Abstract
Zinc-air batteries (ZABs) have attracted considerable attention for their high energy density, safety, low noise, and eco-friendliness. However, the capacity of mechanically rechargeable ZABs was limited by the cumbersome procedure for replacing the zinc anode, while electrically rechargeable ZABs suffer from issues including low depth of discharge, zinc dendrite and dead zinc formation, and sluggish oxygen evolution reaction, etc. To address these issues, we report a hybrid redox-mediated zinc-air fuel cell (HRM-ZAFC) utilizing 7,8-dihydroxyphenazine-2-sulfonic acid (DHPS) as the anolyte redox mediator, which shifts the zinc oxidation reaction from the electrode surface to a separate fuel tank. This approach decouples fuel feeding and electricity generation, providing greater operation flexibility and scalability for large-scale power generation applications. The DHPS-mediated ZAFC exhibited a superior peak power density of 0.51 W/cm2 and a continuous discharge capacity of 48.82 Ah with ZnO as the discharge product in the tank, highlighting its potential for power generation.

Abstract
Hyperglycemia-induced pathological microglial responses and subsequent neuronal damage are notable characteristics of diabetes-associated cognitive impairment (DACI). Cholesterol accumulation in the brain is a prevalent consequence of diabetes mellitus (DM), exacerbating pathological microglial responses. Regarding disordered glucose and lipid metabolism, the Sterol Regulatory Element-Binding Protein (SREBP) cleavage-activating protein (SCAP), a cholesterol sensor, exhibits increased expression and abnormal translocation from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi, amplifying the inflammatory response. Therefore, we hypothesized that overexpression of microglia-SCAP and cholesterol accumulation in DM mice could induce pathological microglial responses associated with DACI. Our type 2 DM mice model presented an abnormal increase in microglial SCAP expression. The functional loss of microglia-specific SCAP in DM mice improved cognitive impairment, neuronal synaptic plasticity deficits, and abnormal microglial responses. Mechanistically, the accumulated SCAP directly bound to and enhanced the activation of the microglial-specific inflammatory amplifier, NLRP3 inflammasome, in Golgi, thereby increasing pathological microglial responses and promoting neuronal damage. These findings indicate an important regulatory axis of microglial responses from SCAP to the NLRP3 inflammasome pathway in microglia. These underscore the crosstalk between cholesterol disorders and pathological microglial responses, offering a promising avenue for pharmaceutical interventions in DACI.

Abstract
An effective method by high-speed countercurrent chromatography coordinated with silver nitrate for the preparative separation of sterones and triterpenoid saponins from Achyranthes bidentata Blume was developed. Methyl tert-butyl ether/n-butanol/acetonitrile/water (4:2:3:8, v/v/v/v) was selected for 20-hydroxyecdysone (compound 1), chikusetsusaponin IVa methyl ester (compound 4), 2'-glycan-11-keto-pigmented saponin V (compound 5), as well as a pair of isomers of 25S-inokosterone (compound 2) and 25R-inokosterone (compound 3), which were further purified by silver nitrate coordinated high-speed countercurrent chromatography. What is more, dichloromethane/methanol/isopropanol/water (6:6:1:4, v/v/v/v) was applied for calenduloside E (compound 6), 3β-[(O-β-d-glucuronopyranosyl)-oxy]-oleana-11,13-dien-28-oic acid (compound 7), zingibroside R1 (compound 8) and chikusetsusaponin IVa (compound 9). Adding Ag+ to the solvent system resulted in unique selectivity for 25R/25S isomers of inokosterone, which increased the complexing capability and stability of Ag+ coordinated 25S-inokosterone, as well as the α value between them. These results were further confirmed by the computational calculation of geometry optimization and frontier molecular orbitals assay. Comprehensive mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance analysis demonstrated the structures of the obtained compounds.

Abstract
One new phenolic cyclobutantetraol ester united chromone glycoside (1), one new amide (2), and three new phenyl ethanol glycosides (3-5) were obtained from the water extract of Scindapsus officinalis (Roxb.) Schott, in which compound 1 was the first reported structure incorporating the phenolic cyclobutantetraol ester and chromone via the glucose phenolic metabolites in nature. Structures of the isolated compounds, including absolute configurations, were elucidated according to the analysis of HRESIMS, NMR, ECD and BLYP/6-31G* geometry optimization calculations of 13C NMR data. All isolates (1-5) were evaluated for the antidiabetic activity by the insulin resistance (IR) model and anti-inflammatory activity against NO production in vitro. Compounds 1-3 showed strong antidiabetic activities, greatly promoting the glucose consumption in the insulin resistance HepG2 cells compared with the model group, however, 1-5 showed weak anti-inflammatory activities.

Abstract
Cathodic protection is widely used to protect structural steel from corrosion in marine environments. However, an inappropriate cathodic potential may lead to hydrogen embrittlement (HE). Therefore, this study investigates the relationship between cathodic protection potential, structure and composition of calcareous deposits, and hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility of Q460 steel. The slow strain rate test results and fracture analysis reveal that Q460 steel had the smallest HE susceptibility when covered with the calcareous deposits formed under -1.1 VSCE. The deposits have a relatively thin calcium-rich inner layer and a condensed magnesium-rich outer layer, which can significantly inhibit hydrogen entry. A sustained deposition reaction during slow strain rate testing (SSRT) in artificial seawater can also decrease the HE susceptibility of Q460 steel.

Abstract
Objective: To conduct a nationwide physician survey to better understand clinicians' disease awareness, treatment patterns, and experience of Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM) in China. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted from February 2022 to July 2022 by recruiting clinicians with WM treatment experience from hematology, hematology-oncology, and oncology departments throughout China. Quantitative surveys were designed based on the qualitative interviews. Results: The study included 415 clinicians from 219 hospitals spread across thirty-three cities and twenty-two provinces. As for diagnosis, the laboratory tests prescribed by physicians for suspected WM patients were relatively consistent (92% -99% recommendation for laboratory, 79% -95% recommendation for pathology, 96% recommendation for gene testing, and 63% -83% recommendation for imaging examination). However, from a physician's perspective, there was 22% misdiagnosis occurred in clinical practice. The rate of misdiagnosis was higher in lower-level hospitals than in tertiary grade A hospitals (29% vs 21%, P<0.001). The main reasons for misdiagnosis were that WM was easily confused with other diseases, and physicians lacked the necessary knowledge to make an accurate diagnosis. In terms of gene testing in clinical practice, 96% of participating physicians believed that WM patients would require gene testing for MYD88 and CXCR4 mutations because the results of gene testing would aid in confirming diagnosis and treatment options. In terms of treatment, 55% of physicians thought that the most important goal was to achieve remission, while 54% and 51% of physicians wanted to improve laboratory and/or examination results and extend overall survival time, respectively. Among patients with treatment indications, physicians estimated that approximately 21% of them refused to receive treatment, mainly owing to a lack of affordable care and disease awareness. When selecting the most appropriate treatment regimens, physicians would consider patient affordability (63% ), comorbidity (61% ), and risk level (54% ). Regimens containing Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitor (BTKi) were most widely recommended for both treatment-naïve and relapsed/refractory patients (94% for all patients, 95% for treatment-naïve patients, and 75% for relapsed/refractory patients), and most physicians recommended Ibrutinib (84% ). For those patients who received treatment, physicians reported that approximately 23% of patients did not comply with the treatment regimen due to a lack of affordability and disease awareness. Furthermore, 66% of physicians believe that in the future, increasing disease awareness and improving diagnosis rates is critical. Conclusions: This study is the first national physician survey of WM conducted in China. It systematically describes the issues that exist in WM diagnosis and treatment in China, such as a high rate of misdiagnosis, limited access to gene testing and new drugs, and poor patient adherence to treatment. Chinese doctors believe that improving doctors' and patients' understanding of WM is one of the most urgent issues that must be addressed right now.

Abstract
In the present study, twelve compounds from Dioscorea spongiosa were successfully purified by an efficient technique combined bioassay-guided fractionation macroporous resin column chromatography (MRCC) pretreatment and high-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) separation for the first time. Then, D101 MRCC was used to fractionate the crude extract into five parts, which further applied the bioassay-guided fractionation strategy to screen the active fractions of 2 and 4. As for the separation, 200 mg Fr.2 was purified by HSCCC using EtOAc/n-BuOH/H2 O (2:2:3, v/v), leading to annulatomarin (1), dioscoresides C (2), diosniponol C (3), methyl protodioscin (4), pseudoprotodioscin (5), protogracillin (6), as well as 200 mg Fr.4 yielding montroumarin (7), dioscorone A (8), diosniponol D (9), protodioscin (10), gracillin (11), and dioscin (12) using CH2 Cl2 /MeOH/H2 O (3:3:2, v/v) with the purities over 95.0%. Finally, the isolates were assayed for their anti-inflammatory, urico-lowering, and anti-diabetic activities in vitro, which indicated that the steroidal saponins of 5, 6, and 11 showed all these three activities.

Abstract
The chemical composition of the aqueous part of the extract from Lindera aggregata was studied, which was separated and purified by the macroporous resin column chromatography, MCI medium pressure column chromatography, semi-preparative high-performance liquid phase and other methods. The structures of the compounds were identified according to physical and chemical properties and spectroscopic data. Thirteen compounds were isolated and identified from the aqueous extracts, which were identified as(1S,3R,5R,6R,8S,10S)-epi-lindenanolide H(1), tachioside(2), lindenanolide H(3), leonuriside A(4), 3,4-dihydroxyphenyl ethyl β-D-glucopyranoside(5), 3,4,5-trimethoxyphenol-1-O-6-α-L-rhamnose-(1→6)-O-β-D-glucoside(6), 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(7),(+)-lyoniresin-4-yl-β-D-glucopyranoside(8), lyoniside(9), norboldine(10), norisopordine(11), boldine(12), reticuline(13). Among them, compound 1 was a new one, and compounds 2, 5, 6, 8, 9 were obtained from L. aggregata for the first time. The inflammatory model was induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS) in the RAW264.7 cells. The results showed that compounds 1, 8, 10 and 12 had significant anti-inflammatory activity.

Abstract
AIMS Insulin resistance (IR) is a pivotal factor in the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Nevertheless, the impact of IR on cognitive dysfunction in T2DM patients with NAFLD remains inadequately understood. We aim to investigate the effect of IR on mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in T2DM individuals with NAFLD. MATERIALS AND METHODS 143 T2DM individuals were categorized into Non-MCI and MCI groups, as well as Non-NAFLD and NAFLD groups. Clinical parameters and cognitive preference test outcomes were compared. Correlation and regression analyses were executed to explore the interconnections between IR and cognitive details across all T2DM patients, as well as within the subgroup of individuals with NAFLD. RESULTS In comparison to the Non-MCI group, the MCI group displayed elevated HOMA-IR levels. Similarly, the NAFLD group exhibited higher HOMA-IR levels compared to the Non-NAFLD group. Additionally, a higher prevalence of MCI was observed in the NAFLD group as opposed to the Non-NAFLD group. Notably, HOMA-IR levels were correlated with Verbal Fluency Test (VFT) and Trail Making Test-B (TMTB) scores, both related to executive functions. Elevated HOMA-IR emerged as a risk factor for MCI in the all patients. Intriguingly, increased HOMA-IR not only correlated with TMTB scores but also demonstrated an influence on TMTA scores, reflecting information processing speed function in patients with NAFLD. CONCLUSION IR emerges as a contributory factor to cognitive dysfunction in T2DM patients. Furthermore, it appears to underlie impaired executive function and information processing speed function in T2DM individuals with NAFLD.

Abstract
The recombinant genotypes that can be produced when closely related species mate improve the genetic diversity of the population. Among closely related species, the link between interspecific reproduction behaviors and genetic diversity has barely been studied. Reticulitermes chinensis and R. flaviceps, which live close to each other, were used as research subjects in our study to find out how preferring conspecifics affects reproductive behavior between species. We discovered that neither R. chinensis nor R. flaviceps displayed preference behavior for conspecifics. Males of R. chinensis and R. flaviceps chased and groomed not only intraspecific females but also interspecific females. In a brief period of time, 2 mating behaviors, intra- and interspecific mating, were also observed. There were no significant differences in the duration of each behavior (tandem, grooming, and mating) between interspecies and intraspecies partners. Moreover, genetic analysis showed both interspecific mating and intraspecific mating can produce living offspring when the 2 types of mating occur in a colony. Our findings showed that there was no obvious intraspecific preference between the 2 species of termite Reticulitermes when it came to tandem, grooming, and mating, which not only makes it easier for interspecific hybridization to occur but also sheds light on the genetic diversity.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Interleukin (IL)-10 plays a notable role in the inflammatory-associated mild cognitive impairment (MCI). We aimed to investigate whether IL-10 and its upstream factors exert an impact on MCI in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients. METHODS A total of 117 T2DM patients were recruited and divided into Control group and MCI group based on the presence or absence of MCI. Clinical parameters were collected. The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) was conducted for global cognitive function. Digit Span Test (DST), Verbal Fluency Test (VFT), and Trail Making Test-B (TMTB) were used to evaluate the executive functions of the diabetic patients. Trail Making Test-A (TMTA) was performed to examine the information processing speed function. Patients' scene memory was examined by Logical Memory Test (LMT). After the baseline data were compared, correlation and regression analyses were performed to explore the relationship among IL-10, miR-let-7c-5p and cognitive function. RESULTS Compared to 80 patients in the control group, 37 patients in the MCI group exhibited lower IL-10 in plasma and higher miR-let-7c-5p levels in exosomes from plasma. The IL-10 level was negatively associated with MoCA. Likewise, miR-let-7c-5p levels were negatively correlated with IL-10 levels and MoCA. Elevated miR-let-7c-5p levels and decreased IL-10 levels are risk factors for MCI in T2DM patients. Increased miR-let-7c-5p and downregulated IL-10 may influence VFT and TMTB, respectively, associated with executive function. CONCLUSIONS We demonstrated that IL-10 is correlated to the executive function of T2DM patients. Decreased IL-10 may result from the regulation of miR-let-7c-5p in exosomes.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics, cytogenetics, molecular biology, treatment, and prognosis of patients with therapy-related myelodysplastic syndrome and acute myeloid leukemia (t-MDS/AML) secondary to malignancies. Methods: The clinical data of 86 patients with t-MDS/AML in West China Hospital of Sichuan University between January 2010 and April 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. The clinical characteristics, primary tumor types, and tumor-related therapies were analyzed. Results: The study enrolled a total of 86 patients with t-MDS/AML, including 67 patients with t-AML, including 1 patient with M(0), 6 with M(1), 27 with M(2), 9 with M(3), 12 with M(4), 10 with M(5), 1 with M(6), and 1 with M(7). Sixty-two patients could be genetically stratified, with a median overall survival (OS) of 36 (95% CI 22-52) months for 20 (29.9%) patients in the low-risk group and 6 (95% CI 3-9) months for 10 (14.9%) in the intermediate-risk group. The median OS time was 8 (95% CI 1-15) months in 32 (47.8%) patients in the high-risk group. For patients with non-acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) and AML, the median OS of the low-risk group was 27 (95% CI 18-36) months, which was significantly longer than that of the non-low-risk group (χ(2)=5.534, P=0.019). All 9 APL cases were treated according to the initial treatment, and the median OS was not reached, and the 1-, 2-, and 3-year OS rates were 100.0%, (75.0±6.2) %, and (75.0±6.2) % respectively. Of the 58 patients with non-APL t-AML (89.7%), 52 received chemotherapy, and 16 achieved complete remission (30.8%) after the first induction chemotherapy. The 1-, 2-, and 3-year OS rates of the non-APL t-AML group were (42.0 ± 6.6) %, (22.9±5.7) %, and (13.4±4.7) %, respectively. The median OS of patients who achieved remission was 24 (95% CI 18-30) months, and the median OS of those who did not achieve remission was 6 (95% CI 3-9) months (χ(2)=10.170, P=0.001). Bone marrow CR was achieved in 7 (53.8%) of 13 patients treated with vineclar-containing chemotherapy, with a median OS of 12 (95% CI 9-15) months, which was not significantly different from that of vineclar-containing chemotherapy (χ(2)=0.600, P=0.437). In 19 patients with t-MDS, the 1-, 2-, and 3-year OS rates were (46.8±11.6) %, (17.5±9.1) %, and (11.7±9.1) % with a median OS of 12 (95% CI 7-17) months, which was not significantly different from that in t-AML (χ(2)=0.232, P=0.630) . Conclusions: Breast cancer, bowel cancer, and other primary tumors are common in patients with t-MDS/AML, which have a higher risk of adverse genetics. Patients with APL had a high induction remission rate and a good long-term prognosis, whereas patients without APL had a low remission rate and a poor long-term prognosis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Increased levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) have been identified as one potential risk factor for diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) in patients. The current study seeks to clarify the link between LDL-C, hyperglycemia, and DPN in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). METHODS Here, a total of 120 T2DM individuals were recruited. These volunteers with T2DM were divided into 2 groups, based on the presence or absence of peripheral neuropathy. Additionally, their baseline characteristics were compared. Association among LDL-C and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels and DPN, particularly with respect to specific nerve conduction velocity were analyzed. To identify factors influencing DPN, regression was performed. Furthermore, mediation analysis was employed to evaluate the indirect, direct and total effects of LDL-C on specific nerve conduction velocity, with HbA1c serving as a mediator. RESULTS Compared to 55 patients without DPN, 65 patients with DPN demonstrated elevated levels of LDL-C and HbA1c. Both LDL-C and HbA1c have been found to be associated with reduced the motor fiber conduction velocities of Ulnar (or the Common peroneal) nerve in diabetic patients. HbA1c is one of the known risk factors for DPN in individuals with T2DM. Further mediation analysis revealed that the effect of LDL-C on the Ulnar (or the Common peroneal) nerve motor fiber conduction velocities are fully mediated by HbA1c in patients with T2DM. CONCLUSIONS The impact of elevated LDL-C levels upon the Ulnar (or the Common peroneal) nerve motor fiber conduction velocities in patients with T2DM was found to be entirely mediated by increased HbA1c levels.

Abstract
To verify the effect of sleep ambient music intervention (SAMI) on sleep quality and mental status of college students, and to further explore the minimum effective duration of SAMI, this study was designed as a pre-and post-intervention self-controlled exploratory study. Participants were subjected to a one-week no-intervention test, then 4 weeks of music intervention followed. Subjective sleep quality data were collected using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI); objective sleep quality data were collected with Actigraphy; and mental status data were collected using the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II). Data were analyzed and processed using mixed-effects models and repeated measures. The results showed that compared with the no-intervention week, college students' subjective sleep quality, objective sleep onset latency (SOL), trait anxiety, and depression symptom were reduced at week 1; week 2; week 3; week 4 under SAMI; state anxiety of college students at week 3 and week 4 under SAMI were also reduced. And there were differences in sleep quality among college students of different genders too. Compared with females, males had worse sleep efficiency (SE), shorter total sleep time (TST), and more awaking times (AT). In addition, 3 days was the minimum effective length for SAMI to shorten objective SOL, and 2 days was the minimum effective length to shorten the subjective SOL of college students. The findings of this study suggest that SAMI can improve subjective sleep quality, shorten objective SOL, and reduce anxiety and depression in college students. Interventions for more than 3 days had a significant effect on shortening SOL and long-term effects seemed to emerge after 3 weeks.

Abstract
Structural MRI and PET imaging play an important role in the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD), showing the morphological changes and glucose metabolism changes in the brain respectively. The manifestations in the brain image of some cognitive impairment patients are relatively inconspicuous, for example, it still has difficulties in achieving accurate diagnosis through sMRI in clinical practice. With the emergence of deep learning, convolutional neural network (CNN) has become a valuable method in AD-aided diagnosis, but some CNN methods cannot effectively learn the features of brain image, making the diagnosis of AD still presents some challenges. In this work, we propose an end-to-end 3D CNN framework for AD diagnosis based on ResNet, which integrates multi-layer features obtained under the effect of the attention mechanism to better capture subtle differences in brain images. The attention maps showed our model can focus on key brain regions related to the disease diagnosis. Our method was verified in ablation experiments with two modality images on 792 subjects from the ADNI database, where AD diagnostic accuracies of 89.71% and 91.18% were achieved based on sMRI and PET respectively, and also outperformed some state-of-the-art methods.

Abstract
Studies have identified that mating induces a series of physiological changes in animals. In this period, males tending to invest more energy, immune peptides, and other substances to reduce the cost of living for females. This results in lower survival rates in later life than females. Meanwhile, both males and females shorten lifespans due to reproduction. However, the reasons why termites' queens and kings are both extremely long-lived and highly fecund are unclear. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the effects of mating on the expression of immune and DNA repair genes for lifespan extension in termite queens and kings. Here, we reported that mated queens show relatively higher expression of immune genes (phenoloxidase, denfensin, termicin, transferrin), antioxidant genes (CAT, SOD), detoxification genes (GST, CYP450) than virgin queens in the Reticulitermes chinensis. In addition, mated kings also highly expressed these genes, except for termicin, transferrin, GST, and CYP450. After mating, both queens and kings significantly upregulated the expression of DNA repair genes (MLH1, BRCA1, XRCC3, RAD54-like). Mismatch repair genes (MMR) MSH2, MSH4, MSH6 were considerably increased in mated queens, while MSH4, MSH5, MSH6 were upregulated in mated kings. Our results suggest that mating increases the expression of immune and DNA repair genes in the termite queens and kings, and thus possibly improving their survival during reproductive span due to the omnipresent pathogens.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Male factors-caused decline in total fertility has raised significant concern worldwide. LncRNAs have been identified to play various roles in biological systems, including spermatogenesis. This study aimed to explore the role of lncRNA5251 in mouse spermatogenesis. METHODS The expression of lncRNA5251 was modulated in mouse testes in vivo or spermatogonial stem cells (C18-4 cells) in vitro by shRNA. RESULTS The sperm motility in two generations mice after modulation of lncRNA5251 (muF0 and muF1) was decreased significantly after overexpression of lncRNA5251. GO enrichment analysis found that knockdown lncRNA5251 increased the expression of genes related to cell junctions, and genes important for spermatogenesis in mouse testes. Meanwhile, overexpressing lncRNA5251 decreased the gene and/or protein expression of important genes for spermatogenesis and immune pathways in mouse testes. In vitro, knockdown lncRNA5251 increased the expression of genes for cell junction, and the protein levels of some cell junction proteins such as CX37, OCLN, JAM1, VCAM1 and CADM2 in C18-4 cells. LncRNA5251 is involved in spermatogenesis by modulation of cell junctions. CONCLUSION This will provide a theoretical basis for improving male reproductive ability via lncRNA.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the current status of diagnosis and treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) /small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) among hematologists, oncologists, and lymphoma physicians from hospitals of different levels in China. Methods: This multicenter questionnaire survey was conducted from March 2021 to July 2021 and included 1,000 eligible physicians. A combination of face-to-face interviews and online questionnaire surveys was used. A standardized questionnaire regarding the composition of patients treated for CLL/SLL, disease diagnosis and prognosis evaluation, concomitant diseases, organ function evaluation, treatment selection, and Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor was used. Results: ①The interviewed physicians stated that the proportion of male patients treated for CLL/SLL is higher than that of females, and the age is mainly concentrated in 61-70 years old. ②Most of the interviewed physicians conducted tests, such as bone marrow biopsies and immunohistochemistry, for patient diagnosis, in addition to the blood test. ③Only 13.7% of the interviewed physicians fully grasped the initial treatment indications recommended by the existing guidelines. ④In terms of cognition of high-risk prognostic factors, physicians' knowledge of unmutated immunoglobulin heavy-chain variable and 11q- is far inferior to that of TP53 mutation and complex karyotype, which are two high-risk prognostic factors, and only 17.1% of the interviewed physicians fully mastered CLL International Prognostic Index scoring system. ⑤Among the first-line treatment strategy, BTK inhibitors are used for different types of patients, and physicians have formed a certain understanding that BTK inhibitors should be preferentially used in patients with high-risk factors and elderly patients, but the actual use of BTK inhibitors in different types of patients is not high (31.6%-46.0%). ⑥BTK inhibitors at a reduced dose in actual clinical treatment were used by 69.0% of the physicians, and 66.8% of the physicians had interrupted the BTK inhibitor for >12 days in actual clinical treatment. The use of BTK inhibitors is reduced or interrupted mainly because of adverse reactions, such as atrial fibrillation, severe bone marrow suppression, hemorrhage, and pulmonary infection, as well as patients' payment capacity and effective disease progression control. ⑦Some differences were found in the perceptions and behaviors of hematologists and oncologists regarding the prognostic assessment of CLL/SLL, the choice of treatment options, the clinical use of BTK inhibitors, etc. Conclusion: At present, a gap remains between the diagnosis and treatment of CLL/SLL among Chinese physicians compared with the recommendations in the guidelines regarding the diagnostic criteria, treatment indications, prognosis assessment, accompanying disease assessment, treatment strategy selection, and rational BTK inhibitor use, especially the proportion of dose reduction or BTK inhibitor discontinuation due to high adverse events.

Abstract
Heterocyclic hydrocarbons pollution generated by oil spills and oilfield wastewater discharges threatens the ecological environment and human health. Here we described a strategy that combines the greenhouse gas CO2 reduction with microbial remediation. In the presence of nitrate, CO2 can improve the biodegradation efficiency of the resins and asphaltenes in heavy oil, particularly the biodegradation selectivity of the polar heterocyclic compounds by the newly isolated Klebsiella michiganensis. This strain encoded 80 genes for the xenobiotic biodegradation and metabolism, and can efficiently utilize CO2 when degrading heavy oil. The total abundance of resins and asphaltenes decreased significantly with CO2, from 40.816% to 26.909%, to 28.873% with O2, and to 36.985% with N2. The transcripts per million (TPM) value of accA gene was 57.81 under CO2 condition, while respectively 8.86 and 21.23 under O2 and N2 conditions. Under CO2 condition, the total relative percentage of N1-type heterocyclic compounds was selectively decreased from 32.25% to 22.78%, resulting in the heavy oil viscosity decreased by 46.29%. These results demonstrated a novel anaerobic degradation mechanism that CO2 can promote the anaerobic biodegradation of heterocyclic hydrocarbons in heavy oil, which provides a promising biotreatment technology for the oil-contaminated water.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Central nervous system (CNS) infection is one of the most serious complications after neurosurgery. This study aimed to analyze the effect of penicillin allergy (PA) and alternative prophylactic antibiotics on risk of postoperative CNS infection in patients undergoing neurosurgery. METHODS Data of patients who underwent neurosurgical procedures from January 2015 to December 2021 were analyzed retrospectively. Patients with PA were compared with patients without PA in a 1:1 ratio. A multivariate logistic regression model was used to examine whether PA was a risk factor for postoperative CNS infection. RESULTS Overall, 15,049 eligible neurosurgical records were reviewed, from which 578 surgical records of 556 patients with PA were matched to 578 records of 570 patients without PA. Patients with PA showed significantly lower probability to receive prophylactic cephalosporins (55.9% vs. 98.8%, P < 0.01), but significantly higher probability to receive clindamycin (41.86% vs. 1.03%, P < 0.01), than patients without PA. Multivariate analysis revealed that patients with PA were more likely to experience postoperative CNS infection than patients without PA (odds ratio = 2.03; 95% confidence interval, 1.15-3.56; P = 0.014). The incidence of postoperative CNS infection returned to a level comparable to that in general population when patients with suspected PA received prophylactic cephalosporins. CONCLUSIONS PA is associated with higher risk of postoperative CNS infection in patients undergoing neurosurgery. This may be attributed to the use of alternative prophylactic antibiotics other than cephalosporins, especially clindamycin.

Abstract
A series of [2,2]paracyclophane-based tridentate PNO ligands with planar chirality were designed and synthesized. The easily prepared chiral tridentate PNO ligands were successfully applied to the iridium-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of simple ketones, giving chiral alcohols with high efficiency and excellent enantioselectivities (up to 99% yield and >99% ee). Control experiments revealed the indispensability of both N-H and O-H in the ligands.

Abstract
Background Cephalosporins are used as first-line antimicrobial prophylaxis for orthopedics surgeries. However, alternative antibiotics are usually used in the presence of penicillin allergy (PA), which might increase the risk of surgical site infection (SSI). This study aimed to analyze the relationship between SSI after orthopedic surgeries and PA among surgical candidates and related alternative antibiotic use. Methods In this single-center retrospective cohort study, we compared inpatients with and without PA from January 2015 to December 2021. The primary outcome was SSI, and the secondary outcomes were SSI sites and perioperative antibiotic use. Moreover, pathogen characteristics of all SSIs were also compared between the two cohorts. Results Among the 20,022 inpatient records, 1704 (8.51%) were identified with PA, and a total of 111 (0.55%) SSI incidents were reported. Compared to patients without PA, patients with PA had higher postoperative SSI risk (1.06%, 18/1704 vs. 0.51%, 93/18318), shown both in multivariable regression analysis (odds ratio [OR] 2.11; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.26-3.50; p= 0.004) and propensity score matching (OR 1.84; 95% CI, 1.05-3.23; p= 0.034). PA was related to elevated deep SSI risk (OR 2.79; 95% CI, 1.47-5.30; p= 0.002) and had no significant impact on superficial SSI (OR 1.39; 95% CI, 0.59-3.29; p= 0.449). The PA group used significantly more alternative antibiotics. Complete mediation effect of alternative antibiotics on SSI among these patients was found in mediation analysis. Pathogen analysis revealed gram-positive cocci as the most common pathogen for SSI in our study cohort, while patients with PA had higher infection rate from gram-positive rods and gram-negative rods than non-PA group. Conclusion Compared to patients without PA, patients with PA developed more SSI after orthopedic surgeries, especially deep SSI. The elevated infection rate could be secondary to the use of alternative prophylactic antibiotics.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of daratumumab in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) patients. Methods: Fifty-two RRMM patients treated with daratumumab from September 2019 to November 2021 in West China Hospital were retrospectively enrolled, including 31 males and 21 females. The mean age of these patients at the first diagnosis of multiple myeloma was (58±10) years. According to the dosage of daratumumab, patients were divided into low dosage group (n=10) and high dosage group (n=42). Overall response rate (ORR), progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and adverse event rates were investigated. Univariate and multivariate analysis of potential factors were conducted. Results: Of the 52 patients, 8 received daratumumab monotherapy, 27 received daratumumab plus immuno-modulatory drug (IMiD) treatment, 4 received daratumumab plus proteosome inhibitor (PI) treatment, and 11 received daratumumab plus dexamethasone treatment. The diagnosis age of high dosage group patients was (57±9) years, which was significantly younger than that of low dosage group [(66±10) years] (P=0.009). The baseline creatinine level of high dosage group patients [M (Q1, Q3)] was 91 (68, 196) μmol/L, which was significantly higher than that of low dosage group [66 (51, 76) μmol/L] (P=0.021). There was no significant difference in other baseline clinical characteristics, previous treatment regimens, previous lines of treatment, and regimen and cycles of daratumumab between the high dosage group and low dosage group (all P>0.05). The ORR for the 52 patients was 71.2% (37/52). The ORR for daratumumab plus IMiD group was 81.5% (22/27), which was significantly higher than that in monotherapy or dexamethasone group [ORR: 52.6% (10/19), P=0.036). With a median follow-up [M (Q1, Q3)] of 7 (5, 26) months, the median PFS for overall cohort was 17 (95%CI: 9.6-24.4) months. The median PFS for daratumumab plus IMiD group was 26 (95%CI: 6.0-46.0) months, which was significantly better than that in monotherapy or dexamethasone group [12 (95%CI: 3.5-20.5) months] (HR=0.231, 95%CI: 0.075-0.715, P=0.011). Higher diagnosis age was the risk factor of progression (HR=1.085, 95%CI: 1.016-1.158, P=0.014), while more cycles of daratumumab treatment was the protective factor of progression (HR=0.669, 95%CI: 0.495-0.904, P=0.009). There was no significant influence of daratumumab dosage on progression (high dosage vs low dosage, HR=1.016, 95%CI: 0.221-4.668, P=0.984). The median OS for overall cohort was 26 (95%CI: 13.1-38.9) months. Higher serum calcium was the independent risk factor of death (HR=12.190, 95%CI: 1.170-127.048, P=0.037). There was no significant influence of daratumumab dosage on death (high dosage vs low dosage, HR=0.818, 95%CI: 0.171-3.917, P=0.802). Adverse events included infections (43.2%, 16/37), infusion-associated reactions (29.7%, 11/37), and thrombocytopenia (27.0%, 10/37). Conclusions: Daratumumab is effective to treat RRMM. The dosage of daratumumab has no significant influence on prognosis when used in combined treatment. The incidence of adverse events is relatively low, with a favorable safety profile.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore effect of short-segment pedicle screw internal fixation combined with hyperbaric oxygen in treating acute spinal fractures and its influence on recovery of spinal nerve function. METHODS A total of 96 patients with acute spinal fracture admitted from February 2017 to March 2020 were divided into combined group and control group, with 48 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with short-segment pedicle screw internal fixation. The combined group was given hyperbaric oxygen after surgery. The operation time, surgical blood loss, incision length and other general operation conditions between two groups were recorded. The differences in spinal morphology and function, Ameraican Spinal Injury Assiciation(ASIA) neurological function grade, serum inflammatory factors and ability of daily living activities were observed before and after surgery. RESULTS There was no significant difference in operation time, surgical blood loss, and incision length between combined group and control group(P>0.05). There were no significant differences in anterior height ratio and Cobb angle between two groups before surgery, 1 week and 6 months after surgery(P>0.05). The height ratio of anterior margin of the injured spine was significantly improved in both groups at 1 week and 6 months after surgery compared with preoperative period (P<0.05), and Cobb angle was significantly reduced in both groups compared with preoperative period (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in serum interleukin-6(IL-6), interleukin-8(IL-8), and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) levels between two groups at 1 d after surgery(P>0.05);the serum IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α levels of combined group were lower than those of control group at 1 week after surgery (P<0.05). At 6 months after surgery, ASIA neurological function grade of combined group was C grade in 2 cases, D grade in 23 cases, E grade in 22 cases. In control group, 7 cases was grade C, 26 cases was grade D, 13 cases was grade E, and the difference between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05). The Barthel score of combined group was higher than that of control group at 1 month and 3 months after surgery, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);at 6 months after surgery, there was no significant difference in Barthel score between two groups(P>0.05). CONCLUSION Short-segment pedicle screw internal fixation combined with hyperbaric oxygen for the treatment of acute spinal fractures is beneficial to the recovery of spinal nerve function after surgery, and has a certain effect on the early improvement of the patients' activities of daily living.

Abstract
Subjective To investigate clinical characteristics, treatment, and prognosis of lymphoma-associated hemophagocytic syndrome (LAHS) patients. Methods: The clinical data of patients diagnosed with LAHS from January 2010 to October 2021 in West China Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Clinical characteristics, treatment, overall response rate (ORR), and overall survival (OS) were investigated. Univariate and multivariate analysis of potential factors were conducted. Results: Of all 94 patients included, 59 were male and 35 were female. The age at hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) diagnosis was (40.5±17.3) years. Seventy-four cases were T/NK cell lymphoma; 15 were B cell lymphoma; 5 were Hodgkin lymphoma. The age at HLH diagnosis of T/NK cell LAHS patients was (37.9±16.2) years, while that of B cell LAHS patients was (55.9±14.0) years. T/NK cell LAHS patients were significantly younger than B cell LAHS patients (P<0.001). Baseline fibrinogen of T/NK cell LAHS patients was 1.34 (0.86, 2.44) g/L, while that of B cell LAHS patients was 2.20 (1.75, 4.25) g/L. T/NK cell LAHS patients showed significantly lower fibrinogen levels than B cell LAHS patients (P=0.008). Combined treatment of anti-HLH and anti-lymphoma treatment was conducted in 35 patients; anti-HLH treatment was conducted in 31 patients; anti-lymphoma treatment was conducted in 8 patients; glucocorticoid treatment was conducted in 7 patients. ORR was 49.4%, and the median OS was 61 days for overall patients. Patients who received anti-HLH treatment and turned to anti-lymphoma treatment early displayed the best ORR and OS, significantly higher than those of anti-HLH patients (69.0 vs 38.7%, P=0.019, and 192.0 vs 24.5 days, P=0.028, respectively), which were also insignificantly higher than those of anti-lymphoma patients. Extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma or aggressive natural killer cell leukemia was the risk factor of LAHS prognosis (HR=0.113, 95%CI: 0.018-0.728, P=0.022). Conclusions: Prognosis of LAHS patients is poor. Anti-lymphoma treatment should be initiated as soon as HLH is rapidly controlled.

Abstract
In this work, twenty-five water-soluble constituents were isolated from the bulbs of Lilium davidii var. unicolor, including two new compounds termed liliumtides A and B (1-2), and seventeen known compounds (3-4, 6-13, 15, 17, 21-25) isolated from the genus of Lilium for the first time. Their structures were established using high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectroscopy and 1D and 2D nuclear magnetic resonance data. To confirm furtherly the absolute configuration of liliumtide A, and to accumulate enough sample to study the anti-insomnia effect, a total synthesis for liliumtide A was achieved by four steps. The pentobarbital-induced sleeping time test showed that compared with the blank control group, the liliumtide A decreased sleep latency and significantly increased the sleep time. These results suggested that liliumtide A could be investigated as a natural anti-insomnia lead compound in the pharmaceutical and food industries.

Abstract
Context: Granulocytic sarcoma (GS) is an extramedullary form of proliferating myeloblasts. It is frequently reported in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) but rarely in patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Spinal cord compression caused by CML-associated GS is exceedingly rare, with only few cases reported in the literature. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case in which GS caused such extensive compression.Findings: A 37-year-old man with CML suffered from back pain for 2 months. Notably, he had already achieved molecular remission (MR) after receiving imatinib mesylate for CML; bone marrow aspiration results were consistent with CML in chronic phase. Image examination revealed that developed GS occupied nearly the entire thoracic spinal canal, thereby causing extensive spinal cord compression. The tumor completely diminished after his treatment regimen was upgraded. He showed no signs of recurrence after 1-year follow-up.Conclusion: Extramedullary infiltration of CML should be taken into consideration when a mass lesion develops and compresses the spinal cord in a CML patient who has been receiving routine and standard treatment modalities; thus, a sudden and unexpected progression mandates a refinement and upgrade of treatment modality.

Abstract
Malus micromalus Makino has great commercial and nutritional value. The regression and classification models were investigated by using near-infrared hyperspectral imaging (NIR-HSI) combined with chemometrics to improve the efficiency of non-destructive detection. The successive projections algorithm (SPA), interval random frog, and competitive adaptive reweighted sampling were employed to extract effective wavelengths sensitive to changes of soluble solid content (SSC) and firmness index (FI) information. Two types of assessment models based on full spectrum and effective wavelengths, namely partial least squares regression and extreme learning machine, were established to predict SSC and FI. In addition, the classification models based on the support vector machine improved by the grey wolf optimizer (GWO-SVM) and partial least squares discrimination analysis were constructed to differentiate maturity stage. The SPA-ELM and SPA-GWO-SVM models achieved satisfactory performance. The results illustrate that NIR-HSI is feasible for evaluation of the quality of Malus micromalus Makino.

Abstract
PURPOSE We aim to determine the role of free triiodothyronine (FT3), the main active ingredient of thyroid hormones (THs), in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). PATIENTS AND METHODS A total of 255 T2DM patients without diagnosed thyroid diseases were recruited and divided into MCI group and healthy cognition group. Neuropsychological functions were observed by multidimensional cognitive function scales in including MoCA, Digit Span Test (DST), Verbal Fluency Test (VFT), Clock drawing test (CDT), Trail Making Test (TMT) A and B, Instantaneously Recalled Auditory Verbal Learning Test (AVLT-IR), Delayed Recalled Auditory Verbal Learning Test (AVLT-DR) and Logical Memory Test (LMT). Correlation and logistic regression analyses were performed to explore the association between FT3 and diabetic cognitive dysfunction. RESULTS Compared with 147 normal cognition patients, 108 MCI patients exhibited lower FT3 and higher HOMA-IR. FT3 level was not only positively correlated with MoCA scores, but DST, VFT and LMT, while negatively associated with TMTB. Furthermore, there is a negative association between FT3 and HOMA-IR. Logistic regression showed that decreased FT3 is a risk factor of MCI in T2DM patients. Although FT3 is not the risk factor of MCI after homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) was entered as an independent variable, lower FT3 is associated with VFT and LMT adjusted by age, education, BMI, DM duration, HBP duration, smoking, HbA1c and HOMA-IR. CONCLUSION Lower FT3 levels may involve in MCI, especially for executive function and scene memory in T2DM patients without diagnosed thyroid diseases.

Abstract
There are numerous uncertainties associated with environmental health risk assessment (EHRA), and it is unavoidable to apply the best models and information available to save human lives. The EHRA is a method for determining the type and likelihood of adverse health effects on people who are exposed to chemicals in the workplace. To address the environmental health problems caused by harmful gas leakage and water pollution generated by the coastal regional chemical industry, a novel EHRA model for the coastal chemical industry has been developed. The premise of the Gauss plume diffusion model is used to define the model's parameters and the evaluation criterion for harmful gas concentration health risk. The EHRA model is evaluated against the leakage of harmful gases and consists of three steps. The first step is to identify the threat posed by the chemical industry in the coastal region; the second step is to quantify the risk; the third step is to develop a model for assessing water-related environmental health risk. The water-related environmental health assessor analyzes the pollutant variables and parameters of the assessment model to estimate the health risk caused by dangerous compounds in the water, using the assessment model of chemical carcinogen health risk and noncarcinogen health risk Type B. The experiments' findings suggest that the model can effectively assess the dangers to human health from hazardous gases and heavy metals in the water bodies of chemical factories in coastal communities.

Abstract
Real-time dynamic monitoring of orchard grape leaf diseases can greatly improve the efficiency of disease control and is of great significance to the healthy and stable development of the grape industry. Traditional manual disease-monitoring methods are inefficient, labor-intensive, and ineffective. Therefore, an efficient method is urgently needed for real-time dynamic monitoring of orchard grape diseases. The classical deep learning network can achieve high accuracy in recognizing grape leaf diseases; however, the large amount of model parameters requires huge computing resources, and it is difficult to deploy to actual application scenarios. To solve the above problems, a cross-channel interactive attention mechanism-based lightweight model (ECA-SNet) is proposed. First, based on 6,867 collected images of five common leaf diseases of measles, black rot, downy mildew, leaf blight, powdery mildew, and healthy leaves, image augmentation techniques are used to construct the training, validation, and test set. Then, with ShuffleNet-v2 as the backbone, an efficient channel attention strategy is introduced to strengthen the ability of the model for extracting fine-grained lesion features. Ultimately, the efficient lightweight model ECA-SNet is obtained by further simplifying the network layer structure. The model parameters amount of ECA-SNet 0.5× is only 24.6% of ShuffleNet-v2 1.0×, but the recognition accuracy is increased by 3.66 percentage points to 98.86%, and FLOPs are only 37.4 M, which means the performance is significantly better than other commonly used lightweight methods. Although the similarity of fine-grained features of different diseases image is relatively high, the average F1-score of the proposed lightweight model can still reach 0.988, which means the model has strong stability and anti-interference ability. The results show that the lightweight attention mechanism model proposed in this paper can efficiently use image fine-grained information to diagnose orchard grape leaf diseases at a low computing cost.

Abstract
The accurate identification of apple leaf diseases is of great significance for controlling the spread of diseases and ensuring the healthy and stable development of the apple industry. In order to improve detection accuracy and efficiency, a deep learning model, which is called the Coordination Attention EfficientNet (CA-ENet), is proposed to identify different apple diseases. First, a coordinate attention block is integrated into the EfficientNet-B4 network, which embedded the spatial location information of the feature by channel attention to ensure that the model can learn both the channel and spatial location information of important features. Then, a depth-wise separable convolution is applied to the convolution module to reduce the number of parameters, and the h-swish activation function is introduced to achieve the fast and easy to quantify the process. Afterward, 5,170 images are collected in the field environment at the apple planting base of the Northwest A&F University, while 3,000 images are acquired from the PlantVillage public data set. Also, image augmentation techniques are used to generate an Apple Leaf Disease Identification Data set (ALDID), which contains 81,700 images. The experimental results show that the accuracy of the CA-ENet is 98.92% on the ALDID, and the average F1-score reaches .988, which is better than those of common models such as the ResNet-152, DenseNet-264, and ResNeXt-101. The generated test dataset is used to test the anti-interference ability of the model. The results show that the proposed method can achieve competitive performance on the apple disease identification task.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) metabolic disorder is common in individuals with diabetes. The role of LDL-C in mild cognitive impairment (MCI) remains to be explored. We aim to investigate the associations between LDL-C at different levels and details of cognition decline in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). METHODS Patients with T2DM (n = 497) were recruited. Clinical parameters and neuropsychological tests were compared between patients with MCI and controls. Goodness of fit was assessed to determine the linear or U-shaped relationship between LDL-C and cognitive function. The cut-off point of LDL-C was calculated. Correlation and regression were carried out to explore the relationship between cognitive dysfunction and LDL-C levels above and below the cut-off point. RESULTS Although no significant difference in LDL-C levels was detected in 235 patients with MCI, compared with 262 patients without MCI, inverted-U-shaped association was determined between LDL-C and Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA). The cut-off point of LDL-C is 2.686 mmol/l. LDL-C (>2.686 mmol/l) is positively related to Trail Making Test B (TMTB) indicating executive function. LDL-C (<2.686 mmol/l) is positively associated with Clock Drawing Test (CDT) reflecting visual space function in patients with T2DM. CONCLUSION Inverted U-shaped correlation was found between serum LDL-C and cognitive function in patients with T2DM. Despite that the mechanisms of different LDL-C levels involved in special cognitive dysfunctions remain incompletely clarified, excessive LDL-C damages executive function, while the deficient LDL-C impairs visual space function. Abstract
Background UEV1A encodes a ubiquitin-E2 variant closely associated with tumorigenesis and metastasis, but its underlying mechanism in promoting metastasis remains to be investigated. Methods In this study, we experimentally manipulated UEV1A and CT45A gene expression and monitored their effects on cancer-related gene expression, cell migration and the signal transduction cascade. Results It was found that UEV1A overexpression induces CT45A family gene expression in breast cancer cells. Indeed, ectopic expression of UEV1A was sufficient to induce CT45A and its downstream genes involved in tumorigenesis, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), stemness and metastasis, and to promote cell migration and EMT signaling. Consistently, depletion of CT45A abolished the above effects, indicating that CT45A is a critical downstream effector of Uev1A. The Uev1A-induced cell migration and EMT signaling was dependent on AKT but independent of NF-κB, indicating that CT45A acts downstream of the AKT pathway. Conclusions Based on previous reports and observations in this study, we propose that the Ubc13-Uev1A complex activates AKT through K63-linked polyubiquitination, which leads to enhanced CT45A expression, stimulated cell migration and EMT signaling in breast cells. Since similar effects were also observed in a colorectal cancer cell line, the Ubc13/Uev1A-AKT-CT45A axis may also promote tumorigenesis and metastasis in other tissues. Abstract
Background It is imperative to preoperatively distinguish dural ossification (DO) and thus anticipate the risks and outcome of the surgery for patients with ossification of ligamentum flavum (OLF). However, studies have disagreed as to the efficacy of the radiographic signs or factors to predict DO and surgical outcome. In additon, the association between the cerebrospinal fluid cross-section area ratio (CCAR) and DO or clinical outcome had not been reported. The purpose of this study was to analyse CCAR and its role in prediction of DO and neurological function recovery rate in patients with OLF. Methods Fifty-two consecutive patients with OLF, who underwent posterior thoracic decompression and fusion between September 2012 and March 2019 at a single institution, were retrospectively reviewed. Demographic data, radiographic signs of DO, CCAR, pre- and postoperative modified Japanese Orthopedic Association (mJOA) score were recorded. Results There were 27 patients in the DO group and 25 patients in the non-DO group, with a mean age at surgery of 57.4 years and 53.9 years, respectively. No significant differences were found in sex, age, segment of maximum compression and preoperative mJOA score between the two groups. The receiver operating characteristic curve showed that the value of CCAR had a relatively high value for diagnosis of DO and prediction of neurological function recovery rate (P = .000). According to the value of CCAR, three zones were defined as DO zone (≤14.3%), non-DO zone (≥44.5%), and gray zone (14.3 to 44.5%). When the value of CCAR≤14.3%, the recovery rate was poor or fair, while it had good or excellent recovery when CCAR≥45.2%. Conclusion The value of CCAR had a high diagnostic value for prediction of DO and neurological function recovery rate in patients with OLF.

Abstract
Social distancing in public spaces plays a crucial role in controlling or slowing down the spread of coronavirus during the COVID-19 pandemic. Visual Social Distancing (VSD) offers an opportunity for real-time measuring and analysing the physical distance between pedestrians using surveillance videos in public spaces. It potentially provides new evidence for implementing effective prevention measures of the pandemic. The existing VSD methods developed in the literature are primarily based on frame-by-frame pedestrian detection, addressing the VSD problem from a static and local perspective. In this paper, we propose a new online multi-pedestrian tracking approach for spatio-temporal trajectory and its application to multi-scale social distancing measuring and analysis. Firstly, an online multi-pedestrian tracking method is proposed to obtain the trajectories of pedestrians in public spaces, based on hierarchical data association. Then, a new VSD method based on spatio-temporal trajectories is proposed. The proposed method not only considers the Euclidean distance between tracking objects frame-by-frame but also takes into account the discrete Fréchet distance between trajectories, hence forms a comprehensive solution from both static and dynamic, local and holistic perspectives. We evaluated the performance of the proposed tracking method using the public dataset MOT16 benchmark. We also collected our own pedestrian dataset "SCU-VSD" and designed a multi-scale VSD analysis scheme for benchmarking the performance of the social distancing monitoring in the crowd. Experiments have demonstrated that the proposed method achieved outstanding performance on the analysis of social distancing.

Abstract
Nowadays, with the development of science and technology, the progress of society, and the fierce competition among enterprises in the market, the current market competition has gradually turned into the competition of talents, and the excellent talent reserve of enterprises is a competitive advantage. However, there are many enterprises and many places where human resource management is not in place. At the same time, many imperceptible problems in human resource management, most of which are hidden and uncertain, lead to business problems and related phenomena and threaten the further development of enterprises. Although there are many research methods for these problems, it is difficult to analyze the current situation with this method because of its strong subjectivity. In order to better solve the above problems, this paper studies the standard system of human resource management under the background of the fuzzy system and uses the new structure of human resource fuzzy theory decision-making which has strong theoretical and practical value in human resource system. In the research of this paper, human resource management indicators are divided into comprehensive and professional. Aiming at these two categories of indicators, this paper uses human resource management theory to analyze them systematically and designs a more reasonable indicator system. Then, taking an enterprise as an example, it uses a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to combine qualitative and quantitative research to analyze the enterprise. In the analysis, this paper finds that there are some problems in human resource management, such as performance management is not in place, employees’ sense of belonging is not strong, and through the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of the enterprise situation, it is found that the enterprise human resource management system is good, but still needs to further improve the enterprise management system.

Abstract
Probiotics have been reported to be associated with the alleviation of constipation. The aim of this study was to detect and determine the effect of Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis MN-Gup (MN-Gup) on the alleviation of constipation in BALB/c mice and humans, and to elucidate the mechanisms underlying its effect by measuring changes in the concentration of short-chain fatty acids and the composition of microbes in human faeces. BALB/c mice were given MN-Gup by gavage for 14 days. On the 8th day of this treatment, constipation was induced by the application of diphenoxylate via gavage. The results showed that MN-Gup significantly decreased the first black stool defecation time, and significantly increased black faecal wet weight, black faecal number and the gastric-intestinal transit rate (P<0.05), thereby relieving constipation. In humans, a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was performed to investigate the effect of MN-Gup in adults with functional constipation. After 4 weeks of intervention with placebo or MN-Gup yogurt, constipation-related symptoms (including defecation frequency, stool consistency, straining and incomplete feeling during defecation) in the constipated subjects were significantly improved in the two groups, but not different between the groups at the end of the intervention. The concentration of acetate increased significantly in the MN-Gup group compared to the placebo group and before ingestion. Significant changes in the composition of gut microbiota were found after intake of MN-Gup yogurt when compared to placebo. The relative abundances of acetate-producing Bifidobacterium, Ruminoccaceae_UCG-002 and Ruminoccaceae_UCG-005 were significantly increased after intake of MN-Gup yogurt. These results showed that MN-Gup could relieve constipation related to increased acetate-producing Bifidobacterium, Ruminoccaceae_UCG-002 and Ruminoccaceae_UCG-005.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This study intends to discuss the clinical features, therapeutic strategies, and patients' prognostic features and to share our expertise in handling this entity. Current research is one of Asia's extensive MSCCA clinical studies until now. METHODS Four MSCCA patients who were operated in our hospital's bone tumor center from January 2010 to January 2020 were chosen. Our team reviewed a retrospective study of the medical history and records of surgery, imaging data, and pathology reports (both primary and metastatic spinal tumors) of all MSCCA patients. We applied two surgical therapies in this study, including open surgery and percutaneous vertebroplasty. A predetermined analysis of patients' original clinical data was performed, and regular followup was performed after the operation. RESULTS Of the four patients, one was male and three were female. The age ranged from 60 to 70 years. The time duration between the diagnosis of cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) and the diagnosis of spinal metastases ranged from 0 to 11 months. Spinal metastatic disease was mainly located in the thoracic spine (n=4; 100%), followed by the cervical spine (n=1; 25.0%). Postoperatively, in the four patients, the symptoms improved and the VAS score was decreased. During the follow-up visit, the progression of the local spinal tumors at the site of primary spinal surgery was detected in three patients (75.0%). Three patients died from the disease during the follow-up period, and one patient is still alive. The time ranged from 6 to 13 months for spinal surgery to the patient's death. CONCLUSIONS Taken together, the prognosis of patients with MSCCA is poor. Surgical treatment can dramatically improve patients' quality of life and helps to extend a patient's survival. In terms of surgical treatment, appropriate surgical treatment should be selected according to the general condition of the patient and the relevant characteristics of spinal metastases.

Abstract
The effects of Rhodopseudomonas capsulata (R. capsulata) in the treated effluent of soybean processing wastewater (SPW) on the remediation of imidacloprid in soil, soil fertility, and the microbial community structure in soil were studied. Compared with the control group, with the addition of effluent containing R. capsulata, imidacloprid was effectively removed, soil fertility was enhanced, and the microbial community structure was improved. Molecular analysis indicated that imidacloprid could exert induction effects on expression of cpm gene and regulation effects on the synthesis of cytochrome P450 monooxygenases (P450) by activating HKs gene in two-component system (TCS). For R. capsulata, this induction process required 1 day. The synthesis of P450 occurred 1 day after inoculation, because R. capsulata are a type of archaea and imidacloprid is an environmental stress. Before expression of the cpm gene and synthesis of P450, R. capsulata need a period of time to adapt to external imidacloprid stimulation. However, the lack of organic matter in the soil cannot sustain R. capsulata growth for more than 1 day. In four groups with added effluent, the remaining organic matter in the effluent provided a sufficient carbon source and energy for R. capsulata. Five days later, the microbial community structure was improved by R. capsulata in the soil. The new technique could be used to remediate imidacloprid, enhance soil fertility, treat SPW and realize the recycling and reuse of wastewater and R. capsulata cells.

Abstract
Objective Metastatic spinal differentiated thyroid carcinoma (MSDTC) is relatively rare in the clinic and often overlooked. The objective of the current study is to analyze the clinical characteristics and prognosis of patients with MSDTC who underwent surgical treatment to determine the prognostic factors that affect survival. Methods This study retrospectively analyzed the clinical data and postoperative follow-up results of MSDTC patients who underwent spinal surgery at the Orthopedic Department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 2010 to January 2020. Clinical data and survival time were analyzed by Kaplan–Meier analysis. Results Eleven patients were included, and the average age was 58.3 years (range 37‒74). The average time from the initial surgery to the discovery of spinal metastasis was 42.9 months (range 0‒132), and the average follow-up time was 21.8 months (range 3‒80). Progression was identified in seven patients, and 10 patients (90.9%) died during the follow-up period. Kaplan–Meier analysis showed that extraosseous visceral metastasis (p=0.012), revised Tokuhashi score (p=0.035), Tomita score (p=0.038), and surgical method (p=0.028) were associated with overall survival (OS). In addition, skeletal visceral metastasis (p=0.017), revised Tokuhashi score (p=0.028), Tomita score (p=0.038), and surgical method (p=0.049) were associated with progression-free survival (PFS). Conclusion Surgical treatment is an effective method for treating MSDTC and leads to pain relief, restored function and increased spinal stability. Based on our single-center experience, extraosseous visceral metastasis, revised Tokuhashi score, Tomita score, and surgical methods may be potential prognostic factors for OS whilst visceral metastasis, revised Tokuhashi score, Tomita score, and surgical methods may be potential prognostic factors for PFS.
