Abstract
A recent study based on gonad histology revealed that the existence of the spawning grounds for Gray's grenadier anchovy (Coilia grayii) and Osbeck's grenadier anchovy (C. mystus) in the Min River Estuary, the largest in Fujian Province, southern China. Further confirming their natal sources and migratory patterns is essential to understand their life histories. We used otolith microchemistry to assess the origins and habitat uses of 23 C. grayii and 22 C. mystus, collected the Min River Estuary and the adjacent waters. The results showed that C. grayii spawned in both freshwater (n = 14) and brackish water (n = 9), and C. mystus spawned mainly in brackish water (n = 20) with minor in freshwater (n = 1) and marine water (n = 1). The migratory patterns of C. grayii (four types) and C. mystus (five types) were diverse, mainly exhibiting anadromous and semi-anadromous behaviors. The first migratory behavior of C. grayii and C. mystus occurred within the age of the first year. The findings have significant implications for fishery stock management of the Min River Estuary and its adjacent waters.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the quantitative changes of γδT cells in peripheral blood before and after anti-Brucella treatment in patients with chronic brucellosis. Methods: A prospective design was used to 88 patients with chronic brucellosis who were admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Tianjin from September 2012 to April 2018. The patients took anti-brucella drugs, And the changes in the number of γδT cell, CD3(+), CD4(+), CD8(+)T lymphocytes and CD4/8 in peripheral blood before treatment, 6 weeks and 12 weeks after treatment were analyzed. Thirty volunteers were selected as the healthy control group from Tianjin Second People's Hospital employee health checkup in 2014. Results: After 6 weeks antibacterial therapy, the counts of CD3(+), CD4(+) and CD8(+)T lymphocytes were significantly lower than before treatment in patients with chronic brucellosis (P<0.05) . After 12 weeks antibacterial therapy, the counts of γδT cell, CD3(+), CD4(+) and CD8(+)T lymphocytes were significantly lower than before treatment (P<0.05) , but CD4/8 was higher than before treatment in patients with chronic brucellosis (P<0.05) . Compared with healthy control group, after 6 weeks antibacterial treatment, the γδT cell count was still significantly higher, but the CD4(+)T lymphocyte count was lower (P<0.05) . After 12 weeks treatment, the γδT cell count was still significantly higher than that of the healthy control group (P<0.01) . Conclusion: γδ T cells, CD4(+), CD8(+) and CD3(+)T lymphocytes may play a role in human body resistance to chronic Brucella infection.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of the second-stage transcranial and transsphenoidal approach for giant pituitary tumors. Methods: A retrospective review of 21 patients, who had undergone the transcranial surgery and then transsphenoidal surgery for giant pituitary adenomas from 2012 to 2015 in the neurosurgery department of West China Hospital, was performed. Visual findings, endocrine presentation, complications, and tumor types were collected. All data were based on clinical feature, MRI, and follow-up. Results: Among the 21 cases, gross total resection of tumor was achieved in 7 of all patients, subtotal in 11, and partial in 3. No intracranial hemorrhage or death occurred postoperatively. Postoperative infectionoccurred in one patient and cerebrospinal fluid leakage occurred in 3 patients. Four patients recovered after treatment. Conclusion: According to the clinical feature and MRI, it is safe and effective to choose the transcranial surgery and then transsphenoidal surgery for specific giant pituitary adenomas, which can improve treatment effects and reduce postoperative complications.

Abstract
The Chinese Hwamei Garrulax canorus, a member of the family Leiothrichidae, is commonly found in central and southern China, northern Indochina, and on Hainan Island. In this study, we sequenced the complete mitochondrial genome of G. canorus. The circular mitochondrial genome is 17,785 bp in length and includes 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, and two ribosomal RNA genes. In addition, two copies of highly similar putative control regions were observed in the mitochondrial genome. As found in other vertebrates, most of the genes are coded on the H-strand, except for one protein-coding gene (nad6; NADH dehydrogenase subunit 6) and eight tRNA genes (tRNA(Gln), tRNA(Ala), tRNA(Asn), tRNA(Cys), tRNA(Tyr), tRNA(Ser(UCN)), tRNA(Pro), and tRNA(Glu)). All the protein-coding genes start with ATG, with the exception of cox1 (cytochrome oxidase subunit 1), which starts with GTG. All tRNA genes have the potential to fold into the typical clover-leaf structure. Conserved sequences in three domains were observed in the two putative control regions. These results provide basic information for future phylogenetic analyses among species of the order Passeriformes.
