Abstract
Objective: To compare the application effect of the colonoscopy, fecal immunochemical test (FIT) and novel risk-adapted screening approach in colorectal cancer screening in Xuzhou population. Methods: From May 2018 to April 2019, 4 280 subjects aged 50-74 were recruited from Gulou district, Yunlong district and Quanshan district of Xuzhou. They were randomly assigned to the colonoscopy group (n=863), FIT group (n=1 723) and novel risk-adapted screening approach group (n=1 694) according to the ratio of 1∶2∶2. For the novel risk-adapted screening approach group, after the risk assessment, high-risk subjects were invited to undergo colonoscopy and low-risk subjects were invited to undergo FIT examination. All FIT positive subjects were invited to undergo colonoscopy. Colonoscopy participation rate [(the number of colonoscopies completed/the number of colonoscopies invited to participate)×100%], detection rate of colorectal lesions [(the number of diagnosed patients/the number of colonoscopies completed)×100%], colonoscopy resource load (the number of colonoscopies completed/the number of diagnosed advanced tumors) and FIT resource load in each group were calculated and compared. Results: The age of all subjects was (61±6) years old, including 1 816 males (42.43%). There was no statistically significant difference in the socio-demographic characteristics of the subjects in different screening groups. The colonoscopy participation rate was 22.60% (195/863) in the colonoscopy group, 57.04% (77/135) in the FIT group, and 33.94% (149/439) in the novel risk-adapted screening approach group, respectively. The colonoscopy participation rate was higher in the FIT group than in the colonoscopy group and the novel risk-adapted screening approach group (P<0.001). The colonoscopy participation rate of novel risk-adapted screening group was significantly higher than the colonoscopy group (P<0.001). The detection rates of advanced tumors were 6.67% (13/195), 9.09% (7/77) and 8.72% (13/149), respectively, and the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The colonoscopy resource load (95%CI) was 15 (13-17) in the colonoscopy group, 11 (9-14) in the FIT group and 11 (10-13) in the novel risk-adapted screening approach group, respectively. Among them, the colonoscopy resource load of high-risk individuals in the novel risk-adapted screening approach group was 12 (9-15). FIT resource loads (95%CI) were 207 (196-218) and 88 (83-94) in the FIT group and the novel risk-adapted screening approach group. Conclusion: The combined application of risk-adapted screening approach and FIT may have a good application effect in colorectal cancer screening.

Abstract
Tomato cultivation is seriously affected by infection from Botrytis cinerea. The safe and effective control of tomato gray mold remains elusive. Plant-related microbial communities regulate not only plant metabolism but also plant immune systems. In this study, we observed that Selenium application in soil combined with foliar spraying of methyl jasmonate could reduce Botrytis cinerea infection in tomato fruits and leaves and improve tomato fruit quality. The infection rate of leaves decreased from 42.19% to 25.00%, and the vitamin C content increased by 22.14%. The bacterial community structure of the tomato was studied by using amplicon sequencing technology. The leaf bacterial alpha diversity of tomatoes treated with Se plus methyl jasmonate was significantly higher than that of the control. Then we isolated five strains antagonistic to Botrytis cinerea in vitro from tomato leaves in the treatment of Se plus methyl jasmonate. The antagonistic strains were identified as Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus velezensis. Spraying mixed antagonistic strain suspension significantly inhibited the diameter of Botrytis cinerea with an inhibition rate of 40.99%. This study revealed the key role of plant-beneficial bacteria recruited by Se combined with methyl jasmonate in improving tomato plant disease resistance. These findings may benefit our understanding of the new regulation of microorganisms on Botrytis cinerea.

Abstract
As compared with the traditional visual discrimination methods, deep learning and image processing methods have the ability to detect plants efficiently and non-invasively. This is of great significance in the diagnosis and breeding of plant disease resistance phenotypes. Currently, the studies on plant diseases and pest stresses mainly focus on a leaf scale. There are only a few works regarding the stress detection at a complex canopy scale. In this work, three tea plant stresses with similar symptoms that cause a severe threat to the yield and quality of tea gardens, including the tea green leafhopper [Empoasca (Matsumurasca) onukii Matsuda], anthracnose (Gloeosporium theae-sinensis Miyake), and sunburn (disease-like stress), are evaluated. In this work, a stress detection and segmentation method by fusing deep learning and image processing techniques at a canopy scale is proposed. First, a specified Faster RCNN algorithm is proposed for stress detection of tea plants at a canopy scale. After obtaining the stress detection boxes, a new feature, i.e., RGReLU, is proposed for the segmentation of tea plant stress scabs. Finally, the detection model at the canopy scale is transferred to a field scale by using unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) images. The results show that the proposed method effectively achieves canopy-scale stress adaptive segmentation and outputs the scab type and corresponding damage ratio. The mean average precision (mAP) of the object detection reaches 76.07%, and the overall accuracy of the scab segmentation reaches 88.85%. In addition, the results also show that the proposed method has a strong generalization ability, and the model can be migrated and deployed to UAV scenarios. By fusing deep learning and image processing technology, the fine and quantitative results of canopy-scale stress monitoring can provide support for a wide range of scouting of tea garden.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Johnsongrass (Sorghum halepense) is one of the weeds that evolves resistance to glyphosate [N-(phosphonomethyl)-glycine], the most widely used herbicide, and the weed may cause agronomic troublesome in the southern USA. This paper reports a study on developing a hyperspectral plant sensing approach to explore the spectral features of glyphosate-resistant (GR) and glyphosate-sensitive (GS) plants to evaluate this approach using machine learning algorithms to differentiate between GR and GS plants. RESULTS On average, GR plants have higher spectral reflectance compared with GS plants. The sensitive spectral bands were optimally selected using the successive projections algorithm respectively wrapped with the machine learning algorithms of k-nearest neighbors (KNN), random forest (RF), and support vector machine (SVM) with Fisher linear discriminant analysis (FLDA) to classify between GS and GS plants. At 3 weeks after transplanting (WAT) KNN and SVM could not acceptably classify the GR and GS plants but they improved significantly with the stages to have their overall accuracies reaching 73% and 77%, respectively, at 5 WAT. RF and FLDA had a better ability to classify the plants at 3 WAT but RF was low in accuracy at 2 WAT while FLDA dropped accuracy to 50% at 4 WAT from 57% at 3 WAT and raised it to 73% at 5 WAT. CONCLUSIONS Previous studies were conducted developing the hyperspectral imaging approach to differentiate GR Palmer amaranth from GS Palmer amaranth and GR Italian ryegrass from GS Italian ryegrass with classification accuracies of 90% and 80%, respectively. This study demonstrated that the hyperspectral plant sensing approach could be developed to differentiate GR johnsongrass from glyphosate-sensitive GS johnsongrass with the highest classification accuracy of 77%. The comparison with our previous studies indicated that the similar hyperspectral approach could be used and transferred from classification across different GR and GS weed biotypes, such as Palmer amaranth, Italian ryegrass and johnsongrass, so it is highly possible for classification of more other GR and GS weed biotypes as well. On the basis of classic pattern recognition approaches the process of plant classification can be enhanced by modeling using machine learning algorithms. © 2022 Society of Chemical Industry. Abstract
ABSTRACT A 61-year-old man was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma and underwent a resection; he presented with progressive dyspnea after treatment with interferon for 2 months. 18F-FDG PET/CT scan revealed diffuse ground-glass opacities (GGOs) in both lungs with mildly elevated 18F-FDG uptake, similar to that observed with interstitial inflammation. However, a lung biopsy confirmed that the diffuse GGOs were pulmonary metastases of melanoma and were positive for the BRAF mutation. The diffuse GGOs and the progressive dyspnea disappeared after BRAF-targeted therapy. This represents an unusual case of lung metastases from melanoma, mistakenly interpreted as lung inflammation induced by immunotherapy.

Abstract
Hierarchy is a fundamental organizational principle of the human brain network. Whether and how the network hierarchy changes in Alzheimer's disease (AD) remains unclear. To explore brain network hierarchy alterations in AD and their clinical relevance. Forty‐nine healthy controls (HCs), 49 patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and 49 patients with AD were included. The brain network hierarchy of each group was depicted by connectome gradient analyses. We assessed the network hierarchy changes by comparing the gradient values in each network across the AD, MCI, and HC groups. Whole‐brain voxel‐level gradient values were compared across the AD, MCI, and HC groups to identify abnormal brain regions. Finally, we examined the relationships between altered gradient values and clinical features. In the secondary gradient, the posterior default mode network (DMN) gradient values decreased significantly in patients with AD compared with HCs. Regionally, compared with HCs, both MCI and AD groups showed that most of the brain regions with increased gradient values were located in anterior DMN, while most of the brain regions with decreased gradient values were located in posterior DMN. The decrease of gradients in the left middle occipital gyrus was associated with better logical memory performance. The increase of gradients in the right middle frontal gyrus was associated with lower rates of dementia. The network hierarchy changed characteristically in patients with AD and was closely related to memory function and disease severity. These results provide a novel view for further understanding the underlying neuro‐mechanisms of AD.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The disease burden of bladder cancer is increasing worldwide; therefore, to deal with this situation, many studies on bladder cancer have been carried out extensively. Among these studies, the risk factors studies may provide a possible way to reduce the incidence of bladder cancer. Meta-analyses and original researches have confirmed that smoking is a risk factor of bladder cancer. However, the specific dose-response relationship between smoking and bladder cancer risk was still unclear. This meta-analysis addresses this research gap by summarizing the accumulated evidences, quantitatively. METHODS Relevant studies were obtained by searching PubMed, Embase and Web of Science database since inception until August 10, 2021, without restrictions. To obtain more comprehensive data, reference lists of identified articles were also browsed. Studies that reported risk estimates (relative risks (RR) or odds ratio (OR)) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) focusing on the association between cigarette smoking and risk of bladder cancer were included in a dose-response meta-analysis. RESULTS A non-linear dose-response relationship was confirmed between cigarette smoking and risk of bladder cancer on the basis of 8 cohorts and 44 case-control studies. The summary relative risk of developing bladder cancer for 1 more cigarettes/day (7 cohorts and 24 case-control studies) was 1.039 (95% CI 1.038-1.040, I2 = 0%), for 1 more pack-year (3 cohorts and 21 case-control studies) was 1.017(95% CI 1.016-1.019, I2 = 0%) and for 1 more year of exposure (16 case-control studies) was 1.021 (95% CI 1.020-1.023, I2 = 0%). CONCLUSION A positive non-linear dose-response relationship is confirmed between all smoking intensity, pack-years of smoking, smoking duration(years) and the risk of bladder cancer, but the plateau only occurred when smoking intensity reached 20 cigarettes/day. Further studies should report more detailed results, including those for subtypes of gender, age, region and be stratified by other risk factors to rule out residual confounding.

Abstract
Genetic incorporation of novel noncanonical amino acids (ncAAs) that are specialized for the photo-click reaction allows the precisely orthogonal and site-specific functionalization of proteins in living cells under photo-control. However, the development of a r̲ing-strain i̲n situ l̲oadable d̲ipolarophile (RILD) as a genetically encodable reporter for photo-click bioconjugation with spatiotemporal controllability is quite rare. Herein, we report the design and synthesis of a photo-switchable d̲ib̲enzo[b,f][1,4,5]t̲hiad̲iazepine-based a̲lanine (DBTDA) ncAA, together with the directed evolution of a pyrrolysyl-tRNA synthetase/tRNACUA pair (PylRS/tRNACUA), to encode the DBTDA into recombinant proteins as a RILD in living E. coli cells. The fast-responsive photo-isomerization of the DBTDA residue can be utilized as a converter of photon energy into ring-strain energy to oscillate the conformational changes of the parent proteins. Due to the photo-activation of RILD, the photo-switching of the DBTDA residue on sfGFP and OmpC is capable of promoting the photo-click ligation with diarylsydnone (DASyd) derived probes with high efficiency and selectivity. We demonstrate that the genetic code expansion (GCE) with DBTDA benefits the studies on the distribution of decorated OmpC-DBTD on specific E. coli cells under a spatiotemporal resolved photo-stimulation. The GCE for encoding DBTDA enables further functional diversity of artificial proteins in living systems.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the urinary small molecular metabolites and their metabolic characteristics of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods: High throughput ultra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-TOF-MS) was used to detect the small molecular metabolites in urine of healthy control (n=10), patients with hepatic hemangioma (n=10) and patients with HCC (n=10). The orthogonal projections to latent structures-discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA), hierarchical cluster analysis of multivariate analysis and univariate analysis were used to analyze the differential metabolites of the three groups. Results: The metabolic profiles of the three groups showed that the total of 381 differential metabolites were identified and divided into 96 up-regulated metabolites and 285 down-regulated metabolites. There were 55 urinary metabolites specifically related to HCC. Twenty-one of them were significantly up-regulated, including Acetyl-DL-Leucine, Ala Asp, HoPhe-Gly-OH, while 34 were significantly down-regulated, including Selenocystathionine, Met Trp Met Cys, Valsartan acid and so on. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis showed that the differential metabolites were mainly enriched in glutamine/glutamate metabolism, lysine biosynthesis, tricarboxylic acid cycle and purine metabolism. Conclusions: The occurrence of HCC is accompanied by the abnormalities of multiple metabolites and metabolic pathways. The analysis of the characteristic metabolic profile of urine in patients with HCC is helpful to find metabolic markers and potential therapeutic targets for liver cancer.

Abstract
Epileptogenesis is the gradual dynamic process that progressively led to epilepsy, going through the latent stage to the chronic stage. During epileptogenesis, how the abnormal discharges make theta rhythm loss in the deep brain remains not clear. In this paper, a loss of theta rhythm was estimated based on time–frequency power using the longitudinal electroencephalography (EEG), recorded by deep brain electrodes (e.g., the intracortical microelectrodes such as stereo-EEG electrodes) with monitored epileptic spikes in a rat from the first region in the hippocampal circuit. Deep-brain EEG was collected from the period between adjacent sporadic interictal spikes (lasting 3.56 s—35.38 s) to the recovery period without spikes by videos while the rats were performing exploration. We found that loss of theta rhythm became more serious during the period between adjacent interictal spikes than during the recovery period without spike, and during epileptogenesis, more loss was observed at the acute stage than the chronic stage. We concluded that the emergence of the interictal spike was the direct cause of loss of theta rhythm, and the inhibitory effect of the interictal spike on ongoing theta rhythm was persistent as well as time dependent during epileptogenesis. With the help of the intracortical microelectrodes, this study provides a temporary proof of interictal spikes to produce ongoing theta rhythm loss, suggesting that the interictal spikes could correlate with the epileptogenesis process, display a time-dependent feature, and might be a potential biomarker to evaluate the deficits in theta-related memory in the brain.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the effects of porcine acellular dermal matrix (ADM) combined with human epidermal stem cells (ESCs) on wound healing of full-thickness skin defect in nude mice. Methods: The morphology of porcine ADM was analyzed by photograph of digital camera, the cell residues in porcine ADM were observed by hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining, the surface structure of porcine ADM was observed by scanning electron microscope, the secondary structure of porcine ADM was analyzed by infrared spectrometer, the porcine ADM particle size was analyzed by dynamic light scattering particle size analyzer, and the porcine ADM potential was analyzed by nano-particle size potentiometer. The morphology of porcine ADM was observed by inverted fluorescence microscope when it was placed in culture medium for 30 min, 1 d, and 5 d (n=2). The porcine ADM was divided into 5 min group, 10 min group, 20 min group, 30 min group, 60 min group, and 120 min group according to the random number table (the same grouping method below) in static state at normal temperature for the corresponding time to calculate the water absorption by weighing method (n=3). Swiss white mouse embryonic fibroblasts (Fbs) were divided into blank control group (culture medium only), and 50.0 g/L ADM extract group, 37.5 g/L ADM extract group, 25.0 g/L ADM extract group, 12.5 g/L ADM extract group, and 6.5 g/L ADM extract group which were added with the corresponding final concentrations of ADM extract respectively. At post culture hour (PCH) 24, 48, and 72, the cell survival rate was detected by cell counting kit 8 and the cytotoxicity was graded (n=5). The erythrocytes of a 6-week-old male Sprague-Dawley male rat were divided into normal saline group, ultra-pure water group, and 5 mg/mL ADM extract group, 10 mg/mL ADM extract group, and 15 mg/mL ADM extract group which were treated with the corresponding final concentrations of porcine ADM extract respectively. After reaction for 3 h, the absorbance value of hemoglobin was detected by microplate reader to represent the blood compatibility of porcine ADM (n=3). ESCs were isolated and cultured from the discarded prepuce of a 6-year-old healthy boy who was treated in the Department of Urology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University (the Third Military Medical University) in July 2020, and then identified by flow cytometry. The porcine ADM particles of composite ESC (hereinafter referred to as ESC/ADM) were constructed by mixed culture. After 3 days of culture, the composite effect of ESC/ADM was observed by HE staining and laser scanning confocal microscope. Thirty-six 7-8-week-old male non-thymic nude mice were divided into phosphate buffer solution (PBS) alone group, ADM alone group, ESC alone group, and ESC/ADM group, with 9 mice in each group, and the wound model of full-thickness skin defect was established. Immediately after injury, the wounds were treated with the corresponding reagents at one time. On post injury day (PID) 1, 7, 11, and 15, the wound healing was observed and the wound healing rate was counted (n=3). On PID 7, the epithelialization of wounds was observed by HE staining and the length of un-epithelialized wound was measured (with this and the following sample numbers of 4). On PID 11, the dermal area and collagen deposition of wounds were observed by Masson staining and the dermal area of wound section was calculated, the number of cells expressing CD49f, a specific marker of ESC, was calculated with immunofluorescence staining, the mRNA expression of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) in ESC after wound transplantation was detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Data were statistically analyzed with independent sample t test, one-way analysis of variance, analysis of variance for repeated measurement, and least significant difference t test. Results: The porcine ADM was white particles and composed of reticular structure, with no cells inside, disordered structure, and rough surface. The absorption peak of porcine ADM appeared at the wave numbers of 1 659, 1 549, and 1 239 cm-1, respectively. The main particle size distribution of porcine ADM in solution was 500 to 700 nm, with negative charge on the surface. The morphology of porcine ADM in static state at 30 min and on 1 and 5 d was relatively stable. The water absorption of porcine ADM remained relatively high level in static state from 30 min to 120 min. The cytotoxicity of mouse embryonic Fbs in 6.5 g/L ADM extract group, 12.5 g/L ADM extract group, and 25.0 g/L ADM extract group was grade 1 at PCH 24, and the cytotoxicity of the other groups was 0 grade at each time point. After reaction for 3 h, the absorbance value of hemoglobin of erythrocytes in ultra-pure water group was significantly higher than the values in normal saline group and 15 mg/mL ADM extract group (with t values of 8.14 and 7.96, respectively, P<0.01). After 3 days of culture, the cells of the fourth passage showed pebble-like morphology, with low expression of CD71 and high expression of CD49f, which were identified as ESCs. There was ESC attachment and growth on porcine ADM particles. On PID 1, the wound sizes of nude mice were almost the same in PBS alone group, ADM alone group, ESC alone group, and ESC/ADM group. On PID 7, 11, and 15, the wound contraction of nude mice in each group was observed, especially in ADM alone group, ESC alone group, and ESC/ADM group. On PID 7, the wound healing rates of nude mice in ESC alone group and ESC/ADM group were significantly higher than the rate in PBS alone group (with t values of 2.83 and 4.72 respectively, P<0.05 or P<0.01). On PID 11, the wound healing rate of nude mice in ESC/ADM group was significantly higher than that in PBS alone group (t=4.86, P<0.01). On PID 15, the wound healing rates of nude mice in ADM alone group, ESC alone group, and ESC/ADM group were significantly higher than the rate in PBS alone group (with t values of 2.71, 2.90, and 3.23 respectively, P<0.05). On PID 7, the length of un-epithelialized wound of nude mice in ADM alone group, ESC alone group, and ESC/ADM group was (816±85), (635±66), and (163±32) μm, respectively, which were significantly shorter than (1 199±43) μm in PBS alone group (with t values of 5.69, 10.19, and 27.54 respectively, P<0.01). On PID 11, the dermal areas of wound section of nude mice in ADM alone group, ESC alone group, and ESC/ADM group were significantly larger than the area in PBS alone group (with t values of 27.14, 5.29, and 15.90 respectively, P<0.01); the collagen production of nude mice in ADM alone group and ESC/ADM group was more obvious than that in PBS alone group, and the collagen production of nude mice in ESC alone group and PBS alone group was similar. On PID 11, in the wounds of nude mice in ESC alone group and ESC/ADM group, the cells with positive expression of CD49f were respectively 135±7 and 185±15, and the mRNA expressions of GAPDH were positive; while there were no expressions of CD49f nor mRNA of GAPDH in the wounds of nude mice in PBS alone group and ADM alone group. Conclusions: ESC/ADM particles can promote the wound healing of full-thickness skin defects in nude mice, which may be related to the improved survival rate of ESCs after transplantation and the promotion of dermal structure rearrangement and angiogenesis by ADM.

Abstract
Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) reversion refers to patients with MCI who revert from MCI to a normal cognitive state. Exploring the underlying neuromechanism of MCI reverters may contribute to providing new insights into the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease and developing therapeutic interventions. Information on patients with MCI and healthy controls (HCs) was collected from the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative database. We redefined MCI reverters as patients with MCI whose logical memory scores changed from MCI to normal levels using the logical memory criteria. We explored intrinsic brain activity alterations in MCI reverters from voxel, regional, and whole-brain levels by comparing resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging metrics of the amplitude of low-frequency of fluctuation (ALFF), the fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation (fALFF), percent amplitude of fluctuation (PerAF), regional homogeneity (ReHo), and degree centrality (DC) between MCI reverters and HCs. Finally, partial correlation analyses were conducted between cognitive scale scores and resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging metrics of brain regions, revealing significant group differences. Thirty-two patients with MCI from the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative database were identified as reverters. Thirty-seven age-, sex-, and education-matched healthy individuals were also enrolled. At the voxel level, compared with the HCs, MCI reverters had increased ALFF, fALFF, and PerAF in the frontal gyrus (including the bilateral orbital inferior frontal gyrus and left middle frontal gyrus), increased PerAF in the left fusiform gyrus, and decreased ALFF and fALFF in the right inferior cerebellum. Regarding regional and whole-brain levels, MCI reverters showed increased ReHo in the left fusiform gyrus and right median cingulate and paracingulate gyri; increased DC in the left inferior temporal gyrus and left medial superior frontal; decreased DC in the right inferior cerebellum and bilateral insular gyrus relative to HCs. Furthermore, significant correlations were found between cognitive performance and neuroimaging changes. These findings suggest that MCI reverters show significant intrinsic brain activity changes compared with HCs, potentially related to the cognitive reversion of patients with MCI. These results enhance our understanding of the underlying neuromechanism of MCI reverters and may contribute to further exploration of Alzheimer's disease.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Recent small subcortical infarcts (RSSIs) could evolve into cavitation (lacunes) or non-cavitation (white matter hyperintensities or disappearance) during the chronic period, but the factors involved remain unclear. PURPOSE To explore the association between total cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) burden and lesion cavitation. MATERIAL AND METHODS We retrospectively selected 202 inpatients with an isolated RSSI who underwent baseline and follow-up magnetic resonance imaging (median interval = 16.6 months; interquartile range [IQR]=8.2-30.1). Inpatients were divided into cavitation and non-cavitation groups depending on whether a fluid-filled cavity formed. Data including demographic, clinical, and radiological features were collected and analyzed. To determine total CSVD burden, four imaging markers, including lacunes, microbleeds, white matter hyperintensities, and enlarged perivascular spaces, were rated and summed as a final practical score between 0 and 4. RESULTS Overall, 137 (67.8%) patients progressed to cavitation and 65 (32.2%) to non-cavitation. Binary multivariable regression analysis showed that the baseline total CSVD burden (P = 0.005) and infarct diameter (P = 0.002) were independent risk factors for cavitation. A severe total burden (scores of 3-4) at baseline was independently related to cavitation (P = 0.001). Moreover, the total CSVD burden score varied from 2 (IQR=1-3) at baseline to 3 (IQR=2-4) at follow-up. The extent of the increase in total burden was correlated with cavitation (r = 0.201; P = 0.004). CONCLUSION Total CSVD burden, both the baseline value and extent of increase, was positively associated with cavitation. RSSIs with severe total CSVD burden at baseline have a greater potential to become cavitated.

Abstract
Nitrogen cycling in soil, which associated with microbes, plays an important role in plant growth. Irrational application of nitrogen fertilizer could disrupt the structure of soil microbial community, thus inhibiting the uptake of nitrogen by plants and increasing nitrogen leaching in soil. Field and pot leaching experiments with the combined application of chitin fertilizer and selenium (Se) were carried out in order to develop an approach to improve the efficiency of nitrogen fertilizer utilization and reduce runoff by nitrogen loss in orchards of Guanxi pomelo in Fujian Province. Our results showed that application of chitin fertilizer combined with Se to the soil with reduced nitrogen and phosphate fertilizer (nitrogen fertilizer decreased by 25% and phosphate fertilizer decreased by 50%) could significantly increase the fruit yield, vitamin C and solid-acid ratio in the fruit. The application of chitin fertilizer and Se can not only lead to the increase of total nitrogen content in plant leaves but also the alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen content in soil which enhancing soil nitrogen supplying capacity. It has been found that the adding the chitin fertilizer and Se into soil can significantly affect the structure and functional categories microbial communities and its activities. This is directly evidenced by the findings that the expression level of several groups of N metabolism and transporting related genes (i.e. amoAB and nxrA in nitrification, narG, nirK, norBC, and nosZ in denitrification, nirD, narH in dissimilatory nitrogen reduction, and ureC in ammoniation) has been drastically up-regulated. Our results indicate this strategy for reducing N and P input while maintaining and improving plant performance by supplementing with micronutrient Se and chitin fertilizer can increase the fruit yield and improve the quality of Guanxi pomelo through improving fertilizer use efficiency.

Abstract
Cyclic azodicarbonyl derivatives, particularly 4-phenyl-1,2,4-triazoline-3,5-dione (PTAD), commonly serve as arenophile, dienophile, enophile and electrophile. Perplexed by its instability in aqueous environment, there are few studies focused on the transient intermediate produced by hydrolysis of PTAD to achieve synthetic significance. Herein, we describe a "photo-click" method that involves nitrile imine (NI) from diarylsydnone to capture the diazenecarbonyl-phenyl-carbamic acid (DACPA) generated by water-promoted ring-opening of PTAD. DFT calculation reveal that H-bonding interactions between PTAD and water are vital to form DACPA which exhibited an umpolung effect during ligation by nature bond orbit (NBO) analysis. The ultra-fast ligation resulted in carbamoyl formazans, as a unique Z↔E photo-switchable linker on target molecules, including peptide and drugs, with excellent anti-fatigue performance. This strategy is showcased to construct highly functionalized carbamoyl formazans in situ for photo-pharmacology and material studies, which also expands the chemistry of PTAD in aqueous media.

Abstract
Rhizosphere organic chemicals response and its role on Cr/Se adsorption are of great importance to understand Cr/Se bioavailability in Cr-contaminated soil with the application of Se. In the current work, the processes were carried out using rhizobox experiment (Brassica campestris L. ssp. chinensis Makino). The results showed that in soil contaminated by 200 mg kg-1 Cr(III), Se(IV) complexed with Cr(III) and carboxylic acid (cis-9,10-Epoxystearic acid, hexadecanedioic acid) reduced Cr(VI) to Cr(III), thus increasing of Cr adsorption, furtherly decreasing Cr bioavailability. While in soil contaminated by 120 mg kg-1 Cr(VI), Se(VI) competed for adsorption sites with Cr(VI) and salicylic acid activated insoluble Cr(III), thus decreasing Cr adsorption, finally increasing Cr bioavailability. Moreover, with Cr contamination, Se bioavailability in soil was enhanced by the secretion of carboxylic acid, which can reduce Se to lower valent state and compete the adsorption sites and complex with Se oxyanion. These results yielded a better understanding of rhizosphere dynamics regulating by Se application in Cr-contaminated soil. Moreover, the current study supplemented the theoretical basis for beneficial elements application as an environment-friendly resource to facilitate cleaner production in heavy metal contaminated soil.

Abstract
Future changes in drought events are critical for risk assessment and associated policymaking. In this study, the future changes in meteorological droughts in Henan Province, China are explored. Random forests downscaling model is first constructed based on ERA5 reanalysis data and meteorological observations. The model is validated using evaluation indices such as R2 and RMSE, and is shown to be able to capture the relationship between large-scale predictors and monthly precipitation. The validated random forests downscaling model is driven by multiple global climate models (GCMs) from the Phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP6) under three emission scenarios for projecting three future drought characteristics (duration, frequency, and intensity). Results show that drought frequency decreases in most areas of Henan while drought duration and intensity increase in various degrees. Some differences are also observed among different emission scenarios, especially under SSP2-4.5, where the magnitudes of changes in drought duration and intensity are lower relative to other scenarios. The decrease in drought frequency in most areas is found to be caused by increases in monthly mean precipitation in this study. Changes in drought duration and intensity are related to a combination of increases in precipitation mean and variability.

Abstract
Most chemical plant wastewater contains both organic and inorganic pollutants, which are easy to diffuse along with surface runoff. The combined pollution of nonylphenol (NP) and cadmium (Cd) in soil is a serious problem that has not attracted enough attention. Based on the effects of selenium (Se) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) on plant and soil microbial communities, we speculated that the application of Se and P. aeruginosa in soil could improve the phytoremediation efficiency of ryegrass on contaminated soil. In this study, pot experiments with Cd and NP co-contaminated soil were conducted, and the results showed that application of P. aeruinosa alone could improve the removal rates of NP and Cd by ryegrass, and the supplementary of Se further enhanced the effect of micro-phyto remediation, with the highest removal rates of NP and Cd were 79.6% and 49.4%, respectively. The application of P. aeruginosa plus Se reduced the adsorption of Cd and NP through C-O and Si-O-Fe of the soil, changed the enzyme activity, and also affected the changing trend of the microbial community in soil. Pseudomonas, Sphingomonadales, Nitrospira, and other beneficial bacteria were enriched after a 60-day period with P. aeruginosa and Se treatment, thus promoting the removal of NP and Cd. In light of the above results, we suggest that P. aeruginosa application can efficiently facilitate the phytoremediation of ryegrass on Cd-NP co-contaminated soil, and Se supplementation in soil showed the synergistic effect on the remediation.

Abstract
Huanglongbing (HLB) caused by 'Ca. Liberibacter. Asiaticus (Clas)' is one of the destructive diseases for citrus, threatening the development of citrus industry. Adopting a proper fertilization method instead of using pesticides seems particularly important, which would contribute to a sustainable development of orchard. In this study, the impact of soil application of nutrients combined with foliar spray of macro- and micro-nutrients on the incidence of HLB and the phyllosphere and rhizosphere bacterial microbiome was investigated in Gannan Navel Orange orchard from 2015 to 2018. Compared with the control (T1), the yield of Gannan Navel Orange in all other treatments applied with macro- and micro-nutrients increased significantly in 2018 (by 20.5%-45.8%), but not in the first two years (2016-17). Among treatments, Ca + Mg + B application in soil (T2) showed the highest yield and lowest HLB incidence. According to the PCR results, CLas was negative in T2 but positive in the control, which directly proved HLB incidence was reduced with Ca + Mg + B application in soil. Moreover, 16S rRNA sequencing was used to characterize rhizosphere and phyllosphere microbial communities. Results showed that microbial biodiversity was increased and microbial community structure was altered in T2 treatment, of which the beneficial bacteria were enriched in phyllosphere and rhizosphere. The results of PICRUSt showed that in T2 treatment, rhizosphere microbe contained more membrane transport (ABC transporters) genes, while, carbohydrate metabolism genes were enriched in the control rhizosphere due to HLB obstruct the photosynthetic metabolite transport. In summary, results indicated that macro- and micro-nutrients application improved the yield of Gannan Navel Orange and soil application of Ca + Mg + B reduced HLB incidence by altering microbial community structure and increasing microbial biodiversity. This study developed an environment-friendly way to reduce HLB incidence and improve the yield of citrus.

Abstract
Chromium (Cr) disrupts the growth and physiology of plants. Selenium (Se) is considered as a promising option to help plants ameliorate Cr toxicity. To investigate the effects of exogenous Se on reactive oxygen species (ROS) burst and programmed cell death (PCD) in root tip cells under Cr stress, hydroponic experiments were carried out with Chinese cabbage seedlings grown in Hoagland solution containing 1 mg L-1 Cr and 0.1 mg L-1 Se. Results showed that Se scavenged the overproduction of H2O2 and O2-·, and alleviated the level of lipid peroxidation in root tips stressed by Cr. Moreover, Se effectively prevented DNA degradation and reduced the number of apoptotic cells in root tips. Compared with Cr treatment, Se supplementation reduced the content of ROS and malondialdehyde in mitochondria by 38.23% and 17.52%, respectively. Se application decreased the opening degree of mitochondrial permeability transition pores by 32.30%, increased mitochondrial membrane potential by 40.91%, alleviated the release of cyt c from mitochondria into cytosol by 18.42% and caused 57.40% decrease of caspase 3-like protease activity, and thus restored mitochondrial dysfunction caused by Cr stress. In addition, the alteration of Se on mitochondrial physiological properties maintained calcium homeostasis between mitochondria and cytosol, which further contributed to reducing the appearance of Cr-induced PCD. Findings suggested that Se restored mitochondrial dysfunction, which further rescued root tip cells from PCD, consequently activating defense strategies to protect plants from Cr toxicity and maintaining plant growth.

Abstract
Selenium (Se) is a component of many enzymes and indispensable for human health due to its characteristics of reducing oxidative stress and enhancing immunity. Human beings take Se mainly from Se-containing crops. Taking measures to biofortify crops with Se may lead to improved public health. Se accumulation in plants mainly depends on the content and bioavailability of Se in soil. Beneficial microbes may change the chemical form and bioavailability of Se. This review highlights the potential role of microbes in promoting Se uptake and accumulation in crops and the related mechanisms. The potential approaches of microbial enhancement of Se biofortification can be summarized in the following four aspects: (1) microbes alter soil properties and impact the redox chemistry of Se to improve the bioavailability of Se in soil; (2) beneficial microbes regulate root morphology and stimulate the development of plants through the release of certain secretions, facilitating Se uptake in plants; (3) microbes upregulate the expression of certain genes and proteins that are related to Se metabolism in plants; and (4) the inoculation of microbes give rise to the generation of certain metabolites in plants contributing to Se absorption. Considering the ecological safety and economic feasibility, microbial enhancement is a potential tool for Se biofortification. For further study, the recombination and establishment of synthesis microbes is of potential benefit in Se-enrichment agriculture.

Abstract
PURPOSE To survey the occurrence rate of ascites in patients with thecoma-fibroma and its potential correlation with tumor MR imaging characteristics. METHODS A total of 40 patients with surgically proven thecoma-fibroma were enrolled in this retrospective study. We determined the tumor size, the components (solid or cystic) and their signal intensity features. Second, we identified ascites according to the fat-suppressed sagittal T2-weighted imaging sequence and divided all cases into two groups (with or without ascites). Furthermore, we explored the correlations of ascites with tumor size, tumor solidity, pathological types, patient's postmenopausal status and serum CA-125 levels by using the χ2 test. RESULTS (1) Among the 40 cases, 15 tumors were fibromas, 15 thecomas, and 10 fibrothecomas. Nine patients (26.47%) had elevated CA-125 levels (>35.0 U/ml). (2) Thirty-one patients had ascites (77.50%), 29 of which had a small amount of ascites. Nine cases had no ascites (22.50%). (3) MRI showed a solid mass in 22 cases (55.0%), cystic mass in five cases (12.5%) and mixed solid-cystic mass in 13 cases (32.5%). The χ2 test revealed that the incidence of ascites was significantly correlated with tumor size, tumor solidity and serum CA-125 levels (P < 0.05), but not with menopause and pathological type (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION Our data revealed that the incidence of ascites was 77.50% and was mainly correlated with tumor size and elevated CA-125 levels. These findings have potential value for improving the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of thecoma-fibroma.
