Abstract
The objective is to design a reactor with a composite new membrane bed biofilm reactor and yttria-stabilized zirconia. We constructed a valuable reactor using response surface methodology (RSM) for process optimization. The present system can remove heavy metal Pb from wastewater using a two-part biofilm reactor: the first reactor, which includes active sludge and media, was investigated; then, the second part, which includes membranes, was made. The amount of heavy metal removed from the effluent was measured at different pH and contact time. The results obtained from this study showed that the optimum conditions for obtaining the optimal removal efficiency separately, with a lead value of 40 mg L-1 for the MBBR reactor, had the highest removal value of 55% and for the membrane with an input lead value of 20 ppm at pH = 12 call time 30 minutes equal to 85%. All analyses in this article have been repeated numerous times to prove the repeatability.

Abstract
This research paper focuses on exploring the possibility of delivering macro, micro and trace elements using seed encapsulation through nano-fibres that are known to improve the nutrient use efficiencies while reducing the loss of nutrients. The nano-fibres were developed using an electrospinning machine by subjecting the polymer solution (10% polyvinyl alcohol PVA) loaded with recommended quantities of nutrients under optimal solution (pH, concentration, viscosity) and process (voltage, flow rate, tip-to-collector distance) parameters. The nano-fibres were characterized using SEM, TEM, FT-IR, XRD, TGA and Impedance spectra besides nutrient release pattern by ICP-MS. The data have clearly shown that nano-fibres retained nutrients and released slowly up to 35 days. After the characterization, green gram (Vigna radiata L) seeds were encapsulated with nano-fibres loaded with multi-nutrients and each seed was coated with approximately 20-25 mg of nano-fibres, dibbled into the soil and the physiological, nutritional, growth and yield responses were assessed. Seeds encapsulated with nano-fibres fortified with nutrients (NF) had registered significantly higher crop emergence percentage (C 62%; NF 99.8%), root length (C 12.3; NF 27.1 cm), shoot length (C 28.7; NF 47.7 cm), dry matter production (C 16.2; NF 27.5 g) and grain yield (C 621.6; NF 796.3 kg ha-1). All the parameters measured in nano-fibre encapsulated seeds fortified with 100% of recommended dose of nutrients (NF) were higher than uncoated control (C) seeds but comparable with 100 % conventional fertilizer applied ones (RDF). Such phenomenal increase in growth and yield parameters associated with the extensive surface area of nano-fibres that is capable of retaining and releasing nutrients in a regulated pattern and assist in improving the pulses productivity by achieving balance crop nutrition which alleviating multi-nutrient deficiencies.

Abstract
Cerium-based UiO-66 (Ce-UiO-66) metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) were synthesized via a facile solvothermal method and fully characterized using FTIR, XRD, BET, SEM, EDX, and zeta potential techniques. The synthesized Ce-UiO-66 particles were embedded into an electrospun cross-linked polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/chitosan (CTS) nanofiber (EPCNF), and then employed to remove organic dyes from water. The adsorption results demonstrated that the adsorption capacities of both anionic (Congo Red (CR), Methyl Orange (MO) and Methyl Red (MR)) and cationic (Methylene Blue (MB)) dyes over the fabricated electrospun nanofibers (ENFs) increased with increasing the loadings of Ce-UiO-66 MOFs. Accordingly, the adsorption performance of EPCNF-10 (containing 10 wt% of Ce-UiO-66 MOFs) adsorbent toward these organic dyes is in the order of CR (102.04 mg/g) > MO (87.71 mg/g) > MR (65.35 mg/g) > MB (34.24 mg/g). Moreover, it was found that the Freundlich isotherm model and the pseudo-second-order kinetic model were appropriate for describing the adsorption behaviors of EPCNF-10 adsorbent toward both anionic and cationic dyes. Thus, it can be proposed that the fabricated EPCNF-10 adsorbent would be effective adsorbent materials for the removal of anionic and cationic dyes from water due to its excellent adsorption performance, facile preparation, good regeneration, and simple separation from aqueous solutions.

Abstract
The present study reports highly stable polymeric nanoparticles comprising curcumin and polyvinylpyrrolidone, and then conjugated with gold nanoparticles, resulting in C-PVP and C-PVP-Au, respectively. The synthesized conjugates C-PVP and C-PVP-Au were investigated for amyloid aggregation inhibition activity, antimicrobial activity, and wound healing applications. The anti-amyloidogenic capacity of nanoconjugates were studied for model protein, hen egg-white lysozyme (HEWL). The ThT binding assay, fibril size measurement, and electron microscopy results revealed that conjugates suppress fibrillogenesis in HEWL. The highest amyloid inhibition activity obtained against C-PVP and C-PVP-Au was 31 μg.mL-1 and 30 μg.mL-1, respectively. The dissociation activity for amyloid aggregation was observed against Q-PVP and Q-PVP-Au at 29 μg.mL-1 and 27 μg.mL-1, respectively. The antibacterial studies show significant efficacy against Escherichia coli (E. coli) in the presence of C-PVP and C-PVP-Au. The substantial antibacterial potential of C-PVP@PVA and C-PVP-Au@PVA membranes shows promising wound healing applications. The PVA membranes with nanoparticles promote the antibacterial activity and wound healing activity in the Drosophila model. C-PVP-Au@PVA membrane healed the wound faster than the C-PVP@PVA, and it can be used for better results in wound healing. Thus, C-PVP-Au and C-PVP have higher bioavailability and stability and can act as multifunctional therapeutic agents for amyloid-related diseases and as wound healing agents. Graphical abstract C-PVP, and C-PVP-Au conjugates for inhibition of HEWL aggregation, antibacterial and wound healing activity.

Abstract
Globally, water contamination by heavy metals is a serious problem that affects the environment and human health. Adsorption is the most efficient way of water treatment for eliminating heavy metals. Various hydrogels have been prepared and used as adsorbents to remove heavy metals. By taking advantage of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA), chitosan (CS), cellulose (CE), and the process for physical crosslinking, we propose a simple method to prepare a PVA-CS/CE composite hydrogel adsorbent for the removal of Pb(II), Cd(II), Zn(II) and Co(II) from water. Structural analyses of the adsorbent were examined by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX) analysis, and X-ray diffraction (XRD). PVA-CS/CE hydrogel beads had a good spherical shape together with a robust structure and suitable functional groups for the adsorption of heavy metals. The effects of adsorption parameters such as pH, contact time, adsorbent dose, initial concentration of metal ions, and temperature on the adsorption capacity of PVA-CS/CE adsorbent were studied. The adsorption characteristics of PVA-CS/CE for heavy metals may be completely explained by pseudo-second-order adsorption and the Langmuir adsorption model. The removal efficiency of PVA-CS/CE adsorbent for Pb(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), and Co(II) was 99, 95, 92, and 84%, respectively, within 60 min. The heavy metal's hydrated ionic radius may be crucial in determining the adsorption preference. After five consecutive adsorption-desorption cycles, the removal efficiency remained over 80%. As a result, the outstanding adsorption-desorption properties of PVA-CS/CE can potentially be extended to industrial wastewater for heavy metal ion removal.

Abstract
Electrospun cellulose nanofiber nonwovens have shown promise in wound dressing owing to the highly interconnected pore structure, high hydrophilicity coupled with other coveted characteristics of biodegradability, biocompatibility and renewability. However, electrospun cellulose wound dressings with loaded drugs for better wound healing have been rarely reported. In this study, a novel wound dressing with a high drug loading capacity and sustained drug release properties was successfully fabricated via electropinning of cellulose followed by polyethylenimine (PEI)-functionalization. Remarkably, the grafted PEI chains on the surface of electrospun cellulose nanofibers provided numerous active amino groups, while the highly porous structure of nonwovens could be well retained after modification, which resulted in enhanced adsorption performance against the anionic drug of sodium salicylate (NaSA). More specifically, when immersed in 100 mg/L NaSA solution for 24 h, the as-prepared cellulose-PEI nonwoven displayed a multilayer adsorption behavior. And at the optimal pH of 3, a high drug loading capacity of 78 mg/g could be achieved, which was 20 times higher than that of pristine electrospun cellulose nonwoven. Furthermore, it was discovered that the NaSA-loaded cellulose-PEI could continuously release the drug for 12 h in simulated body fluid (SBF), indicating the versatility of cellulose-PEI as an advanced wound dressing with drug carrier functionalities.

Abstract
Electrospinning is an efficient method of producing nanofibers out of polymers that shows a great potential for the filtration territory. Featuring water-soluble chitosan (WS-CS), a low-pollution process and a self-made needleless machine, PVA/WS-CS nanofibrous membranes were prepared and evaluated for nanofiber diameter, bacteriostatic property, filtration efficiency, pressure drop, and quality factor. Test results indicate that the minimal fiber diameter was 216.58 ± 58.15 nm. Regardless of the WS-CS concentration, all of the PVA/WS-CS nanofibrous membranes attained a high porosity and a high water vapor transmission rate (WVTR), with a pore size of 12.06–22.48 nm. Moreover, the membranes also exhibit bacteriostatic efficacy against Staphylococcus aureus, an optimal quality factor of 0.0825 Pa−1, and a filtration efficiency as high as 97.0%, that is 72.5% higher than that of common masks.

Abstract
The application of artificial neural networks on adsorption modeling has significantly increased during the last decades. These artificial intelligence models have been utilized to correlate and predict kinetics, isotherms, and breakthrough curves of a wide spectrum of adsorbents and adsorbates in the context of water purification. Artificial neural networks allow to overcome some drawbacks of traditional adsorption models especially in terms of providing better predictions at different operating conditions. However, these surrogate models have been applied mainly in adsorption systems with only one pollutant thus indicating the importance of extending their application for the prediction and simulation of adsorption systems with several adsorbates (i.e., multicomponent adsorption). This review analyzes and describes the data modeling of adsorption of organic and inorganic pollutants from water with artificial neural networks. The main developments and contributions on this topic have been discussed considering the results of a detailed search and interpretation of more than 250 papers published on Web of Science ® database. Therefore, a general overview of the training methods, input and output data, and numerical performance of artificial neural networks and related models utilized for adsorption data simulation is provided in this document. Some remarks for the reliable application and implementation of artificial neural networks on the adsorption modeling are also discussed. Overall, the studies on adsorption modeling with artificial neural networks have focused mainly on the analysis of batch processes (87%) in comparison to dynamic systems (13%) like packed bed columns. Multicomponent adsorption has not been extensively analyzed with artificial neural network models where this literature review indicated that 87% of references published on this topic covered adsorption systems with only one adsorbate. Results reported in several studies indicated that this artificial intelligence tool has a significant potential to develop reliable models for multicomponent adsorption systems where antagonistic, synergistic, and noninteraction adsorption behaviors can occur simultaneously. The development of reliable artificial neural networks for the modeling of multicomponent adsorption in batch and dynamic systems is fundamental to improve the process engineering in water treatment and purification.

Abstract
Nanostructure adsorbents namely nanofibers have been demonstrated to have a high adsorption rate and are efficient to treat wastewater. Herein, chitosan/poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) blend nanofiber membranes prepared by electrospinning method were crosslinked using glutaraldehyde and functionalized with 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride to be used as a potential bio-sorbent for heavy metal ions removal. The chitosan was first hydrolyzed before electrospinning with PVA, followed by crosslinking and further functionalized by ionic liquid to overcome the limitation of chitosan which has low adsorption capacity and unsuitable physical properties for the adsorption process. The morphology and the chemical bond formed were investigated by using field emission scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (FESEM-EDX) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) showing that the hydrolyzed chitosan/PVA nanofiber membranes were successfully crosslinked and functionalized. The synthesized adsorbent was evaluated in pure heavy metal ions solutions namely Pb(II), Mn(II), and Cu(II) and shown best performance for Pb(II) ions. The highest adsorption capacity recorded for Pb(II) ions was 166.34 mg/g and are well fitted to the Freundlich isotherm model and pseudo-second-order kinetic model to describe the adsorption equilibrium and kinetic rate of the Pb(II) uptake, respectively. The synthesized adsorbent clearly shows a great capability to remove Pb(II) ions.

Abstract
Wound healing is a multi-stage process that is dynamic, interactive, and complicated. However, many nanomaterials are employed to expedite wound healing by demonstrating antibacterial activity or boosting cell proliferation. But only one phase is focused during the wound healing process. As a result, there is a need for optimum wound dressing materials that promotes different wound healing cascades with ideal properties. Herein, Graphene Oxide loaded with vanadium (V) doped titanium dioxide (TiO2) blended with chitosan, and polyvinyl alcohol (CS/PVA/GO/TiO2-V) patch was developed for wound healing. XRD, FTIR and FE-SEM analyses were carried out to study the morphology and structural property of the patch. The fabricated patch has a high surface porosity, excellent moisture vapor transfer rate, appropriate swelling behaviour, and oxygen permeability, which results in an excellent moist environment for wound breathing and effective management of wound exudates. The antibacterial test showed significant antibacterial efficacy against wound infections in the presence of light when compared to dark. In-vitro analysis such as hemocompatibility, cytotoxicity, cell adhesion, and scratch assay show the predicted potential wound healing application with high biocompatibility. These results suggest that CS/PVA/GO/TiO2-V patch provides a microenvironment favourable to cells' growth and differentiation and positively modulates full-thickness wounds' healing.

Abstract
Water is a significant natural resource for humans. As such, wastewater containing heavy metals is seen as a grave problem for the environment. Currently, adsorption is one of the common methods used for both water purification and wastewater treatment. Adsorption relies on the physical and chemical interactions between heavy metal ions and adsorbents. Adsorptive membranes (AMs) have demonstrated high effectiveness in heavy metal removal from wastewater owing to their exclusive structural properties. This article examines the applications of adsorptive membranes such as polymeric membranes (PMs), polymer-ceramic membranes (PCMs), electrospinning nanofiber membranes (ENMs), and nano-enhanced membranes (NEMs), which demonstrate high selectivity and adsorption capacity for heavy metal ions, as well as both advantages and disadvantages of each one all, are summarized and compared shortly. Moreover, the general theories for both adsorption isotherms and adsorption kinetics are described briefly to comprehend the adsorption process. This work will be valuable to readers in understanding the current applications of various AMs and their mechanisms in heavy metal ion adsorption, as well as the recycling methods in heavy ions desorption process are summarized and described clearly. Besides, the influences of morphological and chemical structures of AMs are presented and described in detail as well.

Abstract
Contaminated air in battery recycling halls threatens the health of factory workers. In this work, a new 3D hydrogel was designed in a simulated salon with an innovative rotary module. The Pb(II), Fe(III) and SO42- was adsorbed from air. Solar energy was transferred by wind to the factory hall and absorbed moisture was evaporated. The hydrophilicity, stability in water and storage of Pb(II) and Fe(III) in the hydrogel were optimized. Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) theory, Field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) were employed to characterize and analyze the 3D hydrogel. The collector was able to quickly raise the wind temperature to 44 °C. In each cycle, in average 60% of air moisture was absorbed on the 3D hydrogel. The evaporation rate was more than 1.4 kg m-2 h-1. The efficiency of ions removal in each cycle was 82%. In the 0.68 m3 min-1 of wind flow the temperature was 43.3 °C and evaporation was done in a shorter time.

Abstract
A novel amino acid-modified biomacromolecule was designed and synthesized as the quaternary ammonium salt chitosan grafted-tyrosine (CA-g-Tyr) suitable for biomedical applications. L-tyrosine was grafted onto the quaternary ammonium salt chitosan (CA) by N-(3-dimethylaminopropy)-N-ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride (EDC) and N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS). The chemical structure of CA-g-Tyr was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and 13C-NMR. The change in the crystalline structure after the graft was characterized by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD). The surface wettability and moisturizing performance of the CA-g-Tyr were also characterized. The CA-g-Tyr film possessed good hydrophilicity, and the mechanical tensile experiments showed that the introduction of tyrosine gave CA mechanical properties more suitable for blood vessel. Cell experiments showed that the endothelial cells can adhere and proliferate better on the surface of a CA-g-Tyr film than CA. The results confirm the favorable properties and biocompatibility of CA-g-Tyr with potential applications as scaffolds for tissue engineering.

Abstract
A biofilm reactor was designed with flat ceramic substrates to remove Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) from industrial wastewater. The ceramics were made of clay and nano-rubber with high mechanical resistance. The surface of the ceramic substrate was modified with neutral fiber and nano-hydroxyapatite. A uniform and stable biofilm mass of 320 g with 2 mm of thickness was produced on the modified ceramic after 3 d. The micro-organisms were identified in the biofilm by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method. Functional groups of biofilms were identified with a Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FT-IR). Experiments were designed by central composite design (CCD) using the responsive surface method (RSM). The biosorption process was optimized at pH = 5.8, temperature = 22 °C, feed flux of heavy metal wastewater = 225 ml, substrate flow = 30 ml, and retention time = 7.825 h. The kinetic data was analyzed by pseudo first-order and pseudo second-order kinetic models. Isotherm models and thermodynamic parameters were applied to describe the biosorption equilibrium data of the metal ions on the biofilm-ceramic. The maximum biosorption efficiency and capacity of heavy metal ions were about 72% and 57.21 mg, respectively.

Abstract
The present work highlights the formation of a novel green nanofiber based on H2O2-assisted water-soluble chitosan/polyvinyl alcohol (WSCHT/PVA) by using water as an ecofriendly solvent and genipin used as a nontoxic cross-linker. The 20/80 blend ratio was found to have the most optimum uniform fiber morphology. WSCHT retained the same structure as WISCHT. The prepared nanofibers were characterized by Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform spectroscopy (FTIR), Thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA), Differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Water Contact Angle (WCA) and Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis). During electrospinning, the crystalline microstructure of the WSCHT/PVA underwent better solidification and after cross-linking there was an increase in the melting temperature of the fiber. Swelling ratio studies revealed noticeable increase in hydrophilicity with increase of WSCHT, which was further demonstrated by the decrease of contact angle from 64.74° to 14.68°. WSCHT/PVA nanofiber mats exhibit excellent UV blocking protection with less than 5% transmittance value and also showed improved in vitro drug release properties with stable release for longer duration (cross-linked fibers) and burst release for shorter duration (uncross linked) fibers. Finally our experimental data demonstrates excellent adsorption ability of Colour Index (C.I.) reactive black 5 (RB5) due to protonated amino groups.

Abstract
Currently, green-based materials are receiving attention in a quest to achieve a sustainable environment for human life. Herein, we report an investigation of developing a simple novel green nanofibre by using H₂O₂-assisted water soluble chitosan/polyvinyl alcohol (WSCHT/PVA) in the presence of water as an eco-friendly solvent. The effect of various process parameters on the mean fibre diameter was investigated based on the Taguchi L₉ ( 3 4 ) orthogonal array experimental design. Optimal process parameters were determined using the signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio of diameter according to the 'smaller-the-better' concept. Accordingly, the smallest fibre diameter observed was 122 nm and it was yielded at solution concentration of 10%; a voltage of 16 kV; a flow rate of 0.7 mL h-1; and a collection distance of 8 cm. The implications of a green environmentally sustainable material impact on a number of diverse end uses.

Abstract
Nanofiber nonwoven filters, especially those prepared by electrospinning, are of particular interest because of their high filtration efficiency. However, existing electrospun filters suffer from inherent limitations in that both strengths and filtration resistances of the filters leave much to be desired. Herein, we present a novel nonwoven filter that is composed of polysulphone and polyurethane nanofibers. By mimicking the honeycomb structure, a heterogeneous distribution of both fiber diameter and fiber density has been achieved. Compared with nanofiber nonwovens with plain architectures, the honeycomb-like nonwovens possess higher filtration efficiency (∼99.939%), better mechanical strength (∼105.24 N g-1) and improved quality factor (∼0.04 Pa-1). The filtration efficiency against both inorganic and organic aerosols is guaranteed through the nanofiber surface geometry and the intrinsic charge-retention capacity of polysulphone. Since the production of this nanofiber filter does not need multistep procedures and can be easily scaled up on a needleless electrospinning device, we anticipate that the strategy of endowing nanofibers with honeycomb texture and charge-retention capacity may lead to the development of advanced fiber filters.

Abstract
In this study, chitosan/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/zeolite nanofibrous composite membrane was fabricated via electrospinning. First, crude chitosan was hydrolyzed with NaOH for 24h. Afterward, hydrolyzed chitosan solution was blended with aqueous PVA solution in different weight ratios. Morphological analysis of chitosan/PVA electrospun nanofiber showed a defect-free nanofiber material with 50:50 weight ratio of chitosan/PVA. Subsequently, 1wt.% of zeolite was added to this blended solution of 50:50 chitosan/PVA. The resulting nanofiber was characterized with field emission scanning electron microscopy, X-Ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, swelling test, and adsorption test. Fine, bead-free nanofiber with homogeneous nanofiber was electrospun. The resulting membrane was stable in distilled water, acidic, and basic media in 20 days. Moreover, the adsorption ability of nanofibrous membrane was studied over Cr (VI), Fe (III), and Ni (II) ions using Langmuir isotherm. Kinetic parameters were estimated using the Lagergren first-order, pseudo-second-order, and intraparticle diffusion kinetic models. Kinetic study showed that adsorption rate was high. However, the resulting nanofiber membrane showed less adsorption capacity at high concentration. The adsorption capacity of nanofiber was unaltered after five recycling runs, which indicated the reusability of chitosan/PVA/zeolite nanofibrous membrane. Therefore, chitosan/PVA/zeolite nanofiber can be a useful material for water treatment at moderate concentration of heavy metals.

Abstract
Petroleum pollution is a common problem in industrial areas to such an extent that it poses a global threat. The wastes of oil refineries contain a wide variety of hydrocarbons. The aim of this study was to investigate the possibility to removal of total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) from the Behregan oil refinery, Bushehr, Iran, by granulated nanozeolite NaA particles (NaA-ZNPs) modified with cationic surfactants. Synthesized NaA-ZNPs with a silica source extracted from Hordeum vulgare were granulated by an alginate granulation method and were modified by the cationic surfactant hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB). The CTAB-modified granulated NaA-ZNPs were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and the Brunauer–Emmett–Teller theory. Adsorption of TPH was studied using both a batch process and a continuous-flow process in a fixed-bed column. The effect of various parameters, including time, pH, adsorbent dosage, flow rate, and column height, were investigated and the results were analyzed by gas chromatography – mass spectroscopy. The efficiency of the CTAB-modified granulated NaA-ZNPs was evaluated with one-way analysis of variance software SPSS 21. The highest TPH removal efficiency for batch processing (92.3%) was achieved at an adsorbent dosage 0.5 mg, pH = 7, and 20 min of contact time; the highest TPH removal efficiency for continuous processing (87.4%) was achieved at 15 cm column height and a 17.26 mL/min flow rate. The results indicated the potential of CTAB-modified granulated NaA-ZNPs for absorbing TPH in treating oil refinery waste.

Abstract
Fabrication of nanofibers based on polyvinyl alcohol and chitosan (PVA/chitosan) has been carried out by means of electrospinning with focusing on beads formation and diameter variation due to effects of weight ratio variations of PVA/chitosan. For electrospinning solution, the PVA/chitosan with artios of 10:1, 10:2 and 10:3 w/w were dissolved in 1% acetic acid. In addition, stability testing of PVA/chitosan nanofibers in an electrolyte solution was performed by soaking the nanofiber mat in KOH solution. As results, the addition of chitosan concentration increased the pH, conductivity, and viscosity of the solution. Beads were potentially generated for low chitosan concentration. Furthermore, the effect of viscosity and conductivity on diameter of electrospun nanofibers is very significant and need to be optimized. The average diameter of electrospun nanofibers were found to be 160 ± 18 nm, 120 ± 12 nm, and 148 ± 26 nm, for weight ratios of PVA and chitosan 10:1, 10:2 and 10:3, respectively. In addition, no significant change in morphology after being soaked the electrospun PVA/chitosan nanofibers in KOH 40 wt% solution for 24 hours. It indicates that the electrospun PVA/chitosan nanofibers is stable in electrolyte solution which shows a high potential for electrolyte membrane in fuel cells application.
