Abstract
PURPOSE Although targeted biopsies (TBx) are associated with improved disease assessment, concerns have been raised regarding the risk of prostate cancer (PCa) overgrading due to more accurate biopsy core deployment in the index lesion. METHODS We identified 1672 patients treated with radical prostatectomy (RP) with a positive mpMRI and ISUP ≥ 2 PCa detected via systematic biopsy (SBx) plus TBx. We compared downgrading rates at RP (ISUP 4-5, 3, and 2 at biopsy, to a lower ISUP) for PCa detected via SBx only (group 1), via TBx only (group 2), and eventually for PCa detected with the same ISUP 2-5 at both SBx and TBx (group 3), using multivariable logistic regression models (MVA). RESULTS Overall, 12 vs 14 vs 6% (n = 176 vs 227 vs 96) downgrading rates were recorded in group 1 vs group 2 vs group 3, respectively (p < 0.001). At MVA, group 2 was more likely to be downgraded (OR 1.26, p = 0.04), as compared to group 1. Conversely, group 3 was less likely to be downgraded at RP (OR 0.42, p < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS Downgrading rates are highest when PCa is present in TBx only and, especially when the highest grade PCa is diagnosed by TBx cores only. Conversely, downgrading rates are lowest when PCa is identified with the same ISUP through both SBx and TBx. The presence of clinically significant disease at SBx + TBx may indicate a more reliable assessment of the disease at the time of biopsy potentially reducing the risk of downgrading at final pathology.

Abstract
Regenerating tissues similar to dental structure with normal function are putatively to be the aim in tooth regeneration filed. Currently, researchers preliminarily achieved tooth regeneration by applying dental pulp stem cell (DPSC) and stem cell from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED). However, the regeneration efficiency remains unstable and needs further investigation. The development of single-cell RNA sequencing and organoid culture system provide potential of precise, targeted and controllable functional regeneration. This article reviews the current state of DPSC/SHED on tooth regeneration, and analyzes characteristics and hotspots of them, aiming to shed light on clinical translational application of stable and efficient tooth regeneration.

Abstract
AIM To investigate differences in iron deposition between infarct and normal cerebral arterial regions in acute ischaemic stroke (AIS) patients using quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM). MATERIALS AND METHODS Forty healthy controls and 40 AIS patients were recruited, and their QSM images were obtained. There were seven regions of interest (ROIs) in AIS patients, including the infarct regions of responsible arteries (R1), the non-infarct regions of responsible arteries (R2), the contralateral symmetrical sites of lesions (R3), and the non-responsible cerebral arterial regions (R4, R5, R6, R7). For the healthy controls, the cerebral arterial regions corresponding to the AIS patient group were selected as ROIs. The differences in corresponding ROI susceptibilities between AIS patients and healthy controls and the differences in susceptibilities between infarcted and non-infarct regions in AIS patients were compared. RESULTS The susceptibilities of infarct regions in AIS patients were significantly higher than those in healthy controls (p<0.0001). There was no significant difference in non-infarct regions between the two groups (p>0.05). The susceptibility of the infarct regions in AIS patients was significantly higher than those of the non-infarct region of responsible artery and non-responsible cerebral arterial regions (p<0.01). CONCLUSIONS Abnormal iron deposition detected by QSM in the infarct regions of AIS patients may not affect iron levels in the non-infarct regions of responsible arteries and normal cerebral arteries, which may open the door for potential new diagnostic and treatment strategies.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Cholestatic liver disease is a leading referral to pediatric liver transplant centers. Inherited disorders are the second most frequent cause of cholestasis in the first month of life. METHODS We retrospectively characterized the genotype and phenotype of 166 participants with intrahepatic cholestasis, and re-analyzed phenotype and whole-exome sequencing (WES) data from patients with previously undetermined genetic etiology for newly published genes and novel candidates. Functional validations of selected variants were conducted in cultured cells. RESULTS Overall, we identified disease-causing variants in 31% (52/166) of our study participants. Of the 52 individuals, 18 (35%) had metabolic liver diseases, 9 (17%) had syndromic cholestasis, 9 (17%) had progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis, 3 (6%) had bile acid synthesis defects, 3(6%) had infantile liver failure and 10 (19%) had a phenocopy of intrahepatic cholestasis. By reverse phenotyping, we identified a de novo variant c.1883G > A in FAM111B of a case with high glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) cholestasis. By re-analyzing WES data, two patients were newly solved, who had compound heterozygous variants in recently published genes KIF12 and USP53, respectively. Our additional search for novel candidates in unsolved WES families revealed four potential novel candidate genes (NCOA6, CCDC88B, USP24 and ATP11C), among which the patients with variants in NCOA6 and ATP11C recapitulate the cholestasis phenotype in mice models. CONCLUSIONS In a single-center pediatric cohort, we identified monogenic variants in 22 known human intrahepatic cholestasis or phenocopy genes, explaining up to 31% of the intrahepatic cholestasis patients. Our findings suggest that re-evaluating existing WES data from well-phenotyped patients on a regular basis can increase the diagnostic yield for cholestatic liver disease in children.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Biallelic pathogenic variants in PIP5K1C (MIM #606,102) lead to lethal congenital contractural syndrome 3 (LCCS3, MIM #611,369), a rare autosomal recessive genetic disorder characterized by small gestational age, severe multiple joint contractures and muscle atrophy, early death due to respiratory failure. Currently, 5 individuals with LCCS3 were reported and 5 pathogenic variants in PIP5K1C were identified. Here, we reported the two fetuses in a Chinese pedigree who displayed multiple joint contractures and other congenital anomalies. METHODS Trio-based whole-exome sequencing (WES) was performed for the parents and the recent fetus to detect the genetic cause for fetus phenotype. RESULTS A novel variant, NM_012398.3: c.949_952dup, p.S318Ifs*28 and a previously reported variant, c.688_689del, p.G230Qfs*114 (ClinVar database) in PIP5K1C, were detected in the individuals, and these variants were inherited from the mother and father, respectively. We described the features of multiple joint contractures in our fetuses, including bilateral talipes equinovarus, stiffness in the limbs, extended knees, persistently closed hands and overlapping fingers, which have not been delineated detailedly in previously reported LCCS3 individuals. Furthermore, novel phenotype, bilateral dilated lateral ventricles, was revealed in one fetus. CONCLUSIONS These findings expanded the genetic variant spectrum of PIP5K1C and enriched the clinical features of LCCS3, which will help with the prenatal diagnosis and genetic counseling for this family.

Abstract
AIM To evaluate the effect of subgingival delivery of progranulin (PGRN)/gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) complex as an adjunct to scaling and root planing (SRP) on an experimental periodontitis dog model with Class II furcation involvement (FI). MATERIALS AND METHODS A Class II FI model was established, and the defects were divided into four treatment groups: (a) no treatment (control); (b) SRP; (c) SRP + GelMA; (d) SRP + PGRN/GelMA. Eight weeks after treatment, periodontal parameters were recorded, gingival crevicular fluid and gingival tissue were collected for ELISA and RT-qPCR, respectively, and mandibular tissue blocks were collected for micro computed tomography (micro-CT) scanning and hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining. RESULTS The SRP + PGRN/GelMA group showed significant improvement in all periodontal parameters compared with those in the other groups. The expression of markers related to M1 macrophage and Th17 cell significantly decreased, and the expression of markers related to M2 macrophage and Treg cell significantly increased in the SRP + PGRN/GelMA group compared with those in the other groups. The volume, quality and area of new bone and the length of new cementum in the root furcation defects of the PGRN/GelMA group were significantly increased compared to those in the other groups. CONCLUSIONS Subgingival delivery of the PGRN/GelMA complex could be a promising non-surgical adjunctive therapy for anti-inflammation, immunomodulation and periodontal regeneration.

Abstract
The contact and pull-off tests and finite element simulations were used to study the extraocular muscle-sclera adhesion and its variation with eye movement in this research. The effect of the adhesion on the eye movements was also determined using equilibrium equations of eye motion. The contact and pull-off tests were performed using quasi-static and non-quasi-static unloading velocities. Finite element models were developed to simulate these tests in cases with high unloading velocity which could not be achieved experimentally. These velocities range from the eye's fixation to saccade movement. The tests confirmed that the pull-off force is related to the unloading velocity. As the unloading velocity increases, the pull-off force increases, with an insignificant increase at the high ocular saccade velocities. The adhesion moment between the extraocular muscles and the sclera exhibited the same trend, increasing with higher eye movement velocities and higher separation angles between the two interfaces. The adhesion moment ratio to the total moment was calculated by the traditional model and the active pulley model of eye movements to assess the effect of adhesion behavior on eye movements. At the high ocular saccade velocities (about 461 deg/s), the adhesion moment was found to be 0.53% and 0.50% of the total moment based on the traditional and active pulley models, respectively. The results suggest that the adhesion behavior between the extraocular muscles and the sclera has a negligible effect on eye movements. At the same time, this adhesion behavior can be ignored in eye modeling, which simplifies the model reasonably well. STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE: 1. Adhesion behavior between the extraocular muscles and the sclera at different indenter unloading velocities determined by contact and pull-off tests. 2. A finite element model was developed to simulate the adhesive contact between the extraocular muscles and the sclera at different indenter unloading velocities. The bilinear cohesive zone model was used for adhesive interactions. 3. The elastic modulus and viscoelastic parameters of the extraocular muscle along the thickness direction were obtained by using compressive stress-relaxation tests. 4. The influence of the adhesion moment between the extraocular muscles and the sclera on eye movement was obtained according to the equation of oculomotor balance. The adhesion moment between the extraocular muscles and the sclera was found to increase with increased eye movement velocity and increased separation angle between the two interfaces.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Gastro-intestinal (GI) tract inflammation is as a result of inflammatory hypoxia which is also induced by long-standing group of disorders like inflammatory-bowel disease (IBD). Regulation of GI immune homeostasis by macrophage involves hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF). As inhibitor of HIF prolyl hydroxylase, roxadustat (ROX) increases the levels of HIF. METHODS We induced experimental colitis (EC) model in mice via dextran-sulfate sodium (DSS) to evaluate ROX role in above-mentioned disease. RESULTS ROX ameliorated EC in mice by blocking colonic length shorten and loss of body weight, thereby reducing scores of disease-activity index (DAI) and histopathology. ROX significantly reduced inflammatory cytokines levels, suppressed M1 and increased M2 macrophage polarization in colonic tissues. Besides, ROX blocked declining hematocrit (HCT) level in blood and increased HIF-1-α and HIF-2-α level in colonic tissues. The inhibitor of HIF-1- α, KC7F2 decreased body weight and colonic length in ROX-treated DSS mice. Meanwhile, DAI scores and histopathology in KC7F2 treated DSS mice were markedly higher than that of treatment with ROX alone. KC7F2 treatments also significantly increased inflammatory cytokines levels, respectively promoted and reduced polarization of M1 and M2 macrophages in colonic tissue from ROX treated mice. Further, KC7F2 treatments inhibited ROX induced HCT level increasing in blood and decreased HIF-1-α and HIF-2-α level in colonic tissue. CONCLUSION Collectively, we discovered that ROX ameliorated EC in mice by regulating macrophage polarization through promotion of HIF expression. GENERAL SIGNIFICANCE Taken together, we developed a new application of ROX, which provides new ideas and a scientific basis for IBD treatment.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the influence of varied oxygen (O2) concentration environments on the phenotypic transformation of pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMC) and the mechanism of pulmonary hypertension. Methods: Primary rat PASMC were isolated and cultured through the process of enzymatic digestion. Following identification, the stable passaged PASMC were subjected to a 6-hour incubation in sealed containers with normal O2 content (group C) and relative O2 content comprising 55% (group H55), 75% (group H75), and 95% (group H95). mRNA and protein expression of α-Actin (α-SMA), smooth muscle 22α (SM22α), osteopontin (OPN), and matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) were measured using real-time quantitative PCR and western blot analysis. Results: The H55 group displayed no significant difference from the C group in terms of mRNA and relative protein expression levels for α-SMA, SM22α, OPN, and MMP-2 (all P>0.05). On the other hand, groups H75 and H95 exhibited a reduction in mRNA and relative protein expression of α-SMA and SM22α, along with an increase in mRNA and relative protein expression of OPN and MMP-2 when compared with both the C and H55 groups (all P<0.05). The H95 group showed a higher relative mRNA expression of MMP-2 as compared to the H75 group (P<0.05). Conclusions: Oxygen concentration environments of 75% or higher can serve as the foundation for the pathogenesis of pulmonary hypertension, essentially by inducing a phenotypic transformation in PASMC towards adopting a robust secretory function. This induction is contingent upon the concentration of oxygen present.

Abstract
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a type of neurodegenerative disease characterized by cognitive impairment that is aggravated with age. The pathological manifestations include extracellular amyloid deposition, intracellular neurofibrillary tangles and loss of neurons. As the world population ages, the incidence of AD continues to increase, not only posing a significant threat to the well-being and health of individuals but also bringing a heavy burden to the social economy. There is epidemiological evidence suggesting a link between AD and metabolic diseases, which share pathological similarities. This potential link would deserve further consideration; however, the pathogenesis and therapeutic efficacy of AD remain to be further explored. The complex pathogenesis and pathological changes of AD pose a great challenge to the choice of experimental animal models. To understand the role of metabolic diseases in the development of AD and the potential use of drugs for metabolic diseases, the present article reviews the research progress of the comorbidity of AD with diabetes, obesity and hypercholesterolemia, and summarizes the different roles of animal models in the study of AD to provide references for researchers.

Abstract
AIM To determine whether tumour vascular and cellular heterogeneity of high-grade glioma (HGG) is predictive of isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) mutation status and overall survival (OS) by using tumour habitat-based analysis constructed by perfusion and/or diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). MATERIALS AND METHODS Seventy-eight HGG patients that met the 2021 World Health Organization WHO Classification of Tumors of the Central Nervous System, 5th edition (WHO CNS5), were enrolled to predict IDH mutation status, of which 32 grade 4 patients with unmethylated O6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) promoter were enrolled for prognostic analysis. The deep-learning-based model nnU-Net and K-means clustering algorithm were applied to construct the Traditional Habitat, Vascular Habitat (VH), Cellular Density Habitat (DH), and their Combined Habitat (CH). Quantitative parameters were extracted and compared between IDH-mutant and IDH-wild-type patients, respectively, and the prediction potential was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. OS was analysed using Kaplan-Meier survival analysis and the log-rank test. RESULTS Compared with IDH-mutants, median relative cerebral blood volume (rCBVmedian) values in the whole enhancing tumour (WET), VH1, VH3, CH1-4 habitats were significantly increased in IDH-wild-type HGGs (all p<0.05). Additionally, the accuracy of rCBVmedian values in CH1 outperformed other habitats in identifying IDH mutation status (p<0.001) at a cut-off value of 4.83 with AUC of 0.815. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis highlighted significant differences in OS between the populations dichotomised by the median of rCBVmedian in WET, VH1, CH1-3 habitats (all p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS The habitat imaging technique may improve the accuracy of predicting IDH mutation status and prognosis, and even provide a new direction for subsequent personalised precision treatment.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study was designed to determine the effects of hospital-family holistic care mode on psychological state and nutritional status of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). METHODS A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of 80 patients with IBD treated in The Second Affiliated Hospital of Jiaxing University from May 2021 to November 2022. Among the patients, 37 patients who received conventional care were assigned to a control group and the remaining 43 patients who received hospital-family holistic care were assigned to an intervention group. The changes of psychological state and nutritional status were compared between the two groups before and after intervention. The two groups were also compared in terms of clinical data, serum preprotein (PA) and albumin (ALB) levels, quality of life (QoL), disease cognition level, self-management of patients, and nursing satisfaction. RESULTS After 6 months of intervention, the intervention group exhibited significantly lower anxiety and depression scores (P<0.001), and significantly higher Crohn's and Colitis knowledge scale and McMaster inflammatory bowel disease questionnaire scores than the control group (P<0.001). The scores of IBD-self-efficacy scale, mini nutritional assessment, and subjective global assessment in the intervention group were all significantly higher than those in the control group after intervention (P<0.001). Also, the intervention group showed significantly higher PA and ALB levels, as well as higher nursing satisfaction than the control group (P<0.001). CONCLUSION The hospital-family holistic care mode can substantially improve the management and nursing of patients with IBD through improving self-management ability, maintaining nutritional status, alleviating negative emotions, and elevating QoL.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the association of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) with triglyceride glucose index (TyG) and TyG-related indicators in Uyghur populations of The Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Methods: Based on the cohort of the Uygur population of The Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, 11 833 study subjects were included. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to estimate the cumulative incidence of CVD in each quartile of TyG and TyG-related indicators. Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to evaluate the relationship between TyG and CVD, TyG-related indicators and CVD. Framingham CVD risk score model (Framingham model) was used to evaluate whether the addition of TyG and TyG-related indicators could improve the predictive ability of the model. The potential mediating role of the TyG in the association between obesity and CVD was examined through mediation effect analysis. Results: The average age of the subjects was (37.00±13.67) years-old, and 51.0% were male. The median follow-up time was 5.67 years, with 1 288 CVD events. The cumulative incidence of CVD increased with the increase of TyG and TyG-related indicators quartiles, and compared with the Q1 group, the risk of CVD in the Q4 group of TyG, TyG-BMI, and TyG-WHtR increased by 20% (HR=1.20, 95%CI: 1.01-1.42), 77% (HR=1.77, 95%CI: 1.46-2.16) and 68% (HR=1.68, 95%CI: 1.36-2.09), respectively. After adding TyG, TyG-BMI, and TyG-WHtR to the Framingham model, respectively, the model's area under the curve, net reclassification improvement, and integrated discrimination improvement were improved. In the association between BMI, WHtR, and CVD, the proportion of mediating effects mediated by the TyG index was 10.55% and 11.50%. Conclusions: Elevated levels of TyG and TyG-related indicators were strongly associated with the risk of CVD in the Uyghur population of The Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, with TyG-BMI being the most closely correlated with CVD. Early monitoring of TyG-BMI helps identify high-risk groups of CVD.

Abstract
Objective: Biallelic pathogenic variants in TOE1 cause pontocerebellar hypoplasia type 7 (PCH7), a rare neurological condition characterized by psychomotor retardation, spastic paraplegia, seizures, gonadal abnormalities and brain anomalies. Currently, only 14 postnatally diagnosed PCH7 patients have been described. However, the prenatal clinical profile of PCH7 has not yet been reported.Method: Whole-exome sequencing (WES) was performed to screen for causal variants.Results: We report the pedigree of a Chinese woman with two eventful pregnancies with fetuses that showed brain anomalies, including microcephaly, cerebral anomalies, enlarged ventricles, corpus callosum thinning, abnormal lateral fissure, underdeveloped insula and pons and brainstem hypoplasia. Interestingly, corpus callosum thinning was observed in fetus 1 but not in fetus 2. An abnormal lateral fissure and an underdeveloped insula were shown in fetus 2 but not fetus 1. Biallelic variants c.716T > C (p.Phe239Ser) and c.955C > T (p.His319Tyr) in TOE1 were identified in both fetuses.Conclusion: We first describe the prenatal features of a Chinese pedigree with PCH7 caused by biallelic pathogenic variants in TOE1, with phenotypic variability observed even within the same family. Novel phenotypes, an abnormal lateral fissure and an underdeveloped insula were observed in the fetus in our study. These findings will enrich our knowledge of the clinical characteristics, management and genetic counseling of PCH7.

Abstract
A reliable and stable method was developed to accurately analyze neptunium (237Np) and plutonium isotopes in environmental samples using 242Pu or 236Pu as a tracer. Key parameters, including the valence adjustment conditions and the stabilities of Pu and Np in the different resins, were investigated using TK200 and TEVA resin. It was found that Pu and Np could be efficiently extracted simultaneously using TK200 resin under the optimal loading conditions (6-12 M HNO3) with the addition of 0.01-0.12 M NaNO2 for valence adjustment. These isotopes were subsequently stripped out using a solution containing 0.1 M HCl, 0.05 M HF, and 0.01 M NH2OH·HCl. The separation efficiencies of Pu and Np were >93%, and the chemical yield ratio between Np and Pu was maintained steady at an average of 1.00 ± 0.03 (n > 50) under the optimal conditions. The analytical method was validated by analyzing environmental soil samples spiked with known amounts of 239Pu and 237Np standard solutions or certified reference materials. The measured values of 237Np, 239Pu, and 240Pu obtained by inductively coupled plasma tandem mass spectrometry were consistent with their International Atomic Energy Agency literature values within a 95% confidence interval. These results confirm the reliability and high analytical precision (<6%) of this developed method using Pu as a non-isotopic tracer for monitoring the chemical yield of 237Np. The developed method can also be used for environmental pollutant monitoring and for tracer studies of the 237Np and Pu isotopes.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To assess the role of TNF-α/TNFR2 axis on promoting angiogenesis in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cells and uncover the underlying mechanisms. MATERIALS AND METHODS The expression of TNFR2 and CD31 in OSCC tissues was examined; gene expression relationship between TNF-α/TNFR2 and angiogenic markers or signaling molecules was analyzed; the expression of angiogenic markers, signaling molecules, TNFR1, and TNFR2 in TNF-α-stimulated OSCC cells treated with or without TNFR2 neutralizing antibody (TNFR2 Nab) were assessed; the concentration of angiogenic markers in the supernatant of OSCC cells was detected; conditioned mediums of OSCC cells treated with TNF-α or TNF-α + TNFR2 Nab were applied to human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs), followed by tube formation and cell migration assays. RESULTS Significantly elevated expression of TNFR2 and CD31 in OSCC tissues was observed. A positive gene expression correlation was identified between TNF-α/TNFR2 and angiogenic markers or signaling molecules. TNFR2 Nab inhibited the effects of TNF-α on enhancing the expression of angiogenic factors and TNFR2, the phosphorylation of the Akt/mTOR signaling pathway, HUVECs migration, and tube formation. CONCLUSIONS TNFR2 Nab counteracts the effect of TNF-α on OSCC cells through the TNFR2/Akt/mTOR axis, indicating that blocking TNFR2 might be a promising strategy against cancer.

Abstract
Malignant tumors represent a significant health challenge, critically impacting human well-being. Historically, the focus has been on leveraging the biochemical cues of tumors for both diagnosis and treatment. While valuable, this strategy does not capture the full complexity of tumor diagnosis and management. Recently, the integration of biomechanics and mechanobiology with oncology has highlighted the importance of mechanical cues, which have emerged as new hallmarks of tumors, opening potential novel routes for cancer diagnosis and therapeutic interventions. Despite the advances, a thorough literature review suggests a pronounced gap in our understanding of the mechanical properties of tumors. The clinical community has not yet completely recognized the diagnostic and therapeutic relevance of the mechanical cues of tumors. To bridge this knowledge gap, we propose and introduce the paradigm of "Tumor Mechanomedicine". We provide a comprehensive overview of the multi-scale mechanical characteristics of tumors, exploring their influence on tumor biology, from the aspects of tumor biomechanics, tumor mechanobiology, tumor mechanodiagnostics, and tumor mechanotherapeutics. By elucidating the diagnostic and therapeutic potential of these mechanical cues, we aim to furnish the oncology community with fresh insights, paving the way for innovative solutions to persistent clinical conundrums.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the effect and prognosis of infant kidney transplantation. Methods: Clinical data of 37 cases of infant kidney transplantation under 3 years old in Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from June 1, 2017 to July 31, 2022 were retrospectively collected. These 37 cases included 31 primary kidney transplantation and 6 secondary kidney transplantation. Kaplan-Meier method was used to draw the survival curve of the transplanted kidney and the recipient, and the prognosis and complications were analyzed. Median follow-up was 18 months (range: 6-66 months). Results: The recipients were 20 males and 17 females, with a median age of 16 months (range: 2 months, 26 days to 36 months) and a median weight of 8 kg (range: 3.2 to 14.0 kg). The youngest child was only 2 months, 26 days old, and weighed only 3.2 kg. The most common primary disease of recipients was congenital nephrotic syndrome (13 cases, 41.9%). Intra-abdominal transplantation occurred in 19 cases (51.3%) and intra-iliac fossa transplantation occurred in the remaining 18 cases (48.6%). Postoperative renal function recovery was delayed in 7 cases (18.9%), and thrombosis caused renal function loss in 5 cases (13.5%), of which 4 cases received second renal transplantation and were successful. During the follow-up period, there were 11 cases of acute rejection (29.7%) and 6 cases of CMV pneumonia (16.2%). The estimated glomerular filtration rate 1 year after transplantation was higher than that 1 month after surgery [(101.9±22.1) vs (71.1±25.6) ml/(min·1.73m2), P<0.001], and remained constant 2 years after transplantation. Both the 1-year and 2-year survival rates of the transplanted kidney were 85.3%, and both the 1-year and 2-year survival rates of the recipients were 96.8%. Conclusion: Although the implementation of infant kidney transplantation is difficult, it can still achieve relatively satisfactory efficacy and prognosis.

Abstract
The poor prognosis of immunotherapy in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the immunosuppressive mechanisms within tumor microenvironment (TME). Undoubtedly, the anti-tumor immune cells play an indispensable role in immune tolerance. Therefore, it is imperative to investigate novel immune-related factors that have the capacity to enhance anti-tumor immunity. Here, we employed bioinformatic analysis using R and Cytoscape to identify the hub gene chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 8 (CXCL8), which is overexpressed in CRC, in the malignant progression of CRC. However, its specific role of CXCL8 in CRC immunity remains to be elucidated. For this purpose, we evaluated how tumor-derived CXCL8 promotes M2 macrophage infiltration by in vivo and in vitro, which can be triggered by IL-1β within TME. Mechanistically, CXCL8-induced polarization of M2 macrophages depends on the activation of the STAT3 signaling. Finally, immunohistochemistry and multiplexed immunohistochemistry analysis identified that CXCL8 not only enhances PD-L1+ M2 macrophage infiltration but also attenuates the recruitment of PD-1+ CD8+ T cells in murine CRC models. Together, these findings emphasize the critical role for CXCL8 in promoting M2 macrophage polarization and inhibiting CD8+ T cell infiltration, thereby links CXCL8 to the emergency of immunosuppressive microenvironment facilitating tumor evasion. Overall, these findings may provide novel strategy for CRC immunotherapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Available literature has reported the association of Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) infection with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in adults. However, only a few studies have addressed the disease in children. AIM To ascertain the correlation of H pylori infection with IBD among children. METHODS The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to assess the association between H pylori infection and IBD in children. We searched databases including Cochrane, EMBASE, Google Scholar, PubMed, Medline, and Web of Science to select relevant studies. Ultimately, based on predetermined inclusion criteria, we included 6 studies that met the requirements. Review Manager and Stata software were used to extract and analyze the data from the relevant studies. In the methods, we employed both qualitative and quantitative approaches for comprehensive analysis. Qualitative analysis involved describing study designs, sample characteristics, and results, while quantitative analysis involved statistical tests such as calculating pooled risk ratios and 95% confidence intervals to evaluate the association between H pylori infection and IBD in children. Lastly, by combining the results of the individual studies, our objective is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between H pylori infection and IBD in children. RESULTS In totality, we involved 2236 participants that were recruited in 6 studies. We detected no significant difference in H pylori prevalence (9.8% vs 12.7%, P = .12) by comparing the children IBD group to controls. Among the IBD children, we estimated odds ratio (OR) of H pylori infection to 0.62 [(95% confidence interval (CI) of 0.34-1.12)]. In children suffering from ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn disease (CD), the H pylori infection rates were higher than in those with IBD-unclassified (IBDU).When analyzed stratified by disease of study design, In CD group [OR = 1.42, 95% CI: 0.72-2.80)] (I2 = 0%, P = .64). but no significant difference in CD group. CONCLUSIONS No correlation was found between H pylori infection and the occurrence of IBD in children.

Abstract
Ocular diseases and treatment related to rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) are highly correlated with retinal adhesion behavior. Therefore, this paper proposes to study the adhesion behavior of the intact retina. This can provide theoretical guidance for the treatment and research of retinal detachment (RD) related diseases. To systematically analyze this aspect, two experiments were performed on the porcine retina. The pull-off test combined with the modified JKR theory was used to study the adhesion behavior of the vitreoretinal interface, while the peeling test was used to study the adhesion behavior of the chorioretinal interface. In addition, the adhesion phase involved in the pull-off test was simulated and analyzed by building the corresponding finite element method (FEM). The experimental results of adhesion force on the vitreoretinal interface were obtained by pull-off test with five sizes of rigid punch. The experimental value of the pull-off force FPO tends to increase gradually with increasing punch radius in the range of 0.5-4 mm. A comparison of the experimental results with the simulation results shows that they are in a well agreement. And there is no statistical difference between the experimental and theoretical values of the pull-off force FPO. In addition, the values of retinal adhesion work were also obtained by pull-off test. Interestingly, there is a significant scale effect of the retinal work of adhesion. Finally, the peeling test gave a maximum peeling strength TMax of about 13 mN/mm and a stable peeling strength TD of about 11 mN/mm between the retina and the choroid. The pull-off test well shows the process of retinal traction by the diseased vitreous at the beginning of RRD. A comparison of the experimental results with the finite element results verifies the accuracy of the simulation. The peeling test well investigated the adhesion behavior between the retina and the choroid and obtained key biomechanical data (peeling strength, etc.). The combination of the two experiments allows a more systematic study of the whole retina. This research can provide more complete material parameters for finite element modeling of retina-related diseases, and it also can provide the theoretical guidance for individualized design of retinal repair surgery.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Anaemia during pregnancy is a significant public health problem that adversely impacts both the mother and foetus. However, the factors influencing maternal anaemia in deprived areas of Northwestern China have not yet been thoroughly investigated. This study aimed to describe the prevalence and potential influencing factors of anaemia among expectant mothers in rural areas of Northwestern China. STUDY DESIGN This was a cross-sectional survey. METHODS A cross-sectional survey of 586 expectant mothers was conducted to investigate the prevalence of anaemia, prenatal healthcare coverage, dietary diversity and nutrient supplementation intake. The study population was selected from the sample areas using a random sampling method. Data were collected through a questionnaire, and haemoglobin concentrations were measured by a capillary blood test. RESULTS The results show that 34.8% of the study population were anaemic, with 13% having moderate-to-severe anaemia. The results of the regression analysis showed that diet was not significantly associated with haemoglobin concentrations or the prevalence of anaemia. However, regular prenatal healthcare attendance was found to be an important influencing factor for both haemoglobin concentration (β = 3.67, P = 0.002) and the prevalence of anaemia (odds ratio = 0.59, P = 0.011). CONCLUSIONS Pregnant women receiving regular prenatal care were less likely to be anaemic; thus, it is essential to implement strategies to improve attendance at maternal public health services to reduce the prevalence of maternal anaemia.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the percentage of in-use electronic sphygmomanometers independently validated clinically in China. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional survey and Beijing, Shenzhen, Shijiazhuang, Datong, and Shihezi were selected according to the geographical location and economic level. In each site, one tertiary hospital, two community health centers, and 20 families with electronic sphygmomanometers in use were chosen. The information of electronic sphygmomanometers including brand, model, manufacturer and production date were obtained by the trained staff. Ten electronic sphygmomanometers from each hospital, five electronic sphygmomanometers from each community health center, and one electronic sphygmomanometer from each family were surveyed, and the user's subjective judgment results and judgment basis on the accuracy of the electronic sphygmomanometer measurement were collected. We searched six registration websites (Medaval, Stride BP, dabl Educational Trust, British and Irish Hypertension Society, American Medical Association and Hypertension Canada) and two research databases (PubMed and CNKI) for the clinical validation status of each electronic sphygmomanometer. Results: A total of 200 electronic sphygmomanometers were investigated in this study, of which only 29.0% (58/200) passed independent clinical validation. When stratified by users, the percentage of being clinical validated was 46.0% (23/50) for electronic sphygmomanometers in hospitals, 42.0% (21/50) for those in community health centers and 14.0% (14/100) for those in home use, respectively, and the proportions between the three groups were significantly difference (P<0.001). Doctors in tertiary hospitals and community health service centers judged the accuracy of electronic sphygmomanometers mainly on the basis of "regular correction" (41.0% (41/100)) and "comparison with other electronic sphygmomanometers" (20.0% (20/100)), while among home users, 41.0% (41/100) were not clear about the accuracy of electronic sphygmomanometers, and 40.0% (40/100) made the judgment by "comparison with the devices in hospitals". Conclusion: The clinical validation of in-use electronic sphygmomanometers in China is low. Most of users, including healthcare professionals, are not aware of clinical validation of electronic sphygmomanometers.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the genetic characteristics of varicella-zoster virus (VZV) in people aged 20 years and under in Yichang City of Hubei Province from 2019 to 2020. Methods: Based on the Yichang Health Big Data Platform, we investigated cases 20 and under clinically diagnosed as herpes zoster in three hospitals from March 2019 to September 2020. Collecting vesicle fluid and throat swab samples of the cases and completing questionnaires to obtain basic information. Real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR was used for positive identification of the virus. PCR amplification of VZV's open reading frame (ORF) and sequencing of the products to determine the VZV genotype. Analyze mutations at some specific single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) sites. Results: Among 46 cases of herpes zoster, the male to female ratio was 1.3∶1 (26∶20) and the age ranged from 7 to 20 years old. Fifteen cases had been vaccinated against varicella, including 13 and 2 cases of 1 and 2 doses, respectively. VZV strains were detected in 34 samples (73.91%), all belonging to Clade 2. Phylogenetic tree analysis of the nucleotide of ORF22 showed, compared with Clade 2 referenced strains, the sequence matching degree of nucleotide for all 34 samples was 99.0% to 100.0%. Conclusion: The main VZV strain causing herpes zoster in people aged 20 years and under in Yichang from 2019 to 2020 was Clade 2.

Abstract
Background Appropriate management of esophageal food bolus impactions includes endoscopic evaluation and follow-up for potential underlying esophageal pathology. Patients who present with impactions at night may not receive optimal long-term post-endoscopy care due to patient-, physician-, or system-related factors. Purpose We aimed to evaluate the appropriateness of care for patients who present with food bolus impactions after regular daytime hours. Method We conducted a retrospective, population-based, multi-center cohort study of adult patients undergoing endoscopy for food impaction between 19:00-06:59 from 2016-2018 in the Calgary Health Zone, Canada. Appropriate post-endoscopy care was defined by a composite of a follow-up clinic visit, repeat endoscopy, other appropriate investigations (e.g., manometry), or appropriate medical treatment (e.g., proton pump inhibitor). Predictors of inappropriate care were assessed using multivariable logistic regression, expressed as adjusted odds ratios (aOR) with 95% confidence intervals (CI). Result(s) A total of 323 patients underwent an after-hours or overnight endoscopy for food bolus impaction. 25.4% (82/323) of patients did not receive appropriate post-endoscopy care. Predictors of inappropriate care included rural residence (aOR 2.66 [95% CI: 1.18-6.01], p=0.02), first food bolus presentation (aOR 2.38 [95% CI: 1.04-5.44], p=0.04), and absence of a specific pathology during the index procedure (aOR 3.01 [95% CI: 0.97-9.29], p=0.05), suggesting a potential association with clinician cognitive bias. Conclusion(s) One quarter of patients presenting with a food bolus impaction at night do not receive appropriate post-endoscopy care. System-based interventions should target this high-risk population as the diagnosis and management may change with follow-up. Abstract
Deep learning methods have achieved success in disease prediction using electronic health records (EHR) data. Most of the existing methods have some limitations. First, most of the methods adopt a homogeneous decay way to deal with the effect of time interval on patient's previous visits information. However, the effect of the time interval between patient's visits is not always negative. For example, although the time interval between visits for patients with chronic diseases is relatively long, the importance of the previous visit to the next visit is high, and we may not be able to consider the effect of the time interval as negative at this point. That is, the effect of the time interval on previous visits is exerted in a nonmonotonic manner, and it is either positive, negative, or neutral. In addition, the effect of text information on prediction results is not taken into account in most of methods. The text in EHR contains a description of the patient's past medical history and current symptoms of the disease, which is important for prediction results. In order to solve these issues, we propose a Time Interval Uncertainty-Aware and Text-Enhanced Based Disease Prediction Model, which utilizes the uncertain effects of time intervals and patient's text information for disease prediction. Firstly, we apply a cross-attention mechanism to generate a global representation of the patient using the patient's disease and text information from the EHR. Then, we use the key-query attention mechanism to obtain the two importance weights of the two visit sequences with and without time intervals, respectively. Furthermore, we achieve disease prediction by making slight adjustments to the encode part of the Transformer, a deep learning model based on a self-attention mechanism. We compare with various state-of-the-art models on two publicly available datasets, MIMIC-III and MIMIC-IV, and select the top 10 diseases with the highest frequency in the dataset as the target diseases. On the MIMIC-III dataset, our model is up to three percent higher than the optimal baseline in terms of evaluation metrics.

Abstract
AIM To investigate the predictive value of 68Ga-labelled prostate-specific membrane antigen-11 (68Ga-PSMA-11) integrated positron-emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) in PBRM1-deficient clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 41 patients with ccRCC, were enrolled retrospectively and underwent 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT preoperatively. Radiological parameters, including CT attenuation value and maximum standard uptake value (SUVmax), were derived. Immunohistochemical and multiple immunofluorescences staining were performed to evaluate the PBRM1 status and immune response. The predictive value of imaging factors was analysed using a receiver operator characteristic curve analysis. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to investigate the relationship between clinical and radiological variables and PBRM1 status. RESULTS A total of 41 patients were included in this study, with 14 patients having PBRM1-deficient status. The tumour diameter on imaging and SUVmax differed significantly in patients with different PBRM1 expression statuses and no difference in CT attenuation was identified. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses showed SUVmax was an obvious predictor for identification of PBRM1-deficient tumours. In addition, PBRM1-deficient tumours tended to be accompanied by greater cytotoxic T-cell infiltration, although most of them were in an exhausted state. CONCLUSIONS 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT could be used to discriminate invasive PBRM1-deficient ccRCC.

Abstract
Angiogenesis plays a key role in the progression and metastasis of melanoma, and the pro-angiogenic effect of macrophages is one major reason for the failure of current anti-angiogenic therapies. Here, a nano-immunotherapy combining ferumoxytol and poly(I:C) (ferumoxytol/poly(I:C)) has been developed to boost the anti-angiogenic activities of macrophages to inhibit melanoma. Our findings demonstrated that ferumoxytol/poly(I:C) was a highly efficacious anti-tumor therapy with limited toxicity. Both in vivo and in vitro experiments indicated that this combination was successful in impeding angiogenesis. Ferumoxytol/poly(I:C) was demonstrated to reduce the viability of endothelial cells, thus hindering tube formation. Particularly, ferumoxytol/poly(I:C) was able to polarize macrophages to the M1 phenotype and decrease the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor, which in turn amplified the anti-angiogenic properties of ferumoxytol/poly(I:C). This combination of ferumoxytol/poly(I:C) nano-immunotherapy enriches the anti-angiogenic therapeutic nature of ferumoxytol and will shed new light on the treatment of melanoma.

Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical characteristics and risk factors of common systemic rheumatism concomitant with tuberculosis (TB). Methods A total of 3,906 patients of RA, SLE, and SS diagnosed in the People's Hospital of Sichuan Province from January 2007 to January 2017 were collected. One hundred and five patients with TB were included as TB group, including 42 RA, 41 SLE, and 22 SS patients. In the non-TB group, 84 RA, 82 SLE, and 44 SS patients were randomly selected during the same period. Results Fever was the most common symptom among RA, SLE, and SS patients with TB, accounting for 83.3%, 92.7%, and 68.2%, respectively. Cough, weight loss or fatigue were the next common. RA patients with TB were mostly pulmonary TB (PTB), accounting for 64.3%. The proportion of PTB for SLE and SS were 46.3%, 59.01%, respectively. In TB group, 59% RA, 57% SLE, and 62% SS with PTB had two or more chest CT findings. There were 48 TB cases received both Interferon Gamma Release Assay (IGRA) and Tuberculin skin test (TST) with positive rates of 91.8%, 45.8%, respectively. The daily average dose of glucocorticoids within 1 year in TB group was higher than that in non-TB group of SLE patients, lower counts of CD4+ T cell count were found in TB group (P < 0.05), while no such differences were found in RA and SS patients. Conclusion RA patients with TB are mainly pulmonary TB. For SLE and SS patients, the chance of PTB and extrapulmonary tuberculosis is similar. Daily average dose of glucocorticoids within 1 year may be a common risk factor for RA, SLE and SS patients developing TB. Decreased CD4+ T cell count may also be a risk factor for SLE patients with TB. Symptoms of RA, SLE, SS with TB, are similar with the primary disease or other infection. It is recommended to conduct both TST and IGRA to help diagnose TB.

Abstract
Objective: To examine the application value of 3D Slicer software assisted domestic frameless stereotactic robot in biopsy of intracranial lesions. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 80 patients who admitted consecutively and underwent intracerebral lesions biopsy with the domestic frameless stereotactic robot at Department of Neurosurgery, Aerospace Central Hospital from January 2019 to December 2021. There were 36 males and 44 females, with a mean age of (38.5±18.0) years (range: 6 to 71 years). Before surgery only enhanced T1-weighted three-dimensional magnetization prepared gradient echo sequences and diffusion tensor imaging scans were performed. Self-reconstruction of intracranial lesions, cerebral cortex and blood vessels was carried out using 3D Slicer software system after the DICOM format imaging data of 80 patients were collected. These imaging data were merged to the workstation of the domestic frameless stereotactic robot for preoperative surgical planning and the surgical puncture path was designed to avoid blood vessels in the brain functional area, cerebral cortex and sulcus. Results: All frameless stereotactic biopsy were successfully performed. Postoperative pathological diagnosis included 50 cases of diffuse astrocytic and oligodendroglioma, 15 cases of lymphoma, 5 cases of metastatic tumors, 5 cases of inflammatory demyelinating disease, 2 cases of inflammatory granuloma, 1 case of hemangioma, 1 case of acute lymphoblastic leukemia intracranial invasion and 1 case of seminoma. The positive diagnosis rate was 100% (80/80). Postoperative imaging confirmed that the puncture path and target were accurately implemented according to the preoperative planning, and the target error was (1.32±0.44) mm (range: 0.55 to 1.99 mm). One case of puncture-related bleeding occurred at the target after surgery and improved after treatment. Conclusion: The three-dimensional multimodal images reconstructed by the 3D Slicer software before operation could help the surgeons make the preoperative planning and reduce the risk of stereotactic brain biopsy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Circular RNA (circRNA) has been found to play an important role in the progression of many diseases, including ischemic stroke. However, the regulatory mechanism of circSEC11A in ischemic stroke progression need to further investigation. METHODS Human brain microvascular endothelial cells (HBMECs) were stimulated by oxygen glucose deprivation (OGD). CircSEC11A, SEC11A mRNA and miR (microRNA)-29a-3p were quantified by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR). SEMA3A, BAX and BCL2 protein level was quantified by western blot. Oxidative stress, cell proliferation, angiogenesis and apoptosis abilities were gauged by oxidative stress assay kit, 5-Ethynyl-2'-Deoxyuridine (EdU) staining, tube formation assay and flow cytometry assays, respectively. Direct relationship between miR-29a-3p and circSEC11A or SEMA3A was validated by dual-luciferase reporter assay, RIP assay and RNA pull-down assay. RESULTS CircSEC11A was upregulated in OGD-induced HBMECs. OGD promoted the oxidative stress and apoptosis and inhibited cell proliferation and angiogenesis, while circSEC11A knockdown relieved the effects. CircSEC11A functioned as the sponge for miR-29a-3p, and miR-29a-3p inhibitor reversed the effects of si-circSEC11A on OGD-induced HBMECs oxidative injuries. Moreover, SEMA3A served as the target gene of miR-29a-3p. MiR-29a-3p inhibition ameliorated OGD-induced HBMECs oxidative injuries, while SEMA3A overexpression rescued the impacts of miR-29a-3p mimic. CONCLUSION CircSEC11A promoted the malignant progression in OGD-induced HBMECs through the mediation of miR-29a-3p/SEMA3A axis. This study has provided the new insight into the underlying application of circSEC11A in cell model of ischemic stroke.

Abstract
Accurate estimation of gestational age (GA) is vital for identifying fetal abnormalities. Conventionally, GA is estimated by measuring the morphology of the cranium, abdomen, and femur manually and inputting them into the classic Hadlock formula to assess fetal growth. However, this procedure incurs considerable overhead and suffers from bias caused by the operators, yielding suboptimal estimations. To address this challenge, we develop an automatic DeepGA model to achieve fully automatic GA prediction in an end-to-end manner. Our model uses a deep segmentation model (DeepSeg) to accurately identify and segment three critical tissues, including the cranium, abdomen, and femur, in which their morphology is automatically extracted. After that, we are able to directly estimate the GA via a deep regression model (DeepReg). We evaluate DeepGA on a large dataset, including 10,413 ultrasound images from 7113 subjects. It achieves superior performance over the traditional measurement approach, with a mean absolute estimation error (MAE) of 5 days. Our DeepGA model is a novel automatic solution on the basis of artificial intelligence learning that can help radiologists improve the performance of GA estimation in various clinical scenarios, thereby enhancing the efficiency of prenatal examinations.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis type 2 (PFIC2) is a rare disorder caused by variants in the ABCB11 gene encoding the bile salt export pump (BSEP). We investigated the molecular defect in a PFIC2 infant and rescued the splicing defect with antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs). METHODS Whole-exome sequencing (WES) revealed compound heterozygous variants in the ABCB11 gene in a PFIC2 patient. Liver biopsy was immunostained for BSEP. The splicing effect of the candidate variants was investigated by minigene assay. ASOs were designed to rescue aberrant splicing. RESULTS A Chinese girl of two nonconsanguineous healthy parents suffered from low glutamyl transpeptidase cholestasis and showed no response to the ursodeoxycholic acid. WES revealed that the patient was compound heterozygous for two novel variants in the ABCB11 gene: c.76+29T>G and c.390-2A>G. Liver immunohistochemistry showed the absence of BSEP. The variant c.76+29T>G was confirmed to retain 42 bp in the mature mRNA. The variant c.390-2A>G was confirmed to cause exon 6 skipping. We designed two ASOs and identified one of them that efficiently induced pseudoexon exclusion. CONCLUSION We reported two novel variants of the ABCB11 gene, c.76+29T>G and c.390-2A>G, in a PFIC2 infant, thereby expanding the genotype of PFIC2. Our findings provide evidence for ASOs as a therapeutic approach for PFIC2 patients carrying intronic variants.

Abstract
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, systemic disease of unknown etiology. The primary manifestation of RA is inflammatory synovitis, which eventually leads to deformity and functional loss. Ferroptosis is a non-apoptosis form of cell death that depends on intracellular iron accumulation. This leads to an increase in reactive oxygen species (ROS) induced-lipid peroxidation. The underlying mechanisms of ferroptosis are System Xc- and Glutathione metabolism, regulation of glutathione peroxidase 4 activity, and ROS generation. Recent studies have shown an association between the pathogenesis of RA and ferroptosis, suggesting the involvement of ferroptosis in the onset and progression of RA. In this review, we have focused on the mechanism of ferroptosis and its association with RA pathogenesis. Further, we discuss the status of therapeutics targeting ferroptosis in the treatment of patients with RA. Targeting ferroptosis could be a potential therapeutic approach for RA treatment.
