Abstract
Colorectal cystic lymphangiomas are rare benign lesions. They are characterized by the presence of either single or multi-cystic spaces lined by endothelium. Though there are multiple case reports of right and transverse colonic lymphangioma; only around 10 cases of lymphangioma of the rectum have been reported. We present a case report of rectal lymphangioma with the relevant literature review.

Abstract
Retroperitoneal cystic lymphangiomas (RCL) are rare benign tumors of the lymphatic system. They account for less than 1% of all lymphangiomas. Surgical resection is the recommended treatment option; however, obtaining a pre-operative diagnosis is often difficult and, in most cases, the final diagnosis is only possible following histological assessment of the surgical specimen. This report describes a case of RCL in a 58-year-old female cirrhotic patient who presented to our center with dull aching abdominal pain and distension. To our knowledge, this is the first case of a RCL in a cirrhotic patient reported in the literature.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Cystic hygromas are frequently encountered in fetus with Turner syndrome (TS). Nevertheless, identification of genetic loci responsible for the cystic hygroma has been problematic. Here, we tried to elucidate the candidate gene for cystic hygroma through a rare case of complex Y chromosomal rearrangements involving duplication of partial Yq and monosomy of partial Yp. CASE REPORT A 30-year-old woman, gravida 1 para 0, was diagnosed with fetal cystic hygroma at 12 weeks of gestation. The genetic analysis of the product of conception revealed complex rearrangement of Y chromosome: microdeletion in Yp11.2p11.31 and microduplicatin in Yq11.223q11.23. The deleted region spans about 6.25 Mb and includes 76 genes, including SRY. The duplicated region spans about 4.76 Mb and includes 145 genes. CONCLUSION From this rare case with non-mosaic complex Y-chromosome rearrangements, we could narrow down Turner stigmata critical region to Yp11.2~p11.3. We also propose RPS4Y1 as lymphedema candidate gene.

Abstract
Lymphangiomas are relatively rare benign congenital tumors of the lymphatic system. They are usually discovered during childhood and typically occur in the neck and axillary regions. Retroperitoneal lymphangiomas are a rare occurrence and represent 1% of all cases. Here, we presented a 70-year-old male who presented with abdominal discomfort and chronic constipation in the last three years. A computerized tomography scan showed a giant abdominal hypodense cystic mass measuring 195 x 145 mm, which laminates the abdominal aorta, the left iliac vessels, and the left ureter. The patient underwent surgical exploration. Due to the giant cystic volume, it was carefully opened, aspirated, and removed. The histopathological examination showed a retroperitoneal lymphangioma. In conclusion, giant retroperitoneal lymphangioma in an adult is a rare occurrence. The primary treatment is complete surgical excision. Histopathological examination is essential for diagnosis confirmation.

Abstract
The early diagnosis of in utero congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) allows a thorough evaluation for other morbidities that may be associated with CDH. Our patient was referred to us with a fetus at 13 weeks gestational age with a thick nuchal translucency. Our team performed a transvaginal ultrasound that revealed a large ystic hygroma, a heart displaced to the right, and a heterogeneous mass with peristalsis in the left chest. The fetus was diagnosed with CDH. The patient received genetic counseling after which she requested and underwent chorionic villus sampling. The early diagnosis of CDH allows for a timely intervention with the improved management of pre-natal and post-natal care. Better neonatal management is pivotal in providing a multidisciplinary consultation approach in order to furnish accurate counseling and prognostic information for the patient.

Abstract
A 22-year-old man was referred for upper abdominal pain. Unenhanced computed tomography (CT) revealed a lesion of heterogeneous hypoattenuation, part of which showed slightly high-density in the porta hepatis. On magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), T1-weighted images showed a multiloculated hyperintense mass and part of the mass was hyperintense in T2-weighted images. Abdominal ultrasonography showed a 40 mm multilocular mass with septa, containing solid and small cystic components. In sonazoid-enhanced ultrasonography, the septa were enhanced but the solid components were not. Because of the location of tumor and the findings of CT/MRI, we suspected the lesion as hematoma of the liver. We could not exclude neoplastic disease, such as biliary cystadenoma or cystadenocarcinoma of the liver, so surgical resection was performed. The mass was a multilocular cyst arising from the hepatoduodenal ligament. Pathological examination revealed aggregation of lymph vessels and endothelial-like cells with no atypia, which were positive for the specific markers D2-40 and CD31. The histological diagnosis was abdominal lymphangioma. Intra-abdominal lymphangiomas, which originate from the hepatoduodenal ligament, are extremely rare, benign tumors. We are mindful that lymphangioma should be considered in the differential diagnosis of tumors in the abdominal cavity, mimicking a hematoma of the liver and with a cystic appearance.

Abstract
Lymphangiomas are benign lesions due to a developmental malformation in the lymphatic system that occurs during the embryonic stage. They are more frequent in children. They can be found in the abdominal cavity, being the involvement of the gastrointestinal tract occasionally. The clinical presentation is varied, depending on the location of the lymphangiomas, and may have asymptomatic forms and, occasionally, present with abdominal pain, changes in defecation, rectal bleeding, etc. The diagnosis is made by endoscopy, auxiliary images and is confirmed by histology. We present a case of cystic rectal-sigmoid lymphangioma that we had in our hospital; the patient presented with proctalgia, alternating evacuation and intermittent rectal bleeding. Physical examination was without significant alterations. During the colonoscopy, at the level of the rectum and sigmoids, multiple protruded lesions were found, whose surface was smooth, translucent and bluish in color, with some pseudodiverticular holes, predominantly of the rectum. Endoscopic ultrasound revealed thickening of the submucosa at the level of the rectum with multiple anechoic, microcystic images, some of them with fine septa. The definitive diagnosis was made by histopathology, which describes dilated lymphatic ducts, surrounded by endothelial cells, findings consistent with cystic rectal-sigmoid lymphangioma.

Abstract
Cervico facial cystic hygroma and tongue lymphagioma is rare representative of spectrum of lymphatic malformations. Conservative management with sclerosants alone has proven to be successful. However, sudden enlargement of these cervico facial lymphangiomas leads to catastrophic airway obstruction leading to debility in feeding and speech. Therefore, surgery is indicated in such case to prevent such a catastrophic problem. We report here the case of a 3-yearold boy with cervico facial hygroma involving the tongue. We successfully treated him with a combination of surgery and OK432 injection.

Abstract
Lymphangioma, or cystic hygroma, involving the epidural space and spinal soft tissue, is a rare benign lesion consisting of an abnormal collection of lymphatic tissue isolated from the normal lymphatic system. This case report is the most extensive case of cystic hygroma involving the spine reported in the literature. A 23-year-old man with a history of cystic hygromas of the neck and thorax presented with bilateral upper and lower extremity weakness that progressively worsened over 3 months. A left hemilaminectomy from C4 to T5 with endoscopic exploration and cyst drainage was performed. At last follow-up, the patient was ambulating and returned to work. Aggressive decompression of mass lesions resulting in myelopathy, such as the spinal cystic hygromas, resulted in improved motor function as well as overall function status.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To analyze the prognosis of fetuses with cystic hygroma (CH) or nuchal translucency (NT) or nuchal fold (NF) thickening detected by prenatal echography. METHODS From January 2014 to December 2015, 124 fetuses with CH and NT/NF thickening on prenatal echography were enrolled from Women's Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. The basic clinical information, ultrasonic results, pregnancy outcomes and newborn follow-ups were analyzed. The cases were grouped by prognosis and the factors affecting prognosis were analyzed with logistic regression. RESULTS There were 85 cases of labor induction including one stillbirth and 39 cases delivered. Except one infant who died after birth, all live births survived with good prognosis. Univariate analysis showed that the gestational age at diagnosis of poor prognosis group was earlier than that of good prognosis group (P<0.01); and the former group also had higher hydrops fetalis rate and additional structural anomalies rate (all P<0.01). Multivariate regression analysis showed that hydrops fetalis (OR=90.105, P<0.05) and additional structural anomalies (OR=61.854, P<0.05) were risk factors of poor prognosis in fetuses with CH and NT/NF thickening. CONCLUSIONS Fetuses with diagnosed CH or NT/NF thickening on prenatal ultrasonography are likely to be associated with chromosomal abnormality. Early gestational weeks, hydrops fetalis and additional structural anomalies may indicate poor prognosis.

Abstract
We present our experience with four cases of fetal autopsies with abnormal prenatal ultrasound findings and suspicion of Noonan syndrome. These were fetuses from the 17th to the 24th age of gestation (GA). In all cases, prenatal ultrasound examination recorded increased nuchal translucency (NT) and presence of lymphatic neck sacs. Some fetuses showed signs of fetal hydrops and polyhydramnion was found. Similar signs and congenital developmental defects were confirmed in the autopsy examination. These were primarily signs of developing fetal hydrops with increased nuchal edema, in some cases up to the character of cystic hygroma, pleural and abdominal effusions, congenital heart and kidney defects, skeletal defects and facial dysmorphism. A karyotype was examined in all cases without chromosome aneuploidy. The diagnosis of NS was confimed by subsequent genetic analysis of causal gene mutations (mainly PTPN11, KRAS, RAF 1,). Our cases demonstrate a wide range of signs of prenatal presentation of this syndrome. Because of wide differential diagnosis, summarizing prenatal ultrasound findings, autopsy examination and molecular genetic testing is essential.

Abstract
RATIONALE Lymphangiomas are benign lymphatic malformations that mostly occur in the neck and axillary regions. Abdominal lymphangioma is a rare type of this tumor, and pancreatic lymphangioma accounts for less than 1% of all lymphangiomas. In this report, we firstly reveal the application of ultrasound-guided puncture drainage combined with cell morphological examination for the diagnosis of pancreatic lymphangioma. PATIENT CONCERNS A 35-year-old male patient was admitted to our hospital with recurrent abdominal pain and general weakness for 1 week. From abdominal ultrasound (US) showed that a large cystic lesion occupied the abdomen, about 30.0cm×25.0cm, leading to suspicion of lymphatic cyst. Computed tomography (CT) was performed for further diagnosis and staging. DIAGNOSES According to pathological findings in combination with immunohistochemical features, pancreatic lymphangioma was made. INTERVENTIONS To relieve symptoms of discomfort in the patient, distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy was carried out 1 week after the CT scan. OUTCOMES The patient recovered to normal status within 19 days after surgery. LESSONS The abdominal cystic lymphangiomas are difficult to be differential diagnosed from other cystic lesions. And the origin of the tumor is also hard to be detected before operation. We should combine image and pathological examination to clarify a diagnosis. Although lymphangiomas are benign tumours, they can encroach on adjacent organs and grow to an enormous size and that, resection of these invaded organs may be required for a complete excision.

Abstract
Lymphangiomas are congenital malformations of lymphatic vessels. More than 50% of these lesions are present at birth; 90% are diagnosed by the age of 2. These lesions do not expand very rapidly but they tend to infiltrate surrounding tissues; their degeneration into malignant tumors is an extremely rare occurrence. They are mostly located in the neck region and the axilla; breast lymphangioma is very rare. Surgery is usually performed for aesthetic reasons and in order to make a differential diagnosis with other, more common lesions. The surgical procedure involves the excision of the mass; other methods, such as radiotherapy and sclerotherapy, have proved to be completely ineffective.

Abstract
Lymphangiomas are enough rare benign congenital tumors of the lymphatic vessels, frequently encountered during childhood. They are found in the head and neck region, the isolated localization in the nasopharynx is very rare. We present the case of 54-year-old man admitted in the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Emergency University Hospital of Bucharest, Romania, with a nasopharynx tumor certificated by computed tomography (CT) scan with significant bleeding to a previous incisional biopsy temptation rising angiofibroma suspicion. We performed the radical surgical excision of mass by transoral approach. Postoperative bleeding imposed angiography with right internal maxillary artery embolization. Histopathological evaluation showed the diagnosis of lymphangioma. After three years, the patient is without recurrence.

Abstract
RATIONALE Lymphatic malformations (LMs) are rare and benign anomalies resulting from the defective embryological development of the primordial lymphatic structures. Due to their permeative growth throughout all tissue layers, treatment is often challenging. Small asymptomatic lesions can be conservatively managed, while symptomatic lesions require active management. Surgery has been historically considered the treatment of choice, but today less invasive therapeutic options are preferred (sclerotherapy, laser therapy, oral medications). However, there are not uniform therapeutic protocols. Sirolimus is an oral medication that has been reported to be effective in the recent literature. Here we present the case of 4 newborns with giant multicystic lymphangioma treated with oral sirolimus after surgical resection had failed. PATIENT CONCERNS At birth the LMs were clinically appreciated as giant masses involving different organs and structures. DIAGNOSES All patients had a prenatal diagnosis of giant multicystic lymphangioma confirmed at histological and cytological analysis. INTERVENTIONS Patients were treated with oral sirolimus after unsuccessful surgical resection. OUTCOMES In all patients, sirolimus determined an overall reduction of the mass and a global involution from the macro- to the microcystic composition. Sirolimus was safe and poor disadvantages had been observed. The main and isolated adverse effect at laboratory analysis was progressive dyslipidemia, with increasing levels of total cholesterol and triglycerides. LESSONS To date, our experience with sirolimus in the management of LMs is favorable. We recommend the use of sirolimus after unsuccessful surgical excision have been tried or when the surgical approach is not feasible. A multidisciplinary follow-up is needed to monitor disease evolution.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Malformations of the lymphatic system are recognized as benign congenital tumors that affect infant and children in the perinatal era. In children, these abnormalities usually found in the neck and the axillary region, but they can present in other parts of the body such as mediastinum, pelvis, retroperitoneum as well as in solid organs (e.g., adrenal glands, pancreas, stomach). Our aim is to report our experience on cystic hygromas via two cases and review the literature. MATERIALS AND METHODS Herein we present two cases of cystic hygroma, the first of female children and the second of a female adult patient respectively. Both of these patients underwent surgical excision of the masses. RESULTS After the procedure, both patients have recovered well, and no recurrence of the lesion has been noted during the follow-up period. CONCLUSIONS Surgical treatment remains the gold-standard treatment for these tumors, while other modalities have been used with mixed results.

Abstract
Lymphangioma is a rare, benign mesenchymal neoplasm, which is characterized by numerous intercommunicating cystic spaces containing lymphatic fluid. It is considered a congenital disease resulting from the obstruction of regional lymph drainage during the developmental period. Lymphangioma frequently occurs in the cervical neck and axilla, also in the retroperitoneum, mediastinum, mesentery, omentum, colon, and pelvis, rarely in the perirenal space. These tumors usually present in childhood, but infrequently, these also present in adults. Patients often complain of hematuria, flank pain, or abdominal pain. Complications of lymphangioma have been reported to include infection, ruputure, or hemorrhage. There are three types of lymphangioma commonly identified: capillary, cavernous, and cystic. Cystic type is the one commonly found intra-abdominally or retroperitoneally, and may be uniloculated or multiloculated. All these perirenal tumors have a very low incidence, make it difficult to diagnose. Differential diagnosis must be performed with the primary renal lymphoma, urinoma, polycystic kidney, teratoma, both benign and malignant tumors, etc. Endoscopic ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration is recommended in some literatures, which may help make diagnosis and further guide subsequent therapeutic strategy. Regarding treatment, surgical excision can be performed via either laparotomy or laparoscopy. And injection of sclerosants into lympahgioma has been described in the literature in nonsurgical candidates. The optimal definitive treatment is total surgical excision. Despite being rare, the tumor has an excellent prognosis. Here, we report a case of a 48-year-old woman with a left renal mass found in an abdominal ultrasonography during a health checkup. In the case presented, abdominal ultrasonography and magnetic resonance urography (MRU) revealed an approximately 11.3 cm×10.6 cm×12.8 cm multilocular cystic mass in the left perirenal space. There was no history of bowel or bladder complaint, either previous illness episodes. Full blood count and kidney function tests were within normal limits. Laparoscopic surgical removal of the cyst was accomplished without incident. A benign cystic perirenal lymphangioma was diagnosed on histology and confirmed with immunohistochemical stains. One month after the surgery the ureteral stent was removed. The patient was free of disease after a 3-month follow-up period. We report the case and discuss the management of perirenal lymphangiomatosis with a literature review.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Prenatal diagnosis of concomitant chromosome 5p deletion syndrome and chromosome 7p duplication syndrome in a fetus with abnormal prenatal ultrasound is presented. CASE REPORT A 34-year-old woman was referred for amniocentesis at 22 weeks of gestation because of an irregular-shaped skull, bilateral ventriculomegaly, and nuchal cystic hygroma. Amniocentesis revealed a derivative chromosome 5 with a distal 5p deletion and an addendum of an extra unknown chromosomal segment at the breakpoint of 5p. Cytogenetic analysis of parental bloods revealed a karyotype of 46, XX, t(5;7)(p15.1;p15.2) in the mother and a karyotype of 46,XY in the father. The karyotype of the fetus was 46, XX, der(5) t(5;7)(p15.1;p15.2)mat consistent with partial monosomy 5p (5p15.1→pter) and partial trisomy 7p (7p15.2→pter). A malformed fetus was subsequently delivered with an irregular-shaped skull, a large anterior fontanelle, brachycephaly, hypertelorism, a high and prominent forehead, a large nuchal cystic hygroma, large low-set ears, a short and flattened nose, and micrognathia. Array comparative genomic hybridization analysis of the placenta revealed the result of arr 5p15.33p15.1 (22,179-18,133,327)×1.0, 7p22.3p15.2 (54,215-25,551,540)×3.0, indicating an 18.11-Mb deletion of 5p (5p15.33-p15.1) and a 22.5-Mb duplication of 7p (7p22.3-p15.2). Cord blood sampling revealed a karyotype of 46, XX, der(5)t(5;7) (p15.1;p15.2)mat. CONCLUSION Fetuses with 5p deletion syndrome and 7p duplication syndrome may present ventriculomegaly, abnormal skull development, and cystic hygroma on prenatal ultrasound.

Abstract
Abdominal cystic lymphangiomas are relatively rare congenital malformations, predominantly found in the pediatric age group. They are usually found in the head and neck of affected children. Lymphangioma of the small-bowel mesentery is rare, having been reported for less than 1% of all lymphangiomas. The gross and histopathological findings may resemble benign multicystic mesothelioma and lymphangiomyoma. The immunohistochemical study for factor VIII-related antigen, D2-40, calretinin and human melanoma black-45 (HMB-45) is essential for diagnosis. Factor VIII-related antigen and D2-40 are positive in lymphangioma but negative in benign multicystic mesothelioma. HMB-45 shows positivity in the smooth-muscle cells around the lymphatic spaces of the lymphangiomyoma. This report describes a case of a large mesenteric lymphatic cyst identified in the neonatal period. Early diagnosis was possible due to the prenatal imagistic methods. Fetal ultrasound identified in the 17th week of gestational life an abdominal tumor that increased with fetal growth. The anatomopathological differential diagnosis and modalities of treatment are also discussed.

Abstract
Cystic hygroma or cystic lymphangioma is a congenital malformation of lymphatic origin. Their occurrence on the chest wall is very rare, and they progressively grow with age infiltrating into the local tissues, around muscle fibers and nerves, making them difficult and hazardous to remove. There are various treatment modalities of such lesion. Based on the literature surgical excision is the preferred treatment of choice in cystic hygroma because it gives a better cure rate compared to other modalities. We report a case successful excision of anterolateral chest wall cystic hygroma in a teenager in Hospital Serdang.

Abstract

Abstract
Background : Lymphangiomas are tumours that are often found in the head and neck in children and, rarely, in adults. Among all lymphangiomas in adults, the small bowel mesentery type accounts for less than 1%. We aim to present a rare case of small bowel symptomatic cystic lymphangioma in an adult patient, as well as its diagnosis and subsequent treatment. Patient : An adult female who was admitted to the University Clinical Center Tuzla for surgery presented with abdominal pain, tenderness and swelling of the abdomen. A giant cystic small bowel mesentery lymphangioma, which was histopathologically confirmed, was enucleated during open surgery. Conclusion : Timely diagnosis and treatment of this rare condition are crucial. Although benign in nature, mesenteric lymphangiomas may cause significant morbidity or mortality due to their huge size and critical locations. (Acta gastroenterol. belg., 2016, 79, 491-493).

Abstract
UNLABELLED The abdominal cystic lymphangioma (CL) in adults is a rare benign tumor of the lymphatic system. METHODS We report a retrospective study from January 2002 to Decemberr 2014 concerning 18 patients who underwent surgical removal of a CL, 9 patients with laparoscopic approach included. The localization, size, and number, diagnostic, treatment and results have been reported for patients approached laparoscopically. RESULTS There were 8 women and 1 man with median age at diagnosis was 35,6 years (range 20-51 years). Clinically, the main symptom was an abdominal pain found in 8 patients (88.8%). Physical examination revealed an abdominal mass in 5 patients (55.5%). The CL was asymptomatic in four patients; the discovery of CL was performed preoperatively during an ultrasound for another pathology (n=3) or intraoperatively (n=1). US exam CT scan usually allow the preoperative diagnosis. The most common site was shared equally between the mesentery (n = 3; 33%) and left retroperitoneum (n = 3;33%), followed by the right retroperitoneum and the posterior cavity of the lesser omentum and great omentum, each one case. The most common procedures performed were: laparoscopic total cystectomy of a closed cyst in two patients and evacuation of larger cysts followed by total cystectomy in seven patients. No conversion, no mortalities and no morbidity was noted. Mean hospital stay was 3.4 days. No recidive after 28 months in the average after treatment. CONCLUSIONS The laparoscopic approach is the gold standard in the treatment of intraabdominal CL.We recommend complete surgical excision to avoid recurrence.

Abstract
Cystic hygroma is a benign congenital malformation of the lymphatic system. Most of the cystic hygromas are found in the neck; other rare locations include axilla, mediastinum, and limbs. Symptoms range from mere presence of lesions to gross morbidity secondary to compression of adjacent organs, infection, hemorrhage etc. Treatment is primarily aimed at complete surgical resection. Other treatment modalities include sclerotherapy, radiotherapy and laser ablation as well as medical therapy with sirolimus but recurrence rate is high. We present a neonate with right sided cystic hygroma whose lesion settled completely with sildenafil.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Strumal carcinoid is a rare neoplasm of the ovary containing thyroid (struma) and carcinoid component revealed by immunohistochemistry. Case present: A 55-years-old woman with hysterectomy and right oophorectomy for uterine leiomyoma and right ovarian cyst, performed 12 years ago, was referred to the First Surgical Clinic, St. Spiridon University Hospital Iasi with pain in hypogastrium present for 2 months. Laboratory tests are normal and serum testing for tumor markers is unchanged. Ultrasound and CT finds for topography of the left ovary a well-defined 63 57 71 mm cystic mass, with a non-uniform wall thickness. Exploration laparoscopy, after adhesiolysis, identifies a cystic tumor developed in mesosigmoid which was excised and auterine tube with cystic dilatation and left ovary with intactcapsule, for which we performed left adnexectomy and extracted pieces of tumors in endobag. Evolution is simple, the patient being discharged after 3 days postoperatively. Histopathological exam and immunohistochemistry reveal edovarian strumal carcinoid and cystic lymphangioma. After one year follow up the patient is disease free. CONCLUSION This association between an ovarian strumal carcinoid with mesosigmoidian cystic lymphangioma is unusual and rare, not cited in the literature. A laparoscopic approach for the two conditions is safe with good immediate and distant postoperative course.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The aim of this study is an anatomo-clinical evaluation of the primary cystic mesenterico-epiploic tumors, based on a single-center's 15 year experience. MATERIAL AND METHOD We performed a retrospective study of a series of 14 primary cystic mesenterico-epiploic tumors that were operated in the Surgical Department 4 UMPh Targu-Mures, Romania, between 01.01.1997 and 01.01.2012. Data about the clinical complaints, imagistic aspects, associated lesions, surgical approach, hospitalization, pathology, and immediate and late postoperative course were recorded and analysed using the Microsoft Excel software. RESULTS In all cases we performed a complete and intact surgical excision, using an open approach in 13 cases and laparoscopy in 1 case, with no mortality and no significant surgical-related morbidity; we have encountered a single recurrence at 1.5 years after surgery. We had no preoperative pathological diagnosis; the exact preoperative anatomic location of the tumor was possible only in one case. Pathologic examination showed the following types: inclusion cysts - 4 cases, enteral duplication cysts - 2 cases, simple mesothelialcysts - 6 cases, cystic lymphangioma - 1 case and simple lymphatic cyst - 1 case. We have systematized 3 clinicoimagistic patterns according to the dimension of the tumor, with no relationship to the histologic origin of the tumor. CONCLUSIONS Primary cystic mesenterico-epiploic tumors aredifficult to diagnose preoperatively. Complete excision is usually possible, even for large tumors. These relatively rare tumors must be considered in the differential diagnosis of cystic abdominal masses.

Abstract
Although, deletion of short arm of chromosome 18 is one of the most frequent autosomal terminal deletions, mosaic form of 18p deletion is infrequently observed. Furthermore, prenatally detected cases of 18p deletion and isochromosome 18q mosaicism are extremely rare. Herein, we present a case of del(18p)/i(18q) mosaicism, prenatally detected after chori- onic villus sampling. A 37-year-old woman was referred for prenatal diagnosis because of fetal septated cystic hygroma measuring 4.3 mm. Cytogenetic analysis showed a mosaic 46,XX,del(18)(p11.2)/46,XX,i(18)(q10) karyotype in both, short- and long-term culture. Parents elected to terminate the pregnancy. Fetal mosaic karyotype was confirmed by chromosomal analysis of cultured skin fibroblasts. Molecular characterization of chromosome 18 structural aberrations was performed by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). Considering variable ultrasound findings among cases with del(18p)/i(18q) mosaicism, we emphasized that first and second trimester ultrasound screening examinations for fetal malformations, followed by cytogenetic and molecular evaluations, are very important in the management of prenatally detected cases.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Lymphangiomas are congenital malformations or acquired (secondary to trauma, infection or neoplasia) in the mammary gland, are extremely rare. These lesions tend to infiltrate surrounding tissues and malignant degeneration is extremely rare. Clinically manifests as benign masses, slow growing; diagnosed clinically and by imaging studies. Suegery with removal of the mass is performed for aesthetic reasons and to make differential diagnosis with other common injuries. CLINICAL CASE Women 45 years of age with progressive increase in size of the left breast, breast trauma concerns and has no other symptoms. The histologic diagnosis was cystic lymphangioma giant left mammary gland. DISCUSSION Lymphangiomas are uncommon lesions and extremely rare in the mammary gland, locally aggresive behavior and are benign, where abnormal lymphatic tissue has some ability to proliferate and accumulate large amounts of liquid, representing cystic appearance, as presented in our case. Local surgical excision is the treatment. CONCLUSION In this first case of giant breast cystic lymphangioma reported in Mexico, which corroborates the benignity of the lesion.

Abstract
Isolated chylopericardium due to cystic lymphangioma of pericardium is a rare entity. We report a case of asymptomatic chylopericardium in a young male who presented with cardiomegaly. Echocardiography revealed massive pericardial effusion without tamponade. Pericardiocentesis yielded 1.25 L of tea-colored fluid which showed triglyceride level of 1723 mg/dL and cholesterol of 1021 mg/dL with a cholesterol to triglyceride ratio of <1, characteristic of chylous fluid. Lymphoscintigraphy using 99Tc demonstrated lymphatic leak around the heart region. Fusion of MRI images with lymphoscintigraphy was taken with a view of localizing the leak site; it demonstrated enhancement in the pericardial space. Surgery was done via right lateral thoracotomy. Thoracic duct was ligated above diaphragm and pericardial window created by anterior pericardiectomy. The patient had an uneventful recovery and was well after 6 months of follow up. Pericardial biopsy showed cystic lymphangioma of pericardium.

Abstract
Lymphatic malformations are uncommon, benign and congenital malformations of the lymphatic system exhibiting lack of development of communication between the lymphatic and venous circulation. We report the unusual case of rapidly expanding giant lymphatic malformation of the torso, bilateral axillae and left upper extremity of a newborn. As the first-line treatment, aspiration and sclerotherapy with bleomycin were performed. The sclerotherapy failed to cause regression of the mass, and rapid expansion of the malformation necessitated surgery. Partial resection of the mass was performed. Clinical symptoms of respiratory distress resolved in the early postoperative period, and the patient became hemodynamically stable. However, intrathoracic invasion of the mass developed, leading to restriction of thoracic expansion, ending in death. In conclusion, surgical treatment of giant lymphatic malformations remains challenging.

Abstract
Adenomatoid tumors (AT) are uncommon, benign tumors of mesothelial origination most frequently encountered in the genital tracts of both sexes. Their occurrences in the extragenital sites are much rarer and could elicit a variety of differential diagnosis both clinically and morphologically. With regard to the adrenal gland, to the best knowledge of us, only 31 cases of AT have been reported in the English literature. Several histologic growth patterns have been documented in AT, among which cystic type is the least common one. We herein present a further case of AT arising in the adrenal of a 62-year-old Chinese man with a medical history for systemic hypertensive disease. The tumor was incidentally identified during routine medical examination. An abdomen computed tomography scan revealed a solitary mass in the right adrenal. Grossly, the poorly-circumscribed mass measured 3.0 x 3.0 x 2.0 cm with a cut surface showing a gelatinous texture with numerous tiny cystic structures. Microscopic examination showed an infiltrated lesion with honeycomb appearance mimicking a lymphangioma, which composed predominantly of variably sized and shaped anastomosing small cystic spaces lined by flattened endothelial-like cells, without any epithelioid or signet-ring like components present. Foci of extraadrenal tumor extension, lymphoid aggregates with occasional germinal centre formation, intralesional fat tissue, stromal myoid proliferation and ossification were also observed. Immunohistochemical analyses confirmed the mesothelial differentiation of this tumor and indicated a diagnosis of cystic lymphangiomatoid AT of the adrenal.

Abstract
Cystic lymphangiomas of the small bowel mesentery are rare manifestations of intra-abdominal tumors. Usually, they are discovered incidentally during examination for an unrelated abdominal illness. We present a case of a 4-year-old boy who was admitted to our hospital because of the right lower quadrant acute abdominal pain suspect of acute appendicitis. At laparotomy, a giant, cystic, encapsulated and lipomatous mesenterial mass was found, 15 x 15 x 10 cm in size, infiltrating the jejunum. The tumor was located 70 cm from Treitz's ligament. Extirpation of tumor mass with intestinal resection of the involved loops was necessary. Pathologic examination confirmed the diagnosis of mesenteric cystic lymphangioma. Although they are rare, cystic mesenteric lymphangiomas should be considered as a possible cause of acute abdomen and treated with surgical resection. Prognosis after surgical removal is excellent.
