Abstract
Iron(II) compounds of a family of 3-(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole ligands with aliphatic substituents of different lengths and branching have been prepared and characterized together with the benzyl derivative with formula [Fe(L)3][X]2·(solv)n (L = 3-(2-pyridyl)-5R-1,2,4-triazole, R = Et (L1), i-Pr (L2), Me (L3), Bz (L4), c-Pr (L5) and C5H9O (L6), X = ClO4- or BF4-, solv = H2O, EtOH or Me2CO). In the complexes with ethyl substituents [Fe(L1)3][ClO4]2 (1[ClO4]2) and [Fe(L1)3][BF4]2 (1[BF4]2), the length and flexibility of the alkyl chain are appropriate to obtain a structure without solvent molecules and strong intermolecular interactions (hydrogen bonds), leading to remarkable spin-crossover properties such as multistep abrupt spin transitions with thermal hysteresis associated with structural phase transitions, light or thermally induced excited spin state trapping effects (LIESST and TIESST, respectively) in 1[BF4]2, and LIESST and reverse LIESST in 1[ClO4]2. The presence of disordered solvent molecules and, subsequently, weaker intermolecular interactions in the other compounds with shorter or bulkier substituents gives rise to gradual and incomplete spin-crossover, as usually found for these types of complexes. In [Fe(L2)3][BF4]2·EtOH (2[BF4]2·EtOH), removal of the solvent molecules to form the unsolvated compound [Fe(L2)3][BF4]2 (2[BF4]2) results in more abrupt and complete spin-crossover.

Abstract
The title compound, bis-[μ-2,2'-(4H-1,2,4-triazole-3,5-di-yl)di-acetato]-bis-[di-aqua-copper(II)] dihydrate, [Cu2(C6H5N3O4)2(H2O)4]·2H2O, is a dinuclear octa-hedral CuII triazole-based complex. The central copper atoms are hexa-coordinated by two nitro-gen atoms in the equatorial positions, two equatorial oxygen atoms of two carboxyl-ate substituents in position 3 and 5 of the 1,2,4-triazole ring, and two axial oxygen atoms of two water mol-ecules. Two additional solvent water mol-ecules are linked to the title mol-ecule by O-H⋯N and O⋯H-O hydrogen bonds. The crystal structure is built up from the parallel packing of discrete supra-molecular chains running along the a-axis direction. Hirshfeld surface analysis suggests that the most important contributions to the surface contacts are from H⋯O/O⋯H (53.5%), H⋯H (28.1%), O⋯O (6.3%) and H⋯C/C⋯H (6.2%) inter-actions. The crystal studied was twinned by a twofold rotation around [100].

Abstract
A new triazene ligand was prepared by the reaction of the bulky aryl azide, TerMesN3, (2,6-bis(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)phenyl azide), with the bulky N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC), SIPr (N,N'-2,6-bis(diisopropylphenyl)-3,4-dihydroimidazol-2-ylidene). The steric bulk of these two groups leads to perpendicular bonding of the NHC-N3 plane and the aryl group which provides immense steric crowding around the triazene core. The corresponding π-conjugated triazene ligand was utilized as a neutral, monodentate ligand which results in monomeric Cu(I)Cl, Ag(I)OTf, and Au(I)Cl complexes. Instability of the π-conjugated triazene Au(I)Cl complex was observed, even under inert conditions. When dissolved and photolyzed in THF with workup in isopropanol, the compound decomposes forming [(SIPrNH)2Au(I)][Au(I)Cl2] a relatively stable compound to light, moisture, and water - alongside the formation of gold nanoparticles which were characterized using scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive spectroscopy.

Abstract
The renaissance of research interests in actinide oxo clusters in the past decade arises from both the concerns of radioactive contamination and their potential utility as nanoscale materials. Compared to the uranium cluster, the thorium (Th) cluster shows less coordination variation. Herein, we presented a unique Th cluster (ThC-1) that exhibits the most diverse coordination chemistry found within a single Th cluster via a solvent-free flux synthesis approach. The melt triazole not only offers a unique solvation environment that may be responsible for the coordination diversity in ThC-1 but also represents the first nitrogen-donor capping ligand in Th clusters. The potential utility of ThC-1 as a heterogeneous catalyst was also explored for a classical CO2 cycloaddition reaction. This work offers a novel approach in synthesizing Th clusters, broadening the realm of the structural diversity of Th.

Abstract
Two new complexes, bis-[4-amino-3,5-bis-(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole-κ2N2,N6]bis-(dicyanamide-κN8)copper(II), [Cu(abpt)2(dca)2] (1) and bis-[4-amino-3,5-bis-(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole-κ2N2,N6]bis-(dicyanamide-κN8)cobalt(II), [Co(abpt)2(dca)2] (2), have been prepared and magneto-structurally characterised. Single crystal studies of both complexes have shown that their crystal structures are molecular, in which the central atoms are six-coordinated in the form of a distorted octahedron by two bidentate abpt and two monodentate dca ligands. Even if both complexes have the same composition and crystallize in the same P1̄ space group, they are not isostructural. Both structures contain strong intermolecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking interactions. IR spectra are consistent with the solved structures of both complexes and confirmed the terminal character of the dca ligands and the bidentate coordination of the abpt ligands. The analysis of the magnetic properties showed that both complexes exhibit field-induced slow spin-phonon relaxation. In both complexes, the slow spin-phonon relaxation is influenced by a severe phonon-bottleneck effect that affects the direct process, a dominant relaxation mechanism at low temperatures in both complexes. The phonon-bottleneck effect in 1 was suppressed by simply reducing the crystallite size, and further analysis of the field dependence of the relaxation time yielded the characteristic energy of vibrational modes of 11 cm-1 participating in the Raman process at low magnetic fields. The analysis of magnetic properties and ab initio calculations confirmed that 2 represents a system with a moderate uniaxial anisotropy yielding an average energy barrier of 82 cm-1 (from all four nonequivalent Co(II) sites in the structure of 2).

Abstract
Six new pyrimidin-2-yl-substituted triaryltriazoles, namely, 4-(4-R-phenyl)-3-(pyridin-2-yl)-5-(pyrimidin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazoles [L1: R = methoxy (OCH3); L2: R = methyl (CH3); L3: R = nil (H); L4: R = bromo (Br); L5: R = chloro (Cl); L6: R = fluoro (F)] have been successfully synthesized with yields in the range 68.3-81.7%. Compounds L1-6 have been characterized by UV-Vis, FT-IR, 1H NMR and ESI-MS spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. In addition, the structures of L2-6 and the ethanol monosolvate of L2 (L2·C2H5OH) have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. A combination of intermolecular O-H...N, C-H...O, C-H...N and C-H...π hydrogen bonds connects the components of L2·C2H5OH into a three-dimensional (3D) framework. A combination of three intermolecular C-H...N hydrogen bonds links the molecules of L2 or L3 into two different 3D networks. Both L4 and L5 show a similar 3D net structure through two intermolecular C-H...N hydrogen bonds and one kind of C-H...π interaction. However, L6 displays a more complicated 3D net structure via three intermolecular C-H...N hydrogen bonds and one kind of C-H...π interaction. Notably, an interaction between the π-electrons and the lone-pair p-electrons of a halogen atom (Br, Cl and F) is observed in L4-6, which will further stabilize the 3D networks. The intermolecular interactions in L2·C2H5OH and L2-6 were further investigated by 3D Hirshfeld surface analyses and 2D fingerprint plots to show that the prominent interactions are H...H, N...H/H...N and C...H/H...C contacts.

Abstract
The title compound, [Cu(HL)2(H2O)2] or [Cu(C4H4N3O2)2(H2O)2], is a mononuclear octa-hedral CuII complex based on 5-methyl-1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-carb-oxy-lic acid (H2 L). [Cu(HL)2(H2O)2] was synthesized by reaction of H2 L with copper(II) nitrate hexa-hydrate (2:1 stoichiometric ratio) in water under ambient conditions to produce clear light-blue crystals. The central Cu atom exhibits an N2O4 coordination environment in an elongated octa-hedral geometry provided by two bidentate HL - anions in the equatorial plane and two water mol-ecules in the axial positions. Hirshfeld surface analysis revealed that the most important contributions to the surface contacts are from H⋯O/O⋯H (33.1%), H⋯H (29.5%) and H⋯N/N⋯H (19.3%) inter-actions.

Abstract
The tautomerism of a series of 5-alkyl substituted 3-(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazoles in DMSO-d6-containing water has been investigated by 1H, 13C and 15N NMR spectroscopy. The populations of the three possible regioisomers in the tautomeric equilibrium (A [3-alkyl-5-(2-pyridyl)-1H], B [5-alkyl-3-(2-pyridyl)-1H] and C [5-alkyl-3-(2-pyridyl)-4H]) were determined. Isomers A (17-40%) and B (54-79%) are the major components and their ratio is insensitive to the substitution pattern, except for the unsubstituted and the methoxymethyl substituted derivatives. The isomer C (3-5%) has been fully characterised for the first time by NMR spectroscopy. Activation energies of tautomerisation (14.74-16.78 kcal mol-1) were determined by EXSY experiments, which also supported the involvement of water in the tautomerisation. Substituent effects on the 15N chemical shifts are relatively small. The DFT study of the tautomerism in DMSO-water showed that both A/B and B/C interconversions are assisted by the pyridine substituent and catalysed by solvent molecules. The NH-A/NH-B tautomerisation takes place via a relayed quadruple proton transfer mediated by three water molecules in the hydrogen-bonded cyclic substructure of a triazole·4H2O complex. The equilibrium B ⇄ C involves three steps: NH-B transfer to the pyridyl nitrogen mediated by a water molecule in a 1 : 1 cyclic complex, rotamerisation to bring the pyridinium NH close to N4 of the triazole catalysed by complexation to a DMSO molecule and transfer of the NH from the pyridinium donor to the N4 acceptor via a 1 : 1 complex with a bridging water molecule. This mechanism of 1,3-prototropic shift in triazoles is unprecedented in the literature.

Abstract
The etching of iron alloy items in a H3PO4 solution is used in various human activities (gas and oil production, metalworking, transport, utilities, etc.). The etching of iron alloys is associated with significant material losses due to their corrosion. It has been found that an efficient way to prevent the corrosion of iron alloys in a H3PO4 solution involves the formation of thin complex compound films consisting of the corrosion inhibitor molecules of a triazole derivative (TrzD) on their surface. It has been shown that the protection of iron alloys with a mixture of TrzD + KNCS in a H3PO4 solution is accompanied by the formation of a thin film of coordination polymer compounds thicker than 4 nm consisting of TrzD molecules, Fe2+ cations and NCS-. The layer of the complex compound immediately adjacent to the iron alloy surface is chemisorbed on it. The efficiency of this composition as an inhibitor of iron alloy corrosion and hydrogen bulk sorption by iron alloys is determined by its ability to form a coordination polymer compound layer, as experimentally confirmed by electrochemical, AFM and XPS data. The efficiency values of inhibitor compositions 5 mM TrzD + 0.5 mM KNCS and 5 mM TrzD + 0.5 mM KNCS + 200 mM C6H12N4 at a temperature of 20 ± 1 °C are 97% and 98%, respectively. The kinetic parameters of the limiting processes of hydrogen evolution and permeation into an iron alloy in a H3PO4 solution were determined. A significant decrease in both the reaction rate of hydrogen evolution and the rate of hydrogen permeation into the iron alloy by the TrzD and its mixtures in question was noted. The inhibitor compositions 5 mM TrzD + 0.5 mM KNCS and 5 mM TrzD + 0.5 mM KNCS + 200 mM C6H12N4 decreased the total hydrogen concentration in the iron alloy up to 9.3- and 11-fold, respectively. The preservation of the iron alloy plasticity in the corrosive environment containing the inhibitor under study was determined by a decrease in the hydrogen content in the alloy bulk.

Abstract
Di- and multinuclear hafnium complexes bridged by ligands have been rarely reported. In this article, a novel 3,5-disubstituted pyrazolate-bridged ligand LH5 with two [N2 N]2- -type chelating side arms was designed and synthesized, which supported a series of dinuclear hafnium complexes. Dinuclear hafnium azides [LHf2 (μ-1,1-N3 )2 (N3 )2 ][Na(THF)4 ] 3 and [LHf2 (μ-1,1-N3 )2 (N3 )2 ][Na(2,2,2-Kryptofix)] 4 were further synthesized and structurally characterized, featuring two sets of terminal and bridging azido ligands like jellyfishes. The reactivity of 3 under reduction conditions was conducted, leading to a formation of a tetranuclear hafnium imido complex [L1 Hf2 (μ1 -NH)(N3 ){μ2 -K}]2 5. DFT calculations revealed that the mixed imido azide 5 was generated via an intramolecular C-H insertion from a putative dinuclear HfIV -nitridyl intermediate.

Abstract
We synthesized iron(II)-triazole spin crossover compounds of the type [Fe(atrz)3]X2 and incorporated and deposited them on electrospun polymer nanofibers. For this, we used two separate electrospinning methods with the goal of obtaining polymer complex composites with intact switching properties. In view of possible applications, we chose iron(II)-triazole-complexes that are known to exhibit spin crossover close to ambient temperature. Therefore, we used the complexes [Fe(atrz)3]Cl2 and [Fe(atrz)3](2ns)2 (2ns = 2-Naphthalenesulfonate) and deposited those on fibers of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) and incorporated them into core-shell-like PMMA fiber structures. These core-shell structures showed to be inert to outer environmental influences, such as droplets of water, which we purposely cast on the fiber structure, and it did not rinse away the used complex. We analyzed both the complexes and the composites with IR-, UV/Vis, Mössbauer spectroscopy, SQUID magnetometry, as well as SEM and EDX imaging. The analysis via UV/Vis spectroscopy, Mössbauer spectroscopy, and temperature-dependent magnetic measurements with the SQUID magnetometer showed that the spin crossover properties were maintained and were not changed after the electrospinning processes.

Abstract
Polycyclic structures fused at a central carbon are of great interest due to their appealing conformational features and their structural implications in biological systems. Although progress in the development of synthetic methodologies toward such structures has been impressive, the stereo selective construction of such quaternary stereo centers remains a significant challenge in the total synthesis of natural products. From the computational calculations by Density Functional Theory along with the B3LYP as basis set, It is obvious that the all studied compounds are soft molecules and η varied from 0.069 for compound (10) to 0.087 for compound (15), while the compound (14) is treated as hard molecule, the value of η is 0.102, also the electronic transition within the soft compounds is easy as indicated from the △E, the compound (10) is absolute soft according to the (σ = 14.49 eV), while the compound (14) is treated as hard compounds (σ = 9.804 eV). The newly formed compounds exhibited both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities on HRBC homolytic and membrane stabilization and DPPH scavenging percent, respectively.

Abstract
Two zinc (Zn) complexes, [Zn2(DAT)2Cl4] (I) and [Zn2(DAT)2(NO3)4] (II), were prepared by grinding 3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazole (C2H5N5, DAT) with Zn precursors such as ZnCl2 and Zn(NO3)2, respectively. This solid-state reaction gives the corresponding Zn complex as the sole product in over 99% yield. This mechanochemical method promotes the selective formation of Zn complexes different from those obtained using the conventional solution-based route. The crystal structures of the two complexes were analyzed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex (I) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c, whereas complex (II) crystallizes in the triclinic space group P 1̅. Each complex is characterized by the presence of a characteristic DAT-bridged dimer with one DAT ligand per Zn atom, and the DAT ligand provides a bridge between the two Zn metals. All Zn centers of (I) and (II) adopted a slightly distorted tetrahedral geometry. Both complexes contain a hexanuclear Zn2N4 ring, but their ring structures are different. Complex (I) possesses a boat geometry, while complex (II) has a nearly planar structure. The Zn-bound chlorides of complex (I) form intermolecular N-H···Cl hydrogen bonds that link neighboring molecules. In complex (II), the O atoms in the nitrate groups are hydrogen-bonded to the DAT ligand via O···H-N linkages. Both complexes exhibit blue emissions in the solid state at ambient temperature. They were evaluated as anticancer agents in HeLa, NCCIT, and MCF-7 cancer cell lines, exhibiting promising anticancer activities.

Abstract
The exploration of novel electrocatalysts for CO2 reduction is necessary to overcome global warming and the depletion of fossil fuels. In the current study, the electrocatalytic CO2 reduction of [Re(CO)3Cl(N-N)], where N-N represents 3-(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole (Hpy), 3-(pyridin-2-yl)-5-phenyl-l,2,4-triazole (Hph), and 2,2'-bipyridine-4,4' dicarboxylic acidic (bpy-COOH) ligands, was investigated. In CO2-saturated electrolytes, cyclic voltammograms showed an enhancement of the current at the second reduction wave for all complexes. In the presence of triethanolamine (TEOA), the currents of Re(Hpy), Re(Hph), and Re(bpy-COOH) enhanced significantly by approximately 4-, 2-, and 5-fold at peak potentials of -1.60, -150, and -1.69 VAg/Ag+, respectively (in comparison to without TEOA). The reduction potential of Re(Hph) was less negative than those of Re(Hpy) and Re(COOH), which was suggested to cause its least efficiency for CO2 reduction. Chronoamperometry measurements showed the stability of the cathodic current at the second reduction wave for at least 300 s, and Re(COOH) was the most stable in the CO2-catalyzed reduction. The appearance and disappearance of the absorption band in the UV/vis spectra indicated the reaction of the catalyst with molecular CO2 and its conversion to new species, which were proposed to be Re-DMF + and Re-TEOA and were supposed to react with CO2 molecules. The CO2 molecules were claimed to be captured and inserted into the oxygen bond of Re-TEOA, resulting in the enhancement of the CO2 reduction efficiency. The results indicate a new way of using these complexes in electrocatalytic CO2 reduction.

Abstract
Two pairs of enantiomerically pure hexanuclear and tetranuclear microporous molybdenum(V) d/l-tartrates, (H2trz)3[Mo6O6(μ2-O)3(μ2-S)3(d/l-Htart)3(Htrz)6]·8H2O (abbreviated as d-1 and l-1; H4tart = tartaric acid, Htrz = 1,2,4-triazole) and (H22-mim)8[Mo4O4(μ2-S)4(d/l-tart)2]2·4H2O (d-2/l-2; H2-mim = 2-methylimidazole), have been isolated in reduced media and well characterized. These enantiomers are observed to finish self-assemblies with single chiral configurations. Structural analyses indicate that tartrates adopt different coordination modes with α-carboxy and/or α-alkoxy groups in 1 and 2, which are further completed with nitrogen-containing ligands. There are two types of micropores that exist in 1 and 2, separately, which are all formed by the isolated molecules themselves. The significant roles of hydrogen bonding among lattice molecules, tartrates, and multi-azoles are suggested, where 1 and 2 exhibited interesting supramolecular networks only through intramolecular self-sorts. Adsorption tests show that 1 has good affinities toward CO2 and O2, while 2 is the most potential O2 adsorbent compared with other common gases CO2, H2, CH4, and N2 under different pressures. In addition, IR, UV-vis, CD (circular dichroism), and solid-state 13C NMR spectroscopies have demonstrated the special chemical properties of these novel molybdenum d/l-tartrates.

Abstract
The platinum(II) complexes of general formula [PtCl2(dstp)(S-donor)] were dstp 5,7-dimethyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]-pyrimidine (dmtp), 5,7-ditertbutyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (dbtp), 5-methyl-7-isobutyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (ibmtp) or 5,7-diphenyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (dptp), whereas S-tetrahydrothio-phene-1-oxide (TMSO) or diphenyl sulfoxide (DPSO) were synthesized in a one-pot reaction. Here, we present experimental data (1H, 13C, 15N, 195Pt NMR, IR, X-ray) combined with density functional theory (DFT) computations to support and characterize structure–spectra relationships and determine the geometry of dichloride platinum(II) complexes with selected triazolopyrimidines and sulfoxides. Based on the experimental and theoretical data, factors affecting the stability of platinum(II) complexes have been determined.

Abstract
An efficient approach to the gram-scale synthesis of 3(5)-substituted, 1,3- and 1,5-disubstituted 1,2,4-triazole-derived building blocks is described. The key synthetic precursors - 1,2,4-triazole-3(5)-carboxylates (20 examples, 35-89% yield) were prepared from readily available acyl hydrazides and ethyl 2-ethoxy-2-iminoacetate hydrochloride. Further transformations were performed following the convergent synthetic strategy and allowed the preparation of 1,3- and 1,5-disubstituted 1,2,4-triazole-derived esters (16 examples, 25-75% yield), 3(5)-substituted, 1,3- and 1,5-disubstituted carboxylate salts (18 examples, 78-93% yield), amides (5 examples, 82-93% yield), nitriles (5 examples, 30-85% yield), hydrazides (6 examples, 84-89% yield), and hydroxamic acids (3 examples, 73-78% yield). Considering wide applications of the 1,2,4-triazole motif in medicinal chemistry, these compounds are valuable building blocks for lead-oriented synthesis; they have also great potential for coordination chemistry. Abstract
The reaction of MnCl2, 2-(5-{6-[5-(Pyrazin-2-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl]pyridin-2-yl}-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)pyrazine (H2ptptp), 4,4′-sulfonyldibenzoic acid (H2sdba) or 4-(4-carboxyphenoxy)phthalate acid (H3cpop) and [BMI]Br ionic liquids (BMI = 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium) gave rise to two complexes, {[Mn4(ptptp)2(sdba)2(H2O)2]·2H2O}n (1) and {[Mn3(ptptp)(cpop)Br(H2O)2]·2H2O}n (2). The compounds have been well characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, thermogravimetric analysis, as well as single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction. The structure feature of 1 is that Mn(II) ions in the [Mn6(sdba)2] loops of V-shaped sdba2− ligands are ptptp2− ligands, respectively, and a 2D layer is constructed from sdba2− and ptptp2− ligands. The adjacent 2D layers are connected by O–H⋯N hydrogen bonds to form a 3D supramolecular network. The neighbouring trinuclear Mn(II) clusters in 2 are linked by V-shaped cpop3− ligands to give a 2D layer, which is penetrated by ptptp2− ligands to form self-threading structure. The results of variable-temperature magnetic studies have shown that the magnetic interactions between the Mn(II) ions in 1 and 2 are mainly due to antiferromagnetic coupling.

Abstract
Compounds that exhibit spin-crossover (SCO) type behavior have been extensively investigated due to their ability to act as molecular switches. Depending on the coordinating ligand, in this case 1H-1,2,4-triazole, and the crystallite size of the SCO compound produced, the energy requirement for the spin state transition can vary. Here, SCO [Fe(Htrz)2(trz)](BF4)] nanoparticles were synthesized using modified reverse micelle methods. Reaction conditions and reagent ratios are strictly controlled to produce nanocubes of 40-50 nm in size. Decreases in energy requirements are seen in both thermal and magnetic transitions for the smaller sized crystallites, where, compared to bulk materials, a decrease of as much as 20 °C can be seen in low to high spin state transitions.

Abstract
We report on a molecular cationic iron(II) complex with a 4-amino-1,2,4-triazole ligand and a tetraiodomercurate anion exhibiting an incomplete spin crossover (SCO). The complex exhibits an unusual disordered structure with a linear arrangement of ligand and water molecules that can potentially accommodate up to four iron atoms, but both terminal metal positions have half chemical occupancies, while occupancies of all ligands are full. This corresponds to the crystallisation of disordered trinuclear complexes arranged into 1D supramolecular chains. Iron cations have different N6 or N3O3 coordination environments, leading to the thermally induced SCO in two thirds of the metal centres. This SCO behaviour was characterised by magnetic susceptibility measurements and Mössbauer spectroscopy.

Abstract
A family of five new bis-bidentate azole-triazole Rat ligands (1,3-bis(5-(azole)-4-isobutyl-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)benzene), varying in choice of azole (2-imidazole, 4-imidazole, 1-methyl-4-imidazole, 4-oxazole and 4-thiazole), and the corresponding family of spin-crossover (SCO) and redox active triply bridged dinuclear helicates, [FeII 2L3]4+, has been prepared and characterised. X-ray crystal structures show all five Fe(ii) helicates are low spin at 100 K. Importantly, DOSY NMR confirms the intactness of these SCO-active dinuclear helicates in D3-MeCN solution, regardless of HS fraction: γ HS(298 K) = 0-0.81. Variable temperature 1H NMR Evans and UV-vis studies reveal that the helicates are SCO-active in MeCN solution. Indeed, the choice of azole in the Rat ligand used in [Fe2L3]4+ tunes: (a) solution SCO T 1/2 from 247 to 471 K, and (b) reversible redox potential, E m(FeII/III), from 0.25 to 0.67 V for four helicates, whilst one has an irreversible redox process, E pa = 0.78 V, vs. 0.01 M AgNO3/Ag. For the four reversible redox systems, a strong correlation (R 2 = 0.99) is observed between T 1/2 and E pa. Finally, the analogous Ni(ii) helicates have been prepared to obtain Δ o, establishing: (a) the ligand field strength order of the ligands: 4-imidazole (11 420) ∼ 1-methyl-4-imidazole (11 430) < 2-imidazole (11 505) ∼ 4-oxazole (11 516) < 4-thiazole (11 804 cm-1), (b) that Δ o ([NiII 2L3]4+) strongly correlates (R 2 = 0.87) with T 1/2 ([FeII 2L3]4+), and (c) interestingly that Δ o strongly correlates (R 2 = 0.98) with E pa for the four helicates with reversible redox, so the stronger the ligand field strength, the harder it is to oxidise the Fe(ii) to Fe(iii).

Abstract
Pyranopyrazole and its derivatives are classified to be a pharmacologically significant active scaffold for almost all modes of biological activities. In this work, An efficient, green, and facile three-component reaction for preparing pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole derivatives via the condensation reaction of 5-methyl-2-phenyl-2,4-dihydro-3H-pyrazol-3-one, ethyl acetoacetate, and malononitrile in the presence of ZnO Nanoparticle. The products are produced with high yields and in shorter reaction times. It also is mild, safe, green, and environmentally friendly. The geometric parameters such as dipole moment, bond length, dihedral angles, total energy, heat of formation, atomic charges and energies at a highly accurate for prepared compounds were computed by Denisty Functional Theory along with the B3LYP functional. The newly synthesized compounds were screened for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity. Some of the tested compounds displayed promising activities. The newly prepared compounds were found to be potent towards the antioxidant activity. Results indicated that compounds 11 and 12 exhibited significant (p ≥ 0.05) in vitro total antioxidant activity as 44.93 ± 0.15 and 39.60 ± 0.10 U/ML, respectively higher than standard ascorbic acid (29.40 ± 0.62).

Abstract
The synthesis of mixed-ligand complexes is considered an important strategy for developing new metal complexes of enhanced biological activity. This paper presents the synthesis, characterization, in vitro antimicrobial assessment, and theoretical molecular docking evaluation for synthesized oxidovanadium (V) complexes. The proposed structures of the synthesized compounds were proved using elemental and different spectroscopic analysis. The antimicrobial tests showed moderate activity of the compounds against the Gram-positive bacterial strains and the fungal yeast, whereas no activity was observed against the Gram-negative bacterial strains. The performance of density functional theory (DFT) was conducted to study the interaction mode of the targeted compounds with the biological system. Calculating the quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSPR) was performed depending on optimization geometries, frontier molecular orbitals (FMOs), and chemical reactivities for synthesized compounds. The molecular electrostatic potentials (MEPs) that were plotted link the interaction manner of synthesized compounds with the receptor. The molecular docking evaluation revealed that the examined compounds may possess potential antibacterial activity.

Abstract
The structural, spectroscopic and electronic properties of 4-(4-nitrophenyl)-5-(pyridin-3-yl)-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thione have been analyzed by using single crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD), 1H and 13C NMR chemical shifts and FT-IR spectroscopic methods both theoretically and experimentally. The tautomeric (thiol and thione) energetic analysis results, structural optimization parameters (bond lengths and angles), vibrational wavenumbers, proton and carbon NMR chemical shifts, UV-Vis. parameters, the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) analyses and Molecular Electrostatic Potential (MEP) surface have been calculated by using DFT/B3LYP quantum chemical method with 6-311++G(2d,2p) basis set to compare with the experimental results. The computed geometry parameters, vibrational wavenumbers, and NMR chemical shifts have been in good agreement with the experimental results. It should be noted that the radical scavenging activities of the title compound have been evaluated by using different test methods i.e. 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), N,N-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine (DMPD) and 2,2'-azino-bis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonate) (ABTS). According to obtained results, the title compound displayed DPPH (SC50 19.42 ± 0.11 μg/mL), DMPD (SC50 21.13 ± 0.08 μg/mL) and ABTS (SC50 38.17 ± 0.25 μg/mL) scavenging activities. Also, these results have been compared with Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), Rutin (RUT) and Trolox (TRO) used as standard compounds. The physicochemical, pharmacokinetic, and toxicity features of the compound have been determined by using drug-likeness and in silico ADMET investigations. The interaction results with SARS-CoV-2 main protease (Mpro) of the title ligand compound have been analyzed via the help of molecular docking study.Communicated by Ramaswamy H. Sarma.
