Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of the ratio of the maximum diameter of aneurysm sac to age (R) on the long-term efficacy of endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) and open surgical repair (OSR) in patients with infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (IAAA). Methods: This is a retrospective cohort study.The clinical data of 317 patients with IAAA who underwent surgical repair in the Department of Vascular Surgery,the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University from January 2016 to October 2022 were retrospectively collected.There were 266 males and 51 females,aged (69.7±8.3) years (range:37 to 87 years).The R value of the patient was calculated and the receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve was used to establish a model to calculate the optimal cut-off value.The propensity score matching method was used to match the baseline data of patients in the EVAR and OSR group by 3∶1 (the caliper value was 0.05),and the patients were stratified according to the cutoff value of R,and the postoperative efficacy and survival of the patients were analyzed.The primary endpoint was the total mortality rate,and the secondary endpoints included the occurrence of postoperative complications and reintervention.Pearson χ2 or Fisher 's exact test was used for categorical variables,and t test was used for continuous variables to compare differences between groups.The survival curves of the two groups were described by Kaplan-Meier method. Results: After propensity score matching,198 cases were in the EVAR group and 66 cases were in the OSR group.The ROC model showed that the best cut-off value of R value was 0.90,and the two groups were divided into two layers:R<0.90 and R≥0.90.Among them,112 patients with R<0.90 (84 cases of EVAR,28 cases of OSR);there were 152 patients with R≥0.90 (114 cases of EVAR and 38 cases of OSR).The follow-up time was (23.6±1.6) months (range:1 to 70 months).In the R≥0.90 stratification,the total mortality (26.3% vs.5.3%,P<0.05),complication rate (44.7% vs.26.3%,P<0.05), and secondary intervention rate (31.6% vs.13.2%,P<0.05) in the EVAR group were higher than those in the OSR group.In the R<0.90 stratification,there was no significant difference in the total mortality rate (13.1% vs.10.7%,P<0.05),complication rate (28.6% vs.35.7%,P>0.05) and secondary intervention rate (14.3% vs.21.4%, P>0.05) between the two groups. Conclusions: When R≥0.90 in IAAA patients,OSR maybe more beneficial to patients in terms of survival rate,postoperative complication rate and secondary intervention rate than EVAR.When R<0.90,there are no significant differences in survival rate,complication rate and secondary intervention rate between the two surgical methods.

Abstract
The development of highly sensitive HPV-genotyping tests has opened the possibility of treating HPV-infected women before high-grade lesions appear. The lack of efficient intervention for persistent high-risk HPV infection necessitates the need for development of novel therapeutic strategy. Here we demonstrate that REBACIN®, a proprietary antiviral biologics, has shown potent efficacy in the clearance of persistent HPV infections. Two independent parallel clinical studies were investigated, which a total of 199 patients were enrolled and randomly divided into a REBACIN®-test group and a control group without treatment. The viral clearance rates for the REBACIN® groups were 61.5% (24/39) and 62.5% (35/56), respectively, for the two independent parallel studies. In contrast, the nontreatment groups showed self-clearance rates at 20.0% (8/40) and 12.5% (8/64). We further found that REBACIN® was able to significantly repress the expression of HPV E6 and E7 oncogenes in TC-1 and Hela cells. The two viral genes are well known for the development of high-grade premalignancy lesion and cervical cancer. In a mouse model, REBACIN® was indicated to notably suppress E6/E7-induced tumor growth, suggesting E6 and E7 oncogenes as a potential target of REBACIN®. Taken together, our studies shed light into the development of a novel noninvasive therapeutic intervention for clearance of persistent HPV infection with significant efficacy.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To screen aptamers that can bind P24 antigen tightly and specificly, and verify its specificity and affinity. METHODS Polycarbonate PCR plate was coated with P24 antigen and SELEX technology was used to screen aptamer on the PCR plate. The primary and secondary structure of these aptamers was analyzed by software. Through HRP labeled streptavidin and biotin labeled aptamers, the affinity and specificity of obtained aptamers were verified by ELISA. RESULTS The polycarbonate PCR plate could be coated with P24 antigen. Electrophoretic analysis showed the aptamers had been enriched. Sequence aligment analysis showed that these aptamers have consensus sequence and their apatial structure was multiple; ELISA verified that aptamers had high affinity with P24 antigen. CONCLUSION A simple method was established for screening aptamers that can bind HIV-1 P24 antigen specificly and tightly.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To improve the existing serological early diagnosis method of nasopharyngeal carcinoma by improve the detection sensitivity. METHODS The samples of 294 serum specimen from the prevention and treatment of nasopharyngeal cancer model base, involving 106 serum specimen from the patients suffering from nasopharyngeal cancer and 188 from the healthy testers. IgA/VCA antibody and IgA/EA antibody of the serums are tested by Streptavidin-biotin-antibody immunoenzymatic test and normal traditional enzyme methods, SPSS statistical software is used to analyse the test results with chi2 test and t test. RESULTS Referring to 106 patients, the sera antibody positive rate tested by Streptavidin-biotin-antibody immunoenzymatic test method is obviously higher than that tested by traditional method; and the t test result of the GMT has significant difference in the two method. CONCLUSION The modified method can improve the sensitivity of serology testing, ensure the specificity of test results, at the same time, improve the detection rate of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, so it can be applied to the early screen work of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
