Abstract
BACKGROUND Dyspnoea is a common symptom of respiratory disease. However, data on its prevalence in general populations and its association with lung function are limited and are mainly from high-income countries. The aims of this study were to estimate the prevalence of dyspnoea across several world regions, and to investigate the association of dyspnoea with lung function. METHODS Dyspnoea was assessed, and lung function measured in 25,806 adult participants of the multinational Burden of Obstructive Lung Disease study. Dyspnoea was defined as ≥2 on the modified Medical Research Council (mMRC) dyspnoea scale. The prevalence of dyspnoea was estimated for each of the study sites and compared across countries and world regions. Multivariable logistic regression was used to assess the association of dyspnoea with lung function in each site. Results were then pooled using random-effects meta-analysis. RESULTS The prevalence of dyspnoea varied widely across sites without a clear geographical pattern. The mean prevalence of dyspnoea was 13.7 % (SD=8.2 %), ranging from 0 % in Mysore (India) to 28.8 % in Nampicuan-Talugtug (Philippines). Dyspnoea was strongly associated with both spirometry restriction (FVC CONCLUSION The prevalence of dyspnoea varies substantially across the world and is strongly associated with lung function impairment. Using the mMRC scale in epidemiological research should be discussed.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Umbilical hernia is common in patients with cirrhosis; however, there is a paucity of dedicated studies on postoperative outcomes in this group of patients. This population-based cohort study aimed to determine the outcomes after emergency and elective umbilical hernia repair in patients with cirrhosis. METHODS Two linked electronic healthcare databases from England were used to identify all patients undergoing umbilical hernia repair between January 2000 and December 2017. Patients were grouped into those with and without cirrhosis and stratified by severity into compensated and decompensated cirrhosis. Length of stay, readmission, 90-day case fatality rate and the odds ratio of 90-day postoperative mortality were defined using logistic regression. RESULTS In total, 22,163 patients who underwent an umbilical hernia repair were included and 297 (1.34%) had cirrhosis. More patients without cirrhosis had an elective procedure, 86% compared with 51% of those with cirrhosis (P < 0.001). In both the elective and emergency settings, patients with cirrhosis had longer hospital length of stay (elective: 0 vs 1 day, emergency: 2 vs 4 days, P < 0.0001) and higher readmission rates (elective: 4.87% vs 11.33%, emergency:11.39% vs 29.25%, P < 0.0001) than those without cirrhosis. The 90-day case fatality rates were 2% and 0.16% in the elective setting, and 19% and 2.96% in the emergency setting in patients with and without cirrhosis respectively. CONCLUSION Emergency umbilical hernia repair in patients with cirrhosis is associated with poorer outcomes in terms of length of stay, readmissions and mortality at 90 days.

Abstract
Background Chronic cough is a common respiratory symptom with an impact on daily activities and quality of life. Global prevalence data are scarce and derive mainly from European and Asian countries and studies with outcomes other than chronic cough. In this study, we aimed to estimate the prevalence of chronic cough across a large number of study sites as well as to identify its main risk factors using a standardised protocol and definition. Methods We analysed cross-sectional data from 33,983 adults (≥40 years), recruited between Jan 2, 2003 and Dec 26, 2016, in 41 sites (34 countries) from the Burden of Obstructive Lung Disease (BOLD) study. We estimated the prevalence of chronic cough for each site accounting for sampling design. To identify risk factors, we conducted multivariable logistic regression analysis within each site and then pooled estimates using random-effects meta-analysis. We also calculated the population attributable risk (PAR) associated with each of the identifed risk factors. Findings The prevalence of chronic cough varied from 3% in India (rural Pune) to 24% in the United States of America (Lexington,KY). Chronic cough was more common among females, both current and passive smokers, those working in a dusty job, those with a history of tuberculosis, those who were obese, those with a low level of education and those with hypertension or airflow limitation. The most influential risk factors were current smoking and working in a dusty job. Interpretation Our findings suggested that the prevalence of chronic cough varies widely across sites in different world regions. Cigarette smoking and exposure to dust in the workplace are its major risk factors. Funding Wellcome Trust.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The code ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) program is an operational standard of integrated service for STEMI patients carried out by Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital. The emerging coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak brought about many changes in the management of healthcare services, including the code STEMI program. This study aimed to evaluate the healthcare service quality of the Code STEMI program during the COVID-19 pandemic based on the Donabedian concept. Methods: This was a mixed-methods study using quantitative and qualitative analyses. It was conducted at the Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, a national referral hospital in Indonesia. We compared the data of each patient, including response time, clinical outcomes, length of stay, and cost, from two years between 2018-2020 and 2020-2022 as the pre-COVID-19 code STEMI and COVID-19 Code STEMI periods, respectively. Interviews were conducted to determine the quality of services from the perspectives of stakeholders. RESULTS A total of 195 patients participated in the study: 120 patients in pre-COVID-19 code STEMI and 75 patients in COVID-19 code STEMI. Our results showed that there was a significant increase in patient's length of stay during the COVID-19 pandemic (4 days vs. 6 days, p < 0.001). Meanwhile, MACE (13% vs. 11%, p = 0.581), the in-hospital mortality rate (8% vs. 5%, p = 0.706), door-to-wire crossing time (161 min vs. 173 min, p = 0.065), door-to-needle time (151 min vs. 143 min p = 0.953), and hospitalization cost (3,490 USD vs. 3,700 USD, p = 0.945) showed no significant changes. In terms of patient satisfaction, patients found code STEMI during COVID-19 to be responsive and excellent. CONCLUSION The implementation of the code STEMI program during the COVID-19 pandemic revealed that modified pathways were required because of the COVID-19 screening process. According to the Donabedian model, during the pandemic, the code STEMI program's healthcare service quality decreased because of a reduction in efficacy, effectiveness, efficiency, and optimality. Despite these limitations attributed to the pandemic, the code STEMI program was able to provide good services for STEMI patients.

Abstract
The study aimed to determine the prevalence and associated factors of depression, anxiety, and stress among the Malay Muslim transgender women in the northwestern states of Peninsular Malaysia. This mixed-method, quantitative and qualitative, study was conducted in collaboration with a nongovernmental organization that works incognito to advocate and help transgender women. Participants were recruited using a snowball method. A self-administered questionnaire was used that included information related to the demographic background of participants, and the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale and Oslo-3 Social Support Scale. For the qualitative part of the study, 13 in-depth interviews were conducted using a semi-structured interview guide in the Malay language. The study showed the prevalence of depression, anxiety, and stress was 33.3% (n = 47), 48.2% (n = 68), and 26.2% (n = 37), respectively. Difficulty in finding employment was significantly associated with depression, anxiety, and stress, whereas a history of physical abuse was also significantly associated with anxiety, and being ostracized by friends was significantly associated with depression. During in-depth interviews, suicidal thoughts were mentioned by several respondents and many lamented poor support from family and cisgender friends, and they complained of societal pressure. In addition to being physically and verbally abused, some also complained about cyberbullying. There is an urgent need to identify those with mental distress among transgender women in Malaysia to enable early interventions. More research is needed to identify mental health issues among transgender women and highlight these issues to sensitize the general public to their problems.

Abstract
Poverty is strongly associated with all-cause and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) mortality. Less is known about the contribution of poverty to spirometrically defined chronic airflow obstruction (CAO)-a key characteristic of COPD. Using cross-sectional data from an asset-based questionnaire to define poverty in 21 sites of the Burden of Obstructive Lung Disease study, we estimated the risk of CAO attributable to poverty. Up to 6% of the population over 40 years had CAO attributable to poverty. Understanding the relationship between poverty and CAO might suggest ways to improve lung health, especially in low-income and middle-income countries.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Spirometric small airways obstruction (SAO) is common in the general population. Whether spirometric SAO is associated with respiratory symptoms, cardiometabolic diseases, and quality of life (QoL) is unknown. METHODS Using data from the Burden of Obstructive Lung Disease study (N = 21,594), we defined spirometric SAO as the mean forced expiratory flow rate between 25 and 75% of the FVC (FEF25-75) less than the lower limit of normal (LLN) or the forced expiratory volume in 3 s to FVC ratio (FEV3/FVC) less than the LLN. We analysed data on respiratory symptoms, cardiometabolic diseases, and QoL collected using standardised questionnaires. We assessed the associations with spirometric SAO using multivariable regression models, and pooled site estimates using random effects meta-analysis. We conducted identical analyses for isolated spirometric SAO (i.e. with FEV1/FVC ≥ LLN). RESULTS Almost a fifth of the participants had spirometric SAO (19% for FEF25-75; 17% for FEV3/FVC). Using FEF25-75, spirometric SAO was associated with dyspnoea (OR = 2.16, 95% CI 1.77-2.70), chronic cough (OR = 2.56, 95% CI 2.08-3.15), chronic phlegm (OR = 2.29, 95% CI 1.77-4.05), wheeze (OR = 2.87, 95% CI 2.50-3.40) and cardiovascular disease (OR = 1.30, 95% CI 1.11-1.52), but not hypertension or diabetes. Spirometric SAO was associated with worse physical and mental QoL. These associations were similar for FEV3/FVC. Isolated spirometric SAO (10% for FEF25-75; 6% for FEV3/FVC), was also associated with respiratory symptoms and cardiovascular disease. CONCLUSION Spirometric SAO is associated with respiratory symptoms, cardiovascular disease, and QoL. Consideration should be given to the measurement of FEF25-75 and FEV3/FVC, in addition to traditional spirometry parameters.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Small airways obstruction is a common feature of obstructive lung diseases. Research is scarce on small airways obstruction, its global prevalence, and risk factors. We aimed to estimate the prevalence of small airways obstruction, examine the associated risk factors, and compare the findings for two different spirometry parameters. METHODS The Burden of Obstructive Lung Disease study is a multinational cross-sectional study of 41 municipalities in 34 countries across all WHO regions. Adults aged 40 years or older who were not living in an institution were eligible to participate. To ensure a representative sample, participants were selected from a random sample of the population according to a predefined site-specific sampling strategy. We included participants' data in this study if they completed the core study questionnaire and had acceptable spirometry according to predefined quality criteria. We excluded participants with a contraindication for lung function testing. We defined small airways obstruction as either mean forced expiratory flow rate between 25% and 75% of the forced vital capacity (FEF25-75) less than the lower limit of normal or forced expiratory volume in 3 s to forced vital capacity ratio (FEV3/FVC ratio) less than the lower limit of normal. We estimated the prevalence of pre-bronchodilator (ie, before administration of 200 μg salbutamol) and post-bronchodilator (ie, after administration of 200 μg salbutamol) small airways obstruction for each site. To identify risk factors for small airways obstruction, we performed multivariable regression analyses within each site and pooled estimates using random-effects meta-analysis. FINDINGS 36 618 participants were recruited between Jan 2, 2003, and Dec 26, 2016. Data were collected from participants at recruitment. Of the recruited participants, 28 604 participants had acceptable spirometry and completed the core study questionnaire. Data were available for 26 443 participants for FEV3/FVC ratio and 25 961 participants for FEF25-75. Of the 26 443 participants included, 12 490 were men and 13 953 were women. Prevalence of pre-bronchodilator small airways obstruction ranged from 5% (34 of 624 participants) in Tartu, Estonia, to 34% (189 of 555 participants) in Mysore, India, for FEF25-75, and for FEV3/FVC ratio it ranged from 5% (31 of 684) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to 31% (287 of 924) in Salzburg, Austria. Prevalence of post-bronchodilator small airways obstruction was universally lower. Risk factors significantly associated with FEV3/FVC ratio less than the lower limit of normal included increasing age, low BMI, active and passive smoking, low level of education, working in a dusty job for more than 10 years, previous tuberculosis, and family history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Results were similar for FEF25-75, except for increasing age, which was associated with reduced odds of small airways obstruction. INTERPRETATION Despite the wide geographical variation, small airways obstruction is common and more prevalent than chronic airflow obstruction worldwide. Small airways obstruction shows the same risk factors as chronic airflow obstruction. However, further research is required to investigate whether small airways obstruction is also associated with respiratory symptoms and lung function decline. Abstract
BACKGROUND Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease has been associated with exposures in the workplace. We aimed to assess the association of respiratory symptoms and lung function with occupation in the Burden of Obstructive Lung Disease study. METHODS We analysed cross-sectional data from 28 823 adults (≥40 years) in 34 countries. We considered 11 occupations and grouped them by likelihood of exposure to organic dusts, inorganic dusts and fumes. The association of chronic cough, chronic phlegm, wheeze, dyspnoea, forced vital capacity (FVC) and forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1)/FVC with occupation was assessed, per study site, using multivariable regression. These estimates were then meta-analysed. Sensitivity analyses explored differences between sexes and gross national income. RESULTS Overall, working in settings with potentially high exposure to dusts or fumes was associated with respiratory symptoms but not lung function differences. The most common occupation was farming. Compared to people not working in any of the 11 considered occupations, those who were farmers for ≥20 years were more likely to have chronic cough (OR 1.52, 95% CI 1.19-1.94), wheeze (OR 1.37, 95% CI 1.16-1.63) and dyspnoea (OR 1.83, 95% CI 1.53-2.20), but not lower FVC (β=0.02 L, 95% CI -0.02-0.06 L) or lower FEV1/FVC (β=0.04%, 95% CI -0.49-0.58%). Some findings differed by sex and gross national income. CONCLUSION At a population level, the occupational exposures considered in this study do not appear to be major determinants of differences in lung function, although they are associated with more respiratory symptoms. Because not all work settings were included in this study, respiratory surveillance should still be encouraged among high-risk dusty and fume job workers, especially in low- and middle-income countries.

Abstract
Transgender topics are controversial in Malaysia and trans people are subject to stigma and persecution. In this study context, the transition is defined as a phase where a person changes from one gender to the gender that an individual chooses. Little is known about the transgender people's transition experiences in Malaysia. Studies have shown that transition helps boost transgender individuals in most aspects. This study seeks to understand the transition experiences of the Malay Muslim Trans women in Northern Malaysia. A qualitative study using a snowball sampling method was used to interview in-depth 13 trans women. The interviews focused on their gender transition experiences, support systems, family and friends' reactions, and coping strategies. The study found four primary themes: transition, reaction, support system, and coping method. Most of the respondents agreed that they felt conflicted about their gender at a young age and started transitioning when they were adolescents. Overall acceptance and reaction of family and society to their transition was low and not good. Most mentioned the importance of a good support system and that they received essential support from their peers in the transgender community. However, they acknowledged that family support was also crucial for them. All of the respondents specified that they did not regret their gender transition. Although this study gained insight, more is needed to understand in depth a very sensitive subject such as this.

Abstract
Background Malaria is still a major public health threat in some parts of the world. Many countries are targeting to achieve malaria free status country. This study aimed to determine the sero-prevalence of malaria and the knowledge, attitudes and practices relating to the prevention of malaria among the indigenous adults living in the central forest spine in Peninsular Malaysia. Methods A mixed method study was conducted in indigenous settlements in 2020. Blood film for malaria parasite (BFMP) was used to diagnose malaria in this study. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from the participants. For the qualitative data, in-depth interviews were conducted and data was collected until data saturation was reached. Multiple linear regression was used to determine the predictors after adjusting for confounders. A p-value of < 0.05 is considered as statistically significant. Meaningful statements from the in-depth interviews were assigned to the relevant codes using NVivo version 12 software. Results A total of 284 indigenous people participated in the study. The prevalence of malaria in this study was 0%. Those in the middle age group between 25 and 41 years and tested positive for malaria previously were significantly more likely to have better knowledge and attitude scores. Significant correlations were also observed between knowledge-attitude and knowledge-practice. For the qualitative results, most of the respondents were unsure of monkey malaria, but all were aware of human malaria. Conclusion The present study highlighted the absence of malaria in the study population and relatively good knowledge, attitudes and practices relating to the prevention of malaria.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Lifestyle-induced nasopharyngeal carcinoma is a serious but preventable risk factor. This study serves to develop and validate a questionnaire that aims to predict the health behavioural intention on smoking cessation in Sarawak, Malaysia using the Health Belief Model (HBM). DESIGN A cross-sectional study. SETTING Urban and suburban areas in Sarawak, Malaysia. PARTICIPANTS The preliminary items of the instrument were developed after extensive literature review. The instrument was translated into the Malay language using the forward-backwards method before commencing with the content validity by a panel of 10 experts. Face validity was done both quantitatively and qualitatively by 10 smokers. The construct validity of the instrument was evaluated through exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). A total of 100 smokers participated in phase 1 for EFA, while 171 smokers participated in phase 2 for CFA. Internal consistency was measured using Cronbach's alpha coefficients to evaluate the reliability. RESULTS In the exploratory stage, the factor loading of each item remained within the acceptable threshold. The final revised CFA yielded appropriate fit of the seven-factor model with the following model fit indices: χ2=641.705; df=500; p<0.001; comparative fit index=0.953; Tucker-Lewis Index=0.948; root mean square error of approximation=0.041. Satisfactory convergent validity and divergent validity were shown, with the exception of one pairwise construct. The internal reliability of these scales was above the desirable threshold, with Cronbach's alpha coefficients ranging from 0.705 to 0.864 and 0.838 to 0.889 in phases 1 and 2, respectively. CONCLUSIONS The study substantiated the instrument to be valid and reliable for predicting smokers' health behavioural intention to reduce cancer risk. The instrument is made up of 34 items, categorised into two sections, six HBM constructs and health behavioural intention. The instrument can be utilised for other smoking cessation-related cancers in different at-risk populations.

Abstract
Introduction
Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a well-established complication after colectomy. VTE prophylaxis guidelines for benign colorectal disease is scarce, partly due to the paucity of studies reporting post-operative VTE rates of benign disease. This meta-analysis aimed to quantify the VTE risk after benign colorectal resection and determine its variability.
Methods
Embase, Medline, and 4 other registered medical databases were searched from database inception to 21 June 2021. Inclusion criteria: RCTs and large population-based database cohort studies reporting 30-day and 90-day VTE rates after benign colorectal resection in patients aged ≥18 years. Exclusion criteria: Patients undergoing colorectal cancer surgery. Studies were grouped for meta-analysis according to post-operative follow-up duration, admission type and indication for surgery.
Results
17 studies were eligible for meta-analysis reporting on 250,170 patients. Pooled 30-day and 90-day VTE incidence rates after benign colorectal resection were 284 (95%CI, 224–360) and 84 (95%CI, 33–218) per 1,000 person-years. Stratified by admission type, 30-day VTE incidence rates per 1,000 person-years were 532 (95% CI, 447–664) for emergency and 213 (95% CI, 100–453) for elective colorectal resections. 30-day VTE incidence rates per 1,000 person-years postcolectomy were 485 (95%CI, 411–573) for ulcerative colitis, 228 (95%CI, 181–288) for Crohn's disease and 208 (95%CI, 152–288) for diverticulitis patients.
Conclusion
VTE rates remain high up to 90-days after colectomy. Emergency compared to elective benign resections have higher rates of post-operative VTE. Further studies reporting VTE rates by type of benign disease need to stratify rates by admission type to more accurately define postcolectomy VTE risk.
Take-home message
VTE risk following benign colorectal surgery is high, especially among those who underwent emergency surgery. Extended venous thromboprophylaxis should be considered for these group of patients.

Abstract
This study was performed to determine the seropositivity of human brucellosis among the patients suffering from pyrexia of unidentified origin. This cross-sectional study was performed at department of Microbiology, Mymensingh Medical College, Mymensingh, Bangladesh from September 2018 to August 2019; among the patients of pyrexia of unknown origin visited inpatient and outpatient facility of department of Medicine and department of Paediatrics, Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) in Mymensingh division of Bangladesh. A total of 400 serum samples were screened by Brucella-specific latex agglutination test to determine seropositivity. Seven percent (7.0%) (28/400) serum samples were found to be seropositive for brucellosis by detecting Brucella-specific antibody at a titer ≥1:160. Therefore, Brucella-specific latex agglutination test may be recommended as a screening test for human brucellosis in developing and underdeveloped countries.

Abstract
Introduction The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted numerous fundamental systems ranging from businesses to education system. The long-term consequences of the Pandemic, namely virtual learning and prolonged social isolation are coming to fruition in Child/Adolescent-Psychiatric Emergency-Rooms (CAP-ER). Discontinuity of in-person attendance of schools has poorly impacted the mental health of children and adolescents (C&A) of low-socioeconomic areas, who often rely on schools for meals, physical activity, and mental-health support. An increase in agitation, suicidal ideation, and a declining school performance has been observed in such situations. Objectives The primary objective of this study is to explore the increase in these symptoms as the presenting complaint in the psychiatric ER. Methods Between April to June 2021 a cross-sectional quality improvement (QI) study was done on children presenting to CAP-ER BronxCare-Hospital NY with psychiatric complaints. Concomitant substance use disorder was determined using CRAFT questionnaire. Results Our data comprised 209 patients (84 M/125 F) with 79 children and 130 adolescents. Ethnicity: 116 Hispanics (56%), 84 African Americans (40%), and 9 others. The most common presenting complaints were aggression (111, 53%), suicidal ideation/suicide attempt (50, 24%), acute exacerbation of chronic illness (7, 3.3%), accidental overdosage (5, 2.3%) and others (36, 17.4). Marijuana was the most used substance (34 patients). Conclusions There has been a surge in severity of presentation of psychiatric disorders among children and adolescents, aggression so far, the most prevalent. Further studies are needed to delineate the social links with this high emergent load and pandemic. Disclosure No significant relationships.

Abstract
Purpose: There are no national data on hormone use by trans women in Malaysia. The objective of this study was to determine hormone use and the associated factors by trans women in Malaysia. Methods: This mixed method (quantitative and qualitative) study (JPEC 03-18-0021) was conducted using a self-administered questionnaire among trans women who used hormones and recruited using snow ball sampling method. All participants had undergone a blood test in an assigned laboratory. Besides total testosterone and total estradiol blood levels, renal and liver function tests and lipid profile were done. Results: A total of 111 out of the 141 respondents who participated were taking hormones. The main reason for not taking hormones was the concern for side effects. The main source of information concerning hormones was friends, and most procured the hormones from pharmacy without prescription and without first undergoing a physical or blood examination. All were on estrogens and only about half were on progesterone. The common mode of intake was oral and by injection. Most were on <4 mg of estrogens and did not report any major complication. Most rated the hormone affordability and satisfaction as good. Most had inadequate testosterone and estradiol blood levels. Except for total cholesterol and low-density lipoproteins, all other blood tests were normal. Correlation between serum testosterone and estradiol (R2 0.012. B−9.273 (95% confidence interval −16.44 to −2.11). p=0.012) was statistically significant. Conclusion: The prevalence of hormone use was high, mostly nonprescription use and with no medical supervision.

Abstract
Introduction
The COVID-19 pandemic presented a global public-health crisis that demanded healthcare to adapt at an unprecedented pace. While challenging, it also created opportunities for the advancement of novel electronic-treatment-modalities. Telepsychiatry has emerged as an effective method to ensure continuity of care and ensure social distancing.1 Studies indicate that mental-health patients have higher rates of noncompliance to follow-up,
1 thus finding means to increase compliance is critical.
Objectives
The objectives of this study are to determine the impact of telepsychiatry on compliance to follow-up and to identify numbers of psychiatric/medical emergency-room visits, most common contributing factors for admission, and compliance in terms of diagnosis.
Methods
This IRB approved study is a retrospective chart-review, that aims to study children/adolescents (5-18 years) who presented to the Child&Adolescent-Psychiatry Outpatient-clinic from July-December 2020 and engaged in telepsychiatry, compared to a group of patients presented in July-December 2019-Pre-Covid19-Pandemic. A review of clinical characteristics including diagnosis, demographic information, medication, and treatment compliance will be compared as well as admissions to inpatient-psychiatry/emergency-room visits.
Results
Our total sample (N=252) included patients from 2019-Pre-COVID19 (N=111) and 2020 Telehealth during COVID19-Pandemic (N=141). Our data analysis using SPSF and T-test has shown that Telehealth has significantly increased follow-up compliance (Two-tailed P-value=0.04); 2019-Pre-COVID outreach mean=0.06, 2020-Telehealth-during COVID outreach mean=0.02); significantly decreased ER/CPEP visits (P-value=0.02), and decreased In-patient-unit admissions (P-value=0.02).
Conclusions
According to the presented study, the incorporation of telepsychiatry has increased the compliance to psychiatric-care in outpatient and decreased the emergency-room visits and inpatient admission. Sufficient resources and steps need to be taken to further strengthen telehealth services.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to understand how the COVID-19 pandemic dramatically impacts the maturity of all industrial sectors globally. This paper analyses the general patterns of managing maturity in terms of performance and risk-taking of S&P 500 industrial sectors while determining their association with COVID-19.
Design/methodology/approach
To analyse the immediate response of COVID-19 on maturity management, the authors gather time-series daily index data of S&P sectors from October 2019 until June 2020 from Bloomberg. The authors select this study period to show the immediate effect of COVID-19 on industrial sector maturity management. The performance and volatility of stock are proxies for managing the maturity of each sector. The authors use vector auto-regression (VAR) methodology to determine the impact of global coronavirus.
Findings
This study’s findings suggest that the information technology sectors outperform the other sectors; in contrast, the utility sector exhibits the worst performance during a pandemic. Furthermore, the real estate sector depicts a higher level of systematic risk pattern than other sectors. Interestingly, the empirical result of VAR shows that almost every sector is significantly negatively affected by this pandemic; however, the consumer discretionary sector is immune to it.
Research limitations/implications
Overall, this study’s findings for individual economic sectors demonstrate that the managing maturity of each sector acts differently to the coronavirus outbreak. This study offers insights to researchers, policymakers, regulators, financial report users, investors, employees, clients and society.
Originality/value

Abstract
BACKGROUND Whether percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) improves clinical outcomes in patients with chronic angina and stable coronary artery disease (CAD) has been a continuing area of investigation for more than two decades. The recently reported results of the International Study of Comparative Health Effectiveness with Medical and Invasive Approaches, the largest prospective trial of optimal medical therapy (OMT) with or without myocardial revascularization, provides a unique opportunity to determine whether there is an incremental benefit of revascularization in stable CAD patients. METHODS Scientific databases and websites were searched to find randomized clinical trials (RCTs). Pooled risk ratios were calculated using the random-effects model. RESULTS Data from 10 RCTs comprising 12 125 patients showed that PCI, when added to OMT, were not associated with lower all-cause mortality (risk ratios, 0.96; 95% CI, 0.87-1.08), cardiovascular mortality (risk ratios, 0.91; 95% CI, 0.79-1.05) or myocardial infarction (MI) (risk ratios, 0.90; 95% CI, 0.78-1.04) as compared with OMT alone. However, OMT+PCI was associated with improved anginal symptoms and a lower risk for revascularization (risk ratios, 0.52; 95% CI, 0.37-0.75). CONCLUSIONS In patient with chronic stable CAD (without left main disease or reduced ejection fraction), PCI in addition to OMT did not improve mortality or MI compared to OMT alone. However, this strategy is associated with a lower rate of revascularization and improved anginal symptoms.

Abstract
Stretchable electronics is a new innovation and becoming popular in various fields, especially in the healthcare sector. Since stretchable electronics use less printed circuit boards (PCBs), it is expected that the environmental performance of a stretchable electronics-based device is better than a rigid electronics-based device that provides the same functionalities. Yet, such a study is rarely available. Thus, the main purpose of this research is to perform a comparative life cycle analysis of stretchable and rigid electronics-based devices. This research combines both the case study approach and the research review approach. For the case study, a cardiac monitoring device with both stretchable and rigid electronics is used. The ISO 14044:2006 standard's prescribed LCA approach and ReCiPe 2016 Midpoint (Hierarchist) are followed for the impact assessment using the SimaPro 9.1 software. The LCA results show that the stretchable cardiac monitoring device has better environmental performance in all eighteen impact categories. This research also shows that the manufacturing process of stretchable electronics has lower environmental impacts than those for rigid electronics. The main reasons for the improved environmental performance of stretchable electronics are lower consumption of raw material as well as decreased energy consumption during manufacturing. Based on the LCA results of a cardiac monitoring device, the study concludes that stretchable electronics and their manufacturing process have better environmental performance in comparison with the rigid electronics and their manufacturing process.

Abstract
Aims: Aim of this investigation was to access the association of dyslipidemia with subclinical hypothyroidism.
Methodology: In this cross-sectional investigation, 1948 participants were recruited. Two groups were made; participants up to 18 years were in group A and Subjects over 18 years were incorporated in group 2. They were subdivided into control, subclinical hypothyroid 1, and subclinical hypothyroid 2. SPSS 21 was used for data analysis.
Results: Data of 1619 individuals were analyzed. The mean age of Group A participants was 12.79 ± 2.779, and the mean age of Group B participants was 42.58 ± 18.012. The prevalence of subclinical hypothyroid was found at 13.5 %. Significant differences have been observed while comparing Group A and Group B (P <0.001). Free tetraiodothyronine and Free triiodothyronine also showed a significant difference in both groups. (P<0.05). No significant difference between mean Thyroid-stimulating hormone levels was observed (P>0.05). No significant association between Controls and High-density Lipid values was found between Controls and subclinical hypothyroid.
Conclusion: We conclude that subclinical hypothyroidism leads to increased dyslipidemia. Lower Serum total cholesterol and low-density lipid levels were detected among children and participants under the age of 18 with Thyroid-stimulating hormone greater than 10 mIU/L. Thyroid-stimulating hormone less than 10.0 mIU/L had no lipid abnormalities in subclinical hypothyroid participants.

Abstract
Objective: Our research was designed to evaluate the association of uncontrolled hypertension with coronary artery disease and analyze the role of intervention in preventing CAD mortality ratio.
Methodology: This case controlled single-center study was conducted in department of Medicine, Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences Nawabshah Pakistan from January 2020 to September 2021. In this study, BP screening was done among the adult population aged 50 years or over. All the recruited patients of coronary artery disease were divided into two main groups for a clinical trial; case (identified cases of uncontrolled hypertension) and the control group (without history of cardiovascular disorders and used medication for hypertension). For evaluating physician intervention, both groups were divided into two main groups for treatments; the standard Bp control (having <140 mm Hg SBP level) and the intensive blood pressure control (whose SPB <120 mm Hg). we used BP-lowering medication which adjusted the systolic blood pressure around 135–139 mm Hg in the standard group and less than 120 in intensive group.
Results: Overall the female prevalence was comparatively high (63.2%) than males (37%). No significant differences were found in the baseline characteristics of participants. In 42% of cases, we found coronary artery calcification. Univariate logistic analysis of our study demonstrates the association of CAD with age, smoking, and BMI. We also found a positive association of CAD with higher CRP, and uncontrolled hypertension.
Conclusion: Our study observed a significant association between uncontrolled hypertension and coronary artery disease. The results of our study concluded that interventions in terms of BP control might be affected due to pre-existing cardiovascular diseases. However, intensive BP treatment would help to reduce the mortality ratio of CAD patients.

Aim
To assess whether the timing of post-operative Phosphodiesterase Inhibitor (PDE5i) therapy after Robot Assisted Radical Prostatectomy (RARP) is associated with a change in early erectile function, continence, or safety outcomes.
Method
Data was prospectively collected from a single surgeon in one tertiary centre and retrospectively evaluated. 158 patients were treated with PDE5i therapy post RARP over a two-year period.
Results
There were no significant differences in pre-operative characteristics between the therapy groups. Patients that had bilateral nerve sparing had a mean drop in Erectile Function (EF) score by 5.4 compared to 8.8 in the unilateral group. Additionally, 34.9% of bilateral nerve sparing patients returned to baseline compared to 12.1% of unilateral. Drop in EF scores and percentage return to baseline for unilateral nerve sparing was respectively 9 and 11.1% of immediate (day 1-2), 7 and 14.8% of early (day 3-14) and 9.7 and 9.5% of late (day >14) therapy (p = 0.9 and p = 0.6). For bilateral nerve sparing this was respectively 3.5 and 42.9% immediate therapy, 5.5 and 35.5% early therapy and 7.3 and 25% late therapy (p = 0.017 and p = 0.045). Pad free and social continence was achieved in 54% and 37% of those receiving immediate therapy, 60% and 33% for early therapy and 26% and 54% for late therapy. There were no differences in compliance, complication, or readmission outcomes.
Conclusions
Immediate PDE5i therapy should be considered in patients following nerve sparing RARP in order to maximise functional outcomes, especially in those undergoing bilateral nerve spare.

Objectives
Routine postoperative blood tests (POBT) following robot assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) are used to evaluate the impact of surgery on pre-existing co-morbidities and to detect early complications. This practice dates back to an era of open surgery, when blood loss and complication rates were higher. We propose new guidelines to improve the specificity of POBT.
Method
The cases of 1040 consecutive patients who underwent a primary or salvage RARP at two large tertiary urology centres in the United Kingdom were retrospectively reviewed to form new guidelines. The new guidelines were prospectively validated in a sample of 300 patients.
Results
Derivation Dataset: 3% and 5% had intra- and post-operative Clavien-Dindo complications, respectively. 15% had clinical concerns postoperatively. 0.9% required perioperative transfusion. 78% had routine blood tests without clinical concerns, none of whom developed a complication. 98% of complications were suspected by clinical judgement. 6% of patients had a discharge delay of ≥ 1 day due to delayed or incomplete blood tests. Validation Dataset: No significant difference existed in complication, clinical concern or transfusion rates between the derivation and validation datasets. Number of POBT requested reduced by 73% (p < 0.001). The new guidelines improved POBT sensitivity for complications from 98% to 100% and specificity from 0% to 74%. Discharge delays reduced from 6% to 0% (p = 0.008). Cost savings were £178 per patient.
Conclusions
Postoperative complications and transfusion following RARP are rare. Routine POBT without clinical indication are unnecessary and inefficient. A guideline-based approach to POBT can reduce costs and optimise discharge without compromising patient safety or care.

Discharge delays reduced from 6% to 0% (P = 0.008). Cost savings were £178 per patient.
Conclusion

Introduction
Patients undergoing RARP commonly require routine post-operative blood tests. This practice dates from an era of open surgery, with increased blood loss and complications. We aim to improve specificity of blood test requests with novel guidelines.
Method
1039 consecutive RARP patients at two tertiary urology centres in the UK were audited. Novel guidelines constructed based on risk stratified evidence from the initial audit were used to prospectively audit 133 patients.
Results
16% had clinical concerns post-operatively. 1% and 4% had an intra- and post-operative complication. Intra- or post-operative clinical judgement flagged post-operative complications in 99.9%. 80% had routine blood tests with no clinical concerns. 6% had delayed discharge due to delayed processing of blood tests. 0.9% received a peri-operative transfusion.
Re-Audit Novel guidelines reduced the number of blood tests requested from 100% to 36%. Specificity in diagnosing a complication improved from 0% to 67%. Discharge delays reduced from 6% to 0% and no post-operative complications were missed (sensitivity 100%).
Conclusions
Routine blood tests, without an indication, did not flag any additional post-operative complications. Blood transfusion is rare for RARP. Novel guidelines to request post-operative blood tests will reduce costs and discharge delays whilst maintaining appropriate patient safety and care.

Introduction
To assess whether the timing of post-RARP PDE5i therapy affects early erectile function, continence, or safety outcomes.
Method
Data from 158 patients treated with PDE5is post-RARP was prospectively collected over two years from a single surgeon at one tertiary centre and retrospectively evaluated. Therapy was started: immediately (day 1-2) in 29%, early (day 3-14) in 37% and late (after day 14) post-op in 34%. EPIC-26 Erectile Function (EF) scores were collected pre-op and post-op after a median 43-day follow-up interval.
Results
Drop in EF scores and percentage return to baseline post unilateral nerve sparing (UNS) compared to bilateral nerve sparing (BNS) RARP was respectively 9 and 11.1% versus 3.5 and 42.9% of immediate therapy, 7 and 14.8% versus 5.5 and 35.5% of early and 9.7 and 9.5% versus 7.3 and 25% of late. Pad free and social continence was achieved in 54% and 37% of those receiving immediate therapy, 60% and 33% for early and 26% and 54% for late.
Conclusions
Immediate post RARP PDE5i therapy may protect EF and should be considered clinically, with more benefits for BNS than UNS patients. Immediate or early, rather than late, PDE5i therapy improved early continence in BNS patients.

Introduction
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic a virtual burns service was established in Northern Ireland to reduce face-to-face consultations to only complex burns or those necessitating hospital admission to the regional unit.
Method
A combination of telephone calls, emails, photography, and Microsoft Teams software was utilised to facilitate a virtual review service. Our initial adoption of the system was audited during April and May 2020. Through Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) methodology an electronic tertiary-referral proforma was established prior to closure of the audit cycle in July 2020.
Results
From the start of lockdown a significant reduction in face-to-face consultations was observed. Given the increasing use of virtual telephone consultation only 19.5% of the unit's total referrals (April, May, and July) were either reviewed face-to-face in dressing clinic or admitted. A target of 100% data point entry (including demographic, clinical, and initial management) for patients entering the virtual service was set. Following implementation of the e-Referral pathway an improvement in both the detail and completeness (95%) of patient referral information was achieved.
Conclusions
Our experience demonstrates that virtual burns care can be safely and rapidly adapted in response to evolving need. The potential role of virtual care post-COVID, in selected patients, is an exciting one.

Abstract
We describe the utilization of SpaceOAR Vue™, a new iodinated rectal spacer, during Robotic Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) for a Prostate Cancer Patient with a contraindication to Magnetic Resonance Imaging. A 69-year-old Caucasian male presented with unfavorable intermediate risk prostate cancer and elected to undergo SBRT. His medical history was significant for atrial fibrillation on Rivaroxaban with a pacemaker. He was felt to be at increased risk of radiation proctitis following SBRT due to the inability to accurately contour the anterior rectal wall at the prostate apex without a treatment planning MRI and an increased risk of late rectal bleeding due to prescribed anticoagulants. In this case report, we discuss the technical aspects of appropriate placement and treatment planning for utilizing SpaceOAR Vue™ with Robotic SBRT.

Abstract
Introduction Fluorosis has been associated with an increased risk of degenerative changes in the knee. Multiple studies have found an association between arthritis and elevated fluoride levels. We aim to delineate if elevated fluoride level has any direct correlation with the degree of radiological grading and clinical symptoms in knee arthritis. Materials and Methods A cross-sectional study of 80 knee arthritis patients was conducted from February 2017 to April 2018. Serum fluoride levels were measured and patient's pain scores, WOMAC scores and radiological grading were correlated with the elevated fluoride levels. Results In our study, 30 out of 80 patients had increased serum fluoride level. Statistically significant differences were noted in VAS score, WOMAC score and Kellgren and Lawrence radiological grades between patients with normal serum fluoride level and those with elevated fluoride level. Conclusion There is an increased risk of knee arthritis in patients with elevated blood fluoride levels and patients with increased fluoride levels are associated with more severe symptoms and radiographic disease.

Abstract
Rationale: The Global Burden of Disease programme identified smoking, and ambient and household air pollution as the main drivers of death and disability from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Objective: To estimate the attributable risk of chronic airflow obstruction (CAO), a quantifiable characteristic of COPD, due to several risk factors. Methods: The Burden of Obstructive Lung Disease study is a cross-sectional study of adults, aged≥40, in a globally distributed sample of 41 urban and rural sites. Based on data from 28,459 participants, we estimated the prevalence of CAO, defined as a post-bronchodilator one-second forced expiratory volume to forced vital capacity ratio < lower limit of normal, and the relative risks associated with different risk factors. Local RR were estimated using a Bayesian hierarchical model borrowing information from across sites. From these RR and the prevalence of risk factors, we estimated local Population Attributable Risks (PAR). Measurements and Main Results: Mean prevalence of CAO was 11.2% in men and 8.6% in women. Mean PAR for smoking was 5.1% in men and 2.2% in women. The next most influential risk factors were poor education levels, working in a dusty job for ≥10 years, low body mass index (BMI), and a history of tuberculosis. The risk of CAO attributable to the different risk factors varied across sites. Conclusions: While smoking remains the most important risk factor for CAO, in some areas poor education, low BMI and passive smoking are of greater importance. Dusty occupations and tuberculosis are important risk factors at some sites.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This paper describes the result of workshops conducted to increase the knowledge and awareness of university students using a multidisciplinary, collaborative, multisectoral and trans-disciplinary approach concerning One Health and the indigenous people of peninsular Malaysia called the Orang Asli. METHODS A non-experimental pre and post-test intervention study was carried out among medical, veterinary and allied health students from six public and private universities who attended workshops on One Heath in two Orang Asli communities living by the Temenggor lake in Malaysia as part of the Malaysia One Health University Network (MYOHUN) efforts in training future and present One Health workforce. RESULTS There was a significant increase in various aspects of knowledge and interest concerning One Health and the Orang Asli. The mean knowledge scores of One Health (p < 0.001) and Orang Asli (p < 0.001) increased significantly post workshop. A repeated measures ANOVA with a Greenhouse-Geisser correction showed the mean scores of knowledge of One Health F (1, 166) = 127.198, p < 0.001) and Orang Asli F (1, 166) = 214.757, p < 0.001) differed statistically significantly between the two time points. The test revealed that the score differences for knowledge on One Health (mean difference = 1.796, p < 0.001) and Orang Asli (mean difference = 4.940, p < 0.001) were statistically significant. Repeated measures ANOVA showed a significant difference in the knowledge on Orang Asli between the students of different courses F (4,166) = 3.734, p-0.006. The difference in the One Health knowledge scores between the students of different courses was not statistically significant F (4,166) = 0.998, p = 0.410. CONCLUSIONS Emphasis on field training in relation to One health can provide university students greater levels of preparedness to combat zoonotic diseases.

Abstract
Morel Lavallée lesion or closed degloving injury is normally associated with severe trauma and occurs when the skin and subcutaneous fatty tissue traumatically and abruptly separated from the underlying fascia thus creating a potential space filled with fluid. MVA is the commonest etiology but large or lethal Morel Lavallée is extremely rare. A 35 years old, female pillion rider was involved in a motor vehicle accident and sustained injuries to the left pelvis and thigh. Emergency laparotomy and intra-op abdominal and bilateral lower limb arteriogram revealed no significant finding. Her general condition and vital signs continued to deteriorate despite aggressive resuscitation and eventually died. Post-Mortem Computed Tomography and Post-Mortem Computed Tomography Angiogram was performed and revealed a large cavity in the left thigh suggestive of a lethal Morel Lavallée lesion. Findings were confirmed by conventional autopsy.

Abstract
While there are many risks that increase an individuals’ exposure to infectious diseases such as Hepatitis B, occupational exposure increases one’s risk to acquire such infections. The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of Hepatitis B among municipal solid waste collectors and their knowledge, attitude and practice towards the prevention of Hepatitis B. An analytical cross-sectional study was carried out among solid waste collectors in Penang Island from November 2017 to Mei 2018. The inclusion criteria of this study were solid waste collectors who have been working for at least 6 months and able to understand either Malay or English language. Those who did not turn up during the data collection period and who were unable to give their blood sample were excluded from the study. Participants’ blood were tested for Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and Hepatitis B surface antibody (HBsAb) using Elisa. The waste collectors were then interviewed using a structured questionnaire. Ethical approval was obtained from the Institutional Research Ethics Committee, PMC RC-14. A total of 184 out of 221 eligible waste handlers participated in the study, giving a response rate of 83.3%. The prevalence of Hepatitis B in this study was 1.6%. Significant correlation was observed between attitude and practice scores (r=0.203, p=0.006). The prevalence of Hepatitis B among municipal waste collectors was low in this study. Most had poor knowledge in regards to Hepatitis B. Empowering workers by providing them adequate information is essential to reduce the risk of contracting the disease.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The use of e-cigarettes (EC) has reached alarming proportions among Malaysians. On a national level, little is known about the profile and perceptions of Malaysian EC users. This study aimed to explore the prevalence of long-term EC usage and its associated factors among EC users in Malaysia. METHODS This nationwide online questionnaire survey was administered among 694 EC users across 13 states and 1 Federal Territory in Malaysia, between January and April 2018. A survey link was e-mailed to EC users that were recruited from an official national vape entity through their Facebook association page. We obtained information on respondents’ sociodemographic characteristics, smoking habits, long-term e-cigarette usage and perceptions of EC use. We estimated long-term EC user prevalence and fitted multivariate regression models to predict factors associated with long-term EC usage. Statistical significance was set at p<0.05. RESULTS Respondents were predominantly Malays (87.6%), aged >30 years (68.1%) and tertiary educated (71%). The majority were employed (93.1%) with a monthly household income of MYR 4000 or less (56.6%). About 84% were former smokers, while 10% were current smokers. The prevalence of long-term EC usage in this study was 82.3%. Most users believed that EC had helped them to cut down tobacco smoking (94.8%), reduced the urge to smoke (88.3%) and ultimately helped them to quit smoking (87.2%). Respondents aged >30 years and those who perceived that EC has helped them stop smoking were significantly more likely to be long-term EC users. CONCLUSIONS Most respondents engaged in EC use to quit smoking. They were more likely to be long-term EC users if they were older and perceived that EC has helped them to quit smoking. This information is valuable for targeted prevention, health promotion and policy regulations.

Abstract
Background Diabetes is a metabolic disorder, characterized by hyperglycemic state of the body. A silent killer, which can take the lives of victims if undiagnosed at the earliest stage. Prediabetes has become an important health concern across countries due to its huge potential for the development of diabetes and other complications. The objectives of this study were to determine the prevalence of prediabetes and diabetes and its associated factors among rural fishing communities in Penang, Malaysia. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted among fishing communities in Southwest District of Penang, Malaysia from August to November 2017. Blood sample (finger prick test) and physical examination were performed on sample of 168 participants consented in this study. Pre-validated Malay versions of International Physical Activity 7 (IPAQ-7) and Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) questionnaires were used to assess the level of physical activity and stress levels of the participants. Multinomial logistic regression models were fitted to identify factors associated with prediabetes and diabetes. Results The prevalence of diabetes and prediabetes were 19.6% (95% CI: 14.3, 26.4) and 10.12% (95% CI: 6.4, 15.7) respectively. The median physical activity (interquartile range) in MET-minutes per week for those with diabetes (1071.0 (2120.0)) and prediabetes (1314.0 (1710.0)) was generally lower as compared to non-diabetes. Majority reported moderate stress (57.3%) from PSS system. Abdominal obesity, family history of diabetes and being hypertensive were significant factors associated with diabetes; while older age, bigger waist circumference and self-perceived poor routine diet were factors associated with prediabetes. Conclusions The screening for prediabetes in this population gives the opportunity to implement lifestyle interventions at the earliest possible, which could prevent the development of diabetes. The identification of diabetic individuals provides an opportunity to conduct health promotion and education to ensure good metabolic control and hence reduce the risks of complications.

Abstract
Widespread malnutrition of zinc (Zn), iodine (I), iron (Fe) and selenium (Se), known as hidden hunger, represents a predominant cause of several health complications in human populations where rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the major staple food. Therefore, increasing concentrations of these micronutrients in rice grain represents a sustainable solution to hidden hunger. This study aimed at enhancing concentration of Zn, I, Fe and Se in rice grains by agronomic biofortification. We evaluated effects of foliar application of Zn, I, Fe and Se on grain yield and grain concentration of these micronutrients in rice grown at 21 field sites during 2015 to 2017 in Brazil, China, India, Pakistan and Thailand. Experimental treatments were: (i) local control (LC); (ii) foliar Zn; (iii) foliar I; and (iv) foliar micronutrient cocktail (i.e., Zn + I + Fe + Se). Foliar-applied Zn, I, Fe or Se did not affect rice grain yield. However, brown rice Zn increased with foliar Zn and micronutrient cocktail treatments at all except three field sites. On average, brown rice Zn increased from 21.4 mg kg-1 to 28.1 mg kg-1 with the application of Zn alone and to 26.8 mg kg-1 with the micronutrient cocktail solution. Brown rice I showed particular enhancements and increased from 11 μg kg-1 to 204 μg kg-1 with the application of I alone and to 181 μg kg-1 with the cocktail. Grain Se also responded very positively to foliar spray of micronutrients and increased from 95 to 380 μg kg-1. By contrast, grain Fe was increased by the same cocktail spray at only two sites. There was no relationship between soil extractable concentrations of these micronutrients with their grain concentrations. The results demonstrate that irrespective of the rice cultivars used and the diverse soil conditions existing in five major rice-producing countries, the foliar application of the micronutrient cocktail solution was highly effective in increasing grain Zn, I and Se. Adoption of this agronomic practice in the target countries would contribute significantly to the daily micronutrient intake and alleviation of micronutrient malnutrition in human populations.
