Abstract
The development of high-performance electrodes is essential for improving the charge storage performance of rechargeable devices. In this study, local high-entropy C, N co-doped NiCoMnFe-based layered double hydroxide (C/N-NiCoMnFe-LDH, C/N-NCMF) were designed using a novel method. Multi-component synergistic effects can dramatically modulate the surface electron density, crystalline structure, and band-gap of the electrode. Thus, the electrical conductivity, electron transfer, and affinity for the electrolyte can be optimized. Additionally, the C/N-NCMF yielded a high specific capacitance (1454F·g-1) at 1 A·g-1. The electrode also exhibited excellent cycling stability, with 62 % capacitance retention after 5000 cycles. Moreover, the assembled Zn||C/N-NCMF battery and the C/N-NCMF//AC hybrid supercapacitor yielded excellent energy densities of 63.1 and 35.4 Wh·kg-1 at power densities of 1000 and 825 W·kg-1, and superior cycling performance with 69 % and 88.7 % capacitance retention after 1000 and 30,000 cycles, respectively. Furthermore, the electrode maintained high electrochemical activity and stability and ensured high energy density, power density, and cycling stability of the rechargeable devices even at a low temperature (-20 °C). This study paves a new pathway for regulating the electrochemical performance of LDH-based electrodes.

Abstract
The accurate evaluation of shoreline movement is a crucial aspect for managing highly dynamic coasts. This study employed Landsat TM and OLI data through the Digital Shoreline Analysis System model to quantify changes in the spatiotemporal distribution of Tianjin's coastline from 1985 to 2020. The results showed that the coastline length (CL) increased by 178 km and 151% over the past 36 years, with an average increase of 5.1 km/a. Accretion and erosion processes along the entire coast were observed at rates of 83.9% and 16.1%, respectively. Notably, the Tianjin Port Area and Nangang Industrial Zone showed remarkable changes in the shoreline in 2009. Night lights (NL) were used to display the intensity of human activity in this area, and the spatial heterogeneity of night light intensity was significant. Compared to the total night light (TNL) in 1985, it increased by 116% in 2020. The relationship between TNL and CL was then established and displayed a significant positive correlation (r = 0.91). With the increasing total night light, the growth of the CL presented changes with an initial slow increase, then rapid increase, and finally slow increase. In the second phase of TNL, the CL experienced a considerable increase due to anthropogenic activities such as land reclamation and port construction, fueled primarily by government policies during the period of 2005-2013. Subsequently, there was little change in the coastline. These findings provide valuable insights into spatiotemporal coastline monitoring programs and sustainable coastal management.

Abstract
Background It is of great clinical significance to further explore new strategies and potential combined therapeutic targets for gastric cancer. This study aimed to investigate the synthetic lethal effect of RBBP8 molecular intervention combined with a poly ADP ribose polymerase (PARP) inhibitor in non-BRCA mutant gastric cancer and clarify the mechanism by which RBBP8 regulates homologous recombination repair. Methods The role of RBBP8 in DNA damage repair was observed using bioinformatic analysis, western blot analysis, and immunofluorescence. The synthetic lethal effect was verified using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-5-(3-carboxymethoxyphenyl)-2-(4-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium, inner salt (MTS)and flow cytometry apoptosis experiments. Results Among the patients with gastric cancer treated with chemotherapy, the prognosis of patients with high RBBP8 expression levels was worse (homologous recombination [HR] = 1.54, p = 0.028). RBBP8 knockdown induced DNA damage and had a synergistic effect with PARP inhibitor treatment on cell viability inhibition and cell apoptosis in AGS (generic code for human gastric adenocarcinoma cells) (t = 11.154, p < 0.001) and N87 (t = 6.362, p < 0.001) cells. RBBP8 knockdown inhibited RAD51 activation and DNA terminal excision in homologous recombination repair. Conclusion RBBP8 is involved in homologous recombination repair, and molecular intervention into RBBP8 could achieve a synthetic lethal effect with PARP inhibitor treatment in gastric cancer cells.

Abstract
The exploration of cost-effective and sustainable biomass-derived carbon materials as electrodes for energy conversion and storage has gained extensive attention in recent research studies. However, the selection of the biomass and the electrochemical performance regulation of the derived biochar, as well as their interrelationship still remain challenging for practical application. Herein, corn wastes with high carbon content (>40%), corn cob and corn silk, were selected as precursors for the preparation of high value-added and high yield carbon materials via a modified synthetic process. Uniquely, this work put emphasis on the theoretical and experimental investigations of how the biomass properties influence the composition and nanostructure regulation, the electrolyte ion adsorption free energy, and the electrical conductivity of the derived carbon materials as well as their electrochemical performance optimization. Owing to the favorable specific surface area, the hierarchical porous structure, and the diverse elemental distribution, corn cob and corn silk derived carbon materials (CBC and SBC) present great potential as promising electrodes for alkaline aqueous zinc batteries and supercapacitors. The assembled CBC//Zn and SBC//Zn zinc batteries deliver high energy densities of 63.0 Wh kg-1 and 39.1 Wh kg-1 at a power density of 575 W kg-1, with excellent cycling performance of 91.1% and 84.3% capacitance retention after 10,000 cycles. As for the assembled symmetric supercapacitors, high energy densities of 14.9 Wh kg-1 and 13.6 Wh kg-1, and superior long-term cycling stability of 99.3% and 96.6% capacitance retention after 20,000 cycles could be achieved. This study highlights the advantages of utilizing corn cob and corn silk as carbon sources on the designed synthesis of carbon electrodes, and presents a meaningful perspective in the investigation of biomass-derived carbon materials and their potential applications in rechargeable devices.

Abstract
Objective: To discuss the value of amplified in breast cancer 1(AIB1) and androgen receptor (AR) for the resistance of adjuvant tamoxifen in estradiol receptor (ER) positive breast cancer. Methods: A total of 188 cases with breast cancer after receiving tamoxifen treatment in the Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital from June 2008 to July 2013 were enrolled in this study.Using immunohistochemical SP method to detect AIB1and AR expression in breast cancer tissue, analyzing the relationship of AIB1 and AR expression and the effect of tamoxifen.And verify the results of the experiment through the GEPIA database. Results: The response of tamoxifen was 80.3%. The response rate in AR positive group and AR negative group was 79.6% and 82.4%, with no significant difference (P=0.669). The response rate in AIB1 High expression group and AIB1 Low expression group was 68.4% and 93.3%, respectively, with a significant difference (P<0.001).The response rate in AR negative and AIB1 Low expression group, AR negative and AIB1 High expression group, AR positive and AIB1 Low expression group, AR positive and AIB1High expression group was 89.7%, 71.4%, 96.7%, 66.2%respectively, with a significant difference (P<0.001). Conclusions: The expression level of AIB1 is correlated with the therapeutic effect of tamoxifen in breast cancer. Its high expression can cause tamoxifen resistance, while AR positive and High expression of AIB1 are more likely to cause tamoxifen resistance, and AIB1 can be used as an independent influencing factor for breast cancer tamoxifentreatment.

Abstract
Polymer composites have essential applications in electronics due to their versatility, stable performance, and processability. However, with the increasing miniaturization and high power of electronics in the 5G era, there are significant challenges related to heat accumulation and electromagnetic wave (EMW) radiation in narrow spaces. Traditional solutions involve using either thermally conductive or EMW absorbing polymer composites, but these fail to meet the demand for multi-functional integrated materials in electronics. Therefore, designing thermal conduction and EMW absorption integrated polymer composites has become essential to solve the problems of heat accumulation and electromagnetic pollution in electronics and adapt to its development trend. Researchers have developed different approaches to fabricate thermal conduction and EMW absorption integrated polymer composites, including integrating functional fillers with both thermal conduction and EMW absorption functions and innovating processing methods. This review summarizes the latest research progress, factors that affect performance, and the mechanisms of thermal conduction and EMW absorption integrated polymer composites. The review also discusses problems that limit the development of these composites and potential solutions and development directions. The aim of this review is to provide references for the development of thermal conduction and EMW absorption integrated polymer composites.

Abstract
Objective: To assess the effect of jejunal feeding tube placement on early complications of laparoscopic radical gastrectomy in patients with incomplete pyloric obstruction by gastric cancer. Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study. Perioperative clinical data of 151 patients with gastric antrum cancer complicated by incomplete pyloric obstruction who had undergone laparoscopic distal radical gastrectomy from May 2020 to May 2022 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University were collected. Intraoperative jejunal feeding tubes had been inserted in 69 patients (nutrition tube group) and not in the remaining 82 patients (conventional group). There were no statistically significant differences in baseline characteristics between the two groups (all P>0.05). The operating time, intraoperative bleeding, time to first intake of solid food, time to passing first flatus, time to drainage tube removal, and postoperative hospital stay, and early postoperative complications (occurded within 30 days after surgery) were compared between the two groups. Results: Patients in both groups completed the surgery successfully and there were no deaths in the perioperative period. The operative time was longer in the nutritional tube group than in the conventional group [(209.2±4.7) minutes vs. (188.5±5.7) minutes, t=2.737, P=0.007], whereas the time to first postoperative intake of food [(2.7±0.1) days vs. (4.1±0.4) days, t=3.535, P<0.001], time to passing first flatus [(2.3±0.1) days vs. (2.8±0.1) days, t=3.999, P<0.001], time to drainage tube removal [(6.3±0.2) days vs. (6.9±0.2) days, t=2.123, P=0.035], and postoperative hospital stay [(7.8±0.2) days vs. (9.7±0.5) days, t=3.282, P=0.001] were shorter in the nutritional tube group than in the conventional group. There was no significant difference between the two groups in intraoperative bleeding [(101.1±9.0) mL vs. (111.4±8.7) mL, t=0.826, P=0.410]. The overall incidence of short-term postoperative complications was 16.6% (25/151). Postoperative complications did not differ significantly between the two groups (all P>0.05). Conclusion: It is safe and feasible to insert a jejunal feeding tube in patients with incomplete outlet obstruction by gastric antrum cancer during laparoscopic radical gastrectomy. Such tubes confer some advantages in postoperative recovery.

Abstract
ZnS@In2S3 core-shell structures with high photocatalytic activity have been delicately designed and synthesized. The unique structure and synergistic effects of the composites have an important influence on the improvement of photocatalytic activity. The photocatalytic activity has been studied by photodegrading individual eosin B (EB) and the mixture solution consisting of eosin B and rhodamine B (EB-RhB) in the presence of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) under simulated sunlight irradiation. The results show that all of the photocatalysts with different contents of In2S3 exhibit enhanced catalytic activity compared to pure ZnS for the degradation of EB and EB-RhB solution. When the theoretical molar ratio of ZnS to In2S3 was 1:0.5, the composite presents the highest photocatalytic efficiency, which could eliminate more than 98% of EB and 94% of EB-RhB. At the same time, after five cycles of photocatalytic tests, the photocatalytic efficiency could be about 96% for the degradation of the EB solution, and relatively high photocatalytic activity could also be obtained for the degradation of the EB-RhB mixed solution. This work has proposed a facile synthetic process to realize the controlled preparation of core-shell ZnS@In2S3 composites with effectively modulated structures and compositions, and the composites have also proved to be high-efficiency photocatalysts for the disposal of complicated pollutants.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the prevalence and influencing factors of Blastocystis hominis infection among children with diarrhea under five years of age in Guangzhou City. METHODS Children with diarrhea under 5 years of age admitted to Guangzhou Children's hospital, Guangzhou Maternity and Child Healthcare Hospital and Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center during the period between January 1 and December 31, 2020, were enrolled. Participants' demographics, living environments and health status were collected using questionnaire surveys. Stool samples were collected from participants and nucleic acid was extracted. B. hominis infection was identified using PCR assay and sequence alignment, and the factors affecting B. hominis infection among children with diarrhea under 5 years of age were identified using univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis. RESULTS A total of 684 children with diarrhea under 5 years of age were enrolled, including 468 male children and 216 female children, with a mean age of (1.79 ± 1.12) years. The overall prevalence of B. hominis infection was 4.97% [34/684, 95% confidential interval (CI): (3.59%, 6.86%)] among participants, and there was no significant difference in the prevalence of B. hominis infection between children with chronic [7.52% (20/266), 95% CI: (4.92%, 11.33%)] and acute diarrhea [3.35% (14/418), 95% CI: (2.01%, 5.54%)] (χ2 = 5.983, P = 0.014). Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified keeping pet [odds ratio (OR) = 6.298, 95% CI: (2.711, 14.633)], drinking non-tap water [OR = 4.522, 95% CI: (1.769, 11.561)], lactose intolerance [OR = 4.221, 95% CI: (1.043, 17.087)], antibiotic use [OR = 0.125, 95% CI: (0.017, 0.944)] and chronic diarrhea [OR = 2.172, 95% CI: (1.018, 4.637)] as factors affecting B. hominis infection among children with diarrhea under 5 years of age in Guangzhou City. CONCLUSIONS B. hominis infections is detected in children with diarrhea under five years of age in Guangzhou City. Improving home environments and pet-keeping hygiene is recommended to reduce the likelihood of B. hominis infection among children.

Abstract
The natural nacre has a regular ordered layered structure of calcium carbonate tablets and ion crosslinking proteins stacked alternately, showing outstanding mechanical properties. Inspired by nacre, we fabricated different divalent metal cation-crosslinked montmorillonite-alginate hybrid films (MMT-ALG-X2+; X2+ = Cu2+, Cd2+, Ba2+, Ca2+, Ni2+, Co2+ or Mn2+). The effect of ionic crosslinking strength and hydrogen bond interaction on the mechanical properties of the nacre-mimetics was studied. With the cations affinities with ALG being increased (Mn2+ < Co2+ = Ni2+ < Ca2+ < Ba2+ < Cd2+ < Cu2+), the tensile strength of nacre-mimetics showed two opposite influence trends: Weak ionic crosslinking (Mn2+, Co2+, Ni2+ and Ca2+) can synergize with hydrogen bonds to greatly increase the tensile properties of the sample; Strong ionic crosslinking (Ba2+, Cd2+, Cu2+) and hydrogen bonding form a competitive relationship, resulting in a rapid decrease in mechanical properties. Mn2+ crosslinking generates optimal strength of 288.0 ± 15.2 MPa with an ultimate strain of 5.35 ± 0.6%, obviously superior to natural nacre (135 MPa and 2%). These excellent mechanical properties arise from the optimum synergy of ion crosslinking and interfacial hydrogen bonds between crosslinked ALG and MMT nanosheets. In addition, these metal ion-crosslinked composite films show different colors, high visible transparency, and excellent UV shielding properties.

Abstract
In this paper, a novel ANN flood forecasting model is proposed. The ANN model is combined with traditional hydrological concepts and methods, taking the initial Antecedent Precipitation Index (API), rainfall, upstream inflow and initial flow at the forecast river section as input of model, and flood flow forecast of the next time steps as output of the model. The distributed rainfall is realized as the input of the model. The simulation is processed by dividing the watershed into several rainfall-runoff processing units. Two hidden layers are used in the ANN, and the topology of ANN is optimized by connecting the hidden layer neurons only with the input which has physical conceptual causes. The topological structure of the proposed ANN model and its information transmission process are more consistent with the physical conception of rainfall-runoff, and the weight parameters of the model are reduced. The arithmetic moving-average algorithm is added to the output of the model to simulate the pondage action of the watershed. Satisfactory results have been achieved in the Mozitan and Xianghongdian reservoirs in the upper reaches of Pi river in Huaihe Basin, and the Fengman reservoir in the upper reach of Second Songhua river in Songhua basin in China.

Abstract
The reasonable design of the composition and hollow structure of electrode materials is beneficial for promoting the electrochemical properties and stability of electrode materials for high-performance supercapacitors, and it is of great significance to understand the inherent effect of these features on their performance. In this paper, the amorphous Ni-Co double hydroxide nanocages with hollow structures (Ni-Co ADHs) including quasi-sphere, cube and flower are delicately tailored via a Cu2O template-assisted approach. By combining experimental characterization and density functional theory (DFT) calculations, we systematically study the morphological growth of Cu2O templates under different conditions and the electrochemical performance of Ni-Co ADHs. Due to the coordination and synergistic effect between different components, the unique hollow structure and the nature of amorphous materials, Ni-Co ADHs deliver a high specific capacitance of 1707 F g-1 at 1 A g-1. The DFT calculations demonstrate that Ni-Co ADH nanocages exhibit an optimal redox reaction energy barrier and immensely promote the performance. In addition, a hybrid supercapacitor assembled with Ni-Co ADHs as a cathode and active carbon (AC) as an anode shows a high energy density of 33.8 W h kg-1 at a power density of 850 W kg-1 and exhibits an excellent cycling performance with a retention rate of 98% after 50 000 cycles. The successful synthesis of Ni-Co ADH nanocages, combined with rational computational simulations, indicates the excellent electrochemical performance and the potential utilization of amorphous hollow nanomaterials as electrodes for supercapacitors.

Abstract
Background: Laryngocarcinoma is the most frequent head and neck malignant tumor. MALAT1 have a role in promoting cell proliferation and metastasis in several tumors. This research aimed to investigate the great roles of MALAT1in laryngocarcinoma. Methods: Overall, 54 cases of laryngocarcinoma tissues pathological specimens and paracancerous tissues were collected by surgical resection from the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Shandong Provincial Hospital affiliated to Shandong University, China from Jan 2012 to Oct 2015. The microRNA and protein levels of genes were evaluated by RT-qPCR and western blot. The proliferative and invasive ability were calculated usingCCK8 and transwell assays. Kaplan-Meier method was used to assess the survival of laryngocarcinoma patients. Results: In laryngocarcinoma tissues and cells, lncRNA MALAT1 expression was significantly increased compared to normal tissues and cells. LncRNA MALAT1 promotes proliferation and migration of laryngocarcinoma cells. LncRNA MALAT1 upregulates HMGA1 expression by acting as a competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) for miR-125b. Rescue experiments showed that microRNA-125b inhibitor reversed the change in cell viability and invasion induced by sh-MALAT1. Down regulation of lncRNA MALAT1 inhibits laryngocarcinoma proliferation and invasion by modulating miR-125b/HMGA1. Conclusion: LncRNA MALAT1 promotes the development of laryngocarcinoma by regulating the expression level of HMGA1 by acting as a miR-125b ceRNA and may be considered as a new strategy for the development of laryngocarcinoma.

Abstract
Exploration of novel advanced oxidation systems with high efficiency toward radical generation is of significant importance due to the extensive and versatile application of reactive species in the wastewater treatment. Herein we report a simple UV-catalytic homogeneous advanced oxidation system (UV/Fe3+/hydrogen sulfite (BS)), which is capable of generating abundant radicals (e.g., SO3-, SO4-, SO5- and HO) in the aqueous environment. Sulfamethoxazole (SMX) degradation using this system was tested. Results indicated that SMX could be degraded effectively by UV/Fe3+/BS and sulfate radical (SO4-) and hydroxyl radical (HO•) were verified to be presented in this system and be contributive to SMX removal. The acidic pH (4.0) and a low BS/Fe3+ ratio (10:1) were suitable for SMX degradation. The presence of fulvic acid (FA) and HCO3- strongly inhibited the degradation of SMX, but obvious acceleration was observed in the presence of NO3- due to its contribution on additional radical generation by photosensitization. Based on the detected transformation products through LC-MS analysis, the degradation pathway of SMX by UV/Fe3+/BS was proposed including hydroxylation and bond cleavage.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Circular RNAs (circRNAs) feature prominently in tumor progression. However, the biological function and molecular mechanism of circ_0003266 in colorectal cancer (CRC) require further investigation. METHODS Circ_0003266 expression in 46 pairs CRC tissues / adjacent tissues, and CRC cell lines was detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR); after circ_0003266 was overexpressed or knocked down in CRC cells, cell proliferation, apoptosis, migration, and invasion were evaluated by the cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8), flow cytometry, and Transwell assays, respectively; the interaction among circ_0003266, miR-503-5p, and programmed cell death 4 (PDCD4) was confirmed using bioinformatics analysis and dual-luciferase reporter assay; PDCD4 protein expression in CRC cells was quantified using Western blot. RESULTS Circ_0003266 was significantly lowly expressed in CRC tissues and cell lines. Circ_0003266 overexpression markedly repressed CRC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, and accelerated the cell apoptosis, but its overexpression promoted the malignant phenotypes of CRC cells. PDCD4 was a direct target of miR-503-5p and circ_0003266 promoted PDCD4 expression by competitively sponging miR-503-5p. CONCLUSION Circ_0003266 suppresses the CRC progression via sponging miR-503-5p and regulating PDCD4 expressions, which suggests that circ_0003266 may serve as a novel target for the treatment of CRC.

Abstract
Sulfate radical (SO4˙−) based oxidation technologies have been widely used in the remediation of antibiotic-containing wastewater. Activated persulfates are efficient reagents for achieving SO4˙−, but the storage and transportation of concentrated persulfates present associated safety issues. In this study, bisulfite (BS) was used as an alternative precursor for replacing persulfates, and a simple advanced oxidation system (Fe3+/BS) for generating SO4˙− and hydroxyl radical (HO˙) was formulated and evaluated for removing sulfamethoxazole (SMX) from contaminated water. The initial pH, dosages of Fe3+ and BS, as well as the water matrix were investigated to improve the SMX degradation. The results indicated that 1 μmol L−1 SMX was completely removed within 5 min at optimum initial pH of 4.0, Fe3+ dosage of 10 μmol L−1, BS dosage of 100 μmol L−1 and temperature of 25 °C. The presence of HCO3− and natural organic matter (NOM) showed obviously negative effects on SMX degradation, while Cu2+ could slightly promote the degradation of SMX if its concentration was in an appropriate range (∼1 μmol L−1). Scavenger quenching experiments confirmed the presence of SO4˙− and HO˙, which resulted in efficient SMX degradation in the Fe3+/BS system. During the radical chain reactions, Fe2+ and Fe3+ could be converted into each other to form self-circulation in this system. The degradation pathway of SMX by Fe3+/BS was proposed including hydroxylation and bond cleavage. Abstract
Objective Laryngeal cancer is a common malignant tumor in the ENT, of which laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) accounts for more than 90% of laryngeal cancer. The purpose of this study is to investigate the regulatory mechanism of lncRNA SNHG16 in LSCC. Materials and Methods Real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) was used to measure mRNA expression. Cell Counting Kit (CCK-8), Transwell and luciferase reporter assays, flow cytometric analysis and Western blot analysis were used to investigate the function of lncRNA SNHG16 in LSCC. Results SNHG16 expression was increased in LSCC tissues and cells. The abnormal expression of SNHG16 was associated with clinical stage and lymph node metastasis in LSCC patients. In addition, knockdown of SNHG16 restrained cell proliferation, migration and invasion in LSCC. More importantly, SNHG16 acted as a competitive endogenous RNA in LSCC and regulated FOXP4 expression by making miR-877-5p sponge. Further, SNHG16 promoted LSCC progression by interacting with miR-877-5p and FOXP4. Conclusion LncRNA SNHG16 promotes the progression of LSCC by sponging miR-877-5p and upregulating FOXP4.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Oryz-Aspergillus enzyme and pancreatin tablets (Combizym(®)) in the treatment of postprandial distress syndrome (PDS) in the elderly, compared with gastrointestinal motility drugs. Methods: A prospective randomized controlled trial was designed and registered in the China Clinical Trials Registry (ChiCTR-IPR-16008185). The elderly patients with PDS were randomly divided into three groups, including Mosapride group with Mosapride citrate tablets 5 mg 3 times per day for 2 weeks; Combizym(®) group with Combizym tablets 244 mg 3 times per day for 2 weeks; combined treatment group with both drugs and same doses for 2 weeks. The modified Nepean dyspepsia index (NDSI) score, discomfort intensity score and PDS score were calculated on patients before treatment, at the end of first and second week of treatment, as well as 4 weeks after treatment finished, respectively. Adverse effects were evaluated. Results: A total of 323 patients from 16 tertiary hospitals in China were enrolled in this study. Among them, 105 patients were in Mosapride group, 109 in Combizym(®) group and 109 in combined treatment group. There were 148 males (45.8%) and 175 females (54.2%) with median age 71.4±9.0 years (60-100 years). Baseline characteristics of three groups were comparable. After treatment, the NDSI scores in three groups all decreased significantly (P<0.001), while they were similar between groups (P>0.05). The discomfort intensity score and PDS score in three groups showed a significant reduction after treatment (P<0.001), especially in the combined treatment group. Compared with Mosapride group, the scores in Combizym(®) group decreased significantly after one or two weeks [discomfort intensity score: after one week, 4.0(2.5, 8.0) vs. 6.0(3.0, 10.0); after two weeks, 3.0(0.0, 5.0) vs. 4.0(2.0, 6.0); all P<0.05. PDS score: after one week, 6.0(3.0, 9.0) vs. 7.0(3.5, 10.5); after two weeks, 3.0(0.0, 5.0) vs. 4.0(2.0, 7.0); all P<0.05]. The efficacy rate in all patients after first week of treatment was over 15.0%. The efficacy rates after two weeks were 55.2%, 68.8% and 73.4% in Mosapride group, Combizym(®) group and combined treatment group, respectively. After two week treatment, the efficacy rates in Combizym(®) group (P=0.041) and combined group (P=0.006) were higher than that of Mosapride group. The recurrence rate of Mosapride group was 9.5%, which was significantly higher than that of Combizym(®) group (1.8%, P<0.05) and combined treatment group (1.8%, P<0.05). There were no serious adverse effects in the three groups. Conclusions: The efficacy of Oryz-Aspergillus enzyme and pancreatin tablets is comparable with that of Mosapride in elderly PDS patients, with fewer adverse effects and low recurrence rate. Combination regimen indicates better efficacy than that of Oryz-Aspergillus enzyme and pancreatin tablets or Mosapride alone.

Abstract
Supercapacitors with high security, excellent energy and power densities, and superior long-term cycling performance are becoming increasingly essential for flexible devices. Herein, this study has reported a novel method to synthesize CoNi2S4, which delivered a high specific capacitance of 1836.6 F g-1 at 1 A g-1, with a slight fluctuation in the testing temperature rising up to 50 °C (1855.2 F g-1) or decreasing to 0 °C (1587.6 F g-1). In addition, the corresponding solid-state CoNi2S4//AC HSC could achieve a high energy density of 35.8 W h kg-1 at a power density of 800.0 W kg-1, with nearly no change when tested at 0 °C and 50 °C, and possessed excellent long-term electrochemical cycling stability of 132.3% after 50 000 cycles; the solid-state hybrid supercapacitor using biomass-derived carbon (BC) as the negative electrode (CoNi2S4//BC HSC) could also deliver a high energy density of 38.9 W h kg-1 at a power density of 850.0 W kg-1 and the specific capacitance retention was 101.2% after cycling for 50 000 times. This work has provided a promising method to prepare high-performance electrode materials for solid-state hybrid supercapacitors with superior cycling stability and energy density.

Abstract
Epilepsy is caused by sudden abnormal discharges of neurons in the brain. This paper constructs an automatic seizure detection system, which combines the predicting result of multi-domain feature with the predicting result of spike rate feature to detect the occurrence of epileptic seizures. After segmenting EEG data into 5[Formula: see text]s with 80% overlap epochs, the paper extracts time domain features, frequency domain features and hurst exponents (HE) from each epoch and these features are reduced by linear discriminant analysis (LDA) to be input parameters of the random forest (RF) classifier, which provides classification of the EEG epochs concerning the existence of seizures. In parallel, the paper extracts spikes from EEG data with morphological filter and calculates the spike rate to determine whether there is seizure. Then the results obtained by these two methods are merged as the final detection result. The paper shows that the accuracy (AC), sensitivity (SE), specificity (SP) and the false positive ratio based on event (FPRE) obtained by hybrid method are 98.94%, 76.60%, 98.99% and 2.43 times/h, respectively. Finally, the paper applies the seizure detection method to do seizure warning and recording to help the family member to take care of the patients and the doctor to adjust the antiepileptic drugs (AEDs).

Abstract
Objective: To assess the perioperative safety of preoperative restricted fluid administration and liberal fluid administration for pancreatic surgery. Methods: The randomized controlled trials comparing restricted and liberal in pancreatic surgery were collected by searching the databases of PubMed, Embase and the Cochrane Library.Two reviewers independently selected studies according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, then extracted the data and assessed the quality of included studies.Meta-analysis was performed by RevMan 5.3 software. Results: A total of 4 studies involving 785 patients were finally included, with 396 cases in restricted group and 389 cases in liberal group.Results of Meta-analysis showed that there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of intraoperative blood loss, postoperative complications, mortality, reoperation in-hospital and length of stay(all P>0.05). Conclusion: With regard to pancreatic surgery, restricted fluid administration do not have outstanding advantages.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the function and role of innate lymphoid cells in the pathogenesis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) at different disease activity levels. Methods: From Nov 2017 to May 2018, 40 patients with SLE and 15 age-matched healthy non-immune-related diseases controls were enrolled from Anhui provincial hospital. According to the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Disease Activity Index (SLEDAI)-2K, the patients were divided into active group (n=20) and remission group (n=20). The frequency of ILCs, B cells, CD4+T and CD8+T cells from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) was detected by flow cytometry. The subsets of ILCs in each group were compared with the subsets of B cells and T cell respectively. The levels of IL-4, IL-33 and IFN-γ in each group were tested by ELISA. Result: Compared with the control group, ILC1 percentage was significantly increased in SLE active group [(22.33%±2.52%) vs (14.56%±1.28%), P=0.018 1]; ILC2 percentage was decreased significantly in both remission group [(19.67%±1.83%) vs (42.48%±3.46%), P<0.000 1] and active group [(8.67%±0.83%) vs (19.67%±1.83%), P<0.000 1]; ILC3 percentage was decreased significantly in active group [(5.72%±1.08%) vs (14.35%±2.40%), P=0.001 3]. SLEDAI score was negatively correlated with the percentage of ILC2 (P=0.023 9) in all patients. The percentage of ILCs in the remission group (P=0.046 2) and activity group (P=0.003 7) were both increased significantly. Moreover, the percentage of ILC2 in active group was negatively correlated with CD4+T cells (P=0.030 8), and the serum IgG was negatively correlated with ILC2% in all patients (P=0.013 8). Compared with control group or remission group, the levels of IFN-γ (F=10.91, P=0.000 1) and IL-4 (F=6.046, P=0.004 7) in active group were remarkable higher. However, IL-33 was significantly reduced in active group (F=6.645, P=0.002 7). The percentage of ILC2 (r=0.154 3, P=0.028 8) and ILC3 (r=0.313 6, P=0.001 1) in all patients with SLE were positively correlated with the level of IL-4. Conclusion: The percentage of ILCs is related to disease activity, and ILCs play a "double-edged" role in the pathogenesis of SLE. Its function and mechanism are worth further exploration.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the indications and safety of orthopedic liver transplantation for polycystic liver disease (PLD). Methods: Data of 11 patients with PLD who underwent orthotopic liver transplantation between 2004 and 2013 was retrospectively analyzed. Demographic, clinical and follow-up data were collected for statistical analysis. The survival rate was calculated by Kaplan-Meier method. Results: Over a period of 10 years, the patients received modified piggyback orthopedic liver transplantation (n=9) or combined liver-kidney transplantation (n=2) for PLD. The recipients' median age was 56 years. Seven patients were classified as Gigot type Ⅱ PLD, and four were classified as Gigot type Ⅲ PLD. Eight patients had severe decreased mobility (Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, ECOG≥3). Only three cases were Child-Pguh Class C patients and the model for end-stage liver disease (MELD) score was>20. The mean hospitalization duration was (45.4±15.3) days, and the mean length of stay in intensive care unit was (4.1±1.9) days. The perioperative mortality was 18.2% and morbidity of complications was 63.6%. The median follow-up period was 111 months. Two patients died of severe complications after combined liver-kidney transplantation. One patient died of ischemia cholangitis during follow-up. The actuarial 1-, 5-and 10-year survival rate during the follow-up period was 82.2%, 81.8%, and 65.5%, respectively. Conclusions: Liver transplantation is the only curative and safe procedure for PLD, and it provides a good long-term prognosis and high quality of life for PLD patients. Liver transplantation could be a primary option in treating progressive or advanced PLD.

Abstract
Aberrantly overexpressed oncogenic microRNAs (miRNAs, miRs) are excellent targets for therapeutic interventions.
Aberrantly overexpressed oncogenic microRNAs (miRNAs, miRs) are excellent targets for therapeutic interventions. Nevertheless, thus far, little progress has been made in developing miRNA-based drugs and techniques for clinical applications, especially for overexpressed miRNAs. In this study, we demonstrate that self-assembled DNA nanostructures bearing multiple DNA sequences that are complementary to a target miRNA can effectively capture the overexpressed oncogenic miRNA and subsequently inhibit cancer cell proliferation. Specifically, a DNA nanotube structure that carries functional DNA segments (single-stranded, duplex and hairpin forms) was designed and synthesized to capture two well-known overexpressed miRNAs, miR-21 and miR-155. It was found that all three DNA nanotubes significantly reduced both miRNA levels and inhibited cancer cell growth. Moreover, the capture efficiency was highly concentration dependent and was associated with the structural design of the DNA nanotube. These results demonstrate that through careful design, programmable DNA nanostructures can hijack the natural cellular machinery and can serve as nucleic acid drugs themselves. The concept of using self-assembled DNA nanostructures to disrupt the intracellular machinery for therapeutic purposes opens a new paradigm for exploiting self-assembled DNA nanostructures for miRNA-based anticancer therapy.

Abstract
The present work has systematically investigated the evolution of dispersoids and elevated-temperature properties including strength and creep resistance during various multi-step heat treatments in Al-Mn-Mg 3004 alloys. Results show that only the α-Al(MnFe)Si dispersoid is observed in the studied temperature range (up to 625 °C), and that it coarsens with increasing temperature to 500 °C, but dissolves at 625 °C. The evolution of elevated-temperature strength and creep resistance is greatly related to the temperature of each step during the multi-step heat treatments. Generally, lower temperature at the first-step heat treatment leads to higher properties, while the properties decrease with increasing temperature of last-step heat treatment. Suitable models have been introduced to explain the evolution of strength and the creep threshold stress at elevated-temperatures during the various heat treatments.

Abstract
To investigate the accuracy and feasibility of Brix value on monitoring gastric residual volume (GRV) in patients with enteral nutrition. Fifty patients with enteral nutrition via nasogastric tube were enrolled. The GRV was measured by both ultrasonography and Brix value. The results were compared according to the methods. The Pearson correlation coefficients showed that GRV measured by these two ways was positively correlated (r=0.986, P<0.05). Moreover paired sample t-test showed that the discrepancy was not statistically significant (P>0.05) between different measurements. The consistency was analyzed by Bland-Altman graph, showing that the two measurements were consistent. Brix value is recommended to measure GRV due to its convenience and easy operation.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of detecting index of microcirculatory resistance (IMR) and the relationship between IMR and left ventricular (LV) systolic function after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods: The patients with first AMI received primary PCI in Peking University Third Hospital were enrolled from January 2014 to March 2016. IMR were measured immediately after PCI by using pressure/temperature wire. The relationship between IMR and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) assessed by echocardiography at first day and 6 months after admission was evaluated. Results: Twenty-eight patients with anterior wall AMI were enrolled, with an average age (56±13) years. The success rate of IMR detection was 100%. The mean IMR was (33±18 )mmHg·s. There was no complication related to intravenous adenosine triphosphate (ATP) (140 μg· kg(-1)· min(-1)). The IMR was negatively correlated with TIMI blood flow grade after primary PCI (r=-0.386, P=0.043), and positively correlated with female gender, CK peak value and TnT peak value (r=0.430, P=0.022; r=0.431, P=0.025; r=0.434, P=0.024). After 6 months of follow-up, no adverse cardiovascular events (including cardiac death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, malignant arrhythmia, unplanned revascularization, hospitalization for unstable angina pectoris and severe heart failure requiring hospitalization) occurred. LVEF increased significantly compared with the first day after PCI (0.54±0.08 vs 0.47±0.06, P=0.001), and IMR was negatively correlated with LVEF after 6 months (r=-0.477, P=0.014). Multivariable linear regression analysis showed that CK peak and IMR were predictors of LVEF after six months ( β=-0.595, t=-3.814, P=0.01; β=-0.352, t=-2.26, P=0.036). Conclusions: Immediate detection of IMR in patients with anterior wall AMI after PCI is safe and feasible. The immediate IMR after PCI reflects the extent of myocardial necrosis and myocardial perfusion, and is a predictor of LVEF at 6 months after PCI.

Abstract
We propose a method to improve the resolution of coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering microscopy (CARS), and present a theoretical model. The proposed method, coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering difference microscopy (CARS-D), is based on the intensity difference between two differently acquired images. One being the conventional CARS image, and the other obtained when the sample is illuminated by a doughnut shaped spot. The final super-resolution CARS-D image is constructed by intensity subtraction of these two images. However, there is a subtractive factor between them, and the theoretical model sets this factor to obtain the best imaging effect.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate whether the presence of sepsis associated encephalopathy (SAE) would predict nosocomial coma (NC) and poor outcome in patients with supratentorial intracerebral hemorrhage (SICH). METHODS A retrospective cohort study was conducted. The adult acute SICH patients with or without coma admitted to intensive care unit (ICU) of Shuyang People' Hospital Affiliated to Xuzhou Medical University from December 2012 to December 2015 were enrolled. Brain computed tomography (CT) scans were analyzed and the patients were divided into pre-hospital coma (PC) and NC groups. The clinical data and the incidence of SAE of patients in two groups were compared, and the 30-day prognosis was followed up. Univariate and Cox regression analyses were performed to analyze whether SAE would predict NC and poor outcome in patients with SICH. RESULTS A total of 330 patients with acute SICH and coma were enrolled, excluding 60 cases of infratentorial cerebral hemorrhage, 3 cases of primary intraventricular hemorrhage, and 6 cases of unknown volume hematoma. Finally, 261 patients were included, with 111 patients of NC events, and 150 patients of PC events. 69 (62.2%) SAE in SICH with NC and 33 (22.2%) SAE in SICH with PC was diagnosed, and the incidence of SAE between two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.01). Compared with PC group, SICH patients in the NC group had lower incidence of hypertension (81.1% vs. 96.0%), longer time from onset to NC [days: 2.3 (23.9) vs. 0 (0.5)] and length of ICU stay [days: 5.0 (34.0) vs. 3.0 (12.0)], higher initial Glasgow coma score (GCS, 10.2±1.5 vs. 6.6±1.6) and sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) score [4.0 (6.0) vs. 3.0 (3.0)], lower initial National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score (19.4±6.6 vs. 30.2±6.8), as well as more frequent sepsis (78.4% vs. 38.0%), vegetative state (24.3% vs. 14.0%), acute respiratory failure (24.3% vs. 10.0%), pneumonia (37.8% vs. 24.0%), septic shock (8.1% vs. 0), acute liver failure (5.4% vs. 0), hypernatremia (8.1% vs. 0), CT indicating that more frequent vasogenic edema (64.9% vs. 16.0%) and white matter lesion (13.5% vs. 2.0%), and less mannitol usage (94.6% vs. 100.0%), and less brain midline shift (32.4% vs. 68.0%) and hematoma enlargement (8.1% vs. 30.0%), less hematoma volume (mL: 28.0±18.8 vs. 38.3±24.4) in CT, and higher 30-day mortality (54.1% vs. 26.0%) with statistical differences (all P < 0.05). It was shown by Cox regression analyses that SAE [hazard ratio (HR) = 3.5, 95% confidence interval (95%CI) = 1.346-6.765, P = 0.000] and SOFA score (HR = 1.8, 95%CI = 1.073-1.756, P = 0.008) were independent risk factors of death of SICH patients with NC, and hematoma enlargement was independent risk factor of death of SICH patients with PC (HR = 3.0, 95%CI = 1.313-5.814, P = 0.000). CONCLUSIONS SAE is the independent factor of inducing NC event and poor prognosis in SICH patients.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of long-term low dose prednisone administration on bone mineral density (BMD) in patients with inactive systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods: A total of 118 inactive female SLE patients with long-term administration of low dose prednisone were recruited from the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology at An hui Provincial Hospital.All patients were given low dose prednisone for long-term (≤10 mg/d, more than half a year). According to prednisone doses, subjects were divided into two groups, namely group A (≤7.5 mg/d) and group B (7.5-10 mg/d). In addition, patients were also divided into four groups based on the duration of administration, including groupⅠ≤3 years, Ⅱfrom 4-5 years, Ⅲ 6-10 years and Ⅳ>10 years.Twenty-nine healthy people were recruitedas normal controls.The BMD was measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry.The association of BMD with prednisone dose and duration was compared between different groups. Results: The incidence of osteopenia in all patients with SLE was 42.4%(50/118), and the incidence of osteoporosis was 14.4%(17/118). BMD of all bone sites in both group A and B were significantly lower than that in normal control group (P<0.05). Similarly, the BMD of all bone sites in groupⅠ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ were significantly decreased (P<0.05). What needed to be stressed was the BMD in group Ⅳ was lower than those in other three groups (P<0.05). Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that the cumulative prednisone dose was the risk factor for osteopenia, while taking calcium and alfacalcidol were protective factors. Conclusion: Long-term use of low dose prednisone result in the decrease of BMD in patients with inactive SLE.The lumbar spine and femoral neck had more severe osteopenia. Long-term administration of prednisone, even less than 7.5 mg/d, can also cause osteopenia.Calcium and alfacalcidol were protective factors of BMD.

Abstract
Although there have been many developments related to specific strategies for treating patients after poisoning exposures, the mainstay of therapy remains symptomatic and supportive care. One of the most aggressive supportive modalities is extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Our goal was to describe the use of ECMO for toxicological exposures reported to the American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT) Toxicology Investigators Consortium (ToxIC). We performed a retrospective review of the ACMT ToxIC Registry from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2013. Inclusion criteria included patients aged 0 to 89 years, evaluated between January 2010 through December 2013, and received ECMO for toxicological exposure. There were 26,271 exposures (60 % female) reported to the ToxIC Registry, 10 (0.0004 %) received ECMO: 4 pediatric (< 12 years), 2 adolescent (12-18 years), and 4 adults (>18 years). Time of initiation of ECMO ranged from 4 h to 4 days, with duration from 15 h to 12 days. Exposures included carbon monoxide/smoke inhalation (2), bitter almonds, methanol, and several medications including antihistamines (2), antipsychotic/antidepressant (2), cardiovascular drugs (2), analgesics (2), sedative/hypnotics (2), and antidiabetics (2). Four ECMO patients received cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) during their hospital course, and the overall survival rate was 80 %. ECMO was rarely used for poisoning exposures in the ACMT ToxIC Registry. ECMO was utilized for a variety of ages and for pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical exposures. In most cases, ECMO was administered prior to cardiovascular failure, and survival rate was high. If available, ECMO may be a valid treatment modality.

Abstract
Various graphene-based Au nanocomposites have been developed as surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates recently. However, efficient use of SERS has been impeded by the difficulty of tuning SERS enhancement effects induced from chemical and plasmonic enhancement by different preparation methods of graphene. Herein, we developed graphene-based Au hybrids through physical sputtering gold NPs on monolayer graphene prepared by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) as a CVD-G/Au hybrid, as well as graphene oxide-gold (GO/Au) and reduced-graphene oxide (rGO/Au) hybrids prepared using the chemical in situ crystallization growth method. Plasmonic and chemical enhancements were tuned effectively by simple methods in these as-prepared graphene-based Au systems. SERS performances of CVD-G/Au, rGO/Au and GO/Au showed a gradually monotonic increasing tendency of enhancement factors (EFs) for adsorbed Rhodamine 6G (R6G) molecules, which show clear dependence on chemical bonds between graphene and Au, indicating that the chemical enhancement can be steadily controlled by chemical groups in a graphene-based Au hybrid system. Most notably, we demonstrate that the optimized GO/Au was able to detect biomolecules of adenine, which displayed high sensitivity with a detection limit of 10(-7) M as well as good reproducibility and uniformity.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Intestinal ischemia and reperfusion (IR) syndrome is a life-threatening dilemma caused by diverse events. Higenamine (HG), an active ingredient of Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, has been traditionally used as a heart stimulant and anti-inflammatory agent in oriental countries. But the function of HG on intestine IR injury has never been investigated. MATERIALS AND METHODS Mice underwent a 2 cm midline laparotomy, and the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) was obstructed by micro-vascular clamp to induce intestinal ischemia. RESULTS In our current study, HG increases mouse intestinal epithelial (IEC-6) cell viability through induced heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) production in vitro. In our in vivo murine intestinal IR injury model, the increased HO-1 protein level and activity, decreased intestinal injury score, Myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity, and inflammatory cytokine expression induced by HG were all abolished with additional treatment of HO-1 inhibitor zinc protoporphyrin IX (ZnPPIX). Furthermore, HG reduced high mobility group box-1 (Hmgb1) expression in IR injury-performed intestine which was inhibited by additional administration of ZnPPIX. And HG treatment significantly decreased HO-1 expression in nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor (Nrf-2) SiRNA-transfected cells but not in control SiRNA-transfected cells. CONCLUSION Our study provides evidence HG regulates Nrf2-HO-1-Hmgb1 axis and attenuates intestinal IR injury in mice.

Abstract
The diagnosis of eosinophilic pneumonia (EP) is rare and challenging. This condition is frequently misdiagnosed as pulmonary tuberculosis, lymphoma, schistosomiasis, Wegener's granuloma, severe acute respiratory syndrome, or severe community-acquired pneumonia. Herein, we report a case in which computed tomography (CT)-guided percutaneous lung biopsy was used to diagnose EP without alveolar eosinophilia or peripheral eosinophilia. A roundworm identified in the patient's stool confirmed the precise diagnosis to be parasitic EP. This is, to our knowledge, the first reported case of EP confirmed by CT-guided percutaneous lung biopsy. CT-guided percutaneous lung biopsy may represent a new tool for the diagnosis of EP in patients without typical alveolar eosinophilia or peripheral eosinophilia.

Abstract
Cu2+ doped CeO2 porous nanomaterials were synthesized by calcining CeCu–MOF nanocrystals. They exhibited a superior bifunctional catalytic performance for CO oxidation and selective catalytic reduction of NO.
Copper doped ceria porous nanostructures with a tunable BET surface area were prepared using an efficient and general metal–organic-framework-driven, self-template route. The XRD, SEM and TEM results indicate that Cu2+ was successfully substituted into the CeO2 lattice and well dispersed in the CeO2:Cu2+ nanocrystals. The CeO2:Cu2+ nanocrystals exhibit a superior bifunctional catalytic performance for CO oxidation and selective catalytic reduction of NO. Interestingly, CO oxidation reactivity over the CeO2:Cu2+ nanocrystals was found to be dependent on the Cu2+ dopants and BET surface area. By tuning the content of Cu2+ and BET surface area through choosing different organic ligands, the 100% conversion temperature of CO over CeO2:Cu2+ nanocrystals obtained from thermolysis of CeCu–BPDC nanocrystals can be decreased to 110 °C. The porous nanomaterials show a high CO conversion rate without any loss in activity even after five cycles. Furthermore, the activity of the catalysts for NO reduction increased with the increase of BET surface, which is in accordance with the results of CO oxidation.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the cardioprotection of remote ischemic postconditioning (RIPostC) in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) who underwent primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). METHODS Forty-six STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI at Peking University Third Hospital from January to April 2014 were randomized to RIPostC group (n=23) and control group (n=23).The RIPostC protocol was started within 1 min after reflow by thrombus aspiration or balloon inflation and consisted of 3 cycles of 5 min/5 min ischemia/reperfusion by cuff inflation/deflation of the lower left limb. The enzymatic infarct size, rate of complete ST segment resolution, corrected thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) frame count (CTFC) in infarct-related artery (IRA) and plasma levels of malondialdehyde(MDA), endothelin-1(ET-1), tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα) of the two groups were compared. RESULTS There was no significant difference in enzymatic infarct size between the two groups (P>0.05). The rate of complete ST-segment resolution was significantly higher in RIPostC group than in control group (60.9%vs. 30.4%,P=0.04). There was a trend toward lower CTFC in RIPostC group than that in control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(28 ± 11 vs. 33 ± 11, P = 0.10). However, in the subgroup of anterior wall myocardial infarction CTFC in RIPostC group was significantly lower, compared with control group (25±9 vs. 39±10, P=0.01).There were lower plasma levels of MDA,ET-1,TNFα in RIPostC group than in control group at different time points after primary PCI (P<0.05). CONCLUSION In STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI, RIPostC may improve myocardial perfusion and attenuate ischemia reperfusion injury with the underlying mechanisms involving reduction of oxidative stress, protection of endothelial function and inhibition of inflammatory response.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to separate, purify, and identify Salmonella paratyphi A flagellin, and to prepare its antisera. Primary flagellin was isolated from S. paratyphi A using the acid lysis method. The flagellin was purified with weak anion exchange chromatography and the protein was identified with sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE), Western blot, and negative staining with phosphotungstic acid with scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The production of the obtained flagellin was then quantified. New Zealand white rabbits were then immunized with the isolated flagellin, the presence of serum anti-flagellin antibodies was assessed with the immunoblot test, and its potency was determined with the double immunodiffusion test. The results of SDS-PAGE showed that the molecular weight (m.w.) of the purified flagellin was 52 x 10(3). The immunoblot test also showed a band at 52 x 10(3) m.w. The SEM results showed that the flagellin was filamentous. These three results showed that the protein was homogeneous. The protein quantification analysis found that 4.8 ± 0.5 mg flagellin could be extracted per 1 g wet weight bacteria. The titer of the anti-flagellin antiserum was 1:64. Through this method, we obtained high productions of flagellin, which could be easily purified, identified, and prepared into high titer antiserum.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to establish the reference intervals (RIs) of total bilirubin (TBIL), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate transaminase (AST), and creatinine (CREA) for apparently healthy elderly (Han ethnicity) in Shuyang, China. MATERIAL AND METHODS A total of 54 912 blood specimens from elderly residents age 65-104 years were collected by standard procedures in Shuyang county of Jiangsu province. TBIL, ALT, AST, and CREA for each participant were determined by automatic biochemical analyzer. Distribution and differences of TBIL, ALT, AST, and CREA were analyzed and compared between the elderly of the same age of different sexes and different ages of the same sex. RIs of TBIL, ALT, AST, and CREA were compared with the current RIs. The RIs and 95% confidence intervals were calculated using nonparametric method (2.5th-97.5th percentiles) according to the guideline of the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute. RESULTS RIs established for the healthy elderly include: TBIL 7.8~30.6 µmol/L for males and 7.3~26.1 µmol/L for females; ALT 8.7~47.3 U/L for males and 8.4~45.2 U/L for females; AST 15.7~46.9 U/L for males and 15.1~46.2 U/L for females; and CREA 45.1~100.9 µmol/L for males and 38.7~85.0 µmol/L for females. Reference intervals of TBIL, ALT, AST, and CREA for male elderly were higher than those of females, and values of CREA increased with increasing age. CONCLUSIONS We have established a panel of locally relevant RIs. It is necessary to establish scientific and reasonable RIs of TBIL, ALT, AST, and CREA for the healthy elderly in our region, which will provide a reference for clinicians and inspection officers.

Abstract
Occurrence and methods for the removal of nonylphenolic compounds in drinking water have been gaining increased attention due to their widespread presence in natural water and the potential health risks from the consumptions of drinking water. The purpose of this study was to assess the occurrence of nonylphenol (NP), octylphenol (OP), and bisphenol-A (BPA) in water sources and treated water in Taiwan, to evaluate the treatment efficiencies of these compounds in both the conventional (coagulation, sedimentation, filtration and chlorination) and advanced treatment processes. The treatment efficiencies of these chemicals were assessed based on their concentrations in water sources, and the results were verified with laboratory simulated treatment processes. A survey of NP, OP, and BPA in 11 Taiwanese water sources showed that all of them could be identified in most of the sampled sources, and that higher concentrations of NP were found when the raw water was contaminated by domestic wastewater. However, higher treatment efficiency could be observed when the NP concentration in water source is high. Laboratory simulation studies of conventional treatment processes showed that chlorination played an important role in the degradation of NP in raw water. Treatment efficiencies of 60%-90% were achieved for NP removal when sufficient chlorine dosages were applied to satisfy chlorine demands. However, results also showed that conventional coagulation and rapid filtration processes were less effective in the reduction of phenolic compounds in water.

Abstract
Streptomyces transglutaminase (TGase) has been widely used in food, pharmaceutical and textile industries. Streptomyces TGase is naturally synthesized as zymogen (pro-TGase), which is then processed to produce active enzyme by removing its N-terminal pro-peptide. Although the pro-peptide is essential for TGase folding and secretion, few studies have been reported on improving the properties of TGase by pro-peptide engineering. In this study, we developed a new approach to improve the properties of TGase based on pro-peptide engineering. When the α-helix37G−42S in pro-peptide was substituted with three glycines and three alanines respectively, the mutants exhibited higher specific activity and the efficiency of pro-peptide cleavage was enhanced. To further improve the properties of TGase, relevant mutations were constructed by introducing linker peptides in the C-terminus of the pro-peptide. Mutants with GS (GGGGS) and PT (PTPPTTPT) linker peptide exhibited 1.28 fold and 1.5 fold higher specific activity than the wild-type enzyme, respectively. This new method could be used to improve the properties of TGase by pro-peptide modification, which is a promising technology for creating unique TGase with various beneficial properties.
