Abstract
In an attempt to investigate its potential as a PDT [Formula: see text]F MRI molecular theranostic, a Zn phthalocyanine with 24 pseudo-equivalent fluorine atoms was designed and prepared. Compared to its H analogues, the fluorinated derivative has a much higher generation of singlet oxygen. [Formula: see text]F NMR signals in CDCl3 showed that all the fluorine atoms are magnetically pseudo-equivalent with only two close fluorine signals. Formulation in PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone), a FDA-approved additive, enabled water-solubilization of the phthalocyanines but no satisfying [Formula: see text]F NMR signal could be obtained, probably due to self-quenching caused by aggregation.

Abstract
Tetrasulfonated Zn phthalocyanine was conjugated to a ssDNA aptamer moiety to produce a HER2 targeted photosensitizer. The tetraconjugate obtained was subjected to purification and the monoconjugate was successfully isolated, purified and characterized. This monoconjugate retained the ability to bind to HER2 as well as the potency to generate singlet oxygen.

Abstract
The tumor micro-environment is rich in glutathione. To exploit this feature for tumor-activatable porphyrin-based photosensitizers, a dimeric disulfide-bridged porphyrin has been designed and prepared, together with two reference derivatives, a non-cleavable dimer and a monomer. The three compounds have been investigated from a photochemical and photophysical point of view. It appears that the disulfide-bridged derivative exhibited intramolecular aggregation, but to an insufficient extent to induce a satisfying self-quenching of its photoproperties. Unlike expected, the non-cleavable dimer behaved like the monomeric derivative, due to the superior flexibility of the alkyl bridge over the disulfide bridge.

Abstract
Porphyrin- or phthalocyanine-bridged silsesquioxane nanoparticles (BSPOR and BSPHT) were prepared. Their endocytosis in MCF-7 cancer cells was shown with two-photon excited fluorescence (TPEF) imaging. With two-photon excited photodynamic therapy (TPE-PDT), BSPOR was more phototoxic than BSPHT, which in contrast displayed a very high signal for photoacoustic imaging in mice.

Abstract
A phthalocyanine-chalcone conjugate was previously reported to retain the full photodynamic activity of the phthalocyanine and a slightly lowered antivascular effect of the chalcone. Assuming that it was due to an insufficient release of the chalcone, we described here several grafting modes applied to the preparation of phthalocyanine-chalcone conjugates.

Abstract
The design of a dendrimeric-like diglycerol-tetrasubstituted Zn ( II ) phthalocyanine resulted in a remarkably water-soluble compound due to the presence of 16 hydroxyls. Several parameters relevant to evaluate the photodynamic efficiency of a potentiel photosensitizer such as: aggregation behavior, fluorescence properties, singlet oxygen generation, binding to a carrier protein model (Bovine Serum Albumin) and partition coefficient have been measured. Biocompatibility was demonstrated by dark cytotoxicity in in vitro experiments. The absence of phototoxicity can be explained by an elevated hydrophilicity. All the collected data have confirmed that this new substitution pattern is promising to be used on phthalocyanines aiming at being photodynamic therapy agents.
