Abstract
Cervical cancer, closely linked to human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, is a major global health concern. Our study aims to fill the gap in understanding HPV vaccine awareness and acceptance in the Middle East, where national immunization programs are often lacking and cultural perceptions hinder acceptance. This systematic review and meta-analysis adhered to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. A comprehensive literature search across several databases was conducted on 5 September 2023. We included quantitative studies on HPV vaccine awareness and acceptance in Middle Eastern countries. Data extraction and quality assessment were conducted independently by multiple reviewers to ensure accuracy. Statistical analyses, including subgroup analyses, were performed using R to calculate pooled estimates, assess heterogeneity, and publication bias. We reviewed 159 articles from 15 Middle Eastern countries, focusing on 93,730 participants, predominantly female and healthcare workers. HPV vaccine awareness was found to be 41.7% (95% CI 37.4%-46.1%), with higher awareness among healthcare workers. The pooled acceptance rate was 45.6% (95% CI 41.3%-50.1%), with similar rates between healthcare and non-healthcare workers. Our study highlights the critical need for increased HPV vaccine awareness and acceptance in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of integrating the vaccine into national immunization programs and addressing cultural and religious factors to improve public health outcomes.

Abstract
This descriptive, cross-sectional survey study aimed to evaluate the knowledge of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and vaccination, related diseases, vaccination status, and attitudes toward vaccination among Turkish male health care workers (HCWs). The study was planned between June 20 and 30, 2023. A questionnaire was developed by reviewing similar studies to assess the sociodemographic characteristics, knowledge about HPV, vaccination, and attitudes toward vaccination. A total of 322 volunteers (doctors, male nurses, and other allied health personnel such as cleaning staff, patient carers, and technicians) completed the questionnaire. Participants generally provided accurate answers to questions about HPV but often provided incorrect answers regarding vaccination. In addition, the overall HPV knowledge score was significantly higher among vaccinated participants or those willing to be vaccinated than those who were unvaccinated participants and those who were unwilling to be vaccinated (p < .05). There was a significant and moderately strong relationship between HPV vaccine knowledge level and willingness to be vaccinated. In addition, the relationship between vaccination status and knowledge level was substantial. Factors such as medical position, age, alcohol use, and regular physical activity were more likely to affect the HPV knowledge levels of assistant HCWs negatively. Vaccine hesitancy was also higher in the 27 to 40 age group. Knowledge about HPV, medical position, number of sexual partners, social habits, views on vaccination, cost, and religious and cultural values directly affect the rate of HPV vaccination and willingness to be vaccinated.

Abstract
AIM This study aimed to determine the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of male nurses towards human papillomavirus (HPV) and HPV vaccination and to examine whether knowledge about the HPV vaccine affects attitudes and beliefs about HPV vaccines. BACKGROUND HPV is responsible for ≈5% of all cancers worldwide. Therefore, vaccination against HPV is recommended to prevent HPV infections and HPV-related cancers in men and women. METHODS The study group included 383 male nurses who were asked to complete online questionnaires. The data were collected using the following tools: a sociodeomographical characteristics form, the Human Papillomavirus Knowledge Scale (HPVKS), and The Carolina HPV Immunization Attitudes and Beliefs Scale (CHIAS). RESULTS It was determined that the general HPV knowledge of the male nurses participating in the study was at a moderate level, but their knowledge of HPV screening test, HPV vaccination, and current HPV vaccination programmes were at a low level. Male nurses' HPV vaccination rates were relatively low, and most of them did not intend to be vaccinated. In addition, CHIAS Attitudes and Beliefs scores of the male nurses were at an average level and HPV knowledge affected the attitudes and beliefs of the nurses. CONCLUSION These results demonstrate an opportunity to improve information and awareness about HPV and vaccines by nursing education.

Abstract
The human papillomavirus is known to cause cervical and anogenital cancer and benign anogenital and cutaneous warts. Both males and females can contract the virus during sexual intercourse and skin-to-skin contact. Communities in low- and middle-income countries, including Africa, are particularly suffering from human papillomavirus-related diseases, mainly cervical cancer. Vaccination is the most economical and efficient prevention strategy to control human papillomavirus-related diseases. Undoubtedly, to control all types of human papillomavirus-related morbidity and mortality, the entire at-risk, sexually active population needs to be vaccinated regardless of their sex. However, the vaccination program, particularly in Africa, the world's most resource-limited region, is habitually limited to the female population, considering only the burden of cervical cancer. We think that it is impossible to fully mitigate the human papillomavirus infection by vaccinating only the female population, while males can carry and pass the virus. In addition, marginalizing males from this program seems to violate gender inequality and their sexual and reproductive health rights. Hence, we voice the need for global and local governments to consider and customize human papillomavirus vaccination programs for the male population. Also, it is better to consider the male population in different research studies regarding human papillomavirus-related malignant and benign conditions.

Abstract
The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine reduces the prevalence of genital warts and the cancers they are associated with in males. However, the vaccination of males has always been neglected. Here, we performed a meta-analysis to comprehend the acceptability of the HPV vaccine in men and the factors impacting vaccination intentions. We searched PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Ovid, CNKI, and Wan Fang up to 5 July 2023 for studies that reported HPV vaccine acceptance among men. A random effects model was used to obtain the pooled acceptance rate, and subgroup analysis was performed. Then, the influencing factors of HPV vaccination in males were analyzed. A total of 57 studies with 32,962 samples were included in the analysis. The overall acceptance rate of the HPV vaccine in general men was 47.04% (95% confidence interval [95%CI]: 39.23-54.93%), and 62.23% (95% CI: 52.93-71.10%) among those whose sexual orientation contained men. HPV vaccine acceptance rates differed significantly between the two populations (p = 0.01). The population with a medical background (46.23%, 95% CI: 40.28-52.24%) was more willing to be vaccinated. In comparison to the employed population (66.93%, 95% CI: 48.79-82.81%) and the unemployed (68.44%, 95% CI: 52.82-82.23%), vaccination acceptance rates were lower among students (47.35%, 95% CI: 37.00-57.81%) (p = 0.04). The most significant barriers to vaccination were perceived low risk of infection for themselves (45.91%, 95% CI: 31.73-60.43%), followed by vaccine cost (43.46%, 95% CI: 31.20-56.13%). Moreover, the recommendations from medical professionals (60.90%, 95%CI: 44.23-76.37%) and sexual partners (60.09%, 95%CI: 27.11-88.67%) were significant factors in promoting vaccination. Overall, acceptance of the HPV vaccine among general men was at a lower level, despite being slightly higher among men with a same-sex orientation. Popularizing knowledge about diseases and vaccines, encouraging medical professionals to recommend vaccines to men, or reducing the cost of vaccines may promote HPV vaccination.
