Abstract
BACKGROUND Alveolar bone defects caused by inflammation are an urgent issue in oral implant surgery that must be solved. Regulating the various phenotypes of macrophages to enhance the inflammatory environment can significantly affect the progression of diseases and tissue engineering repair process.
AIM To assess the influence of interleukin-10 (IL-10) on the osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) following their interaction with macrophages in an inflammatory environment.
METHODS IL-10 modulates the differentiation of peritoneal macrophages in Wistar rats in an inflammatory environment. In this study, we investigated its impact on the proliferation, migration, and osteogenesis of BMSCs. The expression levels of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) and its activated form, phosphorylated-STAT3, were examined in IL-10-stimulated macrophages. Subsequently, a specific STAT3 signaling inhibitor was used to impede STAT3 signal activation to further investigate the role of STAT3 signaling.
RESULTS IL-10-stimulated macrophages underwent polarization to the M2 type through substitution, and these M2 macrophages actively facilitated the osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs. Mechanistically, STAT3 signaling plays a crucial role in the process by which IL-10 influences macrophages. Specifically, IL-10 stimulated the activation of the STAT3 signaling pathway and reduced the macrophage inflammatory response, as evidenced by its diminished impact on the osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs.
CONCLUSION Stimulating macrophages with IL-10 proved effective in improving the inflammatory environment and promoting the osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs. The IL-10/STAT3 signaling pathway has emerged as a key regulator in the macrophage-mediated control of BMSCs’ osteogenic differentiation.

Abstract
Endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer (EAOC) is a unique subtype of ovarian malignant tumor originating from endometriosis (EMS) malignant transformation, which has gradually become one of the hot topics in clinical and basic research in recent years. According to clinicopathological and epidemiological findings, precancerous lesions of ovarian clear cell carcinoma (OCCC) and ovarian endometrioid carcinoma (OEC) are considered as EMS. Given the large number of patients with endometriosis and its long time window for malignant transformation, sufficient attention should be paid to EAOC. At present, the pathogenesis of EAOC has not been clarified, no reliable biomarkers have been found in the diagnosis, and there is still a lack of basis and targets for stratified management and precise treatment in the treatment. At the same time, due to the long medical history of patients, the fast growth rate of cancer cells, and the possibility of eliminating the earliest endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer, it is difficult to find the corresponding histological evidence. As a result, few patients are finally diagnosed with EAOC, which increases the difficulty of in-depth study of EAOC. This article reviews the epidemiology, pathogenesis, risk factors, clinical diagnosis, new treatment strategies and prognosis of endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer, and prospects the future direction of basic research and clinical transformation, in order to achieve stratified management and personalized treatment of ovarian cancer patients.

Abstract
The benefits of lingual orthodontics go beyond appearance. In this case study, a 30-year-old female patient was treated with a custom lingual orthodontic appliance for a Class II high-angle malocclusion, anterior open bite, incisor biprotrusion and crossbite, unilateral second molar scissor bite and dysfunctional tongue thrust. To achieve a counterclockwise rotation of the mandible, implant anchorage was used to control the vertical height. To complete the compensatory therapy, four first premolars were removed. As well as ensuring aesthetics over the 20-month treatment period, the treatment also established a Class I molar relationship, normal overbite and overjet, and improved the facial profile. After a five-year follow-up, the treatment results remained stable.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The article reviewed novel orthodontic devices and materials with bioactive capacities in recent years and elaborated on their properties, aiming to provide guidance and reference for future scientific research and clinical applications. DATA, SOURCES AND STUDY SELECTION Researches on remineralization, protein repellent, antimicrobial activity and multifunctional novel bioactive orthodontic devices and materials were included. The search of articles was carried out in Web of Science, PubMed, Medline and Scopus. CONCLUSIONS The new generation of orthodontic devices and materials with bioactive capacities has broad application prospects. However, most of the current studies are limited to in vitro studies and cannot explore the true effects of various bioactive devices and materials applied in oral environments. More research, especially in vivo researches, is needed to assist in clinical application. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE Enamel demineralization (ED) is a common complication in orthodontic treatments. Prolonged ED can lead to dental caries, impacting both the aesthetics and health of teeth. It is of great significance to develop antibacterial orthodontic devices and materials that can inhibit bacterial accumulation and prevent ED. However, materials with only preventive effect may fall short of addressing actual needs. Hence, the development of novel bioactive orthodontic materials with remineralizing abilities is imperative. The article reviewed the recent advancements in bioactive orthodontic devices and materials, offering guidance and serving as a reference for future scientific research and clinical applications.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The selection of treatment for maxillary expansion is closely related to the calcification degree of the midpalatal suture. A classification method for individual assessment of the morphology of midpalatal suture in cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is useful for evaluating the calcification degree. Currently, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have been introduced into the field of oral and maxillofacial imaging diagnosis. This study validated the ability of CNN models in assessing the maturation stage of the midpalatal suture. METHODS The existing CNN model ResNet50 was trained to locate the CBCT transverse plane which contained a complete midpalatal suture. ResNet18, ResNet50, RessNet101, Inception-v3, and Efficientnetv2-s models were trained to evaluate the midpalatal suture maturation stage. Multi-class classification metrics, accuracy, recall, precision, F1-score, and area under the curve values from the receiver operating characteristic curve were used to evaluate the performance of the models, and gradient-weighted class activation map technology was utilised to visualise five midpalatal suture maturation stages for each model. RESULTS Resnet50 demonstrated an accuracy of 99.74 % in identifying the transverse plane that contained the complete midpalatal suture. The highest accuracies achieved on the two-stage, three-stage, and five-stage maturation classification tests were 95.15, 88.06, and 75.37 %, all of which exceeded the average accuracy of three experienced orthodontists. CONCLUSIONS The CNN model can locate the plane of the midpalatal suture in CBCT images and can assist clinicians in assessing the maturation stage of the midpalatal suture to select the means of maxillary expansion. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE The application of artificial intelligence on CBCT midpalatal suture plane localisation and maturation stage evaluation enhances diagnostic and treatment efficiency and accuracy of individual assessment of midpalatal suture calcification degree. Additionally, it assists the clinical palatal expansion technique in achieving ideal results.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and traditional polymerase chain reaction (PCR) are the methods of choice in clinical practice to identify the mismatch repair (MMR) and microsatellite instability (MSI) status in colorectal cancer (CRC). In some previous researches, the concordance rate between two methods was different and discordance existed in about 1 %-9.7 %. METHODS We retrospectively reviewed 406 patients received surgical CRC resections and tests of both MMR IHC and MSI PCR from January 2019 to April 2022 in Shanghai Changzheng Hospital. The incidence of deficient mismatch repair (dMMR) or microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) CRCs, the concordance rate between two methods, and the reasons for discordant results were evaluated with clinicopathological data, immunochemical staining, whole-exome sequencing, and MLH1 methylation analysis. RESULTS Among 406 patients, the incidence of MSI-H CRCs was 7.88 %. Nearly a quarter of the cases under reexamination of IHC was initial misinterpreted. Besides, the concordance rate between MMR IHC and MSI PCR was 99.26 % (401 of 404) and the Kappa value was 0.945 (p < 0.001). Finally, some somatic variants of MMR and POLE genes which may explain the discordance were identified. CONCLUSION The incidence rate of MSI-H in Chinese patients with CRC might be relatively low owing to tumor location. Although MSI and IHC analyses are highly concordant, both MMR IHC and MSI PCR tests should be simultaneously performed and MMR IHC should be interpreted by experienced pathologists. In the future, further studies on discordant results should be carried out to improve the personalized management of CRC.

Abstract
Lead halide perovskite nanocrystals have emerged as a promising candidate for next-generation display applications due to their attractive optical properties and low-cost production. However, the environmental stability of perovskite remains a major challenge, hindering their practical applications and scalability for commercialization. In this study, we present an effective method to enhance the stability of CsPbBr3 nanocrystals by coating them with a combination of Al2O3 and a polymer. The unique double protection structure significantly improves their resistance to moisture, heat, and polar solvents. It is worth noting that compared with the ordinary CsPbBr3 nanocrystals, the modified nanocrystals have better stability and higher luminous intensity. After soaking in water for 360 hours, the modified nanocrystals retained 85% of their initial luminous intensity. Under optimal conditions, the luminous intensity of modified nanocrystals increased by 36%. Furthermore, the thermal stability and organic solvent resistance of the nanocrystals are improved compared with the nanocrystals uncoated with Al2O3. The synthesized white light emitting diode using the modified PNCs achieves a color gamut coverage rate of 129% under standard NTSC, and 95% under standard Rec.2020, indicating its potential for future display applications. This research presents a promising approach for the development of stable perovskite nanocrystals with enhanced performance in various optoelectronic devices.

Synchronous endometrial and ovarian carcinoma (SEOC) is the most common combination of primary double cancer in the female reproductive system. The etiology and pathogenesis of SEOC remain unclear, and clinically, it is often misdiagnosed as metastatic cancer, affecting the formulation of treatment plans and prognosis for patients. This article provides a review of its epidemiology, pathological and clinical characteristics, risk factors, pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.

Abstract
Fetomaternal hemorrhage (FMH) result into severe, life-threatening fetal anemia and cause intrauterine death of the fetus. It is tough for an early diagnosis of FMH before pregnancy and few authors reported FMH in a twin pregnancy. Therefore, we reported a case of massive FMH. The patient felt a decrease in fetal movements at 33+5 gestational weeks. Cardiotocography showed sinusoidal heart rate patterns in one fetus. The fetal hemoglobin level in maternal blood was 6.4% (normal range for single pregnancy, 0.0%-2.0%). Since the patient was diagnosed with fetal distress, cesarean section was performed and both babies delivered to receive neonatal treatment. Severe anemia was apparent in both neonates, based on red blood cell count, hemoglobin concentration, and hematocrit of 0.75 × 1012/L and 0.61 × 1012/L, 2.8 g/dL and 2.4 g/dL, and 10.0% and 8.4%, respectively. The neonates were admitted to the intensive care unit for prematurity care and presently are well. In our experience, an early diagnosis of FMH contributed to saving fetus. Obstetricians should highlight fetal movements counting to every patient. Once massive FMH occurs in monochorionic twins, both fetuses may develop severe anemia and require emergency intervention.

Abstract
Although studies have shown severe Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outcomes in patients with pre-existing coronary heart disease (CHD), the prognosis of COVID-19 patients with pre-existing CHD remains uncertain primarily due to the limited number of patients in existing studies. This study aimed to investigate the impacts of pre-existing CHD on the prognosis of COVID-19 patients. Five electronic databases were searched for eligible studies. This article focused on cohort and case-control studies involving the prognosis of COVID-19 patients with pre-existing CHD. The meta-analysis was performed using a random effects model. The odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used as valid indicators. The study was registered in PROSPERO with the identifier: CRD42022352853. A total of 81 studies, involving 157,439 COVID-19 patients, were included. The results showed that COVID-19 patients with pre-existing CHD exhibited an elevated risk of mortality (OR = 2.45; 95%CI: [2.04, 2.94], P < 0.001), severe/critical COVID-19 (OR = 2.57; 95%CI: [1.98, 3.33], P < 0.001), Intensive Care Unit or Coronary Care Unit (ICU/CCU) admission: (OR = 2.75, 95%CI: [1.61, 4.72], P = 0.002), and reduced odds of discharge/recovery (OR = 0.43, 95%CI: [0.28, 0.66], P < 0.001) compared to COVID-19 patients without pre-existing CHD. Subgroup analyses indicated that the prognosis of COVID-19 patients with pre-existing CHD was influenced by publication year, follow-up duration, gender, and hypertension. In conclusion, pre-existing CHD significantly increases the risk of poor prognosis in patients with COVID-19, particularly in those male or hypertensive patients.

Abstract
In recent years, all-inorganic cesium lead halide perovskite quantum dots have emerged as promising candidates for various optoelectronic applications, including sensors, light-emitting diodes, and solar cells, owing to their exceptional photoelectric properties. However, their commercial utilization has been limited by stability issues. In this study, we addressed this challenge by passivating the surface defects of CsPbBr3 quantum dots using indium acetate, a metal-organic compound. The resulting CsPbBr3 quantum dots exhibited not only high photoluminescence intensity, but also a remarkably narrow half-peak width of 19 nm. Furthermore, by embedding the CsPbBr3 quantum dots in ethylene-vinyl acetate, we achieved stretchability and significantly enhanced stability while preserving the original luminous intensity. The resulting composite film demonstrated the potential to improve the power conversion efficiency of crystalline silicon solar cells and enabled the creation of excellent white light-emitting diodes with coordinates of (0.33, 0.31). This co-passivation strategy, involving surface passivation and polymer packaging, provides a new idea for the practical application of CsPbBr3 quantum dots.

Abstract
Exosomes are nano-sized vesicles derived from the endosomal system and are involved in many biological and pathological processes. Emerging evidence has demonstrated that exosomes with cell-specific constituents are associated with the tumorigenesis and progression of ovarian cancer. Therefore, exosomes derived from ovarian cancers can be potential diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets. In this review, we briefly present the biological characteristics of exosomes and the recent advances in isolating and detecting exosomes. Furthermore, we summarise the many functions of exosomes in ovarian cancer, hoping to provide a theoretical basis for clinical applications of exosomes in the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer.

Abstract
Marine heatwaves (MHWs) are prolonged extreme warm water events in the ocean, exerting devastating impacts on marine ecosystems. A comprehensive knowledge of physical processes controlling MHW life cycles is pivotal to improve MHW forecast capacity, yet it is still lacking. Here, we use a historical simulation from a global eddy-resolving climate model with improved representation of MHWs, and show that heat flux convergence by oceanic mesoscale eddies acts as a dominant driver of MHW life cycles over most parts of the global ocean. In particular, the mesoscale eddies make an important contribution to growth and decay of MHWs, whose characteristic spatial scale is comparable or even larger than that of mesoscale eddies. The effect of mesoscale eddies is spatially heterogeneous, becoming more dominant in the western boundary currents and their extensions, the Southern Ocean, as well as the eastern boundary upwelling systems. This study reveals the crucial role of mesoscale eddies in controlling the global MHW life cycles and highlights that using eddy-resolving ocean models is essential, albeit not necessarily fully sufficient, for accurate MHW forecasts.

Abstract
Mitochondria are the primary source of energy production in cells, supporting the metabolic demand of tissue. The dysfunctional mitochondria are implicated in various diseases ranging from neurodegeneration to cancer. Therefore, regulating dysfunctional mitochondria offers a new therapeutic opportunity for diseases with mitochondrial dysfunction. Natural products are pleiotropic and readily obtainable sources of therapeutic agents, which have broad prospects in new drug discovery. Recently, many mitochondria-targeting natural products have been extensively studied and have shown promising pharmacological activity in regulating mitochondrial dysfunction. Hence, we summarize recent advances in natural products in targeting mitochondria and regulating mitochondrial dysfunction in this review. We discuss natural products in terms of their mechanisms on mitochondrial dysfunction, including modulating mitochondrial quality control system and regulating mitochondrial functions. In addition, we describe the future perspective and challenges in the development of mitochondria-targeting natural products, emphasizing the potential value of natural products in mitochondrial dysfunction.

Abstract
The Aspergillus series Nigri contains biotechnologically and medically important species. They can produce hazardous mycotoxins, which is relevant due to the frequent occurrence of these species on foodstuffs and in the indoor environment. The taxonomy of the series has undergone numerous rearrangements, and currently, there are 14 species accepted in the series, most of which are considered cryptic. Species-level identifications are, however, problematic or impossible for many isolates even when using DNA sequencing or MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry, indicating a possible problem in the definition of species limits or the presence of undescribed species diversity. To re-examine the species boundaries, we collected DNA sequences from three phylogenetic markers (benA, CaM and RPB2) for 276 strains from series Nigri and generated 18 new whole-genome sequences. With the three-gene dataset, we employed phylogenetic methods based on the multispecies coalescence model, including four single-locus methods (GMYC, bGMYC, PTP and bPTP) and one multilocus method (STACEY). From a total of 15 methods and their various settings, 11 supported the recognition of only three species corresponding to the three main phylogenetic lineages: A. niger, A. tubingensis and A. brasiliensis. Similarly, recognition of these three species was supported by the GCPSR approach (Genealogical Concordance Phylogenetic Species Recognition) and analysis in DELINEATE software. We also showed that the phylogeny based on benA, CaM and RPB2 is suboptimal and displays significant differences from a phylogeny constructed using 5 752 single-copy orthologous proteins; therefore, the results of the delimitation methods may be subject to a higher than usual level of uncertainty. To overcome this, we randomly selected 200 genes from these genomes and performed ten independent STACEY analyses, each with 20 genes. All analyses supported the recognition of only one species in the A. niger and A. brasiliensis lineages, while one to four species were inconsistently delimited in the A. tubingensis lineage. After considering all of these results and their practical implications, we propose that the revised series Nigri includes six species: A. brasiliensis, A. eucalypticola, A. luchuensis (syn. A. piperis), A. niger (syn. A. vinaceus and A. welwitschiae), A. tubingensis (syn. A. chiangmaiensis, A. costaricensis, A. neoniger and A. pseudopiperis) and A. vadensis. We also showed that the intraspecific genetic variability in the redefined A. niger and A. tubingensis does not deviate from that commonly found in other aspergilli. We supplemented the study with a list of accepted species, synonyms and unresolved names, some of which may threaten the stability of the current taxonomy. Abstract
Advanced or metastatic cervical cancer has a poor prognosis, and the 5-year overall survival is <5% with conventional radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Immunotherapy, particularly immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), achieved initial success in advanced solid tumors, while their efficacy and safety in advanced or metastatic cervical cancer remains to be explored. Previous studies found high-risk HPV infection and elevated PD-L1 expression in cervical precancerous lesions and squamous cell carcinoma. Meanwhile, elevated PD-L1 expression, high cytotoxic T lymphocyte infiltration, and abnormal cytotoxic T lymphocyte function might benefit inflammation infiltration for ICIs in the tumor microenvironment. Patients with HPV infection, squamous cell carcinoma, advanced stage, large tumor size, poor differentiation, metastatic disease, history of multiple childbirth and abortion, or a previous history of receiving chemotherapy might be associated with positive PD-L1 expression. Although there is no correlation between PD-L1 expression and prognosis using conventional radiotherapy, patients with high PD-L1 expression have a poorer prognosis. Several clinical studies demonstrate preliminary safety and efficacy for PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors, and the exploration of combination strategies such as immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, anti-angiogenesis therapy, or dual ICIs is ongoing. This paper systematically reviews PD-L1 expression patterns and their relationship with prognosis, along with reported and ongoing clinical trials of PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors in cervical cancer to clarify the prospect of ICIs for cervical cancer from bench to bed.

Abstract
Ovarian cancer, one of the most common gynecological malignancies, is characterized by high mortality and poor prognosis. Cytoreductive surgery and chemotherapy remain the mainstay of ovarian cancer treatment, and most women experience recurrence after standard care therapies. There is compelling evidence that ovarian cancer is an immunogenic tumor. For example, the accumulation of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes is associated with increased survival, while increases in immunosuppressive regulatory T cells are correlated with poor clinical outcomes. Therefore, immunotherapies targeting components of the tumor microenvironment have been gradually integrated into the existing treatment options, including immune checkpoint blockade, adoptive cell therapy, and cancer vaccines. Immunotherapies have changed guidelines for maintenance treatment and established a new paradigm in ovarian cancer treatment. Despite single immunotherapies targeting DNA repair mechanisms, immune checkpoints, and angiogenesis bringing inspiring efficacy, only a subset of patients can benefit much from it. Thus, the multi-immunotherapy investigation remains an active area for ovarian cancer treatment. The current review provides an overview of various clinically oriented forms of multi-immunotherapy and explores potentially effective combinational therapies for ovarian cancer.

Abstract
RATIONALE Mature cystic teratoma is the most common ovarian germ cell tumor. The malignant transformation of ovarian mature cystic teratoma (MCT) is very rare, but the prognosis is poor. We present a case of ovarian mature cystic teratoma with human papillomavirus infection and malignant transformation into ovarian squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The occurrence of this case may prove that high-risk human papillomavirus infection is a pathogenic factor inducing malignant transformation of mature cystic teratoma to SCC. PATIENT CONCERNS A 38-year-old woman with a solid cystic mass of 8 cm on the right ovary, and human papillomavirus (HPV) test of her cervix showed HPV-16 infection. DIAGNOSIS The transvaginal ultrasound was performed, and there was a cystic solid mass of 5.9 × 4.5 × 5.5 cm in the right adnexal area with unclear cystic fluid and rich blood flow signals in the capsule wall. HPV test of cervix showed HPV-16 infection. Diagnostic suspicion: cystic teratoma. INTERVENTION The patient signed an laparoendoscopic surgery was performed to remove the right ovarian mass. Intraoperative pathology consultation revealed the malignant transformation of mature teratoma of the right ovary and the formation of squamous or adeno-SCC. We performed laparoscopic comprehensive surgical staging (hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, omentectomy, appendectomy, pelvic and para-aortic lymph node dissection) were made. OUTCOMES The operation was successful and the postoperative recovery was smooth, was discharged 7 days after operation. Now the patient is recovering well and is continuing chemotherapy as planned. CONCLUSION HR-HPV infection might be a causal factor for inducing malignant transformation of ovarian MCT to SCC, and the Jumping metastasis of lymph nodes may be the characteristic of SCC-MCT, but further verification is still needed.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the occupational stress status of air traffic controllers (ATC) and analyze its influencing factors. Methods: By using cluster sampling method, 457 ATCs in an air traffic management bureau were selected as the investigation objects. The job content questionnaire (JCQ) and the effort reward imbalance questionnaire (ERI) were used to measure work requirements independent imbalance type and ERI type occupational stress separately and analyze the influencing factors. Results: Of the 457 ATCs, 81.84% (374/457) ATGs had work requirements independent imbalance type of occupational stress and 84.46% (386/457) ATGs had ERI type occupational stress. Univariate analysis showed that the factors of marital status, degree of education, age, length of service, title, job post, family monthly income, views on regular training, occurrence of emergency or unsafe events in last month and monthly night shift frequency had various degrees of influence on the different factor scores of JCQ and ERI (P<0.01) . Logistic regression analysis showed that the level of JCQ type occupational stress of ATCs with junior titles and probationers was higher than those of intermediate/senior titles (P=0.000, 0.000) ; The ERI type occupational stress of probationers and junior titles ATCs was lower than those with intermediate/senior titles (P=0.000) . The ERI and JCQ type occupational stress level of tower post ATCs was higher than that of other two job post ATCs (P=0.001, 0.000, 0.000, 0.000) . The ATCs considering regular training had more disadvantages than advantages showed lower ERI type occupational stress level than those considering more advantages than disadvantages (P=0.000) . The ERI type occupational stress level of ATCs who experienced emergency or unsafe events in last month was higher than those who didn't (P=0.007) . Conclusion: A large proportion of ATCs had occupational stress. Management should adjust its policies and pay were attention to occupational stress of ATLs.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The objective of this study was to investigate the characteristics of force degradation and surface morphology of 9 brands of elastic ligatures over 6 weeks, both in vivo and in vitro, to provide some reference for clinical selection of appropriate elastic ligatures and determination of appropriate follow-up visit time. METHODS Choosing 9 kinds of brands of elastic ligatures (American Orthodontics, Ormco, 3M Grey, TP Orthodontics, Xihu, Yahong, Creative, Protect, 3M dusty blue), which are common in the market. For the in vivo study, 9 volunteers (5 males, 4 females, aged 22-26 years) were chosen to wear elastic ligature fixators, which were made to fix the elastic ligature in the mouth without bonding brackets on the teeth. The residual force and percentage of force degradation of elastic ligatures were estimated after 0, 1 hour, 2 hours, 8 hours, 1 day, 2 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 6 weeks processed in vivo and in vitro (25°C dry air condition, 37°C artificial saliva, pH = 6.7 and oral environment); A 1-way analysis of variance and t test were used to identify statistical significance (P <0.05). The surface morphology of the initial state and after a 6-week process in vivo and in vitro were observed separately. RESULTS The characteristics of force degradation and surface morphology of 9 brands of elastic ligatures were different over 6 weeks; With the extension of time, the tensile force declined, and the percentage of force degradation of all groups decreased sharply by about 9.1%-32.3% in the first day, then the rate reduced steadily. In addition, during the first day, the percentage of force degradation declined most sharply in the first hour (4.4%-16.5%). The percentage of force degradation of 9 elastic ligatures was reduced by about 11.3%-37.3% over 6 weeks in all groups. At the same time, the characteristics of force degradation in the same brand are that in vivo > artificial saliva > air (P <0.05). After a 6-week process, the surface morphologic defects were aggravated under a scanning electron microscope, corresponding to the change of mechanical properties in each brand. CONCLUSIONS The mechanical properties of elastic ligatures are reduced with time extension and decreased greater in vivo than in vitro; According to the characteristics of force degradation of different brands of elastic ligatures, clinicians can choose the proper elastic ligatures at different stages of treatment, and adjust the follow-up visit time appropriately. For example, in alignment and leveling, the elastic ligatures with slow force degradation, such as Ormco, TP, and so on, maybe more suitable to ensure close contact between the archwire and the bracket. In the space-closing stage, the elastic ligatures with fast force degradation may be more appropriate to reduce the friction between the archwire and the bracket, such as 3M Grey, Yahong, Protect, and so on.

Abstract
Pure primary ovarian squamous cell carcinoma (oSCC) is very rare, with about 42 cases have been reported in the literature. Lacking effective treatment guidelines, the prognosis of oSCC is extremely poor. Here, we report a 52-year-old postmenopausal woman diagnosed with pure primary oSCC in our center. The patient received debulking surgery followed by chemotherapy with carboplatin, paclitaxel, and bevacizumab. The patient survived 11 months after surgery and died of tumor progression and multiple organ failure. We also present a review of the literature.

Abstract
Background Radical trachelectomy is an acceptable alternative to radical hysterectomy for patients with early-stage cervical cancer who wish to preserve reproductive function. This study is designed to compare the laparoscopic versus abdominal radical trachelectomy and provide oncological and obstetric outcome data on patients who have undergone fertility-sparing surgery.
Methods We retrospectively analyzed all early-stage cervical cancer patients who underwent abdominal radical trachelectomy (ART) or laparoscopic radical trachelectomy (LRT) between January 2005 and June 2017 in West China Second University Hospital, Sichuan University. Patients' clinical details and follow-up were obtained from hospital records. Results A total of 33 patients (5 with IA1, 2 with IA2, and 26 with 1B1) were included, including 18 patients treated with ART and 15 patients treated with LRT. The median age at initial diagnosis was 30.00 ± 4.30 years (range 22–39). The mean follow-up time was 74.67 months. Among the 33 patients, 2 patients (6.06%, 1 abdominal/1 laparoscopic) developed recurrence, and there are no evidence of disease for the remaining 31 patients till now. The overall survival rate 96.99% (32/33). The LRT group had a shorter hospital stay (P = 0.01) and less blood loss (P < 0.01) than the ART group. There is no significant difference in the length of operative time (P = 0.48) between the two surgical routes. Overall, 15/33 patients (45.45%) have tried to conceive. 6 (40.00%) patients were pregnant and 6 (40.00%) patients were infertility. The ART group had a higher clinical pregnancy rate (P = 0.03) than the LRT group.
Conclusions There is no statistically significant difference in oncological outcome between the two surgical approaches. The clinical pregnancy rate in the ART group was significant higher than that in the LRT group. However, LRT resulted in less blood loss and decreased length of hospital stay.

Abstract
Objectives This study aimed to identify key AAA-related m1A RNA methylation regulators and their association with immune infiltration in AAA. Furthermore, we aimed to explore the mechanism that m1A regulators modulate the functions of certain immune cells as well as the downstream target genes, participating in the progression of AAA. Methods Based on the gene expression profiles of the GSE47472 and GSE98278 datasets, differential expression analysis focusing on m1A regulators was performed on the combined dataset to identify differentially expressed m1A regulatory genes (DEMRGs). Additionally, CIBERSORT tool was utilized in the analysis of the immune infiltration landscape and its correlation with DEMRGs. Moreover, we validated the expression levels of DEMRGs in human AAA tissues by real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR). Immunofluorescence (IF) staining was also applied in the validation of cellular localization of YTHDF3 in AAA tissues. Furthermore, we established LPS/IFN-γ induced M1 macrophages and ythdf3 knockdown macrophages in vitro, to explore the relationship between YTHDF3 and macrophage polarization. At last, RNA immunoprecipitation-sequencing (RIP-Seq) combined with PPI network analysis was used to predict the target genes of YTHDF3 in AAA progression. Results Eight DEMRGs were identified in our study, including YTHDC1, YTHDF1-3, RRP8, TRMT61A as up-regulated genes and FTO, ALKBH1 as down-regulated genes. The immune infiltration analysis showed these DEMRGs were positively correlated with activated mast cells, plasma cells and M1 macrophages in AAA. RT-qPCR analysis also verified the up-regulated expression levels of YTHDC1, YTHDF1, and YTHDF3 in human AAA tissues. Besides, IF staining result in AAA adventitia indicated the localization of YTHDF3 in macrophages. Moreover, our in-vitro experiments found that the knockdown of ythdf3 in M0 macrophages inhibits macrophage M1 polarization but promotes macrophage M2 polarization. Eventually, 30 key AAA-related target genes of YTHDF3 were predicted, including CD44, mTOR, ITGB1, STAT3, etc. Conclusion Our study reveals that m1A regulation is significantly associated with the pathogenesis of human AAA. The m1A “reader,” YTHDF3, may participate in the modulating of macrophage polarization that promotes aortic inflammation, and influence AAA progression by regulating the expression of its target genes.

Abstract
Objective To identify the feature of N6-methyladenosine (m6A) methylation modification genes in acute aortic dissection (AAD) and explore their relationships with immune infiltration. Methods The GSE52093 dataset including gene expression data from patients with AAD and healthy controls was downloaded from Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database in order to obtain the differentially expressed genes (DEGs). The differentially methylated m6A genes were obtained from the GSE147027 dataset. The differentially expressed m6A-related genes were obtained based on the intersection results. Meanwhile, the protein-protein interaction (PPI) network of differentially expressed m6A-related genes was constructed, and hub genes with close relationships in the network were selected. Later, hub genes were verified by using the GSE153434 dataset. Thereafter, the relationships between these genes and immune cells infiltration were analyzed. Results A total of 279 differentially expressed m6A-related genes were identified in the GSE52093 and GSE147027 datasets. Among them, 94 genes were up-regulated in aortic dissection (AD), while the remaining 185 were down-regulated. As indicated by Gene Ontology (GO) functional enrichment and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analyses, these genes were mainly associated with extracellular matrix (ECM) and smooth muscle cells (SMCs). The seven hub genes, namely, DDX17, CTGF, FLNA, SPP1, MYH11, ITGA5 and CACNA1C, were all confirmed as the potential biomarkers for AD. According to immune infiltration analysis, it was found that hub genes were related to some immune cells. For instance, DDX17, FLNA and MYH11 were correlated with Macrophages M2. Conclusion Our study identifies hub genes of AD that may serve as the potential biomarkers, illustrates of the molecular mechanism of AD, and provides support for subsequent research and treatment development.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Women with advanced-stage high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) are likely to have a bad prognosis. Relapses are common in patients even with no evidence of disease after primary treatment. We aimed to identify the prognostic factors for disease recurrence in these patients. METHODS A nested case-control study was conducted in a large medical center in Southwest China. The primary outcome was recurrence of disease within 3 years after clinical remission (CR). Cox regression was used to calculate the time to event analysis in different groups. RESULTS Ninety-seven patients were finally included. Fifty-seven patients (58.8%) relapsed within 3 years after CR. Among all the variables, the difference in posttreatment CA-125 level was statistically significant (P <0.05) between the recurrent group and the progression-free group in both univariate and multivariable analysis. A cutoff value was set at the median level in the recurrent group (10 U/ml) to categorize patients into two arms. In Cox regression, the posttreatment CA-125 level was identified as a prognostic factor for recurrence with an OR of 1.05 (95% CI: 1.02-1.10, P = 0.033). The median time (from initiation of treatment) until relapse was 25 months for patients whose posttreatment CA-125 levels were higher than 10 U/ml, while it was undefined for patients whose posttreatment CA-125 level were ≤ 10 U/ml. Patients with a higher posttreatment CA-125 level showed an increased risk for OC relapse compared to those with a lower posttreatment CA-125 level. Furthermore, as shown in line graphs recording serum CA-125 levels during follow-up in each recurrent case, the increments of serum CA-125 levels were delayed in recurrent OC patients who had a posttreatment CA125 level ≤ 10 U/ml compared with those with a higher CA-125 level. CONCLUSION A low serum CA-125 level after primary treatment was a potential prognostic factor in women with advanced HGSOC.

Abstract
LncRNA-MIR210HG plays crucial roles in the progression of diverse cancers. However, the expression and function of MIR210HG in ovarian cancer remains unclear. In the present study, we aimed to determine the expression and function of lncRNA-MIR210HG in ovarian cancer under hypoxic conditions. MIR210HG expression in ovarian cancer cells under hypoxic conditions was determined by qPCR analysis, and the distribution was determined by FISH and qPCR analysis based on cell nucleus and cytosol RNA extraction. Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition (EMT) assay and human umbilical vein endothelial cell-based tube formation and migration assays were employed to determine the potential function of MIR210HG in vitro, followed by establishment of a subcutaneous tumor model in mice. The direct target of MIR210HG was determined by RNA pull-down and western blotting. Furthermore, the expression and clinical correlation of MIR210HG was determined based on malignant tissues from ovarian cancer patients. Our results indicated that MIR210HG was induced by hypoxia, which is HIF-1α dependent and mainly located in the cytosol of ovarian cancer cells. Knockdown of MIR210HG significantly inhibited EMT and tumor angiogenesis in vitro and impaired tumor growth in mice. Molecular investigations indicated that MIR210HG directly targets HIF-1α protein and inhibits VHL-dependent HIF-1α protein degradation in ovarian cancer. Further results demonstrated that MIR210HG was upregulated in ovarian cancer tissues and correlated with tumor progression and poor prognosis of ovarian cancer patients. Our study suggests that hypoxia-induced MIR210HG promotes cancer progression by inhibiting HIF-1α degradation in ovarian cancer, which could be a therapeutic target for ovarian cancer.

Abstract
Background Many studies on long chain non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are published in recent years. But the roles of lncRNAs in aortic dissection (AD) are still unclear and should be further examined. The present work focused on determining the molecular mechanisms underlying lncRNAs regulation in aortic dissection on the basis of the lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network. Methods This study collected the lncRNAs (GSE52093), mRNAs (GSE52093) and miRNAs (GSE92427) expression data within human tissue samples with aortic dissection group and normal group based on Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Results This study identified three differentially expressed lncRNAs (DELs), 19 differentially expressed miRNAs (DEmiRs) and 1046 differentially expressed mRNAs (DEGs) identified regarding aortic dissection. Furthermore, we constructed a lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA network through three lncRNAs (including two with up-regulation and one with down-regulation), five miRNAs (five with up-regulation), as well as 211 mRNAs (including 103 with up-regulation and 108 with down-regulation). Simultaneously, we conducted functional enrichment and pathway analyses on genes within the as-constructed ceRNA network. According to our PPI/ceRNA network and functional enrichment analysis results, four critical genes were found (E2F2, IGF1R, BDNF and PPP2R1B). In addition, E2F2 level was possibly modulated via lncRNA FAM87A-hsa-miR-31-5p/hsa-miR-7-5p or lncRNA C9orf106-hsa-miR-7-5p. The expression of IGF1R may be regulated by lncRNA FAM87A-hsa-miR-16-5p/hsa-miR-7-5p or lncRNA C9orf106-hsa-miR-7-5p. Conclusion In conclusion, the ceRNA interaction axis we identified is a potentially critical target for treating AD. Our results shed more lights on the possible pathogenic mechanism in AD using a lncRNA-associated ceRNA network.

Abstract
The development of high-performance memory devices has played a key role in the innovation of modern electronics. Non-volatile memory devices have manifested high capacity and mechanical reliability as a mainstream technology; however, their performance has been hampered by low extinction ratio and slow operational speed. Despite substantial efforts to improve these characteristics, typical write times of hundreds of micro- or milliseconds remain a few orders of magnitude longer than that of their volatile counterparts. Here we demonstrate non-volatile, floating-gate memory devices based on van der Waals heterostructures with atomically sharp interfaces between different functional elements, achieving ultrahigh-speed programming/erasing operations in the range of nanoseconds with extinction ratio up to 1010. This enhanced performance enables new device capabilities such as multi-bit storage, thus opening up applications in the realm of modern nanoelectronics and offering future fabrication guidelines for device scale up.

Abstract
The World Health Organization Surgical Safety Checklist was developed to improve communication in perioperative care, reduce mortality and complications of patients, and ensure the consistent use of procedures for safe surgery. Despite the increased awareness of the checklist, the implementation compliance is reported as low and the degree of completeness varies. This study aimed to explore the possible supportive factors for the effective implementation and to identify potential awareness and barriers to its implementation in gynecological and obstetrical operation.A survey using a cross-sectional design that included surgeons, anesthetists, and operating room nurses was performed. We used an online link to distribute the survey to all eligible surgical team members in our hospital. The survey contained various aspects of perceptions on the Surgical Safety Checklist and an open-ended question that allowed respondents to offer their opinions on the topic.The overall self-reported awareness of the checklist within each professional group was high. The awareness of surgeons was lower than that of operating room nurses, particularly in the Time-out section. Most participants believed that operating room nurses ranked the highest compliance to the protocols, while surgeons stayed the lowest. Active leadership with experienced operating room nurses, good training for surgical team members, and simplification of the checklist would be the positive factors for the effective implementation.Although there is a high acceptance and adequate self-reported awareness of the Surgical Safety Checklist, it is not always possible to implement it successfully. Our findings suggest that with experienced and effective leadership, barriers to implementation can be overcome. With positive perception and commitment, the Surgical Safety Checklist is easy to implement and it can make a profound improvement on the safety of surgical care. Moreover, a strategy of repetitive training and assessment on the part of the involved health care professionals may be necessary to further improve patients' safety during surgery.

Abstract
Cu-based SAPO-18, SAPO-18/34 intergrowth and SAPO-34 zeolites were applied for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx by ammonia (NH3-SCR) catalysts. Comprehensive characterization results revealed that the SAPO-18/34 with higher amount and strength of acid sites could facilitate the generation of more isolated copper ions (Cu2+ and Cu+) and suppress the formation of CuOx, which might account for the fact that intergrowth crystal structure of Cu-SAPO-18/34 exhibited higher fresh NH3-SCR activity, more robust hydrothermal durability and better SO2-resistance ability than that Cu-SAPO-18 and Cu-SAPO-34. In situ DRIFTS results provided the formation of reaction intermediates, such as -NH2, NH4+, NO3-, NO2-, etc. Eley-Rideal (E-R) and Langmuir-Hinshelwood (L-H) reaction mechanisms were both involved in Cu-based SAPO-18 and SAPO-18/34 intergrowth zeolites, but the L-H mechanism dominated the NH3-SCR reaction, in addition, Cu-SAPO-34 only followed "L-H" mechanism.
