Abstract
BACKGROUND Human polyomaviruses contribute to human oncogenesis through persistent infections, but currently there is no effective preventive measure against the malignancies caused by this virus. Therefore, the development of a safe and effective vaccine against HPyV is of high priority. METHODS First, the proteomes of 2 polyomavirus species (HPyV6 and HPyV7) were downloaded from the NCBI database for the selection of the target proteins. The epitope identification process focused on selecting proteins that were crucial, associated with virulence, present on the surface, antigenic, non-toxic, and non-homologous with the human proteome. Then, the immunoinformatic methods were used to identify cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL), helper T-lymphocyte (HTL), and B-cell epitopes from the target antigens, which could be used to create epitope-based vaccine. The physicochemical features of the designed vaccine were predicted through various online servers. The binding pattern and stability between the vaccine candidate and Toll-like receptors were analyzed through molecular docking and molecular dynamics (MD) simulation, while the immunogenicity of the designed vaccines was assessed using immune simulation. RESULTS Online tools were utilized to forecast the most optimal epitope from the immunogenic targets, including LTAg, VP1, and VP1 antigens of HPyV6 and HPyV7. A multi-epitope vaccine was developed by combining 10 CTL, 7 HTL, and 6 LBL epitopes with suitable linkers and adjuvant. The vaccine displayed 98.35% of the world's population coverage. The 3D model of the vaccine structure revealed that the majority of residues (87.7%) were located in favored regions of the Ramachandran plot. The evaluation of molecular docking and MD simulation revealed that the constructed vaccine exhibits a strong binding (-1414.0 kcal/mol) towards the host's TLR4. Moreover, the vaccine-TLR complexes remained stable throughout the dynamic conditions present in the natural environment. The immune simulation results demonstrated that the vaccine design had the capacity to elicit robust immune responses in the host. CONCLUSION The multi-parametric analysis revealed that the designed vaccine is capable of inducing sustained immunity against the selected polyomaviruses, although further in-vivo investigations are needed to verify its effectiveness.

Abstract
Background:
The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is a member of the tyrosine kinase receptor family known as ErbB. The EGFR signaling pathway is an important regulator of cell proliferation, differentiation, division, and survival, as well as cancer development in humans. Epidermal growth factor, betacellulin, amphiregulin, transforming growth factor and heparin-binding EGF-like growth factor are high-affinity ligands of EGFR.
Objective:
Tumor progression can be effectively prevented by inhibiting EGF/EGFR interactions. In this study, many anti-EGF peptides targeting EGFR binding regions were designed, modeled, and evaluated. After selecting the peptides with the highest binding energy to the EGF, the interactions between the candidate peptides and all of the key EGFR ligands were investigated.
Methods:
To identify an EGF-binding peptide capable of blocking EGFR-EGF interactions, large-scale peptide mutation screening was performed. Using the AntiCP server, several possible peptides with anti-cancer properties were identified. The ClusPro analysis was performed in order to analyze the interactions between EGF and all of the library peptides. A total of five peptides with favorable docking scores were identified. The stability of three peptides with the best docking scores in complex with EGF was verified, applying molecular dynamics simulation with the help of the GROMACS software package. Finally, the interaction of candidate peptides with transforming growth factor-alpha, heparin-binding EGF-like growth factor, and betacellulin was investigated using the ClusPro server.
Results:
After the screening of modeled peptides by the ClusPro server and GROMACS software, two anti-EGF peptides of Pep4 and Pep5 with 31 residues were developed. Then, we demonstrate that both of these peptides can bind to the other high-affinity ligands of EGFR and block TGFA/EGFR, HBEGF/EGFR, and BTC/EGFR interactions.

Conclusion:
The findings suggest novel insights for developing therapies based on peptides for inhibiting the EGF, TGFA, HBEGF, and BTC signaling cascade in cancer cells. Pep4 and Pep5 designed in this work, are recommended as potentially promising anticancer peptides for further experimental evaluation.

Abstract
Although the new generation of vaccines and anti-COVID-19 treatment regimens facilitated the management of acute COVID-19 infections, concerns about post-COVID-19 syndrome or Long Covid are rising. This issue can increase the incidence and morbidity of diseases such as diabetes, and cardiovascular, and lung infections, especially among patients suffering from neurodegenerative disease, cardiac arrhythmias, and ischemia. There are numerous risk factors that cause COVID-19 patients to experience post-COVID-19 syndrome. Three potential causes attributed to this disorder include immune dysregulation, viral persistence, and autoimmunity. Interferons (IFNs) are crucial in all aspects of post-COVID-19 syndrome etiology. In this review, we discuss the critical and double-edged role of IFNs in post-COVID-19 syndrome and how innovative biomedical approaches that target IFNs can reduce the occurrence of Long Covid infection.

Abstract
The glycan receptor is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol glycoprotein that is overexpressed on the surface of various cancer cells and has been utilized for wide applications. In the present work, the surface of citrate-capped gold nanoparticles (cit-AuNPs) was modified with mercaptopropionic acid (MPA) molecules to provide carboxylic groups for secondary functionalization with amine anchored-silica quantum dots (Si-NH2 QDs) to produce cit-AuNPs-MPA/Si-NH2 QDs fluorescent nanoparticles. Concanavalin A (Con A) molecules were attached through thiol-AuNP bonds to produce the final cit-AuNPs/MPA/Si-NH2 QDs/Con A smart nanoparticles. The synthesized novel cit-AuNPs/MPA/Si-NH2 QDs/Con A nanoparticles were utilized for the bioimaging of glycan-overexpressed breast cancer cells. Fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry results revealed that the cit-AuNPs/MPA/Si-NH2 QDs/Con A NPs can be efficiently taken up by cancer cells, with differentiating ability between overexpressed cancer cells and low-expressed normal cells. The cellular viability of the cit-AuNPs/MPA/Si-NH2 QDs/Con A NPs was tested by the MTT test, proving their biocompatible nature at the 200 μg mL-1 level. In conclusion, the fabricated cit-AuNPs/MPA/Si-NH2 QDs/Con A NPs could be utilized for the bioimaging of MCF-7 cancer cells even in the clinical setting after proper in vivo validation.

Abstract
A specific and unique sequence probe was designed for detection of donkey adulteration in cooked sausages and its species specificity was confirmed bioinformatically in the common software and website (ClustalX and NCBI). Subsequently, a novel species-specific electrochemical DNA probe (locked nucleic acid, LNA) was synthesized and implemented in a construction of DNA-based electrochemical genosensor for sensitive, convenient and selective detection of donkey adulteration. The electrochemical behavior of the fabricated genosensor was studied by linear sweep, square wave, differential pulse voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy techniques. Due to inherent optimal hybridization conditions, the lower limit of quantification (LLOQ) was obtained as 148 pM with a relative standard deviation of 0.16%. Eventually, as a proof of concept, the designed biosensor was successfully used for detection of donkey genetic element in consumable beef sausages preparations, as a real sample. It is predicted that the proposed biosensor will provide a sensitive, inexpensive, fast, and reliable bioassay for application in food analysis, forensic investigations, genetic screening and biodiagnostics. As a prominent feature of this study, the recorded results were confirmed by quantitative real time-polymerase chain reaction (QRT-PCR) as a standard method in adulteration analysis. Our future perspective is minutralization of the development bioassay for making on-desk device and specially merging the designed system by microfluidic systems for accelerating the analysis time.

Effect of Sevelamer on Serum Levels of Klotho and Soluble Tumor Necrosis Factor-like Weak Inducer of Apoptosis in Rats With Adenine-induced Chronic Kidney Disease. Abstract
INTRODUCTION Nontraditional risk factors for cardiovascular disease (CVD), including mineral disorder, high fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23), low klotho, and low soluble TWEAK could predict the incipient risk of CVD in chronic kidney disease (CKD). The present study evaluates the effect of sevelamer on soluble tumor necrosis factor-like weak inducer of apoptosis (TWEAK), and klotho levels in adenine-induced CKD rats. METHODS AND MATERIALS Normal control rats without sevelamer were compared with 3 groups of adenine-induced CKD rats, including CKD rats without sevelamer, CKD rats treated with 3% sevelamer, and rats receiving adenine and 3% sevelamer concurrently. After 4 weeks of sevelamer treatment, serum levels of klotho and soluble TWEAK were measured, along with biochemical parameters related to kidney function. RESULTS Sevelamer significantly reduced serum levels of phosphate and increased serum levels of klotho and soluble TWEAK. Decreased levels of phosphate were negatively correlated with elevated levels of klotho and soluble TWEAK (r = -0.70, P = .003; r = -0.58, P = .02; respectively) in serum. CONCLUSIONS Sevelamer successfully reduced serum levels of phosphate, and meanwhile, it led to an elevation in serum levels of klotho and soluble TWEAK in rat models of CKD.

Abstract
Background High serum phosphate and fibroblast growth factor-23 (FGF-23) levels are well-recognized independent risk factors of mortality and morbidity in patients with chronic kidney diseases (CKDs). Sevelamer, as a phosphate chelating agent, reduces serum phosphate and FGF-23 levels produced by bone osteocytes. This study aimed to determine the best dose at which sevelamer could successfully reduce serum phosphate and FGF-23 levels in rat models of adenine-induced CKD. Methods CKD was induced using adenine. Healthy and CKD-induced rats were divided into 6 groups as follows: healthy controls; CKD controls; rats treated with 1%, 2%, and 3% sevelamer for CKDs; and healthy rats administered 3% sevelamer. Biochemical factors and serum FGF-23 levels were measured using spectrophotometry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay methods. Results Serum phosphate levels were best decreased in rats receiving 3% sevelamer in their diet (5.91±1.48 mg/dL vs. 8.09±1.70 mg/dL, P<0.05) compared with the CKD control rats. A dose-dependent decrease in serum FGF-23 levels was observed, and the most significant results were obtained in rats receiving 3% sevelamer compared with the CKD control rats (142.60±83.95 pg/mL vs. 297.15±131.10 pg/mL, P<0.01). Conclusions Higher sevelamer doses significantly reduced serum phosphate and FGF-23 levels in adenine-induced CKD rats.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Nephrotoxicity side effect of the immunosuppressive drug, cyclosporine A (CsA), can be a major issue in transplantation medicine. Cyclosporine A-induced nephrotoxicity is multifactorial but oxidative stress has a critical role in this process. It has been demonstrated that Valsartan (Val) as an angiotensin receptor blocker has renoprotective effects, but the molecular mechanisms responsible for the renal protection, independent from its blood pressure lowering effect, have not yet been fully understood. The present study is aim at evaluating the Val effect in alleviation of CsA nephrotoxicity by probable increase in renal Klotho expression and/or reducing oxidative stress. METHODS Thirty-two Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 4 groups based on the administration of CsA and/or Val: group A (control, 1 mL/kg per day of olive oil as vehicle), group B (CsA, 30 mg/kg per day), group C (CsA + Val, 30 + 30 mg/kg per day), and group D (Val, 30 mg/kg per day). Real-time polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting were used to evaluate Renal Klotho expression. Serum Klotho level was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. 8-Hydroxy-deoxy guanosine and malondialdehyde levels as markers of oxidative stress were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and spectrophotometrically, respectively. RESULTS Cyclosporine A treatment reduced renal expression and serum levels of Klotho, improved malondialdehyde and 8-hydroxy-deoxy guanosine levels, and also deteriorated renal function. Valsartan prevented CsA-induced oxidative stress as well as Klotho downregulation and could alleviate CsA-induced renal histological changes and function. CONCLUSIONS Administration of Val might lead to amelioration of CsA nephrotoxicity by probably diminishing CsA-induced renal Klotho downregulation and oxidative stress.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE(S) Many lines of evidence suggest that reduced production of nitric oxide (NO) due to single nucleotide polymorphisms in endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) gene may affect the implantation and maintenance of pregnancy. Accordingly, our objective was to investigate whether the eNOS polymorphisms (-786 T>C, intron 4 b/a VNTR and 894 G>T) and haplotypes may be associated with increased susceptibility to recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL). STUDY DESIGN A total of 130 women with a history of two or more unexplained consecutive first trimester miscarriages and 110 ethnically matched women with at least two normal pregnancies and no history of pregnancy loss were included in the study as cases and controls, respectively. To identify the genotypes, we used polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) methods In addition, an in silico analysis was conducted to predict the possible effects of the eNOS 894 G>T polymorphism on the structure and function of eNOS mRNA and protein using prediction servers. RESULTS Our findings revealed that the prevalence of eNOS -786 T>C polymorphism, eNOS -786C allele and TC+CC genotype in cases were significantly higher than those in healthy controls (p<0.05). Also, the combination genotypes -786TT/4b4a and -786TT/894GG were significantly associated with reduced risk of RPL. We also found that the C-4a-G haplotype of the eNOS gene studied polymorphisms was significantly associated with a predisposition to RPL (odds ratio, 3.219; 95% confidence interval, 1.649-6.282; p=0.0003). The in silico analysis showed that the eNOS 894 G>T polymorphism couldn't affects eNOS mRNA and protein significantly. CONCLUSION Our findings provide evidence to support the hypothesis that eNOS -786 T>C polymorphism and the -786C-4a-894G haplotype are associated with the high risk of RPL.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Calcineurin inhibitor nephrotoxicity is major problem after organ transplantation. It is multifactorial, but oxidative stress may have an important role in this process. It has been shown that angiotensin II receptor blockers have renoprotective effects but their molecular mechanism is largely unknown. Antioxidative effect is an important role of the recently known anti-aging protein, klotho. This study aimed to evaluate effect of valsartan in alleviation of cyclosporine A nephrotoxicity via a probable increase in serum klotho levels or decreasing oxidative stress. MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirty-two Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 4 groups to receive 1 mL/kg/d of olive oil as control; 30 mg/kg/d of cyclosporine; 30 mg/kg/d of cyclosporine and 50 mg/kg/d of valsartan; and 50 mg/kg/d of valsartan. After the 6 weeks of administration period, serum levels of klotho and 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine were measured using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Serum malondialdehyde level was measured spectrophotometrically. RESULTS The mean serum level of klotho was significantly lower in the cyclosporine group compared with control and valsartan groups. Klotho level in the valsartan group was significantly higher than those in the other groups. The cyclosporine group was detected to have significantly higher serum 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine and malondialdehyde levels compared with the other study groups. The levels of klotho were negatively correlated with 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine and malondialdehyde levels. CONCLUSIONS Administration of valsartan may lead to attenuation of the nephrotoxic side effect of cyclosporine via enhancing klotho and decreasing oxidative stress levels.

Introduction: Nephrotoxicity as a side effect caused by the immunosuppressive drug, cyclosporine-A (CsA), can be a major problem in transplant medicine. Oxidative stress may play an important role in the CsA-induced nephrotoxicity. It has been shown that the antihypertensive drug, valsartan (Val), has also renoprotective effects but, its molecular mechanism is largely unknown. In the present study, it was aimed to evaluate the Val effect in the alleviation of CsA nephrotoxicity via probable renal glutathione peroxidase (GPx) upregulation and oxidative stress decrease.
Methods: Thirty-two Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into four groups based on CsA and/or Val administration: group A (Control, 1 mL/kg/day of olive oil as vehicle), group B (CsA, 30 mg/kg/day), group C (CsA+Val, 30+30 mg/kg/day), and group D (Val, 30 mg/kg/day). After the administration period (six weeks), renal GPx expression was evaluated by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Plasma levels of GPx and 8-Hydroxydeoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Malondialdehyde (MDA) and protein carbonyl groups (PCG) were measured by spectrophotometer. Plasma levels of urea and creatinine were measured by an autoanalyzer.
Results: CsA treatment led to the decrease in renal expression and plasma levels of GPx in comparison to other study groups. Rats received CsA were detected to have significantly (p<0.05) higher plasma 8-OHdG, MDA, PCG, urea, and creatinine levels in comparison to other groups. Plasma urea and creatinine levels were negatively correlated with renal GPx expression and positively correlated with the oxidative stress markers.
Conclusion:Administration of Val may result in attenuating the nephrotoxic side effect of CsA via probable renal GPx upregulation, and subsequently oxidative stress decrease.

Abstract
Recently much attention has been paid to the possibly considerable role of the thrombophilic gene polymorphisms in the pathogenesis of deep venous thromboembolism (DVT). However, the reported results are controversial. Hence, this study aimed to disclose the association between factor VII (FVII) 10976G/A, angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE; intron 16 I/D), glycoprotein Ia (GPIa) 807C/T, tissue-type plasminogen activator (t-PA; intron 8 D/I) and tissue-factor pathway inhibitor 536C/T polymorphisms and DVT. We investigated these gene polymorphisms in 693 study participants including 193 patients who showed clinical symptoms of DVT and 500 healthy individuals without both personal and family histories of thromboembolic disorders. Genotyping was performed using the amplification refractory mutation system-polymerase chain reaction (ARMS-PCR) technique. Comparison of genotypes distribution revealed that the FVII 10976G/A polymorphism was significantly related with DVT (P < 0.05), whereas there was no association between the ACE (intron 16 I/D), GPIa807C/T, t-PA (intron 8 D/I) and tissue-factor pathway inhibitor 536C/T gene polymorphisms and DVT (P > 0.05). In addition, the prevalence of homozygote genotype and mutant allele for FVII 10976G/A polymorphism was significantly higher in cases compared with controls (P < 0.05). Taken together, our data provide evidence to support the hypothesis that FVII 10976G/A polymorphism may be associated with a predisposition to DVT.

Introduction:There are many ideas concerning the etiology and pathogenesis of preeclampsia including endothelial dysfunction, inflammation and angiogenesis. Elevated levels of total homocysteine (Hcy) and lipoprotein (a) [Lp(a)] are risk factors for endothelial dysfunction. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of high dose folic acid (FA) on serum Hcy and Lp(a) concentrations with respect to methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) polymorphisms 677C→T during pregnancy.
Methods: In a prospective uncontrolled intervention, 90 pregnant women received 5 mg FA supplementation before pregnancy till 36th week of pregnancy. The MTHFR polymorphisms 677C→T, serum lactate dehydrogenase activity, urine protein and creatinine concentrations were measured before starting folic acid administration. Serum levels of Hcy and Lp(a) were determined before and after completion of folic acid supplementation period.
Results: Supplementation of the patients with FA for 36 week decreased the median (minimum– maximum) levels of serum Hcy from 11.40 μmol/L (4.40-28.70) to 9.70 (1.60-20.80) μmol/L (p=0.001). There was no significant change in serum Lp(a) after FA supplementation (p=0.17). The overall prevalence of genotypes in pregnant women that were under study for MTHFR C677T polymorphism was 53.3% CC, 26.7% CT and 20.0% TT. There was no correlation between decreasing level of serum Hcy in the patients receiving FA and MTHFR polymorphisms.
Conclusion:Although FA supplementation decreased serum levels of Hcy in different MTHFR genotypes, serum Lp(a) was not changed by FA supplements. Our data suggests that FA supplementation effects on serum Hcy is MTHFR genotype independent in pregnant women.

Abstract
PURPOSE The mutagenic potency of materials used in dentistry is of great concern. The Ames test is a bacterial reverse mutation assay, which is used to determine the mutagenicity potential of chemicals. In this study, the Ames test was used to compare mutagenic effects of three pulpotomy agents, namely, CEM cement, formocresol and ferric sulfate. METHODS TA100 strain of Salmonella typhimurium was used to evaluate mutagenicity of different concentrations of pulpotomy materials in the presence and absence of enzymatic system found in rat liver S9 fraction. Negative controls were 1% dimethyl sulfoxide and water. The positive controls were sodium azide and 2-aminoanthracene. The number of colonies per plate was counted. The material was regarded mutagenic if the number of histidine revertant colonies was twice or more than the spontaneous revertant colonies (Ames mutagenicity ratio). RESULTS Ferric sulfate was found mutagenic in the concentrations prepared by addition of 50 µL of its 1 in 100 and 1 in 1000 times diluted solutions to the culture medium in the absence of S9 fraction (Ames test ratios of 2.8 and 2.2, respectively). Formocresol showed strong toxicity toward TA100 strain of S. typhimurium up to the concentration as low achieved using 1000 times diluted solution of the original preparation, particularly in the presence of S9 fraction. Ames assay failed to detect significant reverse mutations in all the concentrations of CEM cement. CONCLUSION In contrast to formocresol and ferric sulfate, CEM cement is a less toxic and non-mutagenic agent.

Abstract
The role of apolipoprotein E gene polymorphisms in the pathogenesis of recurrent pregnancy loss remains controversial. Therefore, our objective was to investigate the association between recurrent pregnancy loss and apolipoprotein E gene polymorphisms among northwest Iranian women, and also to predict the impact of these nonsynonymous single nucleotide polymorphisms on structure and function of apolipoprotein E protein. The subjects of our current study consisted of 100 women that have had two or more consecutive idiopathic first trimester miscarriages, and one hundred healthy women from the same geographical areas were used as a control group. After DNA extraction, we used a polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism to genotype of the apolipoprotein E gene. In addition, we predicted the possible effects of amino acid substitutions at codons 112 and/or 158 on the structure and function of apolipoprotein E protein using Polymorphism Phenotyping online software v2. Our results showed that the rate of apolipoprotein E ε4 carriers and the frequency of the ε4 allele in the case group were statistically and significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Therefore, our data support the association of the Apo ε4 allele with RPL; however, in silico analysis predicted that the amino acid substitution at residue 112 (Apo ε4 allele) is a benign mutation. Accordingly, further studies are required to elucidate the mechanism(s) underlying the link between RPL pathogenesis and the Apo ε4 allele.

Abstract
It has been revealed that the inherited thrombophilia increases the risk of thrombosis in the venous system. To study the association of factor V G1691A, factor V HR2 (4070A/G), prothrombin G20210A, and PAI-1 (- 675 I/D, 5G/4G) polymorphisms with deep venous thromboembolism (DVT), these polymorphisms were investigated. A total of 193 patients who presented clinical symptoms of deep venous thromboembolism including 103 men and 90 women, and 500 healthy individuals without both personal and family histories of thromboembolic disorders including 275 men and 225 women were recruited into the study. Genotyping was carried out using the amplification refractory mutation system-polymerase chain reaction (ARMS-PCR) technique. Our results showed that the genotype distribution for FV (G1691A and A4070G) and PAI-1 4G/5G polymorphisms in DVT patients were significantly higher than healthy control (P < 0.05). Also, the mutant allele frequencies for all studied polymorphisms differed significantly between the case and control groups (P < 0.05). We concluded that the prevalence of FV (G1691A and A4070G) and PAI-1 4G/5G polymorphisms increased the risk of DVT occurrence in subjects. These findings provide additional evidence to support the hypothesis that thrombophilic gene polymorphisms are involved in vascular thromboembolism.

Abstract
There is several evidence suggests that thrombophilic gene polymorphisms may influence susceptibility to thromboembolic events. The prevalence of these polymorphisms is different in various races and ethnics. Accordingly, we studied the prevalence of Factor V (G1691A and A4070G), prothrombin G20210A and PAI-1 4G/5G in healthy northwest population of Iran. In this prospective study, 500 healthy individuals, who had no history of both personal and family history of thromboembolic disorders, were selected as a sample of healthy population in northwestern Iran. Genotyping of these polymorphisms was performed using the amplification refractory mutation system-polymerase chain reaction method. No significant differences were detected between the expected and observed frequencies of FV G1691A and A4070G, prothrombin G20210A polymorphisms (P>0.05), while the expected frequency of 4G allele was significantly more than observed frequency in the studied population (P<0.01). These findings were compared with other reports from various populations. In conclusion, the allele frequency for FV G1691A and PAI-1 4G/5G polymorphisms showed relative consistency compared to those of previous studies, while the incidence pattern of FV A4070G polymorphism in Northwestern population of Iran showed conflicting results regarding other studied population. The prothrombin G20210A polymorphism was observed at a higher frequency than other studied populations.
