Abstract
The efficacy of flow diverters is influenced by the strut configuration changes resulting from size discrepancies between the stent and the parent artery. This study aimed to quantitatively analyze the impact of size discrepancies between flow diverters and parent arteries on the flow diversion effects, using computational fluid dynamics. Four silicone models with varying parent artery sizes were developed. Real flow diverters were deployed in these models to assess stent configurations at the aneurysm neck. Virtual stents were generated based on these configurations for computational fluid dynamics analysis. The changes in the reduction rate of the hemodynamic parameters were quantified to evaluate the flow diversion effect. Implanting 4.0 mm flow diverters in aneurysm models with parent artery diameters of 3.0-4.5 mm, in 0.5 mm increments, revealed that a shift from oversized to undersized flow diverters led to an increase in the reduction rates of hemodynamic parameter, accompanied by enhanced metal coverage rate and pore density. However, the flow diversion effect observed transitioning from oversizing to matching was less pronounced when moving from matching to undersizing. This emphasizes the importance of proper sizing of flow diverters, considering the benefits of undersizing and not to exceed the threshold of advantages.

Abstract
Antimicrobial resistance has recently been considered an emerging catastrophe globally. The public health and environmental threats were aggravated by the injudicious use of antibiotics in animal farming, aquaculture, and croup fields, etc. Consequently, failure of antibiotic therapies is common because of the emergence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria in the environment. Thus, the reduction in antibiotic spillage in the environment could be an important step for overcoming this situation. Bear in mind, this research was focused on the green synthesis of chitosan nanoparticles (ChiNPs) using Citrus lemon (Assam lemon) extract as a cross-linker and application in controlling MDR bacteria to reduce the antibiotic spillage in that sector. For evaluating antibacterial activity, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli were isolated from environmental specimens, and their multidrug-resistant pattern were identified both phenotypically by disk diffusion and genotypically by detecting methicillin- (mecA), penicillin- (blaZ), and streptomycin (aadA1)-resistance encoding genes. The inhibitory zone's diameter was employed as a parameter for determining the antibacterial effect against MDR bacteria revealing 30 ± 0.4 mm, 34 ± 0.2 mm, and 36 ± 0.8 mm zones of inhibition against methicillin- (mecA) and penicillin (blaZ)-resistant S. aureus, and streptomycin (aadA1)-resistant E. coli, respectively. The minimum inhibitory concentration at 0.31 mg/mL and minimum bactericidal concentration at 0.62 mg/mL of yielded ChiNPs were used as the broad-spectrum application against MDR bacteria. Finally, the biocompatibility of ChiNPs was confirmed by showing a negligible decrease in BHK-21 cell viability at doses less than 2 MIC, suggesting their potential for future application in antibiotic-free farming practices.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In Korea, there has been recent interest in nursing simulation education. In nursing, simulation education has many advantages, such as improving nursing students' problem-solving and judgment skills. Simulation education satisfaction is an indicator for evaluating educational performance from the learners' perspective and an important criterion for the development and progress of nursing education. Therefore, based on NLN/Jeffries simulation theory, this study aims to identify the relationship between simulation design and educational satisfaction and to confirm the mediating effect of flow. METHODS This cross-sectional study was conducted using 143 fourth-year nursing students who had participated in classes using simulations at three universities in Seoul, Daegu, and Jeonbuk. Data were collected from April 24 to May 3, 2023. Demographic data, simulation design scale (SDS), flow in simulation, and the educational satisfaction scale in simulation were collected via an online questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed through t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient using SPSS 25.0. The mediating effect of flow was analyzed through the three-stage mediation effect procedure using hierarchical regression analysis and the Sobel test. RESULTS The simulation educational satisfaction had a statistically significant positive correlation with simulation design (r = .65, p < .001) and flow (r = .47, p < .001), and simulation design was positively correlated with the flow (r = .55, p < .001). The simulation design had a statistically significant effect on flow, which was the mediating variable (β = 0.55, p < .001). Additionally, simulation design had a statistically significant effect on simulation educational satisfaction (β = 0.56, p < .001). The significance of the mediating effect of flow on the relationship between simulation design and simulation educational satisfaction was investigated using the Sobel test, and the mediating effect of flow was found to be statistically significant (Z = 5.36, p < .001). CONCLUSION The significance of the current study lies in its confirmation of the link between simulation design and simulation educational satisfaction, as well as the mediating function of flow. Nursing students can achieve simulation educational satisfaction through simulation-based education if simulation educators follow best practices that improve flow through well-organized simulation design.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Recently, cancer organoid-based drug sensitivity tests have been studied to predict patient responses to anticancer drugs. The area under curve (AUC) or IC50 value of the dose-response curve (DRC) is used to differentiate between sensitive and resistant patient's groups. This study proposes a multi-parameter analysis method (cancer organoid-based diagnosis reactivity prediction, CODRP) that considers the cancer stage and cancer cell growth rate, which represent the severity of cancer patients, in the sensitivity test. METHODS On the CODRP platform, patient-derived organoids (PDOs) that recapitulate patients with lung cancer were implemented by applying a mechanical dissociation method capable of high yields and proliferation rates. A disposable nozzle-type cell spotter with efficient high-throughput screening (HTS) has also been developed to dispense a very small number of cells due to limited patient cells. A drug sensitivity test was performed using PDO from the patient tissue and the primary cancer characteristics of PDOs were confirmed by pathological comparision with tissue slides. RESULTS The conventional index of drug sensitivity is the AUC of the DRC. In this study, the CODRP index for drug sensitivity test was proposed through multi-parameter analyses considering cancer cell proliferation rate, the cancer diagnosis stage, and AUC values. We tested PDOs from eight patients with lung cancer to verify the CODRP index. According to the anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) rearrangement status, the conventional AUC index for the three ALK-targeted drugs (crizotinib, alectinib, and brigatinib) did not classify into sensitive and resistant groups. The proposed CODRP index-based drug sensitivity test classified ALK-targeted drug responses according to ALK rearrangement status and was verified to be consistent with the clinical drug treatment response. CONCLUSIONS Therefore, the PDO-based HTS and CODRP index drug sensitivity tests described in this paper may be useful for predicting and analyzing promising anticancer drug efficacy for patients with lung cancer and can be applied to a precision medicine platform.

Abstract
Military personnel in combat face a high risk of developing posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In this study, a protocol-based scoping review was conducted to identify the current status of research on the efficacy of acupuncture for treating combat-related PTSD in military personnel. A literature search was conducted across 14 databases in November 2022, and data from the included studies were collected and descriptively analyzed. A total of eight studies were included. Participants were assessed for core PTSD symptoms using the PTSD Checklist for Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-5 and the Clinician-Administered PTSD Scale, as well as related symptoms, such as sleep issues. Although the efficacy of acupuncture has been substantiated in numerous studies, certain metrics did not exhibit improvement. Auricular acupuncture was the most commonly used treatment (50%) followed by manual acupuncture (25%) and a combination of both (25%). Shenmen and Kidney points were frequently targeted at auricular acupoints. The treatment period varied between 5 days and 2 months. While adverse events were reported in two of the fifty-five patients in the intervention group and in four of the sixty-four patients in the control group in the randomized controlled trial studies, no fatal adverse events were reported.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Despite the extensive implementation of an organized multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach in cancer treatment, there is little evidence regarding the optimal format of MDT. We aimed to investigate the impact of patient participation in MDT care on the actual application rate of metastasis-directed local therapy. METHODS We identified all 1211 patients with locally advanced rectal cancer treated with neoadjuvant radiochemotherapy at a single institution from 2006 to 2018. Practice patterns, tumor burden and OMD state were analyzed in recurrent, metastatic cases. RESULTS With a median follow-up of 60.7 months, 281 patients developed metastases, and 96 (34.2%), 92 (32.7%), and 93 (33.1%) patients had 1, 2-5, and >5 lesions, respectively. In our study, 27.1% were managed in the MDT clinic that mandated the participation of at least four to five board-certified multidisciplinary experts and patients in decision-making processes, while the rest were managed through diverse MDT approaches such as conferences, tumor board meetings, and discussions conducted via phone calls or email. Management in MDT clinic was significantly associated with more use of radiotherapy (p = 0.003) and more sessions of local therapy (p < 0.001). At the time of MDT clinic, the number of lesions was 1, 2-5, and >5 in 9 (13.6%), 35 (53.1%), and 19 (28.8%) patients, respectively. The most common states were repeat OMD (28.8%) and de novo OMD (27.3%), followed by oligoprogression (15%) and induced OMD (10.6%). CONCLUSION Our findings suggest that active involvement of patients and radiation oncologists, and surgeons in MDT care has boosted the probability of using local therapies for various types of OMD throughout the course of the disease.

Abstract
Cyclin D1, a critical cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) 4/6-dependent regulator of G1/S transition, has attracted much interest as a therapeutic target. The cyclin D1 expression in small intestinal adenocarcinomas (SIACs) has not yet been comprehensively studied, owing to the rarity of this tumor. We investigated the clinicopathological and prognostic significance of the cyclin D1 expression in 232 surgically resected primary SIACs through a multi-institutional study. A high expression of cyclin D1 (cyclin D1High) was detected in 145 SIAC cases (63%), which was significantly higher than that in normal small intestinal mucosa (11%). Cyclin D1High was more commonly found in SIACs with a lower T-category and disease stage and KRAS mutation and predicted better patient survival. Multivariate analysis revealed that cyclin D1High, the absence of retroperitoneal seeding and lymphovascular invasion, and the lower N-category were identified as independent prognostic indicators for patients with SIACs. Specifically, cyclin D1High affected patient survival in the lower stage group (stages I and II). In conclusion, cyclin D1 was commonly overexpressed in SIACs, and cyclin D1High acted as a favorable prognostic indicator in patients with SIACs. These findings in SIACs may, thus, be important to further comprehend the mechanism of cyclin D1 in carcinogenesis and to strategize appropriate patient therapies.

Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate the mechanical properties of zirconia fabricated using additive manufacturing technology and compare them to those of zirconia fabricated using subtractive manufacturing technology. Sixty disc-shaped specimens were fabricated for the additive (n = 30) and subtractive manufacturing groups (n = 30), and each group was divided into two subgroups according to their air-abrasion surface treatment: control (n = 15) and air-abrasion groups (n = 15). Mechanical properties including the flexural strength (FS), Vickers hardness, and surface roughness were determined, and the values were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and Tukey's post hoc test (α = 0.05). X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy were used for phase analysis and surface topography evaluation, respectively. The SMA group exhibited the highest FS (1144.97 ± 168.1 MPa), followed by the SMC (944.58 ± 141.38 MPa), AMA (905.02 ± 111.38 MPa), and AMC groups (763.55 ± 68.69 MPa). The Weibull distribution showed the highest scale value (1213.55 MPa) in the SMA group, with the highest shape value in the AMA group (11.69). A monoclinic peak was not detected in both the AMC and SMC groups, but after air abrasion, the monoclinic phase content ([Formula: see text]) reached 9% in the AMA group, exceeding that in the SMA group (7%). The AM groups exhibited statistically lower FS values than those of the SM groups under the same surface treatment (p < 0.05). Air-abrasion surface treatment increased the monoclinic phase content and FS (p < 0.05) in both the additive and subtractive groups, while it increased the surface roughness (p < 0.05) only in the additive group and did not affect the Vickers hardness in either group. For zirconia manufactured using additive technology, the mechanical properties are comparable to those of zirconia manufactured using subtractive technology.

Abstract
Challenges in scaling dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) have become a crucial problem for implementing high-density and high-performance memory devices. Feedback field-effect transistors (FBFETs) have great potential to overcome the scaling challenges because of their one-transistor (1T) memory behaviors with a capacitorless structure. Although FBFETs have been studied as 1T memory devices, the reliability in an array must be evaluated. Cell reliability is closely related to device malfunction. Hence, in this study, we propose a 1T DRAM consisting of an FBFET with a p+-n-p-n+ silicon nanowire and investigate the memory operation and disturbance in a 3 × 3 array structure through mixed-mode simulations. The 1T DRAM exhibits a write speed of 2.5 ns, a sense margin of 90 μA/μm, and a retention time of approximately 1 s. Moreover, the energy consumption is 5.0 × 10-15 J/bit for the write '1' operation and 0 J/bit for the hold operation. Furthermore, the 1T DRAM shows nondestructive read characteristics, reliable 3 × 3 array operation without any write disturbance, and feasibility in a massive array with an access time of a few nanoseconds.

Abstract
Epigenetic regulators are involved in osteoclast differentiation. This study proposes that the inhibitors of epigenetic regulators could be effective in the treatment of osteoporosis. This study identified GSK2879552, a lysine-specific histone demethylase 1 (LSD1) inhibitor, as a candidate for the treatment of osteoporosis from epigenetic modulator inhibitors. We investigate the function of LSD1 during RANKL-induced osteoclast formation. LSD1 small-molecule inhibitors effectively inhibit the RANKL-induced osteoclast differentiation in a dose-dependent manner. LSD1 gene knockout in macrophage cell line Raw 264.7 also inhibits RANKL-mediated osteoclastogenesis. LSD1-inhibitor-treated primary macrophage cells and LSD1 gene knockout Raw 264.7 cells failed to show actin ring formation. LSD1 inhibitors prevent the expression of RANKL-induced osteoclast-specific genes. They also downregulated the protein expression of osteoclast-related markers in osteoclastogeneses, such as Cathepsin K, c-Src, and NFATc1. Although LSD1 inhibitors were shown to reduce the in vitro demethylation activity of LSD1, they did not modulate the methylation of Histone 3 K4 and K9 during osteoclastogenesis. The ovariectomy (OVX)-induced osteoporosis model revealed that GSK2879552 slightly restores OVX-induced cortical bone loss. LSD1 can be employed as a positive regulator to promote osteoclast formation. Hence, inhibition of LSD1 activities is a potential target for preventing bone diseases characterized by excessive osteoclast activities.
