Abstract
In recent years, supramolecular chirality has been greatly developed in asymmetric synthesis, chiral sensing and other research fields, but its application in molecular chiral recognition has not been extensively studied. In this paper, L-Boc-tyrosine methoxyester and phosphorus chloride salts were introduced into the framework of pillar[n]arene, and a pillar[5]arene-based supramolecular chiral polymer L-TPP-P was constructed. The supramolecular polymer had stable supramolecular chiral properties and could be used as a chiral solvation reagent for chiral recognition of mandelic acid MA. The molar ratio method and Scatchard plot showed that the complexation ratio of L-TPP-P (pillar[5]arene monomer as the reference object) and MA was 1 : 1, and the complexation constants of L-TPP-P with R-MA and S-MA were 4.51 × 105 M-1 and 6.5 × 104 M-1, respectively. The significant affinity difference of L-TPP-P for different enantiomers of MA showed the excellent chiral recognition and stereoselectivity of pillar[5]arene-based supramolecular polymers for MA. This study provides a new idea for a novel supramolecular polymer chiral recognition reagent or chiral recognition method.

Abstract
1. Skeletal muscle is an important component of chicken carcass. In chickens, the number of muscle fibres is fixed during the embryonic period, and muscle development during the embryonic period determines the muscle development potential after hatching.2. Beijing-You (BY) and Cornish (CN) chickens show completely different growth rates and body types, and two breeds were used in this study to explore the role of lncRNAs in muscle development during different chicken embryonic periods. A systematic analysis of lncRNAs and mRNAs were conducted in the pectoral muscle tissues of BY and CN chickens at embryonic days 11 (ED11), 13 (ED13), 15 (ED15), 17 (ED17), and 1-day-old (D1) using RNA-seq. A total of 4,104 differentially expressed transcripts (DETs) were identified among the five stages, including 2,359 lncRNAs and 1,745 mRNAs.3. The number of DETs between the two breeds at ED17 (1,658 lncRNAs and 1,016 mRNAs) was much higher than the total number of DET at all the other stages (692 lncRNAs and 729 mRNAs), indicating that the two breeds show the largest difference in gene regulation at ED17.4. Correlation analysis was performed for all differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs during the five periods. Forty-three, cis interaction pairs of lncRNA-mRNA related to chicken muscle development were predicted. The expression of four pairs was verified, and the results showed MSTRG.12395.2-FGFBP2 and MSTRG.18590.6-FMOD were significantly up-regulated in CN at ED11 compared to BY and might be important candidate genes for embryonic muscle development.

Abstract
Nitroarenes are known for their stability, low toxicity, easy availability, and cost-effectiveness, making them one of the most fundamental chemical feedstocks. The direct utilization of nitroarenes as nitrogen sources in amidation reactions offers significant advantages over using arylamines. Herein, we disclose a streamlined method for constructing α-ketoamides through the direct coupling of nitroarenes with α-oxocarboxylic acids. This transformation obviates the need for preparing, isolating, and purifying arylamines, leading to improved efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and time savings.

Abstract
The development of novel natural product-derived nano-pesticide systems with loading capacity and sustained releasing performance of bioactive compounds is considered an effective and promising plant protection strategy. In this work, 25 L-carvone-based thiazolinone-hydrazone compounds 4a~4y were synthesized by the multi-step modification of L-carvone and structurally confirmed. Compound 4h was found to show favorable and broad-spectrum antifungal activity through the in vitro antifungal activity evaluation of compounds 4a~4y against eight phytopathogenic fungi. Thus, it could serve as a leading compound for new antifungal agents in agriculture. Moreover, the L-carvone-based nanochitosan carrier 7 bearing the 1,3,4-thiadiazole-amide group was rationally designed for the loading and sustained releasing applications of compound 4h, synthesized, and characterized. It was proven that carrier 7 had good thermal stability below 200 °C, dispersed well in the aqueous phase to form numerous nanoparticles with a size of~20 nm, and exhibited an unconsolidated and multi-aperture micro-structure. Finally, L-carvone-based thiazolinone-hydrazone/nanochitosan complexes were fabricated and investigated for their sustained releasing behaviors. Among them, complex 7/4h-2 with a well-distributed, compact, and columnar micro-structure displayed the highest encapsulation efficiency and desirable sustained releasing property for compound 4h and thus showed great potential as an antifungal nano-pesticide for further studies.

Abstract
An amplitude analysis of the B^{0}→K^{*0}μ^{+}μ^{-} decay is presented using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.7 fb^{-1} of pp collision data collected with the LHCb experiment. For the first time, the coefficients associated to short-distance physics effects, sensitive to processes beyond the standard model, are extracted directly from the data through a q^{2}-unbinned amplitude analysis, where q^{2} is the μ^{+}μ^{-} invariant mass squared. Long-distance contributions, which originate from nonfactorizable QCD processes, are systematically investigated, and the most accurate assessment to date of their impact on the physical observables is obtained. The pattern of measured corrections to the short-distance couplings is found to be consistent with previous analyses of b- to s-quark transitions, with the largest discrepancy from the standard model predictions found to be at the level of 1.8 standard deviations. The global significance of the observed differences in the decay is 1.4 standard deviations.

Dual role of nitroarenes as electrophiles and arylamine surrogates in Buchwald-Hartwig-type coupling for C-N bond construction. Chem Sci 2024; 15:3552-3561. Abstract
One of the most widely utilized methods for the construction of C(sp2)-N bonds is the transition-metal-catalyzed cross-coupling of aryl halides/boronic acids with amines, known as Ullmann condensation, Buchwald-Hartwig amination, and Chan-Lam coupling. However, aryl halides/boronic acids often require multi-step preparation while generating a large amount of corrosive and toxic waste, making the reaction less attractive. Herein, we present an unprecedented method for the C(sp2)-N formation via Buchwald-Hartwig-type reactions using synthetically upstream nitroarenes as the sole starting materials, thus eliminating the need for arylhalides and pre-formed arylamines. A diverse range of symmetrical di- and triarylamines were obtained in a single step from nitroarenes, and more importantly, various unsymmetrical di- and triarylamines were also highly selectively synthesized in a one-pot/two-step process. Furthermore, the success of the scale-up experiments, the late-stage functionalization of a drug intermediate, and the rapid preparation of hole-transporting material TCTA showcased the utility and practicality of this protocol in synthetic chemistry. Mechanistic studies indicate that this transformation may proceed via an arylamine intermediate generated in situ from the reduction of nitroarenes, which is followed by a denitrative Buchwald-Hartwig-type reaction with another nitroarene to form a C-N bond.

Abstract
Modern nanodrug delivery technologies offer new approaches in the fight against cancer. However, due to the heterogeneity of tumors and side effects of anticancer drugs, monotherapies are less effective. Herein, we report a novel pH and light dual-responsive nanodrug delivery platform. The platform was formed by sulfonate-modified gold nanoparticles loaded with the anticancer drugs doxorubicin (DOX) and glucose oxidase (GOx) and then covered by water-soluble pillar[5]arene as a nanovalve. The nanovalve formed by the host-guest interaction between pillar[5]arene and the sulfonic acid group grafted onto the gold nanoparticle increased the drug loading capacity of the nanoplatform and enabled sustained release of the drug in a simulated weakly acidic tumor environment. The released GOx can consume intracellular glucose, namely, starvation therapy, while the generated hydrogen peroxide can further kill tumor cells, complementing DOX chemotherapy. Gold nanoparticles have good photothermal conversion ability and can enhance the drugs release rate under specific wavelengths of light irradiation. The results of in vitro and in vivo experiments showed that this novel nanodrug delivery platform has good biocompatibility and better therapeutic efficacy relative to monotherapy. This study successfully developed a combined chemo/starvation therapy strategy with good tumor suppression, providing a new approach for cancer treatment.

Abstract
The first observation of the singly Cabibbo-suppressed Ω_{c}^{0}→Ω^{-}K^{+} and Ω_{c}^{0}→Ξ^{-}π^{+} decays is reported, using proton-proton collision data at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb^{-1}, collected with the LHCb detector between 2016 and 2018. The branching fraction ratios are measured to be B(Ω_{c}^{0}→Ω^{-}K^{+})/B(Ω_{c}^{0}→Ω^{-}π^{+})=[6.08±0.51(stat)±0.40(syst)]%,B(Ω_{c}^{0}→Ξ^{-}π^{+})/B(Ω_{c}^{0}→Ω^{-}π^{+})=[15.81±0.87(stat)±0.44(syst)±0.16(ext)]%. In addition, using the Ω_{c}^{0}→Ω^{-}π^{+} decay channel, the Ω_{c}^{0} baryon mass is measured to be M(Ω_{c}^{0})=2695.28±0.07(stat)±0.27(syst)±0.30(ext) MeV, improving the precision of the previous world average by a factor of 4.

Abstract
The production rate of Λ_{b}^{0} baryons relative to B^{0} mesons in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy sqrt[s]=13 TeV is measured by the LHCb experiment. The ratio of Λ_{b}^{0} to B^{0} production cross sections shows a significant dependence on both the transverse momentum and the measured charged-particle multiplicity. At low multiplicity, the ratio measured at LHCb is consistent with the value measured in e^{+}e^{-} collisions, and increases by a factor of ∼2 with increasing multiplicity. At relatively low transverse momentum, the ratio of Λ_{b}^{0} to B^{0} cross sections is higher than what is measured in e^{+}e^{-} collisions, but converges with the e^{+}e^{-} ratio as the momentum increases. These results imply that the evolution of heavy b quarks into final-state hadrons is influenced by the density of the hadronic environment produced in the collision. Comparisons with several models and implications for the mechanisms enforcing quark confinement are discussed.

Abstract
The decay-time-dependent CP asymmetry in B_{s}^{0}→J/ψ(→μ^{+}μ^{-})K^{+}K^{-} decays is measured using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6 fb^{-1}, collected with the LHCb detector at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. Using a sample of approximately 349 000 B_{s}^{0} signal decays with an invariant K^{+}K^{-} mass in the vicinity of the ϕ(1020) resonance, the CP-violating phase ϕ_{s} is measured, along with the difference in decay widths of the light and heavy mass eigenstates of the B_{s}^{0}-B[over ¯]_{s}^{0} system, ΔΓ_{s}, and the difference of the average B_{s}^{0} and B^{0} meson decay widths, Γ_{s}-Γ_{d}. The values obtained are ϕ_{s}=-0.039±0.022±0.006 rad, ΔΓ_{s}=0.0845±0.0044±0.0024 ps^{-1}, and Γ_{s}-Γ_{d}=-0.0056_{-0.0015}^{+0.0013}±0.0014 ps^{-1}, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. These are the most precise single measurements to date and are consistent with expectations based on the Standard Model and with the previous LHCb analyses of this decay. These results are combined with previous independent LHCb measurements. The phase ϕ_{s} is also measured independently for each polarization state of the K^{+}K^{-} system and shows no evidence for polarization dependence.

Abstract
A measurement of time-dependent CP violation in the decays of B^{0} and B[over ¯]^{0} mesons to the final states J/ψ(→μ^{+}μ^{-})K_{S}^{0}, ψ(2S)(→μ^{+}μ^{-})K_{S}^{0} and J/ψ(→e^{+}e^{-})K_{S}^{0} with K_{S}^{0}→π^{+}π^{-} is presented. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 6 fb^{-1} collected at a center-of-mass energy of sqrt[s]=13 TeV with the LHCb detector. The CP-violation parameters are measured to be S_{ψK_{S}^{0}}=0.717±0.013(stat)±0.008(syst) and C_{ψK_{S}^{0}}=0.008±0.012(stat)±0.003(syst). This measurement of S_{ψK_{S}^{0}} represents the most precise single measurement of the CKM angle β to date and is more precise than the current world average. In addition, measurements of the CP-violation parameters of the individual channels are reported and a combination with the LHCb Run 1 measurements is performed.

Abstract
For exploring novel natural product-derived herbicides, 16 novel α-campholenic aldehyde-based 4-methyl-1,2,4-triazole-thioether compounds were designed, synthesized, and characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, ESI-MS and elemental analysis. The preliminary bioassay showed that, at 100 µg/mL, most of the target compounds displayed significant inhibition activity against root-growth of rape(Brassica campestris L.), with inhibition rates of 85.0%~98.2%(A-class activity level), much better than that of the positive control flumioxazin. In addition, an effective and reasonable 3D-QSAR model was established by CoMFA method in SYBYL-X 2.1.1 software. It was found that, the steric field was the major factor towards the herbicidal activity of the target compounds against B. campestris L., and the introduction of bulky groups into m- and p-position of the benzene ring was favourable to increase the herbicidal activity. This kind of title compounds deserved further study as potential leading compounds for the discovery and development of novel herbicidal agents.

Abstract
A series of highly fluorinated polyimide/allomelanin nanoparticles (FPI/AMNPs) films were prepared with FPI as the matrix and AMNPs as the filler. Due to the formation of hydrogen bonds, significantly reinforced mechanical and UV-shielding properties are acquired. Stress-strain curves demonstrated a maximum tensile strength of 150.59 MPa and a fracture elongation of 1.40% (0.7 wt.% AMNPs), respectively, 1.78 and 1.56× that of pure FPI. The measurements of the UV-vis spectrum, photodegradation of curcumin and repeated running tests confirmed the splendid UV-shielding capabilities of FPI/AMNPs films. The enhancement mechanisms, such as synergistic UV absorption of the charge transfer complexes in FPI and AMNPs and photothermal conversion, were the reasons for its exceptional UV shielding. The excellent comprehensive properties above enable FPI/AMNPs nanocomposites to be potential candidates in the field of UV shielding.

Abstract
To discover potent antifungal molecules with new and distinctive structures, 20 novel L-carvone-derived 1,3,4-oxadiazole-thioether compounds 5 a-5 t were synthesized through multi-step reaction of L-carvone, and their structures were confirmed by FT-IR, 1 H-NMR, 13 C-NMR, and HR-MS. The antifungal activities of compounds 5 a-5 t were preliminarily tested by in vitro method, and the results indicated that all of the title compounds displayed certain antifungal activities against the eight tested plant fungi, especially for P. piricola. Among them, compound 5 i (R=p-F) with the most significant antifungal activity deserved further study for discovering and developing novel natural product-based antifungal agents. Moreover, two molecular simulation technologies were employed for the investigation of their structure-activity relationships (SARs). Firstly, a reasonable and effective 3D-QSAR model was established by the comparative molecular field (CoMFA) method, and the relationship of the substituents linked with the benzene rings and the inhibitory activities of the title compounds against P. piricola was elucidated. Then, the binding mode of compound 5 i (R=p-F) and its potential biological target (CYP51) was simulated by molecular docking, and it was found that compound 5 i could readily bind with CYP51 in the active site, and the ligand-receptor interactions involved three hydrogen bonds and several hydrophobic effects.

Abstract
The accumulation of residual active herbicides in the environment can cause a series of problems. It is thus meaningful to explore a photoresponsive herbicide, whose activity can be weakened under the action of light to reduce the negative effect. To this purpose, a series of (E)/(Z)-verbenone oxime ethers were designed, synthesized, and characterized. Oxime ether groups were adopted as the trigger switches. The preliminary screening for herbicidal activity showed that some of them exhibited better or comparable effects than that of the commercial herbicide flumioxazin against Brassica campestris and Echinochloa crusgalli. Meanwhile, five pairs of the target compounds with significantly different herbicidal effects between E- and Z-forms were further investigated for their reversible isomerization reaction and the accompanying variation of herbicidal activity. As a result, the maximum conversion rates were around 50%, and the herbicidal effect of the resulting mixture of E- and Z-isomers decreased outstandingly. The phototransformation mechanism of a pair of isomers (E)-4a and (Z)-4a was preliminarily explored. Besides, a reasonable and effective 3D-quantitative structure-activity relationship model (r2 = 0.984 and q2 = 0.571) was established and the binding mode was also investigated by molecular docking.

Abstract
For exploring new natural product-based leading compounds with antifungal activity, 15 novel 3-carene-derived 4-substituted phenyl-1,2,4-triazolinthiones 7a ~ 7o bearing gem-dimethylcyclopropane moiety were synthesized and structurally characterized by UV-Vis, FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, ESI-MS and elemental analysis. The preliminary bioassay at 50 μg/mL showed that all of the target compounds exhibited certain in vitro inhibitory activities against the eight tested fungi, in which compound 7g (R = m, p-Cl) displayed better inhibition activity (85.0%) against P. piricola than that of the positive control Chlorothalonil. Furthermore, a reasonable and effective 3D structure of phytofungal CYP51 was constructed by homology modeling. Molecular docking study revealed that the total scores of all the target compounds were higher than that of Prothioconazole. In addition, it was found that compound 7g could readily embed into the binding site, and therein shared similar interactions with the case of Prothioconazole. Thus, compound 7g deserved further study as an antifungal leading compound.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Nanopesticides have been proved to be a powerful and promising tool to solve the issues in agriculture. The purpose of the present study was to develop ecofriendly nanopesticide systems by the strategy of comprehensive utilization of two natural biomass resources (bagasse and turpentine oil) because of their incomparable advantages. RESULTS In this research, a series of nanocellulose carriers ETOCN-1-ETOCN-4 (ETOCN, esterified TEMPO-oxidized cellulose nanofibers) with different degrees of substitution were prepared and characterized by Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Then, 21 1,3,4-thiadiazole-amide compounds 8a-8u containing gem-dimethylcyclopropane ring were designed, synthesized and characterized. A preliminary bioassay indicated that compound 8i (R = p-Br Ph) exhibited broad-spectrum antifungal activity against the tested fungi. Furthermore, drug-loading complexes 8i/ETOCN-1-8i/ETOCN-4 were fabricated by integration of nanocellulose-based carriers ETOCN-1-ETOCN-4 with bioactive compound 8i, and the drug-loading capacities, microstructures and sustained-releasing performance of these complexes were also investigated. According to the observation of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images of complex 8i/ETOCN-2, the small-molecule drug and the carrier formed a well-distributed and compact complex, which led to the excellent drug-loading capacity and sustained-releasing performance in the ethanol/water (1:1, v/v) system. CONCLUSIONS Complexes 8i/ETOCN-1-8i/ETOCN-4 deserved further study as the promising candidates for the development of nanopesticides. © 2022 Society of Chemical Industry.

Abstract
Succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) is an important target enzyme for designing agricultural chemical fungicides. In order to explore novel natural product-based antifungal agents, twenty-one unreported anisaldehyde-derived amide-thiourea compounds were designed and synthesized using the principle of active splicing, and structurally confirmed by 1 H-NMR, 13 C-NMR, ESI-MS, FT-IR, and element analysis. In vitro antifungal activity of the target compounds was evaluated by the agar dilution method. The results showed that some target compounds exhibited better or comparable antifungal activity than that of the commercial fungicide chlorothalonil, in which compounds 5c, 5o, and 5r displayed excellent antifungal activity of 92.6 %, 92.6 % and 99.1 % against P. piricola, respectively, better than that of the positive control. In addition, 3D-QSAR analysis was carried out by the CoMFA method to reveal the relationship between the structures of the target compounds and their inhibitory activities. The simulative binding mode of the target compounds and SDH was also studied by molecular docking.

Abstract
Background Risankizumab (RZB), an anti-IL-23 p19 inhibitor, was well-tolerated and superior to placebo (PBO) in inducing clinical remission and endoscopic response in patients (pts) with moderate-to-severe Crohn’s disease (CD) in two phase 3 studies at 12 weeks. Aims FORTIFY (NCT03105102), was a 52-week (wk) phase 3 double-blind, re-randomized responder withdrawal study that evaluated the efficacy and safety of continuing RZB as subcutaneous (SC) maintenance therapy versus withdrawal to placebo in pts achieving induction response to RZB Methods Week 12 IV RZB responders were re-randomized 1:1:1 to: RZB SC 360mg (N=141), RZB 180mg (N=157), or PBO (withdrawal from IV RZB; N=164) every 8wks for 52wks. Co-primary endpoints were clinical remission (per CD Activity Index [CDAI] (US); or stool frequency/abdominal pain score [SF/APS] (OUS) and endoscopic response at wk52. Other clinical and endoscopic endpoints, inflammatory biomarkers, RZB serum levels, and safety were assessed over time. Results Rates of clinical remission (CDAI, SF/APS) and clinical response were similar for RZB and PBO groups through wk24, with rates lower for PBO thereafter. At wk52, clinical remission (CDAI, SF/APS) and endoscopic response rates were significantly higher with RZB 360mg than PBO ( P<0.01); RZB 180mg was superior to PBO for clinical remission per CDAI and endoscopic response ( P<0.01). Endoscopic remission and deep remission rates increased over time with 360mg, remained steady with 180mg, and decreased with PBO. Mean fecal calprotectin (FCP) and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels decreased with SC RZB, but increased with PBO, over 52wks. Exposure-adjusted event rates (per 100 pts-years) of serious adverse event (AE) were generally similar among groups (360mg, 21.0 E/100PY and 180mg, 19.5 E/100PY vs PBO, 19.3 E/100PY), as were AEs leading to drug discontinuation (4.8 E/100PY and 2.4 E/100PY vs 3.7 E/100PY), and serious infections (6.0 E/100PY and 3.0 E/100PY vs 5.0 E/100PY). Conclusions In pts with moderate-to-severe CD, a robust pharmacodynamic effect on the IL-23 pathway after 12wks RZB IV induction was maintained with RZB SC maintenance therapy. The durability of RZB was demonstrated with high rates of efficacy over the 52-wk study. RZB was superior to PBO for achieving clinical remission and endoscopic response at wk52. Results for the more stringent endpoints (endoscopic remission\deep remission) and persistent improvements in inflammatory biomarkers are consistent with a dose response relationship. Continued RZB SC maintenance treatment was generally safe and well-tolerated. Funding Agencies AbbVie

Abstract
A series of novel menthone derivatives bearing pyrimidine and urea moieties was designed and synthesized to explore more potent natural product-derived antitumor agents. The structures of the target compounds were confirmed by FTIR, NMR, and HRMS. The in vitro antitumor activity was tested by standard methyl thiazolytetrazolium assay and showed that 4i, 4g, 4s, and 4m are the best compounds with IC50 values of 6.04 ± 0.62µM, 3.21 ± 0.67µM, 19.09 ± 0.49µM, and 18.68 ± 1.53µM, against Hela, MGC-803, MCF-7, and A549, respectively. The results of the preliminary action mechanism studies showed that compound 4i, the representative compound, could induce cell apoptosis in Hela cells in a dose-dependent manner and might arrest the cell cycle in the G2/M phase. Furthermore, the results of network pharmacology prediction and Western blot experiments indicated that compound 4i might inhibit Hela cells through inhibit PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway. The binding modes and the binding sites interactions between compound 4i and the target proteins were predicted preliminarily by the molecular docking method.

Abstract
In search of novel bioactive compounds with excellent and broad-spectrum antifungal activity and nanopesticides with sustained releasing property, a series of novel myrtenal-based diacylhydrazines were designed, synthesized, and characterized. The preliminary bioassay showed that myrtenal-based 2-picolinyl hydrazide exhibited better or comparable antifungal activity than that of the commercial fungicides boscalid and chlorothalonil against the tested fungi. Furthermore, myrtenal-based nanocellulose was designed as a nanopesticide carrier and prepared from two biomass materials, bleached bagasse pulp and turpentine oil. Drug-loading capacities (LCs) of these carriers and sustained releasing properties of corresponding complexes were also evaluated, and the results indicated that the esterification reaction in the different solvents would affect the micromorphology of carriers, which was the important influential factor for loading or releasing drugs. To our delight, complex VIII-3 (LC = 0.32, total releasing amount/time = 99.8%/168 h) showed a macroporous framework with the drug evenly distributed across the opening network and staged drug-releasing performance that deserved further study as a nanopesticide.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the prevalence of children's developmental coordination disorder (DCD) and its distribution based on different family socioeconomic characteristics in China, in order to provide a theoretical basis for early prevention, diagnosis, and intervention for DCD. Methods: From June to October, 2016, 1 887 children aged 3-10 years from 20 kindergartens and 10 elementary schools from 8 cities in seven geographic areas of China using a stratified cluster sampling method were recruited. With a cross-sectional design, parents were asked to report on their basic information. Children' s motor ability was assessed using the movement assessment battery for children-second edition (MABC-2). Children were grouped by age, sex, body mass index (BMI), one-child status, and family structure. Chi-square test and one-way ANOVA were used to compare family socioeconomic characteristics of children between different groups. Results: Among the 1 887 children, there were 1 110 (58.8%) preschool children (3-6 years of age) and 777 (41.2%) school-aged children (7-10 years of age). There were 982 males (52.0%) and 905 females (48.0%). A total of 5.5% (104 cases) children were diagnosed with DCD, 10.4% (197 cases) with suspected DCD, and 84.1% (1 586 cases) as typical motor developing children. There were no significant differences in prevalence of diagnosed and suspected DCD among different regions (χ²=17.342 and 4.877, P=0.173 and 0.560), total motor coordination score (F=2.759, P<0.05), and the scores of all dimensions (manual dexterity, positioning and grabbing, balance: F=9.276, 5.277, 3.706, all P<0.01). The prevalence of DCD in preschool children was significantly higher than that in school-age children (χ²=11.891, P<0.01). Girls were significantly better than boys in total motor coordination, manual dexterity, and balance (all P<0.01). Boys were significantly better than girls in positioning and grabbing (P<0.01). The prevalence of DCD in boys was significantly higher than that in girls (70 boys (7.1%) and 34 girls (3.8%), χ²=28.508, P<0.01). The total motor coordination ability, manual dexterity and balance of children who are overweighted (BMI>18 kg/m2) were significantly lower than those of children of normal weight (BMI≤18 kg/m2) (all P<0.01). The prevalence of suspected DCD children who are overweighted was significantly higher than that of children of normal weight (χ²=4.369, P<0.05). The difference of total motor coordination ability (F=6.811, P<0.01) and the prevalence of DCD (χ²=14.902, P<0.01) among different family structures were statistically significant. The total motor coordination ability and balance ability of children from multi-child family were better than those of children from one-child family (both P<0.05). Conclusion: The motor coordination ability of Chinese children is well-developed, with differences among different regions, gender, age, BMI, and family structure.

Abstract
Cytochrome bc 1 complex is an important component of cellular respiratory chain, and it is also an important target enzyme to inhibit the growth of plant pathogens. Using cytochrome bc 1 complex as the target enzyme, twenty-three novel nopol-based 1,2,4-triazole-thioether compounds were designed and synthesized from natural preponderant resource β-pinene, and their structures were confirmed by FT-IR, NMR, ESI-MS and elemental analysis. The in vitro antifungal activity of the target compounds 5a-5w was preliminarily evaluated against eight plant pathogens at the concentration of 50 µg/ml. The bioassay results showed that the target compounds exhibited the best antifungal activity against Physalospora piricola, in which compounds 5b (R= o-CH3 Ph), 5e (R= o-OCH3 Ph), 5h (R= o-F Ph), 5m (R= o-Br Ph), 5o (R= m,m-OCH3 Ph), and 5r (R= p-OH Ph) had inhibition rates of 91.4, 83.3, 86.7, 83.8, 91.4 and 87.3%, respectively, much better than that of the positive control chlorothalonil. Also, compound 5a (R= Ph) had inhibition rate of 87.9% against Rhizoeotnia solani, and compound 5b (R= o-CH3 Ph) had inhibition rates of 87.6 and 89% against Bipolaris maydis and Colleterichum orbicala, respectively. In order to develop novel and promising antifungal compounds against P. piricola, the analysis of three-dimensional quantitative structure-activity relationship (3D-QSAR) was carried out using the CoMFA method on the basis of their antifungal activity data, and a reasonable and effective 3D-QSAR model (r 2 = 0.944, q 2 = 0.685) has been established. In addition, the theoretical study of molecular docking revealed that the target compounds could bind to and interact with the site of cytochrome bc 1 complex.

We collected the information of close contacts, including name, gender, age, isolation mode, exposure mode and outcome (whether they were infected with SARS-CoV-2 or not) and other variables. Multivariate logistic regression models were used to identify the relationship between Ct values of N gene of COVID-19 cases and secondary attack risk in close contacts. Results: A total of 1 618 close contacts were recruited, in whom 77 were confirmed as symptomatic or asymptomatic COVID-19 patients with overall secondary attack rate of 4.8%. The multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that eating together (OR=2.741, P=0.054), living together (OR=9.721, P<0.001), non-centralized isolation (OR=18.437, P<0.001) and COVID-19 case's values of N gene within 0-7 days of onset being <20 (OR=8.998, P=0.004) or 20-25 (OR=3.547, P=0.032) were significantly associated with higher likelihood of being infected with SARS-CoV-2 in close contacts. Conclusion: The results indicated that positive relationship exists between respiratory viral load and infectivity in COVID-19 cases, suggesting that Ct values of N gene can be used as an early warning indicator for the management of close contacts of COVID-19 cases.

Abstract
In search of novel natural product-based bioactive molecules, twenty (ten pairs) novel (Z)-/(E)-anisaldehyde-based oxime ester compounds were designed and synthesized by using anisaldehyde as starting material. Structural characterization of the target compounds was carried out by NMR, FT-IR, ESI-MS, and elemental analysis. Their herbicidal and antifungal activities were preliminarily tested. As a result, at 50 μg/mL, compound (E)-5b exhibited excellent to good inhibition rates of 92.3 %, 79.2 %, and 73.9 %, against Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cucumerinum, and Bipolaris maydis, respectively, better than or comparable to that of the positive control chlorothalonil. In addition, at 100 μg/mL, compounds (E)-5b, (E)-5f, (Z)-5f and (E)-5d exhibited excellent to good inhibition rates of 85.8 %, 82.9 %, 78.6 % and 64.2 %, respectively, against the root-growth of rape (B. campestris), much better than that of the positive control flumioxazin. The bioassay result also showed that the synthesized compounds had obvious differences in antifungal and herbicidal activities between (Z)- and (E)-isomers. Preliminary structure-activity relationship was also discussed by theoretical calculation.

Abstract
Drug delivery systems have good biocompatibiliy and low side effects for cancer treatment, but overcoming high efficiency of drug-loading and the drug-targeting controlled release still remains challenging. In this work, supramolecular vesicles, with pH-triggering effect, have been successfully constructed for drug delivery, which are fabricated by the complexation between a cationic pillar[5]arene (DAWP5) and a sodium dodecyl sulfonate (SDS) in aqueous solution. Drug-loading and releasing results demonstrated that anticancer drug doxorubicin (DOX) could be loaded efficiently by such cationic vesicles in neutral condition, and the drug release could be controlled in the simulated weak acid environment of tumor cells. Moreover, the vesicles had low cytotoxicity to normal human cell (L02), while the DOX-loaded vesicles could significantly enhance the cytotoxicity of free DOX for normal cell L02 and four tested tumor cells (Hela, HepG2, MGC-803 and T24). Especially for HepG2, after 24 h incubation time, IC50 of DOX-loaded vesicles was only 0.79 μM, about 23% of that of DOX (3.43 μM). These results suggested that such novel vesicles have promising potential to construct nano-drug delivery systems for various biomedical applications.

Abstract
Succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) present in the inner mitochondrial membrane is an important target enzyme for the design of SDH inhibitor-type fungicides. Using SDH as the target enzyme, 22 novel longifolene-derived diacylhydrazine compounds were designed and synthesized using the renewable natural product longifolene as the starting material. Their structures were confirmed by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, electrospray mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis. In vitro antifungal activity of the target compounds was preliminarily evaluated. As a result, some of them showed better or comparable antifungal activity than that of the commercial fungicide chlorothalonil, in which compound 5a had inhibitory rates of 97.5, 80.5, 72.1, and 67.1% against Physalospora piricola, Colletotrichum orbiculare, Alternaria solani, and Gibberella zeae, respectively, presenting excellent and broad-spectrum activity that deserved further study. Besides, a reasonable and effective three-dimensional structure-activity quantitative relationship model has been established. There was a significant positive correlation between the antifungal activity and the docking-based binding energy analyzed using Spearman's rank correlation algorithm. Also, the simulative binding pattern of the target compounds with SDH was investigated by molecular docking study. Furthermore, the diacylhydrazine and phenol groups of the target compounds were proposed to be the potential pharmacophores by frontier molecular orbital analysis.

LncRNA TUG1 aggravates the progression of cervical cancer by binding PUM2. EUROPEAN REVIEW FOR MEDICAL AND PHARMACOLOGICAL SCIENCES 2020; 23:8211-8218. [PMID: 31646551 DOI: 10.26355/eurrev_201910_19128] [Citation(s) in RCA: 12] [Impact Index Per Article: 3.0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Indexed: 11/12/2022]
Abstract
OBJECTIVE To illustrate the role of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) TUG1 in the influence of the progression of cervical cancer (CC) and its underlying mechanism. PATIENTS AND METHODS TUG1 level in CC tissues and adjacent normal ones was determined by quantitative Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR). Its level in CC patients with different tumor, node, and metastasis (TNM) staging and the tumor sizes were detected as well. The prognostic potential of TUG1 in CC was assessed by introducing the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. The influences of TUG1 on proliferative and migratory abilities of HeLa and SiHa cells were evaluated. The subcellular distribution of TUG1 in CC cells was analyzed. Subsequently, the relative level of PUM2 (Pumilio2) in CC tissues and cell lines was examined. The prognostic potential of PUM2 in CC was assessed. RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) and RNA pull-down were conducted to uncover the interaction between TUG1 and PUM2. Finally, the regulatory effect of TUG1/PUM2 axis on the viability of the CC cells was investigated. RESULTS TUG1 was upregulated in CC, especially in those with worse TNM staging and larger tumor size. The overexpression of TUG1 enhanced proliferative and migratory abilities of Hela and SiHa cells. TUG1 was mainly distributed in the cytoplasm. PUM2 interacted with TUG1 and its level was positively regulated by TUG1. The silence of PUM2 reversed the promotive effect of TUG1 on the viability of the CC cells. CONCLUSIONS TUG1 is upregulated in CC, which aggravates the progression of CC by interacting with PUM2.

Abstract
Objective: To calculate both the epidemic and intensity thresholds for different levels in Beijing and to establish a tiered alert system in the 2018-2019 influenza season as well as to evaluate the performance of calculated thresholds. Method: Weekly count of influenza-like illness and percentage of influenza-like illness (ILI%) of the last five influenza seasons were modeled by 'moving epidemic method' (MEM) to calculate the influenza epidemic and intensity thresholds at different levels. A cross-validation procedure was used to evaluate the performance. Indicators of Matthew correlation coefficient, Youden's index, sensitivity and specificity were calculated. Results: For weekly count of influenza-like illness, data showed that the epidemic threshold for 2018-2019 influenza season was 12 984 and the medium, high and very high intensity thresholds were 22 503, 37 589, 47 157, respectively. Matthew correlation coefficient of the epidemic threshold was 62% and youden's index as 60% , sensitivity as 69%, specificity as 91%. Data on weekly ILI%, the epidemic threshold for 2018-2019 influenza season was 1.66%, with medium, high and very high intensity thresholds as 2.46%, 3.84% and 4.66%, respectively. The overall Matthew correlation coefficient of the epidemic threshold was 59%, with 54% for the Youden's index, sensitivity as 60% and specificity as 94%. Conclusions: MEM produced a good specific signal for detecting the influenza epidemics and the accuracy of the method was acceptable. The early warning performance regarding the application of weekly count on influenza-like illness was slightly better than ILI%. This method could be applied in the practical influenza epidemic alert "work in Beijing" .

Abstract
PURPOSE Both glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucagon (GCG) belong to the incretin family. This study aimed to investigate the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of DR10601, a fully recombinant hybrid peptide with dual GLP-1/GCG receptor agonistic activity. METHODS The agonistic ability of DR10601 was indirectly assessed by inducing cAMP accumulation in Chinese hamster ovary cells transfected with GLP-1R or GCGR in vitro. Following s.c. administration, the plasma pharmacokinetics of DR10601 were analysed in male Sprague-Dawley rats. The antiobesity effects and improved glycaemic control of DR10601 in vivo were evaluated by administering DR10601 to high-fat DIO mice and ICR mice as a single dose or repeated s.c. doses once every 4 days for 24 days. RESULTS DR10601 exhibits dual agonistic activity on GLP-1 and glucagon receptors. The plasma half-life of DR10601 in Sprague-Dawley rats following s.c. administration was 51.9 ± 12.2 h. In an IPGTT, a single s.c. dose of DR10601 (30 nmol/kg) produced similar glycaemic control effects and a longer duration of action compared to dulaglutide (10 nmol/kg). Compared with that achieved with liraglutide (40 nmol/kg) s.c. administered daily, DR10601 administered s.c. once every 4 days at 90 nmol/kg exerted a nearly equivalent effect on food intake and significantly reduced the body weights of high-fat DIO mice at 24 days. CONCLUSIONS Repeated administration of DR1060 provides potent and sustained glycemic control and body weight loss effect in high-fat DIO mice. DR10601 is a promising long-acting agent deserving further investigation for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity.

Abstract
Skin wounds are particularly vulnerable and susceptible to bacterial infection. Unfortunately, the abuse of antibiotics has resulted in the emergence of a number of multidrug-resistant bacteria in the past few decades. Moreover, secondary damage of the fragile new tissue around the wound caused by high-energy ultraviolet (UV) radiation has been rarely noticed. To address these problems, herein, we present an alternative strategy to overcome drug-resistant bacteria and UV damage by taking advantage of dehydroabietic acid derivatives (DHADs) and layered double hydroxides (LDHs). DHAD, synthesized from dehydroabietic acid (DHA) through a series of reactions, was assembled with ZnAlTi-LDH to obtain a DHAD/ZnAlTi-LDH composite. The results showed that DHAD/ZnAlTi-LDH has a prominent reactive oxygen species (ROS) production capacity, and both Gram-negative and positive bacteria can be killed under visible light irradiation. At the same time, it can effectively shield the skin from UV rays. In vitro and vivo experiments confirmed that the composite has great promise for bactericidal applications, UV blocking and wound healing. A dual-functional photocatalytic antibacterial and UV resistant nanocomposite was fabricated by loading DHAD onto ZnAlTi-LDH nanosheets, and possessed excellent UV blocking, antibacterial and wound healing performance.![]()
