Abstract
Saliva has emerged as a promising noninvasive biofluid for the diagnosis of oral and systemic diseases, including viral infections. During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, a growing number of studies focused on saliva-based detection of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). Taking advantage of the WoS core collection (WoSCC) and CiteSpace, we retrieved 1021 articles related to saliva-based detection of SARS-CoV-2 and conducted a comprehensive bibliometric analysis. We analyzed countries, institutions, authors, cited authors, and cited journals to summarize their contribution and influence and analyzed keywords to explore research hotspots and trends. From 2020 to 2021, research focused on viral transmission via saliva and verification of saliva as a reliable specimen, whereas from 2021 to the present, the focus of research has switched to saliva-based biosensors for SARS-CoV-2 detection. By far, saliva has been verified as a reliable specimen for SARS-CoV-2 detection, although a standardized procedure for saliva sampling and processing is needed. Studies on saliva-based detection of SARS-CoV-2 will promote the development of saliva-based diagnostics and biosensors for viral detection. Collectively, our findings could provide valuable information to help scientists perceive the basic knowledge landscapes on saliva-based detection of SARS-CoV-2, the past and current research hotspots, and future opportunities.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Pasteurella multocida is a zoonotic pathogen that mainly causes local skin and soft tissue infections in the human body through cat and dog bites. It rarely causes bacteraemia (or sepsis) and meningitis. We reported a case of septic shock and meningitis caused by P. multocida in a patient without a history of cat and dog bites. CASE PRESENTATION An 84-year-old male patient was urgently sent to the emergency department after he was found with unclear consciousness for 8 h, accompanied by limb tremors and urinary incontinence. In the subsequent examination, P. multocida was detected in the blood culture and wound secretion samples of the patient. However, it was not detected in the cerebrospinal fluid culture, but its DNA sequence was detected. Therefore, the patient was clearly diagnosed with septic shock and meningitis caused by P. multocida. The patient had no history of cat or dog contact or bite. The patient was subsequently treated with a combination of penicillin G, doxycycline, and ceftriaxone, and he was discharged after 35 days of hospitalisation. CONCLUSION This report presented a rare case of septic shock and meningitis caused by P. multocida, which was not related to a cat or dog bite. Clinical doctors should consider P. multocida as a possible cause of sepsis or meningitis and should be aware of its potential seriousness even in the absence of animal bites.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Multiple myeloma (MM) is a prevalent hematological tumor, and recent clinical data have highlighted the significance of atrial fibrillation (AF) as a crucial complication affecting the prognosis of MM. This review aims to consolidate findings from published clinical studies, focusing on the epidemiological characteristics of AF in MM patients and the associated risks arising from MM treatments such as autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, proteasome inhibitors, and immunomodulatory agents. MAIN BODY While existing data partially demonstrate a strong correlation between MM and AF, further clinical studies are necessary to comprehensively investigate their association. These studies should encompass various aspects, including the risk of AF resulting from MM treatment, the impact of AF-induced embolic events and heart failure on MM prognosis, as well as the influence of AF management methods like catheter ablation or left atrial appendage closure on MM prognosis. CONCLUSIONS The supplementation of future data will provide more precise guidance for managing MM patients. By incorporating information regarding AF risk associated with MM treatment and examining the effects of AF management strategies on MM prognosis, healthcare professionals can enhance their decision-making process when caring for individuals with MM.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Vitreous floaters are a common ocular condition that affects individuals of all ages. Although vitreous floaters are typically benign, they can significantly impair visual acuity and quality of life. Laser vitreolysis, which uses an Nd: YAG laser to vaporize collagenous vitreous opacities, is increasingly being used as a treatment option. However, there is currently a lack of evidence regarding its efficacy and the appropriate timing of its application. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of early intervention with YAG laser vitreolysis in treating symptomatic vitreous floaters. METHODS The present study is a randomized, controlled, double-blind clinical trial. A total of 70 participants with symptomatic floaters for 1 month were prospectively recruited. These participants will be randomly assigned to two groups, with 35 individuals in each group: the early treatment group and the delayed treatment group. Participants assigned to the early treatment group will undergo YAG laser vitreolysis immediately, followed by a sham laser treatment 3 months later. On the other hand, participants assigned to the delayed treatment group will receive a sham laser treatment and then undergo YAG laser vitreolysis 3 months later. The follow-up time points will be 1, 3, 6, and 12 months from randomization. Primary outcomes will be participants' self-reported improvement in visual disturbance on a scale of 1 to 10 and their scores on the National Eye Institute Visual Functioning Questionnaire 25 (NEI VFQ-25). Secondary outcomes will be an objective evaluation of the effectiveness of the treatment in reducing vitreous floaters through OCT and fundus photography and tracking any adverse events related to the eyes or overall health. DISCUSSION This clinical trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of YAG laser vitreolysis in treating symptomatic vitreous floaters and assess the safety of performing early intervention with YAG laser vitreolysis. Abstract
The treatment of diabetic skin defects comes with enormous challenges in the clinic due to the disordered metabolic microenvironment. In this study, we therefore designed a novel composite hydrogel (SISAM@HN) with bioactive factors and tissue adhesive properties for accelerating chronic diabetic wound healing. Hyaluronic acid (HA) modified by N-(2-aminoethyl)-4-(4-(hydroxymethyl)-2-methoxy-5-nitrosophenoxy) butanamide (NB) held the phototriggering tissue adhesive capacity. Decellularized small intestinal submucosa (SIS) was degreased and digested to form the acellular matrix, which facilitated bioactive factor release. The results of the burst pressure test demonstrated that the in situ formed hydrogel possessed a tissue adhesive property. In vitro experiments, based on bone marrow stromal cells, revealed that the SIS acellular matrix-containing hydrogel contributed to promoting cell proliferation. In vivo, a diabetic mouse model was created and used to evaluate the tissue regeneration function of the obtained hydrogel, and our results showed that the synthesized hydrogel could assist collagen deposition, attenuate inflammation, and foster vascular growth during the wound healing process. Overall, the SIS acellular matrix-containing HA hydrogel was able to adhere to the wound sites, promote cell proliferation, and facilitate angiogenesis, which would be a promising biomaterial for wound dressing in clinical therapy of diabetic skin defects.

Abstract
This study compared the levels of circulating B cell subpopulations in patients with different stages of chronic kidney disease (CKD), investigated the effects of haemodialysis (HD) on the B cell-related immune spectrum in patients with end-stage renal disease, and evaluated the link between renal function and immune homeostasis. Overall, 197 patients with CKD (158 non-dialysis patients with CKD stages I-V and 39 end-stage patients undergoing maintenance HD) and 77 healthy controls were included. Compared to healthy controls, patients with CKD stages I-II showed no significant differences except for the proportion of transitional B cells; patients with CKD stage V showed a significant decrease in the proportions of transitional B cells and CD5+ B cells and a significant increase in double-negative (DN) B cells. Compared with early-stage patients with CKD, the absolute count of various B cell subpopulations in advanced-stage patients with CKD showed a significant decrease. The distribution of circulating B cell subpopulations in patients with CKD was significantly altered and was associated with CKD progression. Furthermore, the proportion of DN B cells and CD5+ B cells was inconsistent pre- and post-HD. This in-depth study of the immune status of patients with CKD may have important clinical value.

Abstract
Oxidative stress and abnormal glucose metabolism are the important physiological mechanisms in the occurrence and development of diabetes. Antioxidant peptides have been reported to attenuate diabetes complications by regulating levels of oxidative stress, but few studies have focused on peptides from marine bone collagen. In this study, we prepared the peptides with a molecular weight of less than 1 kD (HNCP) by enzymolysis and ultrafiltration derived from Harpadon nehereus bone collagen. Furthermore, the effects of HNCP on blood glucose, blood lipid, liver structure and function, oxidative stress, and glucose metabolism were studied using HE staining, kit detection, and Western blotting experiment in streptozocin-induced type 1 diabetes mice. After the 240 mg/kg HNCP treatment, the levels of blood glucose, triglyceride (TG), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) in streptozotocin-induced diabetes mice decreased by 32.8%, 42.2%, and 43.2%, respectively, while the levels of serum insulin and hepatic glycogen increased by 142.0% and 96.4%, respectively. The antioxidant enzymes levels and liver function in the diabetic mice were markedly improved after HNCP intervention. In addition, the levels of nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), glucokinase (GK), and phosphorylation of glycogen synthase kinase-3 (p-GSK3β) in the liver were markedly up-regulated after HNCP treatment, but the glucose-6-phosphatase (G6Pase) and phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase1 (PEPCK1) were down-regulated. In conclusion, HNCP could attenuate oxidative stress, reduce blood glucose, and improve glycolipid metabolism in streptozocin-induced type 1 diabetes mice.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Sleep disturbance is a common problem in the general population. Sleep deprivation or dysfunction can have profound health consequences. However, how sleep duration is associated with thyroid function remains unclear. This study was thus developed to examine the association between sleep duration and thyroid function in the US adult population. METHODS A total of 8102 participants from the NHANES 2007-2012 dataset were included in this study. Weighted data analyses were conducted, and the link between sleep duration and thyroid function was probed using linear regression models with smoothed curve fitting. Stratified analyses were also performed. RESULTS Weighted mean (standard deviation) values for study variables were as follows: sleep duration 6.85 (0.02) hours, thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) 1.86 (0.03) mIU/ml, serum free T3 3.20 (0. 01) pg/mL, serum free T4 0.80 (0.01) ng/dL, serum total T3 115.12 (0.64) ng/dL, serum total T4 7.81 (0.04) ug/dL, TPOAb 16.20 (1.53) IU/mL, TgAb 5.75 (0.73) IU/mL, and Tg 15.11 (0.46) ng/mL. In unadjusted analyses, increased sleep duration was associated with higher serum TSH levels and decreased FT3 levels. After adjustment for potential confounders, a significant negative relationship was detected between sleep duration and FT3 levels in participants with ≤7 hours of sleep. When sleep duration exceeded 7 hours, no significant changes in FT3 levels were observed after further increases in sleep duration. CONCLUSION Increased sleep duration was related to decreased FT3 levels, primarily at short sleep durations, and this correlation was no longer evident when participants reached the recommended healthy sleep duration.

Abstract
Sepsis, a life-threatening condition caused by an inflammatory response to systemic infection, results in a significant social burden and healthcare costs. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the C-reactive protein (CRP) trajectories of patients with sepsis in the intensive care unit (ICU) and the in-hospital mortality rate. We reviewed 1464 patients with sepsis treated in the ICU of Dongyang People's Hospital from 2010 to 2020 and used latent growth mixture modeling to divide the patients into four classes according to CRP trajectory (intermediate, gradually increasing, persistently high, and persistently low CRP levels). We found that patients with intermediate and persistently high CRP levels had the lowest (18.1%) and highest (32.6%) in-hospital mortality rates, respectively. Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that patients with persistently high (odds ratio [OR] = 2.19, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 1.55-3.11) and persistently low (OR = 1.41, 95% CI = 1.03-1.94) CRP levels had a higher risk of in-hospital mortality than patients with intermediate CRP levels. In conclusion, in-hospital mortality rates among patients with sepsis differ according to the CRP trajectory, with patients with intermediate CRP levels having the lowest mortality rate. Further research on the underlying mechanisms is warranted.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Researchers have developed the Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII) as a tool to quantify the inflammatory potential of a given diet. Higher DII scores indicated a more proinflammatory diet. While inflammation is known to have a strong impact on thyroid function, the precise nature of the association between DII scores and thyroid function has yet to be clarified. This study was conducted with the goal of exploring this relationship in a representative population of adults from the United States. METHODS For this study, we used data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Standardized questionnaires were used to collect demographic and dietary data from the participants, and laboratory tests were used to collect data on the participants' thyroid parameters and other relevant data. Linear regression models and smoothed curve fitting were used to assess the relationship between DII scores and thyroid function, with weighted data analyses and subgroup analyses being conducted as appropriate. RESULTS In total, 7712 subjects were recruited from the NHANES 2007-2012 cohort. Their weighted mean age was 44.87 (0.47) years, mean DII score was 1.41 (0.05). Mean FT3 was 3.20 (0.01) pg/mL and mean TT4 was 7.81 (0.03) µg/dL. In adjusted analyses, higher DII values were related to increases in FT3 (β = .007; p = .027) and TT4 (β = .050; p = .005) levels. Subgroup analyses showed a negative correlation between FT3 levels and DII scores in a population with high urinary iodine concentrations. CONCLUSION These data indicate that the consumption of a more proinflammatory diet, as evidenced by elevated DII scores, is correlated with significant increases in FT3 and TT4 levels. However, for people with high urinary iodine concentrations, a more proinflammatory diet was associated with lower FT3 levels. Additional research will be vital to clarify the mechanistic basis for these findings.

Abstract
Highly photoactive 3D nanoflower-like FeIn2S4/CdS heterostructures were synthesized by hydrothermal treatment and low-temperature cation exchange. The FeIn2S4/CdS displayed 14.5 times signal amplification in contrast to FeIn2S4 alone. It was applied as a photoactive substrate to construct a label-free photoelectrochemical (PEC) aptasensor for ultrasensitive determination of kanamycin (KAN). Under the optimal conditions, the constructed PEC aptasensor displayed a wide linear range (5.0 × 10-4 ~ 5.0 × 101 ng mL-1) and a low detection limit (S/N = 3) of 40.01 fg mL-1. This study provides some constructive insights for preparation of advanced photoactive materials and exhibits great potential for quantitative determination of antibiotics in foods and environmental samples.

Abstract
A split-type photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensor was designed for the detection of profenofos (PFF) depending on the magnetic-assisted exciton-plasmon interactions (EPI) between the semiconductor substrate and Au NPs. The core-shell Bi2S3 nanorods@MoS2 nanosheets (Bi2S3 NRs@MoS2 NSs) heterostructure nanomaterial with fascinating performance was synthesized and used as the photovoltaic conversion substrate and signal molecules absorption platform. The PEC sensor is operated by co-incubating with the released Au NPs-cDNA from the surface of magnetic beads, originating from the target-triggered DNA double-stranded structure opening event. Due to the strong EPI effects, the photocurrent of Bi2S3 NRs@MoS2 NSs decreased and varied with the PFF concentrations. The proposed PEC sensor exhibited outstanding analytical performances, including a wide linear range (1.0 pg mL-1~1.0 μg mL-1), low detection limitation (0.23 pg mL-1, at 3 σ/m), excellent specificity, high stability, and applicability. Overall, this work provides a new signal strategy for PEC biosensors and extends its application in environmental analysis.

Abstract
Objective The aim of this study was to examine the factors influencing the prognosis of patients diagnosed with acute basilar artery occlusion (BAO) who receive endovascular treatment. Our particular emphasis was on the predictive implications of the time window for treatment (from symptom onset to femoral artery puncture) and preoperative symptoms for prognosis. Methods A retrospective analysis of data collected from 51 BAO patients who received endovascular treatment at the Neurosurgery Department of Jinhua Central Hospital from April 2018 to October 2021 was undertaken. The data included immediate post-interventional recanalization rates and the 90-day clinical prognoses of the patients. We used the Modified Rankin Scale (mRs) to categorize patients into two prognosis groups: a favorable prognosis group (mRs score ≤2) and an unfavorable prognosis group (mRs score >2). Preoperative symptoms were gauged using the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) scores. A logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify risk factors affecting the prognosis of BAO patients following endovascular treatment. Results The procedure resulted in complete recanalization in all patients (100%). However, four patients (7.8%) passed away during the postoperative hospitalization period. The remaining 47 patients were followed up for 3 months. It was found that 15 patients (31.91%) had a favorable prognosis, while 32 (68.09%) had an unfavorable prognosis. It was generally observed that patients with an unfavorable prognosis had notably higher preoperative GCS and NIHSS scores (p < 0.05). Logistic regression analysis revealed that preoperative symptom severity, as indicated by NIHSS score, and treatment time window were significant prognostic risk factors for patients undergoing endovascular treatment for BAO (p < 0.05). Conclusion Endovascular intervention for BAO appears to be safe and effective, with greater likelihood of a favorable prognosis in patients treated within ≤6 h. The chances of favorable prognosis could potentially be linked to the severity of the patient's preoperative symptoms.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) are commonly used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and have been found to worsen the reduction of skeletal muscle mass in individuals with T2DM. This study aims to examine the potential of exercise in mitigating the skeletal muscle atrophy induced by SGLT2i treatment. METHODS A rat model of T2DM (40 male Sprague-Dawley rats; T2DM induced by a combination of high-fat diet and streptozotocin) was used to examine the effects of six-week treatment with Dapagliflozin (DAPA, SGLT2i) in combination with either aerobic exercise (AE) or resistance training (RT) on skeletal muscle. T2DM-eligible rats were randomized into the T2DM control group (CON, n = 6), DAPA treatment group (DAPA, n = 6), DAPA combined with aerobic exercise intervention group (DAPA + AE, n = 6), and DAPA combined with resistance training intervention group (DAPA + RT, n = 6). To assess the morphological changes in skeletal muscle, myosin ATPase and HE staining were performed. mRNA expression levels of Atrogin-1, MuRF1, and Myostatin were determined using quantitative PCR. Furthermore, protein expression levels of AKT, p70S6K, mTOR, FoXO1/3A, NF-κB, and MuRF1 were examined through western blotting. RESULTS Both the administration of DAPA alone and the combined exercise intervention with DAPA resulted in significant reductions in blood glucose levels and body weight in rats. However, DAPA alone administration led to a decrease in skeletal muscle mass, whereas RT significantly increased skeletal muscle mass and muscle fiber cross-sectional area. The DAPA + RT group exhibited notable increases in both total protein levels and phosphorylation levels of AKT and p70S6K in skeletal muscle. Moreover, the DAPA, DAPA + AE, and DAPA + RT groups demonstrated downregulation of protein expression (FoXO1/3A) and mRNA levels (Atrogin-1, MuRF1, and Myostatin) associated with muscle atrophy. CONCLUSIONS Our findings provide support for the notion that dapagliflozin may induce skeletal muscle atrophy through mechanisms unrelated to protein metabolism impairment in skeletal muscle, as it does not hinder protein metabolic pathways while reduces muscle atrophy-related genes. Additionally, our observations reveal that RT proves more effective than AE in enhancing skeletal muscle mass and muscle fiber cross-sectional area in rats with T2DM by stimulating protein anabolism within the skeletal muscle.

Abstract
Manganese oxide octahedral molecular sieves (OMS-2) exhibit an excellent performance in ozone catalytic decomposition in dry atmosphere conditions, which however is severely limited by deactivation in humid conditions. Herein, it was found that the OMS-2 materials modified with Cu species could obviously improve both the ozone decomposition activity and water resistance. Based on the characterization results, it was found that these CuOx/OMS-2 catalysts exhibited dispersed CuOx nanosheets attached and located at the external surface accompanied with ionic Cu species entering the MnO6 octahedral framework of OMS-2. In addition, it was demonstrated that the main reason for the promotion of ozone catalytic decomposition could be ascribed to the combined effect of different Cu species in these catalysts. On the one hand, ionic Cu entered the MnO6 octahedral framework of OMS-2 near the catalyst surface and substituted ionic Mn species, resulting in an enhanced mobility of surface oxygen species and formation of more oxygen vacancies, which act as the active sites for ozone decomposition. On the other hand, the CuOx nanosheets could serve as non-oxygen vacancy sites for H2O adsorption, which could alleviate the catalyst deactivation to some extent caused by the occupancy of H2O on surface oxygen vacancies. Finally, different reaction pathways for ozone catalytic decomposition over OMS-2 and CuOx/OMS-2 under humid conditions were proposed. The findings in this work may shed new light on the design of highly efficient catalysts for ozone decomposition with improved water resistance.

Abstract
Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common postoperative complication among patients in the neurological intensive care unit (NICU), often resulting in poor prognosis and high mortality. In this retrospective cohort study, we established a model for predicting AKI following brain surgery based on an ensemble machine learning algorithm using data from 582 postoperative patients admitted to the NICU at the Dongyang People's Hospital from March 1, 2017, to January 31, 2020. Demographic, clinical, and intraoperative data were collected. Four machine learning algorithms (C5.0, support vector machine, Bayes, and XGBoost) were used to develop the ensemble algorithm. The AKI incidence in critically ill patients after brain surgery was 20.8%. Intraoperative blood pressure; postoperative oxygenation index; oxygen saturation; and creatinine, albumin, urea, and calcium levels were associated with the postoperative AKI occurrence. The area under the curve value for the ensembled model was 0.85. The accuracy, precision, specificity, recall, and balanced accuracy values were 0.81, 0.86, 0.44, 0.91, and 0.68, respectively, indicating good predictive ability. Ultimately, the models using perioperative variables exhibited good discriminatory ability for early prediction of postoperative AKI risk in patients admitted to the NICU. Thus, the ensemble machine learning algorithm may be a valuable tool for forecasting AKI.

Abstract
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in-hospital preparations are approved for use only in the hospital where they are prepared. They are widely used in China because of their efficacy and affordable price. However, few researchers focused on their quality controls and treatment mechanisms, for which a key consideration is the elucidation of their chemical composition. Runyan mixture (RY) is a typical in-hospital TCM preparation comprising a formula of eight herbal drugs used for adjuvant therapy of upper respiratory tract infections. The chemical constituents of formulated RY have not yet been elucidated. In the present work, RY was analyzed by a ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography system equipped with high-resolution orbitrap mass spectrometry (MS). The acquired MS data were processed by MZmine and a feature-based molecular networking was constructed to identify the metabolites of RY. 165 compounds including 41 flavonoid O-glycosides, 11 flavonoid C-glycosides, 18 quinic acids, 54 coumaric acids, 11 iridoids, and 30 others were identified. This study demonstrates an efficient method to identify compounds in complex herbal drug mixtures using high-resolution MS and molecular networking tools which will support future research into quality controls and treatment mechanisms of in-hospital TCM preparations.

Abstract
In quasi-induced exposure (QIE) theory, the presence of hazardous driving action is the typical determinant of the driver's responsibility for a crash. However, there is a lack of effort available to analyze the impacts of hazardous actions on the QIE estimate, which may result in estimation bias. Thus, the study aims to explore the difference in QIE to crashes involving various hazardous driving actions. Chi-square test is conducted to examine the consistency of non-responsible party distributions among the crashes involving various hazardous actions. Multinomial logit model and nested logit model are employed to identify the disparities of contributing factors to the actions. Results indicate that: 1) the estimated exposures appear to be inconsistent among the crashes with different hazardous actions, 2) driving cohorts have differential propensities of performing various hazardous actions, and 3) factors such as driver-vehicle characteristics, time, area, and environmental condition significantly affect the occurrence of hazardous actions while the directions and magnitude of the effects show great disparities for various actions. It can be concluded that the QIE estimates are significantly different for crashes involving various hazardous actions, which serves to highlight the importance of clarifying the specific hazardous actions for responsibility assignment in QIE theory.

Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the feasibility of 3D left ventricular global and regional strain by using one breath-hold (BH) compressed sensing cine (CSC) protocol and determine the agreement between CSC and conventional cine (CC) protocols.MethodsA total of 30 volunteers were enrolled in this study. Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) images were acquired using a 1.436 T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system. The CSC protocols included one BH CSC and the shortest BH CSC protocols with different parameters and were only performed in short-axis (SA) view following CC protocols. Left ventricular (LV) end-diastole volume (EDV), end-systole volume (ESV), stroke volume (SV), and ejection fraction (EF) global and regional strain were calculated by CC, one BH CSC, and shortest BH CSC protocols. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and coefficient of variance (CV) of these parameters were used to determine the agreement between different acquisitions.ResultsThe agreement of all volumetric variables and EF between the CC protocol and one BH CSC protocol was excellent (ICC > 0.9). EDV, ESV, and SV between CC and shortest BH CSC protocols also had a remarkable coherence (ICC > 0.9). The agreement of 3D LV global strain assessment between CC protocol and one BH CSC protocol was good (ICC > 0.8). Most CVs of variables were also good (CV < 15%). ICCs of all variables were lower than 0.8. CVs of all parameters were higher than 15% except global longitudinal strain (GLS) between CC and shortest BH CSC protocols. The agreement of regional strain between CC and BH CSC protocols was heterogeneous (-0.2 < ICC < 0.7). Many variables of CVs were poor.ConclusionNotably, one BH CSC protocol can be used for 3D global strain analysis, along with a good correlation with the CC protocol. The regional strain should continue to be computed by the CC protocol due to poor agreement and a remarkable variation between the protocols. The shortest BH CSC protocol was insufficient to replace the CC protocol for 3D global and regional strain.

Abstract
Given the numerous industrial applications of zeolites as adsorbents, catalysts, and ion-exchangers, the development of new zeolite structures is highly desired to expand their practical applications. Currently, a general route to develop new zeolite structures is to use interlayer expansion agents to connect layered silicates. In this review, we briefly summarize the novel zeolite structures constructed from the lamellar precursor zeolites MWW, RUB-36, PREFER, Nu-6(1), COK-5, and PLS-1 via interlayer expansion. The contents of the summary contain detailed experiments, physicochemical characterizations, possible expansion mechanisms, and catalytic properties. In addition, the insertion of metal heteroatoms (such as Ti, Fe, Sn) into the layered zeolite precursor through interlayer expansion, which could be helpful to modify the catalytic function, is discussed.

Abstract
Background Paravertebral block (PVB) is the most recognized regional anesthesia technique after thoracic epidural anesthesia for postoperative analgesia in thoracic and breast surgery. Erector spinae plane block (ESPB) is a recently discovered blocking technique, and it has evidenced excellent postoperative analgesia for breast and thoracic surgery with fewer adverse reactions. However, there are controversies about the postoperative analgesic effects of the two analgesic techniques. Objective To assess the analgesic effects of PVB versus ESPB in postoperative thoracic and breast surgery. Methods We systematically searched PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect databases up to April 5, 2021. The primary outcome was postoperative pain scores. Secondary outcomes included: opioid consumption, additional analgesia, postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) 24 hours post-operation, and the time required for completing block procedure. This study was registered in PROSPERO, number CRD42021246160. Results After screening relevant, full-text articles, ten randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that met the inclusion criteria were retrieved for this meta-analysis. Six studies involved thoracic surgery patients, and four included breast surgery patients. Thoracic surgery studies included all of the outcomes involved in this meta-analysis while breast surgery did not report pain scores at movement and additional analgesia in 24 hours post-operation. For thoracic surgery, PVB resulted in significant reduction in the following pain scores: 0–1 hours (MD = -0.79, 95% CI: -1.54 to -0.03, P = 0.04), 4–6 hours (MD = -0.31, 95% CI: -0.57 to -0.05, P = 0.02), and 24 hours (MD = -0.42, 95% CI: -0.81 to -0.02, P = 0.04) at rest; significant reduction in pain scores at 4–6 hours (MD = -0.47, 95% CI: -0.93 to -0.01, P = 0.04), 8–12 hours (MD = -1.09, 95% CI: -2.13 to -0.04, P = 0.04), and 24 hours (MD = -0.31, 95% CI: -0.57 to -0.06, P = 0.01) at movement. Moreover, the opioid consumption at 24 hours post-operation (MD = -2.74, 95% CI: -5.41 to -0.07, P = 0.04) and the incidence of additional analgesia in 24 hours of the postoperative course (RR: 0.53, 95% CI: 0.29 to 0.97, P = 0.04) were significantly lower in the PVB group than in the ESPB group for thoracic surgery. However, no significant differences were found in pain scores at rest at various time points postoperatively, and opioid consumption at 24 hours post-operation for breast surgery. The time required for completing block procedure was longer in the PVB group than in the ESPB group for thoracic and breast surgery, and the incidence of PONV between the two groups showed no significant difference. Conclusion The postoperative analgesic effects of PVB versus ESPB are distinguished by the surgical site. For thoracic surgery, the postoperative analgesic effect of PVB is better than that of ESPB. For breast surgery, the postoperative analgesic effects of PVB and ESPB are similar.

Abstract
RATIONALE The incidence of nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is high. Most nonsmall cell lung cancers have undergone multiple metastases at the time of initial diagnosis, and the 5 year survival rate is low. At present, comprehensive treatments, including systemic chemotherapy, targeted therapy, antiangiogenic therapy, and immunotherapy, prolong the survival of patients with advanced NSCLC. Herein, we report a case of NSCLC with long-term survival. PATIENT CONCERNS A 61-year-old woman complained of dry cough and shortness of breath and visited our hospital in July 2011. Imaging examination revealed a left upper lung mass with multiple metastases to the liver, adrenal gland, and bone. DIAGNOSES Stage IVB (cT2aN3M1c) lung adenocarcinoma was diagnosed, with multiple metastases of the lymph nodes, liver, adrenal gland, and bone. INTERVENTIONS AND OUTCOMES The patient received systemic chemotherapy and epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitor-targeted therapy, and has survived for more than 9 years. LESSONS The patient benefited from maintenance chemotherapy and epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitor treatment and achieved long-term survival.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) is an extremely common clinical method for detecting pathogens, particularly for emerging infectious diseases such as the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Currently, detection of the RNA from the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 is the gold standard for establishing a COVID-19 diagnosis. This study evaluates the characteristic performance of the analytical system in a clinical laboratory. METHODS A commercial SARS-CoV-2 RNA RT-PCR Kit used in a clinical laboratory is assessed based on ISO 15189 verification requirements. A multiple real-time RT-PCR assay for the RdRP, N, and E genes in SARS-CoV-2 is verified. RESULTS The analytical system exhibits good analytical sensitivity (1000 copies/mL) and specificity (100%); however, the values of 86.7% and 100% for analytical accuracy deserved attention, compared with two other types of methods. Overall, the kit is potentially useful for SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic testing and meets the verification requirements. CONCLUSION Compliance with international standards, such as ISO 15189, is valuable for clinical laboratories and for improving laboratory medicine quality and safety. Normalization is essential for obtaining reliable results from the SARS-CoV-2 RNA RT-PCR assay. This study aims to develop an improved SARS-CoV-2 verification framework compared with traditional molecular diagnostic methods, given the urgency of implementing new assays in clinical laboratories.
