Abstract
Antioxidants play a very important role in the food industry. Recently, both science and industry have shown substantial preference for natural antioxidants, including searching for antioxidant substances from natural sources without undesirable side effects. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of adding Allium cepa husk extract at a volume of 68 or 34 μL/g of unsalted blanched materials to replace 34% and 17% of the beef broth, respectively, which corresponded to a total antioxidant capacity (TAC) of 44.4 or 22.2 μmol-equiv. Q/100 g meat pté (i.e., 13.42 or 6.71 mg of quercetin/100 g meat pté), on the quality and safety indicators of the developed meat pté. The TAC according to a ferric reducing antioxidant power assay, thiobarbituric acid reactive substances, and physicochemical and microbiological characteristics were determined during the storage of the meat pté. Proximal and UPLC-ESI-Q-TOF-MS analyses were also performed. The addition of yellow onion husk ethanolic extract to the meat pté at both volumes allowed the maintenance of an increased content of antioxidants, which contributed to a decrease in the generation of secondary products of lipid peroxidation for 14 days of storage at 4 ∘C. The results of the microbiological analyses showed that the developed meat ptés were safe according to all indicators of microbial spoilage within 10 days of production. The results supported the use of yellow onion husk extract in the food industry to contribute to improving the functionality of meat products, developing products for a healthy lifestyle, and providing clean-label foods without or with a minimal content of synthetic additives.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Atopic dermatitis (AD) might adversely affect academic performance, possibly through influences on psychological functioning such as stress resilience. OBJECTIVES To investigate the association of atopic dermatitis with stress resilience, cognitive function and educational attainment. METHODS We used data from a national cohort of men who underwent a military conscription examination at ages 17-20 years in Sweden between 1969 and 1976. All potential conscripts met a physician who assessed current or previous history of AD. Stress resilience was measured by a psychologist using a semistructured interview. The conscription assessment included a written cognitive function test. The highest level of education achieved was identified through record linkage. RESULTS The study population included 234 715 men, 1673 (0·7%) of whom had a diagnosis of AD. AD was associated with a greater risk of low stress resilience [adjusted relative risk ratio (RRR) 1·60, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1·38-1·86]. AD was associated with higher cognitive function (β-coefficient 0·15, 95% CI 0·05-0·24) and higher educational level (RRR 1·29, 95% CI 1·13-1·47). However, adjustment for socioeconomic characteristics of the family of origin attenuated the magnitude of the associations and eliminated the statistical significance (β-coefficient 0·06, 95% CI -0·03 to 0·15; RRR 1·16, 95% CI 1·00-1·35). CONCLUSIONS Swedish men with AD had lower stress resilience in late adolescence but did not have lower cognitive function or poorer educational attainment. The lower stress resilience associated with AD is consistent with an increased risk of possible long-term adverse health outcomes.

Abstract
Crystallization of thin polypropylene films was performed in isothermal, constant cooling-rate and mixed conditions. The experiments were first analyzed using the classical procedures based on simplified forms (Avrami, Ozawa) of the general Kolmogoroff-Avrami-Evans (KAE) theory. These analyses, which can be applied over an unusually wide transformation range, show that the crystallizations are actually 2 D. Then, a procedure has been established for the determination of the nucleation and growth parameters involved in the theoretical model presented in the first paper of this series. These parameters have been introduced into the model in order to predict the crystallization behavior in isothermal, constant-cooling-rate and mixed-conditions: transformed fraction, number of activated nuclei, final size distribution of semi-crystalline entities. A very good agreement is generally found between predictions and experimental results.

Abstract
The purpose of the present work is to introduce a crystallization law into Rem3D, a 3D code written in C++ and dedicated to the injection molding of polymers. We kept the basic hypotheses of Avrami's model and cast the kinetic equations into a differential system that is solved numerically. The variation of the density of potential nuclei with temperature is taken into account. Furthermore, the distribution of mean spherulite sizes can be deduced from the calculations. The second part of the paper is an experimental study of crystallization in well-controlled conditions (2D, isothermal or constant cooling-rate). It establishes a procedure for the determination of the nucleation and growth parameters used in the theoretical model, and gives a first validation of this model. Finally, the crystallization equations are introduced into Rem3D, in order to assess the feasibility of our new approach. Some typical results concerning the evolution of the transformed volume fraction in injection-molded parts are presented.
