Abstract
Neural stem cells have exhibited efficacy in pre-clinical models of spinal cord injury (SCI) and are on a translational path to human testing. We recently reported that neural stem cells must be driven to a spinal cord fate to optimize host axonal regeneration into sites of implantation in the injured spinal cord, where they subsequently form neural relays across the lesion that support significant functional improvement. We also reported methods of deriving and culturing human spinal cord neural stem cells derived from embryonic stem cells that can be sustained over serial high passage numbers in vitro, providing a potentially optimized cell source for human clinical trials. We now report further optimization of methods for deriving and sustaining cultures of human spinal cord neural stem cell lines that result in improved karyotypic stability while retaining anatomical efficacy in vivo. This development improves prospects for safe human translation.

Abstract
The first measurement of the cross section for incoherent photonuclear production of J/ψ vector mesons as a function of the Mandelstam |t| variable is presented. The measurement was carried out with the ALICE detector at midrapidity, |y|<0.8, using ultraperipheral collisions of Pb nuclei at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV. This rapidity interval corresponds to a Bjorken-x range (0.3-1.4)×10^{-3}. Cross sections are given in five |t| intervals in the range 0.04<|t|<1 GeV^{2} and compared to the predictions by different models. Models that ignore quantum fluctuations of the gluon density in the colliding hadron predict a |t| dependence of the cross section much steeper than in data. The inclusion of such fluctuations in the same models provides a better description of the data.

Abstract
Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a heterogenous group of lymphoid malignancies. Based on gene expression profiling, it has been subdivided into germinal center (GC)-derived and activated B-cell (ABC) types. Advances in molecular methodologies have further refined the subclassification of DLBCL, based on recurrent genetic abnormalities. Here, we describe a distinct case of DLBCL that presented in leukemic form. DNA sequencing targeting 275 genes revealed pathogenically relevant mutations of CD79B, MyD88, TP53, TBL1XR1, and PIM1 genes, indicating that this lymphoma would be best classified as MCD/C5 DLBCL, an ABC subtype. Despite an initial good clinical response to BTK inhibitor ibrutinib, anti-CD20 antibody rituxan, alkylating agent bendamustine, and hematopoietic stem-cell transplant, the lymphoma relapsed, accompanied by morphologic and molecular evidence of disease progression. Specifically, the recurrent tumor developed loss of TP53 heterozygosity (LOH) and additional chromosomal changes central to ABC DLBCL pathogenesis, such as PRDM1 loss. Acquired resistance to ibrutinib and rituxan was indicated by the emergence of BTK and FOXO1 mutations, respectively, as well as apparent activation of alternative cell-activation pathways, through copy-number alterations (CNAs), detected by high-resolution chromosomal microarrays. In vitro, studies of relapsed lymphoma cells confirmed resistance to standard BTK inhibitors but sensitivity to vecabrutinib, a noncovalent inhibitor active against both wild-type as well as mutated BTK. In summary, we provide in-depth molecular characterization of a de novo leukemic DLBCL and discuss mechanisms that may have contributed to the lymphoma establishment, progression, and development of drug resistance.

Abstract
Understanding the role of parton mass and Casimir color factors in the quantum chromodynamics parton shower represents an important step in characterizing the emission properties of heavy quarks. Recent experimental advances in jet substructure techniques have provided the opportunity to isolate and characterize gluon emissions from heavy quarks. In this Letter, the first direct experimental constraint on the charm-quark splitting function is presented, obtained via the measurement of the groomed shared momentum fraction of the first splitting in charm jets, tagged by a reconstructed D^{0} meson. The measurement is made in proton-proton collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV, in the low jet transverse-momentum interval of 15≤p_{T}^{jet ch}<30 GeV/c where the emission properties are sensitive to parton mass effects. In addition, the opening angle of the first perturbative emission of the charm quark, as well as the number of perturbative emissions it undergoes, is reported. Comparisons to measurements of an inclusive-jet sample show a steeper splitting function for charm quarks compared with gluons and light quarks. Charm quarks also undergo fewer perturbative emissions in the parton shower, with a reduced probability of large-angle emissions.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of the study was to analyze the changes in angiotensin (Ang) levels in patients with sepsis complicated with acute kidney injury (AKI) and evaluate the relationship between Ang and AKI. PATIENTS AND METHODS Prospective research methods were used in this study. A total of 66 sepsis patients admitted to the Intensive care Unit (ICU) of the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University from October 2020 to January 2021 were enrolled. According to the occurrence of AKI, patients were divided into the sepsis-associated AKI (SA-AKI) group and the non-AKI group. The levels of Ang-1 and Ang-2 were compared between the two groups. The relationship between Ang and glomerular filtration rate (GFR) in sepsis patients was studied by correlation analysis. RESULTS Plasma Ang-1 in the SA-AKI group was significantly higher than that in the non-AKI group (0.39±1.05 ng/ml vs. 0.10±0.24 ng/ml, p=0.039). The Ang-2/Ang-1 in the SA-AKI group was lower than that in the non-AKI group with a significant difference (52.55±191.38 vs. 349.50±327.49, p=0.001). Correlation analysis indicated that Ang-1 was negatively correlated with GFR (r=-0.12, p=0.031), while Ang-2/Ang-1 was positively correlated with GFR (r=0.21, p<0.001). The Ang-2 was positively correlated with GFR (r=0.204, p<0.001) CONCLUSIONS: Plasma Ang-1 and Ang-2 levels are suggestive for assessing the risk of AKI in patients with sepsis.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The predictive values of cervix length (CL) measurement based on transvaginal ultrasonography (TVUS) and pathological examination of placenta for premature delivery (PTD) were investigated, and the correlation between PTD and infection was analyzed. PATIENTS AND METHODS A total of 120 pregnant women with PTD or high-risk factors for PTD admitted to Hengyang Maternal and Child Health Hospital, between February 2020 and March 2022 were included in this retrospective study. There were 36 subjects in the PTD group and 84 in the normal delivery group (control group). They underwent pathological examination of the placenta and TVUS for CL measurement. The final gestational age was set as the standard for the evaluation of the predictive values of pathological examination of the placenta and TVUS. Moreover, a pathological examination of the placenta was used to analyze the correlation between PTD and infection. RESULTS The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), and negative predictive value (NPV) of joint inspection were remarkably superior to those of single CL or pathological examination of the placenta (p<0.05). The proportion of pregnant women with CL ≤30 mm and positive placental pathology was higher than that of pregnant women with CL >30 mm and negative placental pathology (p<0.05). In addition, the incidence of Ureaplasma urealyticum (UU), Chlamydia trachomatis (CT), and chorioamnionitis (CA) in the vaginal discharge of the PTD group was markedly superior to that of the control group (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS The combination of CL ≤30 mm and positive placental pathology could effectively predict PTD, and placental infection was notably correlated with the occurrence of PTD.

Abstract
The most precise measurements to date of the _{Λ}^{3}H lifetime τ and Λ separation energy B_{Λ} are obtained using the data sample of Pb-Pb collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV collected by ALICE at the LHC. The _{Λ}^{3}H is reconstructed via its charged two-body mesonic decay channel (_{Λ}^{3}H→^{3}He+π^{-} and the charge-conjugate process). The measured values τ=[253±11(stat)±6(syst)] ps and B_{Λ}=[102±63(stat)±67(syst)] keV are compatible with predictions from effective field theories and confirm that the _{Λ}^{3}H structure is consistent with a weakly bound system.

Abstract
The first measurement of event-by-event antideuteron number fluctuations in high energy heavy-ion collisions is presented. The measurements are carried out at midrapidity (|η|<0.8) as a function of collision centrality in Pb-Pb collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV using the ALICE detector. A significant negative correlation between the produced antiprotons and antideuterons is observed in all collision centralities. The results are compared with a state-of-the-art coalescence calculation. While it describes the ratio of higher order cumulants of the antideuteron multiplicity distribution, it fails to describe quantitatively the magnitude of the correlation between antiproton and antideuteron production. On the other hand, thermal-statistical model calculations describe all the measured observables within uncertainties only for correlation volumes that are different with respect to those describing proton yields and a similar measurement of net-proton number fluctuations.

Abstract
The transverse-momentum (p_{T}) spectra and coalescence parameters B_{2} of (anti)deuterons are measured in p-p collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV for the first time in and out of jets. In this measurement, the direction of the leading particle with the highest p_{T} in the event (p_{T}^{lead}>5 GeV/c) is used as an approximation for the jet axis. The event is consequently divided into three azimuthal regions, and the jet signal is obtained as the difference between the toward region, that contains jet fragmentation products in addition to the underlying event (UE), and the transverse region, which is dominated by the UE. The coalescence parameter in the jet is found to be approximately a factor of 10 larger than that in the underlying event. This experimental observation is consistent with the coalescence picture and can be attributed to the smaller average phase-space distance between nucleons in the jet cone as compared with the underlying event. The results presented in this Letter are compared to predictions from a simple nucleon coalescence model, where the phase-space distributions of nucleons are generated using pythia8 with the Monash 2013 tuning, and to predictions from a deuteron production model based on ordinary nuclear reactions with parametrized energy-dependent cross sections tuned on data. The latter model is implemented in pythia8.3. Both models reproduce the observed large difference between in-jet and out-of-jet coalescence parameters, although the almost flat trend of the B_{2}^{Jet} is not reproduced by the models, which instead give a decreasing trend.

Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) prophylactic therapy for latent infection, which can reduce the risk for the development of active TB, is an important measure in TB control. China recommends prophylactic therapy for latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) in some key populations to reduce the risk for TB. Contacts of patients with multi-drug and rifampicin-resistant TB (MDR/RR-TB) are at high risk for the infection with drug-resistant pathogen, however, no unified prophylactic therapy regimen has been recommended for LTBI due to exposure to MDR/RR-TB patients. This paper summarizes the current MDR/RR-TB prophylactic therapy regimen and its protection effect based on the results of the retrieval of literature, guidelines, expert consensus and technical specifications to provide reference for the prevention and control of LTBI.

Abstract
SHP1, a tyrosine phosphatase, negatively regulates B-cell receptor (BCR) signaling. Ibrutinib selectively inhibits BTK and has been approved for the treatment of several types of B-cell lymphomas, but not yet in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). A phase 3 clinical trial of ibrutinib-containing regimen has been completed to evaluate its activity in subtypes or subsets of DLBCL patients. Although the subtype of activated B-cell like (ABC) DLBCL is characterized by chronic active BCR signaling, only a fraction of ABC-DLBCL patients seem to benefit from ibrutinib-containing regimen. New alternative predictive biomarkers are needed to identify patients who better respond. We investigated if SHP1 plays a role in defining the level of the BCR activity and impacts the response to ibrutinib. A meta-analysis revealed that lack of SHP1 protein expression as well as SHP1 promoter hypermethylation is strongly associated with NHL including DLBCL. On a tissue microarray of 95 DLBCL samples, no substantial difference in SHP1 expression was found between the GCB and non-GCB subtypes of DLBCL. However, we identified a strong reverse correlation between SHP1 expression and promoter methylation suggesting that promoter hypermethylation is responsible for SHP1 loss. SHP1 knockout in BCR-dependent GCB and ABC cell lines increased BCR signaling activities and sensitize lymphoma cells to the action of ibrutinib. Rescue of SHP1 in the knockout clones, on the other hand, restored BCR signaling and ibrutinib resistance. Further, pharmacological inhibition of SHP1 in both cell lines and patient-derived primary cells demonstrate that SHP1 inhibition synergized with ibrutinib in suppressing tumor cell growth. Thus, SHP1 loss may serve as an alternative biomarker to cell-of-origin to identify patients who potentially benefit from ibrutinib treatment. Our results further suggest that reducing SHP1 pharmacologically may represent a new strategy to augment tumor response to BCR-directed therapies. Schematic diagram summarizing the major findings. [Accuracy of the China-PAR and WHO risk models in predicting the ten-year risks of cardiovascular disease in the Chinese population]. Abstract
Objective: To externally validate and compare the accuracy of the China-PAR (Prediction for ASCVD Risk in China) model and the 2019 World Health Organization (WHO) cardiovascular disease risk charts for East Asian in predicting a 10-year cardiovascular disease in a general Chinese population. Methods: Participants aged 40-79 years without prior cardiovascular disease at baseline in the CHinese Electronic health Records Research in Yinzhou (CHERRY) were analyzed. The Kaplan-Meier analysis estimated the observed cardiovascular events (including non-fatal myocardial infarction, fatal coronary heart disease, and non-fatal or fatal stroke) rate within ten years. The expected risks were calculated using the WHO risk charts for East Asia (including the laboratory-based and non-laboratory-based models) and the China-PAR model. The expected-observed ratios were calculated to evaluate the overestimation or underestimation of the models in the cohort. Model accuracy was assessed by discrimination C-index, calibration χ2 value, and calibration plots. Results: During a median of 7.26 years of follow-up, 13 301 cardiovascular events were identified among 225 811 participants. The C-index for the China-PAR model, WHO laboratory-based model and WHO non-laboratory-based model were 0.741 (0.735-0.747), 0.747 (0.740-0.753), and 0.739 (0.733-0.746) for men, and 0.782 (0.776-0.788), 0.789 (0.783-0.795), and 0.782 (0.776-0.787) for women, respectively. The WHO laboratory-based model and non-laboratory-based model underestimated the 10-year ASCVD risk by around 15% in women and underestimated by 0.8% and 4.4% in men, respectively. The China-PAR model underestimated the risks by 19.5% and 42.3% for men and women. Conclusions: The China-PAR and WHO models all have pretty good discriminations for 10-year cardiovascular risk assessment in this general Chinese population. However, the accuracy should be improved in the highest-risk groups, suggesting further specific models are still needed for those with the highest risk, such as patients with diabetes or older persons.

Abstract
Molecular dynamics simulations are performed to study the mechanical properties and deformation mechanisms of a heterogeneous face-centered cubic/ body-centered cubic Cu/Ta nanolayered composite under uniaxial tension and compression. The results show that the stress-strain curves exhibit two main yield points in tension while only one yield point during compression, and the deformation primarily experiences three stages. The first stage is linearly elastic at small strains, followed by the nucleation and propagation of dislocations and stacking faults in the Cu layers, and eventually the Ta layers yield to plastic deformation. The yield of the specimen is mainly determined by the dislocation evolution in the hard phase (i.e. Ta layers), which leads to a sharp drop in the stress-strain curve. We show that the heterogeneous nanolayered composite exhibits a good deformation compatibility during compression but an obvious deformation incompatibility between Cu and Ta layers in tension. The temperature effect is also systematically investigated. It is revealed that the yield of the specimen at higher temperature depends only on the dislocation evolution in the thick Ta layers, and the yield strengths in tension and compression both decrease with the increasing temperature. In particular, our computations show that high temperature can significantly suppress the dislocation activities in the Cu layers during deformation, which results in a lower dislocation density of the Cu layers compared with that of the Ta layers and thus causing an incompatible fashion among the constituent layers.

Abstract
Objective: To validate the performance of cardiovascular risk prediction models based on the Sweden National Diabetes Register (NDR) and Diabetes Lifetime-perspective prediction (DIAL) model for assessing risks of 5-year and 10-year cardiovascular disease (CVD) among Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods: Based on the Chinese Electronic Health Records Research in Yinzhou study, 83 503 patients with type 2 diabetes aged 30-75 years without a history of CVD at baseline were included from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2020. Recalibrated NDR model was used to estimate 5-year risk, while the recalibrated DIAL model was used to predict 5-year and 10-year risks. The competing events adjusted Kaplan-Meier analysis was used to obtain the observed cardiovascular events. Discrimination C statistics evaluated model accuracy, calibration χ2 value, and calibration plots. Results: Through a median follow-up of 7.0 years, 7 326 cardiovascular events, and 2 937 non-vascular deaths were identified among a total of 83 503 subjects. The recalibrated NDR model overestimated 5-year risk by 39.4% in men and 8.6% in women, whereas the overestimation for the recalibrated DIAL model was 14.6% in men and 50.1% in women. The DIAL model had a better discriminative ability (C-statistic=0.681, 95%CI: 0.672-0.690) than NDR model (C-statistic=0.667, 95%CI: 0.657-0.677) in 5-year risk prediction for men, and the models had a similar ability for women (C-statistic=0.699, 95%CI: 0.690-0.708 for NDR and C-statistic=0.698, 95%CI: 0.689-0.706 for DIAL). The prediction accuracy of the DIAL model was improved in the 10-year risk, with the underestimation being 1.6% for men and the overestimation being 12.8% for women. Conclusions: Both recalibrated NDR and DIAL models overestimated 5-year cardiovascular risk in Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes, while the higher overestimation was shown using the DIAL model. However, the improvement was found in predicting 10-year CVD risk using the DIAL model, which suggested the value of lifetime risk prediction and indicated the need for research on the lifetime risk prediction model for cardiovascular risk assessment in Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes.

Abstract
It has been recognized that ultra-high strength and high modulus ultra-highly drawn Polyethylene (PE) fiber is produced from the formation of extended chain crystal. Nevertheless, whether extended chain crystal exists in gel spinning ultra-highly drawn PE fiber is still an unsettled question. In this work, decalin was adopted as a solvent for PE gel spinning. By means of thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction methods etc, the existence of extended chain crystal was explored. Reasons for confusion in previous studies of this problem were discussed.
In PE fiber from 3 wt-°/o dope, extended chain crystal starts to form during draw ratios over 20. When draw ratio equals 42, the content of extended chain crystal roughly equals that of folded chain crystal. The melting point of extended chain crystal is 6°C higher than that of folded chain crystal. They are 145.5° C and 150° C to 152.5° C respectively. The latter would slightly rise with arise of draw ratio.
Multi-crystallization behavior of annealed PE fiber was determined and discussed. It was also confirmed that there is a linear logarithm relationship between thermal shrinkage (internal stresses) and fiber moduli.

Abstract
Organic acids play a pivotal role in improving plant response to long-term drought stress. External application of organic acids has been reported to improve drought resistance in several species. However, whether organic acids have similar effects in tobacco remains unknown. A screening study of the protective function of organic acids in tobacco and understanding the underlying molecular mechanism would be useful in developing a strategy for drought tolerance. Several physiological and molecular adaptations to drought including abscisic acid, stomatal closure, reactive oxygen species homeostasis, amino acid accumulation, and drought-responsive gene expression were observed by exogenous citric acid in tobacco plants. Exogenous application of 50 mm citric acid to tobacco plants resulted in higher chlorophyll content, net photosynthesis, relative water content, abscisic acid content and lower stomatal conductance, transpiration and water loss under drought conditions. Moreover, reactive oxygen species homeostasis was better maintained through increasing activity of antioxidant enzymes and decreasing hydrogen peroxide content after citric acid pretreatment under drought. Amino acids involved in the TCA cycle accumulated after external application of citric acid under drought stress. Furthermore, several drought stress-responsive genes also dramatically changed after application of citric acid. These data support the idea that external application of citric acid enhances drought resistance by affecting physiological and molecular regulation in tobacco. This study provides clear insights into mechanistic details of regulation of amino acid and stress-responsive gene expression by citric acid in tobacco in response to drought, which is promising for minimizing growth inhibition in agricultural fields.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the correlation between UGT1A1 polymorphisms and the irinotecan plus S-1 regimen-induced toxicities in Chinese advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) patients. Methods: A total of 46 recurrent or metastatic ESCC patients selected from ESWN 01 trial were randomly assigned to irinotecan plus S-1 group [intravenous infusion of irinotecan (160 mg/m(2)) on day 1 and oral S-1 (80-120 mg) on days 1-10, repeated every 14 days]. Peripheral venous blood at baseline was collected and genomic DNA was extracted. The genetic polymorphisms of UGT1A1*6 and UGT1A1*28 were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification. Irinotecan plus S-1 regimen-induced toxicities of patients with different UGT1A1 polymorphisms were observed. The correlation between UGT1A1 polymorphisms and the adverse effects was analyzed. Results: Among the 46 patients, the numbers of UGT1A1*6 wild type genotype (GG), mutant heterozygote (GA) and mutant homozygote (AA) were 30, 15 and 1, while those with UGT1A1*28 wild type genotype (TA6/6), mutant heterozygote (TA6/7) and mutant homozygote (TA7/7) were 36, 8 and 2, respectively. Only one patient with UGT1A1*6 AA genotype occurred grade 3 diarrhea, while one of the 2 patients with UGT1A1*28 TA7/7 genotype occurred grade 4 diarrhea. No neutropenia was observed in the patient with UGT1A1*6 AA genotype, however, both of the two patients with UGT1A1*28 TA7/7 genotype occurred grade 3-4 neutropenia. Patients with UGT1A1*28 genetic polymorphism (TA 6/7 or TA7/7) had a higher response rate compared with wild-type TA6/6 carriers. (55.6% versus 26.5%). Conclusions: The homozygous genotype of UGT1A1*6 AA and UGT1A1*28 TA7/7 are rare (<5%) in Chinese ESCC population. Not all homozygous AA and TA7/7 carriers occur severe dose limited toxicities (DLT) when treated with irinotecan (160 mg/m(2)) plus S-1 regimen for 2 weeks. However, it's still necessary torigorously observe the occurrence of severe diarrhea and neutropenia in patients with UGT1A1*6 AA and UGT1A1*28 TA7/7 and adjust the dose timely.

Abstract
N-tert-butyldimethylsilyl-N-methyltrifluoroacetamide (MTBSTFA), mixed with the solvent N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), is used as a derivatizing reagent by the Sample Analysis at Mars (SAM) experiment onboard NASA's Curiosity rover and will soon be utilized by the Mars Organic Molecule Analyzer experiment onboard the ESA/Roscosmos Rosalind Franklin rover. The pyrolysis products of MTBSTFA, DMF, and the MTBSTFA/DMF mixtures, obtained at different temperatures, were analyzed. Two different pyrolysis modes were studied, flash pyrolysis and ramp pyrolysis (35°C/min), to evaluate the potential influence of the sample heating speed on the production of products in space chromatographs. The effect of the presence of calcium perchlorate on the pyrolysis products of MTBSTFA/DMF was also studied to ascertain the potential effect of perchlorate species known to be present at the martian surface. The results show that MTBSTFA/DMF derivatization should be applied below 300°C when using flash pyrolysis, as numerous products of MTBSTFA/DMF were formed at high pyrolysis temperatures. However, when an SAM-like ramp pyrolysis was applied, the final pyrolysis temperature did not appear to influence the degradation products of MTBSTFA/DMF. All products of MTBSTFA/DMF pyrolysis are listed in this article, providing a major database of products for the analysis of martian analog samples, meteorites, and the in situ analysis of martian rocks and soils. In addition, the presence of calcium perchlorate does not show any obvious effects on the pyrolysis of MTBSTFA/DMF: Only chloromethane and TBDMS-Cl (chloro-tertbutyldimethylsilane) were detected, whereas chlorobenzene and other chlorine-bearing compounds were not detected. However, other chlorine-bearing compounds were detected after pyrolysis of the Murchison meteorite in the presence of calcium perchlorate. This result reinforces previous suggestions that chloride-bearing compounds could be reaction products of martian samples and perchlorate.

Abstract
In this study, the effect of the Tongxin formula (TXF) on the apoptosis of H9c2 cardiomyocytes induced by cobalt chloride (CoCl2) was investigated, and the potential mechanism was explored. A hypoxic injury model of H9c2 cardiomyocytes was established using CoCl2. The cell viability was measured using a Cell Counting Kit-8 assay. The lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release and caspase-3 activity were measured using spectrophotometry. The apoptosis was measured via Annexin V-FITC/PI staining and flow cytometry. The changes in the mitochondrial membrane potential were examined using immunofluorescence microscopy following the loading of JC-1 probes. The expressions of apoptosis-related proteins and key proteins in the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase B (PI3K/Akt) pathway were examined via immunoblotting. The different TXF concentrations studied significantly improved the percentage of viability of cardiomyocytes with hypoxic injury, and the LDH release, apoptotic rate, caspase-3 activity, and levels of cleaved caspase-3 protein were reduced in the injured cells. Additionally, the TXF group had increased mitochondrial membrane potential, upregulated expression of Bcl-2 and p-Akt proteins, and significantly reduced expression of cleaved caspase-3 protein in the cells with hypoxic injury. Moreover, in the TXF group, the treatment significantly reduced the BAX protein expression, but the difference was not statistically significant compared with the CoCl2 group. In this study, TXF regulated the expression of apoptosis-related proteins, inhibited apoptosis, increased the mitochondrial membrane potential, and alleviated damage to the mitochondrial membrane, thereby protecting the cardiomyocytes from hypoxic injury. The underlying mechanism could be related to activation of the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway and upregulation of the Bcl-2 protein.

Abstract
This paper presents the Mechanical Ventilator Milano (MVM), a novel intensive therapy mechanical ventilator designed for rapid, large-scale, low-cost production for the COVID-19 pandemic. Free of moving mechanical parts and requiring only a source of compressed oxygen and medical air to operate, the MVM is designed to support the long-term invasive ventilation often required for COVID-19 patients and operates in pressure-regulated ventilation modes, which minimize the risk of furthering lung trauma. The MVM was extensively tested against ISO standards in the laboratory using a breathing simulator, with good agreement between input and measured breathing parameters and performing correctly in response to fault conditions and stability tests. The MVM has obtained Emergency Use Authorization by U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in healthcare settings during the COVID-19 pandemic and Health Canada Medical Device Authorization for Importation or Sale, under Interim Order for Use in Relation to COVID-19. Following these certifications, mass production is ongoing and distribution is under way in several countries. The MVM was designed, tested, prepared for certification, and mass produced in the space of a few months by a unique collaboration of respiratory healthcare professionals and experimental physicists, working with industrial partners, and is an excellent ventilator candidate for this pandemic anywhere in the world.

Abstract
The Mars Organic Molecule Analyzer (MOMA) and Sample Analysis at Mars (SAM) instruments onboard the Exomars 2022 and Mars Science Laboratory rovers, respectively, are capable of organic matter detection and differentiating potentially biogenic from abiotic organics in martian samples. To identify organics, both these instruments utilize pyrolysis-gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry, and the thermochemolysis agent tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH) is also used to increase organic volatility. However, the reactivity and efficiency of TMAH thermochemolysis are affected by the presence of calcium perchlorate on the martian surface. In this study, we determined the products of TMAH pyrolysis in the presence and absence of calcium perchlorate at different heating rates (flash pyrolysis and SAM-like ramp pyrolysis with a 35°C·min-1 heating rate). The decomposition mechanism of TMAH pyrolysis in the presence of calcium perchlorate was studied by using stepped pyrolysis. Moreover, the effect of calcium perchlorate (at Mars-relevant concentrations) on the recovery rate of fatty acids with TMAH thermochemolysis was studied. Results demonstrate that flash pyrolysis yields more diversity and greater abundances of TMAH thermochemolysis products than does the SAM-like ramp pyrolysis method. There is no obvious effect of calcium perchlorate on TMAH degradation when the [ClO4-] is lower than 10 weight percent (wt %). Most importantly, the presence of calcium perchlorate does not significantly impact the recovery rate of fatty acids with TMAH thermochemolysis under laboratory conditions, which is promising for the detection of fatty acids via TMAH thermochemolysis with the SAM and MOMA instruments on Mars.

Abstract
Corrosion is an electrochemical phenomenon. It can occur via different modes of attack, each having its own mechanisms, and therefore there are multiple metrics for evaluating corrosion resistance. In corrosion resistant alloys (CRAs), the rate of localized corrosion can exceed that of uniform corrosion by orders of magnitude. Therefore, instead of uniform corrosion rate, more complex electrochemical parameters are required to capture the salient features of corrosion phenomena. Here, we collect a database with an emphasis on metrics related to localized corrosion. The six sections of the database include data on various metal alloys with measurements of (1) pitting potential, Epit, (2) repassivation potential, Erp, (3) crevice corrosion potential, Ecrev, (4) pitting temperature, Tpit, (5) crevice corrosion temperature, Tcrev, and (6) corrosion potential, Ecorr, corrosion current density, icorr, passivation current density, ipass, and corrosion rate. The experimental data were collected from 85 publications and include Al- and Fe-based alloys, high entropy alloys (HEAs), and a Ni-Cr-Mo ternary system. This dataset could be used in the design of highly corrosion resistant alloys.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the potential function of MDM2-mediated Notch/hes1 signaling pathway in cisplatin-induced renal injury. METHODS The acute renal injury models of mice after intraperitoneal injection of cisplatin in vivo, and the apoptotic models of human renal tubular epithelial (HK-2) cells induced by cisplatin in vitro, were conducted respectively. The renal function-related parameters were measured. The renal tissue pathological changes and apoptosis were observed by PAS staining and TUNEL staining, respectively. Cell viability and apoptosis were detected by MTT and flow cytometry. Notch/hes1 pathway-related proteins were tested by Western blotting. RESULTS After mice injected by cisplatin, the levels of Cr, BUN, urine cystatin C, urine NGAL and urine ACR were increased and GFR was decreased with the elevation of renal tubular injury scores, the upregulation of the expressions of MDM2, N1ICD, Hes1 and Cleaved caspase-3, as well as the enhancement of cell apoptosis accompanying decreased ratio of Bcl-2/Bax. However, these cisplatin-induced renal injuries of mice have been improved by MDM2 inhibition. Besides, the declined viability, increased cytotoxicity, and enhanced apoptosis were observed in cisplatin-induced HK-2 cells, with the activated Notch/hes1 pathway. Notably, the phenomenon was alleviated in cisplatin-induced HK-2 cells transfected with MDM2 shRNA, but was severer in those co-treated with AdMDM2. Moreover, Notch1 siRNA can reverse the injury of AdMDM2 on HK-2 cells. CONCLUSION Inhibiting MDM2 could reduce cell apoptosis through blocking Notch/hes1 signaling pathway, thus alleviating the acute renal injury caused by cisplatin.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) are promising biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis prediction of cancer. In the study, we aimed to investigate the potential clinical significance of the plasma miR-25 in non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC). PATIENTS AND METHODS We first compared the miRNAs expression pattern between NSCLC tissues and adjacent normal tissues then, bioinformatic analysis of the downstream targets of miR-25 was performed. The diagnostic and prognostic value of the plasma miR-25 in NSCLC was then evaluated. RESULTS The expression level of miR-25 was increased in NSCLC tissues compared to the adjacent normal tissues. In addition, bioinformatic analysis of the downstream-targeted genes of miR-25 revealed that many gene ontology functions and pathways were associated with cancer progression. The levels of plasma miR-25 were significantly upregulated in NSCLC patients compared to normal controls. In addition, the plasma miR-25 levels were especially higher in NSCLC patients with positive lymph node metastasis, poorly differentiation or advanced clinical stage. Subsequently, we found that the plasma miR-25 expression levels were dramatically decreased in 45 NSCLC patients after receiving surgical treatment. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis indicated that the plasma miR-25 exhibited high diagnostic sensitivity and specificity to discriminate NSCLC cases from healthy subjects. More interestingly, the combination of the plasma miR-25 and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) could effectively enhance the accuracy for distinguishing NSCLC patients from normal controls. Moreover, the plasma miR-25 overexpression was closely correlated with aggressive clinical characteristics and poor survival. Finally, the plasma miR-25 was identified as an independent prognostic marker for the overall survival of NSCLC. CONCLUSIONS Collectively, our findings demonstrated that the plasma miR-25 might serve as a novel promising biomarker in the diagnosis and prognosis prediction of NSCLC.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the epidemiological characteristics of COVID-19 monitoring cases in Yinzhou district based on health big data platform to provide evidence for the construction of COVID-19 monitoring system. Methods: Data on Yinzhou COVID-19 daily surveillance were collected. Information on patients' population classification, epidemiological history, COVID-19 nucleic acid detection rate, positive detection rate and confirmed cases monitoring detection rate were analyzed. Results: Among the 1 595 COVID-19 monitoring cases, 79.94% were community population and 20.06% were key population. The verification rate of monitoring cases was 100.00%. The total percentage of epidemiological history related to Wuhan city or Hubei province was 6.27% in total, and was 2.12% in community population and 22.81% in key population (P<0.001). The total COVID-19 nucleic acid detection rate was 18.24% (291/1 595), and 53.00% in those with epidemiological history and 15.92% in those without (P<0.001).The total positive detection rate was 1.72% (5/291) and the confirmed cases monitoring detection rate was 0.31% (5/1 595). The time interval from the first visit to the first nucleic acid detection of the confirmed monitoring cases and other confirmed cases was statistically insignificant (P>0.05). Conclusions: The monitoring system of COVID-19 based on the health big data platform was working well but the confirmed cases monitoring detection rate need to be improved.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To test the effect of Banxia Xiexin Decoction (, BXD) on the contraction and relaxation of gastric smooth muscle (SM) in diabetic gastroparesis (DGP) model rats, and to explore the mechanism of BXD in the prevention and treatment of DGP through experiments of signal pathway both in vivo and in vitro. METHODS Sixty Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 6 groups according to a random number table: control group, model group, high-, medium- and low-dose BXD groups (9.2, 4.6 and 1.8 g/(kg·d), respectively), and domperidone group (10 mg/(kg·d)), 10 rats per group. DGP model was established initially by a single intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ), and was confirmed by recording gastric emptying, intestinal transport velocity and gastric myoelectric activity of rats after 2 months. Each group was treated with a corresponding drug for 4 weeks. The mRNA and protein expressions of phospholipase C (PLC), inositol triphosphate (IP3), neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS), and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) dependent protein kinase G (PKG) were detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and Western blot, respectively, while nitric oxide (NO) and cGMP expressions were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Gastric tissues were obtained from rats for primary cell culture preparation. Gastric SM cells were treated with 0.8 µmol/L of STZ or STZ plus 1,000, 500 and 200 µg/mL of BXD or STZ plus 2.5 µmol/mL of domperidone for 24, 48, 72 or 96 h, respectively. The length of gastric SM cells and intracellular Ca2+ concentration ([Ca2+]i) before and after BXD treatment was measured. RESULTS Compared with the model group, high- and medium-dose BXD and domperidone significantly increased the expressions of PLC, IP3, NO, nNOS, cGMP and PKG in rat's gastric tissue (P<0.01). Gastric SM cells treated with BXD showed a time- and dose-dependent increase in cell viability (P<0.01). The treatment with high- and medium-dose BXD and domperidone inhibited the increase in gastric SM cells length and increased [Ca2+]i compared with the model cells (P<0.01). CONCLUSIONS Treatment with high- and medium-dose BXD significantly attenuated STZ-induced experimental DGP in rats. The therapeutic effect of BXD on DGP rats might be associated with the PLC-IP3-Ca2+/NO-cGMP-PKG signal pathway.

Abstract
Objective: To confirm the cutoff induration diameter of tuberculin skin test (TST) so as to decrease the false positive of the TST. Methods: Fasting blood glucose test, TST and Quanti FERON-TB (QFT) Gold In-Tube test were administered to recruit participants at the baseline stage. QFT was used as the gold standard to determine the cutoff of the TST test. Results: Overall, 5 405 participants were enrolled in this study, of whom 1 104 (20.4%) were QFT positive. Among all the 5 405 participants that without stratification, diagnostic value reached the highest when the induration diameter was 10.25 mm with sensitivity and specificity as 0.731 and 0.727, respectively. When the participants were divided into groups as nondiabetics, confirmed diabetics, undiagnosed diabetics, the sensitivities and specificities appeared as 0.701, 0.837, 0.824 and 0.805, 0.821, 0.778 with induration diameters as 11.25 mm, 10.25 mm and 11.25 mm, respectively. Conclusions: Findings of this study confirmed that the specificity of tuberculin test could be significantly improved by using 10-12 mm as the cutoff value for diagnosing the latent tuberculosis infection.
