Abstract
BACKGROUND Renal involvement is not uncommon in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) and presents in various forms, particularly progressing to scleroderma renal crisis (SRC), which is associated with poor prognosis. Therefore, understanding the research trends in this field is critical for advancing clinical management and therapeutic strategies. METHODS A bibliometric analysis was conducted using the Web of Science Core Collection, examining publications related to SSc and renal involvement from January 2000 to November 2024. We analyzed publication trends, key contributors, institutions, and countries. RESULTS A total of 1,339 publications were identified in the field of SSc and renal involvement, demonstrating an upward trend in publication volume from 2000 to 2024. These articles have been cited a total of 61,234 times, with the majority of contributions coming from the United States, Italy, and East Asian countries. The University of Michigan and University College London were particularly prominent in terms of both publication volume and collaboration networks. Keyword analysis revealed a shift in research focus, with increasing attention on clinical aspects, pathophysiological mechanisms, and vascular complications. CONCLUSIONS This study provides a comprehensive overview of the research landscape on SSc with renal involvement, highlighting the key contributors and emerging trends.

Abstract
CONTEXT The rehabilitation of disabled athletes is a critical area of research aimed at improving athletes' performance and well-being. This bibliometric analysis examines scientific studies related to the rehabilitation of disabled athletes, focusing on trends, authors, publications and interdisciplinary collaborations. OBJECTIVE This study seeks to provide quantitative and qualitative insights into the trends, interdisciplinary collaborations, and significant contributions in the rehabilitation of disabled athletes. DESIGN Bibliometric analysis of 660 scientific publications related to the rehabilitation of disabled athletes, from 1975 to 2023. SETTING The analysis reveals that research in this field is multidisciplinary, encompassing sports, medicine, rehabilitation and education. Studies focused on disabled athletes and their rehabilitation. INTERVENTION Rehabilitation plays a vital role in disabled athletes' lives, aiding in injury recovery and enhancing overall health and performance. RESULTS The United States leads in research output. Collaborative networks among authors are evident, indicating joint research efforts. Identification of research trends, prominent authors Bartosz Molik and Natalia Morgulec-Adamowicz), collaborative networks and common keywords (e.g., adaptive sports, disability, rehabilitation). Keywords such as adaptive sports, disability and rehabilitation are frequently mentioned, reflecting the focus of research. CONCLUSIONS The rehabilitation of disabled athletes is a growing field with significant contributions from researchers worldwide. Collaborative efforts and interdisciplinary approaches are essential for advancing knowledge and improving the lives of disabled athletes.

Abstract
This bibliometric analysis aimed to define important topics and developments across wide awake local anaesthesia no tourniquet (WALANT) hand surgery, an innovative ambulatory technique that gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic. Articles were searched and screened using the Web of Science core collection database. VOSviewer 1.6.18 and bibliometrix were used for analysis. In the initial search 419 articles were found. Between 1990 and 2023, 333 writers contributed to the top 100 most-cited articles published. The country with the highest number of published articles (20%) was Canada, followed by the USA (18%) and China (12%). Most articles were published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (15%), Hand Clinics (14%) and the European and American volumes of The Journal of Hand Surgery (9% each). Eighty-two percent of articles had a Level of Evidence of III or V. High-quality randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews of WALANT are needed to broaden and enhance clinical practice and research.Level of evidence: V.

Abstract
Objective Pulmonary metastasis frequently complicates osteosarcoma, making the investigation of its mechanisms and therapeutic strategies a focal point in both clinical medicine and biosciences. The explosive growth of the relevant literature has still not been systematically sorted out and summarized. Methods Bibliometric methods were used in this study, Literature was retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection, SCOPUS, and PubMed up until July 1, 2024. Bibliometric indicators were analyzed and research trends and hotspots in the field visualized using the Bibliometrix package, VOSviewer 1.6.19 and Citespace 6.3.R1 software. Results A total of 1148 publications were reviewed, revealing that over the past five decades, the cumulative number of publications on pulmonary metastasis of osteosarcoma has gradually increased. China leads in the number of published papers, while the United States exhibits the most collaborative relationships with other countries. Italy is noted for the highest quality of research. Sun Yat-sen University is the most prolific institution, and the most productive author is Eugenie S. Kleinerman from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. "Cancer" is the journal with the most publications, and Zhou Yan's 2020 paper received the highest local citations. Keywords such as "angiogenesis," "tumor microenvironment," and "surgery" appeared frequently, suggesting these topics are current research hotspots. Conclusion "Immunotherapy", "survival", "chemotherapy", "prognosis", "biomarkers", "metastasectomy", "microRNA", "angiogenesis", "tumor microenvironment", and "surgery" define key research areas. Current hot topics include tumor-associated macrophages and the tumor microenvironment, which may hold the key to future therapeutic breakthroughs.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aims to conduct a scientometric analysis on the research history and emerging trends of the pathogenesis of preeclampsia using CiteSpace and VOSviewer software. The goal is to provide guidance for future research and clinical practice. METHODS The core collection database of Web of Science was searched for research literature on the mechanism of preeclampsia from January 1980 to March 2024. CiteSpace6. 1. R6, 5. 7. R5 (64-bit), and VOSviewer1.6.19 software were used for visual analysis, including networks of keywords, countries, authors, institutions, funds, and fields. RESULTS A total of 4989 documents were analyzed in this study. The number of published articles has shown a consistent increase from 1990 to 2022, indicating that this topic remains a significant area of research. The countries, institutions, authors, journals, and fields that contributed the most articles include the USA, University of Mississippi, Lamarca, Babbette, Placenta, and the field of OBSTETRICS and GYNECOLOGY. Keyword clustering and emergence analysis identified 7 clusters, while clustering and emergence analysis of cited documents identified 14 clusters. These analyses revealed that current research on the mechanism of preeclampsia primarily focuses on placental ischemia and hypoxia, inflammatory response and immune disorders, angiogenic factor imbalance, abnormal epigenetic modifications, and intestinal flora imbalance. CONCLUSIONS Research on the mechanisms of preeclampsia is rapidly advancing. Given the presence of multiple mechanisms and pathways, further collaborative research is essential to guide clinical treatment effectively and enhance maternal and child outcomes.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Programmed cell death (PCD) plays a crucial role in oral cancer pathogenesis and treatment. However, a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the global research landscape in this field has not been conducted. This study aims to analyze the evolution and current trends of PCD research in oral cancer from 2000 to 2024. METHODS Publications were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database using relevant keywords related to oral cancer and PCD. VOSviewer 1.6.20 and CiteSpace 6.1R6 software were employed to conduct bibliometric analysis, including publication trends, citation analysis, co-authorship networks, keyword co-occurrence, and research hotspots. The time span was set from January 2000 to December 2024. RESULTS A total of 963 publications were identified and analyzed. The annual publication output showed a steady increase, with a significant growth rate after 2010, dividing the study period into three distinct phases. The most productive countries were China (58.42%), South Korea (12.27%), and Japan (10.04%), with China Medical University and Kaohsiung Medical University being the leading institutions. Research hotspots evolved from traditional apoptosis studies to emerging forms of PCD such as autophagy, ferroptosis, and pyroptosis. Keyword analysis revealed three major research clusters: basic molecular mechanisms (centered around ROS and oxidative stress), clinical aspects (including prognosis and cell proliferation), and cell death pathways. Citation burst analysis identified emerging trends in targeting multiple PCD pathways simultaneously for oral cancer therapy, with special focus on treatment resistance and survival. CONCLUSION This bibliometric analysis provides a comprehensive overview of global research trends in PCD and oral cancer over the past two decades. The findings highlight the shift from basic mechanistic studies focusing on apoptosis to more diverse PCD pathways and translational research. Emerging research directions include the exploration of synergistic mechanisms among multiple PCD pathways, development of AI-based personalized treatment plans, investigation of microenvironment regulation of PCD, and application of novel drug delivery systems. These trends demonstrate the field's evolution toward more integrated, personalized approaches in oral cancer treatment. This study offers valuable insights for researchers and funding agencies to identify research gaps and potential collaboration opportunities in this rapidly developing field.

Abstract
Along with discussing bibliometric analyses' limitations and potential biases, this paper addresses the growing need for comprehensive guidelines in evaluating bibliometric research by providing systematic frameworks for both peer reviewers and readers. While numerous publications provide guidance on implementing bibliometric methods, there is a notable lack of frameworks for assessing such research, particularly regarding performance analysis and science mapping. Drawing from an extensive review of bibliometric practices and methodological literature, this paper develops structured evaluation frameworks that address the complexity of modern bibliometric analysis, introducing the VALOR framework (Verification, Alignment, Logging, Overview, Reproducibility) for assessing multi-source bibliometric studies. The paper's key contributions include comprehensive guidelines for evaluating data selection, cleaning, and analysis processes; specific criteria for assessing conceptual, intellectual, and social structure analyses; and practical guidance for integrating performance analysis with science mapping results. By providing structured frameworks for reviewers and practical guidelines for readers to interpret and apply bibliometric insights, this work enhances the rigor of bibliometric research evaluation while supporting more effective peer review processes and research planning. The paper also discusses potential areas for further development, including the integration of qualitative analysis with bibliometric data and the advancement of field-normalized metrics, ultimately aiming to support authors, reviewers, and readers in navigating the complexities of bibliometrics and enhancing the meaningfulness of bibliometric research.

Abstract
Background This study conducted a novel systematic bibliometric and visualization analysis of global literature on immunotherapy for endometrial cancer (EC) to explore dynamic trends, research hotspots, and emerging topics, providing valuable references for future research. Methods Articles and reviews on EC immunotherapy published between 2012 and August 2024 were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC). Bibliometric tools, CiteSpace and VOSviewer, were used to analyze clustering patterns and research dynamics. Results A total of 861 articles were contributed by 5,331 authors from 1,392 institutions across 58 countries or regions, involving 1,823 keywords. China demonstrated outstanding performance in this field, contributing over 40% of the total publications and ranking first in publication volume. However, the total citation counts for publications from China lags that of the United States, highlighting the latter's leading position and areas for further improvement in China's research efforts. The University of Texas Medical Anderson Cancer Center and Nanjing Medical University were the two institutions with the highest number of publications. In terms of authorship, research teams led by Bosse, Tjalling, and Creutzberg, Carien L made significant contributions to advancing the field. Among individual publications, the work by Talhouk et al. achieved the highest average annual citation count of 70.88, demonstrating its profound impact. In terms of journals, Gynecologic Oncology emerged as a pivotal academic platform, publishing numerous articles and achieving the highest co-citation frequency. Additionally, Frontiers in Oncology, Frontiers in Immunology, and Frontiers in Genetics have become some of the most active and rapidly developing journals in recent years. Research hotspots are concentrated on themes such as the "Tumor Immune Microenvironment", "Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors", and "Targeted Therapy". Recent trends and frontier research focus on the combined application of immune checkpoint inhibitors with other therapies, research on the application of nanotechnology in immunotherapy, and the integration of artificial intelligence to enhance precision medicine. Additionally, efforts are increasingly directed toward advancing various immunotherapy strategies from basic research to clinical applications. Conclusions This comprehensive analysis reveals rapid advancements and significant potential in EC immunotherapy. Strengthening international collaboration and addressing barriers in the translation of research to clinical practice will drive further progress in this promising field.

Abstract
Background Despite the widespread interest in overweight/obese children and adolescents, there is a lack of bibliometric research on the factors influencing eating behaviors. Methods Collated and screened research papers published between 2003 and 2023 on eating behaviors in children and adolescents affected by overweight or obesity, searched on January 1, 2024. The primary data, comprising complete records and referenced citations of publications, was extracted from the Web of Science Core Collection. Analysis of data using Bibliometrix of R package, CiteSpace, and VOSviewer. Results A total of 2,142 articles were included. The United States had the most publications in the field and was also the center point for world collaborations. Harvard University had the most affiliated publications, while Luis Moreno was the most prolific author. NUTRIENTS was the most published journal. High-frequency keywords included Children, overweight, physical activity, body mass index, and childhood obesity. Research trends include Epidemiology and Environment factors of obesity; Health risks associated with childhood obesity; Key eating habits and interventions for childhood obesity; Prevention and treatment of childhood and adolescent obesity. Conclusion This research provides a comprehensive overview of global trends and key areas in studying dietary behaviors among overweight/obese children and adolescents. It offers a detailed summary of recent advancements, emphasizing this field's critical principles and practices. By exploring these developments, the study highlights the growing importance of this research within global healthcare and suggests pathways for future research and applications.

Abstract
PURPOSE Prompted by the clinical concern that limited healthcare resources allocation affects physicians' research productivity, this study examines the association between bibliometric indices of ophthalmologic research and national economic indicators in Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries. METHODS The Scimago Journal and Country rank source was searched for research productivity data in ophthalmology among OECD countries between 1996 and 2019. Bibliometric indices included: documents number, number and percent of citable documents, citations number, citations per document, and H-index. The updated economic indicators of each country (gross domestic product [GDP] per capita, health spending as percent of GDP (health expenditure), gross domestic expenditure on research, and development as percent of GDP [GERD]) were collected from the World Bank and the OECD websites. Correlation between economic and bibliometric metrics and multivariate linear regression analyses were performed. RESULTS Among 267,444 documents analyzed, correlation analysis found a strong correlation between health expenditure and H index (r = 0.711, p < 0.001); a moderate correlation between health expenditure and documents number (r = 0.589, p < 0.001), number of citable document (r = 0.593, p < 0.001) and citations number (r = 0.673, p < 0.001); and a moderate correlation between GERD and H index (r = 0.564, p < 0.001). Multivariate regression analysis controlling for economic factors, population and language showed the independent association of these parameters with bibliometric indices. CONCLUSIONS This study demonstrates a positive correlation between bibliometric indicators of ophthalmology research and economic factors, particularly health expenditure, among the OECD countries. Our results suggest an advantage of domestic investment in health to expand academic productivity in the field of ophthalmology.

Abstract
Background Tumor-associated neutrophils (TANs) play crucial roles in tumor progression, immune response modulation, and the therapeutic outcomes. Despite significant advancements in TAN research, a comprehensive bibliometric analysis that objectively presents the current status and trends in this field is lacking. This study aims to fill this gap by visually analyzing global trends in TANs research using bibliometric and knowledge mapping techniques. Methods We retrieved articles and reviews related to TANs from the Web of Science core collection database, spanning the period from 2012 to2024. The data was analyzed using bibliometric tools such as Excel 365, CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and Bibliometrix (R-Tool of R-Studio) to identify key trends, influential countries and institutions, collaborative networks. and citation patterns. Results A total of 6l5 publications were included in the bibliometric analysis, showing a significant upward trend in TANs research over the last two decades. The United States and China emerged as the leading contributors with the highest number of publications and citations. The journal with the most publications in this field is Frontiers in Immunology, Prominent authors such as Fridlender ZG was identified as the key contributor, with his works frequently cited. The analysis highlighted major research themes. including the role of TANs in tumor microenvironment modulation, their dual functions in tumor promotion and suppression, and the exploration of TANs-targeted therapies, Emerging research hotspots include studies on TANs plasticity and their interactions with other immune cells. Conclusion This study is the first to employ bibliometric methods to visualize trends and frontiers in TANs research. The findings provide valuable insights into the evolution of the field, highlighting critical areas for future investigation and potential collaborative opportunities. This comprehensive analysis serves as a crucial resource for researchers and practitioners aiming to advance TAN research and its application in cancer therapy.

Abstract
Background Calcific aortic valve stenosis (CAVS) is a common cardiovascular condition associated with significant adverse events and high mortality rates. Unfortunately, there are currently no effective pharmacological treatments to halt or prevent its progression. Through our analysis of global trends and treatment strategies, we have identified valuable insights and promising therapeutic possibilities. Additionally, by utilizing bibliometric and visualization techniques, we provide a comprehensive overview of the current research landscape in this field. Method According to our design idea, we used the Web of Science database to select publications on aortic stenosis and related treatments. Through our VOSviewer and CiteSpace analysis, a total of 787 articles have been analyzed by September 2024. We also summarize and explore the most prolific authors, the most prolific countries, and the journals and institutions that publish the most articles. Results A visual analysis of the collected articles reveals that Canada and the United States have the highest publication volumes in this field. Among institutions, Harvard University in the U.S. leads in publication count, followed by Laval University in Canada and the University of California in the U.S. The top three research hotspots are stenosis, calcification, and progression. The journal with the highest number of publications in this area is Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine, followed by Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions and Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology. Furthermore, research on CAVS treatment spans various directions and focuses, including therapeutic approaches, pathogenesis, and diagnostic methods. Conclusion Research into CAVS treatment has advanced significantly over the years. While interventional and surgical valve replacement remains the mainstay treatments for aortic stenosis, they are insufficient to fully meet the needs of the patient. Emerging priorities now focus on improving diagnostics, exploring innovative therapies, uncovering disease mechanisms, and developing novel drugs. These findings highlight the evolving demands in this field and underscore the need for continued research to address these challenges.

Abstract
Background: The mental health of nursing students directly affects their future performance, quality of patient care, and personal development. Therefore, an in-depth understanding of research in this area can assist in implementing effective measures to improve the mental health of nursing students. Aim: This study used bibliometric analyses to identify and analyze articles, authors, journals, and research institutes investigating nursing students' mental health in terms of thematic structure and topic evolution, aiming to provide direction and guidance for future research. Methods: In this retrospective bibliometric analysis, data were downloaded from the Web of Science Core Collection on August 15, 2024. Subsequently, CiteSpace software was employed to analyze the annual number of publications and citations, explore relationships between authors, institutions, countries, and keywords, and summarize research hotspots and frontiers in the field of nursing students' mental health. Results: Articles published from database inception to August 15, 2024, were screened, leading to the retrieval of 3803 relevant articles. The United States of America was the leading country in terms of research output on the mental health of nursing students, with 982 (25.79%) published articles, while the United States Department of Health and Human Services provided the most funding. Furthermore, Happell, B was the most productive author in this field, with 80 published papers. Lastly, Nurse Education Today was the most prolific journal in nursing education. Conclusion: The main recent research trends include the psychological profile of nursing students, intervention strategies for improving the mental health of nursing students, and the influence of educational methods, clinical experience, and humanistic care on the mental health of nursing students. These trends imply that researchers should develop targeted training programs, apply information technology, and implement personalized teaching to enhance the psychological resilience of the nursing student population. Moreover, higher education institutions should provide nursing students with more comprehensive and effective mental health support by maintaining mental health files, strengthening mental health education, providing psychological counseling services, and establishing social support systems.

Abstract
Background Exosome research in preeclampsia is gaining increasingly popular, however thorough and unbiased summaries of the field's present understanding are hard to come by. Therefore, this study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the publication "Exosomes in Preeclampsia" in order to visually analyze the state of the field and identify emerging trends. Methods From 2008 to 2023, the Web of Science database was searched for publications related to exosomes in preeclampsia. Three software packages-VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and the R program "bibliometrix"-were used to conduct bibliometric analysis. Results Analysis of 257 publications produced by 1454 scholars from 48 countries/regions and 435 institutions, published in 135 academic journals. The quantity of studies concerning exosomes in preeclampsia is steadily increasing. China and the United States lead in publications, with Oxford being the most active university. Placent has written the most relevant study and has received the highest number of citations. Carlos Salomon has the most number of published articles and is the most referenced author. The 10 most frequently mentioned sources were used as a knowledge basis. The predominant terms examined include extracellular vesicle, expression, pregnancy, microparticle, and microRNA. Utilizing fundamental research on exosomes in preeclampsia for clinical diagnosis and therapy is a current popular research focus and direction. Abstract
Background: This bibliometric review seeks to understand metrics of papers, authors, journals, and universities, about the benefits of the therapeutic application of Cannabis sativa (CS), as well as the most harmful effects associated to its use. Methods: The main search strategy applied to the topic was conducted in Web Of Science Core Collection on February 2024. A crossmatch of the number of citations was performed in Scopus and Google Scholar. The analyses were carried out in VOSviewer and Altmetric for PubMed and Google Scholar. Results: Of a total of 196 records, 53 articles were included for analysis. There were 25 publications on either therapeutic or harmful effects. In the ranking of subjects, those of greatest interest were general oral health and periodontics, with 53% of the total. The most cited paper was authored by Thomson et al. (2008) with 85 citations, allowing the University of Otago to be the most cited. Although JAMA was the most cited journal, in the dental field this corresponded to the Journal of Clinical Periodontology. In relation to the distribution by country, the United States received the largest number of citations and New Zealand second. Related to dentistry, in the cluster analysis, keywords more occurrent were "periodontal disease" and "periodontitis". Conclusions: In the past 4 years, there has been a superlative growth in CS papers related to oral health effects. This growth follows the social and political events related to CS legalization in some countries and reveals that the use of CS in dentistry is an emerging research field.

Abstract
Objective Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is used as a complementary treatment for patients with cancer, especially in immunotherapy. Although extensive clinical and basic research has been conducted on TCM in cancer immunotherapy, a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of this field has not yet been performed. This study aimed to investigate the progress and status of TCM, and the research focused on cancer immunotherapy. Methods We collected 1,657 articles on TCM in cancer immunotherapy from 1994 to 2024 from the Web of Science Core Collection database. VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and the Bibliometrix R package were used to analyze countries, institutions, journals, authors, references, and keywords to predict future trends in cancer immunotherapy with TCM. Results The publication rate of TCM in cancer immunotherapy research steadily increased from 1994 to 2018, with a swift growth from 2018 to 2023. China and TCM universities have achieved the most research advancements in this field. The most studied types of cancer are liver, lung, and colorectal cancers. However, few studies exist on upper respiratory tract tumors, cervical cancer, and melanoma, which deserve more attention. The study trend has gradually shifted from in vivo and in vitro models to clinical efficacy. Simultaneously, the focus of research transitioned from compound TCM preparations or classes of ingredients to specific pharmacodynamic ingredients, and the corresponding targets transitioned from cytokines to immune checkpoints. In general, molecular docking combined with multi-omics analysis is a popular and trending research method in TCM for cancer immunotherapy, helping researchers understand the mechanisms of TCM in cancer immunotherapy more comprehensively and accurately. By analyzing the literature, it is evident that TCM-based immunotherapy should contribute to effective maintenance or adjuvant therapy throughout the entire course of cancer rather than only in the late stages. Conclusion This study comprehensively summarized and identified research frontiers providing a reference for promoting the development of TCM immunotherapy preparations and guiding clinical practice. Consequently, more patients with cancer can benefit from immunotherapy.

Abstract
Fibromyalgia causes widespread pain, exhaustion, and cognitive deficits, lowering sufferers' quality of life. Exercise supports the management of fibromyalgia by reducing pain and improving mood. This study examines global fibromyalgia and exercise research trends using bibliometric analysis to identify major contributors, citation patterns, and prospective research areas. Data were obtained from the Web of Science (WoS) database utilizing the keywords "fibromyalgia exercise" for publications from 2014 to 2023. The inclusion criteria prioritized original articles and reviews published in the English language. Bibliometric characteristics were examined, including publication year, country, journal, and citation metrics. Statistics adjusted for population and gross domestic product (GDP) were computed to evaluate research productivity in relation to economic and demographic variables. A total of 497 publications satisfied the inclusion criteria. A significant increase trend in publication counts was noted (p = 0.003), with Spain (25.75%), the United States (15.09%), Brazil (13.88%), Türkiye (7.24%), and Sweden (5.23%) identified as the major contributors. Publications were produced by 37 countries, 19 of which were the main active countries. Spain displayed remarkable productivity, ranking first in population- and GDP-adjusted contributions. Based on publication type, 388 (78.06%) were original articles, and the rest were reviews. The median number of original article and review citations were 11 (min = 0; max = 289) and 14 (min = 0; max = 1092). Review citations outnumbered original articles (p = 0.013). The median number of citations for SCIE and/or SSCI and ESCI articles were 12 (min = 0; max = 1092) and 3 (min = 0; max = 92). SCIE and/or SSCI articles were significantly more cited than ESCI ones (p < 0.001). INT J ENV RES PUB HE (n = 18), RHEUMATOL INT (n = 17), ARCH PHYS MED REHAB (n = 15), J CLIN MED (n = 14) and DISABIL REHABIL (n = 13) were the top five journals in terms of article count. This bibliometric analysis evaluates and summarizes global scholarly output on fibromyalgia and exercise, underscoring the increasing research interest in the two. High-income countries, notably Spain, the United States, and Sweden, significantly contributed to the area, underscoring differences in research capacities.

Abstract
Introduction With the global rise in life expectancy, the incidence of dementia is increasing, often accompanied by depressive symptoms. Understanding the interplay between dementia and depression is crucial, as depression may not only co-occur with but also potentially exacerbate the progression of dementia. This study employs bibliometric analysis to map the global research landscape, identify prevailing themes, and discern future research directions. Methods We analyzed reviews and original research articles on dementia and depression extracted from the Web of Science Core Collection spanning from 2005 to 2024. Utilizing tools such as CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and an R-based bibliometric analysis package, we assessed trends in publication volume, citation frequency, contributing countries, leading institutions, predominant journals, influential authors, and emergent keywords. Results A total of 1972 publications were obtained, revealing a consistent increase in both the number of publications and their citation impact over the study period. The United States is the country with the most publications and the most extensive collaborations. The University of Toronto and the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease were identified as key contributors to this field. This research area is currently focused on cognitive impairments, the role of gut microbiota, and non-drug interventions. Future directions emphasize the importance of early detection and intervention, a deeper understanding of the gut-brain axis, and the integration of technology in treatment strategies. Additionally, there is a growing interest in the physiological and psychological interplays such as oxidative stress and its implications. Conclusion This study underscores pathogenesis, comorbid conditions, and non-drug interventions as primary research focal points, suggesting these areas as potential pathways for therapeutic innovation. These insights are intended to deepen our understanding, enhance diagnostics, and improve the management of dementia and depression, providing guidance for future research aimed at addressing these escalating global health challenges.

Abstract
Background Breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL) is a common and debilitating complication following breast cancer treatment. Despite its significant impact on patients' quality of life, bibliometric analyses focusing on BCRL are scarce. This study aims to explore global research trends on BCRL from 2000 to 2023, identify existing knowledge gaps, and highlight emerging focus areas through a bibliometric approach. Methods A comprehensive search was conducted using the Web of Science (WOS) database to retrieve literature published between January 2000 and November 2023. Bibliometric analyses and visualizations were performed using R Studio, CiteSpace, and VOSviewer. Key data extracted included publication trends, contributing countries and institutions, leading authors, journals, research categories, and keywords. Outcome measures for analysis included the number of publications, citation counts, author productivity, and keyword co-occurrence. Results A total of 919 eligible publications from 52 countries and regions, 1,163 institutions, and 3,550 authors were identified. These publications appeared in 255 journals, with "Lymphology" emerging as the journal with the highest citation count. The USA was the most prolific contributor to the field. The annual number of publications demonstrated a consistent upward trend. Keyword co-occurrence analysis revealed prominent research hotspots, including "lymphedema," "women," "breast cancer," "arm lymphedema," and "quality of life." Emerging keyword trends from 2021 to 2023 highlighted "prevention" and "validity" as pivotal research frontiers. Conclusions This bibliometric study highlights the growing interest in breast cancer-related lymphedema research and identifies key areas for future investigation, including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment strategies. The results underscore the need for further exploration of these emerging research areas to improve patient outcomes.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Previous observational studies have reported an association between chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and osteoporosis (OP). The aim of this study is to investigate the causal relationship between COPD and OP by two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis. The current status of cross-sectional research between COPD and OP in the past decade was explored through bibliometrics. METHODS Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) that have been found to be strongly associated with COPD were used as instrumental variables (IVs) in MR Analysis. The primary outcome of the study was BMD measurement at five specific anatomical sites, namely the whole body, femoral neck, lumbar spine, forearm, and heel. These BMD measurements were derived primarily from a genome-wide association study (GWAS) and summary statistics from the International Genetic Factors Consortium for Osteoporosis (GEFOS). The main analysis method was inverse variance weighting (IVW). Multiple sensitivity analyses were performed to assess the robustness and reliability of the current MR Results. Further confirmatory MR Analysis between COPD and OP was applied. In bibliometrics. Publications were extracted from the Web of Science core collection publications related to osteoporosis and sarcopenia published between January 2014 and October 2024; Bibliometrics and visualization were performed by Microsoft Office Excel, Citespace, and R (Bibliometrix). RESULTS The MR Findings suggest that there is no causal relationship between COPD and BMD at five specific anatomical sites. The results of the primary IVW MR Analysis were generally supported by our sensitivity MR Analysis. We performed MR Analysis for the validation of COPD and OP (IVW OR: 1.019; 95%CI: 0.898-1.564; p = 0.768) also did not support a causal relationship between COPD and BMD. A total of 471 articles written by 1119 organizations from 42 countries/regions by 3331 authors and published in 238 journals were identified in the bibliometric analysis. China is the leading country in terms of the number of publications. China Medical University contributed the most publications. The International Journal of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease has the highest publication in this field. CONCLUSIONS In conclusion, This MR Study found no causal relationship between COPD and OP, suggesting that the observed associations may be due to common genetic effects or environmental confounders. The global research trends in this field in the past decade were summarized through bibliometric analysis, and care became the focus of future research on the relationship between copd and OP.

Abstract
Background and objectives Depression long been a key concern for scholars worldwide; however, the field of depression has not received sufficient attention in traditional Chinese medicine. It was not until the 21st century that research into depression gradually entered a period of rapid development, with an increasing number of academic studies published in major journals. However, one limitation of this field is that no scholars have yet summarised the development process and key research issues. Therefore, the present study aimed to summarise the research trends and progress in this field, providing relevant information and presenting potential future research directions for subsequent researchers. Methods Literature in this field was searched from January 1, 2000 to April 20, 2024 in the Web of Science Core Collection database, to analyse the current status of the literature and publication trends. Bibliographic information, including study authors, organisations, keywords, countries, references, citations, and co-citations, was extracted using CiteSpace and VOSviewer software for quantitative analysis, visual mapping, and scientific evaluation. Results A total of 921 papers were included, with a significant increase in the number of publications from 2017 to 2021, and a stable number of more than 140 publications between 2022 and 2023, with publications in these two years accounting for 31.38 % of the total. The Journal of Ethnopharmacology had the highest number of publications (97) and citations (2067), as well as the highest number of co-citations (1369). China (847 publications, 13256 citations), Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (90 publications, 1232 citations), and Qin Xuemei (30 publications, 759 citations) were the most prolific and influential countries, organisations, and authors in the field, respectively. Keyword clustering co-occurrence analysis revealed nine different clusters with good homogeneity. The top three clusters were randomised controlled trials, traditional Chinese medicine, and hippocampal neurogenesis. In the timeline analysis of keywords, from 2000 to 2010, keywords in this field were concentrated on hippocampal neurology and forced swimming test as clustering axes of Traditional Chinese Medicine. From 2010 to 2020, the research hotspots focused on randomised controlled trials and hippocampal neurogenesis. After 2020, keywords became more focused on network pharmacology. In addition, the occurrence time of explosive keywords were distributed before 2010 and after 2020. Before 2010, these keywords included the forced swimming test, Tail Suspension Test, Chronic Cold Stress, Neural Regeneration, and Banxia Houpu Decoction. Conversely, network Pparmacology and Molecular Docking arose as key buzzwords starting in 2020. Conclusions This study comprehensively analysed and summarised the research hotspots and trends in this field of research in the 21st century from a bibliometric perspective, further generating a series of visual graphs to help researchers understand the current research status, potential collaborators, collaborating institutions, and potential future research hotspots in this field.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Dehydration and low fluid intake cause the most prevalent electrolyte imbalance in older adults and increase their morbi-mortality. OBJECTIVE To analyse the scientific production on dehydration in older adults. METHODS A bibliometric analysis was performed using the Web of Science Core Collection database. The data were analysed using two software programs, the Bibliometric package for RStudio version 4.2.2, and VOSviewer 1.6.18 for the analysis of the scientific production, authors, citations, countries and collaborations, journals, research areas, and keywords. RESULTS A total of 205 articles were selected. An increase in the number of publications has been observed since 2012, with 2021 being the most productive year. With respect to scientific production, although the USA had the most publications, the two most prolific authors were affiliated with an institution located in the UK, with this country having the most collaborations with other countries in the development of the subject matter. The co-occurrence analysis indicated that the words with the highest occurrence were dehydration (n = 103), hydration (n = 39), prevalence (n = 30), mortality (n = 29), and thirst (n = 29). CONCLUSIONS This is the first bibliometric analysis that shows the publication trends on dehydration in older adults. Although the number of publications is limited, they have increased in number in the last few years. The research trends are centred on the prevalence of dehydration and its related factors. More studies are needed that are centred on interventions to correct the problem, to help fight against the electrolyte imbalances that occur, and to reduce the morbi-mortality associated with this condition.

Abstract
Purpose To evaluate the current trends and spatiotemporal dynamics of microplastic research and public health through a scientometric study from 2019 to 2024. Methods An observational and descriptive approach was applied to the published literature on microplastics and public health published in January 2019 and July 2024. A quantitative approach was used to analyze document production, author-country collaborations and thematic evolution. A comprehensive search of the Scopus database was conducted using a combination of keywords related to "microplastics" and "public health." Papers that explicitly addressed these topics were considered for analysis. SciVal and R studio software were used for the analyses. Results Significant growth in paper production was observed, with an increase in international collaboration and a diversity of paper types. The most prominent journals in this field include "Science of the Total Environment" and "Journal of Hazardous Materials", which lead in terms of academic output and impact. There was an upward trend in the number of publications in the Q1 quartile, reflecting growing interest in this field. Several authors have demonstrated a significant impact on microplastic research and its impact on public health, highlighting the importance of further research in this field. In addition, 156 sources and 259 papers related to microplastics and public health research were identified, reflecting the diversity and richness of research in this field. The thematic evolution showed interesting changes in focus topics over time, highlighting the intersection of microplastics with topics such as "covid-19" and "public health." Conclusions These findings underscore the relevance and urgency of microplastic and public health research and suggest promising directions for future research. The increasing volume of published research in these fields over time reflects the continuing importance of microplastics research and its impact on public health.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Bibliometric and visualization analyses are used to quantitatively assess and graphically display the current status, patterns, and trends using scholarly literature. Pharmacy education worldwide has developed rapidly over the past few decades, but few related studies have been conducted in this field. This study aims to explore the present landscape, identify research focal points, and future trends in the evolution of pharmacy education. METHODS Published articles on pharmacy education from 2003 to 2022 were sourced and retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC). Utilizing VOSviewer (1.6.18) and CiteSpace (6.2.R2) software, along with a platform (bibliometric.com), we performed comprehensive bibliometric and visualization analyses. RESULTS From 2003 to 2022, research on pharmacy education developed rapidly, showing rising trends in annual publications and citations. A total of 2945 publications were collected for this study. The United States of America had the most significant number of publications. As shown in the co-authorship analysis, cooperation between countries is often led and embodied by collaborations between well-known institutions. "Online learning" is one of the latest research directions. CONCLUSIONS There is a continuously increasing tendency of studies in pharmacy education. The progression of pharmacy education research has transitioned from the theoretical phase to practical application in bedside clinical practice.

Abstract
To investigate the research levels, hotspots, and development trends regarding microRNAs in hypertension, this study conducted a visual analysis of studies on miRNA in hypertension based on the Web of Science core collection database using CiteSpace and VOSviewer analysis software along with literature from 2005-2023 as information data. Using citation frequency, centrality, and starting year as metrics, this study analyzed the research objects. It revealed the main research bodies and hotspots and evaluated the sources of literature and the distribution of knowledge from journals and authors. Finally, the potential research directions for miRNAs in hypertension are discussed. The results showed that the research field is in a period of vigorous development, and scholars worldwide have shown strong interest in this research field. A comprehensive summary and analysis of the current research status and application trends will prove beneficial for the advancement of this field.

Abstract
Objective To identify the research status of nurses' moral distress and predict emerging research hotspots and development trends. Methods Articles on nurses' moral distress were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database from the inception of the database to 2024. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOSviewer and CiteSpace software to analyze publication distributions by country, institution, journal, author contributions, keyword trends, and reference co-citations. Results Our study analyzed 1,781 documents, revealing a notable increase in publications after 2017, with contributions from 88 countries and 2,301 institutions worldwide. The United States and China were prominent contributors, highlighting global interest in this area. Analyses of keywords and cited references reveal emerging research topics such as "COVID-19", "burnout", and "moral resilience". Conclusion This bibliometric review sheds light on the growing academic interest in nurses' moral distress, emphasizing key themes and outlining future research directions. By charting the development of this domain, our study provides critical insights, guiding the investigation of complex ethical issues in nursing and enhancing understanding of nurses' moral distress.

Abstract
Background Lung cancer possesses the highest incidence and mortality rates among malignancies globally. Despite substantial advancements in oncology, it is frequently diagnosed at an advanced stage, resulting in a poor prognosis. Over recent decades, the swift progress of nanotechnology has precipitated the extensive utilization of nanomaterials as carriers in cancer diagnosis and therapy. The deployment of nanoparticles as an innovative diagnostic strategy aspires to enable the earlier detection of lung cancer, thereby permitting earlier intervention and enhancing prognosis. This study endeavors to deepen our understanding of this domain through a comprehensive analysis employing bibliometric tools. Method Related articles were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection from January 1st, 2006, to December 14st, 2023. Thereaf CiteSpace, VOSviewer and the online platform of bibliometrics (http://bibliometric.com/) were utilized to visually analyze Author/Country/Institutions/Cited Journals/Keyword, et al. Results A total of 966 articles were retrieved for this study. The analysis unveils a progressive increase in annual publications within this field, with China at the forefront in publication volume, followed by the United States and India. Moreover, Chinese research institutions, notably the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, prevail in publication output. Upon exclusion of irrelevant search terms, keywords clustering analysis highlights that "biomarkers", "sensors", "gold nanoparticles", and "silver nanoparticles" are predominant research focuses. Conclusion This bibliometric study furnishes a quantitative perspective on the extant literature, serving scholars in related fields. Furthermore, it anticipates future research trend concerning nanoparticles and lung cancer diagnosis, thereby aiding in the formulation of project planning and the design of experiments.

Abstract
Background Noonan syndrome (NS) is a rare group of autosomal genetic disorders. In recent years, with the exploration and development of molecular diagnostic techniques, more and more researchers have begun to pay attention to NS. However, there is still a lack of reports on the bibliometric analysis of NS worldwide. This study aims to assess the current research status and development trend of NS, to explore the research hotspots and emerging topics, and to point out the direction for future scientific research. Methods Web of Science Core Collection was selected as the search database for bibliometric analysis of NS-related publications from 1998 to 2023. Statistical and visual analysis of the number of publications, countries, institutions, authors, journals, keywords, and references were analyzed using Citespace, VOSviewer, Scimago Graphica, and BibliometrixR. Results A total of 2041 articles were included in this study. The United States had the highest number of publications, and Istituto Superiore di Sanità, Italy, was the institution with the highest number of publications. TARTAGLIA M was the scientist with the highest number of publications and citations. Among the journals, AMERICAN JOURNAL OF MEDICAL GENETICS PART A has the highest output, and Nature Genetics is the most frequently cited. The reference with the highest outburst intensity is Roberts AE, LANCET, 2013. the cluster diagram divides all the keywords into seven categories, with the most vigorous outburst being "of function mutations." Conclusion Research hotspots in the field of NS focus on the correspondence between NS genotype and phenotype and the precise diagnosis of NS. Future research efforts will explore more deeply from the perspective of long-term intervention strategies for NS. There is an urgent need to rely on significant research countries, institutions, journals, and authors to lead the construction of a more robust global collaborative network that will enhance research efficacy.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION This study aimed to examine important points of focus, trends, and depth of research on non-pharmacological interventions for the management of labor pain worldwide from a macro perspective and present an extensive definition of research fields regarding non-pharmacological interventions. METHODS Bibliometric methods were used in this study. With comprehensive keyword lists, the Web of Science and PubMed databases were searched using different screening strategies for publications made until 25 February 2023. RESULTS Studies on non-pharmacological interventions in the management of labor pain have continued to develop since 2003 with great momentum. In this study, the most productive country in research on non-pharmacological interventions was found to be Iran, while Australia, the USA, China, and the United Kingdom were the most notable ones in terms of collaboration. The most prevalently studied non-pharmacological interventions were hydrotherapy and acupuncture. The results of the co-word analysis revealed 5 main themes about this field of research. CONCLUSION The results of this study showed that interest in studies on non-pharmacological interventions in the management of labor pain has increased, the quality of research in the field is high, international collaboration is increasingly higher, and technological approaches have started to emerge in relevant studies.

Abstract
The unclear pathogenic mechanisms of neurodegenerative disorders stemming from NOTCH2NLC GGC repeat expansions drive focused research. Thus, a bibliometric and meta-analysis was conducted to uncover research trends and positivity rates in NOTCH2NLC. We conducted systematic searches in the Web of Science, PubMed, Embase, and Scopus databases for studies related to NOTCH2NLC up until August 2, 2023. Information regarding countries, institutions, authors, journals, and keywords of studies included in the Web of Science was analyzed and visualized. The positivity rates of NOTCH2NLC GGC repeat expansions across all screened patients and patients' families were pooled under the random-effects model. Publication bias and its impact were examined using funnel plots, Egger's linear regression, and trim-and-fill method. The bibliometric analysis, revealing pronounced publication growth, comprised 119 studies, which came from China and Japan particularly. "Neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease" emerged as a frequently used keyword. The meta-analysis comprised 36 studies, indicating global positivity rates of 1.79% (95% CI, 0.75-3.17) for all patients and 2.00% (95% CI, 0.26-4.78) for patients' families. Subgroup analyses based on region and phenotype suggested the highest NOTCH2NLC positivity rates in Taiwan population (5.42%, 95% CI 0.08-16.89) and in leukoencephalopathy-dominant patients (8.25%, 95% CI, 3.01-15.60). Sensitivity analysis affirmed the robustness of results. In conclusion, NOTCH2NLC GGC repeat expansions exhibit rare globally, primarily in East Asia, and leukoencephalopathy-dominant patients, emphasizing regional and phenotypic distinctions. Emerging focal points in NOTCH2NLC researches underscore the need for collaborative exploration.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is a severe chronic lung disease primarily affecting premature infants, often resulting from prolonged mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy. Oxidative stress plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of BPD, contributing to lung injury, inflammation, and impaired lung development. Despite extensive research, there is a need to systematically map out the research trends and hotspots in this field to inform future studies and therapeutic strategies. METHODS This study utilized bibliometric and visualized analysis to explore global research trends and hotspots on oxidative stress and BPD from 2004 to 2024. A comprehensive literature search was conducted in the Web of Science Core Collection, focusing on publications related to oxidative stress and BPD. Tools such as VOSviewer, Citespace, and the R package Bibliometrix were employed to analyze Coauthorship, co-citation, and keyword co-occurrence networks, as well as to identify emerging research fronts and influential studies. RESULTS The analysis identified 597 relevant publications, showing a steady increase in research output over the 20-year period, with a significant surge in the last decade. The United States led in research contributions, followed by China and Germany, with notable collaborations among these countries. Coauthorship analysis highlighted key research institutions, such as Harvard University and the University of California, as central nodes in the research network. Thematic clustering revealed five major research areas: antioxidant mechanisms, inflammation, molecular pathways, lung development, and therapeutic interventions. The keyword co-occurrence analysis showed a shift in research focus over time. Early studies concentrated on basic pathophysiological mechanisms, while recent research has increasingly focused on advanced molecular techniques, such as gene expression and targeted therapies. Notably, the study identified emerging research hotspots, including the role of extracellular vesicles and cellular senescence in BPD, as well as the potential therapeutic applications of antioxidants like superoxide dismutase mimetics. CONCLUSION This bibliometric study provides a comprehensive overview of the research landscape on oxidative stress and BPD, identifying key trends, influential authors, and emerging research topics. The findings underscore the importance of continued research in this field, particularly in translating basic scientific insights into clinical applications to improve outcomes for infants affected by BPD. The study also highlights potential areas for future investigation, including the development of novel therapeutic strategies targeting oxidative stress in BPD.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Biologics are essential in treating psoriasis. In recent years, the pathogenesis exploration and development of new target drugs have provided a more complete evidence-based foundation for the biological treatment of psoriasis. This study aims to use bibliometrics to analyze the research status and development trends of biologics in psoriasis. METHODS The bibliometric analysis of publications related to biologics in psoriasis from 2004 to 2023 was conducted using the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database as the search data source. To perform the bibliometric analysis and create visual knowledge graphs, CiteSpace, the Bibliometrix R package, and VOSviewers were utilized. RESULTS The study included a total of 3800 articles. The United States had the highest number of publications. The leading authors and institutions were Steven R. Feldman and the University of Manchester, respectively, in the global partnership. The cluster plot divided all keywords into 11 categories. Currently, Secukinumab and Guselkumab are representative biological agents being studied due to their considerable efficacy and long-term safety. CONCLUSIONS Targeted therapy has emerged as a significant trend in the current treatment of psoriasis. Early and active use of biologics can effectively control disease progression, prevent or delay the occurrence of comorbidities, and may even alter the natural course of psoriasis. However, further investigation is required to fully understand the specific mechanisms of psoriasis and the use of biological agents.

Abstract
Hypertensive nephropathy continues to be a major cause of end-stage renal disease and poses a significant global health burden. Despite the staggering development of research in hypertensive nephropathy, scientists and clinicians can only seek out useful information through articles and reviews, it remains a hurdle for them to quickly track the trend in this field. This study uses the bibliometric method to identify the evolutionary development and recent hotspots of hypertensive nephropathy. The Web of Science Core Collection database was used to extract publications on hypertensive nephropathy from January 2000 to November 2023. CiteSpace was used to capture the patterns and trends from multi-perspectives, including countries/regions, institutions, keywords, and references. In total, 557 publications on hypertensive nephropathy were eligible for inclusion. China (n = 208, 37.34%) was the most influential contributor among all the countries. Veterans Health Administration (n = 19, 3.41%) was found to be the most productive institution. Keyword bursting till now are renal fibrosis, outcomes, and mechanisms which are predicted to be the potential frontiers and hotspots in the future. The top seven references were listed, and their burst strength was shown. A comprehensive overview of the current status and research frontiers of hypertensive nephropathy has been provided through the bibliometric perspective. Recent advancements and challenges in hypertensive nephropathy have been discussed. These findings can offer informative instructions for researchers and scholars.

Abstract
In recent years, the integration of immunotherapy in the treatment of lung cancer has marked a significant evolution in the field. This is evidenced by the surge in the volume of scientific publications, reflecting rapid advances over time. This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of lung cancer and immunotherapy research from January 2012 to December 2022, drawing on the Web of Science literature database and using the citexs data analysis platform to examine the shifts in topic hotspots over the decade. A total of 8,722 publications were retrieved, with annual publication numbers soaring from 79 in 2012 to 2,112 in 2021. The most prolific country in terms of publication volume was China (n = 3,363, 38.56%), with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center making the most significant institutional contribution (n = 156, 1.79%). Notably, the most productive authors in this domain were Benjamin Besse and Marina Chiara Garassino, who have collectively published 35 articles to date. Predominant research themes include PD1/PDL1, clinical trials, pembrolizumab, nivolumab, and immune checkpoint inhibitors. Moreover, this paper visualizes the analysis of journals, keywords, key genes and targets, and associated diseases, aiming to provide a systematic review and a forward-looking perspective on research in lung cancer and immunotherapy. By exploring current research dynamics and hotspots and identifying areas for improvement, this study seeks to provide valuable insights for future investigations in this burgeoning field.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to employ bibliometric analysis to visualize hot spots and evolving trends in the studies on the relationship between vitamin D and obesity. METHODS From the Web of Science Core Collection database, articles on vitamin D and obesity from 2001 to 2021 were retrieved. For the bibliometric visualization analysis, CiteSpace was employed. Some of the figures were created using GraphPad software. RESULTS 4454 pieces of articles and reviews were found, with an average citation of 30.68 times. There are many more published papers in the area of "nutrition dietetics" (1166, 26.179 %). The United States possesses the largest number of publications (1297, 29.12 %) and demonstrates definitive leadership in this field. The League of European Research Universities generates a higher percentage of publications (256, 5.748 %) than other institutions. Major studies are funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services (531, 11.922 %) and the National Institutes of Health, USA (528, 11.855 %). The top five keywords with the highest co-occurrence frequency are "obesity" (1260), "vitamin d" (943), "insulin resistance" (651), "risk" (642), and "d deficiency" (636). The biggest keyword cluster was #0 "adolescent" among the 18 keyword clusters. The three latest keywords in the keyword burst were "mineral density"、"d insufficiency" and "25 hydroxyvitamin d concentration". CONCLUSION This bibliometric analysis shows an overview of the current status of the research on the association between vitamin D and obesity. The prevalence of vitamin D deficiency and the relationship between vitamin D and metabolic syndrome in obese individuals remains hot topics. We speculate that the effect of obesity on vitamin D levels and bone mineral density, and the influence of vitamin D insufficiency on various body systems in obese populations will be future trends.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study provides a comprehensive overview of the knowledge structure and research hotspots regarding barriers and strategies for the implementation of clinical practice guidelines. METHODS Publications on barriers and strategies for guideline implementation were searched for on Web of Science Core Collection from database inception to October 24, 2022. R package bibliometrix, VOSviewer, and CiteSpace were used to conduct the analysis. RESULTS The search yielded 21,768 records from 3,975 journals by 99,998 authors from 3,964 institutions in 186 countries between 1983 and 2022. The number of published papers had a roughly increasing trend annually. The United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada contributed the majority of records. The University of Toronto, the University of Washington, and the University of Sydney were the biggest node in their cluster on the collaboration network map. The three journals that published the greatest number of relevant studies were Implementation Science , BMJ Open , and BMC Health Services Research . Grimshaw JM was the author with the most published articles, and was the second most co-cited author. Research hotspots in this field focused on public health and education, evidence-based medicine and quality promotion, diagnosis and treatment, and knowledge translation and barriers. Challenges and barriers, as well as societal impacts and inequalities, are likely to be key directions for future research. CONCLUSIONS This is the first bibliometric study to comprehensively summarize the research trends of research on barriers and strategies for clinical practice guideline implementation. Abstract
The relationship between gut microbiota and glaucoma has garnered significant interest, with emerging evidence suggesting that gut dysbiosis, inflammation, and immune mechanisms may contribute to glaucoma pathogenesis. Understanding these interactions through the gut-retina axis offers new insights into disease progression and potential therapeutic options. This study combines bibliometric analysis and literature review to evaluate research trends and key research areas related to gut microbiota's role in glaucoma. Our data were collected from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) and included the English original articles and reviews published between 1 January 2008, and 6 August 2024. Visual and statistical analyses were conducted using VOSviewer and CiteSpace. The analyses comprised 810 citations from leading journals, representing contributions from 23 countries/regions, 111 institutions, 40 journals, and 321 authors. Among the countries and regions involved, the USA and China were the leading contributors, publishing the most articles and being major research hubs. The Experimental Eye Research and Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science were the top journals in citation and co-citations that produced high-quality publications. The top 10 highly cited articles were published in high-ranking, top-quartile journals. The frequently occurring keywords were "glaucoma", "microbiota", "gut microbiota", "inflammation", "gut-retina axis", and "probiotics". Our study highlights the growing interest in the association between gut microbiota and glaucoma. It summarizes the possible ways gut microbiota dysbiosis, systemic and neuroinflammation, and autoimmune mechanisms contribute to glaucomatous pathogenesis. Future research should focus on mechanistic studies to elucidate the pathways linking gut microbiota to glaucoma development and progression.

Abstract
Background Many doctors are incorporating dry needling into their clinical practice. Despite this growing trend, there has not been a comprehensive bibliometric analysis conducted in this field. Thus, this study aims to investigate the current research landscape, key research contributors, and popular research topics in dry needling, and to analyze the developmental trends within this area of study. Methods The study utilized the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) as the main data source. Scientific literature was gathered through title (TI) searches for original clinical research papers on dry needling published between 2004 and 2024, using 'dry needling' or 'dry needle' as the search term. Statistical analyses and visualizations of the literature information, such as keywords, countries, research institutions, and authors, were conducted using the bibliometric.com online platform and VOSviewer. This approach aimed to statistically analyze and visualize the key research entities, hotspots, and frontiers in dry needling research. Additionally, the study delved into collaborative networks, research outputs, hot topics, and trends within the field of dry needling. Results This investigation encompassed 468 publications, with the year 2021 topping the charts for the highest publication output, amassing a total of 271 articles. The journal "Acupuncture in Medicine" emerged as the most frequently cited publication. The most impactful article was titled "Acupuncture and dry-needling for low back pain: An updated systematic review within the framework of the Cochrane Collaboration." Spain took the lead as the most productive country in this domain, with the United States closely following. Cesar Fernández-de-las-Peñas emerged as the most prolific author in the field. The Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Spain was recognized as the most productive institution for research in dry needling. As for journal keywords, "dry needling," "trigger point," and "myofascial pain syn-drome" were the triumvirate of terms most recurrently encountered. Conclusion The field of dry needling research has witnessed significant growth in recent years, characterized by the emergence of novel trends such as comparative studies with acupuncture, exploration into the mechanisms of action, and a transition toward interdisciplinary approaches. As medical models evolve, the focus is expanding from the exclusive treatment of muscle pain to broader applications. Despite this progress, the domain is underscored by a paucity of large-scale, multicenter clinical trials and animal studies. There exists an imperative for enhanced collaboration among academic and research institutions. A more profound exploration and comprehensive research endeavors are essential to enhance our understanding and broaden the clinical application of dry needling techniques.

Abstract
Background Neurodegenerative diseases are progressive disorders that severely diminish the quality of life of patients. However, research on neurodegenerative diseases needs to be refined and deepened. Single-cell polyomics is a technique for obtaining transcriptomic, proteomic, and other information from a single cell. In recent years, the heat of single-cell multiomics as an emerging research tool for brain science has gradually increased. Therefore, the aim of this study was to analyze the current status and trends of studies related to the application of single-cell multiomics in neurodegenerative diseases through bibliometrics. Result A total of 596 publications were included in the bibliometric analysis. Between 2015 and 2022, the number of publications increased annually, with the total number of citations increasing significantly, exhibiting the fastest rate of growth between 2019 and 2022. The country/region collaboration map shows that the United States has the most publications and cumulative citations, and that China and the United States have the most collaborations. The institutions that produced the greatest number of articles were Harvard Medical School, Skupin, Alexander, and Wiendl. Among the authors, Heinz had the highest output. Mathys, H accumulated the most citations and was the authoritative author in the field. The journal Nature Communications has published the most literature in this field. A keyword analysis reveals that neurodegenerative diseases and lesions (e.g., Alzheimer's disease, amyloid beta) are the core and foundation of the field. Conversely, single-cell multiomics related research (e.g., single-cell RNA sequencing, bioinformatics) and brain nerve cells (e.g., microglia, astrocytes, neural stem cells) are the hot frontiers of this specialty. Among the references, the article "Single-cell transcriptomic analysis of Alzheimer's disease" is the most frequently cited (1,146 citations), and the article "Cell types in the mouse cortex and hippocampus revealed by single-cell RNA-seq" was the most cited article in the field. Conclusion The objective of this study is to employ bibliometric methods to visualize studies related to single-cell multiomics in neurodegenerative diseases. This will enable us to summarize the current state of research and to reveal key trends and emerging hotspots in the field.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aims to highlight the trends in the minimally invasive spine surgery (MISS) research field from the bibliometrics perspective. METHODS The articles and reviews from 2002 to 2022 were manually retrieved from Scopus based on predefined inclusion criteria. A total of 296 articles for robotics and 13 articles for AI were included in the final analysis. All publication records were imported and analyzed in Microsoft Excel and VOSviewer. RESULTS An increase in the number of publications per year was observed in the last five years. For robotics, the United States published the largest number of articles (161), but the Netherlands had the highest total citations (1216). Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, China, was the most prolific institution. For journals, World Neurosurgery had the most publications (31), while Spine journal was the most impactful (average citation index = 86.6). Wang T.Y was the author with the most published articles (5). For AI, the United States had the greatest number of publications (10) and the highest citations (229). Global Spine Journal had the most publications (3), while Spine had the most citations (112). Kim J.S. was the most cited author (102). Recent keywords mainly focused on techniques and prognoses using these modalities in MISS. There were relatively fewer collaborations among countries. CONCLUSIONS An increasing trend in publications regarding robotics and AI use reflects the recent MISS technique advancements. Our findings can provide useful information to identify potential research fronts in the coming years. Enhanced collaboration on an international level should be pursued.

Abstract
Polycythemia vera (PV) is a myeloproliferative tumor with low incidence and complex symptoms, affecting patients' quality of life and shortening their life span. Since the beginning of the 21st century, there has been an update but a need for uniform consensus regarding diagnosing and treating PV. With the continued interest of researchers in this field, a bibliometric study of PV is necessary. This paper aims to analyze articles on PV through bibliometric software to provide collaborative information and new ideas for researchers in this field. We collected PV-related publications in the Web of Science Core Collection database from 2000 to 2023. The included literature was analyzed using Citespace (6.2.R2), VOSviewer (1.6.19), and Bibliometrix. The study included country/region, institution, authors, journals, keywords, and references, and a visual knowledge network diagram was constructed. Microsoft Excel 2013 was also used for statistical analysis. A total of 1,093 articles were eventually included. The number of PV-related publications has steadily increased from 2000 to the present, with great potential for future growth. The US and US institutions have contributed more to this field, with the US ranking first in the number of publications, total citations, and centrality. Alessandro M. Vannucchi is the most published author. Tefferi, Ayalew is the most cited author. And BLOOD has the most publications, topping the list of the eleven high-productivity core source journals. The most cited article was "Acquired mutation of the tyrosine kinase JAK2 in human myeloproliferative disorders" (Baxter, EJ, 2005). By examining the keywords, we found that the diagnosis and typing of true erythrocytosis, the use of ruxolitinib, and the tyrosine kinase JAK2 are the research hotspots in the field; genetic and molecular research in the field of true erythrocytosis is a cutting-edge topic in the field; and risk factors for true erythrocytosis is a cutting-edge hotspot issue in the field. The fruitful research in this century has laid the foundation for developing the field of PV. The information in this article will provide researchers with current hotspots and future potential in the discipline, helping the field achieve more extraordinary breakthroughs. Currently, research should focus on increasing global multicenter collaborative research in diagnosis and treatment to develop scientifically recognized diagnostic and treatment protocols and new clinical drug research. Our proposed model of global innovation collaboration will provide strong support for future research.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Osteoporosis is a common metabolic disorder that significantly impacts quality of life in the elderly population. Macrophages play a crucial role in the development of osteoporosis by regulating bone metabolism through cytokine secretion. However, there is a lack of scholarly literature in the field of bibliometrics on this topic. OBJECTIVE This study provides a detailed analysis of the research focus and knowledge structure of macrophage studies in osteoporosis using bibliometrics. METHODS The scientific literature on macrophage research in the context of osteoporosis, retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database spanning from January 1999 to December 2023, has been incorporated for bibliometric examination. The data is methodically analyzed and visually represented using analytical and visualization tools including VOSviewer, CiteSpace, Scimago Graphica, the Bibliometrix R package, and Pajek. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS In the last quarter-century, there has been a consistent rise in the quantity of scholarly publications focusing on the relationship between macrophages and osteoporosis, resulting in a total of 1499 research documents. These studies have originated from 45 different countries, with China, South Korea, and the United States being the most prominent contributors, and the United States having the highest frequency of citations. Noteworthy research institutions involved in this field include Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Wonkwang University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Seoul National University. The Journal of Bone and Mineral Research is widely regarded as the premier and most frequently referenced publication in the field. These publications involve the collaboration of 8744 authors, with Lee Myeung Su contributing the most articles, and Takayanagi being the most co-cited author. Key emerging research focal points are encapsulated in keywords such as "mTOR," "BMSCs," "bone regeneration," and "exosome." The relationships between exosome from macrophage sources and those from BMSCs, along with the regulatory role of the mTOR signaling pathway on macrophages, represent crucial directions for future development in this field. This study represents the inaugural comprehensive bibliometric analysis detailing trends and advancements in macrophage research within the osteoporosis domain. It delineates recent frontiers and hotspots, providing valuable insights for researchers in this particular area of study.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Using bibliometric methods, this study analyzed and summarized the current situation and development of the global application of botulinum toxin in dermatology. METHODS Literature published in the Web of Science Core Collection database from January 1, 2000 to October 28, 2023 was searched for topics such as "Botulinum toxin," "Dermatology," and so forth. The number of publications, countries, institutions, journals, authors, cited literature, keywords, and so forth, were analyzed and a visual knowledge map was created using scientometric tools such as CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and Scimago Graphica. RESULTS A total of 2039 documents were retrieved and 1877 documents were included after de-duplication and transformation. The country with the highest number of published periodical articles was the United States; the main research institution was Yonsei University; the author with the highest number of published periodical articles was Kim, Hee Jin; and the high-frequency keywords mainly related to indications, combination therapy, and safety optimization. CONCLUSION The results of this study provide information on the current status and trends in clinical studies of botulinum toxin in dermatology, which will help researchers identify hotspots and explore new research directions in this field.

Abstract
PURPOSE Patient experience is fundamental to Patient-Centered Care (PCC). Although prior bibliometric research studies have focused on various aspects of PCC, a comprehensive analysis of PREM articles is required to understand its impact on the clinical practices. This study aims to analyze the top 100 most-cited PREM articles to examine the critical studies and related trends. METHODS The 100 most cited articles on PREM were gathered from the Web of Science using a combination keyword search approach. The following information was extracted: study design, sample size, topic, number of citations, authorship, country, year of publication, journal title, and dimensions included in these PREM instruments. The VOSviewer software was used to generate graphical bibliometric networks. RESULTS The citation count of the top 100 PREM articles varied from 20 to 775 citations. 21 articles had received a minimum of 100 citations. All the articles were in English, and out of these 45% were from the USA. The cross-sectional study (69%) was the most common study design, and the impact of treatment (44%) was the most frequent topic. The common PREM instruments used were customized PREM questionnaires (16%) and HCAHPS (10%). CONCLUSION This bibliometric research showed that the area of PREM is far from being saturated. The authors have attempted to provide an overview of global PREM research. Future research should focus on studies from underdeveloped and developing countries to develop condition-specific PREM tools. Longitudinal researches among special populations and studies in day-care and outpatient settings are recommended in future.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Obesity and asthma are closely linked, but the current state of research on this topic and future research directions have yet to be comprehensively explored. This study aims to provide an up-to-date overview of the research landscape in the field of obesity and asthma. METHODS A bibliometric analysis was conducted using the Web of Science Core Collection database to identify papers published on obesity and asthma between 2013 and 2023. VOSviewer software was utilized for statistical analysis and visualization of collaborative networks, research trends, literature sources, citation analysis, co-citation analysis, and keyword analysis. RESULTS A total of 3,406 records from 1,010 journals authored by 17,347 researchers affiliated with 4,573 institutes across 117 countries and regions were retrieved. The number of publications and citations increased annually. The USA and China contributed the majority of records. Major nodes in the collaboration network map included Harvard Medical School, Johns Hopkins University, University of Newcastle, Karolinska Institution, University of Toronto, and Seoul National University. Prolific authors included Anne E. Dixon, Erick Forno, Lisa G. Wood, Deepa Rastogi, and Fernando Holguin. Research trends and hotspots focused on metabolism studies, Mendelian randomization, gut microbiome, inflammation response, gene, biomarker research, and comorbidities were identified as potential future research frontiers. CONCLUSION This study provides a comprehensive overview of the current research status and trends in the field of obesity and asthma. Our findings highlight the importance of understanding collaboration patterns, research hotspots, and emerging frontiers to guide future research in this area.

Abstract
Background Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most prevalent malignancy among men globally. The diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of prostate cancer frequently fall short of expectations. In recent years, the connection between inflammation and prostate cancer has attracted considerable attention. However, there is a lack of bibliometric studies analyzing the research on inflammation within the domain of prostate cancer. Research methods We utilized the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC) as our data source to extract articles and reviews related to inflammation in prostate cancer, published up until April 12, 2024. The collected data underwent meticulous manual screening, followed by bibliometric analysis and visualization using the Biblioshiny package in R. Results This study encompasses an analysis of 2,786 papers focusing on inflammation-related research within the realm of prostate cancer. Recent years have seen a significant proliferation of publications in this area, with the United States and China being the foremost contributors. The most prolific author in this domain is Demarzoam, with Johns Hopkins University standing out as the most influential institution. The leading journal in disseminating these studies is PROSTATE. Keyword co-occurrence analysis reveals that 'inflammation-related biomarkers', 'inflammation index', and 'tumor immune microenvironment' represent the current research hotspots and frontiers. Conclusion The findings of this bibliometric study serve to illuminate the current landscape of inflammation-related research in the field of prostate cancer, while further augmenting the discourse on inflammation-mediated cancer therapeutics. Of particular note is the potential of these discoveries to facilitate a more nuanced understanding among researchers regarding the interplay between inflammation and prostate cancer.

Abstract
Background Ovarian cancer (OC) is a major cause of gynecological cancer-related death in the world. Liquid biopsy has shown great potential in improving the ovarian cancer detection and treatment. The aim of this study is to explore the previous studies, current hotspots, and future trends of liquid biopsy for OC from a bibliometric perspective. Methods Articles on liquid biopsy in the field of OC were collected from Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics). Subsequently, bibliometric and visual analyses was conducted using bibliometrix, VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and Microsoft Excel. Results A total of 504 scientific papers were retrieved over a 25-year period, of which 285 papers were in the language of English. China has the highest number and other papers came from 41 countries or regions. The journal with the highest publication count was Cancers. There were 2013 authors in total, and Kasimir-Bauer S emerged as the most productive author. The key words that are still exploding are recurrence, predictive value and survival. Conclusion Research on liquid biopsy is booming in the field of OC. This article comprehensively elucidates the subject matter over recent years, and points out emerging trends for in-depth exploration.

Abstract
The rapid integration of mobile applications in healthcare has prompted an evolutionary change in nursing domain. This study aimed to systematically analyze the basic publication characteristics, research priorities, emerging trends, and thematic evolutions concerning mobile applications in nursing, providing an overview of the field's developmental trajectory and future directions. This was a descriptive bibliometric study. Data were collected on July 5, 2023, from the Web of Science database and analyzed by using the Bibliometrix package in R software. The search strategy yielded 417 documents authored by 1969 researchers, cited 12 595 references, and featured 1213 author keywords, spanning from 2012 to 2023. Research on mobile applications in nursing exhibited several key trends: (1) substantial collaboration among authors; (2) significant growth in the number of publications; (3) self-management was the most prominent hot topic; and (4) an evolution of research themes from general topics to a more specific focus on people-centered and problem-centered research. The corpus of literature pertaining to research on mobile applications within the nursing domain is anticipated to expand continually. Future research and practice in the nursing field are expected to benefit significantly from multidisciplinary collaboration and advancements in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Physiotherapy and chronic low back pain (CLBP) form a broad and quickly developing research area. The aim of this article was to holistically, thematically and chronologically analyze and synthesize the literature production in this research area and identify the most prolific research entities and research themes. METHODS This article quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed research literature production harvested from the Scopus bibliometric database, using a triangulation of bibliometric and thematic analysis. For this, Excel 2024, Bibliometrix Biblioshiny 4.1 and VOSviewer version 1.6.20 softwares were used. RESULTS In the Scopus database, 2843 data sources were found, which were published between 1974 and 26 February 2024. The growth trend has been linearly positive since the beginning of publication, and after 2018 exponential growth began. A review of the most prolific entities showed that the most literature was published in America, Europe and Australasia. The thematic analysis of the information sources identified six main themes (pathophysiology of CLBP and the quantification assessment tools, diagnostics and CLBP treatment, CLBP questionnaires and surveys, quality of life, complementary methods in physiotherapy and psychosocioeconomic aspects), while the chronological analysis revealed three main areas of development: assessment tools, CLBP processing and study methodology. CONCLUSIONS The results of this bibliometric study present a good starting point for further research, providing taxonomy and research landscapes as a holistic framework offering multidisciplinary knowledge about CLBP, while chronological analysis provides a basis for identifying prospective research trends. This article offers an interdisciplinary view of the current issue of public health. The results of this study provide a basis for the development of both the physiotherapy and epidemiological fields.
