Abstract
Searches for electron antineutrino, muon neutrino, and muon antineutrino disappearance driven by sterile neutrino mixing have been carried out by the Daya Bay and MINOS+ collaborations. This Letter presents the combined results of these searches, along with exclusion results from the Bugey-3 reactor experiment, framed in a minimally extended four-neutrino scenario. Significantly improved constraints on the θ_{μe} mixing angle are derived that constitute the most constraining limits to date over five orders of magnitude in the mass-squared splitting Δm_{41}^{2}, excluding the 90% C.L. sterile-neutrino parameter space allowed by the LSND and MiniBooNE observations at 90% CL_{s} for Δm_{41}^{2}<13 eV^{2}. Furthermore, the LSND and MiniBooNE 99% C.L. allowed regions are excluded at 99% CL_{s} for Δm_{41}^{2}<1.6 eV^{2}.

Abstract
This Letter reports the first extraction of individual antineutrino spectra from ^{235}U and ^{239}Pu fission and an improved measurement of the prompt energy spectrum of reactor antineutrinos at Daya Bay. The analysis uses 3.5×10^{6} inverse beta-decay candidates in four near antineutrino detectors in 1958 days. The individual antineutrino spectra of the two dominant isotopes, ^{235}U and ^{239}Pu, are extracted using the evolution of the prompt spectrum as a function of the isotope fission fractions. In the energy window of 4-6 MeV, a 7% (9%) excess of events is observed for the ^{235}U (^{239}Pu) spectrum compared with the normalized Huber-Mueller model prediction. The significance of discrepancy is 4.0σ for ^{235}U spectral shape compared with the Huber-Mueller model prediction. The shape of the measured inverse beta-decay prompt energy spectrum disagrees with the prediction of the Huber-Mueller model at 5.3σ. In the energy range of 4-6 MeV, a maximal local discrepancy of 6.3σ is observed.

Abstract
We report a measurement of electron antineutrino oscillation from the Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment with nearly 4 million reactor ν[over ¯]_{e} inverse β decay candidates observed over 1958 days of data collection. The installation of a flash analog-to-digital converter readout system and a special calibration campaign using different source enclosures reduce uncertainties in the absolute energy calibration to less than 0.5% for visible energies larger than 2 MeV. The uncertainty in the cosmogenic ^{9}Li and ^{8}He background is reduced from 45% to 30% in the near detectors. A detailed investigation of the spent nuclear fuel history improves its uncertainty from 100% to 30%. Analysis of the relative ν[over ¯]_{e} rates and energy spectra among detectors yields sin^{2}2θ_{13}=0.0856±0.0029 and Δm_{32}^{2}=(2.471_{-0.070}^{+0.068})×10^{-3} eV^{2} assuming the normal hierarchy, and Δm_{32}^{2}=-(2.575_{-0.070}^{+0.068})×10^{-3} eV^{2} assuming the inverted hierarchy.

Evolution of the Reactor Antineutrino Flux and Spectrum at Daya Bay. Phys Rev Lett 2017; 118:251801. Abstract
The Daya Bay experiment has observed correlations between reactor core fuel evolution and changes in the reactor antineutrino flux and energy spectrum. Four antineutrino detectors in two experimental halls were used to identify 2.2 million inverse beta decays (IBDs) over 1230 days spanning multiple fuel cycles for each of six 2.9 GW_{th} reactor cores at the Daya Bay and Ling Ao nuclear power plants. Using detector data spanning effective ^{239}Pu fission fractions F_{239} from 0.25 to 0.35, Daya Bay measures an average IBD yield σ[over ¯]_{f} of (5.90±0.13)×10^{-43} cm^{2}/fission and a fuel-dependent variation in the IBD yield, dσ_{f}/dF_{239}, of (-1.86±0.18)×10^{-43} cm^{2}/fission. This observation rejects the hypothesis of a constant antineutrino flux as a function of the ^{239}Pu fission fraction at 10 standard deviations. The variation in IBD yield is found to be energy dependent, rejecting the hypothesis of a constant antineutrino energy spectrum at 5.1 standard deviations. While measurements of the evolution in the IBD spectrum show general agreement with predictions from recent reactor models, the measured evolution in total IBD yield disagrees with recent predictions at 3.1σ. This discrepancy indicates that an overall deficit in the measured flux with respect to predictions does not result from equal fractional deficits from the primary fission isotopes ^{235}U, ^{239}Pu, ^{238}U, and ^{241}Pu. Based on measured IBD yield variations, yields of (6.17±0.17) and (4.27±0.26)×10^{-43} cm^{2}/fission have been determined for the two dominant fission parent isotopes ^{235}U and ^{239}Pu. A 7.8% discrepancy between the observed and predicted ^{235}U yields suggests that this isotope may be the primary contributor to the reactor antineutrino anomaly.

Abstract
Searches for a light sterile neutrino have been performed independently by the MINOS and the Daya Bay experiments using the muon (anti)neutrino and electron antineutrino disappearance channels, respectively. In this Letter, results from both experiments are combined with those from the Bugey-3 reactor neutrino experiment to constrain oscillations into light sterile neutrinos. The three experiments are sensitive to complementary regions of parameter space, enabling the combined analysis to probe regions allowed by the Liquid Scintillator Neutrino Detector (LSND) and MiniBooNE experiments in a minimally extended four-neutrino flavor framework. Stringent limits on sin^{2}2θ_{μe} are set over 6 orders of magnitude in the sterile mass-squared splitting Δm_{41}^{2}. The sterile-neutrino mixing phase space allowed by the LSND and MiniBooNE experiments is excluded for Δm_{41}^{2}<0.8 eV^{2} at 95% CL_{s}.

Abstract
This Letter reports an improved search for light sterile neutrino mixing in the electron antineutrino disappearance channel with the full configuration of the Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment. With an additional 404 days of data collected in eight antineutrino detectors, this search benefits from 3.6 times the statistics available to the previous publication, as well as from improvements in energy calibration and background reduction. A relative comparison of the rate and energy spectrum of reactor antineutrinos in the three experimental halls yields no evidence of sterile neutrino mixing in the 2×10^{-4}≲|Δm_{41}^{2}|≲0.3 eV^{2} mass range. The resulting limits on sin^{2}2θ_{14} are improved by approx imately a factor of 2 over previous results and constitute the most stringent constraints to date in the |Δm_{41}^{2}|≲0.2 eV^{2} region.

Abstract
This Letter reports a measurement of the flux and energy spectrum of electron antineutrinos from six 2.9 GWth nuclear reactors with six detectors deployed in two near (effective baselines 512 and 561 m) and one far (1579 m) underground experimental halls in the Daya Bay experiment. Using 217 days of data, 296 721 and 41 589 inverse β decay (IBD) candidates were detected in the near and far halls, respectively. The measured IBD yield is (1.55±0.04) ×10(-18) cm(2) GW(-1) day(-1) or (5.92±0.14) ×10(-43) cm(2) fission(-1). This flux measurement is consistent with previous short-baseline reactor antineutrino experiments and is 0.946±0.022 (0.991±0.023) relative to the flux predicted with the Huber-Mueller (ILL-Vogel) fissile antineutrino model. The measured IBD positron energy spectrum deviates from both spectral predictions by more than 2σ over the full energy range with a local significance of up to ∼4σ between 4-6 MeV. A reactor antineutrino spectrum of IBD reactions is extracted from the measured positron energy spectrum for model-independent predictions.

Abstract
Cumulated evidence indicates that matrix metalloproteinase-3 (MMP-3) is significantly involved in cancer progression. Recent studies yielded conflicting results regarding the association between serum MMP-3 and ankylosing spondylitis (AS). To clarify this correlation, we performed a meta-analysis. Potential relevant studies were identified by searching the following databases: PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, Science Citation Index database, the Cochrane Library, Current Contents Index, Chinese Biomedical, the Chinese Journal Full-Text, and the Weipu Journal. Data from eligible studies were extracted and included into the meta-analysis using a random-effect model. Standardized mean differences (SMDs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to assess the association between serum MMP-3 levels and AS. Thirteen case-control studies, including 707 AS cases and 442 healthy controls, were selected for the meta-analysis. The results indicate a significantly higher serum MMP-3 level in patients with AS than that in the controls (cases vs controls: SMD = 1.31, 95%CI = 0.84-1.78, P < 0.001). Ethnicity-subgroup analysis indicated a higher MMP-3 level in Asian and Caucasian patients with AS (all P < 0.05). This meta-analysis indicates that increased serum MMP-3 level correlates with the development of AS, suggesting that MMP-3 may present a clinical value in reflecting the progression of AS. Further larger sample size studies are warranted.

Abstract
We report a new measurement of electron antineutrino disappearance using the fully constructed Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment. The final two of eight antineutrino detectors were installed in the summer of 2012. Including the 404 days of data collected from October 2012 to November 2013 resulted in a total exposure of 6.9×10^{5} GW_{th} ton days, a 3.6 times increase over our previous results. Improvements in energy calibration limited variations between detectors to 0.2%. Removal of six ^{241}Am-^{13}C radioactive calibration sources reduced the background by a factor of 2 for the detectors in the experimental hall furthest from the reactors. Direct prediction of the antineutrino signal in the far detectors based on the measurements in the near detectors explicitly minimized the dependence of the measurement on models of reactor antineutrino emission. The uncertainties in our estimates of sin^{2}2θ_{13} and |Δm_{ee}^{2}| were halved as a result of these improvements. An analysis of the relative antineutrino rates and energy spectra between detectors gave sin^{2}2θ_{13}=0.084±0.005 and |Δm_{ee}^{2}|=(2.42±0.11)×10^{-3} eV^{2} in the three-neutrino framework.

Abstract
Abstract
Aim: To evaluate the relationship between malignant appearance of mammographic calcification and breast cancer pathological features, and to explore the predictive value of calcification appearances and morphology changes in neo-adjuvant setting.
Methods: 419 patients with operable breast cancer received neo-adjuvant therapy between 2008.2 and 2011.8 in Shanghai Cancer Hospital. Core needle biopsy was conducted before preoperative therapy to determine cancer and achieve pathological features. Mammogram (MG), ultrasound and breast MRI were routinely done prior to therapy and prior to surgical operation. We conducted a detailed analysis of MG images in patients with malignant calcification, recorded the morphology, distribution, range, density, diameter and number of the calcification.
Results: 419 patients enrolled, 108 patients (25.8%) showed malignant calcification in MG, 6 patients missed the first MG before therapy. 214 patients were Luminal A, 95 were Luminal B, 64 were Her2 positive and 46 were triple negative, the pCR rate was 14%, 30.5%, 53%, 43.5% respectively. Patients with malignant calcification have more ER positive (81.5% vs. 71.7%, p = 0.045) and HER2 positive (51.8% vs. 33%, p = 0.001) diseases. The pCR rate was 26% in patients with malignant calcification and 28% in patients without, p = 0.8.
Different morphology shapes showed similar pCR rate, p = 0.89. Casting-type had a higher pCR rate 45.8%, compared with 20% in crushed stone-like and 16.7% in powderish, p = 0.031. Range more than 5cm had a higher pCR rate, 40.7% vs. 20%, p = 0.034. Density, diameter and number of the calcification did not reach statistical difference, however high density, diameter >1mm and number >20 per cm2 showed a trend of higher pCR rate. Patients with diameter ≤0.5mm had a higher lymphatic vascular invasive rate 51.4%, compared to diameter≤1mm (26.8%) and diameter >1mm (22.7%), p = 0.03. Morphology and distribution of calcification did not change obviously. Less than 30% patients showed changes in range, number or density, no relationship with pCR rate.
Conclusion: Patients with malignant calcification are more likely to have ER positive and Her2 positive diseases. MG should be considered the standard prior to the start of therapy, the distribution and range of the calcification may predict pCR rate. Calcification appearance does not change significantly after neo-adjuvant therapy, therefore MG is not an appropriate method for efficacy evaluation. But MG before surgery is still useful to identify the extent of surgery, especially in breast conserve therapy.

Abstract
Estrogens can play a critical role in the development of breast cancer. Aromatase which catalyzes the formation of aromatic C18 estrogens from C19 androgens is regarded to be responsible for the cancer local production of estrogen. Studies not only from aromatase transfected breast cancer cells, but also transgenic mouse, which overexpressed aromatase, demonstrated that in situ produced estrogen plays more important roles than circulating estrogens in breast tumor promotion and progression. Matrix-metalloproteinases (MMPs) have been implicated in the proeolytic process, which play important roles in the aggressiveness of cancer cells including invasion of adjacent tissue and metastasis to distant sites. Expression of MMP2 and 9 may be stimulated by estrogens in hormonal dependent breast cancers, since tumor aromatase can stimulate breast cancer growth and progression in both an autocrine and a paracrine manner. Theoretically aromatase overexpression, that causes relatively high estrogen concentration in situ, may be positively related to MMP2 and 9 expression, indicate worse prognosis in breast cancers, and maybe insensitive to tamoxifen therapy. In the present study, we studied the expression of aromatase activity and MMPs in human breast carcinoma both in vitro and in vivo. In human breast carcinoma cell lines including MCF-7, MDA-MB-231 and MDA-MB-435, the expression of aromatase levels both in mRNA and protein activity was related to MMP2 and MMP9. In humam breast cancer samples, we demonstrated that aromatase expressions were strongly associated with MMP2 and MMP9 levels. It was interesting to observe that the positive relationship was only present in the ER and/or PR positive patients. This may indicate that both MMP2 and MMP9 were up regulated by estrogen produced by aromatase through ER. So in endocrine therapy, either blocking the ER by tamoxifen or inhibiting the aromatase by aromatase inhibitors for example letrozole, may both inhibit tumor growth and lower the metastatic potential especially in ER positive breast cancer patients by means of down-regulation of MMP2/9.

Abstract
Pregnancy associated (PA) breast cancer is defined when diagnosed during pregnancy or within one year afterwards. To analyze the prognostic factors related to this disease and assess the impact of pregnancy on breast cancer patients, 88 PA breast cancer patients initially treated in the Shanghai Cancer Hospital from 1957 to 1990 were reviewed. A non-PA group including 176 patients individually well matched to the PA group was also analyzed. Univariate analysis suggested prognostic value for clinical tumor size, TNM stage, and breast feeding time among the classic prognostic factors, pregnancy associated factors and treatment modalities were evaluated. Multivariate analysis demonstrated clinical tumor size, TNM stage and axillary lymph node metastasis as independent prognostic factors. Compared with the non-PA group, the PA group was significantly correlated with delay at diagnosis, large size of the tumor, late TNM stage, extension to the skin or chest wall and administration with oophorectomy. The overall survival rates of 5-year, 10-year and 20-year were 40.39%, 36.29% and 30.70%, respectively, which were worse than those in the non-PA group, but did not reach a significant difference (p=0.0536). We are conducting further basic research to analyze the biologic characteristics of PA breast cancer.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Breast cancer and precancer are thought to originate in the lining of the milk duct, but until recently, we have not had direct access to this area other than in tissue removed blindly by core biopsy or fine-needle aspiration. Fiberoptic ductoscopy (FDS) is an emerging technique that allows direct visual access of the ductal system of the breast through nipple orifice cannulation and exploration. To date, this technique has been used only in pilot studies. Previously, we have demonstrated that fiberoptic ductoscopy in patients with and without nipple discharge is a safe and effective means of visualizing the intraductal lesion. When combined with cytology, it is a screening technique that has high predictive value. METHODS We applied ductoscopy to 415 women with nipple discharge with the specific intent of detecting those patients with nipple discharge who had intraductal carcinoma (DCIS) as the basis of their discharge. RESULTS In this cohort of patients, ductoscopy was successful in visualizing an intraductal lesion in 166 patients (40%). In these cases, ductal lavage following ductoscopy increased the yield of cytologically interpretable ductal epithelial cells 100-fold compared to discharge fluid alone. In the majority of these patients, FDS examination detected lesions that had the appearance of typical papillomas. However, in 10 patients, the intraductal lesion exhibited one of several atypical features, including bleeding, circumferential obstruction, and gross fungating projections. In eight of these patients, the subsequent histopathology turned out to be DCIS. In two of these eight patients, endoscopic biopsy revealed cytologically malignant cells; in two others, ductal lavage (washings) revealed cytologically malignant cells. In three additional patients, although FDS examination uncovered a typical papilloma that was not biopsied, ductal lavage (washings) revealed cytologically malignant cells. On surgical pathology review of the extirpated lesions, all 11 patients were subsequently shown to have DCIS. Of these 11 cases of DCIS that were initially detected with a combination of FDS and ductal lavage cytology, six were completely negative on mammogram and physical exam. CONCLUSION Although nipple discharge is an unusual presentation for DCIS, in patients with nipple discharge, FDS with ductal lavage cytology is a useful technique for diagnosing DCIS prior to definitive surgery.

Abstract
The effect of pp60c-src on mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) activation induced by angiotensin II (Ang II) in vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) was observed to explore the signal transduction process of VSMCs proliferation mediated by Ang II. Following transfection of the synthetic antisense c-src oligodeoxynucleotides (ODNs) wrapped in lipofectin into cultured rat VSMCs, pp60c-src content markedly decreased, pp60c-src kinase activity was only 14.4% of control, while MAPK activity was not significantly changed (P>0.05). When these transfected VSMCs were further stimulated by Ang II, the increase in MAPK activity was only 1.6% of control. These data suggest that pp60c-src is needed for MAPK activation in VSMCs stimulated by Ang II, and pp60c-src may be an important signaling molecule in abnormal proliferation of VSMCs.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Breast carcinoma and precancer are thought to start in the lining of the milk duct or lobule, yet until recently, we have not had direct access to this area other than by blindly removing tissue by core biopsy or fine-needle aspiration. Fiberoptic ductoscopy (FDS) is an emerging technique allowing direct visual access to the ductal system of the breast through nipple orifice exploration. METHODS We applied ductoscopy to 259 women who had nipple discharge, and we analyzed the visual findings, the cytological washings, and the subsequent histopathology. RESULTS In 92 (36%) of these women, fiberoptic ductoscopy was successful in detecting an intraductal papillary lesion. Of these observed lesions, 68 (74%) were single papilloma, 21 (23%) were multiple discrete papillomas, and 3 (3%) were diffuse intraductal thickening which corresponded to diffuse papillomatosis on histopathological analysis. The overall positive predictive value of FDS screening was 83%. Of the lesions observed, 29.8% were located in the main (segmental) duct, 43.9% lesions in the first branch, 17.5% lesions in the second branch, 7.9% in the third branch, and 0.9% in the fourth branch. These lesions had an overall average distance of 2.7 cm from the nipple orifice. Ductal washings performed at the time of ductoscopy were effective at obtaining representative exfoliated ductal cells which could be evaluated for the presence of clumps (> 50 cells), clumps with atypia or single ductal cells. The presence of clumps with positive FDS increased the positive predictive value to 86%. CONCLUSIONS Fiberoptic ductoscopy currently offers a safe alternative to ductography in guiding subsequent breast surgery in the treatment of nipple discharge.

Abstract
The retinoid 6-[3-(1-adamantyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl]-2-naphthalenecarboxylic acid (AHPN, CD437) induces apoptosis in a variety of cell types, many of which are cancer cells that resist the antiproliferative and/or differentiating effects of retinoids. While the retinoids exert their effects by binding to the retinoic acid nuclear receptors (RARs) or retinoid X receptors (RXRs), AHPN (CD437) binds to another protein with different ligand specificity. In nuclear extracts from HL-60R cells the binding of AHPN (CD437) was only minimally competed by either retinoic acid (tRA)or 9-cis-retinoic acid (9-cis-RA), the natural ligands for the RARs and RXRs, respectively. Moreover, AHPN (CD437) was unable to compete with either tRA or 9-cis-RA for binding to endogenous retinoid receptors in nuclear extracts from the MDA-MB-468 breast carcinoma cell line. Size exclusion chromatography revealed AHPN binding to a 95 kDa protein(s) which is neither an RAR or RXR. Our results suggest that apoptosis induction by AHPN (CD437) may occur through interaction with another protein and is independent of the RAR/RXR-signaling pathways.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate anti-crypt keratin (CK) immunologic histochemical changes in children with chronic tonsillitis. METHOD Removed tonsilla were fixed by 10% formaldehyde. Immunologic histochemical method was used to determine the changes of anti-broad spectrum (KD 68, 56, 56, 50) CKSP. RESULT In 230 cases, obvious keratosis was 90.9%, no keratosis was 9.1%, 3 cases were found with fungus filaments and bacteria in the bottom of crypts. Anti-broad spectrum and hypermolecule CK of tonsil cryptic epithelium were positive reaction, anti-broad spectrum CK of cryptic keratosis in all cases was positive reaction. CONCLUSION During the period of episode, cryptic epitheliums of tonsilla was destroyed repeatly, therefore, immunoglobulin production was reduce. Because the immune function of tonsilla was reduced, bacteria and virus might be invade into organism. This reduplicative malignant circles must be interrupted or blocked only by tonsillectomy.

Abstract
Human breast carcinoma is biologically heterogeneous, and its clinical course may vary from an indolent slowly progressive one to a course associated with rapid progression and metastatic spread. It is important to establish prognostic factors which will define subgroups of patients with low vs high risk of recurrence so as to better define the need for additional therapy. Additional characterization of the molecular make-up of breast cancer phenotypes should provide important insights into the biology of breast cancer. In the present study, we investigated apoptosis, expression of p27Kip1 and p53 retrospectively in 181 human breast cancer specimens. In addition, their relevance to the biological behaviour of breast cancer was examined. Our studies found a significant association among high histological grade, high p53, low apoptosis and low p27. Our results also demonstrated that, in human breast cancer, low levels of p27 and apoptotic index (AI) strongly correlated with the presence of lymph node metastasis and decreased patient survival. In node-negative patients, however, p27 also had prognostic value for relapse-free and overall survival in multivariate analysis. Furthermore p27 and AI had predictive value for the benefits of chemotherapy. These latter observations should prompt prospective randomized studies designed to investigate the predictive role of p27 and AI in determining who should receive chemotherapy in node-negative patients.

Abstract
p21/waf1/cip1 and mdm-2 are downstream effectors of p53. p21 plays a major role in negatively regulating cell-cycle progression, while mdm-2 inhibits p53 effects, and its role has been implicated in oncogenesis. In this study, we investigated the expression profiles of p21, mdm-2 and p53 in human breast-carcinoma tissues. The aim was to determine whether a correlation exists between the expression profiles of these markers and tumor differentiation, ER status and prognosis. We studied tumor specimens obtained from 106 patients and found a highly significant association among low histology grade, p53 over-expression, high mdm-2 expression and lack of p21 expression. Our studies also demonstrate that, in human breast cancer, low levels of p21 and higher mdm-2 levels directly correlate with the onset of lymph-node metastases and shortened patient survival. Furthermore, the expression profiles of p21, mdm-2 and p53 were independently correlated with patient survival.

Abstract
In order to study the effects of isovolumic hemodilution and its combination with Danshen solution on acute ischemic reperfused canine myocardium, 24 adult hybrid dogs were used and divided into four groups. Group I was the control group, groups II-IV were treated with Dextron 40, Danshen solution and a combination of the two, respectively. The results showed that either Dextron 40 or Danshen solution alone had a significant increase of +/- dp/dt-max when compared with group I (p < 0.05). Although no significant difference existed between group II and III, the former showed more rapid action. The combination of the two therapies improved +/- dp/dt-max and LVSP, and significantly reduced the necrotic sizes and the MDA contents in the ischemic myocardia compared with not only group I, but also group II or group III (all p < 0.05). The results suggest that isovolumic hemodilution or Danshen may protect the ischemic reperfused myocardium and the former may come into action more rapidly, and that the combination of the two may show a better synergism than each one of the two by itself.

Abstract
AIM To study the effects of tetrandrine (Tet) on platelet aggregation and platelet activating factor (PAF) generation in rabbit platelet-rich plasma (PRP). METHODS The aggregation rate of platelets induced by calcimycin (Cal) and PAF and the inhibition rate of Tet on platelet aggregation were measured. The amount of PAF in PRP stimulated with Cal and treated with Tet was also measured. RESULTS Cal 1-8 mumol.L(-1) and PAF 9.5-190.5 pmol.L(-1) induced platelet aggregation. At the final concentrations of 4-64 mumol.L(-1), Tet inhibited the aggregation induced by Cal 4 mumol.L(-1) and PAF 142.9 pmol.L-1. The IC50 (95% confidence limits) were 8.6 (6.0-12.2) mumol.L-1 for Cal and 14.0 (6.4-30.4) mumol.L(-1) for PAF. In the PRP aggregation by Cal, there was a marked increase in PAF content. Tet dependented the release of PAF from platelets by Cal in a concentration-dependent manner, with IC50 of 21 (8-54) mumol.L(-1). CONCLUSION The inhibition effect of Tet on platelet aggregation might be concerned with the reduction of endogenous PAF generation.

Abstract
From June 1987 to June 1993, 42 neonates with Hirschsprung's disease (NHD) were treated with modified Duhamel's procedure. The follow-up from 2 months to 5 years (mean 30 mons) showed satisfactory results in all survivors. Comparing with 21 infants with Hirschsprung's disease treated (IHD) with modified Swenson's method showed that: (1) The follow-up results of NHD were better than IHD; (2) The extent and degree of hypertrophy and dilatation of proximal and transitional segment were less serious in NHD and the length of resection was shorter than that of IHD (NHD: 14.5-24.1 cm, IHD: 33-40.5 cm); (3) The degree of pathological changes such as mucosal inflammation, ulcer formation, and degeneration of ganglion cells was related to the age, duration and the length of agangliosis. Hirschsprung's disease has a chronic progressive course. Early operation can decrease the secondary structural and functional damage to the intestine.
