Abstract
INTRODUCTION Nowadays, the occurrence of surgical benign ano-perianal diseases (SBAPD) is raising. Radiofrequency (RF) represents a surgical therapeutic method using high frequency radio waves to perform incisions, excisions and tissue coagulation. The main purpose of the study is to validate the possibility to use RF within the surgical treatment for outpatients with SBAPD; at the same time, a special consideration has been given to appreciate the efficiency of RF compared with other surgical methods. MATERIAL AND METHOD The study presents the results accumulated in 11 years (December 2003 - December 2014) in "PROCTOLINE" International Medical Center; also, we have taken into account the accomplishments on 783 outpatients, submitted to RF surgery for 10 different types of SBAPD. Various RF surgeries (cuttings, excisions, coagulations, curettages etc.) have been performed under local anesthesia. RESULTS The necessary time was usually less than 45 minutes, while the post-operatory duration for a total healing was in the range of 7 to 45 days. The percentage of minor complications was quite a small one (8,3%). Also, we might appreciate excellent post-treatment results (maximum value of 11 years); Typically, the patients return for periodic postoperative examination at first and fourth week after surgery. CONCLUSIONS RF represents an efficient, rapid and secure method for the treatment of SBAPD; it may be used in ambulatory, only under local anesthesia, offering to the patient a minimal post-operatory discomfort, as well as a rapid, esthetic and functional recovery of wound. By comparison with "classical surgery", the complications are rather minor ones and their percentage occurs in a lesser one.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The infectious syndrome associated with peritoneal dialysis is the most important complication of this substitution method of the renal function, also being the main cause of method failure. Refractory peritonitis can cause real problems in the differential diagnosis with secondary peritonitis, which can delay the surgical intervention and endanger the patient's life. MATERIALS AND METHODS The patients with an end stage renal disease under peritoneal dialysis, who were admitted to "I. Juvara" Surgical Clinic of "Dr. I. Cantacuzino" Clinical Hospital, between 2007 and 2011, were retrospectively analyzed for catheter removal/ replacement due to infectious complications or ultrafiltration failure. RESULTS 55 patients were identified: 33 with infectious complications (exit-site, tunnel infections 4 and peritonitis 29) and 22 with loss of peritoneum ultrafiltration capacity. The patients with ultrafiltration failure had a longer duration of PD and a smaller number of peritonitic episodes (0.28 episodes/ year at risk in the ultrafiltration failure group vs. 0.98, in the group of infectious complications). The removal of the catheter was the only surgical procedure performed for the patients with ultrafiltration failure, while the patients with peritonitis needed additional gestures like an exploratory laparotomy with peritoneal lavage and drainage and adhesiolysis in the majority of cases. In the group with infectious complications, 4 patients died: 2 by multisystem organ failure due to prolonged sepsis, one developed an upper gastrointestinal bleeding followed by respiratory insufficiency and one had in cataclysmic gastrointestinal bleeding which rapidly led to death. CONCLUSIONS The immediate operative approach for an infectious peritoneal syndrome under peritoneal dialysis is seldom necessary. The surgical observation is absolutely mandatory in every case. The absence of a response to the proper medical treatment is an indication of peritoneal cavity exploration including laparoscopy/ laparotomy. Any delay in the diagnosis and definitive treatment gives an extremely high mortality rate.

Abstract
Triticale is grown in Romania, mainly, in the hilly regions on the acid poor fertile soils and covers, yearly, around 100-130 thousands ha or 1.5% from the arable land. Since 1971, when the breeding program has been started, up to present, it has been developed an adapted triticale germplasm for the Romanian environmental conditions and 12 new varieties have been registered. Genetic progress for yield, estimated over a 27 years, is by 46 kg ha(1) year(1) or 0.80% year(1), similarly with those realized in the most dynamic triticale breeding programs of the world. The improving of yields has been achieved by an increased number of kernels per spikes, plumpness of kernels, test weight and reduction of the plant height by introduction in the Romanian triticale germplasm of RhtB1b (Rht1) and Ddw1 (Hl) genes. The genetic gain for reduction of plant height, in this period, was estimated at 1.16 cm yr(1). Further progress regarding yield stability under conditions of global climatic changes, a broader genetic diversity for preharvest sprouting (PHS), drought tolerance, earliness, high canopy albedo, diseases resistance, especially for fusarium head blight (low DON content in kernels), leaf rust and BYDV, is required.
