Abstract
Metal-boron triple bonds are rare due to the electron deficiency of boron. This study uncovers a simple electron-precise metal boryne complex, [BiBH]-, which is produced within an ion trap through chemical reactions of the open-shell BiB- anion with H2. Photoelectron imaging is used to investigate the electronic structure and chemical bonding of the BiBH- complex. The B atom in the linear closed-shell BiBH- is found to undergo sp hybridization, forming a B-H single bond and a BiB triple bond. Photoelectron imaging reveals three detachment transitions from the BiBH- (1Σ+) anion to the neutral BiBH, including the ground state (2Π3/2) and two excited states (2Σ+ and 2Π1/2). Strong vibronic coupling is observed between the 2Π3/2 and 2Σ+ states, evidenced by the appearance of bending vibrations and their unique photoelectron angular distributions. The BiBH- complex not only stands as the simplest metal boryne complex, but also serves as an ideal molecular system to investigate both spin-orbit and vibronic couplings.

Abstract
We report a study on the electronic structure and chemical bonding of the BiB molecule using high-resolution photoelectron imaging of cryogenically cooled BiB- anion. By eliminating all the vibrational hot bands, we can resolve the complicated detachment transitions due to the open-shell nature of BiB and the strong spin-orbit coupling. The electron affinity of BiB is measured to be 2.010(1) eV. The ground state of BiB- is determined to be 2Π(3/2) with a σ2π3 valence electron configuration, while the ground state of BiB is found to be 3Σ-(0+) with a σ2π2 electron configuration. Eight low-lying spin-orbit excited states [3Σ-(1), 1Δ(2), 1Σ+(0+), 3Π(2), 3Π(1), 1Π(1)], including two forbidden transitions, [3Π(0-) and 3Π(0+)], are observed for BiB as a result of electron detachment from the σ and π orbitals of BiB-. The angular distribution information from the photoelectron imaging is found to be critical to distinguish detachment transitions from the σ or π orbital for the spectral assignment. This study provides a wealth of information about the low-lying electronic states and spin-orbit coupling of BiB, demonstrating the importance of cryogenic cooling for obtaining well-resolved photoelectron spectra for size-selected clusters produced from a laser vaporization cluster source.

Abstract
The advent of ion traps as cooling devices has revolutionized ion spectroscopy as it is now possible to efficiently cool ions vibrationally and rotationally to levels where truly high-resolution experiments are now feasible. Here we report the first results of a new experimental apparatus that couples a cryogenic 3D Paul trap with a laser vaporization cluster source for high-resolution photoelectron imaging of cold cluster anions. We have demonstrated the ability of the new apparatus to efficiently cool BiO- and BiO2- to minimize vibrational hot bands and allow high-resolution photoelectron images to be obtained. The electron affinities of BiO and BiO2 are measured accurately for the first time to be 1.492(1) and 3.281(1) eV, respectively. Vibrational frequencies for the ground states of BiO and BiO2 are reported, as well as those for the anions determined from temperature-dependent studies.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the relationship between micropapillary patten, cribriform pattern and retraction clefting of HPV associated endocervical adenocarcinoma and Silva classification and prognosis; and to validate the application and clinical significance of Silva system in endocervical adenocarcinoma. Methods: Cases of endocervical adenocarcinoma from January 2009 to November 2017 were selected from the Second Hospital of Jilin University and followed up. The morphologic characteristics of Silva classification, micropapillary patten, cribriform pattern and retraction clefting were observed and recorded. Inferential analysis was performed to compare clinicopathological variables data between pattern subgroups. Results: The study included 120 patients (ranging from 26 to 73 years) with an average age of (48.0±9.1)years. Silva A, B and C accounted for 9.2% (11/120), 18.3% (22/120) and 72.5% (87/120), respectively. Cases with micropapillary pattern accounted for 25.8%(31/120), of which six cases were Silva B and 25 cases were Silva C. Cases with cribriform pattern accounted for 53.3%(64/120), including three cases of Silva A, 17 cases of Silva B and 44 cases of Silva C. Retraction clefting occurred in 28.3%(34/120) cases, all were Silva C. The three morphologic features were associated with lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). Univariate analysis showed that micropapillary pattern was related to prognosis of endocervical carcinoma (P<0.05), while cribriform pattern, retraction clefting and Silva classification showed no correlation with overall survival and disease-free survival. Conclusions: The suggestion is revising the Silva C criteria by adding papillary patten and retraction clefting as factors and expanding the Silva pattern system to include more histologic variants. The Silva system is helpful to select appropriate operation before surgery, but its prognostic value requires further evaluation.

Abstract
Objective: To summarize the etiologies of bilateral adrenal lesions and the changes of the disease profile in hospitalized patients. Methods: Bilateral adrenal lesion screening was conducted in all patients admitted to Peking University Third Hospital from 1994 to 2017. The etiologies and disease profiles of bilateral adrenal lesions were retrospectively analyzed. Results: A total of 260 patients with bilateral adrenal lesions were included in the study. There were 146 males and 114 females with a mean age of (55.4±16.2) years. The most common adrenal lesion was bilateral adrenal hyperplasia (75 cases, 28.8%), followed by bilateral adrenal adenomas (71 cases, 27.3%), metastatic carcinoma (51 cases, 19.6%), discordant bilateral adrenal lesions (27 cases, 10.4%), bilateral pheochromocytomas (13 cases, 5.0%), and others. The clear data of endocrine function evaluation could be found in 184 patients. Among them, 111 cases (60.3%) were nonfunctioning lessions, 34 cases (18.5%) with primary aldosteronism, 15 cases (8.1%) with pheochromocytoma, 13 cases (7.1%) with congenital adrenal hyperplasia, 6 cases (3.3%) with primary hypoadrenocorticism, and 5 cases (2.7%) with Cushing syndrome. Using every 8 years as a period of time, the number of hospitalized patients with bilateral adrenal lesions increased with years in three periods (8, 41 and 211 cases, respectively). Conclusions: The most common cause of bilateral adrenal lesions is adrenal hyperplasia in the hospitalized patients. More than half of bilateral adrenal lesions are nonfunctioning. In functional bilateral lesions, primary aldosteronism and pheochromocytoma account for a large proportion.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of transplantation of marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) transfected with insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) on fracture healing of rats with diabetes and discuss the gene therapy for diabetic fracture. METHODS 60 8-week-old male Wistar rats weighing 180-200 g were divided into the control group and experimental group at random. All of them suffered from right tibia fracture following the model of diabetes induced by streptozotocin. BMSCs were transfected with Ad- IGF-1 and BMSCs of the appropriate group were transplanted to part of the fracture area. 6 rats were selected from each group at 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7 weeks after the surgery. Local bone callus was stained with hematoxylin-eosin (H-E) and IGF-1 in the bone callus and serum was tested. RESULTS Osteoid tissues formed at 3 weeks in the experimental group; mature lamellar bone formed at 7 weeks in the experimental group; fibrous bone callus was observed in the control group. IGF-1 in bone callus of the experimental group is increasing and significantly different from that of the control group (p < 0.05). Concentrations of IGF-1 in the serum of the two groups were increasing gradually from the first week. The control group reached its peak in the 5th week. The experimental group reached a high concentration in the 5th week and maintained a high concentration in the 7th week. The differences at various times between the two groups have statistical significance (p < 0.05). CONCLUSION Transplantation of BMSCs transfected with IGF-1 gene can promote fracture healing of rats with diabetes (Tab. 4, Fig. 1, Ref. 20).

Abstract
BACKGROUND To describe sequential changes in Merkel cells (MC), and CD10(+) and CD34(+) stromal cells (SC) during the transition from benign to malignant oral lesions and correlate with clinicopathologic parameters. MATERIALS AND METHODS Changes in cytokeratin 20-positive (CK20(+)) Merkel cells, CD10(+) and CD34(+) SC were immunohistochemically examined in specimens of 28 oral verrucous carcinomas (VC), 32 squamous cell carcinomas (SCC) and 36 benign squamous lesions (BSL). Immunoreactivity and localized inflammation were measured quantitatively and/or semiquantitatively, and between-group results were statistically compared. RESULTS The mean number of CD34(+) SC was significantly lower in VC (57.36) and SCC (33.81) than BSL (351.56, P < 0.001). However, the three tumor types had similar staining level and number of CD10(+) SC. We found a significant difference in the density of MC between BSL and VC (P < 0.001) or SCC (P < 0.001). The number of CK20(+) MC was significantly lower in highly inflamed specimens than mildly inflamed specimens (P = 0.001). CONCLUSION CD34(+) SC and to a lesser extent MC, but not CD10(+) SC, reveal statistically different density during the transition from benign to malignant oral lesions. The correlations between the CD34(+) SC expression and squamous lesions may be associated with epithelial dysplasia and/or tumor invasion.

Abstract
Malar or discoid rash is the most frequent specific cutaneous lesion for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Neutrophilic dermatosis as an initial presentation in SLE is unusual. We describe a 38-year old female patient who primarily suffered from erythematous tender plaques and fever. Examination of skin biopsy of the plaques showed dense neutrophilic infiltration in the dermis. Polyarthritis, heavy proteinuria, photosensitivity and positive antinuclear antibodies (ANA > 1:1280) concluded the diagnosis of SLE. The plaques disappeared completely after treatment with systemic corticosteroids. To our knowledge, this is the first reported SLE patient with Sweet's syndrome as the initial presentation in literature review.

Abstract
Carcinoid tumors are uncommon tumors of the neuroendocrine system. They grow slowly and may remain silent for years before presenting with carcinoid syndrome. A diagnosis of asymptomatic carcinoid tumor is difficult. Wide resection of the primary tumor and metastatic lesions is the first choice of treatment. Primary carcinoid is sometimes distributed throughout the entire body, but it is rare in the spleen. We herein present a rare case of a symptomless carcinoid tumor that predominantly invaded the spleen with liver metastasis.

Abstract
We report a case of synovial chondroma of the left ankle in an 11-year-old boy presenting with soft tissue swelling after recent trauma. The noncalcified or nonossified intraarticular chondroma arising from metaplastic synovium has characteristic imaging appearance on computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). A lobulated mass of fluid-like density and signal intensity along with internal septa are characteristic features on CT and MRI. The knowledge of CT and MRI features of noncalcified or nonossified synovial chondroma is important to distinguish from the simple or complicated effusion, hemarthrosis, or other synovial process.

Abstract
A microphase adsorption-spectral correction (MPASC) technique was established, which consists of Langmuir adsorption and the spectral correction technique. The hypothesis of a microelectric field formed in macromolecules is proposed, the existence of which results in the adsorption and aggregation of dye molecules in macromolecules. This paper describes the spectrophotometric analysis of protein solution with p-iodochlorophosphonazo (p-ICPA) dye. The results showed that the adsorption ratios of p-ICPA to proteins (bovine serum albumin, ovalbumin, myoglobin and gamma-globulin) at pH 2.56 were 54, 25, 14 and 90, respectively, their adsorption constants 2.86 x 10(5), 1.42 x 10(6), 2.38 x 10(5) and 1.09 x 10(5) and their absorptivities 8.00 x 10(5), 4.02 x 10(5), 1.77 x 10(5) and 1.15 x 10(6) l mol-1 cm-1 at 620 nm. The analysis of practical samples showed that the recovery of protein was between 92.3 and 108% and the relative standard deviation was 4.7%.

Abstract
A new analytical method is described for the simultaneous determination of various components by multiwavelength spectrophotometry. Because of the influence of the free ligand and various complexes on spectrophotometric absorption, the spectral correction principle was used to establish the calculation matrix formula. The 3 sensitive reactions of Cu(II), Fe(II), and Zn(II), with 1-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol-6-sulfonic acid were studied at pH 10.5. In analyses of fortified samples, the recoveries of Fe, Zn, and Cu were between 93.0 and 103%, 87.0 and 108%, and 92.5 and 108%, respectively; the relative standard deviations for 5 determinations of Fe, Zn, and Cu in unfortified ore were 3.6, 5.8, and 4.5%, respectively.

Abstract
Determination of the mercury complex formed with Thiomicher's ketone (TMK) was improved by beta-correction spectrophotometry in the presence of a nonionic surfactant at pH 5. The complex formed was Hg(TMK)2, and its true molar absorptivity is reported for the first time: epsilon Hg(TMK)2(560) = 1.04 x 10(5) L/mol.cm. In addition, the stability constant of Hg(TMK)2 was equal to 3.64 x 10(10) at an ion strength of 0.01 at 20 degrees C. Results from analyses of wastewater samples showed that the relative standard deviations were < or = 8.3%, and the recoveries of mercury ranged from 90 to 110%.
