Component Patterns and Survival Outcomes in Patients with Mixed Malignant Ovarian Germ Cell Tumors: A Retrospective Cohort Study. Clin Oncol (R Coll Radiol) 2024; 36:370-377. Abstract
AIMS To evaluate the component patterns and risk stratification in patients with mixed malignant ovarian germ cell tumors (mMOGCT). METHODS A retrospective study of 70 mMOGCT patients treated in our hospital between 2000 and 2022 was conducted. The recurrence-free survival (RFS), disease-specific survival (DSS), and risk stratification systems based on scoring the identified prognostic factors were assessed. RESULTS Yolk sac tumor component was the most common type (80%), followed by dysgerminoma (50%), immature teratoma (40%), embryonic carcinoma (27.1%), and chorionic carcinoma (15.7%). The 5-year RFS and DSS rates were 77.9% and 87.9%, respectively. International federation of gynecology and obstetrics (FIGO) stage III-IV (RR 3.253, P = 0.029) and normalization of tumor marker (TM) ≤ 3 cycles of chemotherapy (RR 6.249, P = 0.017) were risk factors for RFS and DSS, respectively. Significant DSS (RR 8.268, P = 0.006) was also noted between patients who had normalized TM ≤ 4 and ≥5 cycles of chemotherapy. FIGO stages I-II and stages III-IV were scored as 0 and 2, respectively. AFP normalization ≤3, 4, and ≥5 cycles of chemotherapy were scored as 0, 1, and 4, respectively. A total score of 0, 1-2, and ≥3 stratified patients into low-risk (43 patients), intermediate-risk (13 patients), and high-risk groups (14 patients), respectively. Patients in three risk stratifications manifested significant differences in DSS (P = 0.010) but not in RFS (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION Distinct different component patterns existed among mMOGCT patients, and predicting survival outcomes in a universal model was challenging.

[Computer-vision-based artificial intelligence for detection and recognition of instruments and organs during radical laparoscopic gastrectomy for gastric cancer: a multicenter study]. Abstract
Objective: To investigate the feasibility and accuracy of computer vision-based artificial intelligence technology in detecting and recognizing instruments and organs in the scenario of radical laparoscopic gastrectomy for gastric cancer. Methods: Eight complete laparoscopic distal radical gastrectomy surgery videos were collected from four large tertiary hospitals in China (First Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital [three cases], Liaoning Cancer Hospital [two cases], Liyang Branch of Jiangsu Province People's Hospital [two cases], and Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center [one case]). PR software was used to extract frames every 5-10 seconds and convert them into image frames. To ensure quality, deduplication was performed manually to remove obvious duplication and blurred image frames. After conversion and deduplication, there were 3369 frame images with a resolution of 1,920×1,080 PPI. LabelMe was used for instance segmentation of the images into the following 23 categories: veins, arteries, sutures, needle holders, ultrasonic knives, suction devices, bleeding, colon, forceps, gallbladder, small gauze, Hem-o-lok, Hem-o-lok appliers, electrocautery hooks, small intestine, hepatogastric ligaments, liver, omentum, pancreas, spleen, surgical staplers, stomach, and trocars. The frame images were randomly allocated to training and validation sets in a 9:1 ratio. The YOLOv8 deep learning framework was used for model training and validation. Precision, recall, average precision (AP), and mean average precision (mAP) were used to evaluate detection and recognition accuracy. Results: The training set contained 3032 frame images comprising 30 895 instance segmentation counts across 23 categories. The validation set contained 337 frame images comprising 3407 instance segmentation counts. The YOLOv8m model was used for training. The loss curve of the training set showed a smooth gradual decrease in loss value as the number of iteration calculations increased. In the training set, the AP values of all 23 categories were above 0.90, with a mAP of 0.99, whereas in the validation set, the mAP of the 23 categories was 0.82. As to individual categories, the AP values for ultrasonic knives, needle holders, forceps, gallbladders, small pieces of gauze, and surgical staplers were 0.96, 0.94, 0.91, 0.91, 0.91, and 0.91, respectively. The model successfully inferred and applied to a 5-minutes video segment of laparoscopic gastroenterostomy suturing. Conclusion: The primary finding of this multicenter study is that computer vision can efficiently, accurately, and in real-time detect organs and instruments in various scenarios of radical laparoscopic gastrectomy for gastric cancer.

Abstract
1. The Kaijiang duck is a native Chinese breed known for its excellent egg laying performance, killing-out percentage (88.57%), and disease resistance. The assessment of population genetic structure is the basis for understanding the genetics of indigenous breeds and for their protection and management.2. In this study, whole-genome sequencing was performed on 60 Kaijiang ducks to identify genetic variations and investigate the population structure. Homozygosity (ROH) analysis was conducted to assess inbreeding levels in the population.3. The study revealed a moderate level of inbreeding, indicated by an average inbreeding coefficient of 0.1043. This may impact the overall genetic diversity.4. Genomic Regions of Interest identified included 168 genomic regions exhibiting high levels of autozygosity. These regions were associated with processes including muscle growth, pigmentation, neuromodulation, and growth and reproduction.5. The significance of these pathways indicated their potential role in shaping the desirable traits of the Kaijiang duck. These findings provide insights into the genetic basis of the Kaijiang duck's desirable traits and can inform future breeding and conservation efforts.

Abstract
An elderly woman with a 1-year history of pulmonary shadows was admitted because of intermittent cough and sputum production for 2 months. Chest computed tomography (CT) scans showed bilateral consolidations and ground-glass opacities, with areas of low attenuation inside consolidative opacities on the mediastinal window. Previous history of radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma and long-term use of a compound menthol nasal drops provided were important clues to the diagnosis. CT scan-guided needle lung biopsy and bronchoalveolar lavage were performed, and lipid-laden macrophages were confirmed in both bronchoalveolar lavage and lung tissue. Final diagnosis of exogenous lipoid pneumonia was made on the basis of her risk factors for aspiration, history of oil exposure, and classic radiological and histopathological features. Symptoms improved after discontinuation of causative exposure. It is important for clinicians to raise awareness of exogenous lipoid pneumonia and other aspiration lung diseases.

Abstract
Polypropylene (PP) mesh is the most widely used prosthetic material in hernia repair. However, the efficacy of implanted PP mesh is often compromised by adhesion between viscera and PP mesh. Thus, there is a recognized need for developing an anti-adhesive PP mesh. Here, a composite hydrogel coated PP mesh with the prevention of adhesion after hernia repair was designed. The composite hydrogel coating was prepared from polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and hyaluronic acid (HA) by using the freezing-thawing (FT) method. To overcome the shortcoming of the long time of the traditional freezing-thawing method, a small molecule 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DHPA) was introduced to promote the formation of composite hydrogel. The as-prepared composite hydrogel coating displayed modulus more closely resembling that of native abdominal wall tissue. In vitro studies illustrated that the resulting meshes showed excellent coating stability, hemocompatibility, and non-cytotoxicity. In vivo experiments using a rat abdominal wall defect model demonstrated that the composite hydrogel coated PP mesh could prevent the formation of adhesion, alleviate the inflammatory response, and reduce the deposition of collagen around the damaged tissue. These disclosed results manifested that the PP mesh coated with HA/PVA composite hydrogel might be a promising application in preventing adhesion for hernia repair.

Unraveling patterns, causes, and nature-based remediation strategy for non-grain production on farmland in hilly regions. ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH 2024; 252:118982. Abstract
The surge in non-grain production on farmland (NGPF) poses significant threats to food security and land sustainability, particularly in hilly regions. However, there remains a lack of clarity on how to effectively balance grain and non-grain production in relation to land remediation. Using Wannian County as a case study, we investigate the evolution of this by leveraging high-precision land surveys and satellite imagery. Through the application of bootstrapped partial linear regression models, we identify key influencers behind each type of NGPF. In proposing land remediation solutions, we integrate the results of NGPF and land quality evaluations to identify mismatches between non-grain production and land attributes (i.e., topography, geology, soil, and land use). Our findings reveal a substantial growth in NGPF, expanding from 3838.72 ha to 5659.64 ha (2010-2020), and predominantly occurring on farmland with favorable natural conditions and connected locations such as proximity to roads, town centers, and industrial plants. Surprisingly, the basic farmland protection policy shows limited effectiveness in curbing NGPF, except for garden operations. We identify 1674 NGPF patches suitable for conversion to grain production and provide land remediation suggestions tailored to low-quality farmland with specific natural barriers, thus complementing the demand for regional non-grain production. This study thereby innovatively proposes nature-based land remediation strategies to address the non-grain production dilemma by tailoring NGPF and land quality, offering valuable insights for sustainable farmland management in China and beyond.

[Diffuse thickening of bronchial walls with multiple nodular mucosal protrusions]. Abstract
A 58-year-old woman presented with a six-month history of nasal congestion, sore throat and cough, and a five-month history of dyspnea. She had a history of xerostomia for one year. On examination, the bilateral submandibular gland and parotid glands were enlarged. Parotid and anterior cervical lymph nodes were palpable. There were rales in both lungs. The rest of the physical examination was unremarkable. Sialographic analysis showed normal caliber in the main duct, stenosis in secondary ducts, and dilation in the proximal ducts. Minor salivary gland biopsy demonstrated periductal lymphocytic infiltration. Chest computed tomography (CT) showed diffuse thickening of the tracheal and bilateral bronchial walls. Bronchoscopy revealed macroscopic multiple nodules mainly in the trachea and bilateral main bronchus. Endobronchial biopsy showed lymphocytic infiltration in the bronchial submucosa. She was diagnosed with Sjögren's syndrome and treated with glucocorticoids. The dose of prednisone was started at 30 mg/d and tapered gradually. Following treatment, the patient's clinical condition improved dramatically, with shrinkage of the enlarged lymph nodes, bilateral submandibular and parotid glands. A repeated chest CT scan revealed improvement of the tracheal and bilateral bronchial thickening. Multiple nodules in the airway regressed, as evidenced by repeated bronchoscopic examination. The final diagnosis was a large-airway disease associated with Sjögren's syndrome.Among airway diseases in Sjögren's syndrome, peripheral airway diseases including bronchiolitis and bronchiectasis are common; however, central airway lesions in Sjögren's syndrome, especially with macroscopic nodules, are rare. In this case, we demonstrated tracheal and endobronchial nodules in Sjögren's syndrome as determined by clinical features, CT scan, bronchoscopy, and response to therapy.

Abstract
In order to decelerate the growth of myopia in children and adolescents and reduce the risks of associated eye complications, extensive research has been conducted on preventive measures, including optical, behavioral, and pharmaceutical interventions. Spectacle lenses, due to their safety, convenience, and high patient compliance, stand out as the most common method for correcting refractive errors compared to other interventions. As far as we know, various forms of spectacle lenses are currently used in clinical practice, including bifocal lenses, progressive multifocal lenses, peripheral defocus lenses, defocus incorporated multiple segments (DIMS) lenses, highly aspherical lenslets, diffusion optics technology lenses, and violet light transmission (VL) glasses. However, a systematic and comprehensive overview of myopia-controlling spectacle lenses is still lacking. Therefore, this article summarizes the latest research progress on the myopia prevention and control technology of spectacle lenses at home and abroad, providing theoretical support for the myopia prevention and control effect of different spectacle lens technologies, promoting the application of related technologies in clinical work, and offering new ideas for myopia prevention and control.

Abstract
Recently, template-based trackers have become the leading tracking algorithms with promising performance in terms of efficiency and accuracy. However, the correlation operation between query feature and the given template only achieves accurate target localization, but is prone to state estimation error, especially when the target suffers from severe deformation. To address this issue, segmentation-based trackers are proposed that use per-pixel matching to improve the tracking performance of deformable objects effectively. However, most of the existing trackers only match with the target features of the initial frame, thereby lacking the discrimination for handling a variety of challenging factors, e.g., similar distractors, background clutter, and appearance change. To this end, we propose a dynamic compact memory embedding technique to enhance the discrimination of the segmentation-based visual tracking method that can well tell the target from the background. Specifically, we initialize a memory embedding with the target features in the first frame. During the tracking process, the current target features that have certain correlation with the existing memory are updated to the memory embedding online. To further improve the tracking accuracy for deformable objects, we use a weighted point-to-global matching strategy to measure the correlation between the pixelwise query feature and the whole template, so as to capture more detailed deformation information. Extensive evaluations on six challenging tracking benchmarks including VOT2016, VOT2018, VOT2019, GOT-10K, TrackingNet, and LaSOT demonstrate the superiority of our method over recent remarkable trackers. Besides, our tracker outperforms the excellent segmentation-based trackers, i.e., D3S and SiamMask on the DAVIS2017 benchmark. The code is available at https://github.com/peace-love243/CMEDFL.

MRI radiomics for predicting intracranial progression in non-small-cell lung cancer patients with brain metastases treated with epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors. Abstract
AIM To identify clinical and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) radiomics predictors specialised for intracranial progression (IP) after first-line epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with brain metastases (BMs). MATERIALS AND METHODS Seventy EGFR-mutated NSCLC patients with a total of 212 BMs who received first-line EGFR-TKI therapy were enrolled. Radiomics features were extracted from the BM regions on the pretreatment contrast-enhanced T1-weighted images, and the radiomics score (rad-score) of each BM was established based on the selected features. Furthermore, the mean rad-score derived from the average rad-score of all included BMs in each patient was calculated. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to identify potential predictors of IP. Prediction models based on different predictors and their combinations were constructed, and nomogram based on the optimal prediction model was evaluated. RESULTS Thirty-three (47.1 %) patients developed IP, and the remaining 37 (52.9 %) patients were IP-free. EGFR-19del mutation (OR 0.19, 95 % CI 0.05-0.69), third-generation TKI treatment (OR 0.33, 95 % CI 0.16-0.67) and mean rad-score (OR 5.71, 95 % CI 1.65-19.68) were found to be independent predictive factors. Models based on these three predictors alone and in combination (combined model) achieved AUCs of 0.64, 0.64, 0.74, and 0.86 and 0.64, 0.64, 0.75, and 0.84 in the training and validation sets, respectively, and the combined model demonstrated optimal performance for predicting IP. CONCLUSIONS The model integrating EGFR-19del mutation, third-generation TKI treatment and mean rad-score had good predictive value for IP after EGFR-TKI treatment in NSCLC patients with BM.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the safety and therapeutic effect of split liver transplantation (SLT) in clinical application. Methods: This is a retrospective case-series study. The clinical data of 203 consecutive SLT, 79 living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) and 1 298 whole liver transplantation (WLT) performed at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from July 2014 to July 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. Two hundred and three SLT liver grafts were obtained from 109 donors. One hundred and twenty-seven grafts were generated by in vitro splitting and 76 grafts were generated by in vivo splitting. There were 90 adult recipients and 113 pediatric recipients. According to time, SLT patients were divided into two groups: the early SLT group (40 cases, from July 2014 to December 2017) and the mature SLT technology group (163 cases, from January 2018 to July 2023). The survival of each group was analyzed and the main factors affecting the survival rate of SLT were analyzed. The Kaplan-Meier method and Log-rank test were used for survival analysis. Results: The cumulative survival rates at 1-, 3-, and 5-year were 74.58%, 71.47%, and 71.47% in the early SLT group, and 88.03%, 87.23%, and 87.23% in the mature SLT group, respectively. Survival rates in the mature SLT group were significantly higher than those in the early SLT group (χ2=5.560,P=0.018). The cumulative survival rates at 1-, 3- and 5-year were 93.41%, 93.41%, 89.95% in the LDLT group and 87.38%, 81.98%, 77.04% in the WLT group, respectively. There was no significant difference among the mature SLT group, the LDLT group and the WLT group (χ2=4.016, P=0.134). Abdominal hemorrhage, infection, primary liver graft nonfunction,and portal vein thrombosis were the main causes of early postoperative death. Conclusion: SLT can achieve results comparable to those of WLT and LDLT in mature technology liver transplant centers, but it needs to go through a certain time learning curve.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Fluoxetine is often used as a well-known first-line antidepressant. However, it is accompanied with hepatogenic injury as its main organ toxicity, thereby limiting its application despite its superior efficacy. Fluoxetine is commonly traditionally used combined with some Chinese antidepressant prescriptions containing Rehmannia glutinosa (Dihuang) for depression therapy and hepatoprotection. Our previous experiments showed that co-Dihuang can alleviate fluoxetine-induced liver injury while efficiencies, and catalpol may be the key ingredient to characterize the toxicity-reducing and synergistic effects. However, whether co-catalpol can alleviate fluoxetine-induced liver injury and its toxicity-reducing mechanism remain unclear. PURPOSE On the basis of the first recognition of the dose and duration at which pre-fluoxetine caused hepatic injury, co-catalpol's alleviation of fluoxetine-induced hepatic injury and its pathway was comprehensively elucidated. METHOD AND RESULTS The hepatoprotection of co-catalpol was evaluated by serum biochemical indexes sensitive to hepatic injury and multiple staining techniques for hepatic pathologic analysis. Subsequently, the pathway by which catalpol alleviated fluoxetine-induced hepatic injury was predicted by network pharmacology to be predominantly the inhibition of ferroptosis. These were validated and confirmed in subsequent experiments with key technologies and diagnostic reagents related to ferroptosis. Further molecular docking showed that activating transcription factor 3 (ATF3) and ferroptosis suppressor protein 1 (FSP1) were the the most prospective molecules for catalpol and fluoxetine among many ferroptosis-related molecules. The critical role of ATF3/FSP1 signaling was further observed by surface plasmon resonance, diagnostic reagents, transmission electron microscopy, Western blot, real-time PCR, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry. Results showed that fluoxetine directly bound to ATF3 and FSP1; agonisting ATF3 or blocking FSP1 abolished the alleviation of catalpol on fluoxetine-induced liver injury, and both exacerbated ferroptosis. Moreover, co-catalpol significantly enhanced the antidepressant efficacy of fluoxetine against depressive behaviours in mice. CONCLUSION The hepatic impairment properties of fluoxetine were largely dependent on ATF3/FSP1 target-mediated ferroptosis. Co-catalpol alleviated fluoxetine-induced hepatic injury while enhancing its antidepressant efficacy, and that ATF3/FSP1 signaling-mediated inhibition of ferroptosis was involved in its co-administration detoxification mechanism. This study was the first to reveal the hepatotoxicity characteristics, targets, and mechanisms of fluoxetine; provide a detoxification and efficiency regimen by co-catalpol; and elucidate the detoxification mechanism.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the capillarization of liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs) and its association with hepatic fibrosis during the development of alveolar echinococcosis, so as to provide the basis for unraveling the mechanisms underlying the role of LSEC in the development and prognosis of hepatic injuries and hepatic fibrosis caused by alveolar echinococcosis. METHODS Forty C57BL/6 mice at ages of 6 to 8 weeks were randomly divided into a control group and 1-, 2- and 4-week infection groups, of 10 mice in each group. Each mouse in the infection groups was intraperitoneally injected with 2 000 Echinococcus multilocularis protoscoleces, while each mouse in the control group was given an equal volume of phosphate-buffered saline using the same method. All mice were sacrificed 1, 2 and 4 weeks post-infection and mouse livers were collected. The pathological changes of livers were observed using hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining, and hepatic fibrosis was evaluated through semi-quantitative analysis of Masson's trichrome staining-positive areas. The activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) and extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition were examined using immunohistochemical staining of α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) and collagen type I alpha 1 (COL1A1), and the fenestrations on the surface of LSECs were observed using scanning electron microscopy. Primary LSECs were isolated from mouse livers, and the mRNA expression of LSEC marker genes Stabilin-1, Stabilin-2, Ehd3, CD209b, GATA4 and Maf was quantified using real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR (qPCR) assay. RESULTS Destruction of local liver lobular structure was observed in mice 2 weeks post-infection with E. multilocularis protoscoleces, and hydatid cysts, which were surrounded by granulomatous tissues, were found in mouse livers 4 weeks post-infection. Semi-quantitative analysis of Masson's trichrome staining showed a significant difference in the proportion of collagen fiber contents in mouse livers among the four groups (F = 26.060, P < 0.001), and a higher proportion of collagen fiber contents was detected in mouse livers in the 4-week infection group [(11.29 ± 2.58)%] than in the control group (P < 0.001). Immunohistochemical staining revealed activation of a few HSCs and ECM deposition in mouse livers 1 and 2 weeks post-infection, and abundant brown-yellow stained α-SMA and COL1A1 were deposited in the lesion areas in mouse livers 4 weeks post-infection, which spread to surrounding tissues. Semi-quantitative analysis revealed significant differences in α-SMA (F = 7.667, P < 0.05) and COL1A1 expression (F = 6.530, P < 0.05) in mouse levers among the four groups, with higher α-SMA [(7.13 ± 3.68)%] and COL1A1 expression [(13.18 ± 7.20)%] quantified in mouse livers in the 4-week infection group than in the control group (both P values < 0.05). Scanning electron microscopy revealed significant differences in the fenestration frequency (F = 37.730, P < 0.001) and porosity (F = 16.010, P < 0.001) on the surface of mouse LSECs among the four groups, and reduced fenestration frequency and porosity were observed in the 1-[(1.22 ± 0.48)/μm2 and [(3.05 ± 0.91)%] and 2-week infection groups [(3.47 ± 0.10)/μm2 and (7.57 ± 0.23)%] groups than in the control group (all P values < 0.001). There was a significant difference in the average fenestration diameter on the surface of mouse LSECs among the four groups (F = 15.330, P < 0.001), and larger average fenestration diameters were measured in the 1-[(180.80 ± 16.42) nm] and 2-week infection groups [(161.70 ± 3.85) nm] than in the control group (both P values < 0.05). In addition, there were significant differences among the four groups in terms of Stabilin-1 (F = 153.100, P < 0.001), Stabilin-2 (F = 57.010, P < 0.001), Ehd3 (F = 31.700, P < 0.001), CD209b (F = 177.400, P < 0.001), GATA4 (F = 17.740, P < 0.001), and Maf mRNA expression (F = 72.710, P < 0.001), and reduced mRNA expression of Stabilin-1, Stabilin-2, Ehd3, CD209b, GATA4 and Maf genes was quantified in three infection groups than in the control group (all P values < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS E. multilocularis infections may induce capillarization of LSECs in mice, and result in a reduction in the expression of functional and phenotypic marker genes of LSECs, and capillarization of LSECs occurs earlier than activation of HSC and development of hepatic fibrosis.

Abstract
This Letter presents the first study of Higgs boson production in association with a vector boson (V=W or Z) in the fully hadronic qqbb final state using data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the LHC in proton-proton collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 137 fb^{-1}. The vector bosons and Higgs bosons are each reconstructed as large-radius jets and tagged using jet substructure techniques. Dedicated tagging algorithms exploiting b-tagging properties are used to identify jets consistent with Higgs bosons decaying into bb[over ¯]. Dominant backgrounds from multijet production are determined directly from the data, and a likelihood fit to the jet mass distribution of Higgs boson candidates is used to extract the number of signal events. The VH production cross section is measured inclusively and differentially in several ranges of Higgs boson transverse momentum: 250-450, 450-650, and greater than 650 GeV. The inclusive signal yield relative to the standard model expectation is observed to be μ=1.4_{-0.9}^{+1.0} and the corresponding cross section is 3.1±1.3(stat)_{-1.4}^{+1.8}(syst) pb.

Abstract
Generalized Zero-Shot Learning (GZSL) aims at recognizing images from both seen and unseen classes by constructing correspondences between visual images and semantic embedding. However, existing methods suffer from a strong bias problem, where unseen images in the target domain tend to be recognized as seen classes in the source domain. To address this issue, we propose a Prototype-augmented Self-supervised Generative Network by integrating self-supervised learning and prototype learning into a feature generating model for GZSL. The proposed model enjoys several advantages. First, we propose a Self-supervised Learning Module to exploit inter-domain relationships, where we introduce anchors as a bridge between seen and unseen categories. In the shared space, we pull the distribution of the target domain away from the source domain and obtain domain-aware features. To our best knowledge, this is the first work to introduce self-supervised learning into GZSL as learning guidance. Second, a Prototype Enhancing Module is proposed to utilize class prototypes to model reliable target domain distribution in finer granularity. In this module, a Prototype Alignment mechanism and a Prototype Dispersion mechanism are combined to guide the generation of better target class features with intra-class compactness and inter-class separability. Extensive experimental results on five standard benchmarks demonstrate that our model performs favorably against state-of-the-art GZSL methods.

Abstract
We reported a case of a 65-year-old male who had been treated with obinutuzumab and chemotherapy for follicular lymphoma. He was infected with SARS-CoV-2 after the second course of therapy. He developed fever, cough and bilateral pulmonary infiltrates. His nasopharyngeal swab became negative only temporarily after repeated courses of antiviral therapy, and the symptoms and pulmonary infiltrates waxed and waned. He presented to our hospital with exertional dyspnea and hypoxemia after his nasopharyngeal swab was positive for SARS-CoV-2 for the fourth time. He had an elevated serum lactate dehydrogenase and a positive 1, 3-β-D-glucan test. The PCR test for Pneumocystis jirovecii in the sputum was positive. The patient was diagnosed with persistent COVID-19 and Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia. He responded well to the combination treatment of antiviral medication, convalescent plasma, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole and corticosteroids.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the efficacy of pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) without intraocular tamponade in the treatment of high myopic eyes with myopic foveoschisis (MF) accompanied by foveal detachment (FD). Methods: A retrospective case series study was conducted. The medical records of patients diagnosed with unilateral MF accompanied by FD at the Eye & ENT Hospital of Fudan University between May 2018 and December 2021 were collected. All patients underwent 23-gauge PPV with posterior vitreous cortex clearance, and no intraocular tamponade was applied. The cases were divided into groups based on whether the internal limiting membrane was peeled during surgery or retained. Follow-up was conducted for at least 12 months. The main outcome measures included postoperative best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA, converted to logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution), central foveal thickness (CFT), MF resolution, and complications. Statistical analyses were performed using t-tests, chi-square tests, Fisher's exact tests, and univariate and multivariate linear regression. Results: A total of 40 patients (40 eyes) with MF and FD were included in the study, with 30.0% being male and 70.0% female. The mean age was (56.9±11.7) years, and the axial length of the eyes was (29.1±1.9) mm. At 12 months postoperatively, BCVA improved from baseline 1.15±0.58 to 0.73±0.39 (t=6.11, P<0.001), and CFT decreased from baseline (610.1±207.2) μm to (155.9±104.1) μm (t=13.47, P<0.001). Complete resolution of MF with foveal reattachment was observed in 80.0% of eyes, with a median time of 6 (5, 8) months. There was no significant difference in BCVA and CFT between the internal limiting membrane peeled group and retained group [0.68±0.39 vs. 0.79±0.40, t=0.85, P=0.403; (148.3±63.8)vs.(164.3±137.2)um,t=0.48, P=0.634]. One eye experienced macular hole and another eye developed retinal detachment postoperatively. Correlation analysis showed a positive correlation between BCVA at 12 months postoperatively and baseline BCVA (β=0.433, P<0.001). Conclusions: Pars plana vitrectomy without intraocular tamponade is effective in treating MF accompanied by FD. The choice between internal limiting membrane peeling and retention does not significantly affect visual prognosis.

Abstract
ATLAS measured the centrality dependence of the dijet yield using 165 nb^{-1} of p+Pb data collected at sqrt[s_{NN}]=8.16 TeV in 2016. The event centrality, which reflects the p+Pb impact parameter, is characterized by the total transverse energy registered in the Pb-going side of the forward calorimeter. The central-to-peripheral ratio of the scaled dijet yields, R_{CP}, is evaluated, and the results are presented as a function of variables that reflect the kinematics of the initial hard parton scattering process. The R_{CP} shows a scaling with the Bjorken x of the parton originating from the proton, x_{p}, while no such trend is observed as a function of x_{Pb}. This analysis provides unique input to understanding the role of small proton spatial configurations in p+Pb collisions by covering parton momentum fractions from the valence region down to x_{p}∼10^{-3} and x_{Pb}∼4×10^{-4}.

Abstract
Hydrogel adhesives with integrated functionalities are still required to match their ever-expanding practical applications in the field of tissue repair and regeneration. A simple and effective safety strategy is reported, involving an in situ injectable polymer precursor and visible light-induced cross-linking. This strategy enables the preparation of a hydrogel adhesive in a physiological environment, offering wet adhesion to tissue surfaces, molecular flexibility, biodegradability, biocompatibility, efficient hemostatic performance, and the ability to facilitate liver injury repair. The proposed one-step preparation process of this polymer precursor involves the mixing of gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA), poly(thioctic acid) [P(TA)], poly(acrylic acid)/amorphous calcium phosphate (PAAc/ACP, PA) and FDA-approved photoinitiator solution, and a subsequent visible light irradiation after in situ injection into target tissues that resulted in a chemically-physically cross-linked hybrid hydrogel adhesive. Such a combined strategy shows promise for medical scenarios, such as uncontrollable post-traumatic bleeding.

Abstract
Periodontal bone regeneration remains a clinical challenge, and hyperlipidemia can aggravate alveolar bone resorption. Probiotics have recently been reported to improve bone mass. We aimed to determine the role of Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) in periodontal bone regeneration improvement within the context of periodontitis with hyperlipidemia. A Sprague Dawley rat model for periodontitis, hyperlipidemia, and periodontal fenestration defect was constructed (n = 36) and administered LGG gavage for 6 wk (the rats were subsequently sacrificed). Fecal microbiota from donor rats 3 wk after LGG gavage was transplanted into recipient rats to evaluate the role of LGG-modulated gut microbiota in periodontal bone regeneration. Regenerated bone mass was detected using micro-computerized tomography and hematoxylin and eosin stain. Gut microbiota was analyzed using 16S ribosomal RNA sequencing. Serum metabolites were detected by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (6 wk after LGG gavage). The pro-osteogenic effects of screened serum metabolite were verified in vitro on bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMMSCs). We found that the bone mineral density, bone volume (BV), trabecular bone volume fraction (BV/TV), and trabecular thickness of the regenerated periodontal bone increased after LGG gavage (P < 0.05) but had little effect on oral flora. After LGG gavage, Staphylococcus, Corynebacterium, and Collinsella in the gut of donors were significantly changed, and these differences were maintained in recipients, who also showed increased trabecular thickness of the regenerated periodontal bone (P < 0.05). These key genera were correlated with BV/TV and BV (P < 0.05). In addition, LGG gavage significantly regulated bone-related blood metabolites, of which selenomethionine promoted BMMSC osteogenesis. Notably, selenomethionine was associated with key gut genera (P < 0.05). Collectively, LGG improved periodontal bone regeneration in the context of periodontitis with hyperlipidemia by modulating gut microbiota and increasing pro-osteogenic metabolites in the blood. These results reveal new insights into the use of probiotics to promote periodontal bone regeneration via the gut-blood-bone axis.

[Clinicopathological factors and clinical significance of No.12b lymph node metastasis in gastric antrum cancer]. Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological factors and clinical significance of (micro)metastasis in No.12b lymph node in patients with gastric antrum cancer. Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study of data of 242 patients with gastric adenocarcinoma without distant metastasis, complete follow-up data, and no preoperative anti-tumor therapy or history of other malignancies. All study patients had undergone radical gastrectomy (at least D2 radical range) + No.12b lymph node dissection in the Department of Gastric Surgery of Liaoning Cancer Hospital from January 2007 to December 2012. Immunohistochemical staining with antibody CK8/18 was used to detect micrometastasis to lymph nodes. Patients with positive findings on hematoxylin and eosin stained specimens and/or CK8/18 positivity in No.12b lymph node were diagnosed as having No.12b (micro)metastasis and included in the No.12b positive group. All other patients were classified as 12b negative. We investigated the impact of No.12b (micro)metastasis by comparing the clinicopathological characteristics and recurrence free survival (RFS) of these two groups of patients and subjecting possible risk factors to statistical analysis. Results: Traditional hematoxylin-eosin staining showed that 15/242 patients were positive for No.12b lymph nodes and 227 were negative. A total of 241 negative No. 12b lymph nodes were detected. Immunohistochemical testing revealed that seven of these 241 No.12b lymph nodes (2.9%) were positive for micrometastasis. A further seven positive nodes were identified among the 227 nodes (3.1%) that had been evaluated as negative on hematoxylin-eosin-stained sections. Thus, 22 /242 patients' (9.1%) No.12b nodes were positive for micrometastases, the remaining 220 (90.9%) being negative. Factor analysis showed that No.12b lymph node (micro) metastasis is associated with more severe invasion of the gastric serosa (HR=3.873, 95%CI: 1.676-21.643, P=0.006), T3 stage (HR=1.615, 95%CI: 1.113-1.867, P=0.045), higher N stage (HR=1.768, 95%CI: 1.187-5.654, P=0.019), phase III of TNM stage (HR=2.129, 95%CI: 1.102-3.475, P=0.046), and lymph node metastasis in the No.1/No.8a/No.12a groups (HR=0.451, 95%CI: 0.121-0.552, P=0.035; HR=0.645, 95%CI:0.071-0.886, P=0.032; HR=1.512, 95%CI: 1.381-2.100, P=0.029, respectively). Survival analysis showed that the 5-year RFS of patients in the No.12b positive group was worse than that of those in the No.12b negative group (18.2% vs. 34.5%, P<0.001). Independent predictors of RFS were poorer differentiation of the primary tumor (HR=0.528, 95%CI:0.288-0.969, P=0.039), more severe serous invasion (HR=1.262, 95%CI:1.039-1.534, P=0.019), higher T/N/TNM stage (HR=4.880, 95%CI: 1.909-12.476, P<0.001; HR=2.332, 95%CI: 1.640-3.317, P<0.001; HR=0.139, 95%CI: 0.027-0.713, P=0.018, respectively), and lymph node metastasis in the No.12a/No.12b group(HR=0.698, 95%CI:0.518-0.941, P=0.018; HR=0.341, 95%CI:0.154-0.758,P=0.008, respectively). Conclusion: Detection of micrometastasis can improve the rate of positive lymph nodes. In patients with gastric antrum cancer, dissection of group No.12b lymph nodes may improve the prognosis of those with intraoperative evidence of tumor invasion into the serosa, more than two lymph node metastases, and suspicious lymph nodes in groups No.1 / No.8a / 12a.

Abstract
Searches for new resonances are performed using an unsupervised anomaly-detection technique. Events with at least one electron or muon are selected from 140 fb^{-1} of pp collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV recorded by ATLAS at the Large Hadron Collider. The approach involves training an autoencoder on data, and subsequently defining anomalous regions based on the reconstruction loss of the decoder. Studies focus on nine invariant mass spectra that contain pairs of objects consisting of one light jet or b jet and either one lepton (e,μ), photon, or second light jet or b jet in the anomalous regions. No significant deviations from the background hypotheses are observed. Limits on contributions from generic Gaussian signals with various widths of the resonance mass are obtained for nine invariant masses in the anomalous regions.

Abstract
Five previously unknown isotopes (^{182,183}Tm, ^{186,187}Yb, ^{190}Lu) were produced, separated, and identified for the first time at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) using the Advanced Rare Isotope Separator (ARIS). The new isotopes were formed through the interaction of a ^{198}Pt beam with a carbon target at an energy of 186 MeV/u and with a primary beam power of 1.5 kW. Event-by-event particle identification of A, Z, and q for the reaction products was performed by combining measurements of the energy loss, time of flight, magnetic rigidity Bρ, and total kinetic energy. The ARIS separator has a novel two-stage design with high resolving power to strongly suppress contaminant beams. This successful new isotope search was performed less than one year after FRIB operations began and demonstrates the discovery potential of the facility which will ultimately provide 400 kW of primary beam power.

Abstract
The mainstream of image and sentence matching studies currently focuses on fine-grained alignment of image regions and sentence words. However, these methods miss a crucial fact: the correspondence between images and sentences does not simply come from alignments between individual regions and words but from alignments between the phrases they form respectively. In this work, we propose a novel Decoupled Cross-modal Phrase-Attention network (DCPA) for image-sentence matching by modeling the relationships between textual phrases and visual phrases. Furthermore, we design a novel decoupled manner for training and inferencing, which is able to release the trade-off for bi-directional retrieval, where image-to-sentence matching is executed in textual semantic space and sentence-to-image matching is executed in visual semantic space. Extensive experimental results on Flickr30K and MS-COCO demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms state-of-the-art methods by a large margin, and can compete with some methods introducing external knowledge.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of Echinococcus multilocularis on the phenotypic transformations of glucose metabolism, polarization types and inflammatory responses in macrophages, so as to provide insights into elucidation of echinococcosis pathogenesis. METHODS Bone marrow cells were isolated from C57BL/6J mice at ages of 6 to 8 weeks, and induced into bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMDMs) with mouse macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF), which served as controls (BMDMs-M0). BMDMs-M0 induced M2 macrophages by interleukin-4 for 24 hours served as the IL-4 induction group, and BMDMs-M0 co-cultured with 2.4 ng/mL E. multilocularis cystic fluid (CF) served as the BMDM-CF co-culture group, while BMDMs-M0 co-cultured with E. multilocularis protoscolex (PSC) at a ratio of 500:1 served as the BMDM-PSC co-culture group. The types of polarization of BMDMs co-cultured with E. multilocularis CF and PSC were analyzed using flow cytometry, and the expression of macrophage markers, inflammatory factors, and glucose metabolism-related enzymes was quantified using fluorescent quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) and Western blotting assays. RESULTS There were significant differences among the four groups in terms of Arginase-1 (Arg1) (F = 1 457.00, P < 0.000 1), macrophages-derived C-C motif chemokine 22 (Ccl22) (F = 22 203.00, P < 0.000 1), resistin-like α (Retnla) (F = 151.90, P < 0.000 1), inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) (F = 107.80, P < 0.001), hexokinase (HK) (F = 9 389.00, P < 0.000 1), pyruvate kinase (PK) (F = 641.40, P < 0.001), phosphofructokinase 1 (PFK1) (F = 43.97, P < 0.01), glucokinase (GK) (F = 432.50, P < 0.000 1), pyruvate dehydrogenase kinases1 (PDK1) (F = 737.30, P < 0.000 1), lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) (F = 3 632.00, P < 0.000 1), glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1) (F = 532.40, P < 0.000 1), glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) (F = 460.00, P < 0.000 1), citrate synthase (CS) (F = 5 642.00, P < 0.01), glycogen synthase1 (GYS1) (F = 273.30, P < 0.000 1), IL-6 (F = 1 823.00, P < 0.000 1), IL-10 (F = 291.70, P < 0.000 1), IL-1β (F = 986.60, P < 0.000 1), and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α (F = 334.80, P < 0.000 1) and transforming growth factor (TGF)-β mRNA expression (F = 163.30, P < 0.001). The proportion of M2 macrophages was significantly higher than that of M1 macrophages in the BMDM-PSC co-culture group [(22.87% ±1.48%) vs. (1.70% ±0.17%); t = 24.61, P < 0.001], and the proportion of M2 macrophages was significantly higher than that of M1 macrophages in the BMDM-CF co-culture group [(20.07% ±0.64%) vs. (1.93% ±0.25%); t = 45.73, P < 0.001]. The mRNA expression of M2 macrophages markers Arg1, Ccl22 and Retnla was significantly higher in the BMDM-CF and BMDM-PSC co-culture groups than in the control group (all P values < 0.01), and no significant difference was seen in the mRNA expression of the M1 macrophage marker iNOS among the three groups (P > 0.05), while qPCR assay quantified higher mRNA expression of key glycolytic enzymes HK, PK and PFK, as well as inflammatory factors IL-10, IL-1β, TNF-α and TGF-β in the BMDM-CF and BMDM-PSC co-culture groups than in the control group (all P values < 0.01). Western blotting assay determined higher HK, PK and PFK protein expression in the BMDM-PSC co-culture group than in the control group (all P values < 0.05), and qPCR quantified higher GLUT1, GAPDH and IL-6 mRNA expression in the BMDM-CF co-culture group than in the control group (all P values < 0.05), while higher HK, PK and PFK protein and mRNA expression (all P values < 0.01), as well as lower IL-6 and TNF-α and higher TGF-β mRNA expression (both P values < 0.05) was detected in the IL-4 induction group than in the control group. Glycolytic stress test showed no significant difference in the extracellular acidification rate (ECAR) of mouse BMDM among the control group, IL-4 induction group and BMDM-PSC co-culture group (F = 124.4, P < 0.05), and a higher ECAR was seen in the BMDM-PSC co-culture group and a lower ECAR was found in the IL-4 induction group than in the control group (both P values < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS Treatment of E. multilocularis CF or PSC mainly causes polarization of BMDM into M2 macrophages, and phenotypic transformation of glucose metabolism into high-energy and high-glycolytic metabolism, and affects inflammatory responses in BMDM.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Serum lipid levels are associated with cancer risk. However, there still have uncertainties about the single and combined effects of low lipid levels on cancer risk. METHODS A prospective cohort study of 33,773 adults in Shanghai between 2016 and 2017 was conducted. Total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels were measured. Cox proportional hazard models were used to assess the association of single and combined lipids with overall, lung, colon, rectal, thyroid gland, stomach, and female breast cancers. The effect of the combination of abnormal lipid score and lifestyle on cancer was also estimated. RESULTS A total of 926 incident cancer cases were identified. In the RCS analysis, hazard ratios (HRs) of overall cancer for individuals with TC < 5.18 mmol/L or with LDL-C < 3.40 mmol/L were higher. Low TC was associated with higher colorectal cancer risk (HR [95% CI] = 1.76 [1.09-2.84]) and low HDL-C increased thyroid cancer risk by 90%. Abnormal lipid score was linearly and positively associated with cancer risk, and smokers with high abnormal lipid scores had a higher cancer risk, compared to non-smokers with low abnormal lipid scores (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS Low TC levels were associated with an increased risk of overall and colorectal cancer. More attention should be paid to participants with high abnormal lipid scores and unhealthy lifestyles who may have a higher risk of developing cancer. Determining the specific and comprehensive lipid combinations that affect tumorigenesis remains a valuable challenge.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the prevalence of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of artemisinin resistance-related Pfubp1 and Pfap2mu genes in Plasmodium falciparum isolates from Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea, so as to to provide baseline data for the formulation of malaria control strategies in Bioko Island. METHODS A total of 184 clinical blood samples were collected from patients with P. falciparum malaria in Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea from 2018 to 2020, and genomic DNA was extracted. The Pfubp1 and Pfap2mu gene SNPs of P. falciparum were determined using a nested PCR assay and Sanger sequencing, and the gene sequences were aligned. RESULTS There were 159 wild-type P. falciparum isolates (88.83%) from Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea, and 6 SNPs were identified in 20 Pfubp1-mutant P. falciparum isolates (11.17%), in which 4 non-synonymous mutations were detected, including E1516G, K1520E, D1525E, E1528D. There was only one Pfubp1gene mutation site in 19 Pfubp1-mutant P. falciparum isolates (95.00%), in which non-synonymous mutations accounted for 68.42% (13/19). D1525E and E1528D were identified as major known epidemic mutation sites in the Pfubp1 gene associated with resistance to artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs). At amino acid position 1525, there were 178 wild-type P. falciparum isolates (99.44%) and 1 mutant isolate (0.56%), with such a mutation site identified in blood samples in 2018, and at amino acid position 1528, there were 167 wild-type P. falciparum isolates (93.30%) and 12 mutant isolates (6.70%). The proportions of wild-type P. falciparum isolates were 95.72% (134/140), 79.25% (126/159) and 95.83% (161/168) in the target amplification fragments of the three regions in the Pfap2mu gene (Pfap2mu-inner1, Pfap2mu-inner2, Pfap2mu-inner3), respectively. There were 16 different SNPs identified in all successfully sequenced P. falciparum isolates, in which 7 non-synonymous mutations were detected, including S160N, K199T, A475V, S508G, I511M, L595F, and Y603H. There were 7 out of 43 Pfap2mu-mutant P. falciparum isolates (16.28%) that harbored only one gene mutation site, in which non-synonymous mutations accounted for 28.57% (2/7). For the known delayed clearance locus S160N associated with ACTs, there were 143 wild-type (89.94%) and 16 Pfap2mu-mutant P. falciparum isolates (10.06%). CONCLUSIONS Both Pfubp1 and Pfap2mu gene mutations were detected in P. falciparum isolates from Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea from 2018 to 2020, with a low prevalence rate of Pfubp1 gene mutation and a high prevalence rate of Pfap2mu gene mutation. In addition, new mutation sites were identified in the Pfubp1 (E1504E and K1520E) and Pfap2mu genes (A475V and S508G).

Abstract
OBJECTIVE We aimed to explore the effectiveness of the modified tubularized incised plate urethroplasty (Snodgrass Technique) in hypospadias surgery. PATIENTS AND METHODS A study was conducted on 50 pediatric patients with hypospadias treated in our hospital from May 2020 to May 2023. The patients were divided into two groups based on the condition of their urethral plate; 22 patients were included in the study group and 28 patients were included in the control group. The control group underwent the traditional Snodgrass technique, while the study group received the modified Snodgrass technique. The two groups were compared in terms of treatment efficacy, preoperative and postoperative 6-month Hypospadias Objective Scoring Evaluation (HOSE) scores, surgical data, and postoperative complications. RESULTS The operation time for the study group was longer than that of the control group, and the intraoperative blood loss was less, but the differences were not statistically significant (p > 0.05). The success rate of surgery in the study group was 95.45% (21/22), compared to 71.43% (20/28) in the control group, showing a statistically significant difference (p < 0.05). The maximum urinary flow rate at 3 and 6 months postoperatively was significantly higher in the study group than in the control group (p < 0.05). The time to maximum flow (TQmax) and post-void residual (PVR) at 3 and 6 months postoperatively were significantly lower in the study group (p < 0.05). A total of 3 patients in the cohort developed urethral fistulas, all between 0.10 cm x 0.10 cm and 0.15 cm x 0.15 cm in size. By instructing the patients to apply pressure to the fistula during urination, all fistulas closed between 3 and 6 months postoperatively. The incidence of postoperative complications was 4.55% in the study group and 28.57% in the control group, a difference that was statistically significant (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS The modified Snodgrass technique shows significant therapeutic effectiveness in hypospadias surgery, substantially increasing the success rate and reducing postoperative complications in pediatric patients, making it suitable for widespread application.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The accurate identification and evaluation of lymph nodes by CT images is of great significance for disease diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. PURPOSE To assess the lymph nodes' segmentation, size, and station by artificial intelligence (AI) for unenhanced chest CT images and evaluate its value in clinical scenarios. MATERIAL AND METHODS This retrospective study proposed an end-to-end Lymph Nodes Analysis System (LNAS) consisting of three models: the Lymph Node Segmentation model (LNS), the Mediastinal Organ Segmentation model (MOS), and the Lymph Node Station Registration model (LNR). We selected a healthy chest CT image as the template image and annotated 14 lymph node station masks according to the IASLC to build the lymph node station mapping template. The exact contours and stations of the lymph nodes were annotated by two junior radiologists and reviewed by a senior radiologist. Patients aged 18 and above, who had undergone unenhanced chest CT and had at least one suspicious enlarged mediastinal lymph node in imaging reports, were included. Exclusions were patients who had thoracic surgeries in the past 2 weeks or artifacts on CT images affecting lymph node observation by radiologists. The system was trained on 6725 consecutive chest CTs that from Tianjin Medical University General Hospital, among which 6249 patients had suspicious enlarged mediastinal lymph nodes. A total of 519 consecutive chest CTs from Qilu Hospital of Shandong University (Qingdao) were used for external validation. The gold standard for each CT was determined by two radiologists and reviewed by one senior radiologist. RESULTS The patient-level sensitivity of the LNAS system reached of 93.94% and 92.89% in internal and external test dataset, respectively. And the lesion-level sensitivity (recall) reached 89.48% and 85.97% in internal and external test dataset. For man-machine comparison, AI significantly apparently shortened the average reading time (p < 0.001) and had better lesion-level and patient-level sensitivities. CONCLUSION AI improved the sensitivity lymph node segmentation by radiologists with an advantage in reading time.

Abstract
ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE Dioscorea bulbifera L. (Rhizoma Dioscoreae Bulbiferae; RDB) is commonly used as an expectorant and cough suppressant herb but is accompanied by severe hepatotoxicity. Using the juice of auxiliary herbs (such as Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch. (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma; GRR) juice) in concocting poisonous Chinese medicine is a conventional method to reduce toxicity or increase effects. Our previous study found that concoction with GRR juice provided a detoxifying effect against the major toxic hepatotoxicity induced by RDB, but the principle for the detoxification of the concoction is unknown to date. AIM OF THE STUDY The principle of concoction was investigated by using the processing excipient GRR juice to reduce the major toxic hepatotoxicity of RDB, and the efficacy of RDB as an expectorant and cough suppressant was enhanced. MATERIALS AND METHODS In this study, common factors (RDB:GRR ratio, concocted temperature, and concocted time) in the concoction process were used for the preparation of each RDB concocted with GRR juice by using an orthogonal experimental design. We measured the content of the main toxic compound diosbulbin B (DB) and serum biochemical indicators and performed pathological analysis in liver tissues of mice to determine the best detoxification process of RDB concocted with GRR juice. On this basis, the biological mechanisms of target organs were detected by Western blot and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay at the inflammation and apoptosis levels. Further, the effects of RDB on expectorant and cough suppressant with GRR juice were evaluated by the conventional tests of phenol red expectorant and concentrated ammonia-induced cough. Lastly, the major compounds in the GRR juice introduced to RDB concoction were determined. RESULTS RDB concocted with GRR juice significantly alleviated DB content, serum alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase levels, and improved liver pathological damages. The best detoxification process was achieved by using an RDB:GRR ratio of 100:20 at 120 °C for 20 min. Further, RDB concocted with GRR juice down-regulated the protein levels of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB), cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2), and Bcl-2 related X protein (Bax) in the liver and enhanced the expectorant and cough suppressant effects of RDB. Finally, liquiritin (LQ) and glycyrrhizic acid (GA) in the GRR juice were introduced to the RDB concoction. CONCLUSION Concoction with GRR juice not only effectively reduced the major toxic hepatotoxicity of RDB but also enhanced its main efficacy as an expectorant and cough suppressant, and that the rationale for the detoxification and/or potentiation of RDB was related to the reduction in the content of the main hepatotoxic compound, DB, the introduction of the hepatoprotective active compounds, LQ and GA, in the auxiliary GRR juice, as well as the inhibition of NF-κB/COX-2/Bax signaling-mediated inflammation and apoptosis.

Abstract
The health benefits of probiotics in the body are predicated on their ability to remain viable in harsh gastrointestinal conditions and complex pathological microenvironments. Casein and gum Arabic (GA), with dual emulsifying and stabilising effects in colloidal systems. Therefore, the objective of this research was to develop a novel microcapsule to encapsulate Lactiplantibacillus plantarum A3 using casein and GA as wall materials to improve the survival of the bacteria during gastrointestinal digestion, storage and lyophilization. The casein and GA composite microcapsules were prepared and characterised by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It was found that the microcapsules had stable morphology, uniform size and spherical shape. The results revealed that the encapsulation of microcapsules significantly improved the survival of L. plantarum A3 in gastrointestinal fluid environment (5.52 × 109 cfu/ml) and lyophilization treatment (6.25 × 109 cfu/ml). Furthermore, the microencapsulated L. plantarum A3 exhibited an improved ability to regulate intestinal microbiota by effectively increasing the relative abundance of Bacteroidetes, Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria and decreasing the relative abundance of Firmicutes in vivo. The findings of the study will help to design a lactic acid bacteria encapsulation system based on the gastrointestinal environment and provide a basis for the development of probiotic functional products.

Abstract
Recent learning-based methods demonstrate their strong ability to estimate depth for multi-view stereo reconstruction. However, most of these methods directly extract features via regular or deformable convolutions, and few works consider the alignment of the receptive fields between views while constructing the cost volume. Through analyzing the constraint and inference of previous MVS networks, we find that there are still some shortcomings that hinder the performance. To deal with the above issues, we propose an Epipolar-Guided Multi-View Stereo Network with Interval-Aware Label (EI-MVSNet), which includes an epipolar-guided volume construction module and an interval-aware depth estimation module in a unified architecture for MVS. The proposed EI-MVSNet enjoys several merits. First, in the epipolar-guided volume construction module, we construct cost volume with features from aligned receptive fields between different pairs of reference and source images via epipolar-guided convolutions, which take rotation and scale changes into account. Second, in the interval-aware depth estimation module, we attempt to supervise the cost volume directly and make depth estimation independent of extraneous values by perceiving the upper and lower boundaries, which can achieve fine-grained predictions and enhance the reasoning ability of the network. Extensive experimental results on two standard benchmarks demonstrate that our EI-MVSNet performs favorably against state-of-the-art MVS methods. Specifically, our EI-MVSNet ranks 1st on both intermediate and advanced subsets of the Tanks and Temples benchmark, which verifies the high precision and strong robustness of our model.

Abstract
This Letter reports the observation of WZγ production and a measurement of its cross section using 140.1±1.2 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data recorded at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The WZγ production cross section, with both the W and Z bosons decaying leptonically, pp→WZγ→ℓ^{'}^{±}νℓ^{+}ℓ^{-}γ (ℓ^{(^{'})}=e, μ), is measured in a fiducial phase-space region defined such that the leptons and the photon have high transverse momentum and the photon is isolated. The cross section is found to be 2.01±0.30(stat)±0.16(syst) fb. The corresponding standard model predicted cross section calculated at next-to-leading order in perturbative quantum chromodynamics and at leading order in the electroweak coupling constant is 1.50±0.06 fb. The observed significance of the WZγ signal is 6.3σ, compared with an expected significance of 5.0σ.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate a modified fusional convergence parameter-total convergence amplitude/distance angle and its relationship with exotropia control, stereoacuity, and other visual functions in intermittent exotropia. Methods: The cross-sectional study included children diagnosed with intermittent exotropia at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from August 2020 to June 2021. A modification was made by combining total convergence amplitude using synoptophore and distance angle at distance using prism bars to calculate total convergence amplitude/distance angle. Exotropia control at distance and near measured by Office-based Scale for Assessing Control was classified as good control (scale 0-1) and poor control (scale 2-5). Statistical analysis was performed using Spearman correlation analysis, Mann-Whitney U test, Fisher's exact test, χ2 test, logistic regression analysis, and mediation effect analysis. Results: The study included 212 patients, of which 105 (49.5%) were male and 107 (50.5%) were female. The median (interquartile range) age was 9.0 (8.0, 10.0) years. Of 211 cases, 201 (94.8%) had binocular fusional function, while 11 cases (5.2%) did not have binocular fusional function. Among patients with binocular fusional function, inverse correlation was observed between total convergence amplitude and exotropia control scores for both distance (r=-0.427, P<0.001) and near (r=-0.194, P=0.006). Total convergence amplitude/distance angle was an independent predictive factor for exotropia control at distance (OR=0.195; 95%CI, 0.060-0.630; P=0.006) and near (OR=0.252; 95%CI, 0.085-0.746; P=0.013). Stereoacuity at distance (OR=3.110; 95%CI, 1.311-7.379; P=0.010) and near (OR=2.780; 95%CI, 1.401-5.517; P=0.003) were also factors associated with distance exotropia control. Mediation analysis revealed that stereoacuity was not a mediating factor between the ratio and distance control (distance: P=0.066; near: P=0.181). In patients with ratio≥1.5 °/PD, all the 15 patients demonstrated good control. On the contrary, patients with ratio<1.5 °/PD showed worse exotropia control (distance: P=0.001; near: P=0.040) and larger angles of deviation (distance: P<0.001; near: P<0.001). Conclusion: The modified fusional ratio, total convergence amplitude/distance angle, combining synoptophore and prism bars, could be used to evaluate the severity of intermittent exotropia. A higher ratio may be associated with poorer exotropia control. Though it may also be associated with distance exotropia control, stereoacuity is not the mediating factor between the modified ratio and distance exotropia control.

Abstract
Tissue adhesives have attracted intense and increasing interest due to their multiple biomedical applications. Despite the rapid development of adhesive hydrogels, huge challenges remain for materials that can ensure strong adhesion and seal hemostasis in aqueous and blood environments. To address this issue, we have developed an innovative design of PAA-based coacervate hydrogel with strong wet adhesion capability through a simple mixture of PAA copolymers with oxidized-carboxymethylcellulose (OCMC), and tannic acid (TA) as the main components, and structurally enhanced with natural clays (Laponite XLG). The absorbed TA provides solid adhesion to dry and wet substrates via multiple interactions, which endows the XLG-enhanced coacervate with the desired underwater adhesive strength. More importantly, the dielectric constant is introduced to evaluate the polarity of the tested samples, which may be used as guidance for the design of mussel-inspired adhesives with even better underwater adhesive properties. In vivo hemorrhage experiments further confirmed that the hydrogel adhesive dramatically shortened the hemostatic time to tens of seconds. Overall, the persistent adhesion and acceptable cytocompatibility of the hydrogel nanocomposite make it a promising alternative suture-free approach for rapid hemostasis at different length scales and is expected to be extended to clinical application for other organ injuries.

Abstract
A measurement of the mass of the Higgs boson combining the H→ZZ^{*}→4ℓ and H→γγ decay channels is presented. The result is based on 140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data collected by the ATLAS detector during LHC run 2 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV combined with the run 1 ATLAS mass measurement, performed at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, yielding a Higgs boson mass of 125.11±0.09(stat)±0.06(syst)=125.11±0.11 GeV. This corresponds to a 0.09% precision achieved on this fundamental parameter of the Standard Model of particle physics.

Abstract
A search for events with a dark photon produced in association with a dark Higgs boson via rare decays of the standard model Z boson is presented, using 139 fb^{-1} of sqrt[s]=13 TeV proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The dark boson decays into a pair of dark photons, and at least two of the three dark photons must each decay into a pair of electrons or muons, resulting in at least two same-flavor opposite-charge lepton pairs in the final state. The data are found to be consistent with the background prediction, and upper limits are set on the dark photon's coupling to the dark Higgs boson times the kinetic mixing between the standard model photon and the dark photon, α_{D}ϵ^{2}, in the dark photon mass range of [5, 40] GeV except for the ϒ mass window [8.8, 11.1] GeV. This search explores new parameter space not previously excluded by other experiments.

Abstract
Objective: To construct a targeted and accurate evaluation system for facial and cervical wounds and scars of burn patients. Methods: The method combining literature analysis and survey research was adopted, and the basic principles of item system construction were followed. From June to August 2020, based on the aesthetic standards of facial and cervical plastic surgery, the topographic map assessment system for facial and cervical wounds and scars of burn patients was preliminarily formed, focusing on the assessment of wounds and scars in the necks and faces of patients after burns. In September 2020, 38 experts in the relevant fields were consulted in advance and the questionnaire was revised according to the experts' opinions. From December 2020 to March 2021, the Delphi method was applied to conduct inquiry by correspondence with 35 experts in relevant fields from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, and other cities, who met the inclusion criteria, and the items were screened and established. The effective recovery rate of inquiry questionnaire was calculated to determine the level of enthusiasm of experts, the average authority coefficient of all items was calculated to determine the level of expert authority, the average importance expert score, the average coefficient of variation, and the average full score rate of all the third-level items were calculated to determine the concentration of expert opinions, the average coefficients of variation and Kendall's harmony coefficients of the importance, sensitivity, and operability expert scores of all the third-level items were calculated to determine the degree of coordination of expert opinions. The Kendall's harmony coefficients for the importance, sensitivity, and operability expert scores of all the third-level items were statistically analyzed with chi-square test. Results: Among the 35 experts consulted by Delphi method, mainly were male, aged (48±10) years, with 8-38 years of working experience, mainly with associate senior titles and above, all with a bachelor's degree or above education background, and of whom 11 were burn experts, 7 were wound repair experts, 4 were plastic surgery experts, and 13 were rehabilitation medicine experts. Finally, a topographic map assessment system for facial and cervical wounds and scars of burn patients was formed, including 4 first-level items, 21 second-level items, 40 third-level items, and 1 mask. The effective recovery rate of inquiry questionnaire was 100% (35/35). The average authority coefficient of all items was 0.89. The average importance expert score was 4.67, the average coefficient of variation of importance expert score was 0.01, and the average full score rate of all the third-level items was 86.3%. The average coefficients of variation of the importance, sensitivity, and operability expert scores of all the third-level items were 0.01, 0.01, and 0.02, respectively. The Kendall's harmony coefficients for the importance, sensitivity, and operability expert scores of all the third-level items were statistically significant (with χ2 values of 1 201.53, 745.67, and 707.07, respectively, P<0.05). Conclusions: The established topographic map assessment system for facial and cervical wounds and scars of burn patients has high scientificity and reliability, which can be used for the evaluation of facial and neck wounds or scars in burn patients.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate and analyze the allocation equality of occupational health technology service resource of Gansu disease control and prevention institutions, providing reference basis for optimizing the allocation of occupational health technology service resources. Methods: Combined with the survey data in September 2021, Gansu Province was divided into five economic regions by geographical location and economic characteristics. Taking the service number of enterprises and workers as the analysis dimensions, the allocation level of occupational health technology service resources in different regions was compared. The allocation equality was analyzed through Lorentz curve, Gini coefficient and Theil index. Results: There were 301 occupational health technicians and 1914 sampling and testing equipments of Gansu Provincial disease control and prevention institutions in 2021. All of the technicians and equipments were used for serving 1952 enterprises and 465800 workers. The curvature of Lorentz curves and Gini coefficient which measured by the service number of enterprises and workers were: occupational health technicians>radioactive factor sampling and testing equipment >physical factor sampling and testing equipment >chemical factor sampling and testing equipment, and chemical factor sampling and testing equipment>physical factor sampling and testing equipment >radioactive factor sampling and testing equipment >occupational health technicians, respectively. Theil index of occupational health technology service resources suggested that differences in regions were the main unfair reason effected the allocation of occupational health technicians and radioactive factor sampling and testing equipment, while the differences between regions were the main unfair reason effected the allocation of chemical and physical factor sampling and testing equipment. Conclusion: The allocation equality in occupational health technology service resources of Gansu Provincial disease control and prevention institutions was not enough, and the differences in regions and between regions should be considered. This study suggests that it is necessary to introduce more occupational health technicians. The allocation of occupational health technology service resources should match with the number of local enterprises and the types of potential hazard factors of enterprises as far as possible.

Abstract
We tackle the problem of establishing dense correspondences between a pair of images in an efficient way. Most existing dense matching methods use 4D convolutions to filter incorrect matches, but 4D convolutions are highly inefficient due to their quadratic complexity. Besides, these methods learn features with fixed convolutions which cannot make learnt features robust to different challenge scenarios. To deal with these issues, we propose an Efficient Dynamic Correspondence Network (EDCNet) by jointly equipping pre-separate convolution (Psconv) and dynamic convolution (Dyconv) to establish dense correspondences in a coarse-to-fine manner. The proposed EDCNet enjoys several merits. First, two well-designed modules including a neighbourhood aggregation (NA) module and a dynamic feature learning (DFL) module are combined elegantly in the coarse-to-fine architecture, which is efficient and effective to establish both reliable and accurate correspondences. Second, the proposed NA module maintains linear complexity, showing its high efficiency. And our proposed DFL module has better flexibility to learn features robust to different challenges. Extensive experimental results show that our algorithm performs favorably against state-of-the-art methods on three challenging datasets including HPatches, Aachen Day-Night and InLoc.

Abstract
Establishing effective correspondences between a pair of images is difficult due to real-world challenges such as illumination, viewpoint and scale variations. Modern detector-based methods typically learn fixed detectors from a given dataset, which is hard to extract repeatable and reliable keypoints for various images with extreme appearance changes and weakly textured scenes. To deal with this problem, we propose a novel Dynamic Keypoint Detection Network (DKDNet) for robust image matching via a dynamic keypoint feature learning module and a guided heatmap activator. The proposed DKDNet enjoys several merits. First, the proposed dynamic keypoint feature learning module can generate adaptive keypoint features via the attention mechanism, which is flexibly updated with the current input image and can capture keypoints with different patterns. Second, the guided heatmap activator can effectively fuse multi-group keypoint heatmaps by fully considering the importance of different feature channels, which can realize more robust keypoint detection. Extensive experimental results on four standard benchmarks demonstrate that our DKDNet outperforms state-of-the-art image-matching methods by a large margin. Specifically, our DKDNet can outperform the best image-matching method by 2.1% in AUC@ 3px on HPatches, 3.74% in AUC@ 5° on ScanNet, 7.14% in AUC@ 5° on MegaDepth and 12.32% in AUC@ 5° on YFCC100M.

Aortic dissection is a life-threatening disease with acute onset,rapid progression and high mortality.Hemodynamic factors have important reference value in the development and treatment of aortic dissection.Computational fluid dynamics can intuitively and visually simulate the hemodynamic state of human blood vessels and quantify it numerically.However,computational fluid dynamics without fluid-structure interaction analysis cannot reflect the real situation of the human body.Therefore,the fluid-structure interaction numerical simulation of aortic dissection is worthy of further study to achieve more accurate evaluation of hemodynamic state,postoperative effect and risk prediction.In this paper,the application and research progress of computational fluid dynamics based on fluid-structure interaction technology in aortic dissection are briefly reviewed.

Abstract
Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is the most devastating subtype of stroke, nevertheless specific treatments with conclusive clinical benefit in improving outcomes of ICH remain lacking. The present study applied dl-3-n-butylphthalide (NBP), a compound approved for the treatment of ischemic stroke and rarely studied in ICH, to an experimental animal model of ICH, aiming to evaluate the therapeutic effects of NBP on ICH and the potential mechanisms. The results showed that rats receiving NBP administration exhibited a structural and functional restoration of brain after ICH mainly manifested as alleviation of neuronal apoptosis, suppression of neuroinflammation and oxidative stress, neurovascular remodeling, and eventually improvement of neurological deficits. In addition, several protein targets of NBP were revealed, which mainly play molecular functions of ribonucleoside triphosphate phosphatase activity, pyrophosphatase activity, hydrolase activity and GTPase activity, and participate in the biological process of brain development by regulating the formation of cellular components such as spindles, polymeric cytoskeletal fibers, microtubules and synapses, through mediating pathways such as VEGF signaling pathway, Fc epsilon RI signaling pathway, ECM-receptor interaction, Fc gamma R-mediated phagocytosis, peroxisome and so on, guiding the mechanism exploration of NBP therapy to some extent. Taken together, the study added some new evidence to the application of NBP in ICH treatment.

Abstract
This Letter reports the observation of single top quarks produced together with a photon, which directly probes the electroweak coupling of the top quark. The analysis uses 139 fb^{-1} of 13 TeV proton-proton collision data collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Requiring a photon with transverse momentum larger than 20 GeV and within the detector acceptance, the fiducial cross section is measured to be 688±23(stat) _{-71}^{+75}(syst) fb, to be compared with the standard model prediction of 515_{-42}^{+36} fb at next-to-leading order in QCD.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study aims to create an enhanced EPIRISK tool in order to correctly predict COVID-19 severity in various countries. The original EPIRISK tool was developed in 2018 to predict the epidemic risk and prioritise response. The tool was validated against nine historical outbreaks prior to 2020. However, it rated many high-income countries that had poor performance during the COVID-19 pandemic as having lower epidemic risk. STUDY DESIGN This study was designed to modify EPIRISK by reparameterizing risk factors and validate the enhanced tool against different outbreaks, including COVID-19. METHODS We identified three factors that could be indicators of poor performance witnessed in some high-income countries: leadership, culture and universal health coverage. By adding these parameters to EPIRISK, we created a series of models for the calibration and validation. These were tested against non-COVID outbreaks in nine countries and COVID-19 outbreaks in seven countries to identify the best-fit model. The COVID-19 severity was determined by the global incidence and mortality, which were equally divided into four levels. RESULTS The enhanced EPIRISK tool has 17 parameters, including seven disease-related and 10 country-related factors, with an algorithm developed for risk level classification. It correctly predicted the risk levels of COVID-19 for all seven countries and all nine historical outbreaks. CONCLUSIONS The enhanced EPIRSIK is a multifactorial tool that can be widely used in global infectious disease outbreaks for rapid epidemic risk analysis, assisting first responders, government and public health professionals with early epidemic preparedness and prioritising response to infectious disease outbreaks.

Abstract
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most common pathological subtype of lung cancer. Both environmental and genetic factors have been reported to impact the lung cancer susceptibility. We conducted a genome-wide association study (GWAS) of 287 NSCLC patients and 467 healthy controls in a Chinese population using the Illumina Genome-Wide Asian Screening Array Chip on 712,095 SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms). Using logistic regression modeling, GWAS identified 17 new noncoding region SNP loci associated with the NSCLC risk, and the top three (rs80040741, rs9568547, rs6010259) were under a stringent p-value (<3.02e-6). Notably, rs80040741 and rs6010259 were annotated from the intron regions of MUC3A and MLC1, respectively. Together with another five SNPs previously reported in Chinese NSCLC patients and another four covariates (e.g., smoking status, age, low dose CT screening, sex), a predictive model by machine learning methods can separate the NSCLC from healthy controls with an accuracy of 86%. This is the first time to apply machine learning method in predicting the NSCLC susceptibility using both genetic and clinical characteristics. Our findings will provide a promising method in NSCLC early diagnosis and improve our understanding of applying machine learning methods in precision medicine.
