Role of peritumoral tissue analysis in predicting characteristics of hepatocellular carcinoma using ultrasound-based radiomics. Sci Rep 2024; 14:11538. Abstract
Predicting the biological characteristics of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is essential for personalized treatment. This study explored the role of ultrasound-based radiomics of peritumoral tissues for predicting HCC features, focusing on differentiation, cytokeratin 7 (CK7) and Ki67 expression, and p53 mutation status. A cohort of 153 patients with HCC underwent ultrasound examinations and radiomics features were extracted from peritumoral tissues. Subgroups were formed based on HCC characteristics. Predictive modeling was carried out using the XGBOOST algorithm in the differentiation subgroup, logistic regression in the CK7 and Ki67 expression subgroups, and support vector machine learning in the p53 mutation status subgroups. The predictive models demonstrated robust performance, with areas under the curves of 0.815 (0.683-0.948) in the differentiation subgroup, 0.922 (0.785-1) in the CK7 subgroup, 0.762 (0.618-0.906) in the Ki67 subgroup, and 0.849 (0.667-1) in the p53 mutation status subgroup. Confusion matrices and waterfall plots highlighted the good performance of the models. Comprehensive evaluation was carried out using SHapley Additive exPlanations plots, which revealed notable contributions from wavelet filter features. This study highlights the potential of ultrasound-based radiomics, specifically the importance of peritumoral tissue analysis, for predicting HCC characteristics. The results warrant further validation of peritumoral tissue radiomics in larger, multicenter studies.

Abstract
Photovoltaic (PV) panels are one of the popular green energy resources and PV panel parameter estimations are one of the popular research topics in PV panel technology. The PV panel parameters could be used for PV panel health monitoring and fault diagnosis. Recently, a PV panel parameters estimation method based in neural network and numerical current predictor methods has been developed. However, in order to further improve the estimation accuracies, a new approach of PV panel parameter estimation is proposed in this paper. The output current and voltage dynamic responses of a PV panel are measured, and the time series of the I-V vectors will be used as input to an artificial neural network (ANN)-based PV model parameter range classifier (MPRC). The MPRC is trained using an I-V dataset with large variations in PV model parameters. The results of MPRC are used to preset the initial particles' population for a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. The PSO algorithm is used to estimate the PV panel parameters and the results could be used for PV panel health monitoring and the derivation of maximum power point tracking (MMPT). Simulations results based on an experimental I-V dataset and an I-V dataset generated by simulation show that the proposed algorithms can achieve up to 3.5% accuracy and the speed of convergence was significantly improved as compared to a purely PSO approach.

Abstract
The tumor microenvironment is a complex network of cells, extracellular matrix, and signaling molecules that plays a critical role in tumor progression and metastasis. Lymphatic and blood vessels are major routes for solid tumor metastasis and essential parts of tumor drainage conduits. However, recent studies have shown that lymphatic endothelial cells (LECs) and blood endothelial cells (BECs) also play multifaceted roles in the tumor microenvironment beyond their structural functions, particularly in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This comprehensive review summarizes the diverse roles played by LECs and BECs in HCC, including their involvement in angiogenesis, immune modulation, lymphangiogenesis, and metastasis. By providing a detailed account of the complex interplay between LECs, BECs, and tumor cells, this review aims to shed light on future research directions regarding the immune regulatory function of LECs and potential therapeutic targets for HCC.

Abstract
Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a fatal X-linked recessive disorder, which is caused mostly by frame-disrupting, out-of-frame variation in the dystrophin (DMD) gene. Loss-of- function mutations are the most common type of mutation in DMD, accounting for approximately 60-90% of all DMD variations. In this study, we used adenine base editing to generate a human embryonic stem cell line with splice-site mutations to mimic exon deletion variants in clinical Duchenne muscular dystrophy patients. This cell line has differentiation potential and a normal karyotypic.

Abstract
Objective: To explore potential predictors of refractory Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (RMPP) in early stage. Methods: The prospective multicenter study was conducted in Zhejiang, China from May 1st, 2019 to January 31st, 2020. A total of 1 428 patients with fever >48 hours to <120 hours were studied. Their clinical data and oral pharyngeal swab samples were collected; Mycoplasma pneumoniae DNA in pharyngeal swab specimens was detected. Patients with positive Mycoplasma pneumoniae DNA results underwent a series of tests, including chest X-ray, complete blood count, C-reactive protein, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), and procalcitonin. According to the occurrence of RMPP, the patients were divided into two groups, RMPP group and general Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (GMPP) group. Measurement data between the 2 groups were compared using Mann-Whitney U test. Logistic regression analyses were used to examine the associations between clinical data and RMPP. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to analyse the power of the markers for predicting RMPP. Results: A total of 1 428 patients finished the study, with 801 boys and 627 girls, aged 4.3 (2.7, 6.3) years. Mycoplasma pneumoniae DNA was positive in 534 cases (37.4%), of whom 446 cases (83.5%) were diagnosed with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia, including 251 boys and 195 girls, aged 5.2 (3.3, 6.9) years. Macrolides-resistant variation was positive in 410 cases (91.9%). Fifty-five cases were with RMPP, 391 cases with GMPP. The peak body temperature before the first visit and LDH levels in RMPP patients were higher than that in GMPP patients (39.6 (39.1, 40.0) vs. 39.2 (38.9, 39.7) ℃, 333 (279, 392) vs. 311 (259, 359) U/L, both P<0.05). Logistic regression showed the prediction probability π=exp (-29.7+0.667×Peak body temperature (℃)+0.004×LDH (U/L))/(1+exp (-29.7+0.667×Peak body temperature (℃)+0.004 × LDH (U/L))), the cut-off value to predict RMPP was 0.12, with a consensus of probability forecast of 0.89, sensitivity of 0.89, and specificity of 0.67; and the area under ROC curve was 0.682 (95%CI 0.593-0.771, P<0.01). Conclusion: In MPP patients with fever over 48 to <120 hours, a prediction probability π of RMPP can be calculated based on the peak body temperature and LDH level before the first visit, which can facilitate early identification of RMPP.

Abstract
Achieving flexible electronics with comfort and durability comparable to traditional textiles is one of the ultimate pursuits of smart wearables. Ink printing is desirable for e-textile development using a simple and inexpensive process. However, fabricating high-performance atop textiles with good dispersity, stability, biocompatibility, and wearability for high-resolution, large-scale manufacturing, and practical applications has remained challenging. Here, water-based multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)-decorated liquid metal (LM) inks are proposed with carbonaceous gallium-indium micro-nanostructure. With the assistance of biopolymers, the sodium alginate-encapsulated LM droplets contain high carboxyl groups which non-covalently crosslink with silk sericin-mediated MWCNTs. E-textile can be prepared subsequently via printing technique and natural waterproof triboelectric coating, enabling good flexibility, hydrophilicity, breathability, wearability, biocompatibility, conductivity, stability, and excellent versatility, without any artificial chemicals. The obtained e-textile can be used in various applications with designable patterns and circuits. Multi-sensing applications of recognizing complex human motions, breathing, phonation, and pressure distribution are demonstrated with repeatable and reliable signals. Self-powered and energy-harvesting capabilities are also presented by driving electronic devices and lighting LEDs. As proof of concept, this work provides new opportunities in a scalable and sustainable way to develop novel wearable electronics and smart clothing for future commercial applications.

Abstract
Importance The optimal timing for fixation of extremity fractures after traumatic brain injury (TBI) remains controversial. Objective To investigate whether patients who underwent extremity fixation within 24 hours of TBI experienced worse outcomes than those who had the procedure 24 hours or more after TBI. Design, Setting, and Participants This cohort study used data from the Collaborative European NeuroTrauma Effectiveness Research in Traumatic Brain Injury (CENTER-TBI) study. Patients 16 years or older with TBI who underwent internal extremity fixation met inclusion criteria. To compare outcomes, patients who underwent the procedure within 24 hours were propensity score matched with those who underwent it 24 hours or later. Patients were treated from December 9, 2014, to December 17, 2017. Data analysis was conducted between August 1, 2022, and December 25, 2023. Main Outcomes and Measures The primary outcome was an unfavorable functional status at 6 months (Glasgow Outcome Scale-Extended [GOSE] score ≤4). Results A total of 253 patients were included in this study. The median age was 41 (IQR, 27-57) years, and 184 patients (72.7%) were male. The median Injury Severity Score (ISS) was 41 (IQR, 27-49). Approximately half of the patients (122 [48.2%]) had a mild TBI while 120 (47.4%) had moderate to severe TBI. Seventy-four patients (29.2%) underwent an internal extremity fixation within 24 hours, while 179 (70.8%) had the procedure 24 hours or later. At 6 months, 86 patients (34.0%) had an unfavorable functional outcome. After propensity score matching, there were no statistically significant differences in unfavorable functional outcomes at 6 months (odds ratio [OR], 1.12 [95% CI, 0.51-1.99]; P = .77) in patients with TBI of any severity. Similar results were observed in patients with mild TBI (OR, 0.71 [95% CI, 0.22-2.29]; P = .56) and moderate to severe TBI (OR, 1.08 [95% CI, 0.32-3.70]; P = .90). Conclusions and Relevance The outcomes of extremity fracture fixation performed within 24 hours after TBI appear not to be worse than those of procedures performed 24 hours or later. This finding suggests that early fixation after TBI could be considered in patients with mild head injuries.

[Characteristics and changes of cardiac injury with age in children of Duchenne muscular dystrophy: a prospective cohort study]. Abstract
Objective: To explore the characteristics and changes of cardiac injury with age in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and its clinical significance. Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted. The 215 patients diagnosed with DMD in West China Second Hospital from January 2019 to November 2022 and aged from 6 to 18 years were enrolled. Their clinical data, myocardial injury markers, routine electrocardiogram, cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) and echocardiography were collected. The patients were divided into five age groups: 6-<8, 8-<10, 10-<12, 12-<14 and 14-18 years of age, and matched with healthy boys respectively. Independent sample t test or Mann-Whitney U test was used to compare the clinical data and CMR indexes between DMD patients and controls in all age subgroups, and to compare the value of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) measured by echocardiography and CMR in each subgroup of DMD patitents. Pearson correlation analysis or Spearman correlation analysis was used to explore the relation between the CMR indexes and age in DMD patients. Results: A total of 215 patients with DMD (all male) and 122 healthy boys were included in the study. There were 75 DMD patients and 23 controls in 6-<8 years of age group, 77 DMD and 28 controls in 8-<10 years of age group, 39 DMD and 23 controls in 10-<12 years of age group, 10 DMD and 31 controls in the 12-<14 years of age group, and 14 DMD and 17 controls in 14-18 years of age group. In the DMD patients, the older the age, the lower the levels of creatine kinase (CK) and creatine kinase isoenzyme (CK-MB). In the 6-<8 years of age group, the CK level was 10 760 (7 800, 15 757) U/L, while in the group of 14-18 years of age, it was 2 369 (1 480, 6 944) U/L. As for CK-MB, it was (189±17) μg/L in the 6-<8 years of age group and (62±16) μg/L in the 14-18 years of age group. Cardiac troponin I remained unchanged in <12 years of age groups, but significantly increased in 12-<14 years of age group, reaching the highest value of 0.112 (0.006, 0.085) μg/L. In the DMD patients, the older the age, the higher the proportion of abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG). In the 6-<8 years of age group, the proportion is 29.3% (22/75), while in the 14-18 years of age group, it was 10/14. Correlation analysis showed that the left ventricular end-diastolic volume index was positively related with age (r=0.18, P=0.015), and the left ventricular stroke volume index and cardiac output index were negatively related with age (r=-0.34 and -0.31, respectively, both P<0.001). In the DMD patients, the older the age, the lower LVEF, with the LVEF decreasing to (49.3±3.1)% in the 14-18 years of age group. The LVEF of DMD cases was significantly lower than that of controls in the age subgroups of 8-<10, 10-<12, 12-<14 and 14-18 years of age groups ((57.9±5.2) % vs. (63.6±0.8)%, 60.7% (55.9%, 61.9%) vs. 63.7% (60.2%, 66.0%), 57.1% (51.8%, 63.4%) vs. 62.1 % (59.5%, 64.5)%, (49.3±3.1) % vs. (61.6±1.3)%, respectively; all P<0.01). In the DMD patients, the older the age, the higher the proportion of positive late gadolinium enhancement (LGE). In the 6-<8 years of age group, it was 22% (11/51), in the 12-<14 years of age group, it was 13/14, and in the 14-18 years of age group, all DMD showed positive LGE. The value of LVEF of DMD cases measured by echocardiography was significantly higher than that measured by CMR in 6-<8 years of age group and 8-<10 years of age group (63.2% (60.1%, 66.4%) vs. 59.1 % (55.4%, 62.9%), and (62.8±5.2) % vs. (57.9±5.2)%, all P<0.001). Conclusion: DMD patients develop cardiac injury in the early stage of the disease, and the incidence of cardiac damage gradually increases with both age and the progression of disease.

[The method of determination for 2, 3-Butanedione in the air of workplace by high performance liquid chromatography with derivatization]. Abstract
Objective: To establish a method for the determination of 2, 3-Butanedione (BUT) in the air of workplace, which including the process of collection by absorption in phosphoric acid aqueous solution and the process of analysis and detection by high performance liquid chromatography with derivatization. Methods: In October 2022, a porous glass plate absorption tube containing 10 ml of 0.01% phosphoric acid solution was used to collect BUT in the air of the workplace at a flow rate of 0.2 L/min. The absorption solution was derived by 2, 4-dinitrophenylhydrazine for 75 min and separated on a SB-C18 column (250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm) . At the column temperature of 30 ℃, the mixture of acetonitrile-water (V∶V, 1∶1) was eluted at the flow rate of 1.0 ml/min. It was detected by UV detector (λ=365 nm) , qualitatived by retention time and quantitatived by external standard. Results: It showed that BUT in phosphoric acid aqueous solution could be stored for at least 7 d at 4 ℃. There was a linear relationship within the determination range of 0.05-6.00 μg/ml, the linear regression equation was y=89.610x+0.133, r=0.9999. The sampling absorption efficiencies were 98.33%-100.00%, the detection limit of the method was 0.005 μg/ml, the minimum detection concentration was 0.016 mg/m(3) (based on V(0)=3.0 L) . The recovery rates were 95.96%-102.44%, the intra batch precision were 4.36%-7.78%, and the inter batch precision were 4.96%-6.06%. Conclusion: The method has the advantages of simple operation, high sensitivity and good accuracy. It can prevent the loss and degradation of BUT. It can be used for the determination of BUT in the air of workplace.

Abstract
Objective: Explore the application of Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process to explore the construction of scientific, objective and comprehensive evaluation index system for healthy enterprise construction and promote the construction of healthy enterprises. Methods: In October 2022, through Delphi expert consultation and analytic hierarchy process, the indexes were screened and the weights of the indexes were determined, and the evaluation index system of healthy enterprises was established. Results: The positive coefficients of experts in the two rounds were all 100.00%, the authority coefficient of experts was 0.82, the coefficients of variation of the indexes in the two rounds were all less than 0.30. The coordination coefficients of experts in the first and second rounds were 0.64 and 0.77, respectively (P<0.001) . After two rounds of Delphi method expert consultation, a healthy enterprise evaluation index system including 4 first-level indexes, 14 second-level indexes, and 63 third-level indexes was constructed. Conclusion: The constructed health enterprise evaluation index system is highly scientific and reliable, covering the main factors of healthy enterprise construction, and providing a reliable and quantifiable basis and self-assessment basis for the establishment of healthy enterprises.

Abstract
The conventional production technique employed for low-permeability tight reservoirs exhibits limited productivity. To solve the problem, an acetate-type supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2) thickener, PVE, which contains a large number of microporous structures, was prepared using the atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) method. The product exhibited an ability to decrease the minimum miscibility pressure of scCO2 during a solubility test and demonstrated a favorable extraction efficiency in a low-permeability tight core displacement test. At 15 MPa and 70 °C, PVE-scCO2 at a concentration of 0.2% exhibits effective oil recovery rates of 5.61% for the 0.25 mD core and 2.65% for the 5 mD core. The result demonstrates that the incorporation of the thickener PVE can effectively mitigate gas channeling, further improve oil displacement efficiency, and inflict minimal damage to crude oil. The mechanism of thickening was analyzed through molecular simulation. The calculated trend of thickening exhibited excellent agreement with the experimental measurement rule. The simulation results demonstrate that the contact area between the polymer and CO2 increases in direct proportion to both the number of thickener molecules and the viscosity of the system. The study presents an effective strategy for mitigating gas channeling during scCO2 flooding and has a wide application prospect.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Previous studies have shown that patients with cerebrovascular disease (CVD) have a significantly increased risk of cognitive decline or dementia; however, the association between preoperative CVD and perioperative neurocognitive disorders (PNDs) remains unclear. This study aimed to explore the correlation between preoperative CVD and PNDs, as well as combine logistic regression and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves to construct a clinical prediction PND model. MATERIALS AND METHODS This retrospective cohort study evaluated 13 899 surgical patients of a large-scale comprehensive hospital between January 2021 and January 2022 to explore the association between preoperative CVD and PNDs, with follow-up to monitor postoperative survival until 28 February 2023, unless the patient died. The study participants comprised all inpatients from the Bone and Joint Surgery, Spine Surgery, Urology, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Gastrointestinal Surgery, and Thoracic Surgery departments. Patients were classified into two groups: the CVD group with a confirmed diagnosis and the noncerebrovascular disease group. The incidence of PNDs was measured, and potential associations between patient demographic information, preoperative comorbidities, and CVD, as well as the correlation between preoperative CVD and PNDs, were investigated by multivariate logistic regression analysis. Next, the authors constructed a clinical prediction PND model by drawing the ROC curve. The postoperative survival of all patients was tracked, and a survival curve was constructed and incorporated into the Cox proportional hazard regression model to analyze the relationship between preoperative CVD and the overall postoperative survival rate. RESULTS Of the included 13 899 patients, propensity score matching yielded 1006 patient pairs. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that CVD was an independent risk factor for PNDs [odds ratio: 10.193; 95% CI: 7.454-13.938; P <0.001]. Subsequently, the authors developed a clinical prediction model for PNDs by multivariate logistic regression analysis. The area under the ROC curve was 0.798 (95% CI: 0.765-0.830). The survival of 11 702 patients was followed up. Multivariate Cox hazard ratio regression analysis revealed that CVD affected the overall postoperative survival rate (hazard ratio, 1.398; 95% CI: 1.112-1.758; P <0.001). CONCLUSION CVD was an independent risk factor for PNDs and affected the overall postoperative survival rate of surgical patients with preoperative CVD.

Abstract
Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a major disease that threatens the life and health of neonates. Vitamin A (VA) can participate in early fetal lung development and affect lung immune function. Researches revealed that the serum VA level in premature infants with ARDS was lower than that in premature infants without ARDS of the same gestational age, and premature infants with VA deficiency (VAD) were more likely to develop ARDS. Moreover, the VA levels can be used as a predictor of the development and severity of neonatal ARDS. However, the critical question here is; Does ARDS develop due to VAD in these systemic diseases? Or does ARDS develop because these diseases cause VAD? We hypothesize that VAD may aggravate neonatal ARDS by affecting immunity, metabolism, barriers and other pathways. In this article, we used multiomics analysis to find that VAD may aggravate ARDS mainly through the Fc epsilon RI signaling pathway, the HIF-1 signaling pathway, glutathione metabolism, and valine, leucine and isoleucine degradation signaling pathways, which may provide the molecular pathogenic mechanism behind the pathology of VAD-aggravated ARDS and can also provide potential molecular targets for subsequent research on ARDS.

Abstract
Purpose This study aimed to compare the electrolyte balance efficacies of two Gelatin-Balanced Crystalloid in clinical applications. Methods A multi-center, prospective, randomized, single-blind, parallel controlled study was conducted among non-cardiac surgery patients, with clinical registration number ChiCTR2200062999. They were randomized into Succinylated Gelatin, Multiple Electrolytes and Sodium Acetate Injection (SG-MESAI) group (experimental group) and Succinylated Gelatin Injection (SGI) infusion group (control group). The same anesthetic induction technique, anesthetic method, and calculation method for the volume of colloid infusion were used in the two groups. Between-group differences in the changes in base excess (BE), Chloride ion (Cl-), bicarbonate radical (HCO3⁻) and other parameters were recorded at 15 min, 30 min after the infusion relative to the baseline. Hemodynamic indicators were determined at 30 min after colloid infusion. Safety follow-up was conducted by administering the following tests within 48 h±12 h after surgery. Results A total of 225 subjects (full analysis set) were finally enrolled, with 110 subjects in the experimental group and 115 subjects in the control group. The baseline data were comparable between the two groups. At 15 min after infusion, the mean changes in BE, Cl- and HCO3⁻ concentration in the experimental group were smaller than those of the control group (P<0.001). At 30 min after surgery, the mean changes in BE, Cl-, HCO3⁻concentration and pH value were smaller in the experimental group than in the control group (P<0.05). The incidences of adverse events and adverse reactions in the experimental group was less than the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (P≥0.05). Besides, no serious adverse events or adverse reactions were reported in any subjects. Conclusion Succinylated Gelatin, Multiple Electrolytes and Sodium Acetate Injection maintained the balance of BE, Cl-, HCO3⁻ and pH value in a better way than Succinylated Gelatin Injection in non-cardiac surgery patients under general anesthesia.

Abstract
Purpose To evaluate visual outcomes following the Smooth Incision Lenticular Keratomileusis (SILKTM) procedure for correction of myopic refractive errors with and without astigmatism, using the ELITATM Femtosecond Laser System. Patients and Methods A prospective, multicenter, single-arm, open-label clinical study was conducted. Eighty-five myopic subjects (n = 170 eyes), aged 18 years or older, with manifest refractive spherical equivalent (MRSE) up to -12.00 D and astigmatism up to -6.00 D, were treated binocularly using the ELITA femtosecond laser and followed up for 6 months. Intended correction was emmetropia for all eyes. The primary outcome measures included post-operative uncorrected and corrected distance visual acuity (UDVA and CDVA). Secondary outcome measures included surgeon's rating for ease of lenticule extraction, predictability, safety, and stability. Results A total of 170 eyes of 85 patients underwent SILK. Preoperative mean MRSE was -4.14 D ± 1.32 D (range -1.38 D to -8.88 D) and the mean cylinder was -0.77 D ± 0.62 D. Intraoperative surgeon ease of lenticule dissection was rated as grade 0 or 1 in 85.3% of eyes (no/only mild dissection needed). UDVA at 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, and 6 months was 20/20 or better in 65.9%, 85.4%, 91.5%, and 96% of eyes, respectively. No eyes lost any lines of CDVA at 6 months compared to the preoperative. The postoperative MRSE was stable over time, ranging from -0.34 D ± 0.24 D at 1 month to -0.33 D ± 0.23 D at 6 months. MRSE predictability (± 0.50 D) was 93.5% (129/138) at 3 months and 91.1% (113/124) at 6 months. No serious adverse events were noted. Conclusion The SILK procedure with the ELITA Femtosecond Laser System is safe and effective for the treatment of myopic refractive errors with and without astigmatism. Fast visual recovery was demonstrated, with stability achieved by 3 months.

Abstract
PURPOSE This study aimed to investigate the supportive care needs of Australian melanoma patients and their caregivers to form the basis for improving services. METHODS General and melanoma-related supportive care needs in melanoma patients were measured using the SCNS-SF34 and SCNS-M12 respectively, whereas caregivers completed the SCNS-P&C. Patients also completed the MCQ-28 and FCRI-9, with all participants completing the QLQ-C30, DASS-21, and questions measuring utilisation and preference for supportive health services. Multivariable stepwise logistic regression was used to identify variables associated with unmet needs in melanoma patients. RESULTS A total of 56 early-stage patients, 100 advanced-stage patients, and 37 caregivers participated. At least three-quarters ([Formula: see text] 75%) of each participant group reported at least one unmet need. Of the ten most reported unmet needs in each participant group, at least six ([Formula: see text] 60%) were related to psychological and emotional well-being, with access to a psychologist the most desired service (> 25%). Fear of cancer recurrence was equally prevalent in both patient groups at a level indicative of need for intervention. Advanced-stage patients reported significantly (p < 0.05) more unmet psychological, physical and daily living, and sexuality needs, and significantly (p < 0.05) worse functioning than early-stage patients. CONCLUSION Australian melanoma patients and caregivers report substantial unmet supportive care needs, particularly regarding their psychological and emotional well-being. Psychological and emotional well-being services, such as access to a clinical psychologist or implementation of patient-reported outcome measures, should be incorporated into routine melanoma care to address unmet patient and caregiver needs and improve well-being.

Abstract
The cell cycle controls division and proliferation of all eukaryotic cells and is tightly regulated at multiple checkpoints by complexes of core cell cycle proteins. Due to the difficulty in accessing female gametes and zygotes of flowering plants, little is known about the molecular mechanisms underlying embryogenesis initiation despite the crucial importance of this process for seed crops. In this study, we reveal three levels of factors involved in rice zygotic cell cycle control and characterize their functions and regulation. Protein-protein interaction studies, including within zygote cells, and in vitro biochemical analyses delineate a model of the zygotic cell cycle core complex for rice. In this model, CDKB1, a major regulator of plant mitosis, is a cyclin (CYCD5)-dependent kinase; its activity is coordinately inhibited by two cell cycle inhibitors, KRP4 and KRP5; and both KRPs are regulated via F-box protein 3 (FB3)-mediated proteolysis. Supporting their critical roles in controlling the rice zygotic cell cycle, mutations in KRP4, KRP5 and FB3 result in the compromised function of sperm cells and abnormal organization of female germ units, embryo and endosperm, thus significantly reducing seed-set rate. This work helps reveal regulatory mechanisms controlling the zygotic cell cycle toward seed formation in angiosperms.

Abstract
Background Situs inversus totalis (SIT) is an uncommon disorder characterized by mirror-image anatomy, which can present unique challenges and potential vascular anomalies in surgical interventions, particularly in gastric cancer patients. Aims We aim to delineate a rare case of gastric adenocarcinoma in a SIT patient and conduct a thorough review of the existing literature concerning surgical strategies, vascular anomalies, and outcomes observed across varied geographic locales and technological approaches. Methods A thorough examination of a case involving a 39-year-old male SIT patient who underwent a successful distal gastrectomy with D2 lymph node dissection is presented alongside an expansive literature review. The review encompasses 47 articles, collating data on surgical approaches and vascular anomalies across 49 patients diagnosed with SIT and gastric cancer. Results The patient underwent curative distal gastrectomy and Billroth II with Braun anastomosis within 95 minutes, incurring minimal intraoperative blood loss (100ml). Postoperative pathology confirmed moderately to poorly differentiated gastric adenocarcinoma (pT3N0M0), with no signs of recurrence or metastasis after 6 months of S-1 adjuvant chemotherapy. The literature review revealed vascular anomalies in approximately 20% of reported cases, accentuating its surgical significance. Noteworthy variations in surgical strategies, operative times, blood loss, and complications across different surgical modalities were observed, providing a comprehensive view into the practical management of such cases. Conclusion Despite the inherent challenges associated with SIT, various surgical techniques can be successfully applied with meticulous preoperative planning and understanding vascular anomalies. This compilation of diverse surgical experiences across numerous documented cases seeks to provide a consolidated resource for refining surgical strategies and enhancing postoperative outcomes for gastric cancer patients with SIT, underscoring the imperativeness of further research in this niche domain.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Brentuximab vedotin (BV) and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) had important roles in the treatment of relapse or refractory (R/R) Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). Treatment of refractory disease after BV and -/or ICIs remains a challenge. This study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of radiotherapy for R/R HL after failure to BV or ICIs. MATERIALS/METHODS We retrospectively analyzed patients in two institutions with R/R HL who had failed after first-line therapy, and were refractory to BV or ICIs, and received radiotherapy (RT) thereafter. The overall response rate (ORR), duration of response (DOR), progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) were analyzed. RESULTS A total of 19 patients were enrolled. First-line systemic therapy consisted of ABVD (84.2%), AVD + ICIs (10.5%) and BEACOPP (5.3%), respectively. After first-line therapy, 15 patients (78.9%) were refractory, and 4 patients (21.1%) relapsed. After diagnosis of R/R HL, 8 patients (42.1%) received BV, and 17 patients (89.5%) received ICIs. RT was delivered in all 19 patients who failed after BV or ICIs. In 16 efficacy-evaluable patients, the ORR and CR rate were 100% and 100%. The median DOR was 17.2 months (range, 7.9 to 46.7 months). 3 patients progressed at outside of the radiation field. The in-field-response rate was 100%. The 12-month PFS and OS were 84.4% and 100%, respectively. No patients were reported with sever adverse events. CONCLUSION This study concluded that radiotherapy was effective and safe for refractory HL after BV or ICIs. Further prospective studies were warranted.

Abstract
Hydroxycarboxylic acid receptor 2 (HCAR2), modulated by endogenous ketone body β-hydroxybutyrate and exogenous niacin, is a promising therapeutic target for inflammation-related diseases. HCAR2 mediates distinct pathophysiological events by activating Gi/o protein or β-arrestin effectors. Here, we characterize compound 9n as a Gi-biased allosteric modulator (BAM) of HCAR2 and exhibit anti-inflammatory efficacy in RAW264.7 macrophages via a specific HCAR2-Gi pathway. Furthermore, four structures of HCAR2-Gi complex bound to orthosteric agonists (niacin or monomethyl fumarate), compound 9n, and niacin together with compound 9n simultaneously reveal a common orthosteric site and a unique allosteric site. Combined with functional studies, we decipher the action framework of biased allosteric modulation of compound 9n on the orthosteric site. Moreover, co-administration of compound 9n with orthosteric agonists could enhance anti-inflammatory effects in the mouse model of colitis. Together, our study provides insight to understand the molecular pharmacology of the BAM and facilitates exploring the therapeutic potential of the BAM with orthosteric drugs.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Previous observational studies have reported that delirium has an association with an increased risk of Alzheimer's disease (AD), and that patients with AD have a higher risk of developing delirium. However, due to the limitations of observational study, it is challenging to confirm whether delirium has a causal effect on AD or reverse causation exists. METHODS A bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) was performed to investigate the relationship between delirium and AD. Summary statistics from genome-wide association studies of delirium and AD phenotypes were utilized. Inverse-variance weighted (IVW) method was used as the main analysis approach, and additional analyses were performed using MR Egger, weighted median, simple mode and weighted mode to ensure result accuracy. Heterogeneity and horizontal pleiotropy were assessed using Cochran's Q statistics and MR Egger intercept, separately. RESULTS The MR analyses showed that genetically predicted delirium was not associated with AD (IVW: odds ratio [OR] 0.98, 95% CI 0.91-1.05, P = 0.544; MR Egger: OR 0.98, 95% CI 0.83-1.15, P = 0.780; weighted median: OR 0.96, 95% CI 0.88-1.05, P = 0.323; simple mode: OR 0.91, 95% CI 0.80-1.04, P = 0.212; weighted mode: OR 0.93, 95% CI 0.83-1.05, P = 0.277). However, in the reverse direction, AD was associated with delirium (IVW: OR 1.32, 95% CI 1.13-1.54, P = 3.91E-04; MR Egger: OR 1.42, 95% CI 1.02-1.98, P = 5.60E-02; Weighted median: OR 1.39, 95% CI 1.18-1.63, P = 8.22E-05; Simple mode: OR 1.41, 95% CI 1.10-1.80, P = 1.41E-02; Weighted mode: OR 1.39, 95% CI 1.16-1.67, P = 3.23E-03). CONCLUSION Based on the results of our MR study, there is no bidirectional causality between delirium and AD, delirium is not associated with an increased risk of AD, while genetically predicted AD is a potential causal risk factor for delirium.

Abstract
Cascaded iterative learning control (CILC) is explored for a magnetically levitated (maglev) planar motor to achieve excellent tracking motion performance in this paper. The CILC control method is based on traditional iterative learning control (ILC) with deeper iterations. CILC solves the difficulty of ILC in constructing perfect learning filter and low-pass filter to obtain excellent accuracy. Specifically, in CILC, the traditional ILC strategy is implemented several times by the operation of feedforward signal registering and clearing in a cascaded structure, which makes the motion error reach an accuracy level superior to traditional ILC even though the filters are imperfect. The fundamental principle, convergence and stability of CILC strategy are explicitly presented and analyzed. Through the structure of CILC, the repetitive component of the convergence error can be completely eliminated in theory, while the non-repetitive component is accumulated but the sum is bounded. Simulation investigation and comparative experimental investigation on maglev planar motor are both conducted. The results consistently show that the CILC strategy is not only superior to PID and model-based feedforward control, but also obviously outperforms traditional ILC. The CILC investigations on maglev planar motor also provide a clue that CILC has appreciable application prospect for precision/ultra-precision systems requiring extreme motion accuracy.

Abstract
Facial video-based blood volume pulse (BVP) signal measurement holds great potential for remote health monitoring, while existing methods have issues with convolutional kernel perceptual field constraints. This article proposes an end-to-end multi-level constrained spatiotemporal representation structure for facial video-based BVP signal measurement. First, an intra- and inter-subject feature representation is proposed to strengthen the BVP-related features generation at high, semantic, and shallow levels, respectively. Second, the global-local association is presented to enhance BVP signal period pattern learning, and the global temporal features are introduced into the local spatial convolution of each frame by adaptive kernel weights. Finally, the multi-dimensional fused features are mapped to one-dimensional BVP signals by the task-oriented signal estimator. The experimental results on the publicly available MMSE-HR dataset demonstrate that the proposed structure overperforms state-of-the-art methods (e.g., AutoHR) in BVP signal measurement, with a 20% and 40% reduction in mean absolute error and root mean squared error, respectively. The proposed structure would be a powerful tool for telemedical and non-contact heart health monitoring.

Abstract
During the period that COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, Chinese universities have adopted a new teaching method combining online and offline and banned students from entering and leaving campus at will in line with the epidemic prevention policy. As a result, college students' learning and life styles have been greatly changed. In order to explore how the epidemic and specific prevention policies have influenced the psychology and behavior of Chinese college students, this study used three questionnaires of college students' subjective well-being, interpersonal relationship and love forgiveness to collect the data after the epidemic and compared with the data of college students before the epidemic. The result showed that before and after the epidemic, college students had obvious changes in their level of interpersonal relationship, subjective well-being and love forgiveness. Relationships among the three variables had changed. Meanwhile, the demographic variables of college students had certain changes in the three questionnaires. College students with and without romantic experience also had significant differences in the three questionnaires. It can be seen that the epidemic and specific prevention policies have a certain impact on the physical and mental health of college students, and there is also a gap in the forgiveness level of college students with and without romantic experience. These findings remind relevant departments that it should give greater consideration to the physical and mental health of college students, provide some references for dealing with new outbreaks and formulating the epidemic prevention policies subsequently, and suggest psychological counselors to change the way of dealing with the intimate relationship of college students.

Abstract
Nearly a quarter of the world's population is infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis and remains long-term asymptomatic infection. Rv2626c is a latent infection-related protein regulated by DosR of M. tuberculosis. In this study, the Rv2626c protein was prokaryotically expressed and purified, and its immunobiological characteristics were analyzed using RAW264.7 cells and mice as infection models. SDS-PAGE and Western blotting analysis showed that the Rv2626c-His fusion protein was mainly expressed in soluble form and specifically reacted with the rabbit anti-H37RV polyclonal serum. In addition, we found that the Rv2626c protein bound to the surface of RAW264.7 macrophages and up-regulated the production of NO. Moreover, the Rv2626c protein significantly induced the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines IFN-γ, TNF-α, IL-6 and MCP-1, and induced strong Th1-tendency immune response. These results may help to reveal the pathogenic mechanism of M. tuberculosis and facilitate the development of new tuberculosis vaccine.

Abstract
Falls and fall-related injuries are significant public health problems in older adults. While balance-controlling strategies have been extensively researched, there is still a lack of understanding regarding how fast the lower-limb muscles contract and coordinate in response to a sudden loss of standing balance. Therefore, this pilot study aims to investigate the speed and timing patterns of multiple joint/muscles' activities among the different challenges in standing balance. Twelve healthy young subjects were recruited, and they received unexpected translational balance perturbations with randomized intensities and directions. Electromyographical (EMG) and mechanomyographical (MMG) signals of eight dominant-leg's muscles, dominant-leg's three-dimensional (3D) hip/knee/ankle joint angles, and 3D postural sways were concurrently collected. Two-way ANOVAs were used to examine the difference in timing and speed of the collected signals among muscles/joint motions and among perturbation intensities. This study has found that (1) agonist muscles resisting the induced postural sway tended to activate more rapidly than the antagonist muscles, and ankle muscles contributed the most with the fastest rate of response; (2) voluntary corrective lower-limb joint motions and postural sways could occur as early as the perturbation-induced passive ones; (3) muscles reacted more rapidly under a larger perturbation intensity, while the joint motions or postural sways did not. These findings expand the current knowledge on standing-balance-controlling mechanisms and may potentially provide more insights for developing future fall-prevention strategies in daily life.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the application value of metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary infection in immunocompromised patients. Methods: A total of 78 patients with immunocompromised pulmonary infection [55 males and 23 females, aged (50.3±16.9) years] and 61 patients with non-immunocompromised pulmonary infection [42 males and 19 females, aged (63.6±15.9) years] in the Intensive Care Unit of the First Medical Center of College of the Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, Chinese PLA General Hospital from November 2018 to May 2022 were retrospectively selected. Patients in both groups received bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) mNGS and conventional microbiological tests (CMTs) while clinically diagnosed with pulmonary infection. The diagnostic positive rate, pathogen detection rate and clinical coincidence rate of the two methods were compared. At the same time, the difference of adjustment rate of anti-infective treatment strategy based on the results of mNGS detection was compared between the two groups. Results: The positive rates of mNGS in patients with pulmonary infection were 94.9% (74/78) and 82.0% (50/61) in the immunocompromised group and the non-immunocompromised group, respectively. The positive rates of CMTs in patients with pulmonary infection were 64.1% (50/78) and 75.4% (46/61) in the immunocompromised group and the non-immunocompromised group, respectively. The positive rates of mNGS and CMTs in patients with pulmonary infection in immunocompromised group showed a statistically significant difference (P<0.001). The detection rates of mNGS in the immunocompromised group for pneumocystis jirovecii and cytomegalovirus were 41.0% (32/78) and 37.2% (29/78), respectively, and the detection rates of Klebsiella pneumoniae, chlamydia psittaci and Legionella pneumophila were 16.4% (10/61), 9.8% (6/61) and 8.2% (5/61) in the non-immunocompromised patients, respectively, which were higher than those of CMTs [1.3% (1/78), 7.7% (6/78), 4.9% (3/61), 0 and 0] (all P<0.05). In the immunocompromised group, the clinical coincidence rates of mNGS and CMTs and were 89.7% (70/78) and 43.6% (34/78), respectively, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.001). In the non-immunocompromised group, the clinical coincidence rates of mNGS and CMTs were 83.6% (51/61) and 62.3% (38/61), with a statistically significant difference (P=0.008). In the immunocompromised group, according to the results of the etiology of mNGS, the adjustment rate of anti-infection treatment strategy was 87.2% (68/78), while in the non-immunocompromised group, the adjustment rate of anti-infective treatment strategy was 60.7% (37/61), with a statistically significant difference (P<0.001). Conclusion: In patients with immunocompromised pulmonary infection, mNGS has more advantages than CMTs in diagnostic positive rate, diagnosis rate of mixed infection, pathogen detection rate and guidance of anti-infection treatment strategy adjustment, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the current situation of anxiety, subjective well-being in occupational population and the mediating effect of resilience. Methods: From March 24th to 26th, 2020, a cross-sectional survey was conducted among occupational population aged ≥18 years old using online questionnaires. A total of 2134 valid questionnaires were obtained, with respondents from 30 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government. Their general demographic data, subjective well-being, anxiety, and resilience were collected. Pearson χ(2) test and Spearson correlation analysis were used for data analysis, and structural equation model was used to explore the mediating effect of resilience on anxiety and subjective well-being. Results: The age of the respondents ranged from 18 to 60 years old, with an average age of (31.19±7.09) years old, including 1075 (50.4%) women and 1059 (49.6%) men. The positive rates of low subjective well-being and anxiety were 46.5% (992/2134) and 28.4% (607/2134), respectively. Anxiety scores were significantly negatively correlated with subjective well-being scores and resilience scores (r(s)=-0.52, -0.41, P<0.05), while resilience was significantly positively correlated with subjective well-being (r(s)=0.32, P<0.05). Structural equation models showed that anxiety had a negative predictive effect on subjective well-being, while resilience not only had a positive predictive effect on subjective well-being, but also played a mediating role between anxiety and subjective well-being, with a mediating effect of 9.9%. Conclusion: The situation of anxiety and well-being in the occupational population is still not optimistic, and resilience has a mediating effect between anxiety and subjective well-being.

Abstract
Antibiotics are used for postsurgical wound healing purposes but unfortunately, resistance against them demands some alternatives for quick recovery. Sepsis of wounds is a challenge for medical as well as veterinary professionals. Nanoparticles have significant advantages in wound treatment and drug resistance reversal. This study was conducted to appreciate emerging alternates of antibiotics like zinc oxide nanoparticles and plant extracts in topical application. Zinc oxide is considered a good wound healer and its nanoparticles are easy to access. So, the efficacies of zinc oxide nanoparticles and sweet flag plant extract ointments were tested to compare modern and traditional therapeutics as sweet flag is considered a pure medicinal plant. Rabbits were selected for this study due to the healing properties of their skin. Wounds were inflicted on the thoracolumbar region and treated for 29 days post-surgically daily with normal saline and the ointment of zinc oxide nanoparticles and sweet flag extract ointment, prepared in a hydrophilic solvent. Wound shrinkage was observed daily and histopathological analysis was made and results were compared. Zinc oxide nanoparticles ointment showed the most satisfactory results for every parameter included in the study. No side effects of its topical application were observed. Healing was normal without any complications. The preparations of zinc oxide nanoparticles may help in the era of antibiotic resistance as topical drugs in the future.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the safety and efficacy of excimer laser coronary angioplasty (ELCA) for the treatment of degenerated great saphenous vein graft (SVG). Methods: This is a single-center, prospective, single-arm study. Patients, who were admitted to the Geriatric Cardiovascular Center of Beijing Anzhen Hospital from January 2022 to June 2022, were consecutively enrolled. Inclusion criteria were recurrent chest pain after coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG), and coronary angiography confirmed that the SVG stenosis was more than 70% but not completely occluded, and interventional treatment for SVG lesions was planned. Before balloon dilation and stent placement, ELCA was used to pretreat the lesions. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) examination was performed and postoperative index of microcirculation resistance (IMR) were assessed after stent implantation. The technique success rate and operation success rate were calculated. The technique success was defined as the successful passage of the ELCA system through the lesion. Operation success was defined as the successful placement of a stent at the lesion. The primary evaluation index of the study was IMR immediately after PCI. Secondary evaluation indexes included thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) flow grade, corrected TIMI frame count (cTFC), minimal stent area and stent expansion measured by OCT after PCI, and procedural complications (Ⅳa myocardial infarction, no reflow, perforation). Results: A total of 19 patients aged (66.0±5.6) years were enrolled, including 18 males (94.7%). The age of SVG was 8 (6, 11) years. The length of the lesions was greater than 20 mm, and they were all SVG body lesions. The median stenosis degree was 95% (80%, 99%), and the length of the implanted stent was (41.7±16.3)mm. The operation time was 119 (101, 166) minutes, and the cumulative dose was 2 089 (1 378, 3 011)mGy. The diameter of the laser catheter was 1.4 mm, the maximum energy was 60 mJ, and the maximum frequency was 40 Hz. The technique success and the operation success rate were both 100% (19/19). The IMR after stent implantation was 29.22±5.95. The TIMI flow grade of patients after ELCA and stent implantation was significantly improved (all P>0.05), and the TIMI flow grade of all patients after stent implantation was Grade Ⅲ. The cTFC decreased significantly after ELCA (33.2±7.8) and after stent placement (22.8±7.1) than preoperative level (49.7±13.0) (both P<0.001). The minimum stent area was (5.53±1.36)mm2, and the stent expansion rate was (90.0±4.3)%. Perforation, no reflow, type Ⅳa myocardial infarction and other complications were not observed. However, postoperative high-sensitivity troponin level was significantly increased ((67.937±33.839)ng/L vs. (5.316±3.105)ng/L, P<0.001). Conclusion: ELCA is safe and effective in the treatment of SVG lesions and could improve microcirculation and ensure full expansion of stent.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a cost-effective procedure, but it is also associated with substantial postoperative pain. The present study aimed to compare pain relief and functional recovery after TKA among groups that received intravenous corticosteroids, periarticular corticosteroids, or a combination of both. METHODS This randomized, double-blinded clinical trial in a local institution in Hong Kong recruited 178 patients who underwent primary unilateral TKA. Six of these patients were excluded because of changes in surgical technique; 4, because of their hepatitis B status; 2, because of a history of peptic ulcer; and 2, because they declined to participate in the study. Patients were randomized 1:1:1:1 to receive placebo (P), intravenous corticosteroids (IVS), periarticular corticosteroids (PAS), or a combination of intravenous and periarticular corticosteroids (IVSPAS). RESULTS The pain scores at rest were significantly lower in the IVSPAS group than in the P group over the first 48 hours (p = 0.034) and 72 hours (p = 0.043) postoperatively. The pain scores during movement were also significantly lower in the IVS and IVSPAS groups than in the P group over the first 24, 48, and 72 hours (p ≤ 0.023 for all). The flexion range of the operatively treated knee was significantly better in the IVSPAS group than in the P group on postoperative day 3 (p = 0.027). Quadriceps power was also greater in the IVSPAS group than in the P group on postoperative days 2 (p = 0.005) and 3 (p = 0.007). Patients in the IVSPAS group were able to walk significantly further than patients in the P group in the first 3 postoperative days (p ≤ 0.003). Patients in the IVSPAS group also had a higher score on the Elderly Mobility Scale than those in the P group (p = 0.036). CONCLUSIONS IVS and IVSPAS yielded similar pain relief, but IVSPAS yielded a larger number of rehabilitation parameters that were significantly better than those in the P group. This study provides new insights into pain management and postoperative rehabilitation following TKA. LEVEL OF EVIDENCE Therapeutic Level I. Abstract
Blind image quality assessment (BIQA) aims to evaluate image quality in a way that closely matches human perception. To achieve this goal, the strengths of deep learning and the characteristics of the human visual system (HVS) can be combined. In this paper, inspired by the ventral pathway and the dorsal pathway of the HVS, a dual-pathway convolutional neural network is proposed for BIQA tasks. The proposed method consists of two pathways: the "what" pathway, which mimics the ventral pathway of the HVS to extract the content features of distorted images, and the "where" pathway, which mimics the dorsal pathway of the HVS to extract the global shape features of distorted images. Then, the features from the two pathways are fused and mapped to an image quality score. Additionally, gradient images weighted by contrast sensitivity are used as the input to the "where" pathway, allowing it to extract global shape features that are more sensitive to human perception. Moreover, a dual-pathway multi-scale feature fusion module is designed to fuse the multi-scale features of the two pathways, enabling the model to capture both global features and local details, thus improving the overall performance of the model. Experiments conducted on six databases show that the proposed method achieves state-of-the-art performance.

Abstract
Developmental coordination disorder (DCD) is a motor learning disability with a prevalence of 5%-6% in school-aged children, which may seriously affect the physical and mental health of affected children. Behavior analysis of children helps explore the mechanism of DCD and develop better diagnosis protocols. In this study, we investigate the behavioral pattern of children with DCD in the gross movement using a visual-motor tracking system. First, visual components of interest are detected and extracted using a series of intelligent algorithms. Then, the kinematic features are defined and calculated to describe the children behavior, including eye movement, body movement, and interacting object trajectory. Finally, statistical analysis is conducted both between groups with different motor coordination abilities and between groups with different task outcomes. The experimental results show that groups of children with different coordination abilities differ significantly both in the duration of eye gaze focusing on the target and in the degree of concentration during aiming, which can serve as behavioral markers to distinguish children with DCD. This finding also provides precise guidance for the interventions for children with DCD. In addition to increasing the amount of time spent on concentrating, we should focus on improving children's attention levels.

Abstract
Photovoltaic (PV) panels have been widely used as one of the solutions for green energy sources. Performance monitoring, fault diagnosis, and Control of Operation at Maximum Power Point (MPP) of PV panels became one of the popular research topics in the past. Model parameters could reflect the health conditions of a PV panel, and model parameter estimation can be applied to PV panel fault diagnosis. In this paper, we will propose a new algorithm for PV panel model parameters estimation by using a Neural Network (ANN) with a Numerical Current Prediction (NCP) layer. Output voltage and current signals (VI) after load perturbation are observed. An ANN is trained to estimate the PV panel model parameters, which is then fined tuned by the NCP to improve the accuracy to about 6%. During the testing stage, VI signals are input into the proposed ANN-NCP system. Abstract
Objective: To investigate the association between the urinary arsenic level and serum total testosterone in Chinese men aged 18 to 79 years. Methods: A total of 5 048 male participants aged 18 to 79 years were recruited from the China National Human Biomonitoring (CNHBM) from 2017 to 2018. Questionnaires and physical examinations were used to collect information on demographic characteristics, lifestyle, food intake frequency and health status. Venous blood and urine samples were collected to detect the level of serum total testosterone, urine arsenic and urine creatinine. Participants were divided into three groups (low, middle, and high) based on the tertiles of creatinine-adjusted urine arsenic concentration. Weighted multiple linear regression was fitted to analyze the association of urinary arsenic with serum total testosterone. Results: The weighted average age of 5 048 Chinese men was (46.72±0.40) years. Geometric mean concentration (95%CI) of urinary arsenic, creatinine-adjusted urine arsenic and serum testosterone was 22.46 (20.08, 25.12) μg/L, 19.36 (16.92, 22.15) μg/L and 18.13 (17.42, 18.85) nmol/L, respectively. After controlling for covariates, compared with the low-level urinary arsenic group, the testosterone level of the participants in the middle-level group and the high-level group decreased gradually. The percentile ratio (95%CI) was -5.17% (-13.14%, 3.54%) and -10.33% (-15.68%, -4.63). The subgroup analysis showed that the association between the urinary arsenic level and testosterone level was more obvious in the group with BMI<24 kg/m2 group (Pinteraction<0.05). Conclusion: There is a negative association between the urinary arsenic level and serum total testosterone in Chinese men aged 18-79 years.

Abstract
Somatostatin receptor 2 (SSTR2) is highly expressed in neuroendocrine tumors and represents as a therapeutic target. Several peptide analogs mimicking the endogenous ligand somatostatin are available for clinical use, but poor therapeutic effects occur in a subset of patients, which may be correlated with subtype selectivity or cell surface expression. Here, we clarify the signal bias profiles of the first-generation peptide drug octreotide and a new-generation small molecule paltusotine by evaluating their pharmacological characteristics. We then perform cryo-electron microscopy analysis of SSTR2-Gi complexes to determine how the drugs activate SSTR2 in a selective manner. In this work, we decipher the mechanism of ligand recognition, subtype selectivity and signal bias property of SSTR2 sensing octreotide and paltusotine, which may aid in designing therapeutic drugs with specific pharmacological profiles against neuroendocrine tumors.

Abstract
Objective We aimed to identify preoperative and intraoperative factors associated with serious postoperative outcomes, which may help patients and clinicians make better-informed decisions. Methods We conducted a retrospective study including all patients aged ≥90 years who underwent surgery between January 1, 2011, and January 1, 2021, at Chongqing University Central Hospital. We assessed 30 pre- and intraoperative demographic and clinical variables. Logistic regression was used to identify the independent risk factors for serious postoperative outcomes in patients aged ≥90 years. Results A total of 428 patients were included in our analysis. The mean age was 92.6 years (SD ± 2.6). There were 240 (56.1%) females and 188 (43.9%) males. The most common comorbidities were hypertension (44.9%) and arrhythmias (34.8%). The 30-day hospital mortality was 5.6%, and severe morbidity was 33.2%. Based on the multivariate logistic regression classification analysis of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA)≥ Ⅳ [odds ratio (OR), 5.39, 95% confidence interval (CI), 2.06-14.16, P = .001], emergency surgery (OR, 5.02, 95% CI, 2.85-15.98, P = .001) and chronic heart failure (OR, 6.11, 95% CI, 1.93-13.06, P = .001) were identified as independent risk factors for 30-day hospital mortality, and ASA≥ Ⅳ (OR, 4.56, 95%CI, 2.56-8.15, P < .001), Barthel index (BI) < 35 (OR, 2.28, 95%CI, 1.30-3.98, P = .001), chronic heart failure (OR, 3.67, 95%CI, 1.62-8.31, P = .002), chronic kidney disease (OR, 4.24, 95%CI, 1.99-9.05, P < .001), general anesthesia (OR, 3.31, 95%CI, 1.91-5.76, P < .001), emergency surgery (OR, 3.72, 95%CI, 1.98-6.99, P < .001), and major surgery (OR, 3.44, 95%CI, 1.90-6.22, P < .001) were identified as independent risk factors for serious postoperative complications. Conclusions Patients aged ≥90 years with ASA≥ Ⅳ, BI < 35, combined with chronic heart failure or chronic kidney disease, undergoing emergency surgery, major surgery or general anesthesia have a higher risk of serious postoperative outcomes. Identifying these risk factors in an early stage may contribute to our clinical decision-making and improve the quality of treatments.

Abstract
With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, the exploration and application in the field of intelligent education has become a research hotspot of increasing concern. In the actual classroom scenarios, students' classroom behavior is an important factor that directly affects their learning performance. Specifically, students with poor self-management abilities, particularly specific developmental disorders, may face educational and academic difficulties owing to physical or psychological factors. Therefore, the intelligent perception and identification of school-aged children's classroom behaviors are extremely valuable and significant. The traditional method for identifying students' classroom behavior relies on statistical surveys conducted by teachers, which incurs problems such as being time-consuming, labor-intensive, privacy-violating, and an inaccurate manual intervention. To address the above-mentioned issues, we constructed a motion sensor-based intelligent system to realize the perception and identification of classroom behavior in the current study. For the acquired sensor signal, we proposed a Voting-Based Dynamic Time Warping algorithm (VB-DTW) in which a voting mechanism is used to compare the similarities between adjacent clips and extract valid action segments. Subsequent experiments have verified that effective signal segments can help improve the accuracy of behavior identification. Furthermore, upon combining with the classroom motion data acquisition system, through the powerful feature extraction ability of the deep learning algorithms, the effectiveness and feasibility are verified from the perspectives of the dimensional signal characteristics and time series separately so as to realize the accurate, non-invasive and intelligent children's behavior detection. To verify the feasibility of the proposed method, a self-constructed dataset (SCB-13) was collected. Thirteen participants were invited to perform 14 common class behaviors, wearing motion sensors whose data were recorded by a program. In SCB-13, the proposed method achieved 100% identification accuracy. Based on the proposed algorithms, it is possible to provide immediate feedback on students' classroom performance and help them improve their learning performance while providing an essential reference basis and data support for constructing an intelligent digital education platform.

Abstract
Understanding how abiotic and biotic components respond to aquatic ecosystem restoration is pivotal for sustainable development in the face of economic development and global environmental change. However, the post-restoration monitoring and evaluation of aquatic ecosystems across large spatial and temporal scales is underfunded or not well documented, especially outside of Europe and North America. We present a meta-analysis of abiotic and biotic indices to quantify post-restoration (2 months-13 years) effects from reported aquatic restoration projects throughout the China-mainland, incorporating 39 lentic and 36 lotic ecosystems. Decreases in dissolved nutrients (total nitrogen, ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus) post-restoration were rapid, but tended to slow down after about 9.3 years. Response ratios summarizing biodiversity responses (incorporating phytoplankton, invertebrates, vascular plants, fish and birds) typically lagged behind abiotic changes, suggesting longer timescales are needed for biotic indices to recover. Time since restoration interacted with lentic project size showing that, even with the same proportional efforts of restoration, larger lentic ecosystems responded much more slowly than smaller ones. Spatial heterogeneity, reflecting the effects of different restoration approaches (e.g., sewage interception, polluted sediment dredging, artificial wetlands, etc.), had a significantly stronger effect on biotic than abiotic indices, particularly in rivers compared to standing waters. This reflects the complexity of fluvial ecosystem dynamics and hints at a limitation in the reinstatement of ecological processes in these systems to overcome issues such as dispersal limitations. Overall, the different timelines and processes by which abiotic and biotic indices recover after restoration should be taken into account when defining restoration targets and monitoring programs. Our study illustrates the value of long-term aquatic ecosystem monitoring, especially in China given the scale and magnitude of ongoing restoration investments in the country.

Abstract
Maritime transport chain is facing huge information asymmetry after the outbreak of major emergencies, such as COVID-19 epidemic. The previous literature has proved that information investing and information sharing are two effective tactics to relieve information asymmetry between supply chain nodes, and help them improve the performance of the supply chain. This paper assumes random demand disruption is the main cause of the information asymmetry in a maritime transportation chain. To explore how the random demand disruption and channel competition jointly impact operational decisions in a dual-channel maritime transport chain composed of one port, two carriers and shippers, we construct a game-theoretical basic model, and proposed two strategies, i.e., information investing and information sharing. Several significant managerial insights are derived. First, we find that inaccurate disruption information leads to inaccurate decisions and huge losses; Second, investing in precise information benefits the port only if the chain members are optimistic about the market, and improves the revenue of the carrier who invested in information if the investment cost is reasonable; Third, accepting information sharing benefits the port only when the precise disruption and the distortion of information are relatively large, as well as the misappropriate rate is relatively small; and only when the port is pessimistic about the market or the channel competition is weak, sharing information may hurt the carrier who invested in information. Finally, the strength of the channel competition will enhance the impact of information inaccuracy on the maritime transport chain.

Abstract
Type I interferons (IFN) and their downstream effector signaling pathways play critical roles in the innate antiviral response. The underlying mechanisms that regulate IFN production and their effector signaling, especially by microRNAs, are well understood. We found that the expression of miR-93 was significantly downregulated by RNA virus infection in innate cells. miR-93 expression was also downregulated in influenza virus-infected patients. Furthermore, we showed that JAK1 is targeted by miR-93 to inhibit type I IFN's antiviral activity. Functionally, antagomir of miR-93 markedly reduced influenza virus replication in mice in vivo and prevented their death. Therefore, hosts recognize the invading RNA virus infection and activate RIG-I/JNK pathways to decrease miR-93 expression. The reduction of miR-93 feedback enhances the antiviral innate immune response by activating the IFN-JAK-STAT effectors type I, indicating miR-93 as a possible therapeutic target for infection with RNA viruses.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Cellular senescence plays an irreplaceable role in tumorigenesis, progression, and tumor microenvironment (TME) remodeling. However, to date, there is limited research delineating the landscape of cellular senescence in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and an improved understanding on the interaction of tumor-associated cellular senescence with HCC prognosis, TME, and response to immunotherapy is warrant. METHODS Tumorigenic and immune infiltration-associated senescence genes were determined by weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) and the Estimation of STromal and Immune cells in MAlignant Tumor tissues using Expression data (ESTIMATE) algorithm, and subsequently, a prognostic scoring model (named TIS) was constructed using multiple survival analysis algorithms to classify the senescence-related subtypes of HCC. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) and gene set variation analysis (GSVA) were conducted to identify the distinct hallmark pathways between high- and low-risk subtypes. Additionally, we carried out correlation analyses for TIS and clinical traits, senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP), immune infiltration and evasion, immune checkpoint factors, drug response, and immunotherapeutic efficacy. External experimental validation was conducted to delineate the association of CPEP3 (a TIS gene) with HCC phenotypes through assays of proliferation, colony formation, and invasion. RESULTS A five-gene TIS, composed of NET1, ATP6V0B, MMP1, GTDC1, and CPEB3, was constructed and validated using TCGA and ICGC datasets, respectively, and showed a highly robust and plausible signature for overall survival (OS) prediction of HCC in both training and validation cohorts. Patients in the TIS-high group were accompanied by worse OS, activation of carcinogenetic pathways, infiltration of immunosuppressive cells, exclusion of effector killing cells, overexpression of immunomodulatory genes and SASP, and unsatisfied response to immunotherapy. In response to anticancer drugs, patients in the TIS-high group exhibited enhanced susceptibility to several conventional chemotherapeutic agents (5-fluorouracil, docetaxel, doxorubicin, gemcitabine, and etoposide), as well as several inhibitors of pathways involved in cellular senescence (cell-cycle inhibitors, bromodomain and extraterminal domain family (BET) inhibitors, PI3K-AKT pathway inhibitors, and multikinase inhibitors). Additionally, four putative drugs (palbociclib, JAK3 inhibitor VI, floxuridine, and lestaurtinib) were identified as potential compounds for patients in the TIS-high group. Notably, in vitro functional validation showed that CPEB3 knockdown boosted the phenotypes of proliferation, clonogenicity, and invasion in HCC cells, whereas CPEB3 overexpression attenuated these phenotypes. CONCLUSIONS Our study provides comprehensive clues demonstrating the role of novel TIS in predicting HCC prognosis, immunotherapeutic response, and candidate drugs. This work highlights the significance of tumorigenesis- and immune infiltration-related cellular senescence in cancer therapy.
