and its detection and destroying will play a major role in controlling the spread of the virus. Poxviruses have a high environmental stability, but are sensitive to all common chemical disinfectants. In conclusion, this study revealed that the environmental surveillance can be used as a complementary tool for detecting pathogens circulation in communities. This implies that the monitoring of environmental perspectives of MPXV can provide new awareness into virus transmission routes as well as the role of stakeholders and public health policies in MPXV risk management.

Abstract
In regions where the disease is endemic, Monkeypox (MPV) transmission related to healthcare has been seen on numerous occasions. This disease has episodes of occurrence in certain regions around the globe, such as in the Democratic Republic of Congo's (DRC) Tshuapa region. Here, the disease was found with a prevalence of 0.35 per 1000, as per data collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the United States (US). Data also shows approximately 100 confirmed cases of MPV for every infection among Healthcare Workers (HCWs). These findings and scientific research on burns, superficial wounds, herpes, eczema vaccine, and other conditions indicate that MPV sufferers might get an advantage from medical care to lessen the effects of weakened skin and mucosa. This should involve guarding delicate anatomical areas like the eyes and genitalia, maintaining enough hydration and nourishment, and preventing and treating consequences like secondary bacterial diseases. In the DRC, this disease was first recognized in 1970. Since then, it has spread to numerous nations around the globe and gained substantial epidemiological significance. The most recent epidemic has taken place in 2022 worldwide. The viruses that cause MPV and cowpox are currently regarded as emerging. Because of the rise in international travel, the popularity of exotic pets, and the decline in smallpox vaccination rates, they pose a significant danger of spreading. Although it is believed that this viral illness will eventually go away on its own, the possibility of the pandemic raises several serious problems for the general public's health. In addition to providing a broad overview of the Monkeypox Virus (MPXV), this study will detail the epidemiology, clinical hallmarks, assessment, and treatment of MPV sufferers.

Abstract
After the COVID-19 disease, monkeypox disease has emerged today and has started to be seen almost everywhere in the world in a short time. Monkeypox causes symptoms such as fever, chills, and headache in people. In addition, rashes are seen on the skin and lumps are formed. Early diagnosis and treatment of monkeypox, which is a contagious disease, are of great importance. An expert interpretation and clinical examination are usually needed to detect monkeypox. This may cause the treatment process to be slow. Furthermore, monkeypox is sometimes confused with warts. This leads to incorrect diagnosis and treatment. Because of these disadvantages, in this study, the DNA sequences of HPV causing warts and MPV causing monkeypox were analyzed and the classification of these sequences was performed with a deep learning algorithm. The study consisted of four stages. In the first stage, DNA sequences of viruses that cause warts and monkeypox were obtained. In the second stage, these sequences were mapped using various DNA-mapping methods. In the third stage, the mapped sequences were classified using a deep learning algorithm. At the last stage, the performances of DNA-mapping methods were compared by calculating accuracy and F1-score. At the end of the study, an average accuracy of 96.08% and an F1-score of 99.83% were obtained. These results showed that these two diseases can be effectively classified according to their DNA sequences.
