Abstract
Psoriasis is a prevalent chronic disease affecting 2-3% of the global population. Cyclosporine A (CyA) has been widely used with great promise in the treatment of moderate to severe psoriasis despite various side effects associated with its systemic administration. Topical administration of CyA circumvents systemic side effects; however, the poor water solubility and large molecular weight of CyA pose challenges for dermal delivery. In this study, choline-based ionic liquids (ILs) were used to enhance the dermal delivery of CyA for the potential treatment of psoriasis. All four ILs tested significantly improved the solubility of CyA, which was greater than that of the control group with dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) as a solubilizer (20%, w/w). The saturated solubility of CyA in two of the ILs, choline geranate ([Ch][Ge]) and choline ricinoleate ([Ch][Ra]), reached more than 90 mg/mL, and the solubilization capability of the ILs except [Ch][Ci] was resistant to water dilution. The negligible change in CyA content determined by high-performance liquid chromatography and the secondary structure detected by circular dichroism spectroscopy confirmed the stability of CyA in the ILs. At 4 h in the in vitro penetration test, the amount of CyA retained in the skin in the IL groups was slightly greater than that in the control group (20% DMSO). The water content of the ILs significantly affected their penetration ability. When the water content increased from 10 to 70%, the dermal delivery of CyA first increased, peaked at a water content of 30%, and then decreased. The dermal delivery ability of [Ch][Ge] and [Ch][Ra] with a water content of 70% was still comparable to that of 20% DMSO. Moreover, CyA-loaded ILs (0.5%, w/w) significantly relieved the symptoms of psoriasis in an imiquimod (IMQ)-induced mouse model, and the levels of inflammatory factors, including tumor necrosis factor α, interleukin 22 and interleukin 17, in the affected area were reduced by 71.7%, 75.6%, and 89.3%, respectively. The IL tested, choline sorbate ([Ch][So]), showed low cytotoxicity to human immortalized epidermal cells (HaCaT). After 7 days of consecutive application, [Ch][So] did not cause significant irritation. In conclusion, ILs demonstrate promising potential for the dermal delivery of CyA for the treatment of psoriasis.

Abstract
It has been found that severe lipid metabolism disorders are often present in patients with Psoriasis, including decreased levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL). This study initially explored the impact of HDL level variations on psoriasis by collecting. This study collected 12 blood samples and 9 skin samples from psoriasis vulgaris and psoriasis vulgaris with reduced HDL levels and performed bulk RNA sequencing. The genes expressed explicitly in both tissue and blood samples from psoriasis vulgaris patients with low HDL levels were selected to explore their molecular regulation in psoriasis vulgaris further, to elucidate the pathogenesis of psoriasis. A total of 421 specific DEGs in blood and 143 specific DEGs in skin from PN groups were obtained, and these genes were enriched in the terms and pathways related to inflammation and immune system. Also, biomarkers were screened out with same expression pattern in both blood and skin samples. Five intersecting differential genes (METRNL, NDEL1, HLA-DRA, MZB1, MKRN3) were obtained. Their function was further predicted. In conclusion, our research identified five biomarkers in psoriasis that are associated with low HDL levels. Furthermore, our findings revealed that alterations in HDL levels in psoriasis may exacerbate the clinical manifestations of psoriasis through regulation of immune response and lipid metabolism.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Patients prone to psoriasis suffer after a breakdown of the epidermal barrier and develop poorly healing lesions with abnormal proliferation of keratinocytes. Strong inflammatory reactions with genotoxicity (short telomeres) suggest impaired immune defenses with DNA damage repair response (DDR) in patients with psoriasis. Recent evidence indicates the existence of crosstalk mechanisms linking the DDR machinery and hormonal signaling pathways that cooperate to influence both progressions of many diseases and responses to treatment. The aim of this study was to clarify whether steroid biosynthesis and genomic stability markers are altered in parallel during the formation of psoriatic skin. Understanding the interaction of the steroid pathway and DNA damage response is crucial to addressing underlying fundamental issues and managing resulting epidermal barrier disruption in psoriasis. METHODS Skin (Lesional, non-lesional) and blood samples from twenty psoriasis patients and fifteen healthy volunteers were collected. Real-Time-PCR study was performed to assess levels of known transcripts such as: estrogen (ESR1, ESR2), androgen (AR), glucocorticoid/mineralocorticoid receptors (NR3C1, NR3C2), HSD11B1/HSD11B2, and DNA damage sensors (SMC1A, TREX1, TREX2, SSBP3, RAD1, RAD18, EXO1, POLH, HUS1). RESULTS We found that ESR1, ESR2, HSD11B1, NR3C1, NR3C2, POLH, and SMC1A transcripts were significantly decreased and AR, TREX1, RAD1, and SSBP3 transcripts were increased dramatically in the lesional skin compared to skin samples of controls. CONCLUSION We found that the regulation of the steroidogenic pathway was disrupted in the lesional tissue of psoriasis patients and that a sufficient glucocorticoid and mineralocorticoid response did not form and the estrogen/androgen balance was altered in favour of androgens. We suggest that an increased androgen response in the presence of DDR increases the risk of developing psoriasis. Although this situation may be the cause or the consequence of a disruption of the epidermal barrier, our data suggest developing new therapeutic strategies.

Abstract
Cyclosporine A (CsA) is a widely used immunosuppressive drug with a narrow therapeutic index and large individual differences. Its therapeutic and toxic effects are closely related to blood drug concentrations, requiring routine therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM). The current main methods for TDM of CsA are enzyme multiplied immunoassay technique (EMIT) and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). However, few study on the method comparison of the EMIT and LC-MS/MS for the measurement of whole blood CsA concentration in children has been reported. In this study, we developed a simple and sensitive LC-MS/MS assay for the determination of CsA, and 657 cases of CsA concentrations were determined from 197 pediatric patients by a routine EMIT assay and by the validated in-house LC-MS/MS method on the same batch of samples, aimed to address the aforementioned concern. Consistency between the two assays was evaluated using linear regression and Bland-Altman analysis. The linear range of LC-MS/MS was 0.500-2000 ng/mL and that of the EMIT was 40-500 ng/mL, respectively. Overall, the correlation between the two methods was significant (r-value ranging from 0.8842 to 0.9441). Unsatisfactory consistency was observed in the concentrations < 40 ng/mL (r = 0.7325) and 200-500 ng/mL (r = 0.6851). Bland-Altman plot showed a mean bias of -18.0 % (±1.96 SD, -73.8 to 37.8 %) between EMIT and LC-MS/MS. For Passing-Bablok regression between EMIT and LC-MS/MS did not differ significantly (p > 0.05). In conclusion, the two methods were closely correlated, but the CsA concentration by LC-MS/MS assay was slightly higher than that by EMIT method. Switching from the EMIT assay to the LC-MS/MS method was acceptable, and the LC-MS/MS method will receive broader application in clinical settings due to its better analytical capabilities, but the results need to be further verified in different laboratories.

Abstract
Psoriasis is a common inflammatory immune disorder due to chronic activation of the adaptive and innate immune responses. Therapies for psoriasis target reducing inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-alpha, interleukin-17, and interleukin-22. Patients with inflammatory disorders have reduced metabolism by cytochrome P450 enzymes in the liver. The pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic changes due to psoriasis also have an impact on reaching therapeutic concentrations of the drug. Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data help determine the safety and clinical considerations necessary when utilizing drugs for plaque psoriasis. A literature search was performed on PubMed and Ovid MEDLINE for the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data of oral therapies and biologics utilized for moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. The findings from the literature search were organized into two sections: oral therapies and biologics. The pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic parameters in healthy patients, patients with psoriasis, and special populations are discussed in each section. The oral therapies described in this review include methotrexate, cyclosporine, apremilast, tofacitinib, and deucravacitinib. Biologics include tumor necrosis factor-alpha inhibitors, interleukin-17 inhibitors, ustekinumab, and interleukin-23 inhibitors. Clinical considerations for these therapies include drug toxicities, dosing frequency, and anti-drug antibodies. Methotrexate and cyclosporine have a risk for hepatoxicity and renal impairment, respectively. Moreover, drugs metabolized via cytochrome P450, including tofacitinib and apremilast have decreased clearance in patients with psoriasis, requiring dose adjustments. Patients treated with therapies such as adalimumab can develop anti-drug antibodies that reduce the long-term efficacy of the drug. Additionally, overweight patients benefit from more frequent dosing to achieve better psoriasis clearance.

Abstract
Scalp psoriasis is a common manifestation of psoriasis that significantly impacts a patient's quality of life. About 80% of cases of psoriasis involve the scalp, making it the most frequently affected area of the body. The treatment of scalp psoriasis is particularly crucial because of its hard-to-treat nature and substantial adverse impacts on overall well-being. Along with the physical symptoms of discomfort and itching, psoriasis, especially when it affects the scalp, can cause severe psychological damage. Treating scalp psoriasis can be challenging due to its location and associated symptoms, such as scaling and pruritus, which is why various drugs have become widely used for refractory cases. Topical treatments like corticosteroids and vitamin D analogs manage scalp psoriasis by reducing inflammation and regulating skin cell growth. Tar-based shampoos, salicylic acid solutions, and moisturizers control scaling. Phototherapy with UVB light reduces inflammation. Severe cases may require systemic medications such as oral retinoids and immunosuppressants. While various therapies are accessible for scalp psoriasis, concerns arise due to their limited advantages and the absence of controlled studies assessing their effectiveness. Considering these challenges, there is a clear demand for innovative approaches to address this condition effectively. Recent advancements in topical therapies, phototherapy, systemic agents, and complementary therapies have shown promising results in managing scalp psoriasis. Also, the advent of biologics, specifically anti-IL-17 and anti-IL-23 drugs for scalp psoriasis, has seen significant improvements. The review highlights the lack of well-tolerated and effective treatments for scalp psoriasis and underscores the importance of further research in this area. The objective of this review is to clarify the different treatment options currently available or being investigated in clinical trials for managing scalp psoriasis.

Abstract
Although psoriasis is a multi-organ disease, it is usually managed as a skin disease, ignoring its associated serious comorbidities. This meta-analysis aimed to investigate the relationship between psoriasis, dyslipidemia, and obesity. Two authors independently searched three databases (PubMed, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), The Cochrane Library, and Google Scholar). The search was set for articles published in the English language during the period from January 2013 to August 2023. The keywords "psoriasis", "hypercholesterolemia", "dyslipidemia", "low-density lipoproteins", "high body mass index", and "obesity", were used. Out of the 145 full texts reviewed, only seven studies fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria (773,761 participants and 196,593 events). Psoriasis was associated with dyslipidemia and obesity (odds ratio (OR)=1.63, 95% CI: 1.42-1.88 and OR=1.70, 95% CI: 1.43-2.02), respectively, with significant heterogeneity (98% and 97%, respectively). Dyslipidemia and obesity were significant psoriasis comorbidities; a broader approach, viewing psoriasis as a multi-organ disease, is recommended for optimal treatment and outcomes.

Abstract
Psoriasis is a multifaceted inflammatory condition with systemic implications, impacting not only the skin but also various organs and overall health. It is associated with mood disorders, malignancy, infections, and components of metabolic syndrome, including diabetes, atherogenic dyslipidemia, and obesity. The coexistence of psoriasis with obesity poses additional challenges, as obesity worsens psoriasis severity and reduces treatment effectiveness. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to further understand the associations between psoriasis, dyslipidemia, and obesity. Our systematic review of six studies revealed significant links between psoriasis and both dyslipidemia and obesity. Individuals with psoriasis exhibited a 1.40-fold higher likelihood of dyslipidemia (odds ratio (OR) 1.40, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.24-1.58) and a 1.37-fold higher likelihood of obesity (OR 1.37, 95% CI 1.23-1.53) compared to those without psoriasis. These findings emphasize the systemic nature of psoriasis and its implications for metabolic health. In conclusion, this review underscores the importance of holistic management for psoriasis patients. Further research is warranted to explore underlying mechanisms and develop targeted therapeutic strategies. These findings contribute valuable insights to promote the overall well-being of individuals with psoriasis.

Abstract
Individual variability in drug response (IVDR) can be a major cause of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and prolonged therapy, resulting in a substantial health and economic burden. Despite extensive research in pharmacogenomics regarding the impact of individual genetic background on pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD), genetic diversity explains only a limited proportion of IVDR. The role of gut microbiota, also known as the second genome, and its metabolites in modulating therapeutic outcomes in human diseases have been highlighted by recent studies. Consequently, the burgeoning field of pharmacomicrobiomics aims to explore the correlation between microbiota variation and IVDR or ADRs. This review presents an up-to-date overview of the intricate interactions between gut microbiota and classical therapeutic agents for human systemic diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), endocrine diseases, and others. We summarise how microbiota, directly and indirectly, modify the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) of drugs. Conversely, drugs can also modulate the composition and function of gut microbiota, leading to changes in microbial metabolism and immune response. We also discuss the practical challenges, strategies, and opportunities in this field, emphasizing the critical need to develop an innovative approach to multi-omics, integrate various data types, including human and microbiota genomic data, as well as translate lab data into clinical practice. To sum up, pharmacomicrobiomics represents a promising avenue to address IVDR and improve patient outcomes, and further research in this field is imperative to unlock its full potential for precision medicine.

Abstract
Psoriasis affects approximately 0.3% of the Japanese population. Recently, various effective systemic drugs have become available, and the continuation of a given treatment has become critical because of the chronic nature of psoriasis. Factors affecting drug survival (the time until treatment discontinuation) in psoriasis treatment include efficacy, safety, ease of use, and patient preference. In the present study, the authors retrospectively surveyed a multifacility patient registry to determine the real-world evidence of the survival rate of systemic interventions for psoriasis treatment. Patients with psoriasis who visited 20 facilities in the Western Japan area between January 2019 and May 2020 and gave written consent were registered as study participants, and their medical history of systemic interventions for psoriasis (starting from 2010) was retrospectively collected and analyzed. The drugs investigated were adalimumab, infliximab, ustekinumab, secukinumab, ixekizumab, brodalumab, guselkumab, risankizumab, cyclosporine, and apremilast. When drugs were discontinued, the reasons were also recorded. A total of 1003 patients with psoriasis including 268 with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) were enrolled. In biologics, more recently released drugs such as interleukin 17 inhibitors showed a numerically higher survival rate in the overall (post-2010) analysis. However, in the subset of patients who began treatment after 2017, the difference in the survival rate among the drugs was smaller. The reasons for discontinuing drugs varied, but a loss of efficacy against dermatological or joint symptoms were relatively frequently seen with some biologics and cyclosporine. The stratification of drug survival rates based on patient characteristics such as bio-naive or experienced, normal weight or obese, and with or without PsA, revealed that bio-experienced, obese, and PsA groups had poorer survival rates for most drugs. No notable safety issues were identified in this study. Overall, the present study revealed that the biologics show differences in their tendency to develop a loss of efficacy, and the factors that negatively impact the survival rate of biologics include the previous use of biologics, obesity, and PsA.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Different chemical toxicants or natural toxins can damage human health through various routes such as air, water, fruits, foods, and vegetables. PURPOSE Herbal medicines may be safe and selective for the prevention of toxic agents due to their active ingredients and various pharmacological properties. According to the beneficial properties of pomegranate, this paper summarized the protective effects of this plant against toxic substances. STUDY DESIGN In this review, we focused on the findings of in vivo and in vitro studies of the protective effects of pomegranate (Punica granatum) and its active components including ellagic acid and punicalagin, against natural and chemical toxic agents. METHODS We collected articles from the following databases or search engines such as Web of Sciences, Google Scholar, Pubmed and Scopus without a time limit until the end of September 2022. RESULTS P. granatum and its constituents have shown protective effects against natural toxins such as aflatoxins, and endotoxins as well as chemical toxicants for instance arsenic, diazinon, and carbon tetrachloride. The protective effects of these compounds are related to different mechanisms such as the prevention of oxidative stress, and reduction of inflammatory mediators including tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2) and nuclear factor ĸB (NF-ĸB) as well as the modulation of apoptosis, mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathways and improvement of liver or cardiac function via regulation of enzymes. CONCLUSION In this review, different in vitro and in vivo studies have shown that P. granatum and its active constituents have protective effects against natural and chemical toxic agents via different mechanisms. There are no clinical trials on the protective effects of P. granatum against toxic agents.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disease that can drastically affect a patient's quality-of-life and is associated with multiple comorbid conditions. The most common form of psoriasis is plaque psoriasis, commonly presenting as sharply demarcated, erythematous plaques with overlying silvery scale on the trunk, extensor surfaces, limbs, and scalp. Although initially limited to oral therapies, the choices in systemic therapies for moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis have evolved with biologic immunotherapies being the main focus. AREAS COVERED In this review, we describe the IL-23/Th17 axis and IL-23 inhibitors as targets for a growing family of biologics. This family includes the FDA-approved medications ustekinumab, guselkumab, tildrakizumab, and risankizumab. We will review the safety and efficacy of these medications throughout various Phase 1,2, and 3, trials for moderate-to-severe psoriasis. A literature search of PubMed was utilized for the following terms: 'psoriasis and IL-23,' 'ustekinumab,' 'guselkumab,' 'tildrakizumab,' and 'risankizumab.' We also searched for clinical trials involving IL-23 inhibitors registered at ClinicalTrials.gov. EXPERT OPINION Anti-IL 23 therapy, especially anti-p19 monoclonal antibodies, should be considered first-line therapy for moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis due to their efficacy and relative safety. More research is required to expand the scope of anti-p19 therapy to pediatric populations and additional indications such as psoriatic arthritis.

Abstract
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects up to 1 in 20 people worldwide. A patient's quality of life and health can be drastically affected by psoriasis. The number of therapies for patients with moderate to severe psoriasis has steadily grown over the past two decades, with biologic immunotherapies being the primary agents developed. However, new small-molecule oral therapies have lagged in development. Deucravacitinib is an oral small molecule that inhibits the activity of TYK2, a member of the JAK family. Deucravacitinib works by allosterically inhibiting TYK2, increasing the specificity of this agent for TYK2 rather than other members of this kinase family. Deucravacitinib has demonstrated safety and efficacy in moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in clinical trial development, with >50% of patients on deucravacitinib 6 mg daily achieving ≥75% reduction in Psoriasis Area and Severity Index score from baseline at 16 weeks versus 9–13% on placebo and 35–41% on apremilast 30 mg twice daily in phase III clinical trials.

Abstract
Psoriasis is an immune-mediated disease, with the interleukin (IL)-23/IL-17 axis currently considered its main pathogenic pathway. Tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) is responsible for mediating immune signalling of IL-12, IL-23 and type I interferons, without interfering with other critical systemic functions as other JAK proteins do. This article aims to review the current knowledge on deucravacitinib, a new oral drug that selectively inhibits TYK2, granting it a low risk of off-target effects. After good efficacy and safety results in a phase II, placebo-controlled trial, two phase III, 52-week trials evaluated deucravacitinib 6 mg against placebo and apremilast—an active comparator. POETYK PSO-1 and PSO-2 involved 1688 patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis. After 16 weeks, in both studies, over 50% of patients treated with deucravacitinib reached PASI75, which was significantly superior to placebo and apremilast. In POETYK PSO-1, these results improved until week 24 and were maintained through week 52, with over 65% of patients achieving PASI75 at this point. A reduction in signs and symptoms was also reported by patients, with greater impact on itch. Deucravacitinib was well tolerated and safe. There were no reports of serious infections, thromboembolic events, or laboratory abnormalities, which are a concern among other JAK inhibitors. Persistent efficacy and consistent safety profiles were reported for up to 2 years. Despite advances in the treatment of psoriasis, namely among biologic agents, an oral, effective and safe new drug can bring several advantages to prescribers and patients. Further investigation is required to understand where to place deucravacitinib among current psoriasis treatment options.

Abstract
Psoriasis is a chronic systemic inflammatory disease. Due to systemic inflammation, it is associated with many comorbidities. Among them, cardiovascular diseases represent the most common causes of morbidity and mortality in this population. Therefore, physicians treating patients with psoriasis should keep in mind that, as important as the treatment of psoriasis, awareness of cardiovascular risk deserves additional attention. Thus, in parallel with psoriasis treatment, a cardiovascular risk assessment must also be performed and addressed accordingly. In addition to encouraging non-pharmacologic strategies for a healthy lifestyle, physicians should be familiar with different pharmacologic options that can target psoriasis and reduce cardiovascular risk. In the present article, we present the pathophysiological mechanisms of the psoriasis and cardiometabolic interplay, our view on the interaction of psoriasis and cardiovascular disease, review the atherosclerotic effect of therapeutic options used in psoriasis, and vice versa, i.e., what the effect of medications used in the prevention of atherosclerosis could be on psoriasis.

Abstract
Atopic dermatitis is a chronic recurring pruritic inflammatory skin disease manifested by increased pro-inflammatory mediators which lead to dry, thickened, cracked, scaly skin. The current treatment options for atopic dermatitis management comprise drawbacks and leave unmet effective clinical needs. So, the approach for repurposing existing drugs for atopic dermatitis management may potentially overcome these unmet needs. Diseases that share the common pathophysiological pathways with atopic dermatitis can serve as a foundation for the repurposing of drugs. Drugs used in the management of cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, and other immune-mediated diseases such as psoriasis are under investigation to know the potential in atopic dermatitis management by utilizing repurposing strategies for a novel therapeutic indication. This review mainly envisages the probable repurposing of drugs for the management of atopic dermatitis disease; the barriers and regulatory aspects involved in the repurposing of existing drugs.

Abstract
Psoriasis, a complex inflammatory autoimmune skin disorder that affects 2–3% of the global population, is thought to be genetically predetermined and induced by environmental and immunological factors. In the past decades, basic and clinical studies have significantly expanded knowledge on the molecular, cellular, and immunological mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of psoriasis. Based on these pathogenic mechanisms, the current disease model emphasizes the role of aberrant Th1 and Th17 responses. Th1 and Th17 immune responses are regulated by a complex network of different cytokines, including TNF-α, IL-17, and IL-23; signal transduction pathways downstream to the cytokine receptors; and various activated transcription factors, including NF-κB, interferon regulatory factors (IRFs), and signal transducer and activator of transcriptions (STATs). The biologics developed to specifically target the cytokines have achieved a better efficacy and safety for the systemic management of psoriasis compared with traditional treatments. Nevertheless, the current therapeutics can only alleviate the symptoms; there is still no cure for psoriasis. Therefore, the development of more effective, safe, and affordable therapeutics for psoriasis is important. In this review, we discussed the current trend of therapeutic development for psoriasis based on the recent discoveries in the immune modulation of the inflammatory response in psoriasis.

Abstract
Excessive body weight and some concomitant diseases, such as psoriasis, accompany women treated due to infertility by intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). This study is aimed to assess effect of obesity and psoriasis on quality of egg cells, embryos, course of pregnancy, and state of a newborn after treatment with ICSI. A total of 140 women were included into the study (110 healthy women and 30 with psoriasis). Among healthy women, BMI negatively correlated with total recovery rate, total oocyte score, blastocyst formation rate (BFR) and amount and quality of blastocysts (r < 0, p < 0.001). The relationships were similar in psoriasis, however apart from average blastocyst quality (p = 0.17) and BFR (p = 0.352). In healthy patients, BMI negatively correlated with gestational age at delivery (r = −0.444, p = 0.010) and APGAR (r = −0.481, p = 0.005). An excess of adipose tissue exerts an unfavourable effect on female reproductive functions, especially with a simultaneous burden of psoriasis. Excessive body weight is conducive to development of gestational diabetes and shortens the duration of pregnancy. The burden of psoriasis in combination with excessive body weight has an impact on the risk of occurrence of intrauterine growth restriction of foetus. Overweight and obesity negatively affect the state of a newborn, measured using APGAR scale.

Abstract
Cyclosporine A (CYA) belongs to calcineurin inhibitor family, which has the ability to selectively suppress T cells. Owing to its immune-modulatory effects, it had been in use for graft vs host diseases and organ transplant rejection for many years, but in dermatology, it was first approved for use in 1997 in the treatment of psoriasis. Other off-label indications for skin diseases include atopic dermatitis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, lichen planus, pyoderma gangrenosum, alopecia areata, granuloma annulare, and several others. A thorough search of Medline-PubMed database, Google Scholar, and Uptodate was performed for evidence-based and peer-reviewed information. We have summarized the use of cyclosporine in dermatological diseases with respect to its, dosage, safety considerations, and monitoring guidelines. Furthermore, brief overview of its pharmacology, drug interactions, use in pregnancy, and lactation has been discussed. Despite of its common adverse effects like nephrotoxicity and hypertension, cyclosporine offers good safety profile when used in skin diseases. Decision to start cyclosporine therapy is individualized and it should be based on analysis of risk vs benefit. Nevertheless, CYA is preferred over other immunosuppressants in dermatology because of early therapeutic response and less myelosupression. This article offers concise but detailed summary of this beneficial immune-suppressive agent in skin diseases.

Abstract
Bone marrow transplants (BMT) are an established therapeutic strategy for patients with severe aplastic anemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, acute myeloid leukemia or chronic myeloid leukemia. However, the successful application of BMT is limited by graft-vs.-host disease (GVHD). Ciclosporin has been widely used for treating GVHD in pediatric patients who underwent BMT. The present study aimed to optimize the dosage of ciclosporin for safety and effectiveness based on population pharmacokinetics. A non-linear mixed-effects model was used to analyze the clinical data of pediatric patients who underwent BMT between September 2016 and September 2019 at the Children's Hospital of Fudan University. Monte Carlo simulations were used to identify the optimal dose of ciclosporin. The final population pharmacokinetic model indicated that body weight and days post-transplant influenced the clearance of ciclosporin in pediatric patients who underwent BMT. The present study indicated that the optimal initial dose of ciclosporin for pediatric patients weighing 5-30 kg who underwent BMT was 6 mg/kg/day split into 2 doses.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The prevalence of psoriasis among patients presenting human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)infection is the same as in the general population, but the disease is more severe and refractory, and management is more complex. The aim of this survey was to assess the practices of French dermatologists concerning both screening for HIV in psoriasis patients and therapeutic management and follow-up of psoriasis patients with HIV. PATIENTS AND METHODS An anonymous national survey of practices was conducted by means of a questionnaire emailed to dermatologists in hospital in private practice in France between March and June 2017. RESULTS The questionnaire was completed by 262 dermatologists. They indicated that they carried out screening for HIV in psoriasis patients presenting risk factors (79.4%), prior to biotherapy (63.4%) or different systemic treatments other than retinoids (53.1%), if the psoriasis was severe (45.8%), or in the event of worsening (37.8%). 28.7% of practitioners surveyed were in fact treating patients with psoriasis and HIV, with a mean 3.1 patients being followed up. All practitioners prescribe systemic treatment, other than cyclosporine, but they frequently consult an infectious disease specialist before prescribing these therapies. The most widely used biotherapy was etanercept (65.5% of practitioners). More intensive laboratory follow-up was conducted for these patients in 72.1% of cases. CONCLUSION French dermatologists do not perform routine screening for HIV in psoriasis patients. However, where infection has been identified, their practices are modified accordingly. Therapeutic choices are consistent with the French recommendations. Nevertheless, recommendations appear necessary concerning HIV screening in this population.

Abstract
Background: The management of HIV-positive patients with psoriasis is controversial and limited to individual cases or short series of patients. Objectives: To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of conventional and biologic immunosuppressive drugs in the treatment of patients with psoriasis and concomitant HIV infection. Methods: A retrospective multicenter study was conducted. The study included data from 2008 to 2016. Inclusion criteria were: HIV adult patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis, HIV viral load determinations at baseline and at least after 6 months of treatment, and systemic immunosuppressive treatment for at least 6 months. A descriptive analysis was performed. Results: Twenty-three patients with plaque-type psoriasis and HIV infection (five with AIDS) were included. Median follow-up time was 3.2 years. The main drugs used were etanercept, methotrexate, and ustekinumab. In most cases, viral load and CD4 cell count not only remained stable but also improved throughout the follow-up. Six patients presented severe adverse events during the follow-up, four of them in the AIDS stage. At the end of the follow-up period, 76.5% of the patients had achieved a PASI 75. Conclusion: Biologic drugs, both anti-TNF alpha agents and ustekinumab, seem to have an acceptable safety profile and high effectiveness in HIV-positive patients.

Abstract
Generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) is a rare disease characterized by recurrent fever and systemic flushing accompanied by extensive sterile pustules. The committee of the guidelines was founded as a collaborative project between the Japanese Dermatological Association and the Study Group for Rare Intractable Skin Diseases under the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare Research Project on Overcoming Intractable Diseases. The aim of the guidelines was to provide current information to aid in the treatment of patients with GPP in Japan. Its contents include the diagnostic and severity classification criteria for GPP, its pathogenesis, and recommendations for the treatment of GPP. Since there are few clinical trial data with high levels of evidence for this rare disease, recommendations by the committee are described in the present guidelines.

Abstract
Background No study to date has focused on the changes in laboratory test results and related risk factors in patients with psoriasis treated with prolonged Cyclosporine A (CsA) therapy. Objective The objective of this study was to investigate the changes of laboratory values and related risk factors in patients with psoriasis treated with CsA in a real-world setting. Methods Records of patients with psoriasis treated with CsA at an outpatient clinic were collected, and a Cox proportional hazards regression model was used. Results Of the 128 patients included in this study, 28 patients (21.9%) showed laboratory test abnormalities over a mean medication period of 11.6 months. Older age (hazard ratio [HR], 1.174; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.068~1.370; p=0.007) and pre-existing kidney disease (HR, 0.008; 95% CI, 0~0.205; p=0.001) significantly increased the risk of renal dysfunction. Male sex was the only significant risk factor for liver enzyme elevation (HR, 0.284; 95% CI, 0.081~0.784; p=0.026) and uric acid abnormality (HR, 0.048; 95% CI, 0~0.372; p=0.046). Conclusion This is an in-depth analysis of laboratory changes and related risk factors in patients with psoriasis treated with CsA. Liver is the most commonly affected organ of CsA toxicity. Older age, male sex, and presence of kidney disease were risk factors associated with laboratory abnormality during CsA treatment.

Abstract
Originally coined as "syndrome X" in 1988 by Gerald Reaven (1928), the metabolic syndrome (MetS) encompasses a constellation of risk factors, the coincidence of which amounts to an increased cardiovascular and diabetic risk. Rising numbers of dermatoses are being recognized as cutaneous markers of MetS. Dermatologists should look beyond treating the cutaneous condition and quantify the associated increase in cardiovascular risk. The original dermatosis associated with obesity was acanthosis nigricans-described in 1889 by Paul Gerson Unna (1850-1929) and Sigmund Pollitzer (1859-1937). Over the last 20 years, clear associations between psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and MetS have also emerged. Several studies have shown synergistic improvement in the cutaneous pathology after treatment of components of MetS. This suggests common causalities and is a burgeoning area of research. We review the available evidence about the genetics underlying psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and acanthosis nigricans. Despite the strong clinical associations, the underlying genetic basis for a link to MetS remains unclear.

Abstract
As summarized in the first article in this continuing medical education series, the currently available epidemiologic data suggest that psoriasis may be a risk factor for cardiometabolic disease. Emerging data also suggest associations between psoriasis and other comorbidities beyond psoriatic arthritis, including chronic kidney disease, inflammatory bowel disease, hepatic disease, certain malignancies, infections, and mood disorders. Recognizing the comorbid disease burden of psoriasis is essential for ensuring comprehensive care of patients with psoriasis. The clinical implications of the comorbid diseases that are associated with psoriasis and recommendations for clinical management are reviewed in this article.

Abstract
Background Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disease. In the treatment of psoriasis, cyclosporine is commonly prescribed systemic agents. However, long-term use of cyclosporine is not recommended because of side effects such as nephrotoxicity or hypertension. Objective To ascertain the improved safety of rotational therapy using cyclosporine and methotrexate, we investigated the frequency of abnormal results in laboratory test after long term rotational therapy using cyclosporine and methotrexate. Methods From January 2009 to June 2014, patients who were treated with cyclosporine or methotrexate were enrolled. The clinical data and usage of medications were reviewed. Laboratory tests were conducted before starting the treatment and regularly follow-up. The occurrences of any laboratory abnormalities during the treatments were investigated. Results A total of 21 psoriatic patients were enrolled. The mean of medication period and cumulative dose of cyclosporine and methotrexate were 497.81±512.06 days and 115.68±184.34 g in cyclosporine and 264.19±264.71 days and 448.71±448.63 mg in methotrexate. Laboratory abnormalities were found in total two patients after rotational therapy: two patients (9.5%) in aspartate aminotransferase/alanine aminotransferase and one patient (4.8%) in uric acid. No laboratory abnormalities were found in renal function test. Conclusion We found that the rotational approaches using cyclosporine and methotrexate reduced the possibility of the development of nephrotoxicity. In addition to other advantage such as quick switching from one agent to another, the rotational therapy using cyclosporine and methotrexate can minimize the adverse events during the systemic treatment of chronic plaque psoriasis.

Abstract
Severe, recalcitrant dermatologic conditions often require systemic treatment. Although efficacious, these medications have been associated with wide-ranging adverse reactions. Some are reversible, predictable, and either dose-dependent or treatment length-dependent, while others are unpredictable, irreversible, and potentially fatal. This review examines the neuropsychiatric adverse effects associated with US FDA-approved medications for treatment of the following dermatologic pathologies that typically require systemic therapy: autoimmune dermatoses, acne, psoriasis, and melanoma. A search of the literature was performed, with adverse effects ranging from mild headaches and neuropathy to severe encephalopathies. The medications associated with the most serious reactions were those used to treat psoriasis, especially the older non-biologic medications such as cyclosporine A and methotrexate. Given the importance of these systemic dermatologic therapies in treating severe, recalcitrant conditions, and the wide variety of potentially serious neuropsychiatric adverse effects of these medications, neurologists, psychiatrists, dermatologists, oncologists, and primary care providers must be aware of the potential for these neuropsychiatric adverse reactions to allow for appropriate counseling, management, and medication withdrawal.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Data regarding the use of cyclosporine (CYC) in the treatment of childhood psoriasis is meager. MATERIALS AND METHODS The records of all psoriasis patients aged less than 18 years and treated with systemic CYC at our institute were retrieved. Clinical status of patients was assessed at regular intervals and response to therapy was graded as good (50-75% decrease in PASI) and excellent (>75% decrease). Laboratory investigations to detect CYC-induced toxicity were done at regular intervals. RESULTS There were total 10 children having psoriasis treated with systemic CYC over this period. Indication for the institution of CYC therapy was severe diseases, viz. extensive recalcitrant plaque type psoriasis in four patients, erythroderma in three and generalized pustular psoriasis in one patient. Response to therapy was excellent (>75% decrease in PASI) in all but three patients with psoriatic erythroderma. The mean time to control the disease, i.e. 50% reduction in PASI was 4.2 weeks. Side effects were mild, observed in two children, which included pain abdomen and an increase in serum creatinine over baseline value. CONCLUSIONS CYC is an effective and reasonably safe drug to be used as crisis management therapy in severe childhood psoriasis under an expert supervision and laboratory monitoring.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Psoriasis is a common skin disorder associated with physical, social, psychological and financial burden. Over the past two decades, advances in our understanding of pathogenesis and increased appreciation for the multifaceted burden of psoriasis has led to new treatment development and better patient outcomes. Yet, surveys demonstrate that many psoriasis patients are either undertreated or are dissatisfied with treatment. There are many barriers that need be overcome to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. AREAS COVERED This review covers the current challenges associated with each major psoriasis treatment strategy (topical, phototherapy, oral medications and biologics). It also reviews the challenges associated with the psychosocial aspects of the disease and how they affect treatment outcomes. Patient adherence, inconvenience, high costs, and drug toxicities are all discussed. Then, we review the emerging drug delivery strategies in topical, oral, and biologic therapy. EXPERT OPINION By outlining current treatment challenges and emerging drug delivery strategies, we hope to highlight the deficits in psoriasis treatment and strategies for how to overcome them. Regardless of disease severity, clinicians should use a patient-centered approach. In all cases, we need to balance patients' psychosocial needs, treatment costs, convenience, and effectiveness with patients' preferences in order to optimize treatment outcomes.

Abstract
Psoriasis is a common inflammatory disease with significant comorbidities, whose management can be challenging given the variety of treatment options. It is critical for nurse practitioners, physician assistants, general practitioners, and dermatology trainees to have useful information about the treatment and monitoring of patients with psoriasis. Although certain aspects of care apply to all patients, each therapeutic agent has its own nuances in terms of assessments, dosing, and monitoring. The most appropriate treatment is based not only on disease severity but also on comorbid conditions and concomitant medications. These practitioners are vital in facilitating patient care by thorough understanding of systemic agents, selection criteria, dosing, and recommended monitoring. This article provides high-yield practical pearls on managing patients with moderate to severe psoriasis. It includes case-based discussions illustrating considerations for special populations, such as pregnant women, children, and patients with comorbidities (eg, human immunodeficiency virus infection, hepatitis C, hepatitis B, and history of malignancy).

Abstract
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects primarily the skin and joints, with a worldwide incidence of 2-3%. Fifty percent of patients are women, most still diagnosed during childbearing years. Currently,the estimate is that up to 107 thousand deliveries are performed annually in women with psoriasis, a percentage of them in women with moderate to severe disease. Fetal risks in pregnant women with psoriasis derive both from maternal disease and the medications used to control the illness. The purpose of this review is to study the effect of the main drugs used in the treatment of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis during pregnancy and lactation, with particular focus on disease-modifying anti-rheumatic biological drugs, biological therapies, immunobiologics or biologics.

Abstract
PURPOSE Patients with psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis (PsA) are known to have increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Hypertension, an important risk factor for cardiovascular disease, is highly prevalent in patients with psoriasis and/or PsA. The effects of anti-psoriatic medications - including cyclosporine, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and glucocorticoids - on hypertension remain unclear. We examined whether such medication exposure was associated with hypertension in psoriasis patients. METHODS This population-based, nested case-control study analyzed data from an inception psoriasis cohort identified from Taiwan's National Health Insurance Research Database, 2000-2010. A total of 1530 patients with newly diagnosed hypertension and 4542 age- and gender-matched controls were included in the analysis. Conditional logistic regressions were applied to estimate the effects of drug of interest on hypertension. RESULTS After adjusting for potential confounders, patients with current use of cyclosporine [odds ratio (OR) = 7.13; 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.85-27.49], nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (OR = 2.2; 95% CI 1.95-2.49), or systemic glucocorticoids (OR = 1.42; 95% CI 1.23-1.64) showed an increased risk of hypertension as compared to those not exposed to these drugs. Moreover, an increasing dose or combined use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and glucocorticoids was associated with increased hypertension risk. The risk of hypertension associated with glucocorticoids, or combined use was greatest among patients aged 49 years or less. CONCLUSIONS The use of cyclosporine, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or glucocorticoid was associated with hypertension in patients with psoriasis and/or PsA. These study results inform physicians on the importance of early identification of hypertension during therapy with such medication.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Effective non-invasive techniques to monitor plaque psoriasis progression and treatment are desirable. The aim of the study was to evaluate changes in vascular pattern using videodermatoscopy (VD) and in skin thickness by ultrasound (US), along with clinical observation, during treatment with biologicals. METHODS Forty-two patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis treated with adalimumab, etanercept, or ustekinumab were evaluated. Following the identification of a 'target' plaque at baseline, lesion changes were monitored at 15, 30 and 60 days by clinical observation using a Target Lesion Score (TLS), and by VD and US. RESULTS After 60 days, a significant improvement in all three parameters was observed. In adalimumab-treated patients mean values of TLS, VD, and US were reduced by 83.9%, 73.5%, and 90%, respectively; in etanercept-treated patients by 67.9%, 49.7%, and 79.3%; in ustekinumab-treated patients by 80.9%, 66.4%, and 80.1%. Skin thickness was the first parameter to improve. Vascular improvement was slower compared to clinical and US responses. CONCLUSION VD and US may be useful to monitor psoriasis treatment. Further investigations are warranted to assess if the persistence of an altered vascular pattern despite clinical and US normalization, as observed in 22% of patients, may influence disease progression and/or correlate with rate and severity degree of relapse.

Abstract
The effects of conventional systemic therapies for psoriasis on pregnancy outcomes, lactation, male fertility and mutagenicity are common concerns in the clinical setting. There is relatively little evidence to guide clinician and patient. In this study, we review the safety profile of the commonly used conventional systemic therapies used for psoriasis in individuals of reproductive potential. Safety data are derived from large-scale registries, adverse-event reporting databases, clinical trials and case reports. We assess the effect of each therapy on adverse pregnancy outcomes, including congenital malformations, and lactation with maternal administration. We also assess the effect of the therapies on male fertility and potential mutagenicity with paternal administration. We provide applicable guidance to inform clinician and patient before and after conception.

Abstract
Ciclosporin (cyclosporine) is an immunosuppressive drug first approved for use in organ transplantation to prevent rejection. Ciclosporin is also known to be used for the treatment of psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and inflammatory bowel disease, among other indications. While it is recommended that all medications that are not absolutely necessary should be avoided during pregnancy, this may not be an option for many women whose quality of life is significantly impacted without treatment, or for those who must continue immunosuppressive therapy to avoid organ rejection. The purpose of this review is to provide a comprehensive report from the literature of ciclosporin exposure during pregnancy. PubMed, MEDLINE and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews were searched for English-language articles published from 1970 to 2012 that included reports of pregnant women treated at any time during pregnancy with ciclosporin. On an initial search, it was evident that much of the available information is limited to pregnancy after transplant, which suggests that ciclosporin use during pregnancy appears to be associated with premature delivery and low birthweight infants. Comorbidities such as hypertension, pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes mellitus are also reported at higher incidences than the general population. Medical literature concerning women with autoimmune disorders exposed to ciclosporin during pregnancy are currently limited to case reports and registry data, and, as such, it is difficult to determine if any risks associated with ciclosporin therapy during pregnancy are due to exposure to the drug alone or to pre-existing maternal comorbidities. The literature suggests that ciclosporin therapy during pregnancy should be carefully considered by the treating physician, but may be a safe alternative for patients with autoimmune disease refractory to conventional treatment. Continued monitoring of this patient population remains a key component to understanding the risk factors associated with ciclosporin exposure during pregnancy.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Individuals with psoriasis are often unsatisfied with traditional medical treatments and may be more likely to use dietary supplements as alternative or complementary treatment. Limited data is available on the prevalence of dietary supplement use amongst individuals with psoriasis in the general population. The aim was to utilize a representative sample of the United States to estimate the prevalence of dietary supplement use among adults self-reporting psoriasis. DESIGN AND SETTING Cross-sectional data analysis from the 2009 to 2010 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Dietary supplementation over the past 30 days was ascertained and population weights were used to obtain estimates representative of the general population. Logistic regression was used to determine whether psoriasis was associated with higher odds of supplement use. RESULTS This study consisted of 6211 participants aged ≥20 years (representing 219 million Americans). Among the 184 participants reporting psoriasis (representing 6.9 million Americans), 53% reported using at least one dietary supplement, which was not different from participants without psoriasis (49.5%, P=0.416). Participants with psoriasis did not have higher odds of supplement use after adjusting for covariates. Multivitamin/mineral supplements were the most common dietary supplements used by participants with psoriasis (29.6%), and the most common reasons for taking them were to maintain and improve health. Only 12 supplements taken by participants with psoriasis were intended to improve skin health. CONCLUSIONS Dietary supplementation over the past 30 days was reported by half of adults with psoriasis amongst the United States general population. Few individuals with psoriasis took dietary supplements specifically to improve skin health.

Abstract
Imaging techniques have only recently been utilized in combination with clinical observation to objectively quantify psoriasis severity and evaluate therapeutic response. This study evaluated the sensitivity of videodermatoscopy (VD) and ultrasound (US) imaging to assess the therapeutic effect of cyclosporine (Cs) in patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis. Twenty patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis were divided into two groups (A and B) based on PASI score. Group A (PASI >16) was treated with 5 mg/Kg/day Cs for 4 weeks and another 4 weeks with 3 mg/Kg/day Cs. Group B (PASI 1016) received 3 mg/Kg/day Cs for 8 weeks. A “target” plaque was selected for each subject and evaluated using a Target Lesion Score (TLS) for erythema, scaling and degree of infiltration, in addition to VD and US at baseline, 2, 4 and 8 weeks. At the end of the study, improvement rate was quicker in group A vs group B after 8 weeks of Cs therapy. All three parameters (TLS, VD and US) strongly correlated with one another. Skin thickness was the first parameter that improved, followed by TLS. In contrast, improvement in VD was delayed. Normalization rate of vascular pattern (assessed by VD) was low in both groups but higher in group A vs group B (46% vs 22%), despite virtually complete normalization by clinical and US assessment. In conclusion, while both TLS and US can be utilized in the evaluation of therapeutic efficacy in patients with plaque psoriasis, VD can provide information on vascular response to treatment, which may likely affect the duration of therapy and the relapse rates.

Abstract
Cyclosporine A (CsA) is one of the most effective systemic drugs available for the treatment of psoriasis, as evidenced by the results of several randomized studies and by a prolonged experience in dermatological setting. In clinical practice, CsA is usually used for the induction of psoriasis remission at a daily dose included in the range of 2.5–5 mg/kg and with intermittent short-term regimens, lasting on average 3–6 months. The magnitude and rapidity of response are dose dependent, as well as the risk of development of adverse events. Therefore, the dose should be tailored to patient's needs and general characteristics and adjusted during the treatment course according to both the efficacy and tolerability. Some studies support the feasibility of pulse administration of CsA for a few days per week for both the induction and the maintenance of response in psoriasis patients. This paper will review the data on CsA regimens for plaque-type psoriasis and will focus the attention on dose, treatment duration, novel schedules, and role in combination therapies, including the association with biologicals.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Although long-term cyclosporine administration may induce toxic effects, it may be the only option for the treatment of severe psoriasis. The objective of the present study was to retrospectively evaluate efficacy and safety of long-term cyclosporine treatment in a cohort of patients affected with moderate to severe psoriasis, recalcitrant or unresponsive to other treatments. Possible risk factors predicting an intolerance to cyclosporine were also investigated. MATERIALS AND METHODS Data were collected on psoriatic patients treated with cyclosporine for at least six months at our Psoriasis Outpatient Unit between January 2005 and September 2010. The primary measure for clinical efficacy was the PASI 75 response. Cyclosporine safety was assessed through the review of both laboratory tests and the adverse events registered during the treatment. RESULTS Twenty patients affected with plaque or erythrodermic psoriasis were evaluated. At Week 16, the PASI 75 response was achieved by 85% of patients. Adverse events occurred in eight patients (40%): four experienced an increase in serum creatinine levels to more than 30% of their pre-treatment values and four developed hypertension. Among these patients, five discontinued cyclosporine. Side effects resolved after stopping treatment. CONCLUSIONS Our findings suggest that long-term cyclosporine regimen can be justified in severe psoriasis not responsive to other treatments. When cyclosporine administration is required, obesity, pre-treatment controlled hypertension, increased age (>70 years), and metabolic syndrome should be taken into consideration, as a significant correlation with occurrence of cyclosporine-induced side effects has been found.
