Abstract
CO2 chemistry including capture and fixation has attracted great attention towards the aim of reducing the consumption of fossil fuels and CO2 accumulation in the atmosphere. "CO2 -philic" materials are required to achieve good performance owing to the intrinsic properties of the CO2 molecule, that is, thermodynamic stability and kinetic inertness. In this respect, fluorinated materials have been deployed in CO2 capture (physical and chemical pathway) or fixation (thermo- and electrocatalytic procedure) with good performances, including homogeneous (e. g., ionic liquids and small organic molecules) and heterogeneous counterparts (e. g., carbons, porous organic polymers, covalent triazine frameworks, metal-organic frameworks, and membranes). In this Minireview, these works are summarized and analyzed from the aspects of (1) the strategy used for fluorine introduction, (2) characterization of the targeted materials, (3) performance of the fluorinated systems in CO2 chemistry, and comparison with the nonfluorinated counterparts, (4) the role of fluorinated functionalities in the working procedure, and (5) the relationship between performance and structural/electronic properties of the materials. The systematic summary in this Minireview will open new opportunities in guiding the design of "CO2 -philic" materials and pave the way to stimulate further progress in this field.

Abstract
An iridium dihydride pincer complex [IrH2 (POCOP)] is immobilized in a hydroxy-functionalized microporous polymer network using the concepts of surface organometallic chemistry. The introduction of this novel, truly innocent support with remote OH-groups enables the formation of isolated active metal sites embedded in a chemically robust and highly inert environment. The catalyst maintained high porosity and without prior activation exhibited efficacy in the gas phase hydrogenation of ethene and propene at room temperature and low pressure. The catalyst can be recycled for at least four times.

Abstract
Exploring high-performance electrocatalysts, especially non-noble metal electrocatalysts, for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is critical to energy storage and conversion. Herein, we report for the first time that conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs) incorporating salen can be used as OER electrocatalysts with outstanding performances. The best OER electrocatalyst (salen-CMP-Fe-3) exhibits a low Tafel slope of 63 mV dec-1 and an overpotential of 238 mV at 10 mA cm-2 . DFT and Grand Canonical Monte Carlo calculations confirmed that the significantly improved electrocatalytic properties can be attributed to the intrinsic catalytic activity of the salen moiety and the enrichment effect of the pore structures. This work demonstrates that salen-based conjugated polymers are a type of metal-coordinated porous polymer that show excellent catalyst performance.

Abstract
As a new energy source that could replace petroleum, the global reserves of methane hydrate (combustible ice) are estimated to be approximately 20 000 trillion cubic meters. A large amount of methane hydrate has been found under the seabed, but the transportation and storage of methane gas far from coastlines are technically unfeasible and expensive. The direct conversion of methane into value-added chemicals and liquid fuels is highly desirable but remains challenging. Herein, we prepare a series of iridium complexes based on porous polycarbazoles with high specific areas and good thermochemical stabilities. Through structure tuning we optimized their catalytic activities for the selective monoborylation of methane. One of these catalysts (CAL-3-Ir) can produce methyl boronic acid pinacol ester (CH3 Bpin) in 29 % yield in 9 h with a turnover frequency (TOF) of approximately 14 h-1 . Because its pore sizes favor monoborylated products, it has a high chemoselectivity for monoborylation (CH3 Bpin:CH2 (Bpin)2 =16:1).

Abstract
Nitrogen-rich triazine-based porous organic polyamines (POPa) synthesized via a one-step polycondensation of melamine and 4,4',4''-(1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triyl)tribenzaldehyde is employed to synthesize Au and Pd nanoparticles well-dispersed on POPa. The as-prepared POPa-supported Au NPs and Pd NPs (AuNPs@POPa, PdNPs@POPa) with a narrow size distribution show remarkable catalytic activity for the reduction of nitrobenzene compounds and organic dyes and the Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction, respectively. Benefitting from POPa the AuNPs@POPa and PdNPs@POPa catalysts can be readily recovered and reused almost without loss of activity. The nitrogen-rich porous organic polyamines provide great opportunities to prepare functional metal nanocatalysts with potential in the heterogeneous catalysis field.

Abstract
Conjugated microporous polymers are a unique class of polymers that combine extended π-conjugation with inherent porosity. However, these polymers are synthesized through solution-phase reactions to yield insoluble and unprocessable solids, which preclude not only the evaluation of their conducting properties but also the fabrication of thin films for device implementation. Here, we report a strategy for the synthesis of thin films of π-conjugated microporous polymers by designing thiophene-based electropolymerization at the solution-electrode interface. High-quality films are prepared on a large area of various electrodes, the film thickness is controllable, and the films are used for device fabrication. These films are outstanding hole conductors and, upon incorporation of fullerenes into the pores, function as highly efficient photoactive layers for energy conversions. Our film strategy may boost the applications in photocatalysis, energy storage, and optoelectronics.

Abstract
A porous organic polymer incorporating [(α-diimine)Re(CO)3Cl] moieties was produced and tested in the photocatalytic reduction of CO2, with NEt3 as a sacrificial donor. The catalyst generated both H2 and CO, although the Re moiety was not required for H2 generation. After an induction period, the Re-containing porous organic polymer produced CO at a stable rate, unless soluble [(bpy)Re(CO)3Cl] (bpy=2,2'-bipyridine) was added. This provides the strongest evidence to date that [(α-diimine)Re(CO)3Cl] catalysts for photocatalytic CO2 reduction decompose through a bimetallic pathway.

Abstract
A heterogenized catalyst on a highly porous covalent triazine framework was synthesized and characterized to have a coordination environment similar to that of its homogeneous counterpart. The catalyst efficiently converted CO2 into formate through hydrogenation with a turnover number of 5000 after 2 h and an initial turnover frequency of up to 5300 h(-1) ; both of these values are the highest reported to date for a heterogeneous catalyst, which makes it attractive toward industrial application. Furthermore, the synthesized catalyst was found to be stable in air and was recycled by simple filtration without significant loss of catalytic activity.

Abstract
Cyclometalated iridium complexes are shown to be highly efficient and chemoselective catalysts for the transfer hydrogenation of a wide range of carbonyl groups with formic acid in water. Examples include α-substituted ketones (α-ether, α-halo, α-hydroxy, α-amino, α-nitrile or α-ester), α-keto esters, β-keto esters and α,β-unsaturated aldehydes. The reduction was carried out at substrate/catalyst ratios of up to 50 000 at pH 4.5 and required no organic solvent. The protocol provides a practical, easy and efficient way for the synthesis of β-functionalised secondary alcohols, such as β-hydroxyethers, β-hydroxyamines and β-hydroxyhalo compounds, which are valuable intermediates in pharmaceutical, fine chemical, perfume and agrochemical synthesis.

Abstract
Zinc-coordinated conjugated microporous polymers (Zn-CMPs), prepared by linking salen zinc and 1,3,5-triethynylbenzene, exhibit extraordinary activities (turnover frequencies of up to 11600 h(-1) ), broad substrate scope, and group tolerance for the synthesis of functional organic carbonates by coupling epoxides with CO2 at 120 °C and 3.0 MPa without the use of additional solvents. The catalytic activity of Zn-CMP is comparable to those of homogeneous catalysts and superior to those of other heterogeneous catalysts. This catalyst could be reused more than ten times without a significant decrease in performance.
