Abstract
Glioma is a common central nervous system tumors in children. CMYC has a range of functions that are disrupted in various tumor cells, and may contribute to the occurrence and development of glioma. Two CMYC single nucleotide polymorphisms (rs4645943C > T and rs2070583 A > G) were genotyped in 190 cases and 248 controls from Wenzhou and Guangzhou hospitals. After adjusting for age and sex, odds ratio and 95% confidence interval values were calculated by logistic regression to evaluate the correlation between CMYC gene polymorphisms and glioma risk; no significant associations were detected. These results require future validation in a larger sample cohort.

Abstract
This study aimed to explore the roles of ERCC1/XPF gene polymorphisms in the occurrence of breast cancer in the Uygur and Han ethnic groups in Xinjiang, China. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were detected by TaqMan real‐time PCR. The rs11615 G>A and rs2276466 C>G variant frequencies were higher in Uygur patients with breast cancer than in Han patients, while the frequency of rs2298881 C>A was higher in Han patients. We found that rs2298881 C>A (CA vs. CC: OR = 0.35, 95% CI = 0.20‐0.60; AA vs. CC: OR = 0.13, 95% CI = 0.04‐0.34; CA + AA vs. CC: OR = 0.33, 95% CI = 0.18‐0.51; AA vs. CA + CC: OR = 0.24, 95% CI = 0.08‐0.62; CA vs. AA + CC: OR = 0.49, 95% CI = 0.29‐0.82) was associated with a reduced breast cancer risk and rs3212986 C>A (AA vs. CC: OR = 4.80, 95% CI = 1.79‐15.29,; CA+AA vs. CC: OR = 1.71, 95% CI = 1.06‐2.77; AA vs. CA+CC: OR = 4.12, 95% CI =1.58‐12.89) and rs11615 G > A (AA vs. GG: OR = 3.49, 95% CI =1.54‐8.55; GA + AA vs. GG: OR = 1.98, 95% CI = 1.21‐3.27; AA vs. GA+GG: OR = 2.87, 95% CI = 1.30‐6.85) were associated with an elevated breast cancer risk among Uygur individuals. In addition, Uygur patients with breast cancer with 2‐3 combined risk genotypes of ERCC1 had a higher risk than patients with 0‐1 risk genotypes (OR = 2.91; 95% CI = 1.54‐5.71, p = 0.001). However, we failed to detect a statistically significant association between ERCC1/XPF polymorphisms and breast cancer risk in five genetic models among Han individuals. Our results showed that ERCC1/XPF gene polymorphisms predispose Uygur individuals to breast cancer; this finding should be verified by further large‐scale analyses.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Neuroblastoma is one of the most common malignant tumors in childhood. Polymorphisms in proto-oncogene MYC are implicated in many cancers, although their role in neuroblastoma remains unclear. In the present study, we attempted to investigate the association between MYC gene polymorphisms and neuroblastoma susceptibility in Chinese children. METHODS We included two MYC polymorphisms (rs4645943 and rs2070583) and assessed their effects on neuroblastoma risk in 505 cases and 1070 controls via the Taqman method. RESULTS In single and combined locus analysis, no significant association was found between the two selected polymorphisms and neuroblastoma susceptibility. In stratification analysis, the rs4645943 CT/TT genotypes were significantly associated with a decreased neuroblastoma risk in subjects with tumors originating from other sites [adjusted odds ratio (OR) = 0.42, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 0.21-0.84, p = 0.013]. Meanwhile, the presence of one or two protective genotypes was significantly associated with a decreased neuroblastoma risk in subjects with tumors arising from other sites (adjusted OR = 0.50, 95% CI = 0.26-0.96, p = 0.036). CONCLUSIONS The present study indicates that MYC gene polymorphisms may have a weak effect on the neuroblastoma risk, which neeeds to be verified further.

Abstract
Background Long non‐coding RNA (lncRNA) H19 is involved in the carcinogenesis, progression, and metastasis of colorectal cancer (CRC). Recently, a few studies explored the relationship between lncRNA H19 gene rs2839698 polymorphism and CRC risk, but with conflicting findings. Materials and methods A case‐control study with 315 CRC cases and 441 controls was designed in a Chinese population. Genotyping was performed using PCR‐RFLP. Results It was found rs2839698 polymorphism was associated with a decreased risk of CRC (AA vs GG: OR, 0.73; 95% CI, 0.54‐0.98; P = .037; A vs G: OR, 0.78; 95% CI, 0.63‐0.96; P = .021). Stratified analyses indicated this positive association was also significant in the non‐smokers (AA vs GG: OR, 0.49; 95% CI, 0.25‐0.93; P = .029), non‐drinkers, those aged ≥ 60 years, and overweight individuals (BMI ≥ 24). In addition, rs2839698 polymorphism was also related to the lymph node metastasis (AA vs GG: OR, 0.43; 95% CI, 0.21‐0.88; P = .019) and tumor size (AA vs GG: OR, 0.42; 95% CI, 0.20‐0.88; P = .020) for patients with CRC. Conclusion To sum up, the lncRNA H19 gene rs2839698 polymorphism decreases the risk of CRC in Chinese individuals, especially among the non‐smokers, non‐drinkers, individuals aged ≥ 60 years, and overweight individuals (BMI ≥ 24). Thus, the lncRNA H19 gene rs2839698 polymorphism might be an important biomarker and diagnostic marker for predicting the susceptibility to CRC in Chinese Han population.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Recently, a Japanese study investigated the relationship between insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) gene rs2195239 polymorphism and gastric cancer (GC) risk and found rs2195239 polymorphism did not relate with the risk of GC. However, no Chinese studies have addressed this relationship until now. Thus, the aims of this study were to demonstrate whether IGF-1 gene rs2195239 polymorphism was linked with the risk and clinical features of GC in a Chinese Han population. METHODS In order to verify the link between IGF-1 gene rs2195239 polymorphism and GC risk, we recruited 361 GC cases and 418 controls in this case-control study. The genotyping was done by use of a custom-by-design 48-Plex SNP scan TM Kit. RESULTS This study found that IGF-1 gene rs2195239 polymorphism decreased the risk of GC. Stratified analyses suggested that the significant association was shown in the females, non-smokers, non-drinkers, and age <60 years groups for GC. In addition, IGF-1 gene rs2195239 polymorphism correlated with the tumor size, tumor clinical stage, and pathological types for GC patients. CONCLUSION To sum up, this study shows that IGF-1 gene rs2195239 polymorphism is associated with the risk and clinical features of GC patients in this Chinese population.

Abstract
Programmed death-1 (PD-1) polymorphisms have been associated with esophageal cancer risk. Here, the aims of this case-control study were to explore whether three PD-1 polymorphisms (rs10204525, rs7421861, and rs36084323) were related with the risk and clinical features of esophageal cancer in Chinese Han subjects (n = 814 cases and 961 controls). We found that rs10204525 and rs7421861, but not rs36084323, conferred increased susceptibility to esophageal cancer. Subgroup analysis revealed that all three loci increased the risk of esophageal cancer among men, and that rs10204525 and rs7421861 correlated with increased risk among patients ≥ 60 years old. The rs10204525 and rs7421861 polymorphisms were associated with higher TNM stage, and rs10204525 was associated with distant metastasis. The combination of smoking and either the rs10204525 or rs7421861 genotype conferred an increased risk to esophageal cancer, which is indicative of potential gene-environment interactions. The rs10204525 and rs7421861 polymorphisms correlated with increased PD-1 gene and protein levels, and Kaplan-Meier survival curves showed higher PD-1 gene expression was related to poorer overall survival. These data indicate the rs10204525 and rs7421861 polymorphisms of PD-1 gene confer an increased risk of esophageal cancer among Chinese Han individuals.

Abstract
Neuroblastoma is an extracranial solid tumor that mainly occurs in childhood. Mutations of NRAS gene have been described in several cancers. However, whether NRAS gene polymorphisms can predict the risk of neuroblastoma have not been investigated. We hypothesized that variations of NRAS gene contribute to neuroblastoma predisposition. Therefore, we conducted a multi-center case-control study using 263 cases and 715 controls to examine the association of NRAS gene rs2273267 A>T polymorphism and neuroblastoma risk. We calculated odds ratios (ORs) and corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs) to assess the strength of the associations. Relative to those with AA genotype, subjects with AT/TT genotype had reduced neuroblastoma risk (adjusted OR = 0.72, 95% CI = 0.54-0.96, P = 0.024). Stratified analysis revealed that rs2273267 AT/TT carriers were less likely to develop neuroblastoma for patients with tumor originating from the adrenal gland (adjusted OR = 0.67, 95% CI = 0.45-0.99, P = 0.047) and clinical stages III + IV (adjusted OR = 0.57, 95% CI = 0.36-0.90, P = 0.015). Our findings underline the likely importance of NRAS gene rs2273267 A>T in the risk of neuroblastoma. Further independent case-control studies with functional analysis are needed to verify the role of NRAS gene rs2273267 A>T polymorphism in the risk of neuroblastoma.

Abstract
Neuroblastoma ranks the most common seen solid tumour in childhood. Overexpression of LIN28A gene has been linked to the development of multiple human malignancies, but the relationship between LIN28A single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and neuroblastoma susceptibility is still under debate. Herein, we evaluated the correlation of four potentially functional LIN28A SNPs (rs3811464 G>A, rs3811463 T>C, rs34787247 G>A, and rs11247957 G>A) and neuroblastoma susceptibility in 505 neuroblastoma patients and 1070 controls from four independent hospitals in China. The correlation strengths were determined by using odds ratios (ORs) and corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Among these SNPs, rs34787247 G>A exhibited a significant association with increased susceptibility in neuroblastoma (GA vs GG: adjusted OR = 1.30, 95% CI = 1.03-1.64; AA vs GG: adjusted OR = 2.51, 95% CI = 1.36-4.64, AA/GA vs GG: adjusted OR = 1.42, 95% CI = 1.12-1.80, AA vs GG/GA: adjusted OR = 2.39, 95% CI = 1.29-4.42). Furthermore, the combined analysis of risk genotypes revealed that subjects carrying three risk genotypes (adjusted OR = 1.64, 95% CI = 1.02-2.63) are more inclined to develop neuroblastoma than those without risk genotype, and so do carriers of 1-4 risk genotypes (adjusted OR = 1.26, 95% CI = 1.01-1.56). Stratification analysis further revealed risk effect of rs3811464 G>A, rs34787247 G>A and 1-4 risk genotypes in some subgroups. Haplotype analysis of these four SNPs yields two haplotypes significantly correlated with increased neuroblastoma susceptibility. Overall, our finding indicated that LIN28A SNPs, especially rs34787247 G>A, may increase neuroblastoma risk.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Neuroblastoma, mainly affecting children, is a lethal malignancy arising from the developing sympathetic nervous system. The genetic etiology of neuroblastoma remains mostly obscure. High mobility group AT-hook 2 (HMGA2), an oncogenic gene, is up-regulated in many tumors. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) often modify cancer susceptibility. However, no studies are investigating the association between HMGA2 SNPs and neuroblastoma susceptibility. METHODS We conducted a four-center case-control study to evaluate the association between three HMGA2 polymorphisms (rs6581658 A>G, rs8756 A>C and rs968697 T>C) and neuroblastoma susceptibility in a Chinese population with 505 cases and 1070 controls. Logistic regression was performed to evaluate the strength of the association. RESULTS We found that the rs8756 AC/CC genotypes were associated with a reduced neuroblastoma risk when compared to rs8756 AA genotype [Adjusted odds ratio (OR)=0.74, 95% confidence interval (CI)=0.56-0.99, P=0.039]. Carriers with 3 protective genotypes have lower neuroblastoma susceptibility than those without or with 0-2 protective genotypes. The stratified analysis revealed that the protective effects of rs8756 AC/CC genotypes were more predominant among children of age > 18 months, males, and subgroups with the tumor in the mediastinum. Furthermore, haplotype analysis uncovered that haplotype ACC significantly reduced neuroblastoma risk. CONCLUSION Our study indicated HMGA2 rs8756 A>C polymorphism is significantly associated with decreased neuroblastoma risk.

Abstract
Accumulating evidence suggests that dysregulation of the DNA non-homologous end-joining (NHEJ) repair system is a causative factor in many cancers, including high-risk neuroblastoma. A number of studies have shown that polymorphisms in the DNA ligase III (LIG3) gene, one of the key genes in the error-prone alternative NHEJ (a-NHEJ) pathway for DNA double-strand break (DSB) repair, are associated with a variety of cancers. Nevertheless, whether LIG3 polymorphisms contribute to neuroblastoma risk remains unknown. We investigated the correlation between neuroblastoma susceptibility and two LIG3 polymorphisms (rs1052536 C>T and rs4796030 A>C) among 469 neuroblastoma patients and 998 healthy controls from China. Our results failed to detect any relationship between the analyzed SNPs and neuroblastoma risk in either overall analysis or stratification analysis. These results suggest that rs1052536 C>T and rs4796030 A>C are unrelated to neuroblastoma susceptibility in the Chinese population. Further studies with larger sample sizes and multiple ethnicities are necessary to verify our results.

Abstract
Neuroblastoma is a pediatric malignancy arising from the developing peripheral nervous system. p53 and downstream effector miR-34b/c have critical tumor suppressing functions. TP53 Arg72Pro (rs1042522 C > G) and miR-34b/c rs4938723 (T > C) polymorphisms have been known to modify cancer susceptibility. This study was performed to validate the association of these two polymorphisms and neuroblastoma risk with 819 cases and 1780 controls. Odds ratios (ORs) and corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to assess the strength of the associations. False positive report possibility analysis was adopted to dissect out real significant associations from chance findings. We found that both TP53 Arg72Pro (CG/GG vs. CC: adjusted OR = 0.82, 95% CI = 0.69-0.98) and miR-34b/c rs4938723 (TC/CC vs. TT: adjusted OR = 0.64, 95% CI = 0.54-0.75) were associated with decreased neuroblastoma susceptibility. Stratify analyses further confirmed the protective effect among some subgroups. Moreover, subjects with variant alleles of both polymorphisms were associated with more significantly decreased neuroblastoma risk (CG/TC vs. CC/TT: adjusted OR = 0.38, 95% CI = 0.28-0.50; GG/TC vs. CC/TT: adjusted OR = 0.43, 95% CI = 0.30-0.63) than those carrying variant allele of either one polymorphism (CC/TC vs. CC/TT: adjusted OR = 0.51, 95% CI = 0.37-0.69; CG/TT vs. CC/TT: adjusted OR = 0.71, 95% CI = 0.55-0.92), suggesting cumulative effects of the polymorphisms. False positive report possibility analysis further verified that our findings are noteworthy. Overall, we confirmed that miR-34b/c rs4938723 and TP53 Arg72Pro conferred decreased neuroblastoma risk and two polymorphisms exerted stronger protective effects against neuroblastoma than either one alone.

Abstract
Wilms tumour is a renal malignancy that commonly occurs in children. LIN28A gene overexpression has been reported to be involved in various human malignancies, while its roles in Wilms tumour risk are still under investigation. Here, we genotyped four LIN28A polymorphisms in 355 Wilms tumour patients and 1070 healthy controls from four hospitals in China. The genotyped single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) include the following: rs3811464 G>A, rs3811463 T>C, rs34787247 G>A and rs11247957 G>A. Overall, we found that rs3811463 T>C and rs34787247 G>A were associated with increased risk of Wilms tumour. Combination analysis of risk genotypes showed that, compared to non-carriers, subjects with 1 risk genotype and 1-3 risk genotypes were more likely to develop Wilms tumour, with an adjusted odds ratio (OR) of 1.58 and 1.56, respectively. Stratified analysis further demonstrated that the risk effect remained prominent in some subgroups. We also found that presence of 1-3 risk genotypes was associated with Wilms tumour risk in subgroups > 18 months of age, females, males and those with clinical stage I + II diseases. Furthermore, expression quantitative trait locus (eQTL) analysis indicated that rs3811463 C allele was significantly associated with increased transcripts of LIN28A gene. These findings suggest that LIN28A gene polymorphisms may be associated with increased predisposition to Wilms tumour.

Abstract
Neuroblastoma is a pediatric cancer of embryonic origin from neural crest cells. Neuroblastoma has a great medical and social impact because it is occurring with major frequency in pre-scholar age with metastatic disease showing less than 40% of survival at 5-years. In children, metastatic neuroblastoma has very few recurrent mutations but several chromosome structural copy variations. The tumorigenesis of neuroblastoma is still largely unknown; however recently, genomic wide association studies have shown that several gene allelic variants are associated with neuroblastoma predisposition. Many of these gene variants are related to maintaining the chromatin and mitosis integrity. In the present report, I suggest that neuroblastoma predisposing alleles may match by chance influencing the chromatin structure already during the early phases of embryonic life and inducing chromosome instability and structural damages.

Abstract
Neuroblastoma is the most frequently diagnosed neural tumor of childhood. Abnormal function of the long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA) LINC00673 has been implicated in various human malignancies. Genome-wide association studies revealed the LINC00673 rs11655237 C>T polymorphism to be associated with the risk of neuroblastoma, though the effect was not well defined, in part due to the small sample size in our earlier study. Herein, we verified the impact of LINC00673 rs11655237 C>T on the risk of neuroblastoma in 700 cases and 1516 controls from six centers in China. After pooling all enrolled patients, we observed a significant association between LINC00673 rs11655237 C>T and risk of neuroblastoma (TT vs. CC: adjusted odds ratio [OR]=1.58, 95% confidence interval [CI]=1.06-2.35, P=0.024; additive model: adjusted OR=1.20, 95% CI=1.03-1.39, P=0.020; recessive model: adjusted OR=1.50, 95% CI=1.02-2.22, P=0.040). Stratification analysis revealed a significant relationship between rs11655237 CT/TT and neuroblastoma risk in subgroups of males, patients whose tumor originated in the adrenal gland, and patients with clinical stage IV disease. These findings add new evidence of the importance of LINC00673 rs11655237 C>T to the risk of developing neuroblastoma.

Abstract
Hirschsprung disease (HSCR) is a heterogeneous congenital disorder that affects the enteric nervous system, while neuroblastoma is an embryonal tumor of the sympathetic nervous system. Familial cases of both HSCR and neuroblastoma appear to be functionally linked to PHOX2B, which plays a key role in the development of neural crest derivatives. However, the association between common PHOX2B variants and disease risk is contested. Additionally, large-scale examination for pleiotropy or shared genetic susceptibility in sporadic HSCR and neuroblastoma cases lacks theoretical support. Here, we report the first examination of PHOX2B in 1470 HSCR and 469 neuroblastoma patients with matched healthy controls. The PHOX2B rs28647582 polymorphism was found to be associated with HSCR (P = 2.21E-03, OR = 1.26), and each subtype of the ailment (3.22E-03 ≤ P ≤ 0.43, 1.11 ≤ OR ≤ 2.32). The association between rs28647582 and NB risk was consistent with HSCR in a recessive model, though the P value was marginal (P = 0.06). These new genetic findings indicate the potential pleiotropic effects of PHOX2B in both HSCR and neuroblastoma, which could guide the development of therapeutic targets for the treatment of related neurodevelopmental disorders.

Abstract
Wilms tumor is the most common renal malignancy that occurs in children. TP53 gene is considered as a tumor-suppressing gene through controlling cell growth. TP53 gene rs1042522 C>G (Arg72Pro) polymorphism is widely investigated in various types of cancers. However, it is not established if TP53 rs1042522 C>G polymorphism is a candidate variant for Wilms tumor risk. The aim of the study was to determine whether TP53 rs1042522 C>G polymorphism is responsible for the risk of Wilms tumor in Chinese children. All subjects (355 cases and 1070 controls) from four centers of China were genotyped for rs1042522 C>G polymorphism. The effect of rs1042522 C>G polymorphism on Wilms tumor prevalence was analyzed using logistic regression models. We failed to detect a significant relationship between rs1042522 C>G polymorphism and Wilms tumor risk. Further stratification analysis also could not detect a significant relationship. We conclude that TP53 rs1042522 C>G polymorphism might not have enough impact on the risk of Wilms tumor. More validation study with larger sample size will be required to better define the role of TP53 rs1042522 C>G polymorphism in Wilms tumor risk.

Abstract
Neuroblastoma is a life-threatening extracranial solid tumor, preferentially occurring in children. However, its etiology remains unclear. APEX1 is a critical gene in the base excision repair (BER) system responsible for maintaining genome stability. Given the potential effects of APEX1 polymorphisms on the ability of the DNA damage repair, many studies have investigated the association between these variants and susceptibility to several types of cancer but not neuroblastoma. Here, we conducted a three-center case-control study to evaluate the association between APEX1 polymorphisms (rs1130409 T>G, rs1760944 T>G, and rs3136817 T>C) and neuroblastoma risk in Chinese children, consisting of 469 cases and 998 controls. Odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated to evaluate the associations. No significant association with neuroblastoma risk was found for the studied APEX1 polymorphisms in the single locus or combination analysis. Interestingly, stratified analysis showed that rs1130409 GG genotype significantly reduced the risk of tumor in males. Furthermore, we found that carriers with 1-3 protective genotypes had a lower neuroblastoma risk in the children older than18 months and male, when compared to those without protective genotypes. In summary, our data indicate that APEX1 gene polymorphisms may have a weak effect on neuroblastoma susceptibility. These findings should be further validated by well-designed studies with larger sample size.

Abstract
Neuroblastoma is the most common seen solid tumor in children less than one year old. Given that polymorphisms in the lncRNA H19 gene are observed in several types of human malignancies, there likely to be similar events that contribute to the pathogenesis of neuroblastoma. We hypothesize that single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the H19 gene might predispose to neuroblastoma. Here, we genotyped three SNPs (rs2839698 G>A, rs3024270 C>G, rs217727 G>A) from H19 gene in a Chinese population (700 subjects with neuroblastoma and 1516 control subjects) enrolled from six hospitals and examined the effect of individual and combined SNPs on the risk of neuroblastoma. Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) calculated from logistic regression were adopted to assess such association, adjusted for age and gender. Among them, 700 controls and 1514 cases were successfully genotyped. None of these three SNPs were found to be relevant to the risk of neuroblastoma, either in overall analysis or stratification analysis. Findings from this study excluded the participation of lncRNA H19 gene SNPs in the risk of neuroblastoma. More independent case-control studies are encouraged to better elucidate this relationship.

Abstract
Neuroblastoma is a heterogeneous cancer frequently occurring in childhood. Germline mutations of PARP1 oncogene are implicated in several types of cancer. However, whether common single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in PARP1 gene are associated with neuroblastoma risk has received relatively few attentions. In this multi-center study, we aimed to elucidate the contributing role of PARP1 SNPs in neuroblastoma risk. We successfully genotyped three potentially functional PARP1 SNPs (rs1136410 A>G, rs2666428 T>C, rs8679 A>G) in 469 neuroblastoma cases and 998 controls. We did not detect any significant association between the analyzed SNPs and neuroblastoma risk in single SNP analysis. However, stratified analysis revealed that rs1136410 AG/GG carriers were more likely to develop tumors arising from mediastinum (AG/GG vs. AA: adjusted OR=1.65, 95% CI=1.06-2.56, P=0.028). Moreover, rs2666428 TC/CC carriers were at significantly lower risk to develop tumors from "other sites" (TC/CC vs. TT: adjusted OR=0.44, 95% CI=0.20-0.96, P=0.040). Our findings failed to provide evidence of the conferring role of the PARP1 gene polymorphisms in the risk of neuroblastoma. Further investigations of the association between PARP1 gene SNPs and neuroblastoma risk are warranted.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Neuroblastoma is one of the most common extracranial solid pediatric tumors. KRAS plays an important role in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in KRAS have been shown to modify susceptibility to multiple tumors, but no specific molecular epidemiology study was reported regarding neuroblastoma. METHODS We conducted a four-center case-control study to explore the association between KRAS gene polymorphisms (rs12587 G>T, rs7973450 A>G, rs7312175 G>A) and neuroblastoma susceptibility with 505 Chinese children and 1070 matched controls. RESULTS We found that rs7973450 A>G was associated with significantly increased neuroblastoma risk [GG vs. AA: adjusted odds ratio (OR)=4.26, 95% confidence interval (CI)=1.28-14.19, P=0.018; GG vs. AA/AG: adjusted OR=4.27, 95% CI=1.28-14.24, P=0.018]. The stratified analysis further demonstrated that rs7973450 GG genotype carriers had a higher risk to develop neuroblastoma in the subgroups of males, tumor originated from the adrenal gland and clinical stages III+IV. CONCLUSIONS Overall, our results suggested that rs7973450 A>G was associated with increased neuroblastoma risk.
