Abstract
BACKGROUND In observational and prospective cohort studies, intake of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) and pure fruit juice (PFJ) has been associated with cardiovascular disease (CVD). Still, the causality of the connection has not yet been determined. Our objective was to uncover the relationship between SSBs/PFJ and CVD. METHODS Genetically predicted causal associations between SSBs/PFJ (obtained in a published genome-wide association study) and six common CVDs (atrial fibrillation (AF), angina, heart failure (HF), acute myocardial infarction, hypertension, and coronary atherosclerosis) were assessed using MR analytic modeling. The primary analysis method utilized was the inverse variance weighted (IVW) method, complemented by additional methods such as the weighted median method, MR Egger regression, Cochran's Q test, MR pleiotropy residual, funnel plot, Bonferroni correction, and others for MR analysis. To ensure the robustness of the findings, F-values were calculated as a complementary test to set looser thresholds for exposing genetic instrumental variables (P < 1e-5). RESULTS The results of MR analysis suggested genetically causal associations between SSBs and AF (odds ratio (OR): 1.023; 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.007-1.038; P = 0.0039) as well as between PFJ and angina (OR: 0.968; 95% CI, 0.943-0.993; P = 0.0138) there was genetic causality. However, MR analysis showed no causal association between SSBs/PFJ and other CVD risks. CONCLUSION This study suggests that there may be a potential causal relationship between SSBs intake and AF and a causal negative association between PFJ intake and angina.

Abstract
Thermodynamic therapy (TDT) based on oxygen-independent free radicals exhibits promising potential for the treatment of hypoxic tumors. However, its therapeutic efficacy is seriously limited by the premature release of the drug and the free radical scavenging effect of glutathione (GSH) in tumors. Herein, we report a GSH depletion and biosynthesis inhibition strategy using EGCG/Fe-camouflaged gold nanorod core/ZIF-8 shell nanoparticles embedded with azo initiator 2,2'-azobis[2-(2-imidazolin-2-yl) propane] dihydrochloride (AIPH) and L-buthionine-sulfoximine (BSO) for tumor-targeting photothermal (PTT) and thermodynamic therapy (TDT). This nanoplatform (GNR@ZIF-8-AIPH/BSO@EGCG/Fe, GZABEF) endows a pH-responsive release performance. With the 67 kDa lamin receptor (67LR)-targeting ability of EGCG, GZABEF could selectively release oxygen-independent free radicals in tumor cells under 1064 nm laser irradiation. More importantly, Fe3+-mediated GSH depletion and BSO-mediated GSH biosynthesis inhibition significantly boosted the accumulation of alkyl radicals. In 4T1 cells, GZABEF induced cancer cell death via intracellular GSH depletion and GSH peroxidase 4 (GPX4) inactivation. In a subcutaneous xenograft model of 4T1, GZABEF demonstrated remarkable tumor growth inhibition (78.2%). In addition, excellent biosafety and biocompatibility of GZABEF were observed both in vitro and in vivo. This study provides inspiration for amplified TDT/PTT-mediated antitumor efficacy.

Abstract
This study investigates the relationship between labor values and two forms of envy-benign and malicious-as well as the potential mediating role of mindfulness using a mindfulness reperceiving model. Two thousand three hundred sixty three Chinese teenagers participated in a longitudinal study over an eight-month period, completing questionnaires measuring labor values, benign envy, malicious envy, and mindfulness. The cross-sectional data showed that labor values had an immediate negative effect on malicious envy, with mindfulness partially mediating this relationship. Additionally, labor values had an immediate positive effect on benign envy, but mindfulness did not mediate this relationship. Longitudinal data analysis revealed that the delayed effect of labor values on later benign/malicious envy was similar to its immediate effect. However, mindfulness only played a mediating role in the relationship between labor values and later malicious envy. Cross-gender stability was found in both the immediate effect model and the delayed effect model. Overall, this study sheds light on the influence of labor values on the development of social emotions and the potential mediating role of mindfulness in the Chinese cultural context.

Abstract
This article proposes utilizing a single deep reinforcement learning model to solve combinatorial multiobjective optimization problems. We use the well-known multiobjective traveling salesman problem (MOTSP) as an example. Our proposed method employs an encoder-decoder framework to learn the mapping from the MOTSP instance to its Pareto-optimal set. Specifically, it leverages a novel routing encoder to extract information for both the entire multiobjective aspect and every individual objective from the MOTSP instance. The global embeddings and each objective's embeddings are adaptively aggregated via a routing network to form the subproblems' embedding that can well represent the MOTSP features. Using a modified context embedding, the subproblems' embeddings are fed into a decoder to produce a set of approximate Pareto-optimal solutions in parallel. Additionally, we develop a Top-k baseline to enable more efficient data utilization and lightweight training for our proposed method. We compare our method with heuristic-based and learning-based ones on various types of MOTSP instances, and the experimental results show that our method can solve MOTSP instances in real-time and outperform the other algorithms, especially on large-scale problem instances.

Abstract
Microplastics pollution has garnered significant attention in recent years. The unique cross-linked structure of polystyrene microplastics makes them difficult to biodegrade. In this study, we investigated the microbial community in landfill soil that has the ability to degrade polystyrene, as well as two isolated strains, named Lysinibacillus sp. PS-L and Pseudomonas sp. PS-P. The maximum weight loss of polystyrene film and microplastic in 30 days is 2.25% and 6.99% respectively. The water contact angle of polystyrene film decreased by a maximum of 35.70% during biodegradation. The increase in hydrophilicity is attributed to the oxidation reaction and formation of hydroxyl groups during the degradation of polystyrene. The carbon and oxygen element contents of polystyrene decreased and increased by a maximum of 3.81% and 0.79% respectively. The peak intensity changes at wavelengths of 3285-3648 cm-1 and 1652 cm-1 in Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy confirmed the formation of hydroxyl and carbonyl groups. Furthermore, quantitative PCR revealed the gene expression levels of alkane monooxygenase and alcohol dehydrogenase were upregulated by 8.8-fold and 8.5-fold respectively in PS biodegradation. Additionally, genome annotation of Pseudomonas sp. PS-P identified nine genes associated with polystyrene metabolism. These findings highlight Pseudomonas sp. PS-P as a potential candidate strain for polystyrene degradation enzymes or genes. Thus, they lay the groundwork for understanding the potential metabolic mechanisms and pathways involved in polystyrene degradation.

Abstract
Background The incidence of cervical cancer ranks second among malignant tumors in women, exerting a significant impact on their quality of life and overall well-being. The hypoxic microenvironment plays a pivotal role in the initiation and progression of tumorigenesis. The present study aims to investigate the fundamental genes and pathways associated with the hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF-1A) in cervical cancer, aiming to identify potential downstream targets for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Methods We obtained dataset GSE63514 from the Comprehensive Gene Expression Database (GEO). The dataset comprised of 24 patients in the normal group and 28 patients in the tumor group. Gene set difference analysis (GSVA) and gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) were used to identify the genes related to HIF-1A expression and the specific signaling pathways involved.The association between HIF-1A and tumor immune infiltration was examined in the TCGA dataset. The WGCAN network was constructed to identify key genes within the blue module, and subsequent gene ontology (GO) function and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analyses were conducted to determine the pathways and functional annotations associated with HIF-1A. The protein interaction network of the HIF-1A gene was obtained from the STRING database and visualized using Cytoscape in the meantime.The function of HIF-1A and its related gene expression were verified in vivo. Results HIF-1A was a risk factor in both univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis of cervical cancer patients. A total of 344 genes significantly correlated with the expression of HIF-1A were identified through correlation analysis, and the genes exhibiting the strongest correlation were obtained. The major signaling pathways involved in HIF-1A encompass TNF-α/NF-κB, PI3K/AKT/MTOR, TGF-β, JAK-STAT, and various other signaling cascades. Reinforced by qRT-PCR, we identified Integrin beta-1 (ITGB1), C-C motif chemokine ligand 2 (CCL2), striatin 3 (STRN3), and endothelin-1 (EDN1) as pivotal downstream genes influenced by HIF-1A. HIF-1A is associated with immune infiltration of natural killer (NK) cells, mast cells, CD4+T cells, M0 macrophages, neutrophils, follicular helper T cells, CD8+T cells, and regulatory T cells (Treg). HIF-1A is associated with sensitivity to chemotherapy drugs. The identification of the HIF-1A pathway and its function primarily focuses on cytoplasmic translation, aerobic respiration, cellular respiration, oxidative phosphorylation, thermogenesis, among others. The results of in vivo experiments have confirmed that HIF-1A plays a crucial role in promoting the migration and invasion of cervical cancer cells. Moreover, the overexpression of HIF-1A led to an upregulation in the expressions of ITGB1, CCL2, STRN3, and EDN1. Conclusions The role of HIF-1A in cervical cancer was determined through a combination of bioinformatics analysis and experimental validation. The genes potentially implicated in the tumorigenesis mechanism of HIF-1A were identified. These findings has the potential to enhance our comprehension of the progression of cervical cancer and offer promising therapeutic targets for its clinical management.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors reduce progression of chronic kidney disease and the risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in a wide range of patients. However, their effects on kidney disease progression in some patients with chronic kidney disease are unclear because few clinical kidney outcomes occurred among such patients in the completed trials. In particular, some guidelines stratify their level of recommendation about who should be treated with SGLT2 inhibitors based on diabetes status and albuminuria. We aimed to assess the effects of empagliflozin on progression of chronic kidney disease both overall and among specific types of participants in the EMPA-KIDNEY trial. METHODS EMPA-KIDNEY, a randomised, controlled, phase 3 trial, was conducted at 241 centres in eight countries (Canada, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, the UK, and the USA), and included individuals aged 18 years or older with an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) of 20 to less than 45 mL/min per 1·73 m2, or with an eGFR of 45 to less than 90 mL/min per 1·73 m2 with a urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (uACR) of 200 mg/g or higher. We explored the effects of 10 mg oral empagliflozin once daily versus placebo on the annualised rate of change in estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR slope), a tertiary outcome. We studied the acute slope (from randomisation to 2 months) and chronic slope (from 2 months onwards) separately, using shared parameter models to estimate the latter. Analyses were done in all randomly assigned participants by intention to treat. EMPA-KIDNEY is registered at ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT03594110. FINDINGS Between May 15, 2019, and April 16, 2021, 6609 participants were randomly assigned and then followed up for a median of 2·0 years (IQR 1·5-2·4). Prespecified subgroups of eGFR included 2282 (34·5%) participants with an eGFR of less than 30 mL/min per 1·73 m2, 2928 (44·3%) with an eGFR of 30 to less than 45 mL/min per 1·73 m2, and 1399 (21·2%) with an eGFR 45 mL/min per 1·73 m2 or higher. Prespecified subgroups of uACR included 1328 (20·1%) with a uACR of less than 30 mg/g, 1864 (28·2%) with a uACR of 30 to 300 mg/g, and 3417 (51·7%) with a uACR of more than 300 mg/g. Overall, allocation to empagliflozin caused an acute 2·12 mL/min per 1·73 m2 (95% CI 1·83-2·41) reduction in eGFR, equivalent to a 6% (5-6) dip in the first 2 months. After this, it halved the chronic slope from -2·75 to -1·37 mL/min per 1·73 m2 per year (relative difference 50%, 95% CI 42-58). The absolute and relative benefits of empagliflozin on the magnitude of the chronic slope varied significantly depending on diabetes status and baseline levels of eGFR and uACR. In particular, the absolute difference in chronic slopes was lower in patients with lower baseline uACR, but because this group progressed more slowly than those with higher uACR, this translated to a larger relative difference in chronic slopes in this group (86% [36-136] reduction in the chronic slope among those with baseline uACR <30 mg/g compared with a 29% [19-38] reduction for those with baseline uACR ≥2000 mg/g; ptrend<0·0001). INTERPRETATION Empagliflozin slowed the rate of progression of chronic kidney disease among all types of participant in the EMPA-KIDNEY trial, including those with little albuminuria. Abstract
BACKGROUND The EMPA-KIDNEY trial showed that empagliflozin reduced the risk of the primary composite outcome of kidney disease progression or cardiovascular death in patients with chronic kidney disease mainly through slowing progression. We aimed to assess how effects of empagliflozin might differ by primary kidney disease across its broad population. METHODS EMPA-KIDNEY, a randomised, controlled, phase 3 trial, was conducted at 241 centres in eight countries (Canada, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, the UK, and the USA). Patients were eligible if their estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) was 20 to less than 45 mL/min per 1·73 m2, or 45 to less than 90 mL/min per 1·73 m2 with a urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (uACR) of 200 mg/g or higher at screening. They were randomly assigned (1:1) to 10 mg oral empagliflozin once daily or matching placebo. Effects on kidney disease progression (defined as a sustained ≥40% eGFR decline from randomisation, end-stage kidney disease, a sustained eGFR below 10 mL/min per 1·73 m2, or death from kidney failure) were assessed using prespecified Cox models, and eGFR slope analyses used shared parameter models. Subgroup comparisons were performed by including relevant interaction terms in models. EMPA-KIDNEY is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT03594110. FINDINGS Between May 15, 2019, and April 16, 2021, 6609 participants were randomly assigned and followed up for a median of 2·0 years (IQR 1·5-2·4). Prespecified subgroupings by primary kidney disease included 2057 (31·1%) participants with diabetic kidney disease, 1669 (25·3%) with glomerular disease, 1445 (21·9%) with hypertensive or renovascular disease, and 1438 (21·8%) with other or unknown causes. Kidney disease progression occurred in 384 (11·6%) of 3304 patients in the empagliflozin group and 504 (15·2%) of 3305 patients in the placebo group (hazard ratio 0·71 [95% CI 0·62-0·81]), with no evidence that the relative effect size varied significantly by primary kidney disease (pheterogeneity=0·62). The between-group difference in chronic eGFR slopes (ie, from 2 months to final follow-up) was 1·37 mL/min per 1·73 m2 per year (95% CI 1·16-1·59), representing a 50% (42-58) reduction in the rate of chronic eGFR decline. This relative effect of empagliflozin on chronic eGFR slope was similar in analyses by different primary kidney diseases, including in explorations by type of glomerular disease and diabetes (p values for heterogeneity all >0·1). INTERPRETATION In a broad range of patients with chronic kidney disease at risk of progression, including a wide range of non-diabetic causes of chronic kidney disease, empagliflozin reduced risk of kidney disease progression. Relative effect sizes were broadly similar irrespective of the cause of primary kidney disease, suggesting that SGLT2 inhibitors should be part of a standard of care to minimise risk of kidney failure in chronic kidney disease. Abstract
Objective: To analyze the survival of newly diagnosed malignant tumors in cancer registration areas of Hubei Province from 2013 to 2015. Methods: From January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2015, all newly diagnosed malignant tumors were collected from cancer registration areas in Hubei Province, and patients were followed up using a combination of active and passive methods. Cancer survival was analyzed using the strs package in Stata software. Observed and expected survival were calculated using the life table and Ederer Ⅱ methods, and the difference in survival rate of patients with different sex, age, urban and rural areas and different cancer species was compared. Results: From 2013 to 2015, 83 987 new malignant tumors were diagnosed in cancer registration areas in Hubei Province, including 45 742 males (54.46%) and 38245 females (45.54%). The overall 5-year relative survival rate was 41.46%, 34.43% for men and 49.63% for women. With the increase of age, the observed survival rate and relative survival rate of patients of different genders showed a decreasing trend. The 5-year relative survival rate of patients with malignant tumors was 47.58% in urban areas and 26.58% in rural areas. The observed survival rate and relative survival rate in rural areas were significantly lower than those in urban areas. The overall 5-year relative survival rates for common malignancies were 20.61% for lung cancer, 15.36% for liver cancer, 22.89% for esophageal cancer, 34.92% for gastric cancer, and 54.87% for colorectal cancer. In addition, the 5-year relative survival rates of common malignant tumors in women were 78.65% for breast cancer and 52.55% for cervical cancer. Conclusions: In Hubei Province, the survival rate of malignant tumors is different among different genders, regions, age groups and cancer species. Prevention and treatment and health education should be strengthened for malignant tumor patients in rural areas and those with high incidence and low survival rate such as liver cancer and lung cancer, and relevant strategies should be formulated according to the gender and age distribution characteristics of different cancer species.

Abstract
Superworm (larve of Zophobas atratus) could consume foams of expanded polystyrene plastics. However, there is no sufficient understanding of the impact of microplastics on superworms and the degradation pathways of polystyrene. Herein, we explored the weight and survival change of superworms while fed with polystyrene microplastics, and found that survival rate and mean weight would reduce. In terms of gut microbial community structure of surperworms, significant shifts were detected with the relative abundance of Hafnia-Obesumbacterium sp. increasing. In addition, we domesticated two microbiota from the gut of superworms, and confirmed their ability to degrade PS in vitro. The last but most important, 1291 metabolites were identified by HPLC-TOF-MS/MS, and six metabolites related to polystyrene degradation were identified through comparative metabolomic analysis. According to the content and pathways of these metabolites, three metabolic pathways of polystyrene were (a) styrene-phenylacetyl-CoA-L-2-aminoadipic acid; (b) styrene-phenylacetyl-CoA-benzaldehyde; (c) styrene-2-hydroxyacetophenone. These results would help to further screen bacteria of PS degradation and investigate PS metabolic pathways in invertebrates.

Abstract
Infrared light driven photocatalytic reduction of atmospheric CO2 is challenging due to the ultralow concentration of CO2 (0.04 %) and the low energy of infrared light. Herein, we develop a metallic nickel-based metal-organic framework loaded with Pt (Pt/Ni-MOF), which shows excellent activity for thermal-photocatalytic conversion of atmospheric CO2 with H2 even under infrared light irradiation. The open Ni sites are beneficial to capture and activate atmospheric CO2 , while the photogenerated electrons dominate H2 dissociation on the Pt sites. Simultaneously, thermal energy results in spilling of the dissociated H2 to Ni sites, where the adsorbed CO2 is thermally reduced to CO and CH4 . The synergistic interplay of dual-active-sites renders Pt/Ni-MOF a record efficiency of 9.57 % at 940 nm for converting atmospheric CO2 , enables the procurement of CO2 to be independent of the emission sources, and improves the energy efficiency for trace CO2 conversion by eliminating the capture media regeneration and molecular CO2 release.

Abstract
Despite suicide in younger population having become a severe public health issue, information on the prevalence of suicidality among Chinese children and adolescents is still limited. This study aims to estimate the prevalence of suicidal ideation, suicide plans, and suicide attempts in Chinese children and adolescents aged under 18 years. A meta-analysis was conducted based on English and Chinese publications from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2020 using random-effects models. Based on 132 eligible studies with a combined total of 1,103,309 Chinese children and adolescents below 18 years old, the pooled prevalence of the overall suicidal ideation, suicide plans, and suicide attempts were 15.4% (95% CI [14.3, 16.6]), 6.4% (95% CI [5.5, 7.4]) and 3.5% (95% CI [3.1, 4.1]), respectively. The subgroup analyses showed that there were significant variations of prevalence of suicidal risks across genders, school stages, and geographical areas in mainland China. It was the first systematic review and meta-analysis to show suicidality among younger population aged below 18 years is prevalent in mainland China. This study suggests that gender-age-region-specific prevention and intervention programs should be urgently needed to reduce suicidal risks among Chinese children and adolescents.

Abstract
Depth data with a predominance of discriminative power in location is advantageous for accurate salient object detection (SOD). Existing RGBD SOD methods have focused on how to properly use depth information for complementary fusion with RGB data, having achieved great success. In this work, we attempt a far more ambitious use of the depth information by injecting the depth maps into the encoder in a single-stream model. Specifically, we propose a depth injection framework (DIF) equipped with an Injection Scheme (IS) and a Depth Injection Module (DIM). The proposed IS enhances the semantic representation of the RGB features in the encoder by directly injecting depth maps into the high-level encoder blocks, while helping our model maintain computational convenience. Our proposed DIM acts as a bridge between the depth maps and the hierarchical RGB features of the encoder and helps the information of two modalities complement and guide each other, contributing to a great fusion effect. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed method can achieve state-of-the-art performance on six RGBD datasets. Moreover, our method can achieve excellent performance on RGBT SOD and our DIM can be easily applied to single-stream SOD models and the transformer architecture, proving a powerful generalization ability.

Abstract
Understanding the elevational patterns of beta diversity in mountain regions is a long-standing problem in biogeography and ecology. Previous research has generally focused on the taxonomy facet on a large scale, but was limited with regard to multi-facet beta diversity. Accordingly, we constructed a multi-dimensional (taxonomic/phylogenetic/functional) framework to analyze the underlying mechanisms of beta diversity. Within an approximately 2000 m altitudinal range (from 2027 m to 3944 m) along the eastern slope of the Meili Snow Mountains in Deqin County, Yunnan Province, China, we performed field surveys of breeding and non-breeding birds in September/2011 and May/2012, respectively. In total, 132 bird species were recorded during the fieldwork. The results indicated that taxonomic beta diversity contributed 56% of the bird species diversity, and its turnover process dominated the altitudinal pattern of taxon beta diversity; beta phylogenetic diversity contributed 42% of the bird phylogenetic diversity, and its turnover process also appeared to be stronger than the nestedness. For both taxonomy and phylogeny, the null models standardized measures (SES.βsim/SES.βsne/SES.βsor) of paired dissimilarities between elevation zones all showed statistically significant differences (p ≤ 0.05) and were higher than expected (SES.β > 0). However, standardized functional beta diversity showed convergence along the elevational gradient with no significant change. Moreover, the functional beta diversity contributed 50% of the bird functional diversity; there was no significant difference between the turnover and the nestedness-resultant component. Based on these results, we discerned that taxonomic and phylogenetic beta diversity patterns among the elevational zone were overdispersed, which indicated that limiting similarity dominated the turnover process among the bird species and phylogenetic communities in the Meili Snow Mountains.

Abstract
Objective: Clinical manifestations, imaging findings, pathologic features, and genetic mutations of Chinese adult patients with cerebrotendinous xanthomatosis (CTX) were analyzed in order to achieve a greater understanding of CTX that can improve early detection, diagnosis, and treatment. Methods: Clinical data including medical history, neurologic and auxiliary examinations, imaging findings, and genetic profile were collected for an adult patient with CTX admitted to the Sixth Medical Center of Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital in August 2020. Additionally, a systematic review of genetically diagnosed Chinese adult CTX cases reported in major databases in China and other countries was performed and age of onset, first symptoms, common signs and symptoms, pathologic findings, imaging changes, and gene mutations were analyzed. Results: The proband was a 39-year-old female with extensive, early-onset nervous system manifestations including cognitive dysfunction and ataxia. Systemic lesions included juvenile cataract and a tendon mass. Cranial magnetic resonance imaging revealed cerebral atrophy, symmetric white matter changes predominantly in the pyramidal tract, and lesions in the cerebellar dentate nucleus. A novel homozygous mutation in the sterol-27-hydroxylase (CYP27A1) gene (c.1477-2A>C) was identified. There were no family members with similar clinical presentation although some were carriers of the c.1477-2A>C mutation. The patient showed a good response to deoxycholic acid treatment. Totally there were 56 cases of adult CTX patients in China, mostly in East China (31/56, 55.4%), at a male-to-female ratio of 1.8 to 1. Multiple organs and tissues including nervous system, tendon, lens, lung, and skeletal muscle were affected in these cases. The most common neurologic manifestations were cognitive dysfunction (44/52, 84.6%) and ataxia (44/51, 86.3%). The cases were characterized by early onset, chronic progressive damage of multiple systems, long disease course, and delayed diagnosis, making the disease difficult to manage clinically and resulting in poor prognosis. The 2 most common genetic mutations in Chinese adult CTX patients were c.1263+1G>A and c.379C>T. Exon 2 of the CYP27A1 gene was identified as a mutation hot spot. Conclusions: Chinese adult patients with CTX have complex clinical characteristics, a long diagnostic cycle, and various CYP27A1 gene mutations. Early diagnosis and intervention can improve the prognosis of these patients.

Abstract
The construction of S-scheme heterojunctions is an effective approach to realize artificial photocatalytic processes. For the higher solar energy conversion efficiency, current research focuses on improving the interfacial intimacy and precisely modulating the strength of the internal electric field (IEF). To address this issue, we propose a novel MOF-based synthesis and derivation strategy. The heterojunction obtained by this strategy tends to form an intimate interface and a tunable IEF, which facilitates the transfer and separation of photogenerated carriers. Herein, a ZnS/ZnIn2S4 (ZIS) S-Scheme heterojunction containing sulfur vacancies (Sv) was successfully synthesized, and its good photocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) activity confirmed the feasibility of this strategy. The prepared Sv-ZnS/ZIS exhibits an apparent quantum yield of 19.8 ± 1.0 % at 420 nm and a hydrogen evolution rate of 2912.3 ± 185.9 μmol g-1h-1, which is 9.0 and 33.6 times higher than pure ZIS and Sv-ZnS, respectively. Furthermore, the yield of photoreduction CO2 to CO reaches 2075.7 ± 63.0 μmol g-1h-1 with a CO selectivity of 93.0 ± 0.8 %. This work provides new sights for the rational design and construction of S-scheme photocatalysts with sulfur vacancies for efficient photocatalysis.

Abstract
PURPOSE Growth hormone-secreting pituitary adenomas (GH-PAs) with a low Knosp grade are typically associated with a good postoperative biochemical remission (BR) rate. However, a proportion of patients do not achieve remission. In this study, we aimed to investigate predictive factors of postoperative remission for lower Knosp GH-PAs. METHODS In this retrospective study, we enrolled 140 patients who were diagnosed with lower Knosp (0-2) GH-PAs and received trans-sphenoidal surgery between December 2016 and June 2021 from the largest pituitary tumor surgery center in southern China. The univariate, binary Logistic regression, and receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) analyses were employed to determine independent predictors and cutoff values of remission. The postoperative outcome was defined as remission using the 2010 consensus criteria of acromegaly. RESULTS One hundred and thirty six patients (97.1%) achieved gross total resection. The postoperative long-term BR was 68.6%. Empty sella, tumor maximum diameter and postoperative GH levels were independent factors predicting remission. ROC revealed that postoperative 24 h GH ≤ 1.3 ng/mL and ≤ 1.23 ng/mL were valuable predictors for 3-month and long-term remission respectively, and that postoperative 3-month GH ≤ 1.6 ng/mL and tumor maximum diameter ≤ 17 mm were predictors for delayed remission. CONCLUSION Early postoperative GH levels can be used as predictors of remission. However, BR was not associated with preoperative somatostatin analogs therapy or Knosp grade (0-2). For patients without residual tumor or recurrence and whose GH levels are slightly elevated within 1 year after surgery, adjuvant treatments may not be necessary.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the clinical safety and diagnostic efficacy of domestic gadoxetate disodium (GdEOBDTPA). Methods: The imaging data from patients with space-occupying liver lesions who underwent GdEOBDTPA enhanced magnetic resonance examination at West China Hospital of Sichuan University between January 2020 and September 2020 were analyzed retrospectively. Clinical indicators were evaluated by the incidental condition of transient severe respiratory motion artifacts (TSM) in the arterial phase to assess the safety profile.The differences in quantitative and qualitative indicators for the risk factors of TSM in the arterial phase between the TSM group and the non-TSM group were compared by t-test and χ2 test. Observational indicators of the accuracy of diagnostic procedures: The 2018 version of the Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) was used to evaluate the main signs, auxiliary signs, and LR grades of lesions. Postoperative pathological findings were used as the gold standard for evaluating and diagnosing hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Simultaneously, the relative enhancement degree of the liver, the contrast between the lesion and the liver, and the cholangiography in the hepatobiliary phase were evaluated. The McNemar test was used to compare the differences in the diagnostic efficiency of physician 1 and physician 2 in the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma according to the 2018 version of LI-RADS. Results: A total of 114 cases were included in this study. The incidence rate of TSM was 9.6% (11/114). Age [(53.8 ± 11.3) years vs. (55.4 ± 15.4) years, t = 0.465, P = 0.497], body weight [(65.8 ± 11.1) kg vs. (60.8 ± 7.6) kg, t = 1.468, P = 0.228], body mass index [(23.9 ± 3.1) kg/m(2) vs. (23.4 ± 3.0) kg/m(2), t = 0.171, P = 0.680], liver cirrhosis ratio (39 cases vs. 4 cases, χ (2) =1.776, P = 0.183), proportion of mild to moderate pleural effusion (32 cases vs. 4 cases, χ (2) = 0.000, P = 0.986), and proportion of mild to moderate ascites (47 cases vs. 5 cases χ (2) = 0.000, P = 0.991) had no statistically significant difference between the groups of non-TSM and TSM patients. According to the 2018 version of LI-RADS for the LR5 category, there was no statistically significant difference between the two physicians' HCC diagnoses in terms of sensitivity (91.4% vs.86.4%, χ (2) = 1.500, P = 0.219), specificity (72.7 % vs. 69.7%, χ (2) = 0.000, P = 1.000), positive predictive value (89.2% vs. 87.5%, χ (2) = 2.250, P = 0.125), negative predictive value (77.4% vs. 67.6%, χ (2) = 2.250, P = 0.125), and accuracy (86.0% vs. 81.6%, χ (2) = 0.131, P = 0.125). According to physicians 1 and 2 film review results, 91.2% (104/114) and 89.5% (102/114) of the contrast agent were discharged into the common bile duct or duodenum, respectively. In addition, 86.0% (98/114) of the patients had good liver enhancement, and 91.2% (104/114) of the lesions showed low signals relative to the liver background. Conclusion: Domestic gadoxetate disodium has a good clinical safety profile and diagnostic efficacy.

Abstract
Recently, chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapy has received increasing attention as an adoptive cellular immunotherapy that targets tumors. However, numerous challenges remain for the effective use of CAR-T to treat solid tumors, including ovarian cancer, which is an aggressive and metastatic cancer with a poor therapeutic response. We screened for an effective anti-MSLN single-chain Fv antibody with comparable binding activity and non-off-target properties using human phage display library. A second-generation of anti-MSLN CAR was designed and generated. We demonstrated the efficacy of our anti-MSLN CAR-T cells for ovarian cancer treatment in an in vitro experiment to kill ovarian tumor cell lines. The anti-MSLN CAR-T cells impeded MSLN-positive tumor growth concomitant with a significant increase in cytokine levels compared with the control. Then, we demonstrated the efficacy of anti-MSLN CAR-T cells in an in vivo experiment against ovarian cancer cell-derived xenografts. Furthermore, we herein report three cases with ovarian cancer who were treated with autologous anti-MSLN CAR-T cells and evaluate the safety and effectiveness of adoptive cell therapy. In this investigator-initiated clinical trials, no patients experienced cytokine release syndrome or neurological symptoms over 2 grads. Disease stabilized in two patients, with progression-free survival times of 5.8 and 4.6 months. Transient CAR expression was detected in patient blood after infusion each time. The tumor partially subsided, and the patient's condition was relieved. In conclusion, this work proves the efficacy of the anti-MSLN CAR-T treatment strategy in ovarian cancer and provides preliminary data for the development of further clinical trials.

Abstract
An 81-year-old woman presented with purpura, petechiae, ecchymoses, flesh or brown-colored waxy, smooth, papules, warty plaque, nail dystrophy and palmodigital erythematous swelling for more than 6 years. She was diagnosed as multiple myeloma-associated systemic amyloidosis after skin subcutaneous histopathological examinations and relevant examinations such as blood and bone marrow. Systemic amyloidosis is closely related with multiple myeloma (MM). Multiple and pleomorphic skin lesions are not usual among patients with multiple myeloma or systemic amyloidosis.

Abstract
In dealing with the expensive multiobjective optimization problem, some algorithms convert it into a number of single-objective subproblems for optimization. At each iteration, these algorithms conduct surrogate-assisted optimization on one or multiple subproblems. However, these subproblems may be unnecessary or resolved. Operating on such subproblems can cause server inefficiencies, especially in the case of expensive optimization. To overcome this shortcoming, we propose an adaptive subproblem selection (ASS) strategy to identify the most promising subproblems for further modeling. To better leverage the cross information between the subproblems, we use the collaborative multioutput Gaussian process surrogate to model them jointly. Moreover, the commonly used acquisition functions (also known as infill criteria) are investigated in this article. Our analysis reveals that these acquisition functions may cause severe imbalances between exploitation and exploration in multiobjective optimization scenarios. Consequently, we develop a new acquisition function, namely, adaptive lower confidence bound (ALCB), to cope with it. The experimental results on three different sets of benchmark problems indicate that our proposed algorithm is competitive. Beyond that, we also quantitatively validate the effectiveness of the ASS strategy, the CoMOGP model, and the ALCB acquisition function.

Abstract
Raman lasing can be a promising way to generate highly coherent chip-based lasers, especially in high-quality (high-Q) crystalline microcavities. Here, we measure the fundamental linewidth of a stimulated Raman laser in an aluminum nitride (AlN)-on-sapphire microcavity with a record Q-factor up to 3.7 million. An inverse relationship between fundamental linewidth and emission power is observed. A limit of the fundamental linewidth, independent of Q-factor, due to Raman-pump-induced Kerr parametric oscillation is derived.

Abstract
A new radio component namely Saturn Anomalous Myriametric Radiation (SAM) is reported. A total of 193 SAM events have been identified by using all the Cassini Saturn orbital data. SAM emissions are L-O mode radio emission and occasionally accompanied by a first harmonic in R-X mode. SAM's intensities decrease with increasing distance from Saturn, suggesting a source near Saturn. SAM has a typical central frequency near 13 kHz, a bandwidth greater than 8 kHz and usually drifts in frequency over time. SAM's duration can extend to near 11 hr and even longer. These features distinguish SAM from the regular narrowband emissions observed in the nearby frequency range, hence the name anomalous. The high occurrence rate of SAM after low frequency extensions of Saturn Kilometric Radiation and the SAM cases observed during compressions of Saturn's magnetosphere suggest a special connection to solar wind dynamics and magnetospheric conditions at Saturn.

Abstract
BACKGROUND No standard of care for mucosal melanoma (MM) in the adjuvant setting has been established. Meanwhile, relapse-free survival (RFS) is only about five months after surgery alone. This phase II trial aimed to compare toripalimab vs. high-dose interferon-α2b (HDI) as an adjuvant therapy for resected MM. PATIENTS AND METHODS From July 2017 to May 2019, 145 patients with resected MM were randomized (1:1) to receive HDI (N = 72) or toripalimab (N = 73) for one year until disease relapse/distant metastasis, unacceptable toxicity, or withdrawal of consent. The primary endpoint was RFS. The secondary endpoints included distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS), overall survival (OS), and safety. RESULTS After a median follow-up of 26.3 months, the numbers of RFS, OS, and DMFS events were 51 vs. 46, 33 vs. 29, and 49 vs. 44 in the toripalimab arm and the HDI arm, respectively. The median RFS were 13.6 (95%CI: 8.31-19.02) months and 13.9 (95%CI: 8.28-19.61) months in the toripalimab arm and HDI arm, respectively. The DMFS was not significantly different between the two arms (HR: 1.00, 95%CI: 0.65-1.54). The median OS was 35.1 months (95%CI: 27.93-NR) in the toripalimab arm, with no significant difference in all-cause death (HR: 1.11, 95% CI: 0.66-1.84) for the two arms. The median sums of the patients' actual infusion doses were 3672 mg and 1054.5 MIU in the toripalimab arm and HDI arm, respectively. The incidence of treatment-emergent adverse events with a grade ≥ 3 was much higher in the HDI arm than in the toripalimab arm (87.5% vs. 27.4%). CONCLUSION Toripalimab showed a similar RFS and a more favorable safety profile than HDI, both better than historical data, suggesting that toripalimab might be the better treatment option. However, additional translational studies and better treatment regimens are still warranted to improve the clinical outcome of MM.

Abstract
To report a typical case of Morvan syndrome with positive anti-leucine rich glioma-inactivated 1(LGI1) and contactin-associated protein 2 (CASPR2) antibodies in serum and cerebrospinal fluid. A 39-years-old female initially presented weakness of extremeties. The main symptoms included paroxysmal limb pain, wheezing, itching, muscle twitching, epilepsy, hypomnesia, dysphoria, apathy, intractable insomnia, salivation and sweating. Tests of electrolytes found hypokalemia (2.7-3.1 mmol/L) and hyponatremia (130-136 mmol/L). Arterial blood gas analysis showed hypoxemia (oxygen saturation 50%-70%). Total thyroxine (TT4) was elevated to 207 nmol/L with positive thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPO-Ab) and thyroglobulin antibody (TG-Ab). LGI1and CASPR2 antibodies (CBA method) were positive in both serum and cerebrospinal fluid, and the remaining antibodies related to autoimmune encephalitis and paraneoplastic syndrome were negative. Head MRI was almost normal, while mild abnormalities were found in electroencephalogram. Electromyography showed slightly increased voltage of left quadriceps motor unit potential. After treated with corticosteroids, IVIG and mycophenolate mofetil, the patient completely improved. Cognitive function scores recovered from MoCA/MMSE (16/24) to MoCA/MMSE (26/29). Positivity of LGI1/CASPR2 antibodies both in serum/cerebrospinal fluid are rarely seen in patients with Morvan syndrome. Steroids and immunosuppressants are suggested for treatment as early as possible.

Abstract
In this work, we propose a novel depth-induced multi-scale recurrent attention network for RGB-D saliency detection, named as DMRA. It achieves dramatic performance especially in complex scenarios. There are four main contributions of our network that are experimentally demonstrated to have significant practical merits. First, we design an effective depth refinement block using residual connections to fully extract and fuse cross-modal complementary cues from RGB and depth streams. Second, depth cues with abundant spatial information are innovatively combined with multi-scale contextual features for accurately locating salient objects. Third, a novel recurrent attention module inspired by Internal Generative Mechanism of human brain is designed to generate more accurate saliency results via comprehensively learning the internal semantic relation of the fused feature and progressively optimizing local details with memory-oriented scene understanding. Finally, a cascaded hierarchical feature fusion strategy is designed to promote efficient information interaction of multi-level contextual features and further improve the contextual representability of model. In addition, we introduce a new real-life RGB-D saliency dataset containing a variety of complex scenarios that has been widely used as a benchmark dataset in recent RGB-D saliency detection research. Extensive empirical experiments demonstrate that our method can accurately identify salient objects and achieve appealing performance against 18 state-of-the-art RGB-D saliency models on nine benchmark datasets.

Abstract
Mathematical approaches, such as compartmental models and agent-based models, have been utilized for modeling the spread of the infectious diseases in the computational epidemiology. However, the role of social network structure for transmission of diseases is not explicitly considered in these models. In this paper, the influence maximization problem, considering the diseases starting at some initial nodes with the potential to maximize the spreading in a social network, is adapted to model the spreading process. This approach includes the analysis of network structure and the modeling of connections among individuals with probabilities to be infected. Additionally, individual behaviors that change along the time and eventually influence the spreading process are also included. These considerations are formulated by integer optimization models. Simulation results, based on the randomly generated networks and a local community network under the COVID-19, are performed to validate the effectiveness of the proposed models, and their relationships to the classic compartmental models.

Abstract
Atherosclerosis is an important pathological basis for cardiovascular disease. Thus, the treatment of atherosclerosis can effectively improve the prognosis and reduce the mortality of cardiovascular diseases. In this study, we developed simvastatin acid (SA)-loaded cross-linked dendrimer nanoparticles (SA PAM) that were adsorbed to the surface of red blood cells (RBCs) to obtain SA PAM@RBCs, a ROS and shear stress dual response drug delivery system for the treatment of atherosclerosis. SA PAM could continuously release SA in an H2O2-triggered manner, and effectively eliminate excessive H2O2 in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells, achieving the target of using the special microenvironment at the plaque to release drugs. At the same time, the shear sensitive model also proved that only 12.4% of SA PAM detached from the RBCs under low shear stress (20 dynes per cm2), while 61.3% SA PAM desorbed from the RBCs under a high shear stress (100 dynes per cm2) stimulus, revealing that SA PAM could desorb in response to the shear stress stimulus. Both the FeCl3 model and ApoE-/- model showed that SA PAM@RBCs had better therapeutic effects than free SA, and with excellent safety in vivo. Therefore, a biomimetic drug delivery system with dual sensitivity to ROS and shear stress would become a promising strategy for the treatment of atherosclerosis.

Abstract
Rechargeable aqueous zinc ion batteries (ZIBs) have attracted more and more attention due to the advantages of high safety, low cost, and environmental friendly in recent years. However, the lack of high-performance cathode materials and uncertain reaction mechanisms hinder the large-scale application of ZIBs. Herein, a 1D structure interlaced by ZnxMnO2 nanowires and carbon nanotubes is synthesized as cathode material for ZIB. The ZnxMnO2/CNTs cathode exhibits excellent specific capacity of 400 mAh g-1 at 100 mA g-1 and outstanding long-cycle stability (with a capacity retention of 93% after 100 cycles at 1000 mA g-1), which indicates the Zn2+ pre-intercalation and composite carbon nanotubes can effectively change the storage space of the tunnel structure and increase the electron transmission rate. In addition, the energy storage mechanism of the highly reversible co-insertion of H+ and Zn2+ is further elaborated. This work has enlightenment and promotion for the future research of ZIBs cathode materials. Moreover, the simple preparation method, low cost and excellent performance of ZnxMnO2/CNTs cathode material provide a new way for the practical application of ZIBs.

Abstract
We study the self-frequency shift of continuously pumped Kerr solitons in AlN-on-sapphire microcavities with Raman gain bandwidths narrower than the cavity free-spectral range. Solitons are generated in ∼230GHz microcavities via high-order mode dispersion engineering. The dependence of the self-frequency shift on soliton pulse width is measured and differs from amorphous material microcavities. Our measurement and simulation reveal the impact of frequency detuning between the cavity resonances and Raman gain peaks, as well as the importance of all three Raman gain peaks. The interplay between the Raman effect and dispersive wave recoil and a potential quiet point are also observed.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Mitral L wave, prominent mid-diastolic filling wave in echocardiographic examinations, is associated with severe left ventricular diastolic dysfunction, and that has been reported to predict recurrent atrial fibrillation (AF) after cardioversion. However, association between mitral L wave and the outcome of AF after radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) has not been established.
Objective
The aim of this study is to evaluate the predictive value of mitral L wave on AF recurrence after RFCA.
Methods
250 patients including 164 paroxysmal AF (65.6%) and 86 non-paroxysmal AF (34.4%) who received RFCA in single center from January 2015 to December 2016 were enrolled consecutively. Echocardiographic examinations before RFCA were recorded, and the mitral L wave was defined as a distinct mid-diastolic flow velocity with a peak velocity ≥20 cm/s following the E wave. Systematic follow-up was conducted after RFCA. Univariate and multivariate analyses were carried out to determine the factors predicting late recurrence of AF (LRAF) which means AF recurrence after 3 months. Enrolled patients were divided into groups with the L wave (L-group; n=57) or without the L wave (NL-group; n=193) based on the findings of echocardiographic examinations.
Results
During a follow-up of 35.0±17.6 months, the ratio of LRAF in the L-group was significantly higher than that in the NL-group (32 (56.1%) vs. 41 (21.2%), Hazard ratio [HR]: 3.55, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 2.33 - 5.42, p<0.001). Among the clinical factors, presence of mitral L wave, BNP value, non-paroxysmal AF and moderate-severe mitral regurgitation were related to LRAF. A multivariate analysis using a Cox proportional hazard model found that presence of mitral L wave (HR: 2.67, 95% CI: 1.30 - 5.48, p=0.007) was significantly associated with LRAF.
Conclusion
This study revealed that mitral L wave predicts late recurrence of AF after RFCA.

Abstract
Sick sinus syndrome (SSS) is a disease with bradycardia or arrhythmia. The pathological mechanism of SSS is mainly due to the abnormal conduction function of the sinoatrial node (SAN) caused by interstitial lesions or fibrosis of the SAN or surrounding tissues, SAN pacing dysfunction, and SAN impulse conduction accompanied by SAN fibrosis. Tongyang Huoxue Decoction (TYHX) is widely used in SSS treatment and amelioration of SAN fibrosis. It has a variety of active ingredients to regulate the redox balance and mitochondrial quality control. This study mainly discusses the mechanism of TYHX in ameliorating calcium homeostasis disorder and redox imbalance of sinoatrial node cells (SANCs) and clarifies the protective mechanism of TYHX on the activity of SANCs. The activity of SANCs was determined by CCK-8 and the TUNEL method. The levels of apoptosis, ROS, and calcium release were analyzed by flow cytometry and immunofluorescence. The mRNA and protein levels of calcium channel regulatory molecules and mitochondrial quality control-related molecules were detected by real-time quantitative PCR and Western Blot. The level of calcium release was detected by laser confocal. It was found that after H/R treatment, the viability of SANCs decreased significantly, the levels of apoptosis and ROS increased, and the cells showed calcium overload, redox imbalance, and mitochondrial dysfunction. After treatment with TYHX, the cell survival level was improved, calcium overload and oxidative stress were inhibited, and mitochondrial energy metabolism and mitochondrial function were restored. However, after the SANCs were treated with siRNA (si-β-tubulin), the regulation of TYHX on calcium homeostasis and redox balance was counteracted. These results suggest that β-tubulin interacts with the regulation of mitochondrial function and calcium release. TYHX may regulate mitochondrial quality control, maintain calcium homeostasis and redox balance, and protect SANCs through β-tubulin. The regulation mechanism of TYHX on mitochondrial quality control may also become a new target for SSS treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (IRI) is a common perioperative complication of heart and great vessels surgery, aggravating the original myocardial damage and seriously affecting the postoperative recovery of cardiac function. The aim of this study was to reveal the functional effects and potential mechanisms of notoginsenoside R1 (NG-R1) in myocardial cells injured by hypoxia-reoxygenation (H/R). METHODS The rat cardiomyocyte line H9c2 was subjected to H/R with or without NG-R1 treatment. The levels of miR-132 and HBEGF in the cell were altered by microRNA or short-hairpin RNA transfection. Cell viability, apoptosis, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and malondialdehyde (MDA) were monitored. Dual luciferin was used to detect the relationship between miR-132 and HBEGF. RESULTS NG-R1 (20 μM) had no impact on H9c2 cells, but cell viability was significantly reduced at 80 μM. NG-R1 (20 μM) protected H9c2 cells against H/R-induced cell damage, accompanied by increased cell viability, reduced cell apoptosis, and downregulation of LDH and MDA. Furthermore, the level of miR-132 was decreased in response to H/R exposure but then increased after NG-R1 treatment. When miR-132 was overexpressed, H/R-induced cell damage could be recovered. Downregulation of miR-132 limited the protective effect of NG-R1 on H/R damage. We also found that HBEGF was a direct target of miR-132. The expression of HBEGF was increased upon H/R damage, and this increase was reversed after NG-R1 treatment. CONCLUSIONS This study demonstrated that NG-R1 markedly protected H9c2 cells against H/R-induced damage via upregulation of miR-132 and downregulation of its target protein HBEGF.

Abstract
The chemical fungicide fludioxonil is widely used to control post-harvest fungal disease in cherries. This study was implemented to investigate the dissipation behaviours and residues of fludioxonil on cherries. A reliable and efficient analytical method was established. Cherry samples from four product areas were analyzed by QuEChERS and HPLC-MS/MS methods with acceptable linearity (R2 > 0.99), accuracy (recoveries of 81–94%), and precision (relative standard deviation of 2.5–11.9%). The limits of quantification (LOQs) and limits of detection (LODs) of cherries were 0.01 mg/kg and 0.005 mg/kg. The dissipation of fludioxonil on cherries followed first order kinetics with half-lives of 33.7–44.7 days. The terminal residues of fludioxonil were all lower than 5.00 mg/kg, which is the MRL recommended by the European Commission. According to Chinese dietary patterns and terminal residue distributions, the risk quotient (RQs) of fludioxonil was 0.61%, revealing that the evaluated cherries exhibited an acceptably low dietary risk to consumers.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to elucidate the molecular mechanism by which antidiuretic hormone (ADH) inhibited osteogenesis in dental follicle stem cells. DESIGN Rat dental follicle stem cells were cultured in osteogenic differentiation medium supplemented with ADH. Alkaline phosphatase enzyme activity, Alizarin Red S staining, MTT assay and RT-qPCR was used to examine ADH's impact on cell mineralization, viability, and osteogenic gene expression. Real-time calcium imaging analysis was performed to identify the ADH receptor and its mechanism of action. RESULTS ADH supplementation to the osteogenic differentiation medium inhibited cell mineralization without compromising cell viability and downregulated the expression of key osteogenic genes: DCN (Decorin), RUNX2 (Runt-related transcription factor 2) and BSP (Bone sialoprotein). Real-time calcium imaging analysis revealed that ADH (1-1000 nM) increased intracellular calcium in a concentration-dependent manner. Pretreatment of cells with V2255, a V1a receptor blocker, inhibited the calcium signals, but not with the V1b (Nelivaptan) or V2 (Tolvaptan). V2255 also reversed the inhibitory effect of ADH on osteogenesis. Furthermore, U73122, a Phospholipase C (PLC) inhibitor, 2-APB, an Inositol Triphosphate (IP3) receptor blocker, and depletion of endoplasmic reticulum calcium stores abolished the calcium signals by ADH. CONCLUSIONS Our results demonstrated that ADH activates V1a receptors and the PLC-IP3 pathway to stimulate intracellular calcium signals, which inhibits cell mineralization and osteogenic gene expression. These findings uncovered a novel function for ADH as a negative regulator of osteogenesis in dental follicle stem cells. The role of ADH in the pathogenesis of bone diseases remains to be determined.

Abstract
Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are well-known important initiating factors required for atherosclerosis formation, which leads to endothelial dysfunction and plaque formation. Most of the existing antithrombotic therapies use ROS-responsive drug delivery systems, which have a certain therapeutic effect but cannot eliminate excess ROS. Therefore, the atherosclerosis cannot be treated from the source. Moreover, nanoparticles are easily cleared by the immune system during blood circulation, which is not conducive to long-term circulation. In this study, we developed an intelligent response system that could simultaneously respond to ROS and the shear stress microenvironment of atherosclerotic plaques. This system was formed by red blood cells (RBCs) and simvastatin-loaded micelles (SV MC). The micelles consisted of poly(glycidyl methacrylate)-polypropylene sulfide (PGED-PPS). The hydrophobic PPS could react with excess ROS to become hydrophilic, which forced the micelle rupture, resulting in drug release. Most importantly, PPS could also significantly deplete the ROS level, realizing the synergistic treatment of atherosclerosis with drugs and materials. The positively charged SV MC and negatively charged RBCs were self-assembled through electrostatic adsorption to obtain SV MC@RBCs. The SV MC@RBCs could respond to the high shear stress at the atherosclerotic plaque, and the shear stress induced SV MC desorption from the RBC surface. Using biomimetic methods to evade the SV MC@RBCs elimination by the immune system and to reduce the ROS plays a vital role in improving atherosclerosis treatment. The results of in vitro and in vivo experiments showed that SV MC@RBCs could effectively treat atherosclerosis. Moreover, not only does the SV MC@RBCs system avoid the risk of bleeding, but it also has excellent in vivo safety. The study results indicate that the SV MC@RBCs system is a promising therapeutic nanomedicine for treating ROS-related diseases.

Abstract
The objective of this study was to evaluate the histopathological effect of gas explosion on rats, and to explore the metabolic alterations associated with gas explosion-induced acute blast lung injury (ABLI) in real roadway environment using metabolomics analyses. All rats were exposed to the gas explosion source at different distance points (160 m and 240 m) except the control group. Respiratory function indexes were monitored and lung tissue analysis was performed to correlate histopathological effect to serum metabolomics. Their sera samples were collected to measure the metabolic alterations by ultra-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS). HE staining in lung showed that the gas explosion caused obvious inflammatory pulmonary injury, which was consistent with respiratory function monitoring results and the serum metabolomics analysis results. The metabolomics identified 9 significantly metabolites different between the control- and ABLI rats. 2-aminoadipic acid, L-methionine, L-alanine, L-lysine, L-threonine, cholic acid and L-histidine were significantly increased in the exposed groups. Citric acid and aconitic acid were significantly decreased after exposure. Pathway analyses identified 8 perturbed metabolic pathways, which provided novel potential mechanisms for the gas explosion-induced ABLI. Therefore, metabolomics analysis identified both known and unknown alterations in circulating biomarkers, adding an integral mechanistic insight into the gas explosion-induced ABLI in real roadway environment.

Abstract
Pure quartic soliton (PQS) is a new class of solitons demonstrated in recent years and provides innovations in nonlinear optics and its applications. Generating PQSs in micro-cavities offers a novel way to achieve coherent microcombs, presenting a promising application potential. Here we numerically investigate the PQS generation in a dispersion-engineered aluminum nitride (AlN) micro-cavity. To support PQS, a well-designed shallow-trench waveguide structure is adopted, which is feasible to be fabricated. The structure exhibits a dominant fourth-order dispersion reaching up to -5.35×10-3 ps4/km. PQSs can be generated in this AlN micro-cavity in the presence of all-order-dispersion and stimulated Raman scattering. Spectral recoil and soliton self-frequency shift are observed in the PQS spectrum. Furthermore, we find that due to the narrow Raman gain spectrum of crystalline AlN, the PQS evolves directly to chaos rather than turning into a breather. The threshold pump power with which the PQS turns into chaos is also theoretically calculated, which squares with the simulation results.

Abstract
Pure quartic solitons (PQSs) are a unique class of solitons advantageous for developing promising applications due to their broad and flat-top spectrum, as well as the distinctive energy scaling law. Here we investigate the characteristics and dynamics of the PQS in the presence of the Raman effect based on Kerr microresonators. Stimulated Raman scattering leads to reduced pulse peak power, self-frequency shifts, and distortion of the symmetry pulse shape of the PQS. Besides, dynamical evolution of the Raman PQS, especially the breathing state, is investigated. We discover the appearance of an intermediate stable state between the existence region of breathers and chaos in the parameter space, which has not been discovered yet in other soliton regimes. A stability analysis is performed to investigate the spatial dynamics in the context of the Raman PQS.
