Unveiling the temperature-dependent thermoelectric properties of the undoped and Na-doped monolayer SnSe allotropes: a comparative study. NANOTECHNOLOGY 2024; 35:195705. Abstract
Motivated by the excellent thermoelectric (TE) performance of bulk SnSe, extensive attention has been drawn to the TE properties of the monolayer SnSe. To uncover the fundamental mechanism of manipulating the TE performance of the SnSe monolayer, we perform a systematic study on the TE properties of five monolayer SnSe allotropes such asα-,β-,γ-,δ-, andε-SnSe based on the density functional theory and the non-equilibrium Green's functions. By comparing the TE properties of the Na-doped SnSe allotropes with the undoped ones, the influences of the Na doping and the temperature on the TE properties are deeply investigated. It is shown that the figure of meritZTwill increase as the temperature increases, which is the same for almost all the Na-doped and undoped cases. The Na doping can enhance or suppress theZTin different SnSe allotropes at different temperatures, implying the presence of the anomalous suppression of theZT. The Na doping inducedZTsuppression may be caused basically by the sharp decrease of the power factor and the weak decrease of the electronic thermal conductance, rather than by the decrease of the phononic thermal conductance. We hope this work will be able to enrich the understanding of the manipulation of TE properties by means of dimensions, structurization, doping, and temperature.

[Evaluation of the efficacy and safety of intravenous infusion of ferric derisomaltose in the treatment of iron deficiency anemia: a single-center retrospective analysis]. Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of ferric derisomaltose injection versus iron sucrose injection in the treatment of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) . Methods: A total of 120 patients with iron deficiency anemia admitted from June 2021 to March 2023 were given intravenous iron supplementation with ferric derisomaltose to assess the efficacy and safety of hemoglobin (HGB) elevation before and after treatment. Simultaneously, the clinical effects of iron supplementation with iron sucrose were compared to those of inpatient patients during the same period. Results: Baseline values were comparable in both groups. Within 12 weeks of treatment, the elevated HGB level in the ferric derisomaltose group was higher than that of the iron sucrose group, with a statistical difference at all time points, and the proportion of HGB increased over 20 g/L in the patients treated for 4 weeks was higher (98.7%, 75.9% ). During the treatment with ferric derisomaltose and iron sucrose, the proportion of mild adverse reactions in the ferric derisomaltose group was slightly lower than that of the iron sucrose group, and neither group experienced any serious adverse reactions. The patients responded well to the infusion treatment, with no reports of pain or pigmentation at the injection site. Conclusion: The treatment of IDA patients with ferric derisomaltose has a satisfactory curative effect, with the advantages of rapidity, accuracy, and safety. Therefore, it is worthy of widespread clinical use.

Abstract
Objective: To assess the effectiveness of a 6-month Ba Duan Jin exercise program in improving the balance of community-dwelling older adults. Methods: A two arms, parallel-group, cluster randomized controlled trial was conducted in 1 028 community residents aged 60-80 years in 40 communities in 5 provinces of China. Participants in the intervention group (20 communities, 523 people) received Ba Duan Jin exercise 5 days/week, 1 hour/day for 6 months, and three times of falls prevention health education, and the control group (20 communities, 505 people) received falls prevention health education same as the intervention group. The Berg balance scale (BBS) score was the leading outcome indicator, and the secondary outcome indicators included the length of time of standing on one foot (with eyes open and closed), standing in a tandem stance (with eyes open and closed), the closed circle test, and the timed up to test. Results: A total of 1 028 participants were included in the final analysis, including 731 women (71.11%) and 297 men (28.89%), and the age was (69.87±5.67) years. After the 3-month intervention, compared with the baseline data, the BBS score of the intervention group was significantly higher than the control group by 3.05 (95%CI: 2.23-3.88) points (P<0.001). After the 6-month intervention, compared with the baseline data, the BBS score of the intervention group was significantly higher than the control group by 4.70 (95%CI: 4.03-5.37) points (P<0.001). Ba Duan Jin showed significant improvement (P<0.05) in all secondary outcomes after 6 months of exercise in the intervention group compared with the control group. Conclusions: This study showed that Ba Duan Jin exercise can improve balance in community-dwelling older adults aged 60-80. The longer the exercise time, the better the improvement.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of 0.05% cyclosporine A and 0.1% tacrolimus eye drops in treating severe dry eye associated with chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD). Methods: This non-randomized concurrent control trial enrolled 83 eyes from 83 patients with cGVHD-associated severe dry eye. The treatment had two phases. During the initial shock treatment period (0-3 months), 44 patients received 0.05% cyclosporine A eye drops (4 times/day; group A) and 39 patients received 0.1% tacrolimus eye drops (twice/day; group B) alongside basic treatment. In the maintenance treatment period (3-6 months), both groups used 0.05% cyclosporine A eye drops (twice/day) and sodium hyaluronate. Examinations were conducted at 1, 3, and 6 months after treatment initiation, assessing the Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI), corneal fluorescein staining (CFS) score, and fluorescein tear break-up time (BUT) for efficacy. visual acuity and intraocular pressure (IOP) were evaluated for safety, and patients' post-medication irritation symptoms were recorded. Results: The study included 52 males and 31 females, aged (28.57±15.67) years. After 1 month of treatment, the CFS score in group A significantly decreased from 10.0 (6.0, 14.0) to 5.0 (3.0, 8.5) (P<0.001). in group B, the CFS score also significantly decreased from 10.0 (6.0, 15.0) to 6.0 (2.0, 10.0), and the BUT increased from 2.0 (1.0, 2.0) s to 2.0 (1.8, 3.3) s (P<0.001). No significant OSDI decrease was observed in either group. No significant differences were found in OSDI, CFS score, and BUT between the two groups. After 3 months, group A showed significant improvement in OSDI, CFS score, and BUT (P<0.05), while group B only demonstrated significant CFS score decrease (P<0.05). OSDI was significantly lower in group A than group B (P<0.05). No significant differences were noted in CFS score and BUT between groups. After 6 months, OSDI, CFS score, and BUT were 18.9 (9.3, 34.2), 7.0 (3.0, 8.5), and 2.0 (1.0, 3.0) s in group A, and 10.9 (3.6, 35.4), 5.5 (2.8, 10.0), and 2.0 (1.0, 10.0) s in group B. In both groups, CFS scores significantly decreased and BUT increased (P<0.05). Visual acuity improved significantly in group A at 1, 3, and 6 months (P<0.05), while no significant changes were seen in group B. Irritation symptoms were transient and self-resolving in both groups. Conclusions: Both 0.05% cyclosporine A and 0.1% tacrolimus eye drops, when combined with local glucocorticoids, exhibited significant anti-inflammatory effects, effectively and safely treating severe dry eye in cGVHD patients. Although the onset of 0.05% cyclosporine A was slower than 0.1% tacrolimus, it offered more stable long-term effects and better symptom improvement.

Abstract
Public health interventions refer to a series of organized and specific measures implemented in specific situations to achieve goals related to improving health, preventing and controlling diseases, and more. As research on intervention measures has deepened, the classification of public health interventions has gradually developed, clarifying the nature, categories and intervention targets of these measures. This typological study can help standardize the concepts of public health interventions, develop, select, and evaluate the effectiveness of intervention measures, and improve the effectiveness of public health actions. This paper reviews the main international classification models of intervention measures, analyzes and summarizes five classification methods of public health interventions, namely, based on goals, nature, objects, hierarchies, and modes of action, and introduces relevant cases. The paper proposes that China should conduct further in-depth and systematic research on public health interventions, develop evidence-based intervention measures and practices, promote the effective transformation of intervention measures and results, and facilitate the development of public health.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the 1-year postoperative efficacy of four bariatric procedures, namely sleeve gastrectomy (SG), Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB), single anastomosis duodenal-ileal bypass with sleeve gastrectomy (SADI-S), and biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch (BPD/DS) for treating super obesity. Methods: In this retrospective observational study, we analyzed the clinical data of 40 patients with super obesity (body mass index [BMI]≥50 kg/m2) who had undergone bariatric surgery in the China-Japan Union Hospital of Jilin University from November 2015 to December 2020. The study cohort consisted of 21 men and 19 women of average age 31.7±9.0 years. The preoperative weight and BMI were (159.2±16.9) kg and (53.4±3.0) kg/m2, respectively. Prior to the surgery, 30 individuals had hypertension, 27 hyperuricemia, 15 type 2 diabetes, 10 abnormally high total cholesterol, 20 abnormally high triglycerides, and 24 abnormally high low-density lipoprotein. We divided the participants into four groups according to the type of operation: SG group (n=16), RYGB group (n=9), SADI-S group (n=9) and BPD/DS group (n=6). We examined the following factors: weight, BMI, excess weight loss (%), total weight loss (%), and remission of preoperative metabolic diseases (including hypertension, hyperuricemia, type 2 diabetes, and hyperlipidemia) 3, 6, and 12 months after surgery. The variables assessed for hypertension were systolic and diastolic blood pressure; for type 2 diabetes, glycated hemoglobin; and for hyperlipidemia, total cholesterol, triglycerides, and low-density lipoprotein 1-year after the surgery. The safety of surgery was also assessed. Results: All patients successfully completed laparoscopic procedures, none of them requiring conversion to laparotomy. The amount of blood loss during surgery was less than 50 mL. Postoperative hospital stay was 6-16 days. There were no deaths during the perioperative period. However, two postoperative complications occurred in the RYGB group, namely bleeding and anastomotic leakage. No complications were detected in the other groups. At 3, 6, and 12 months after surgery, percentage of excess weight loss was 36.6±11.0, 62.4±15.7, and 68.2±16.0 (F=21.830, P<0.001) in the SG group; 30.6±6.9, 42.5±5.8, and 50.6±11.1 (F=13.222, P<0.001) in the RYGB group; 39.7±7.8, 54.6±12.7, and 81.9±12.0 (F=33.821, P<0.001) in the SADI-S group; and 40.2±4.8, 57.7±11.8, and 82.8±14.9 (F=21.552, P<0.001), respectively, in the BPD/DS group. The percentage of excess weight loss increased significantly over the 12-month observation period in all groups . Compared with before surgery, hypertension and hyperuricemia in the SG, SADI-S, and BPD-DS groups showed significant improvement after one year (all P<0.05). However, only the SADI-S group exhibited a significant decrease in glycosylated hemoglobin concentrations (P=0.038). Only the BPD-DS group showed significant decreases in various indicators of hyperlipidemia (all P<0.05). The improvements in obesity-related complication indexes did not reach statistical significance in the RYGB group (all P>0.05). Conclusion: SG, RYGB, SADI-S and BPD/DS are all safe and effective treatments for super obesity. All of these procedures can improve the associated metabolic diseases to a certain extent.

Abstract
Based on first-principles density functional theory and nonequilibrium Green's function, we study the electronic band structures, the electronic transport properties, and the optical absorption of bilayer blue phosphorene nanoribbons (BPNRs). Both bilayer armchair BPNRs (a-BPNRs) and zigzag BPNRs (z-BPNRs) behave as semiconductors in the narrow nanoribbon case and metals in the wide nanoribbon case, sharply different from their monolayer counterparts where the monolayer a-BPNRs (z-BPNRs) are always semiconducting (metallic). This indicates that interlayer couplings or the increasing layer number may induce the switching of the conductivity of the monolayer BPNRs, which is absent in graphene and phosphorene nanoribbons. Furthermore, we explore the edge states of the energy bands near Fermi energy, and find that there are almost no pure edge-state band branches in the bilayer BPNRs, which can be attributed to the interlayer couplings between the edge-states in one layer and the bulk-states in the other. Consequently, the resulting complex band structures cannot be directly analyzed any more in the framework of the two-body coupling picture just according to the simple band structures of the monolayer BPNRs. Finally, we present the current-voltage characteristics and the optical absorption of the bilayer a-BPNRs and z-BPNRs. The influences of the nanoribbon width and the interlayer couplings on the current and the anisotropic optical absorption can be understood based on the complex energy band structures. This research should be an important reference of extending the field of BPNRs from the monolayer to the bilayer case, and deepen the understanding of the difference between the monolayer and bilayer nanoribbons in different materials.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the role of Keap1/Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway in liver injury induced by neodymium oxide (Nd(2)O(3)) in mice. Methods: In March 2021, forty-eight SPF grade healthy male C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into control group (0.9% NaCl), low dose group (62.5 mg/ml Nd(2)O(3)), medium dose group (125.0 mg/ml Nd(2)O(3)), and high dose group (250.0 mg/ml Nd(2)O(3)), each group consisted of 12 animals. The infected groups were treated with Nd(2)O(3) suspension by non-exposed tracheal drip and were killed 35 days after dust exposure. The liver weight of each group was weighed and the organ coefficient was calculated. The content of Nd(3+) in liver tissue was detected by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). HE staining and immunofluorescence was used to observe the changes of inflammation and nuclear entry. The mRNA expression levels of Keap1, Nrf2 and HO-1 in mice liver tissue were detected by qRT-PCR. Western blotting was used to detect the protein expression levels of Keap1 and HO-1. The contents of catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and total superoxide dismutase (T-SOD) were detected by colorimetric method. The contents of interleukin 1β (IL-1β), interleukin 6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) were determined by ELISA. The data was expressed in Mean±SD. Two-independent sample t-test was used for inter-group comparison, and one-way analysis of variance was used for multi-group comparison. Results: Compared with the control group, the liver organ coefficient of mice in medium and high dose groups were increased, and the Nd(3+) accumulation in liver of mice in all dose groups were significantly increased (P<0.05). Pathology showed that the structure of liver lobules in the high dose group was slightly disordered, the liver cells showed balloon-like lesions, the arrangement of liver cell cords was disordered, and the inflammatory exudation was obvious. Compared with the control group, the levels of IL-1β and IL-6 in liver tissue of mice in all dose groups were increased, and the levels of TNF-α in liver tissue of mice in high dose group were increased (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the mRNA and protein expression levels of Keap1 in high dose group were significantly decreased, while the mRNA expression level of Nrf2, the mRNA and protein expression levels of HO-1 were significantly increased (P<0.05), and Nrf2 was successfully activated into the nucleus. Compared with the control group, the activities of CAT, GSH-Px and T-SOD in high dose group were significantly decreased (P<0.05) . Conclusion: A large amount of Nd(2)O(3) accumulates in the liver of male mice, which may lead to oxidative stress and inflammatory response through activation of Keap1/Nrf2/HO-1 signal pathway. It is suggested that Keap1/Nrf2/HO-1 signal pathway may be one of the mechanisms of Nd(2)O(3) expose-induced liver injury in mice.

[Study on the correlation between ceramic and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in Foshan City]. Abstract
Objective: To study the correlation between ceramic and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and explore its related risk factors. Methods: In January 2021, five representative ceramic enterprises were selected from Chancheng District, Nanhai District, Gaoming District and Sanshui District of Foshan City. The ceramic workers who came to Chancheng Hospital of Foshan First People's Hospital for physical examination from January to October 2021 were selected as the research objects, and 525 people were included. Conduct questionnaire survey and pulmonary function test. Logistic regresion was performed to analyze the influencing facters of COPD among ceramic workers. Results: The subjects were (38.51±1.25) years old, 328 males and 197 females, and the detection rate of COPD was 9.52% (50/525). The incidence of respiratory symptoms such as dyspnea, chronic cough, wheezing and chest tightness, the detection rates of abnormal lung age, abnormal lung function and COPD in males were higher than those in females (P<0.05). The logistic regression analysis showed that male, age, working years, smoking status and family history of COPD were the risk factors for COPD among ceramic workers (P<0.05) . Conclusion: The ceramic workers are the high risk population of COPD. We should do a good job in health education, and do a regular physical examination to find the changes of lung function in time, and prevent the occurrence of COPD as soon as possible.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the effects of Nd(2)O(3) exposure to rare earth particles on the secretion of sex hormones, cytochrome P450 family member 11A1 (CYP11A1) , spermatogenesis markers promyelocytic leukemia zinc finger protein (PLZF) and retinoic acid stimulating gene 8 (STRA8) protein in C57 BL/6J male mice. Methods: In March 2021, Forty-eight male C57 BL/6J mice aged 6-8 weeks divided into control group and Nd(2)O(3) exposure low, medium and high dose groups (exposing doses of 62.5, 125.0, 250.0 mg/ml Nd(2)O(3)) , 12 per group. The mice in the Nd(2)O(3) groups were perfused with different doses of Nd(2)O(3) suspension by a one-time non-exposing tracheal instillation method, and the control group was perfused with an equal volume of normal saline, with a volume of 0.1 ml, to establish a mouse reproductive function injury model. After 28 days of exposure, the mice's body weight, testes and epididymis were weighed, and the organ coefficients were calculated; the two epididymis were taken to make a sperm suspension to determine the sperm count, survival rate, and deformity rate; inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) method was used to detect the content of Nd in mouse testis tissue; HE staining was used to detect testicular tissue pathological changes and quantitative analysis; enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method was used to detect serum luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and testosterone (T) content; western blot was used to detect the protein levels of CYP11A1, PLZF and STRA8 in testicular tissues. Results: Compared with the control group, with the increase of the exposure dose, the Nd content in the testis of the mice showed an increasing trend, the sperm survival rate and LH showed a decreasing trend, and the sperm deformity rate showed an increasing trend (P<0.05) ; Pathological showed that the number of sperm in the seminiferous tubules of the testicular tissue in the Nd(2)O(3) medium and high dose groups was significantly reduced, and the germinal epithelial disintegration, intraepithelial vacuolization, and exfoliation of spermatogenic cells and supporting cells occurred; The height of germinal epithelium was significantly reduced, and the percentage of damaged seminiferous tubules showed an increasing trend (P<0.05) ; FSH and T levels in serum in the middle and high dose groups of Nd(2)O(3), and CYP11A1, PLZF and STRA8 proteins in testicular tissues showed a downward trend with increasing dose (P<0.05) . Conclusion: The rare earth particulate Nd(2)O(3) may interfere with the expression of CYP11A1, PLZF and STRA8 protein, thereby causing the disorder of sex hormone secretion in the body, the maintenance of spermatogonia and the obstruction of the process of meiosis, causing reproductive function damage.

Abstract
Interaction exists in lung cancer and microbiota. Lung microecological homeostasis can improve the immune tolerance, enhance immune suppression, and inhibit inflammatory responses, to reduce the lung cancer; while lung cancer can lead to pulmonary microecological imbalance, change the lung environment, and promote tumor cell proliferation. Therefore, modulating microbial flora and microecological immunotherapy may be a potential and preventive treatment for lung cancer, to restore tumor immunosuppression and improve patient survival. However, the individual differences in the lung microecology, because of different genetics, ethnic characteristics, and dietary habits, increasing the difficulty of precise diagnosis and treatment, which is also the current bottleneck in the application of microecological immunotherapy. Otherwise, the effectiveness of regulatory measures such as probiotics, prebiotics or antimicrobials is questionable. The research on microbial flora is still in its infancy, and further exploration is needed to form a standardized, effective, and precise treatment plan. So, standardized, effective, and precise microbial flora treatment strategies need to be further explored.

Abstract
As a convenient and effective surface modification approach, non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma (NTAPP)can be used to improve dentin bonding, and has recently become a research focus. Studies have shown that NTAPP can alter dentin surface properties, improve the penetration and polymerization of adhesives, stimulate the cross-linking of collagen, and change the micro-morphology and element content of dentin surface, thus improve the dentin bonding quality. This article introduces the current research progress in the application of NTAPP in the field of dentin bonding, in order to provide innovative information for future research in optimization of the quality of dentin bonding.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the safety and learning curve of Da Vinci robotic single-anastomosis duodenal-ileal bypass with sleeve gastrectomy (SADI-S) in the treatment of obesity patients. Methods: A descriptive case series study was performed. Clinical data of obesity patients who were treated with Da Vinci robotic SADI-S in China-Japan Union Hospital of Jilin University from March 2020 to May 2021 were analyzed retrospectively. Case inclusion criteria: (1) uncomplicated obese patients with body mass index (BMI)≥37.5 kg/m(2); (2) patients with BMI of 28 to <37.5 kg/m(2) complicated with type 2 diabetes or two metabolic syndrome components, or obesity comorbidities; (3) patients undergoing SADI-S by Da Vinci robotic surgery system. Those who received other bariatric procedures other than SADI-S or underwent Da Vince robotic SADI-S as revisional operation were excluded. A total of 77 patients were enrolled in the study, including 31 males and 46 females, with median age of 33 (18-59) years, preoperative body weight of (123.0±26.2) kg, BMI of (42.2±7.1) kg/m(2) and waistline of (127.6±16.3) cm. According to the order of operation date, the patients were numbered as 1-77. The textbook outcome (TO) and Clavien-Dindo grading standard were used to analyze the clinical outcome of each patient and to classify surgical complications, respectively. The standard of textbook outcome was as follows: the operative time less than or equal to the 75th percentile of the patient's operation time (210 min); the postoperative hospital stay less than or equal to the 75th percentile of the patient's postoperative hospital stay (7 d); complication grade lower than Clavien grade II; no readmission; no conversion to laparotomy or death. The patient undergoing robotic SADI-S was considered to meet the TO standard when meeting the above 5 criteria. The TO rate was calculated by cumulative sum analysis (CUSUM) method. The curve was drawn by case number as X-axis and CUSUM (TO rate) as Y-axis so as to understand the learning curve of robotic SADI-S. Results: The operative time of 77 robotic SADI-S was (182.9±37.5) minutes, and the length of postoperative hospital stay was 6 (4-55) days. There was no conversion to laparotomy or death. Seven patients suffered from complications (7/77, 9.1%). Four patients had grade II complications (5.2%), including one with duodeno-ileal anastomotic leakage, one with abdominal bleeding, one with peritoneal effusion and one with delayed gastric emptying; two patients were grade IIIb complications (2.6%) and both of them were diagnosed with gastric leakage; one patient was grade IV complication diagnosed with postoperative respiratory failure (1.3%), and all of them were cured successfully. A total of 51 patients met the textbook outcome standard, and the TO rate was positive and was steadily increasing after the number of surgical cases accumulated to the 46th case. Taking the 46th case as the boundary, all the patients were divided into learning stage group (n=46) and mastery stage group (n=31). There were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of gender, age, weight, body mass index, waist circumference, ASA classification, standard liver volume, operative time and morbidity of postoperative complication (all P>0.05). The percent of abdominal drainage tube in learning stage group was higher than that in mastery stage group (54.3% versus 16.1%, P<0.05). The length of postoperative hospital stay in learning stage group was longer than that in mastery stage group [6 (4-22) d versus 6 (5-55) d, P<0.05)]. Conclusion: The Da Vinci robotic SADI-S is safe and feasible with a learning curve of 46 cases.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the relationship between the mechanical circulatory support (MCS) combined with immunomodulation and the prognosis of patients with fulminant myocarditis. Methods: This is a retrospective study. A total of 88 patients with fulminant myocarditis admitted to Dongguan Kanghua hospital from Aug. 2008 to Dec. 2020 were included. Medical histories, results of laboratory tests, treatment regimens and clinical outcomes of these patients during their hospitalization were collected from the medical record system. According to the treatment methods, the patients were divided into MCS+immunomodulation group (38 cases), MCS group (20 cases) and traditional treatment group (30 cases). Patients in the MCS+immunomodulation group received intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) or IABP combined with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and immunoglobulin or glucocorticoid. Patients in the MCS group only received mechanical circulatory support. Patients in the traditional treatment group received neither mechanical circulatory support nor immunomodulatory therapy, and only used vasoactive drugs and cardiotonic drugs. The in-hospital mortality and length of stay were compared among the three groups. Results: A total of 88 patients with fulminant myocarditis aged (35.0±10.8) years were included, and there were 46 males (52.3%). The mortality of MCS+immunomodulation group (7.9% (3/38) vs. 56.7% (17/30), P=0.001 2) and MCS group (30.0% (6/20) vs. 56.7% (17/30), P=0.002 8) were lower than that of traditional treatment group. Compared with the MCS group, the in-hospital mortality in the MCS+immunomodulation group was lower (P=0.005 4). The most common cause of death was multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS). The constituent ratios of death in MCS+immunomodulation group, MCS group and traditional treatment group were 3/3, 4/6 and 12/17, respectively. The incidence of MODS in the MCS group (20% (4/20)) and the traditional treatment group (40% (12/30)) was significantly higher than that in the MCS+immunomodulation group (7.9% (3/38)) (both P<0.01). In discharged patients, the hospitalization time of MCS+immunomodulation group was shorter than that of traditional treatment group ((13.4±5.5)d vs. (18.5±7.4)d, P<0.05) and MCS group ((13.4±5.5)d vs. (16.9±8.5)d, P<0.05). Conclusion: MCS combined with immunomodulatory therapy is associated with lower in-hospital mortality and shorter hospital stay in patients with fulminant myocarditis.

Abstract
Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of laparoscopic single-anastomosis duodenal-ileal bypass with sleeve gastrectomy (SADI-S) and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (SG) in the treatment of obesity and obesity-related metabolic diseases. Methods: A retrospective cohort study method was used to analyze the clinical data of 22 patients with obesity who underwent laparoscopic SADI-S in the China-Japan Union Hospital of Jilin university from May 2018 to December 2019 (SADI-S group). Meanwhile, 22 patients with obesity undergoing laparoscopic SG at the same period were selected in this study whose preoperative demographics, including sex, age, body weight, body mass index, metabolic diseases and blood index, were comparable to those of SADI-S group. All the patients were followed up at 3 months, 6 months and 12 months after operation to compare the weight loss [body weight, body mass index, percent of excess weight loss (%EWL) and percent of total weight loss (%TWL), etc.], remission of obesity-related metabolic diseases (hypertension, hyperuricemia, and type 2 diabetes mellitus, etc.) and nutritional deficiency (albumin, retinal-binding-protein, vitamin B12, vitamin D and iron protein, etc.) between the two groups. Results: All the patients successfully underwent laparoscopic bariatric surgery without conversion to laparotomy or death. Compared with SG group, SADI-S group had longer operative time [(204.8±38.3) minutes vs. (109.2±22.4) minutes, t=10.107, P<0.001], higher rate of intraoperative drainage tube [100.0% (22/22) vs. 50.0% (11/22), P<0.001], longer duration of indwelling drainage tube [4 (2-7) days vs. 1 (0-7) days, U=131.000, P=0.008], and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). There was no significant difference between the SG group and the SADI-S group in terms of postoperative hospital stay and complication rate. The weight loss efficacy of SADI-S group and SG group was compared at 3, 6 and 12 months after operation. The results showed that with the increase of follow-up time, the patient's body weight and body mass index gradually decreased, %EWL and %TWL gradually increased (all P<0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in body weight, body mass index and %EWL between the SADI-S group and the SG group at 3, 6 and 12 months after operation (all P>0.05). There was no statistically significant difference of %TWL between two groups at 3 months after operation (F=0.846, P=0.368), but SADI-S group had higher %TWL at 6 and 12 months after operation and the differences were statistically significant (6-month: 34.0±5.1 vs. 30.2±4.3, F=5.813, P=0.025; 12-month: 42.9±6.8 vs. 34.8±7.6, F=14.262, P=0.001). Except for that the remission rate of total cholesterol of SADI-S group was higher than that of SG group, remission rates of metabolic diseases were not significantly different at different follow-up points (all P>0.05). As for the nutrient deficiency (albumin, retinal-binding-protein, iron protein, vitamin B12, vitamin D and folic acid) and the incidence of gallstones, no significant differences were found between two groups (all P>0.05). Conclusion: Both SADI-S and SG are safe and effective for the treatment of obesity and obesity-related metabolic diseases, but the former is more effective.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the expression of von Hippel-Lindau (VHL), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and hypoxia inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) in endolymphatic sac tumor (ELST) and its clinical significance, and to analyze its association with VHL gene mutation. Methods: Twenty-four cases of ELST, which were surgically resected and diagnosed by pathological examination in Beijing Tongren Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, Beijing, China during 2012-2020, were recruited as the ELST group, and 24 cases of otitis media diagnosed in the same hospital were selected as the control group. The expression of VHL, VEGF, and HIF-1α was assessed using EnVision immunohistochemical staining and compared between the ELST and control groups. Sanger sequencing was performed to detect the VHL mutation status in 24 ELSTs. The correlations among VHL, VEGF and HIF-1α expression were analyzed. The associations of VHL, VEGF and HIF-1α expression with age of onset, gender, tumor size, bone invasion and clinical stage in ELST were also analyzed. Results: The expression rate of VHL in the ELST group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), but the expression rates of VEGF and HIF-1α in the ELST group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). VHL expression was inversely correlated with VEGF and HIF-1α expression. The expression of VEGF and HIF-1α was associated with bone invasion and clinical stage (P<0.05), but the expression of VHL, VEGF and HIF-1α had no significant associations with the age of onset, gender, or tumor size of ELST (P>0.05). Conclusions: The expression of VHL is decreased while that of VEGF and HIF-1α increased in ELST. Expression of VHL is inversely correlated with that of VEGF and HIF-1α. The expression of VEGF and HIF-1α is correlated with bone invasion and clinical stage. Thus, VEGF and HIF-1α may be therapeutic targets of ELST.

Mussle foot protein has a main component which is named dopa. Dopa can be used to promote a relatively firm adhesion of mussels to the surface of solid materials through forming dihydrogen bonds, π-π/π-cation bonds and chelating metals,etc. To exploit these interactions, there is the opportunity to apply dopa-inspired compounds to improve the dentin-resin bonding. The current review provides valuable information concerning the mechanism of adhesion mediated by mussel foot protein and describes the application of dopa-inspired compounds in the dentin-resin bonding. The article provides novel information for future research in optimization of the properties of dentin-resin bonding.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the early clinical clues for diagnosis of chronic granulomatous disease (CGD). Methods: One hundred and thirty-nine children with CGD seen in Beijing Children's Hospital from January 2007 to October 2020 were included in this study. The clinical features including age of onset, first presentations, reason for being hospitalized, etiology, imaging features, clues for early diagnosis of all patients were evaluated retrospectively. According to the time of diagnosis, the patients were divided into two groups, cases diagnosed before 2015 and after 2015 and 2015. The time of diagnosis, the length of stay and the hospital charges were compared between the two groups. T test and χ2 test were used for statistical analyses. Results: One hundred and nineteen of the cases were males and 20 were females. The age of onset was 4 months (8 d to 14 years), and 103 cases (74.1%) had onset before 1 year of age. The age at diagnosis was 1.8 years (21 d to 14.7 years), and the time of diagnosis delay was 1 year (7 d to 13.7 years). One hundred and thirty-five cases (97.1%) had pulmonary infection as the main reason for hospitalization, of whom 76 cases (56.3%) had positive pulmonary etiology. One hundred and thirty-six patients (97.8%) were referred cases, of whom 5 were suspected of CGD before referral, and the misdiagnosis rate was as high as 96.3% (131/136). Eight early clues for diagnosis were found, the frequency from high to low, large bacillus Callmette-Guer scar in 99 cases (70.5%), left axillary lymphadenopathy or calcification in 73 cases (52.5%), skin or other lymph node infections in 58 cases (41.7%), skin scars in 50 cases (36.0%), multiple lung nodules in 42 cases (30.2%), perianal abscess in 35 cases (25.2%), pulmonary Aspergillus infection in 26 cases (18.7%) and pulmonary Burkholderia infection in 15 cases (10.8%). A total of 120 cases of CGD were diagnosed by respiratory burst test during hospitalization, including 55 cases diagnosed before 2015 and 65 cases diagnosed after 2015. After using these 8 early diagnosis clues, the cases diagnosed after 2015 had shorter time of diagnosis and the length of stay and lower hospitalization charge than cases diagnosed before 2014, and the difference was statistically significant ((25±7) vs. (10±5) d, (29±7) vs. (18±6) d, (3.7×104±1.2×104) vs. (3.2×104±1.2×104) Yuan, t=13.763, 9.262, 2.381, all P<0.05). Conclusions: Patients with CGD are younger at onset and the diagnosis is delayed. Pulmonary infections are the most common. Large BCG scar, left axillary lymphadenopathy or calcification, skin or other lymph node infections, skin scars, multiple lung nodules, perianal abscesses, pulmonary Aspergillus infection and Burkholderia infection can help early diagnosis of CGD.

Abstract
Inner Mongolia Cashmere goat is a well-known local cashmere goat breed in China. It is famous for excellent fleece quality and a significant advantage in cashmere yield compared to other cashmere goat breeds. In this study, a genome-wide association study was used to investigate fiber length, fiber diameter, and cashmere yield of 192 Inner Mongolia Cashmere goats using the Illumina GoatSNP52K Beadchip panel. We discovered that four single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) reached genome-wide significance levels. These SNPs were located in some genes, e.g. FGF12, SEMA3D, EVPL, and SOX5, possibly related to fleece traits in Inner Mongolia Cashmere goat. Gene ontology enrichment analysis revealed that these genes were enriched in several biological pathways that were involved in hair follicle development in cashmere goats. In summary, the identified significant SNPs and genes provide useful information to explore genetic mechanisms underlying the variation in fleece traits and genomic selection of Chinese cashmere goat.

Abstract
Single-anastomosis duodeno-ileal bypass with sleeve gastrectomy (SADI-S) is simpler and has similar efficacy for obesity and obesity-associated metabolic diseases in comparison to biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch. We reported the first Da Vinci robot-assisted SADI-S in the treatment of severe obesity in China. This male patient was 27-year-old with height of 180 cm, body weight of 140 kg, waistline of 125 cm and body mass index of 43.2 kg/m(2). The diagnosis at admission was fatty liver, severe obesity, hypertriglyceridemia and hyperuricemia. The patient underwent Da Vinci robot-assisted SADI-S. The surgeon identified ileocecal part by appendix, then a common channel was measured retrogradely from the ileocecal valve, the distal ileum at 300 cm from the ileocecal part was marked and suspended. A sleeve gastrectomy was performed over a 34 Fr bougie tube. An end-to-side anastomosis between proximal duodenum and the pre-marked ileum was performed after duodenal bulb transection. Gastric incision was sutured with omentum reinforcement. No leakage was found after injecting methylene per os. Finally, a drainage tube was left in place under the anastomosis and close to the duodenal stump. The operation time was 244 minutes and the amount of bleeding during surgery was 50 ml. The patient recovered well with a postoperative hospital stay of 7 days and was followed up for six months. The percent of excess weight loss (EWL%) was 80.21% at 6 months after operation. The body weight, body mass index and waist circumference decreased significantly after operation. Complete remission was achieved for hypertriglyceridemia, hyperuricemia and insulin resistance. The patient suffered from cholestasis without serious complications at 6 months after operation. Our experience shows that Da Vinci robot-assisted SADI-S is safe and feasible in treating severe obesity.

Small nucleolar RNA host genes (SNHGs) as a subset of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) act critical roles in tumor progression. The present study aimed to elucidate the role and mechanisms of SNHG3 in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The correlation of SNHG3/miR-340-5p/HOXA10 with the clinicopathological features and outcomes in NSCLC was analyzed by TCGA cohort. In vitro and in vivo functional experiments were conducted to assess the role of SNHG3 in NSCLC cells. Bioinformatic analysis and luciferase gene reporter were used to estimate the interaction between miR-340-5p and SNHG3/HOXA10 3'UTR. The effects of SNHG3 and (or) miR-340-5p on HOXA10 expression were detected by qRT-PCR and Western blot analysis. As a consequence, the elevated expression of SNHG3 and HOXA10 or lowered expression of miR-340-5p was related to the lymph node infiltration, distant metastases and unfavorable prognosis in NSCLC. Ectopic expression of SNHG3 boosted the proliferation and invasion of NSCLC cells in vitro and in vivo, whereas downregulation of SNHG3 reversed these effects. Moreover, SNHG3 could bind with miR-340-5p and reduce its expression levels, and miR-340-5p attenuated SNHG3-induced tumor proliferation and HOXA10 expression in NSCLC cells. Our findings unveiled that SNHG3 might be an oncogenic factor in NSCLC by downregulating miR-340-5p.

Abstract
目的 评估伊马替尼对慢性髓性白血病慢性期(CML-CP)儿童身高的影响。 方法 2018年7月至2019年7月,在全国范围内对诊断时年龄<18周岁、接受伊马替尼治疗至少3个月的CML儿童或其家长发放问卷,调查受访者伊马替尼治疗前后身高的变化。主要评价指标为身高标准差积分值(HtSDS)以及标准差积分的差值(ΔHtSDS),并分析其相关影响因素。 结果 共有238例受访者符合标准并被纳入研究,男性138例(58.0%),初诊时中位年龄11.0(1.4~17.9)岁,青春期前93例(39.0%),至填写答卷时,中位年龄15.0(2.0~34.0)岁,中位伊马替尼服药时间28(3~213)个月。受访者填写答卷时HtSDS(−0.063±1.361)较治疗前HtSDS(0.391±1.244)显著下降(P<0.001),71.0%的患儿出现身高增长减慢。青春期前服药者治疗后HtSDS下降显著(P<0.05),而青春期开始后服药者HtSDS变化不明显(P>0.05)。多因素分析显示,服药初始年龄较小(偏回归系数为0.122,B=0.572,t=10.733,P<0.001)和服药时间较长(偏回归系数为−0.006,B=−0.211,t=−4.062,P<0.001)是伊马替尼抑制身高增长的独立影响因素。 结论 伊马替尼引起CML-CP儿童身高增长障碍,服药初始年龄越小、服药时间越长,伊马替尼对身高的影响越明显。

Abstract
Objective: To explore the effects of ilioinguinal composite tissue flaps in repairing skin and soft tissue defects on hand or foot and reconstructing the flexion and extension functions of wrist, finger, ankle, and toe. Methods: From February 2012 to March 2018, 4, 5, and 3 patients (11 males and 1 female, 23-62 years old) with skin and soft tissue defects on hand or foot were admitted to Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Zhongmu County of Henan Province, Henan Armed Police Corps Hospital, and the Affiliated Jiangyin Hospital of Medical College of Southeast University, respectively. Five patients had hand defects, and 7 patients had foot defects. The areas of skin and soft tissue defects after debridement were 10 cm×8 cm-15 cm×10 cm. The ilioinguinal composite tissue flaps were designed and resected according to the wound area and the length of tendon defects, and the areas of flaps were 10 cm×8 cm-15 cm×12 cm. According to the specific condition of the recipient area, the superficial iliac circumflex artery in the tissue flap was reconstructed by end-to-side anastomosis in 2 patients and end-to-end anastomosis in 1 patient with ulnar artery, end-to-side anastomosis in 4 patients with the dorsal foot artery, end-to-side anastomosis in 2 patients with the posterior tibial artery, and end-to-end anastomosis in 1 patient with the external tarsal foot artery in the recipient area, and the superficial epigastric artery in the tissue flap was reconstructed by end-to-side anastomosis in 1 patient with the radial artery and end-to-end anastomosis in 1 patient with the ulnar artery in the recipient area. The donor sites were sutured directly or repaired with medium split-thickness skin grafts. The survival of tissue flap after the operation and the appearance, texture, and the two-point discrimination distance of the tissue flaps during follow-up were observed. The hand function and foot function were evaluated by the total active movement standard of hand and the Maryland foot score standard, respectively. Results: All the tissue flaps in 12 patients survived. During follow-up of 6-36 months after operation, the tissue flaps were slightly bloated, with linear scars at the junction site in the recipient area, and the two-point discrimination distances of the tissue flaps were 15-22 mm. The hand function was excellent in 3 cases, good in 1 case, and fair in 1 case, and the foot function was excellent in 4 cases, good in 2 cases, and fair in 1 case, and all the patients were satisfied with the function and appearance of hand or foot. Conclusions: The ilioinguinal composite tissue flaps can repair the hand and foot wounds and reconstruct the flexion and extension functions of wrist, finger, ankle, and toe at the same time, which is an effective method to repair this kind of defects.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the epidemiological characteristics and transmission chain of COVID-19 in two families, and to provide scientific evidence for effective prevention and control measures. Methods: Field epidemiological investigation was conducted for the COVID-19 cases occurred in two families and the close contacts in a county of Baotou city in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Descriptive statistical analysis on epidemiological data was conducted. Results: The infection source of the COVID-19 cases in the two families was a man who had living history in Wuhan. After his return, his parents were infected by him. A few days later, the members of a neighbor family were found to be infected, and relatives of this family were also infected after dining together repeatedly. Finally, ten confirmed cases and three suspected cases of COVID-19 were detected in the two families. Conclusions: Human-to-human transmission of COVID-19 can occur not only in a family but also in neighborhoods. The cases in two families had close relationship, indicating the necessity to strengthen the health education about COVID-19 prevention and control and the management of groups at high risk to reduce the incidence of COVID-19 in families and neighborhoods.

Abstract
Baicalin has been used in China to treat inflammation-related diseases, such as inflammation-induced acute kidney injury (AKI). However, the specific mechanism of baicalin remains unclear. To observe the protective effects of baicalin on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammatory injury of renal tubular epithelial cells (HK-2 cells) and to explore its protective mechanism. LPS (1 mg/L) was used to induce an HK-2 cell inflammatory injury model in vitro. The cells were divided into seven groups: the normal control group, LPS-induced group, LPS plus 5 μmol/L baicalin treatment group, LPS plus 15 μmol/L baicalin treatment group, LPS plus 25 μmol/L baicalin treatment group, LPS plus 50 μmol/L baicalin treatment group, and LPS plus 75 μmol/L baicalin treatment group. 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5- diphenyl-2-H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay was employed for detecting the relative survival rate of HK-2 cells. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used for detecting the levels of inflammatory factors, including interleukin-6 (IL-6), IL-1β, and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α). Moreover, the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS); cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2); nuclear factor kB65 (NF-κB65); phosphorylated NF-κB inhibitory protein-α (p-IκB-α); NF-κB inhibitory protein (IκB); human thioredoxin interacting protein (TXNIP); and human NACHT, LRR, and PYD domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3) were determined by Western blot analysis. The expression levels of NLRP3 and TXNIP mRNA and miR-223-3p were determined by RT-PCR. Results found that the relative survival rate of HK-2 cells treated with different baicalin concentrations was significantly increased (P<0.05) and the levels of the inflammatory factors IL-6, IL-1β, and TNF-α were significantly decreased (P<0.05) compared with those of the LPS-induced group. The expression levels of the inflammatory proteins inducible nitric oxide synthase and cyclooxygenase-2 and the genes expressions of TXNIP and NLRP3 were significantly decreased in the cells (P<0.05), while the expression level of miR-223- 3p was significantly increased (P<0.05). These changes were induced in a dose-dependent manner. The results suggest that baicalin significantly inhibited the expression of inflammation-related proteins and alleviated LPS-induced inflammatory injury in HK-2 cells. The mechanism may be associated with the inhibition of activation of the TXNIP/NLRP3 inflammatory pathway, which might be mediated by increased expression of miR-223-3p. Thus, NLRP3 is a regulatory target of miR-223-3p.

Abstract
From January 2014 to June 2018, 28 patients with different types of deep soft tissue injury or infection were admitted to the Affiliated Jiangyin Hospital of Medical College of Southeast University; 5 patients were admitted to the Zhengzhou First People's Hospital. There were 24 males and 9 females, aged 18-89 (40±20) years. Disposable suction tubes with holes cut on side walls were used as self-made drainage tubes. The authors placed the self-made drainage tubes on different deep soft tissue layers and wound surfaces after debridement. The effective drainage sections of the wound surface drainage tubes were wrapped with silver ion antimicrobial functional active dressings. Bio-permeable membrane was used to close the operative area. The drainage tubes in the deep layer of wound and wound surface were connected in parallel by a tee and connected to wall-hanging medical negative-pressure suction device to conduct negative-pressure wound treatment at -20.0 to -10.6 kPa. The deep drainage tubes were usually removed or changed 4 or 5 days after surgery.The drainage tubes in the wound surface were synchronously replaced when removing or replacing he drainage tubes in the deep layer of wound. On 4 to 15 days after surgery, the deep drainage tubes were removed. On 8 to 25 days after surgery, the wound surface drainage tubes were removed. Then the treatment was changed to a conventional dressing change until the wounds were completely healed or the wound bed was ready for skin grafts or tissue flaps. The indwelling time of deep drainage tubes in this group of patients was (6.2±2.8) days, and the indwelling time of wound surface drainage tubes was (12.0±3.0) days. The wound healing time was (22±5) days, the hospital stay time was (29±7) days, and wound bacteria were reduced from 6 species and 11 strains before treatment to 3 species and 4 strains after treatment. No adverse events such as wound bleeding, irritative pain, and chronic sinus occurred during treatment. Twenty-three patients were followed up for 13 to 28 months, no treatment-related complications were observed.

Abstract
Objective: To observe the effect of olfactory training on mice with olfactory dysfunction induced by 3-methylindole (3-MI). Methods: Thirty-one male BALB/c mice were randomly divided into 3 groups by random digits table: control group (group A, n=10), olfactory dysfunction group (group B, n=10) and olfactory dysfunction+olfactory training group (group C, n=11). Mice in group B and group C were intraperitoneally injected with 150 mg/kg 3-MI to induce olfactory dysfunction model, while mice in group A were intraperitoneally injected with corn oil of the same volume. From the first day after injection, mice in group C were treated with 4 kinds of odors by inhalation, while mice in group B were treated with distilled water by inhalation, with 2 times/d, 30 min/time/kind of odor, and continuous training for 28 d. Group A was not treated. Buried food pellet tests were conducted before injection and at 7, 14, 21 and 28 days after injection, respectively. The olfactory epithelium was harvested for observation of the number of olfactory marker protein (OMP) and the thickness of olfactory epithelium on the 28th day after injection. SPSS 23.0 software was used for statistical analysis. Results: Before injection, all mice in each group had no olfactory dysfunction. At the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th days after injection, the food finding time of mice in group C was shorter than that in group B, and the difference was statistically significant ((175.88±100.50) s vs (266.73±46.83) s, (132.00±84.62) s vs (264.10±48.50) s, (103.57±77.43) s vs (197.43±69.78) s, (67.79±32.54) s vs (176.63±61.06) s, all P<0.05), but food finding time of mice in group B and C was longer than that in group A (the food finding time of group A at the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th days after injection was (27.13±5.36) s, (25.83±7.28) s, (23.13±2.72) s, (26.63±7.60) s, respectively, all P<0.05). At the 28th day after olfactory training, the number of OMP positive cells in group B and C were fewer than that in group A, and the difference was statistically significant ((108.00±28.19)/HP vs (288.22±84.06)/HP, (199.33±58.55)/HP vs (288.22±84.06)/HP, all P<0.05). The number of OMP positive cells in group C were higher than that in group B (P<0.05). The number of OMP positive cells had negative correlation with food finding time (r=-0.886, P<0.01). As for the thickness of the olfactory epithelium, the thickness of group B was thinner than that in group A and C, and the difference was statistically significant ((59.57±31.27) μm vs (114.55±40.70)μm vs (90.54±37.72) μm, all P<0.05). Conclusion: Olfactory training can accelerate the recovery of olfactory function in 3-MI-induced olfactory impaired mice.

Abstract
The overflow of the flame plume from the window is the main cause of the vertical spread of the fire on the facade of the building. This paper considers the geometry of the window by taking measures to prevent the flame from propagating along the vertical wall. In this paper, a residential building is taken as an example to evaluate the flame plume characteristics through experimental tests and numerical simulations. The objective of the present study is to study the flame plume characteristics under the air blow on the outer window side of the building. The theoretical equations of the flame tilt angle, non-dimensional temperature and non-dimensional velocity are derived. A series of experimental tests were carried out in a reduced-scale building model corresponding to the changes of lateral blow ventilation velocity. Reduced scale numerical simulations were conducted to verify the experiments. Results showed that the flame tilt angle increases with ventilation velocity increases. Meanwhile, the experimental results were compared with the reduced-scale tests and numerical simulations. These showed a good agreement between experimental results and numerical simulations. All these findings provide theoretical basis for building fire prevention outside window.

Abstract
From January 2013 to December 2017, 8 patients with deep burns of upper limbs were admitted to our hospital, including 6 males and 2 females, aged 23-48 years. The wound area of full-thickness burns to burns with tendon and bone injury was 4.5 cm×2.0 cm-20.0 cm×10.5 cm. After debridement, thin abdominal flaps with subdermal vascular network in the size of 5.0 cm×2.5 cm-22.0 cm×12.0 cm were applied to cover the wounds, and the donor sites were sutured directly by relaxation. The disposable suction tubes with holes cut on side walls were used as drainage tubes. The part of drainage tubes with holes were wrapped with nano-silver antimicrobial dressings and then placed at the lowest position of pedicle and donor site of abdominal flap and the space between the injured limb and the abdominal wall. The loose nano-silver antibacterial dressing was used to fill the webs of fingers and the gap between the injured limb and the abdominal wall. The transparent film dressing was used to close the surgical area and then connected with a low negative voltage electric suction device to continuously suck at a negative pressure of -15 to -10 kPa. The self-made vacuum sealing drainage device was replaced at intervals of 4 to 5 days until pedicle breakage was performed 2 to 3 weeks after operation. The pedicled abdominal flaps of 8 patients had no torsion or avulsion, no pedicle blood supply disorder, and no infection or skin erosion in the operation area, and all the flaps survived after pedicle breakage.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the clinical effect of free anterolateral thigh flap in repairing large annular soft tissue defect of lower leg after burn. Methods: From January 2014 to December 2018, 9 patients with large annular soft tissue defects of lower legs after burns were hospitalized in Zhengzhou First People's Hospital, including 1 case with wounds on both legs. After debridement, area of wounds was 16 cm×11 cm-38 cm×21 cm, and the burn wounds were repaired with free anterolateral thigh flaps in the area of 18 cm×12 cm-32 cm×24 cm. End-to-end anastomosis of posterior tibial vessels or anterior tibial vessels with lateral circumflex femoral vessels was performed in manual way or by microvascular stapler. For the affected legs without condition for anastomosis, the sound medial lower leg flaps with areas of 10 cm×8 cm-15 cm×10 cm were excised and made into skin tubes, the posterior tibial vessels of the flaps were anastomosed with the vessels of free anterolateral femoral flaps, and the wounds of the injured lower legs were repaired by bridge-type cross-over free transplantation of anterolateral thigh flaps. The pedicles were broken 4 to 5 weeks later. The donor site was transplanted with autologous intermediate split-thickness skin graft from thigh. The outcome of the treatment, the number of perforators included in the flaps, and the anastomotic vessel in the recipient area of patients were recorded. The anastomosis time between manual way and microvascular staplers was recorded and compared. The patency of blood vessels, methods of free transplantation, and follow-up condition were recorded. Data were processed with Wilcoxon rank sum test for two independent samples. Results: All the 10 free flaps and skin grafts of 9 patients survived, and all the wounds were closed by primary operation. Seven flaps contained two perforators each, and three flaps contained three perforators each. The anastomotic vessels were posterior tibial vessels in 6 recipient areas and anterior tibial vessels in 4 recipient areas. Microvascular stapler was used to anastomose 12 veins, while 8 veins and 10 arteries were anstomosed manually. The time consumed by the former method was 4.00 (3.55, 4.38) min, significantly shorter than 12.80 (12.13, 13.40) min of the latter (W=78.00, P<0.01). The patency rates of veins and arteries were 100%. There was no vascular crisis due to vascular anastomosis. Three patients underwent bridge-type cross-over free transplantation, while the others underwent conventional free transplantation. Follow-up for 3 to 30 months showed that the donor site of the thigh had good motor function, without numbness or pain, but hypertrophy of scar could be seen. Four patients had slightly overstaffed flaps transplanted in the recipient area of the lower legs, while the other patients were satisfied with their appearance, and the walking function of the affected limbs gradually recovered. Conclusions: Free anterolateral thigh flap transplantation is a safe and reliable clinical limb salvage method for the repair of large annular soft tissue defect of lower leg after burn. Intraoperative application of microvascular stapler for venous anastomosis can shorten the time of vascular anastomosis and has great clinical application value.

Objective: To investigate the in vitro and in vivo effects of 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA)-mediated photodynamic therapy against oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and preliminarily explore the possible mechanisms. Methods: SCC25 cells were divided into the control group (5-ALA of 0 mg/L) and the experimental group (5-ALA of 10, 25, 50, 100 and 150 mg/L). The production of protoporphyrin Ⅸ (PpⅨ) induced by 5-ALA in SCC25 cells was detected using the flow cytometry. SCC25 cells were divided into the control group (5-ALA of 0 mg/L), lazer alone group, 5-ALA alone group (5-ALA of 100 mg/L) and the 5-ALA combined with laser irradiation group (5-ALA of 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 mg/L), the cytotoxicity of 5-ALA combined with laser irradiation (wave length 635 nm, power density 87 mW/cm(2) and laser dose 10.4 J/cm(2)) was evaluated in SCC25 cells using the methyl thiazolyltetrazolium assay (incubation times of 4, 8 and 12 h in each group) and the induction effect of combination treatment on the cell apoptosis was assessed by the flow cytometry (incubation time of 12 h in each group). The intracellular production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) triggered by 5-ALA combined with laser irradiation was determined using a fluorescence probe method (incubation time of 12 h in each group). A mouse OSCC xenograft model bearing SCC25 tumor was built, and the mice were divided into control group (saline), 5-ALA group (5-ALA of 50 mg/kg) and 5-ALA combined with laser irradiation group (5-ALA of 10, 25 and 50 mg/kg). Antitumor effect of 5-ALA combined with laser irradiation (wave length 635 nm, power density 158 mW/cm(2) and laser dose 94.8 J/cm(2)) was further measured. Results: 5-ALA induced the production of PpⅨ in SCC25 cells in a drug concentration (0-150 mg/L)-and incubation time (0-24 h)-dependent manner. When the 5-ALA concentration was 100 mg/L, the intracellular PpⅨ production was in a relatively stable state. Cell viability and apoptosis rate of 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 mg/L 5-ALA combined with laser irradiation are, respectively, (82.3±5.2)%, (3.13±0.38)%; (74.6±9.3)%, (5.38±0.55)%; (38.3±9.7)%, (17.97±2.72)%; (9.2±3.8)%, (24.47±3.37)%; (7.2±0.8)%, (43.01±5.96)%, which indicated that 5-ALA combined with laser irradiation notably inhibited the growth of SCC25 cells and also induced significant cell apoptosis compared with the control group [(96.3±6.0)%, (0.35±0.13)%, P<0.05]. After combination treatment (5-ALA of 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 mg/L combined with laser irradiation, the mean fluorescence intensity of dichlorofluorescein is (1.46±0.12)×10(4), (2.16±0.30)×10(4), (3.57±0.34)×10(4), (81.70±13.05)×10(4), (113.00±7.35)×10(4), respectively, a large amount of ROS was produced in SCC25 cells compared with the control group [(0.96±0.15) ×10(4), P<0.05], which was in positive correlation with the intracellular PpⅨ content. 5-ALA (concentration of 10, 25 and 50 mg/kg) combined with laser irradiation greatly suppressed the tumor growth in SCC25 tumor-bearing mice compared to the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: 5-ALA-mediated photodynamic therapy can trigger the generation of intracellular ROS that has significant cytotoxicity and apoptosis induction effect, and thus inhibit the tumor growth both in vitro and in vivo.

Abstract
The co-occurrence of heavy metal contamination of soils and increasing air temperature can affect the microbial community in rhizosphere soils by altering the allocation of plant photosynthates to roots. Here, we investigated the community structure of bacteria, fungi, ammonia oxidizing bacteria (AOB) and ammonia oxidizing archaea (AOA) in the rhizosphere of Robinia pseudoacacia L. seedlings exposed to elevated air temperature (+1.99 °C) and cadmium (Cd) for 4 years. Elevated temperature increased the richness of bacterial and AOA communities by 15.1% to 43.8% and by 1.4% to 18.6%, respectively, and decreased fungal and AOB richness by 3.7% to 28.7% and by 2.1% to 30.6%, respectively, under Cd exposure. Elevated temperature combined with Cd exposure decreased fungal diversity by 1.5% to 14.0%. However, elevated temperature decreased the diversity of bacteria, AOB and AOA by 1.4%, 17.4% and 10.1%, respectively, under 1.0 mg Cd kg-1 dry soil and increased the diversity of these taxa by 1.5%, 15.3% and 9.2%, respectively, under 5.0 mg Cd kg-1 dry soil relative to Cd exposure alone. Elevated temperature led to increased abundance of genera such as Methylobacterium, Stenotrophomonas, and Archangium and decreased abundance of genera including Ramlibacter, Microascus and Nitrosospira under Cd exposure. Over all, 4 years of exposure to elevated temperature had a greater effect on the community structure of bacteria, fungi, AOB and AOA when combined with Cd pollution.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze effects of cooperation between physicians in department of burn surgery and department of intensive care medicine on rescue and treatment of severe mass burn patients involved in August 2nd Kunshan factory aluminum dust explosion accident. Methods: On August 2nd, 2014, 15 extremely severe burn patients involved in August 2nd Kunshan factory aluminum dust explosion accident were admitted to temporary burn treatment center established in Department of Critical Care Medicine of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University. The 15 patients were equally divided into 3 groups, with 5 patients in each group. Fifteen surgeons and 30 nurses from department of burn surgery and 15 physicians and 30 nurses from department of intensive care medicine from different hospitals in China were divided into 3 groups, with 5 physicians and 10 nurses from department of burn surgery and 5 physicians and 10 nurses from department of intensive care medicine in each group. Each group of physicians and nurses were responsible for treatment of 5 patients. Treatment of patients was leaded by surgeons from department of burn surgery, who were responsible for wound dealing and operation. Physicians from department of intensive care medicine were responsible for systemic treatment and adjustment of relevant equipment's parameters. Volume of fluid infusion and urine output in shock period, severe systemic complication during period of treatment, using time and kind of antibiotics, death in 1 month after admission, length of hospital stay, and survival of patients were monitored. Results: Volume of fluid infusion of 15 extremely severe burn patients within the first 24 hours post injury was 10 360-17 162 (12 998±1 811) mL, including (1.62±0.23) mL·% total body surface area (TBSA)(-1)·kg(-1) electrolyte and colloid and (2 850±232) mL glucose, with electrolyte and colloid ratio of (1.76±0.23)∶1.00. Volume of urine output within the first 24 hours post injury was (2 384±1 242) mL, with (99±52) mL in each hour. Volume of fluid infusion of 15 extremely severe burn patients within the second 24 hours post injury was 8 720-11 616 (9 406±1 277) mL, including (1.04±0.22) mL·%TBSA(-1)·kg(-1) electrolyte and colloid and (2 910±187) mL glucose, with electrolyte and colloid ratio of (1.53±0.31)∶1.00. Volume of urine output within the second 24 hours post injury of patients was (2 299±1 362) mL , with (108±61) mL in each hour. One patient had pulmonary infection, and 7 patients had fungal infection, and no patient had gut microbiota dysbiosis. Patients were treated with combined 2 kinds of antibiotics for 21-85 (50±16) d. No patient died within 1 month after admission. The length of hospital stay was 53-132 (98±44) d. Ten patients survived finally. Conclusions: After being treated by cooperation between physicians in department of burn surgery and department of intensive care medicine, severe mass burn patients involved in August 2nd Kunshan factory aluminum dust explosion accident had hemodynamic stability and could stably experience shock period, with less complication, shorter length of hospital stay, no death within 1 month after admission, more survived patients, which can provide reference for rescue and treatment of severe mass burn patients.

Abstract
Objective: To compare the characteristics of X-ray, CT and MRI of Brucella spondylitis and tuberculous spondylitis and its significance for differential diagnosis. Methods: A total of 10 cases of Brucella spondylitis and 20 cases of tuberculous spondylitis confirmed from the clinical, laboratory or pathological department were enrolled between January 2014 and August 2017 in the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University and the Third Affiliated Hospital of Southern Medical University. The CT, MRI findings were retrospectively analyzed to improve the differential diagnosis of these two diseases. Results: Of the 10 cases of Brucella spondylitis, 8 were located only in the lumbosacral vertebrae, 1 in the thoracic vertebrae only, 1 in the cervical and thoracic vertebrae, 8 with invasive bone destruction, and 8 with narrowed intervertebral space. In 9 cases of intervertebral disc destruction, 7 cases developed paravertebral abscesses, 3 cases had sclerotic edges, all cases had no vertebral body flattening, 5 cases invaded the accessory, 4 cases formed sequestrum, and 6 cases invaded the spinal canal. There were 3 cases showing invasion of surrounding muscles. In 20 cases of tuberculous spondylitis, 12 cases were located in the lumbosacral vertebrae, 6 cases in the thoracic vertebrae only, 1 involved the thoracic vertebrae and lumbosacral vertebrae, 1 involved the neck, chest, and lumbosacral vertebrae. Bone destruction of bone, 19 cases of intervertebral space narrowing, 20 cases of intervertebral disc destruction, 18 cases of paraspinal abscess formation, 10 cases of sclerotic edge formation, 6 cases of vertebral body flattened, 16 cases of invading attachment. There were 17 cases of sequestrum formation, 13 cases of invasion of the spinal canal, and 12 cases of violation of surrounding muscles. There were statistical differences between the two types of imaging signs such as the type of vertebral destruction and the presence or absence of sequestrum. Conclusion: The type of vertebral destruction and the presence or absence of imaging features such as sequestrumwill facilitate the differential diagnosis of Brucella spondylitis and tuberculous spondylitis.

Abstract
Noble metal nanoparticles (NPs) such as Au and Ag have shown many applications in the field of catalysis, sensing etc. due to their excellent photoelectric properties. But agglomeration and a low recovery rate are big problems for their applications. In this research, a novel Ag NPs/graphene (reduced graphene oxide)-loading loofah sponge (Ag NPs/RGO-LS) was synthesized through a one-step reduction method. Where the RGO is used as a nano-support with the high specific surface area and the high conductivity to prevent the agglomeration of Ag NPs and provide a conductive layer. The natural, green, low-cost and high-yield LS is designed as a macro-support to reduce the loss of Ag NPs during recycling. The as-prepared Ag NPs/RGO-LS is stable, uniform, and exhibits high efficiency and reusability in the catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) with a high rate constant of 1.893 min-1 as well as an average conversion of 98% in 6 min during five cycles. The results have not only paved the way for the wide application of Ag NPs but also provide a new road for the application of other metal NPs.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the impact of TGF-β3 on the chondrogenesis of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) under hypoxia environment. Methods: BM-MSCs were obtained from SD rat tibias and femora and cultured with whole bone marrow adherent method. Cell surface antigens were analyzed by flow cytometry and the multiple-directional differentiation capabilities were detected with special differentiation agents to affirm the reality of BM-MSCs. Under normoxia or hypoxia condition, BM-MSCs were induced with TGF-β3 or not. Then, alcian blue and immunofluorescence staining were performed to evaluate the expression level of aggrecan, collagen Ⅱ. qRT-PCR analysis were performed to analyze the expression of aggrecan, collagen Ⅱ and collagen Ⅹ. qRT-PCR and Western blot analysis was performed to detect the mRNA and protein level of HIF-1α, collagenⅡ and β-catenin. Results: BM-MSCs were fibroblast-like shape and had ablities of osteogeic, adipogenic and chondrogenic differentiation, with the expression of CD(29, )CD(44) and CD(90) but not CD(45). Alcian blue and immunofluorescence staining showed that BM-MSCs strongly expressed the aggrecan and collagen Ⅱ with the presence of TGF-β3 under hypoxia condition. qRT-PCR analysis showed the mRNA expression levels of collagen Ⅱ, aggrecan and collagen Ⅹ were up-regulated at 2.46, 2.20 and 1.80 folds, comparing with control group (all P<0.05). Western blot analysis showed that the protein levels of HIF-1α, collagenⅡ in BM-MSCs were up-regulated with the presence of TGF-β3 under hypoxia condition, but β-catenin level was down-regulated. Conclusion: TGF-β3 promotes the chondrogenic differentiation ability of BM-MSCs under hypoxia condition, which may be relative with the inhibition of Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway.

Abstract
The cross-Kerr effects between the cavity and the mechanical oscillator in a parity-time symmetric optomechanical system are investigated. It is found that in the double-passive case there appears an asymmetric optomechanically induced transparency (OMIT) spectrum which is composed of a broad absorption peak located around the resonant point and a absorption line at the frequency position mainly determined by the Kerr interaction. The distinctive asymmetry induced by the cross-Kerr coupling is precisely demonstrated by the analytic findings. In the passive-active case, the resonance peaks in the OMIT spectrum are increased with the weak tunnel coupling, which is contrary to that in the double-passive case. When the tunnel coupling is increased up in the strong coupling region, the broad absorption peak and the absorption line in the OMIT spectrum are sequentially changed into the amplification ones, and the central amplification dip is split into two parts due to the normal mode splitting induced by the strong tunnel coupling. This can be used to realize a switching from absorption to amplification by only adjusting the tunnel interaction.

Abstract
Objective: To explore experience of wound treatment of extremely severe mass burn patients involved in August 2nd Kunshan factory aluminum dust explosion accident. Methods: On August 2nd, 2014, 98 extremely severe burn mass patients involved in August 2nd Kunshan factory aluminum dust explosion accident were admitted to 20 hospitals in China. The patients with complete medical record were enrolled in the study and divided into microskin graft group with 56 patients and Meek skin graft group with 42 patients. Split-thickness skin in area of residual skin were resected to repair wounds of patients in microskin graft group and Meek skin graft group by microskin grafting and Meek miniature skin grafting, respectively. The residual wound size on 28 days post injury and wound infection after skin grafting of patients in the two groups, and position of donor site of all patients were retrospectively analyzed. Data were processed with t test and chi-square test. Results: The size of residual wound of patients in Meek skin graft group on 28 days post injury was (59±13)% total body surface area (TBSA), which was obviously smaller than that in microskin graft group [(70±14)%TBSA, t=4.379, P<0.05]. Twenty-nine patients in microskin graft group and 11 patients in Meek skin graft group suffered from obvious wound infection after skin grafting. Wounds of patients in two groups were repaired with residual skin around wound in head, trunk, groin, armpit, and uncommon donor sites of scrotum (4 patients), vola (10 patients), and toe or finger web (8 patients). Conclusions: Meek skin graft is the first choice for wound repair of extremely severe burn mass patients, with faster wound healing, less wound infection. Uncommon donor sites of scrotum, vola, and toe or finger web can also be used for wound repair in case of lack of skin.

Abstract
The application of Au nanoparticles (Au NPs) often requires surface modification with chemical surfactants, which dramatically reduce the surface activity and increase the chemical contamination and cost of Au NPs. In this research, we have developed a novel Au NPs/reduced graphene oxide/Ni foam hybrid (Au NPs/RGO/NiF) by in situ reduction through ascorbic acid and replacement reaction. This method is green, facile and efficient. The Au NPs are free of chemical surfactants and are homogeneously distributed on the surface of the RGO/NiF. The as-prepared Au NPs/RGO/NiF hybrid is uniform, stable and exhibits not only a high reduction efficiency for the reduction of 4-nitrophenol with a catalytic kinetic constant of up to 0.46 min-1 (0.15 cm3 catalysis) but also a sensitive and selective detection of H2O2 with a detection limit of ∼1.60 μM.

Abstract
A series of trifluoromethyl pyridine derivatives containing 1,3,4-oxadiazole moiety was designed, synthesized and bio-assayed for their insecticidal activity. The result of bio-assays indicated the synthesized compounds exhibited good insecticidal activity against Mythimna separata and Plutella xylostella, most of the title compounds show 100% insecticidal activity at 500 mg L−1 and >80% activity at 250 mg L−1 against the two pests. Compounds E18 and E27 showed LC50 values of 38.5 and 30.8 mg L−1 against Mythimna separata, respectively, which were close to that of avermectin (29.6 mg L−1); compounds E5, E6, E9, E10, E15, E25, E26, and E27 showed 100% activity at 250 mg L−1, which were better than chlorpyrifos (87%). CoMFA and CoMSIA models with good predictability were proposed, which revealed the electron-withdrawing groups with an appropriate bulk at 2- and 4-positions of benzene ring could enhance insecticidal activity. Novel trifluoromethyl pyridine derivatives bearing 1,3,4-oxadiazole whereas synthesized, their which showed good insecticidal activity; a 3D-QSAR model with good predictability was is proposed.![]()

Abstract
Short-term exposure to elevated CO2 increases cadmium (Cd) uptake in some plant species (wheat, poplars, and willows), which triggers an increase in antioxidative system activity to deal with additional reactive oxygen species that are generated. Here, we examined leaf defenses in Robinia pseudoacacia L. seedlings exposed to elevated CO2+Cd for 3years. Three years of elevated CO2 decreased Cd uptake into leaves and the Cd content in soils and increased the pH of rhizosphere soil relative to ambient CO2. In plants exposed to Cd stress, leaf chlorophyll content was greater under elevated CO2 than under ambient CO2. Superoxide dismutase, peroxidase, and catalase activity increased, glutathione content increased, and malondialdehyde and phytochelatins contents decreased under elevated CO2+Cd relative to Cd alone. Proline, soluble sugars, flavonoids, saponins, and phenolic acids contents were greater under elevated CO2+Cd than under Cd alone, and condensed tannin content was lower. Overall, long-term elevation of CO2 enhanced the leaf defense system of R. pseudoacacia exposed to Cd by stimulating antioxidant enzyme activity, osmotic adjustment, and the production of glutathione, flavonoids and phenolic acids. Future research should focus on understanding the mechanisms involved in the decrease in Cd uptake into leaves and Cd content in soils and the increase in rhizosphere soil pH under long-term exposure to elevated CO2.

Inhibition of microRNA-214-5p promotes cell survival and extracellular matrix formation by targeting collagen type IV alpha 1 in osteoblastic MC3T3-E1 cells. Bone Joint Res 2017; 6:464-471. Abstract
Objectives This study aimed to investigate the functional effects of microRNA (miR)-214-5p on osteoblastic cells, which might provide a potential role of miR-214-5p in bone fracture healing. Methods Blood samples were obtained from patients with hand fracture or intra-articular calcaneal fracture and from healthy controls (HCs). Expression of miR-214-5p was monitored by qRT-PCR at day 7, 14 and 21 post-surgery. Mouse osteoblastic MC3T3-E1 cells were transfected with antisense oligonucleotides (ASO)-miR-214-5p, collagen type IV alpha 1 (COL4A1) vector or their controls; thereafter, cell viability, apoptotic rate, and the expression of collagen type I alpha 1 (COL1A1), type II collagen (COL-II), and type X collagen (COL-X) were determined. Luciferase reporter assay, qRT-PCR, and Western blot were performed to ascertain whether COL4A1 was a target of miR-214-5p. Results Plasma miR-214-5p was highly expressed in patients with bone fracture compared with HCs after fracture (p < 0.05 or p < 0.01). Inhibition of miR-214-5p increased the viability of MC3T3-E1 cells and the expressions of COL1A1 and COL-X, but decreased the apoptotic rate and COL-II expression (p < 0.05 or p < 0.01). COL4A1 was a target of miR-214-5p, and was negatively regulated by miR-214-5p (p < 0.05 or p < 0.01). Overexpression of COL4A1 showed a similar impact on cell viability, apoptotic rate, and COL1A1, COL-II, and COL-X expressions inhibiting miR-214-5p (p < 0.01). Conclusion Inhibition of miR-214-5p promotes cell survival and extracellular matrix (ECM) formation of osteoblastic MC3T3-E1 cells by targeting COL4A1. Cite this article: Q. S. Li, F. Y. Meng, Y. H. [The effect of restraint stress on masseter mechanical hyperalgesia and the activity of neurons and astrocytes in the spinal trigeminal nucleus caudalis in rats]. Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of restraint stress on masseter mechanical hyperalgesia and the activity of neurons and astrocytes in the spinal trigeminal nucleus caudalis (Vc). Methods: The animals were randomly divided into the control group, 1-, 3-, 5-, 7-, 9-, 11-and 14-day stress groups, with 10 rats in each group. The body weight increase and behavior tests were used to testify the animal model. The mechanical sensitivity of masseter of the rat before and after the stress was measured with Von Frey filaments. Histological examinations were used to evaluate the expression of neuronal c-fos and astrocytic glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP). Results: Restraint stress resulted in remarkable mechanical allodynia in the masseter muscle. The head withdrawal threshold was significantly lower in the 7-, 9-, 11-and 14-day stress groups ([0.071±0.011], [0.059±0.020], [0.052±0.011], [0.033±0.011] N) than that in the control group ([0.120±0.025] N) (P<0.05). Compared to the control group, the rats in the 1-day stress group showed a significant increase of c-fos in neurons of the Vc and then declined to normal level after 1 week gradually. The GFAP expression in astrocytes of the Vc was significantly increased in the 7-, 9-, 11-and 14-day stress groups (4.3±1.0, 4.5±0.6, 4.6±0.5, 4.8±1.3) compared with the control group (2.0±0.8) (P<0.05). Conclusions: Chronic restraint stress could lower the threshold of mechanical allodynia in the masseter muscle and activate the neurons and astrocytes in Vc. The activation of neurons and astrocytes plays an important role in the masseter hyperalgesia induced by restraint stress in rats.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the clinical manifestations and molecular features of cystic fibrosis in Chinese children. METHOD A retrospective analysis of two pediatric cystic fibrosis cases diagnosed by gene test in Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University from 2010 to 2015, and Chinese cystic fibrosis reported patients searched of"cystic fibrosis, Chinese"on Chinese databases (CNKI, Wanfang Data) and PubMed from 1975 to 2015.The clinical manifestations and molecular features were analyzed. RESULT One of the two newly diagnosed cystic fibrosis cases was a 10-year old girl who suffered from reccurent cough with expectoration and associated with cirrhosis.Sweat tests showed increased chloride twice with the lower level of 306.82 mmol/L.The other was an 8-month old boy with reccurent pneumonia from neonate, failure to thrive and fatty diarrhea.Two children had various degrees of bronchiectasis and massive sticky secretion on the bronchoscopy.They had no family history and their parents had no consanguineous marriage.CFTR mutations of c. 595C>T and c. 2290C>T were found in gene tests.On the database, twenty-one reports involving thirty-six Chinese patients (16 males and 20 females) were retrieved.Together with this group of 2 cases, a total of 38 cases were involved.The age at diagnosis was 4 months to 28 years with a median age of 10 years.All patients had reccurent respiratory infections, twenty-seven cases (71%) had malnutrition, fifteen (39%)had chronic diarrhea, and 16 cases (42%) had other digestive manifestations, including jaundice (4 cases), hepatomegaly (11 cases), ascites (2 cases) and pancreatic atrophy (3 cases). Five cases had a positive family history and six cases had a suspicious family history.Consanguineous marriage was found in three families.Sweat test revealed elevated chloride (52-327 mmol/L) in 28 cases.Eight of the 16 patients who performed pancreatic exocrine function examination showed pancreatic insufficiency.Eighteen of the 20 patients described the image manifestation of bronchiectasis.The age at death of 13 patients(34%) was 4 months to 25 years with a median of 11 years.Twenty-nine rare CFTR mutations were found in 25 tested patients, and c. 1766+ 5G>T(5 cases), c.2083dupG and c. 2684G>A (3 cases) held the top three mutation patterns. CONCLUSION Respiratory symptoms and bronchiectasis are the main manifestations of Chinese cystic fibrosis patients, although some of them may be associated with malnutrition, digestive symptoms and pancreatic insufficiency. CFTR mutations are various and rare in Caucasians.
