Abstract
AIMS To assess the effect of the translocator protein 18 kDa (TSPO) on postpartum depression and explore its mechanism. METHODS Postpartum depression (PPD) mouse model was established, and flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, Western blot analysis, real-time quantitative PCR, adeno-associated virus (AAV), co-immunoprecipitation-mass spectrometry and immunofluorescence co-staining were used to detect the effect of TSPO ligand ZBD-2 on PPD mice. RESULTS ZBD-2 inhibits the overactivation of microglia in the hippocampus and amygdala of PPD model mice. ZBD-2 not only inhibited the inflammation but also repressed the burst of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and mitochondrial ROS (mtROS). Meanwhile, ZBD-2 protects mitochondria from LPS-induced damages through inhibiting the influx of calcium. ZBD-2 modulated the calcium influx by increasing the level of translocase of the outer mitochondrial membrane 40 (TOM40) and reducing the interaction of TSPO and TOM40. In addition, the effect of ZBD-2 was partially dependent on anti-oxidative process. Knockdown of TOM40 by adeno-associated virus (AAV) in the hippocampus or amygdala dramatically reduced the effect of ZBD-2 on PPD, indicating that TOM40 mediates the effect of ZBD-2 on PPD. CONCLUSIONS TOM40 is required for the effect of ZBD-2 on treating anxiety and depression in PPD mice. This study reveals the role of microglia TSPO in PPD development and provides the new therapeutic strategy for PPD.

Abstract
The beneficial effects of exercise on human brain function have been demonstrated in previous studies. Myokines secreted by muscle have attracted increasing attention because of their bridging role between exercise and brain health. Regulated by PPARγ coactivator 1α, fibronectin type III domain-containing protein 5 releases irisin after proteolytic cleavage. Irisin, a type of myokine, is secreted during exercise, which induces white adipose tissue browning and relates to energy metabolism. Recently, irisin has been shown to exert a protective effect on the central nervous system. Irisin secretion triggers an increase in brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels in the hippocampus, contributing to the amelioration of cognition impairments. Irisin also plays an important role in the survival, differentiation, growth, and development of neurons. This review summarizes the role of irisin in neurodegenerative diseases and other neurological disorders. As a novel positive mediator of exercise in the brain, irisin may effectively prevent or decelerate the progress of neurodegenerative diseases in models and also improve cognitive functions. We place emphasis herein on the potential of irisin for prevention rather than treatment in neurodegenerative diseases. In ischemic diseases, irisin can alleviate the pathophysiological processes associated with stroke. Meanwhile, irisin has anxiolytic and antidepressant effects. The potential therapeutic effects of irisin in epilepsy and pain have been initially revealed. Due to the pleiotropic and beneficial properties of irisin, the possibility of irisin treating other neurological diseases could be gradually explored in the future.

Abstract
Exercise not only builds up our body but also improves cognitive function. Skeletal muscle secretes myokine during exercise as a large reservoir of signaling molecules, which can be considered as a medium between exercise and brain health. Irisin is a circulating myokine derived from the Fibronectin type III domain-containing protein 5 (FNDC5). Irisin regulates energy metabolism because it can stimulate the "Browning" of white adipose tissue. It has been reported that irisin can cross the blood-brain barrier and increase the expression of a brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in the hippocampus, which improves learning and memory. In addition, the neuroprotective effect of irisin has been verified in various disease models. Therefore, this review summarizes how irisin plays a neuroprotective role, including its signal pathway and mechanism. In addition, we will briefly discuss the therapeutic potential of irisin for neurological diseases.

Abstract
Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is one of the most common psychiatric diseases, which is characterized by the typical symptoms such as re-experience, avoidance, and hyperarousal. However, there are few drugs for PTSD treatment. In this study, conditioned fear and single-prolonged stress were employed to establish PTSD mouse model, and we investigated the effects of Tanshinone IIA (TanIIA), a natural product isolated from traditional Chinese herbal Salvia miltiorrhiza, as well as the underlying mechanisms in mice. The results showed that the double stress exposure induced obvious PTSD-like symptoms, and TanIIA administration significantly decreased freezing time in contextual fear test and relieved anxiety-like behavior in open field and elevated plus maze tests. Moreover, TanIIA increased the spine density and upregulated synaptic plasticity-related proteins as well as activated CREB/BDNF/TrkB signaling pathway in the hippocampus. Blockage of CREB remarkably abolished the effects of TanIIA in PTSD model mice and reversed the upregulations of p-CREB, BDNF, TrkB, and synaptic plasticity-related protein induced by TanIIA. The molecular docking simulation indicated that TanIIA could interact with the CREB-binding protein. These findings indicate that TanIIA ameliorates PTSD-like behaviors in mice by activating the CREB/BDNF/TrkB pathway, which provides a basis for PTSD treatment.

Abstract
Depression is a kind of common mental disorder associated with neuroinflammation, and astrocytes play a vital role in regulating and mediating neuroinflammation in central nervous system. Scutellarin has significant anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects. However, whether scutellarin exerts antidepressant effect remains unknown. In present study, it was found that scutellarin suppressed LPS-induced neuroinflammation in the hippocampus and alleviated depression-like behaviors in mice. In addition, scutellarin inhibited LPS-induced elevation of TNFα, IL-1β, IL-6 and iNOS, and reversed the downregulation of IL-4 and BDNF in astrocytes in vitro. Furthermore, the activated TLR4/NF-κB pathway in LPS-treated astrocytes was suppressed by scutellarin. Collectively, these results suggest that scutellarin ameliorates depression-like behaviors induced by neuroinflammation partially through inhibiting the TLR4/NF-κB pathway in astrocytes.

Abstract
Objective: To examine the trend of stroke disease burden and its main risk-attributable factors in China and regions with different Socio-Demographic Index (SDI) from 1990 to 2017. Methods: With 2017 Global Burden of Disease (GBD) data, years lived with disability (YLDs), years of life lost (YLLs) and disability-adjusted of life years (DALYs) were applied to describe the disease burden and major risk factors of stroke in China and different SDI regions from 1990 to 2017, and to analyze the changing trend of the disease burden and major risk factors of stroke. Results: From 1990 to 2017, the YLD crude rate, YLL crude rate and DALY crude rate for stroke in China showed an increasing trend and the rate of change was 126.5%, 14.6%, and 24.4%, respectively. In 2017, the YLD crude rate, YLL crude rate and DALY crude rate for stroke in China were 502.6 per 100 000, 2 633.1 per 100 000 and 3 135.7 per 100 000, respectively. Among them, the YLD crude rate, YLL crude rate, and DALY crude rate of stroke were the highest in the ≥70 age group, which were 2 617.2 per 100 000, 16 789.4 per 100 000 and 19 406.6 per 100 000, respectively. The YLD crude rate in male was 475.5 per 100 000, which was slightly lower than that of female (530.9 per 100 000), while the DALY crude rate and YLL crude rate for stroke were 3 657.1 per 100 000 and 3 181.7 per 100 000, respectively, which were significantly higher than that of female (2 591.8 per 100 000 and 2 060.9 per 100 000). Compared with regions with different SDI, the age standardized YLD rate, the age standardized YLL rate, the age standardized DALY rate in China were all at a high level. Among them, the age-standardized YLD rate increased from 286.2 per 100 000 to 374.5 per 100 000, with a rate of change of 30.9%; the age-standardized YLL rate decreased from 3 215.6 per 100 000 to 1 967.8 per 100 000, with a rate of change of -38.8%; the age-standardized DALY rate increased from 3 501.8 per 100 000 to 2 342.3 per 100 000, with a rate of change of -33.1%. The top five risk factors for stroke in China were hypertension, excessive sodium intake, insufficient fruit intake, insufficient cereal intake, and smoking in 1990 and 2017. High Body-Mass Index and Alcohol Use's rankings rose from the 9th and 10th in 1990 to the 6th and 7th in 2017, respectively. Conclusion: The burden of stroke disease in China is at a high level, and hypertension is the primary risk factor.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the diagnosis method of Gilbert syndrome (GS) and the relationship between UGT1A1 gene polymorphism distribution with serum bilirubin. Methods: Clinical data of 115 GS cases diagnosed in our hospital from January 2013 to November 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. Chi-square test, Fisher's exact probability method, t-test, and non-parametric test were used for data analysis. Results: 115 cases with GS had an average age of (36.89 ± 12.77) years and an average serum total bilirubin level of (44.01 ± 18.78) μmol/L.UGT1A1*28/*28 (21, 18.3%), UGT1A1*1/*28 (17, 14.8%), and UGT1A1*1/*6 (17, 14.8%) were the most common single-site mutations. UGT1A1*1/*28 + *1/*6 (26, 22.6%), UGT1A1*28/*28 + *1/*27 (5, 4.3%) and UGT1A1*1/*28 + *1/*6 + *1/* 27 (5, 4.3%) were the most common multiple-site mutations. Among 110 cases with Gilbert syndrome combined with non-hemolytic diseases, pairwise comparisons showed that the total bilirubin levels of patients with UGT1A1*28/*28 mutations were significantly higher than UGT1A1*6/*6 and UGT1A1*1/*28 + *1/*6 mutation (P < 0.05). Additionally, with the increase of UGT1A1*28 distribution, the serum total bilirubin level had gradually increased (P = 0.028), but UGT1A1*6 was opposite (P = 0.021). There were no significant differences in gene distribution and bilirubin level between GS group (67 cases) and GS combined with viral hepatitis group (32 cases) (P > 0.05). Conclusion: UGT1A1 gene sequencing detection is a simple, safe, specific and sensitive effective method to assist GS diagnosis. It can reduce the misdiagnosis and mistreatment of clinical jaundice, thus reducing the patients' psychological burden and saving the limited medical resources. It is worthy of clinical application.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the causes of disease among patients with liver disease hospitalized in Department of Infectious Diseases in our hospital and the changes in such causes within the past 20 years. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data of 7570 patients who were admitted to our hospital from January 1995 to December 2015. The chi-square test was used for the statistical analysis of constituent ratio. Results: Of all 7570 patients with liver disease, 4930 (65.13%) had viral hepatitis, 332 (4.39%) had immune disease, 215 (2.84%) had drug-induced liver injury, 192 (2.54%) had fatty liver disease, 88 (1.16%) had schistosome-induced liver disease, 160 (2.11%) had inherited metabolic diseases, and 20 (0.13%) had vascular disease; 689 (9.1%) still had no clear cause of disease at discharge. The proportion of patients with viral hepatitis was 77.61% in the first 10 years and 59.19% in the last 10 years (P < 0.01). As for liver disease caused by hepatotropic virus, there were significant increases in the proportion of patients with hepatitis C or hepatitis E from the first to the last 10 years (hepatitis C: 2.24% vs 15.56%, P < 0.01; hepatitis E: 18.61% vs 23.07%, P < 0.05), while there were significant reductions in the proportion of patients with hepatitis B (68.14% vs 60.01%, P < 0.05) or hepatitis A (10.7% vs 1.36%, P < 0.05). The proportion of patients with immune diseases was 0.82% in the first 10 years and 6.08% in the last 10 years (P < 0.01). There were also certain changes in the proportion of patients with liver disease caused by other reasons. Conclusion: There is a large proportion of patients with viral hepatitis among patients with liver disease hospitalized in Department of Infectious Diseases in a large general hospital, especially hepatitis B and E caused by hepatotropic virus. There is a certain change in the epidemiology of liver disease within the past 20 years, with a reduction in the proportion of patients with viral hepatitis and an increase in the proportion of patients with non-infectious liver diseases. There is a large proportion of patients with unknown causes of liver disease.

Abstract
目的 通过剂量递增的Ⅰ期临床试验,评价重组人-鼠嵌合抗CD20单克隆抗体注射液IBI301单次给药在经治疗达客观缓解的CD20+ B细胞非霍奇金淋巴瘤患者中的耐受性、安全性及药效学特征。 方法 纳入9例受试者,按剂量递增原则设125、375和500 mg/m2三个剂量组,每组3例逐组完成试验。3组受试者均接受单次IBI301静脉输注,125、375、500 mg/m2组IBI301的中位暴露量分别为243、690、980 mg。观察IBI301给药后不良事件(AE)发生情况。采用流式细胞术检测外周血CD19+、CD20+ B细胞比例,采用速率散射比浊法检测血清IgG、IgM水平,进行药效学评价。 结果 9例受试者发生52例次AE,包括:125 mg/m2组18例次,375 mg/m2组14例次,500 mg/m2组20例次。其中不良反应共26例次,22例次与试验药物可能有关,4例次可能无关;对症处理后均消失或恢复至基线水平。常见的AE包括WBC降低、上呼吸感染、ANC降低、消化不良、高尿酸血症、感觉异常、口腔黏膜炎和头晕。研究中未出现AE导致的用药暂停、受试者退出或试验提前中止,未发生严重AE(SAE)及剂量限制性毒性(DLT)事件。所有受试者CD20+、CD19+ B细胞比例均有不同程度下降,而IgG和IgM水平无明显变化。 结论 IBI301耐受性良好,受试者出现的不良反应均恢复,未发生SAE及DLT事件。IBI301对CD20+ B细胞有较好的清除作用。

Abstract
Here we evaluated the anti-hepatocellular carcinoma activity by the Jujube leaf green tea extracts (JLGTE). We showed that JLGTE exerted anti-proliferative, cytotoxic and pro-apoptotic activities against HepG2 and primary human hepatocellular carcinoma cells. It was however non-cytotoxic to the normal hepatocytes. JLGTE activated AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) signaling, which was required for its cytotoxicity against hepatocellular carcinoma cells. Silence of AMPKα1, via targeted short hairpin RNAs or CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing, inhibited JLGTE-induced AMPK activation and HepG2 cell apoptosis. Further, in-activation of AMPK by a dominant negative AMPKα1 (T172A) also alleviated JLGTE's cytotoxicity against HepG2 cells. On the other hand, forced-activation of AMPK by introduction of a constitutively-active AMPKα1 (T172D) mimicked JLGTE's actions and led to HepG2 cell apoptosis. These results suggest that JLGTE inhibits human hepatocellular carcinoma cells possibly via activating AMPK.

Abstract
Objective: To observe the long-term outcomes after congenital cataract surgery performed prior to 36 months of age. Methods: A retrospective case study was conducted. Thirty-two cases (57 eyes) of congenital cataract were included from January 2004 to January 2012. All patients received intraocular lens (IOL) implantation with posterior continuous curvilinear capsulorhexies and anterior vitrectomy after cataract extraction and were followed up. At the last visit, the best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was determined and postoperative complications were evaluated during follow-up with a longest time of 13 years. Non-normal distribution showed in median M (minimum and maximum). Data were analyzed by Kruskal Wallis single factor variance analysis and multiple comparison. The independent Mann-Witney U test was used to analyze non-normal distribution data. Results: There were thirty-two cases (57 eyes) of congenital cataract including 7 unilateral cases and 25 bilateral cases. The median age at cataract extraction was 6.0months; the median IOL implantation age was 28.0 months and the median duration of follow-up after cataract extraction was 67.0 months. The median postoperative BCVA was (LogMAR) 0.52. Unilateral and bilateral cataract postoperative BCVA difference had no statistical significance (U=107, P>0.05). Patients received cataract surgery in 2 to 4 months, the postoperative BCVA was better than in 5 to 8 months. The difference was statistical significance (H=-15.33, P<0.05). BCVA after IOL implantation before 24 months were significantly better than after 30 months. The difference had statistical significance(H=-20.61,-20.78, P<0.05). Postoperative complications were posterior capsular opacity (5 eyes; 8.77%), glaucoma (2 eyes; 3.51%), strabismus (17 eyes; 29.82%) and nystagmus (30 eyes; 52.63%). Conclusions: Most infantile cataract surgeries performed prior to 36 mouths of life together with the implantation of IOL can achieve good visual acuity. No serious complications occurred. Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explored the diagnosis and treatment of chronic neutrophilic leukemia (CNL) complicated with multiple myeloma (MM). METHODS The clinical features and molecular biological characteristics of 2 patients with CNL complicated with MM were summarized, and the diagnosis and treatment of the patients were retrospectively reviewed. RESULTS The diagnosis of CNL complicated with MM was established in 2 cases. Case 1 had CSF3R mutation (P733T), but CSF3R-exon 14 mutation and SETBP1 mutation were all negative. The neutrophil count returned to normal when MM was successfully treated in case 1. When the patient relapsed, neutrophil count increased again. CONCLUSION Coexistence of CNL and MM is rare. CSF3R is a very important molecular marker for CNL. To the best of our knowledge, it's the first time to report the coexistence of CNL and MM carried CSF3R mutation (P733T). Chemotherapy regimens for MM may be effective in the treatment of CNL complicated with MM.

Abstract
The paper focused on the leaching behaviour of uranium (U) and thorium (Th) from uranium mill tailing collected from the Uranium Mill Plant in Northern Guangdong Province, China. Distilled water (pH 6) and sulphuric acid solution (pH 4 and 3) were used as solvent for the leaching over 22 weeks. It was found that the cumulative leach fraction from the mill tailing was 0.1, 0.1 and 0.7 % for U release, and overall 0.01 % for Th release, using distilled water, sulphuric acid solution of pH 4 and pH 3 as leaching agents, respectively. The results indicate that (1) the release of U and Th in uranium mill tailing is a slow and long-term process; (2) surface dissolution is the main mechanism for the release of U and Th when sulphuric acid solution of pH 3 is employed as the leaching agent; (3) both U and Th are released by diffusion when using sulphuric acid solution of pH 4 as the leaching agent and (4) U is released by surface dissolution, while Th is released by diffusion when using distilled water as the leaching agent. The implication for radiological risk in the real environment was also discussed.

Abstract
This work aims to investigate removal efficiency of oxidation and coagulation/flocculation processes, to provide an effective method for the treatment of biologically pre-treated leachate. Leachate containing 985 mg L(-1) COD was treated by using three treatment schemes, i.e. oxidation, coagulation/flocculation and the combined process of coagulation/flocculation followed by oxidation. The application of single oxidation resulted in the effective removal of COD and color up to 80.4 and 83.2%, respectively. However, residual COD values lower than 200 mg L(-1) could only be achieved under intensive experimental conditions (high dosage of Ca(ClO)(2) and prolonged oxidation time). Coagulation/flocculation yielded residual COD values higher than 200 mg L(-1) even at the optimum coagulation conditions. The combined treatment by coagulation/flocculation followed by oxidation yielded final COD lower than 100 mg L(-1) at the following conditions: pre-coagulation with 250 mg L(-1) PFS (poly-ferric sulfate) and over 30-min post-oxidation, or pre-coagulation with 300 mg L(-1) PFS and over 20-min post-oxidation. Hence, pre-coagulation with PFS followed by oxidation with Ca(ClO)(2) was recommended for advanced treatment of biologically treated leachate.

Abstract
A staphylococcus aureus protein A co-operated ELISA (SPA-ELISA) for the detection of anti-HCV-IgM has been established using HCV antigenic polypeptide, SPA-bearing germs and horseradish peroxidase labelled anti-human IgM. The specificity of SPA-ELISA has been confirmed by some substitution tests, blocking tests and destroying test with 2-mercaptoethanol. The results showed that the rate of anti-HCV-IgG in a group of patients with acute hepatitis and there were significant difference in anti-HCV-IgM was higher than that of anti-HCV-IgM detected rates between patients with acute hepatitis and those with chronic hepatitis (32.26%, P < 0.01). On the other hand, the positive rates of anti-HCV-IgM were 53.66% and 63.41% in transfusion associated hepatitis, 38.10% and 42.86% in sporadic hepatitis, 6.11% and 16.33% in people who have had active social activities, 40.00% and 10.00% in a group of blood donors respectively. Furthermore, taking into account the characteristics of HCV polypeptide used, its easiness of manipulation, and elimination of the interference of anti-HCV-IgG in sera, the new SPA-ELISA is believed to be of practical value in clinical and epidemiological studies of hepatitis C.

Abstract
Fourteen young Chinese marmots (Marmota bobak sibirica Radde) were randomly allocated to two groups of seven each. They were injected intrahepatically with a standard woodchuck hepatitis virus challenge pool or a negative pool, prepared from sera of woodchucks with and without woodchuck hepatitis virus infection, respectively. Marmot No. 2 in the experimental group experienced an episode of seroconversion from woodchuck hepatitis surface antigen to anti-woodchuck hepatitis antibody. Woodchuck hepatitis virus DNA was detected, and woodchuck hepatitis surface antigen particles of both spherical and filamentous forms and intact woodchuck hepatitis virus virions were found in its serum. By contrast, none of the control group animals (receiving the negative pool) produced any marker of woodchuck hepatitis virus. This suggests that young Chinese marmots can get woodchuck hepatitis virus infection.
