Abstract
Objective: To analyze the trends in literature related to oral microbiology and regenerative medicine from 2014 to 2023. By identifying key research countries, institutions, and their collaboration networks, as well as exploring research hotspots and development directions, the study seeks to provide references for researchers and decision-makers in the field of oral microbiology and regenerative medicine, thereby guiding the direction of future research. Methods: Relevant literature was retrieved using the Web of Science Core Collection database, with data processing and analysis conducted using CiteSpace 6.2.R6 software. Time slicing, node type selection, and the application of the g-index (g-index) were used for filtering, analyzing countries, institutions, authors, journals, and keywords. Results: The volume of literature in the field of oral microbiology and regenerative medicine has steadily increased from 2014 to 2023, with the number of publications first exceeding one hundred in 2020 and reaching 134 in 2022, accompanied by a citation frequency of 3 363 times. China and the United States have been at the forefront in terms of the volume of publications, while the United States and Germany lead in terms of intermediary centrality. The research primarily spans disciplines such as oral medicine, interdisciplinary studies, materials science, and immunology. High-frequency keywords include stem cells, scaffold materials, and gut microbiota, while cluster analysis indicates that inflammation, drug delivery, and antimicrobial activity remain consistent research themes. In recent years, the research heat in "tissue regeneration""gut microbiota " and "maxillofacial surgery" has risen, suggesting these may become focal points of future research. Conclusions: Over the past decade, the volume of literature published in the fields of oral microbiology and regenerative medicine, along with their citation frequencies, has increased annually. The research focus has shifted over time. Understanding the interactions between oral and gut microbiomes is crucial for developing innovative regenerative treatment strategies.

Abstract
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) can deliver various bioactive molecules among cells, making them promising diagnostic and therapeutic alternatives in diseases. Mesenchymal stem cell-derived EVs (MSC-EVs) have shown therapeutic potential similar to MSCs but with drawbacks such as lower yield, reduced biological activities, off-target effects, and shorter half-lives. Improving strategies utilizing biotechniques to pretreat MSCs and enhance the properties of released EVs, as well as modifying MSC-EVs to enhance targeting abilities and achieve controlled release, shows potential for overcoming application limitations and enhancing therapeutic effects in treating bone-related diseases. This review focuses on recent advances in functionalizing MSC-EVs to treat bone-related diseases. Firstly, we underscore the significance of MSC-EVs in facilitating crosstalk between cells within the skeletal environment. Secondly, we highlight strategies of functional-modified EVs for treating bone-related diseases. We explore the pretreatment of stem cells using various biotechniques to enhance the properties of resulting EVs, as well as diverse approaches to modify MSC-EVs for targeted delivery and controlled release. Finally, we address the challenges and opportunities for further research on MSC-EVs in bone-related diseases.

Abstract
There is limited evidence linking exposure to heavy metals, especially mixed metals, to stress urinary incontinence (SUI). This study aimed to explore the relationship between multiple metals exposure and SUI in women. The data were derived from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), 2007-2020. In the study, a total of 13 metals were analyzed in blood and urine. In addition, 5155 adult women were included, of whom 2123 (41.2%) suffered from SUI. The logistic regression model and restricted cubic spline (RCS) were conducted to assess the association of single metal exposure with SUI risk. The Bayesian kernel machine regression (BKMR) and weighted quantile sum (WQS) were used to estimate the combined effect of multiple metals exposure on SUI. First, we observed that blood Pb, Hg and urinary Pb, Cd were positively related to SUI risk, whereas urinary W was inversely related by multivariate logistic regression (all p-FDR < 0.05). Additionally, a significant non-linear relationship between blood Hg and SUI risk was observed by RCS analysis. In the co-exposure models, WQS model showed that exposure to metal mixtures in blood [OR (95%CI) = 1.18 (1.06, 1.31)] and urine [OR (95%CI) = 1.18 (1.03, 1.34)] was positively associated with SUI risk, which was consistent with the results of BKMR model. A potential interaction was identified between Hg and Cd in urine. Hg and Cd were the main contributors to the combined effects. In summary, our study indicates that exposure to heavy metal mixtures may increase SUI risk in women.

Abstract
BACKGROUND After implementing the two-child policy, more Chinese women who had a previous delivery had their second child. Nevertheless, the impacts of parity on Gestational Diabetes (GDM) and macrosomia have not been fully confirmed. Therefore, we aimed to analyse the characteristics of pregnancy by parity and evaluate the association of parity with risks of GDM/macrosomia in a Chinese population. METHODS A total of 193,410 pregnant women (including 148,293 primiparae and 45,117 multiparae) with complete information were included. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to examine the association between parity and risks of GDM/macrosomia. RESULTS With the gradual implementation of the two-child policy, the proportion of multiparae increased rapidly and then decreased slightly. Multiparae were more likely to be older and have higher intrapartum BMI, as compared to primiparae (P < 0.001). Univariate regression analyses suggested that parity could increase the risks of GDM and macrosomia; while after adjustment, the association between parity and GDM risk disappeared, and the effects of parity on macrosomia risk and birth weight of babies were also weakened. Further, stratified analysis showed that parity only increased the risk of GDM in women over 30 years, and the effects of parity on macrosomia risk and birth weight were more pronounced among women over 30 years compared to women under 30 years. CONCLUSION Parity was not associated with GDM risk, but mildly associated with macrosomia risk. Particular attention should be paid to multiparae with advanced age to reduce the risks of GDM and macrosomia.

Abstract
Nanocrystalline pyrochlore materials have been investigated for their enhanced radiation tolerance as ceramic nuclear waste hosts. In this work, we study the thermodynamic driving force of nano-scale materials for radiation resistance. The size dependent thermodynamic properties of a series of Y2Ti2O7 nanoparticles were investigated. Samples were synthesized by a sol-gel method and characterized by synchrotron X-ray diffraction, BET analysis, and thermogravimetric analysis. The surface and interface enthalpies of Y2Ti2O7 were determined by high temperature oxide melt drop solution calorimetry to be 4.07 J m-2 and 3.04 J m-2, respectively. The experimentally obtained surface energy is in good agreement with computationally derived average surface energies for yttrium and other rare-earth titanate pyrochlores. Theoretical links between nanoparticle stability, surface energy, and radiation resistance of pyrochlore materials were then explored.

Abstract
As a global toxin invasive species, the whole herb of Ageratina adenophora (A. adenophora) contains various sesquiterpenes, which can cause various degrees of toxic reactions characterized by inflammatory damage when ingested by animals. Current studies on the toxicity of A. adenophora have focused on parenchymatous organs such as the liver and spleen, but few studies have been conducted on the intestine as the organ that is first exposed to A. adenophora and digests and absorbs its toxic components. In this study, after feeding goats with 40 % A. adenophora herb powder for 90 d, we found that the intestinal structure of goats showed pathological changes characterized, and the damage to the small intestinal segments was more severe than that of the large intestine. The MLCK/ROCK signaling pathway was activated, the cytoskeleton underwent centripetal contraction, the composition of tight junctions between intestinal epithelial cells was altered table, Occludin, Claudin-1 and Zonula occluden (ZO-1) amount was decreased, and the intestinal mechanical barrier was disrupted. The intestinal damage markers diamine oxidase (DAO) and D-lactate (D-LA) levels were elevated. In addition, we also found that intestinal bacteria translocate and enter the portal vein to colonize the liver and mesenteric lymph nodes. The expression of intestinal pro-inflammatory factors and anti-inflammatory factors was changed, the intestinal immune function was disrupted. The present study is the first to analyze the mechanism of poisoning of A. adenophora from the intestinal tract in compound-gastric animals.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Numerous investigations have indicated a correlation between air pollution (AP) and an elevated ischemic stroke (IS) likelihood. The existing literature does not provide a consensus about the possible link between AP and IS. A two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis was utilized to systematically measure the causal link between AP and ischemic stroke. Furthermore, the mediating impact of inflammatory factors was also performed by a two-step MR. MATERIALS AND METHODS A two-sample MR analysis was utilized to examine the AP impact on the incidence of IS. Additionally, a two-step MR approach was carried out to account for possible mediating variables. The indirect impact was determined by employing the product approach, which included multiplying the AP impact on inflammatory factors by the inflammatory factors' impacts on IS. The MR effect was identified through inverse variance-weighted (IVW) meta-analysis of each Wald Ratio. Additionally, complementary studies were conducted using the weighted median and MR-egger approaches. RESULTS The IVW method with random effects showed that the per unit increase in genetically predicted PM2.5 was linked to the 0.362-fold elevated ischemic stroke risk (OR: 1.362, 95% CI: 1.032-1.796, p=0.029). Furthermore, the IVM technique, incorporating random effects, demonstrated that the per unit increase in genetically predicted PM2.5 was related to an elevated Interleukin (IL)-1β risk (OR: 1.529, 95% CI: 1.191-1.963, p=0.001), IL-6 (OR: 1.498, 95% CI: 1.094-2.052, p=0.012) and IL-17 (OR: 1.478, 95% CI: 1.021-2.139, p=0.038). IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-17 modulated the PM2.5 impact on ischemic stroke, while the proportion mediated by them was 59.5%. CONCLUSIONS A positive correlation between genetically predicted PM2.5 levels and elevated ischemic stroke risk is mediated by IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-17.

Abstract
To investigate and compare the facial asymmetry (hard and soft tissues) among skeletal Class I, II, and III patients. A total of 221 subjects, including skeletal Class I (n = 80), skeletal Class II (n = 75), and skeletal Class III (n = 66), were included in the study. CBCT, 22 skeletal landmarks, and 10 soft tissue landmarks were used for the measurements and the asymmetry index was calculated to assess the facial asymmetry. Statistical analyses included one-way ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis test, and Spearman correlation analysis. The skeletal Class III patients presented greater asymmetry than Class II patients for 10 hard tissue landmarks and 3 soft tissue landmarks (p < 0.05). High correlation of asymmetry was found between four soft tissue landmarks and their corresponding skeletal landmarks (rs ≥ 0.71), as well as Me and ANS (r > 0.86). The ANS and Me in 21.3% patients deviated to contralateral sides. The skeletal Class III patients had more facial asymmetry than the Class II patients. Soft tissues showed similar asymmetry as the underlying hard tissues rather than a compensation of the hard tissue asymmetry. The inconsistency in the deviation of Me and ANS may exacerbate facial asymmetry.

Abstract
Among several existing mouse models for hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection, the high-pressure hydrodynamic injection (HDI) method is frequently used in HBV research due to its economic advantages and ease of implementation. The use of the HDI method is influenced by factors such as mouse genetic background, age, sex, and the type of HBV plasmid used. This overview provides a multidimensional analysis and comparison of various factors that influence the effectiveness of the HBV mouse model established through HDI. The goal is to provide a summary of information for researchers who create HBV models in mice.

Abstract
This study aimed to study 3-dimensional (3D) changes of hard and soft tissues of skeletal class II patients after 2-jaw surgery and genioplasty. 32 adult patients diagnosed with mandibular hypoplasia who underwent 2-jaw surgery of maxillary impaction, mandibular advancement and genioplasty were enrolled. Cone-beam computed tomography and 3D stereophotogrammetry was conducted 1 week before and 6 months after surgery. Dolphin imaging software was used to establish a 3D digitizing model and 3D measurement system. Paired t-test was performed to compare the values before and after surgery. Pearson's correlation test assessed the degree of correlations between hard and soft tissue change. The mean impaction of the maxilla was 2.600 ± 3.088 mm at A. The mean advancement of the mandible was 7.806 ± 2.647 mm at B. There was a significant upward and forward movement for most landmarks of the nose and lip, while a significant decrease in nasal tip height (lateral view), upper lip height, and upper and lower vermilion height. The nose's width was significantly increased. For maxillary, Sn, Ac-r, Ac-l, and Ls demonstrated a significant correlation with A and U1 in the anteroposterior axis. However, there were no significant correlations among them in the vertical axis. For mandibular, Li demonstrated a significant correlation with L1 in the anteroposterior axis specifically for the mandible. Notably, correlations between the landmarks of the chin's hard and soft tissues were observed across all axes. The utilization of 3-D analysis facilitated a quantitative comprehension of both hard and soft tissues, thereby furnishing valuable insights for the strategic formulation of orthognathic treatment plans targeting patients with skeletal class II conditions.

Abstract
Objective: To assess the association between body mass index (BMI) and major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) among patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Methods: This was a multicenter prospective cohort study, which was based on the Improving Care for Cardiovascular Disease in China (CCC) project. The hospitalized patients with ACS aged between 18 and 80 years, registered in CCC project from November 1, 2014 to December 31, 2019 were included. The included patients were categorized into four groups based on their BMI at the time of admission: underweight (BMI<18.5 kg/m2), normal weight (BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 kg/m2), overweight (BMI between 25.0 and 29.9 kg/m2), and obese (BMI≥30.0 kg/m2). Multivariate logistic regression models was used to analyze the relationship between BMI and the risk of in-hospital MACCE. Results: A total of 71 681 ACS inpatients were included in the study. The age was (63.4±14.7) years, and 26.5% (18 979/71 681) were female. And the incidence of MACCE for the underweight, normal weight, overweight, and obese groups were 14.9% (322/2 154), 9.5% (3 997/41 960), 7.9% (1 908/24 140) and 7.0% (240/3 427), respectively (P<0.001). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed a higher incidence of MACCE in the underweight group compared to the normal weight group (OR=1.30, 95%CI 1.13-1.49, P<0.001), while the overweight and obese groups exhibited no statistically significant difference in the incidence of MACCE compared to the normal weight group (both P>0.05). Conclusion: ACS patients with BMI below normal have a higher risk of in-hospital MACCE, suggesting that BMI may be an indicator for evaluating short-term prognosis in ACS patients.

Abstract
The artificial tactile perception system of this work utilizes a fully connected spiking neural network (SNN) comprising two layers. Its architecture is streamlined and energy-efficient as it directly integrates spiking tactile neurons with piezoresistive sensors and Pt/NbOx/TiN memristors as input neurons. These spiking tactile neurons possess the ability to perceive and integrate pressure stimuli from multiple sensors and encode the information into rate-coded electrical spikes, closely resembling the behavior of a biological tactile neuron. The system's real-time information processing capability is demonstrated through an artificial perceptual learning system that successfully encodes and decodes the Morse code; the artificial perceptual learning system accurately recognizes and displays 26 English letters. Furthermore, the artificial tactile perception system is evaluated for the recognition of the MNIST data set, achieving a classification accuracy of 85.7% with the supervised spiking-rate-dependent plasticity learning rule. The key advantages of this artificial tactile perception system are its simple structure and high efficiency, which contributes to its practicality for various real-world applications.

Abstract
There is limited evidence linking antibiotic exposure, particularly from contaminated food or drinking water, to childhood obesity. The study aimed to investigate the association between urinary antibiotic levels and overweight/obesity in preschool children. In the case-control study, 121 overweight/obese preschoolers and 242 controls (aged 3-6 years) from eastern China were enrolled in 2022 based on age, sex, and study site matching. Overweight/obesity was determined using body mass index (BMI) and weight for height (WFH) criteria derived from national data. A total of 50 antibiotics from 8 categories were analyzed using ultra-performance liquid chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS). We identified major dietary patterns using principal component analysis (PCA) and examined the associations of antibiotic exposure with childhood overweight/obesity using multivariate logistic regression. Twenty-four individual antibiotics were detected in more than 10 % of the samples, and overall detection rates were up to 100 %. Overweight/obese children had a higher exposure to veterinary antibiotics (VAs) than normal weight children. PCA analysis showed that children who were overweight/obese had higher scores of "Aquatic products preferred dietary pattern" and "Cereals preferred dietary pattern" compared to children with normal weight. Multivariate logistic regression analyses indicated that exposure to elevated levels of deoxytetracycline (OR: 1.72; 95 %CI: 1.00-2.93) and quinolones (OR: 1.63; 95 %CI: 1.04-2.57) was significantly related to an increased risk of BMI-based overweight/obesity. Quinolones exposure was also significantly associated with WFH-based overweight/obesity, primarily in boys. After adjustment for all covariates, higher exposure to ofloxacin (of the quinolones) was significantly related to overweight/obesity in girls. Exposure to certain antibiotics, especially quinolones, may increase the risk of overweight/obesity in preschoolers. More prospective, well-designed studies are needed to clarify these findings.

Abstract
Chromothripsis, the process of catastrophic shattering and haphazard repair of chromosomes, is a common event in cancer. Whether chromothripsis might constitute an actionable molecular event amenable to therapeutic targeting remains an open question. We describe recurrent chromothripsis of chromosome 21 in a subset of patients in blast phase of a myeloproliferative neoplasm (BP-MPN), which alongside other structural variants leads to amplification of a region of chromosome 21 in ∼25% of patients ('chr21amp'). We report that chr21amp BP-MPN has a particularly aggressive and treatment-resistant phenotype. The chr21amp event is highly clonal and present throughout the hematopoietic hierarchy. DYRK1A , a serine threonine kinase and transcription factor, is the only gene in the 2.7Mb minimally amplified region which showed both increased expression and chromatin accessibility compared to non-chr21amp BP-MPN controls. We demonstrate that DYRK1A is a central node at the nexus of multiple cellular functions critical for BP-MPN development, including DNA repair, STAT signalling and BCL2 overexpression. DYRK1A is essential for BP-MPN cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo , and DYRK1A inhibition synergises with BCL2 targeting to induce BP-MPN cell apoptosis. Collectively, these findings define the chr21amp event as a prognostic biomarker in BP-MPN and link chromothripsis to a druggable target.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To carry out cyto- and molecular genetic analysis for a fetus with a ring chromosome identified through non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT). METHODS A pregnant woman presented at the Shengjing Hospital Affiliated to China Medical University on May 11, 2021 was selected as the study subject. Maternal peripheral blood sample was screened by NIPT, and G-banded chromosomal karyotyping was carried out on amniotic fluid and peripheral blood samples from the couple. The fetus and the pregnant woman were also subjected to genomic copy number variation sequencing (CNV-seq), chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA), and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) assay. RESULTS NIPT result suggested that the fetus had monomeric mosaicism or fragment deletion on chromosome 13. G banded chromosomal analysis showed that both the fetus and its mother had a karyotype of 47,XX,der(13)(pter→p11::q22→q10),+r(13)(::p10::q22→qter::), whilst her husband had a normal karyotype. FISH has verified the above results. No abnormality was detected with CNV-seq and CMA in both the fetus and the pregnant woman. CONCLUSION The ring chromosome 13 in the fetus has derived from its mother without any deletion, duplication and mosaicism. Both the fetus and the pregnant woman were phenotypically normal.

Abstract
The effect of COVID-19 pandemic on early pregnancy outcomes among women undergoing frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) remains unclear. We aimed to evaluate whether early pregnancy outcomes were altered in patients undergoing FET during the pandemic. In this retrospective cohort study, women conceived through FET in 2016-2021 from two hospitals in China were included. The early pregnancy outcomes were compared using Logistic regression model, including biochemical pregnancy rate (BPR), clinical pregnancy rate (CPR), and early pregnancy loss rate (EPLR). A total of 16,669 (67.2%) and 6,113 (26.8%) FET cycles enrolled before and during the pandemic, respectively. Univariate analyses showed that women undergoing FET during the pandemic had significantly increased BPR (72.9% vs. 69.7%) and CPR (59.5% vs. 55.0%), and significantly decreased EPLR (13.7% vs. 16.7%) compared to pre-pandemic (all P < 0.001). Moreover, after adjustment, the results were in accordance with univariate analysis for CPR [adjusted OR (95%CI) = 1.08 (1.01-1.14)] and EPLR [adjusted OR (95%CI) = 0.82 (0.73-0.91)], while the statistical significance between BPR and the pandemic disappeared. In summary, women conceived by FET did not have a reduced possibility of clinical pregnancy and a higher risk of early pregnancy loss during the pandemic compared with the pre-pandemic.

Abstract
Semen is a measure of the reproductive efficiency of roosters, which affects the economic benefits of white-feathered broilers. Over the years, research in this field has mainly focused on hens, while there have been fewer studies on the reproductive traits of roosters. To identify the genes related to the semen traits of roosters, we used a chicken 55 K SNP chip to genetically type the white-feathered population (220) and performed imputation with resequencing data from 97 roosters. In total, 1 048 576 SNPs were obtained and used for genome-wide association analysis of semen volume, from which 197 genome-wide significant markers were identified, all within the interval of 13.82-16.12 Mb on chromosome 7. By combining our results with the biological functions of genes in the interval, four candidate genes were identified that potentially relate to semen volume: FAPP1, OSBPL6, SESTD1 and SSFA2. Our findings may provide a basis for further research on the genetic mechanism and marker-assisted selection of semen volume in white-feathered broilers.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Bipolar disorder's (BD) potential endophenotypes include neurological soft signs (NSS) and neurocognitive disorders (ND). Few research, meanwhile, has coupled NSS and ND as combined endophenotypes of BD. OBJECT This study intends to investigate NSS and ND and compare their differences in euthymic patients with bipolar disorder (EBP), their unaffected first-degree relatives (FDR), and healthy controls (HC). Additionally, search for potential endophenotypic subprojects of NSS and ND and construct and verify a composite endophenotypic. METHODS The subjects were all Han Chinese and consisted of 86 EBP, 81 FDR, and 81HC. Cambridge Neurological Inventory and MATRICSTM Consensus Cognitive Battery tested NSS and ND independently. RESULTS All three groups displayed a trapezoidal distribution of NSS levels and cognitive abnormalities, with EBP having the most severe NSS levels and cognitive deficits, followed by FDR and HC. Among them, motor coordination in NSS and Information processing speed (IPS), Verbal learning (VL), and Working memory (WM) in neurocognitive function are consistent with the traits of the endophenotype of BD. The accuracy in differentiating EBP and HC or FDRs and HC was higher when these items were combined as predictor factors than in differentiating EBP and FDR. CONCLUSION These results provide more evidence that motor coordination, IPS, VL, and WM may be internal characteristics of bipolar disease. When these characteristics are combined into a complex endophenotype, it may be possible to distinguish BD patients and high-risk groups from normal populations.

Abstract
Exposure to metal mixtures may affect children's health but the conclusions are controversial. We aimed to investigate the associations of metal mixture exposure with children's physical and behavioral development. 15 metals were detected in the urine samples of 278 preschoolers aged 3-6 years from eastern China. Multiple linear models and restricted cubic splines were used to evaluate dose-response relationships between single metal and children's physical and behavioral development. The Bayesian Kernel Machine Regression (BKMR) models, the weighted quantile sum (WQS) models and Quantile G-Computation were applied to evaluate the joint effects of metal mixtures. The results showed that arsenic (As) was negatively associated with z score of height for age (HAZ) in individual-metal models [β (95%CI): - 0.22 (-0.38, -0.06), P = 0.006]. Concerning children's behavioral development, multiple-metal models demonstrated a negative association with strontium (Sr) [β (95%CI): - 0.82 (-1.38, -0.26), P = 0.004], and a positive association with tin (Sn) [β (95%CI): 0.69 (0.16, 1.21), P = 0.010]. Notably, these associations remained significant or suggestive even after adjustments for multiple tests, sensitivity analyses, and application of different statistical models, including BKMR, WQS, and Quantile G-Computation. Furthermore, the study identified a negative joint effect of the metal mixture on HAZ, as demonstrated by BKMR and Quantile G-Computation models, with As playing an irreplaceable role in this observed impact. In summary, exposure to As appears to have adverse effects on HAZ, while exposure to Sn may hinder children's behavioral development. Conversely, exposure to Sr may have a protective effect on children's behavioral development. Additionally, the combined impact of metal mixtures is implicated in potentially impairing children's physical development, particularly in terms of HAZ.

Abstract
Background Previous cross-sectional studies were on the basis of three categories of achievement goal orientation; therefore, it is not yet possible to fully examine whether achievement goal orientation affects academic engagement through learning strategies and self-efficacy and whether those effects vary by grade. Then, it is necessary to further explore whether different achievement goal orientations affect academic engagement through the mediation of learning strategies and academic self-efficacy from the perspective of integration of achievement goal orientation theory and social cognitive theory under the premise of four classifications of achievement goal orientation, if so, whether there is consistent-path structure between grades. Methods Participants were 1429 high school students (647 male,782 female) were token as subjects through cluster sampling. The Achievement Goal Orientation Scale, Learning Strategies Scale, Academic self-efficacy Scale,and Academic Engagement Scale were used to measure achievement goal orientations, learning strategies, academic self-efficacy and academic engagement. Results The mastery approach, performance approach, and performance avoidance indirectly predicted academic engagement through the chained mediated effects of learning strategies and academic self-efficacy, respectively. There were no direct or indirect predictive effects of mastery avoidance on students' academic engagement. The path structure constructs were consistent across grades, except for grade differences in the predictive relationships between mastery approach on learning strategies and mastery avoidance on learning strategies. Conclusion As external achievement goals originate from others, regardless of valence approach or avoidance, performance goals indirectly orient academic engagement through chain multiple mediators of learning strategies and academic self-efficacy. As internal achievement goal originates from the individual itself, the mastery approach not only directly but also indirectly orients academic engagement through chain multiple mediators of learning strategies and academic self-efficacy. The path structure remains consistent but local relations vary across school years in China. Finally, the possible psychological mechanisms of goal orientations are discussed.

Abstract
Ageratina adenophora (A. adenophora), one of the prominent invasive plants in the Asian continent has shown toxicity in animals. However, studies examining the gene expression and metabolic profiles of animals that ingest A. adenophora have not yet been reported in the literature. Therefore, considering the wide distribution of A. adenophora, it is necessary to elucidate the toxic mechanisms of A. adenophora via multiomics approach. In this study, we identified and evaluated the toxic mechanisms of action associated with bioactive compounds in A. adenophora by using network toxicology studies combined with metabolomics and transcriptomics and found that 2-deoxo-2-(acetyloxy)- 9-oxoageraphorone, 10Hβ-9-oxo-agerophorone, 10Hα-9-oxo-agerophorone, nerolidol, 9-oxo-10,11-dehydro-agerophorone were the main active toxic compounds in A. adenophora. In addition, using metabolomics approach we identified differential metabolites such as L-pyroglutamic acid, 1-methylhistidine, prostaglandin F2alpha and hydrocortisone from A. adenophora and these metabolites were involved in amino acid metabolism, lipid metabolism and signal conducting media regulation. Based on network toxicological analysis, we observed that, A. adenophora can affect the Ras signaling, Phospholipase D signaling and MAPK signaling pathways by regulating EGFR, PDGFRB, KIT and other targets. From the results of this study we concluded that A. adenophora induces liver inflammatory damage by activating the EGFR expression and Ras/Raf/MEK/ERK signaling pathways as well as affect nutrients metabolism and neuron conduction.

Abstract
This study measured serum high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) levels in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and/or heart failure (HF) and evaluated their relationship with peripheral inflammatory biomarkers and cardiac biomarkers, which have not been reported before. Of the patients, 55 had AMI without HF (AMI-HF ), 42 had AMI with HF (AMI+HF ), and 60 had HF without AMI (HF-AMI ) compared with 50 healthy controls. Blood samples were collected to assess serum HMGB1 levels and blood test-related inflammatory biomarkers (e.g., erythrocyte sedimentation rate [ESR], hs-CRP, uric acid, and white blood cell count) and cardiac biomarkers (e.g., MYO, cTnI, CKMB, CK, NT-proBNP, LDH, aspartate aminotransferase [AST], and alanine aminotransferase [ALT]). Compared to healthy controls, three groups of patients, especially those with AMI+HF , had significantly higher levels of serum HMGB1. All tested inflammatory biomarkers (except uric acid) were significantly positively correlated with HMGB1 in patients with AMI patients but not in patients with non-AMI. In addition, all tested cardiac biomarkers (except NT-proBNP in AMI-HF ) were significantly higher in patients with AMI than in control individuals. The levels of MYO, cTnI, CKMB, CK, AST, and ALT were not significantly changed in patients with HF-AMI compared to control individuals, but were still much lower than those in patients with AMI (except ALT). In all patients, the levels of NT-proBNP, and cTnI were significantly correlated with HMGB1 levels. Except for MYO, LDH, AST, and ALT, all cardiac biomarkers in AMI-HF and AMI+HF showed a significant correlation with HMGB1. Among risk factors, hypertension, diabetes, previous heart disease, and reduced left ventricular ejection fraction showed a significant correlation with HMGB1 in all disease groups.

Abstract
To investigate the value of 3D visualization reconstruction technology in pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma surgery.The clinical data of 87 patients with pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma admitted to the Department of Urology of Peking Union Medical College Hospital between January 2019 and December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed, and 3D visualization model reconstruction was performed preoperatively in 47 patients [Group A:males was 24 cases,the age M(Q1, Q3)42.00(30.00, 54.00)]. while the remaining 40 patients [Group B: males was 23 cases,the age M(Q1, Q3) 44.00(30.25, 53.75)] was not. The maximum tumor diameter, operation time, intraoperative bleeding, drain retention time and postoperative hospital stay were compared between the two groups. Surgery was successfully completed in both groups. 37 (78.7%) patients in group A underwent laparoscopic surgery, 7 (14.9%) patients underwent open surgery, and 3 (6.4%) patients underwent laparoscopic-to-open surgery. Thirty-one (77.5%) patients in group B underwent laparoscopic surgery, 5 (12.5%) patients underwent open surgery, and 4 (10.0%) patients underwent laparoscopic to open surgery. There was a difference in the maximum diameter of the tumor between the two groups [(6.09±3.02) cm vs (5.32±1.76) cm, P<0.05], the retention time of the drainage tube was significantly shorter in group A compared with group B [(3.20±1.38) d vs (4.02±1.98) d, P<0.05], and the length of the hospital stay after surgery was significantly shorter [(5.75±2.12) d vs (6.49±3.37) d, P<0.05]. Comparison of operation time and intraoperative bleeding between the two groups showed no statistically significant difference (P>0.05).Two cases of postoperative anemia and one case of pulmonary atelectasis in group B patients improved before discharge. Conclusion when the tumor diameter is>6 cm or has a close relationship with the surrounding organs and blood vessels, the use of 3D visual reconstruction technology can formulate and implement a more accurate and safe surgical plan, shorten the retention time of the drainage tube and postoperative hospitalization time, which is conducive to the patient's postoperative recovery and reduce postoperative complications.

Abstract
Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDEs) are extensively present in humans and may disturb glucose metabolism during pregnancy. However, previous reports on the associations between PCBs/PBDEs levels and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) have been inconsistent. We performed a nested case-control study to measure the serum levels of 6 PCB and 7 PBDE congeners in early pregnancy, and to assess their associations with GDM risk and blood glucose levels. Totally, 208 serum samples (104 GDM cases and 104 controls) were included based on a prospective cohort which was carried out in Jiangsu province, China, from 2020 to 2022. The results showed that PCB-153 was the major PCB congener, whereas PBDE-47 was the predominant PBDE congener. The continuous concentrations of PCB-153, PBDE-28, and total PCB were significantly related to an increased risk of GDM, with adjusted ORs (95%CI) of 1.25 (1.04-1.50), 1.19 (1.02-1.39), and 1.37 (1.05-1.79), respectively. Potential dose-response relationships were also observed between serum levels of PCB-153 (P = 0.011), PBDE-28 (P = 0.028), total PCB (P = 0.048), and total PCB/PBDE (P = 0.010) and GDM risk. Moreover, PCB-153, PBDE-28 and total PCB levels were positively related to 1-h OGTT blood glucose (adjusted βPCB-153: 0.14, 95%CI: 0.00-0.28; adjusted βPBDE-28: 0.20, 95%CI: 0.08-0.32; adjusted βtotal PCB: 0.30, 95%CI: 0.09-0.50), whereas none of the PCBs/PBDEs were statistically related to fasting blood glucose and 2-h OGTT blood glucose (all P > 0.05). Further meta-analysis also supported the association of PCBs exposure with GDM risk. Our study provides further evidence that PCBs/PBDEs exposure may increase GDM risk during pregnancy.

Abstract
Chromosome recognition is a critical way to diagnose various hematological malignancies and genetic diseases, which is however a repetitive and time-consuming process in karyotyping. To explore the relative relation between chromosomes, in this work, we start from a global perspective and learn the contextual interactions and class distribution features between chromosomes within a karyotype. We propose an end-to-end differentiable combinatorial optimization method, KaryoNet, which captures long-range interactions between chromosomes with the proposed Masked Feature Interaction Module (MFIM) and conducts label assignment in a flexible and differentiable way with Deep Assignment Module (DAM). Specially, a Feature Matching Sub-Network is built to predict the mask array for attention computation in MFIM. Lastly, Type and Polarity Prediction Head can predict chromosome type and polarity simultaneously. Extensive experiments on R-band and G-band two clinical datasets demonstrate the merits of the proposed method. For normal karyotypes, the proposed KaryoNet achieves the accuracy of 98.41% on R-band chromosome and 99.58% on G-band chromosome. Owing to the extracted internal relation and class distribution features, KaryoNet can also achieve state-of-the-art performances on karyotypes of patients with different types of numerical abnormalities. The proposed method has been applied to assist clinical karyotype diagnosis. Our code is available at: https://github.com/xiabc612/KaryoNet.

Abstract
A 105 GHz collective Thomson scattering (CTS) diagnostic has been successfully developed for fast-ion measurements on the HL-2A tokamak, and it has been deployed during an experimental campaign. Enhanced signals exhibiting synchronous modulation characteristics have been observed across all CTS channels upon the launch of a modulated probe wave. Results show that the intensity of the CTS signal increases with Neutral Beam Injection (NBI) power and is proportional to neutron count, indicating that the scattering signal contains a contribution from fast ions. Compared with the signal without NBI, the enhanced scattering spectrum due to NBI is slightly wider than the predicted fast ion range. Such broadening might be attributed to the heating effects of the gyrotron.

Abstract
Objective To explore how college students' academic engagement has changed in the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) (hereinafter referred to as "in the outbreak"), this research will encompass more than just looking into the relationship among anxiety, benefit finding (BF) and academic engagement, but also involve evaluating how anxiety moderates the positive impact of BF on academic engagement. Method Among college students, this study comprised an online-based cross-sectional survey in cities where COVID-19 broke out. Convenience sampling method was used. The survey took place between November 10 and November 19, 2021, during which all the cities surveyed were in the outbreak. With language revision, scales include Student Version of the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-S), recompiled Benefit Finding Scale (BFS) and 7-item Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale (GAD-7), as methods for gauging the academic engagement, BF and anxiety experienced by college students, respectively. Results Academic engagement in the outbreak is higher than that before the outbreak stage of COVID-19 (hereinafter referred to as "before the outbreak") (Z = -18.201, P < 0.001). Between anxiety and BF, a negative correlation can be observed in the outbreak (P = 0.001), whereas BF and anxiety have an adverse correlation with academic engagement (P < 0.001). The positive effect of BF on academic engagement will be debilitated by anxiety. Further analysis shows that college students who are close to medium-and high-risk areas, worried about the infection, unvaccinated and concerned about the epidemic, are more likely to be anxious (P < 0.001). Those with confidence in government's ability to prevent and control the epidemic, as well as increased trust in medical workers, have a higher BF (P < 0.001). Conclusions While COVID-19 could still exert adverse effects on psychology of college students, but it can also stimulate college students to perceive the meaning of life. In the outbreak, an increase in academic engagement seems to be a manifestation of growth in adversity. Compared with short-term negative emotional intervention, life meaning and gratitude in education may stimulate their potential ability for a longer time.

Abstract
It has been shown that miR-145 is involved in the differentiation of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) and may regulate vascular remodeling. However, the molecular mechanisms behind these pathological processes in hypertension are not fully elucidated. The present study was to examine whether miR-145 modulates phenotypic transformation of VSMCs under normal state and synthetic state and to explore the possible role of ADAM17-mediated ACE2 shedding and ACE2-Ang-(1-7)-Mas receptor axis. Wistar rats were fed with high-sucrose/high-fat diet for 30 weeks to establish a metabolic hypertension animal model. VSMCs were cultured and treated with Ang II with or without miR-145 mimics or miR-145 inhibitor. Results showed the expression of contractile markers α-SMA and SM22α, miR-145, ACE2, and Mas receptor reduced in the thoracic aorta of metabolic hypertensive rats (MHRs), while that of synthetic marker OPN increased as compared to the control group. In in vitro study, miR-145 inhibitor inhibited the expression of α-SMA, SM22α, ACE2, Mas receptor, and the Ang-(1-7) excretion and induced the expression of synthetic markers OPN, EREG, and MMP2. However, miR-145 mimic produced opposite effects on the VSMCs. In addition, in the synthetic VSMC induced by Ang II, miR-145 inhibitor partially reversed the induced expression of OPN, EREG, and MMP2 by Ang II, while further decreasing the expression of α-SMA and SM22α and ACE2-Ang-(1-7)-Mas receptor. Cotreatment with ADAM17 siRNA partially reversed the inducible effect of miR-145 inhibitor on the EREG and MMP2, induced Ang-(1-7) excretion, and upregulated ACE2 and Mas receptor expression. In conclusion, miR-145 alleviates phenotype transition from contractile to synthetic type via ADAM17-mediated ACE2 shedding in VSMCs and retains the activation of ACE2-Ang-(1-7)-Mas axis, which may benefit the vascular structural remodeling in the metabolic hypertension.

Abstract
Despite limited biomonitoring studies suggesting extensive antibiotic exposure in general population, the body burden of antibiotics in young children and their potential health risks remain unclear. To assess the antibiotic exposure levels in young children, 508 preschoolers aged 3-6 years were recruited from eastern China in 2022, and a total of 50 representative antibiotics from 8 categories, including 17 human antibiotics (HAs), 4 antibiotics preferred as HAs (PHAs), 16 veterinary antibiotics (VAs), and 13 antibiotics preferred as VAs (PVAs), were analyzed by UPLC-MS/MS. Hazard quotient (HQ) and hazard index (HI) were calculated to evaluate the health risks, and multivariate logistic regression was applied to examine diet with antibiotic exposure. Our results showed that there were 41 antibiotics detected in children's urine, and the overall detection frequency was as high as 100%. Sulfonamides, macrolides, β-lactams, quinolones, and azoles were the predominant categories of antibiotic detected. Among the studied children, 6.5% had a sum of estimated daily intake (EDI) of all VAs and PVAs larger than 1 μg/kg/day. Notably, 10.0% of the children had a microbiological HI value exceeding 1, primarily contributed by ciprofloxacin. Children with higher consumption of seafood had a relatively increased exposure to multiple categories of antibiotics, including HAs, VAs, quinolones, azoles, and others. Principal component analysis suggested that "Aquatic products and viscera preferred dietary pattern" scores were positively correlated with the exposure levels of ciprofloxacin (OR: 1.23; 95% CI: 1.02-1.47) and carbadox (OR: 1.32; 95% CI: 1.10-1.59), and a relatively increased exposure of PHAs was realized in children with higher "Meat-egg preferred dietary pattern" scores (OR: 1.24; 95% CI: 1.03-1.50). In conclusion, there was a widespread exposure to antibiotics among preschool children from eastern China, and children who consumed more animal-derived foods may had an increased exposure to antibiotics.

Abstract
In practical wireless sensor networks (WSNs), cascading failures are closely related to network load distribution, which in turn strongly relies on the locations of multiple sink nodes. For such a network, understanding how the multisink placement affects its cascading robustness is essential but still largely missing in the field of complex networks. To this end, this paper puts forward an actual cascading model for WSNs based on the multisink-oriented load distribution characteristics, in which two load redistribution mechanisms (i.e., global routing and local routing) are designed to imitate the most commonly used routing schemes. On this basis, a number of topological parameters are considered to quantify the sinks' locations, and then, the relationship between these quantities with network robustness is investigated on two typical WSN topologies. Moreover, by employing the simulated annealing approach, we find the optimal multisink placement for maximizing network robustness and compare the topological quantities before and after the optimization to validate our findings. The results indicate that for the sake of enhancing the cascading robustness of a WSN, it is better to place its sinks as hubs and decentralize these sinks, which is independent of network structure and routing scheme.

Abstract
Plasma Position Reflectometry (PPR) is planned to provide plasma position and shape information for plasma operation in future fusion reactors. Its primary function is to calibrate the drift of the magnetic signals due to the integral nature of magnetic measurement. Here, we attempt to measure plasma position using ordinary mode (O-mode) and extraordinary mode (X-mode) reflectometry systems on two tokamaks. A new physical model based on the phase shift is proposed to deduce the relative movement of the cut-off layer without density inversion. We demonstrate the plasma position measurements by absolute measurement from density profile inversion and relative measurement from phase shift. The combination of X-mode and O-mode reflectometers can minimize the limitations of single polarization reflectometry and further increase the accuracy of plasma position measurement. These results could provide an important technical basis for the further development of a real-time control system based on PPR.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Under the background that the concept of a community with shared future for mankind has been advocated, the doctor-patient relationship has rapidly sublimated into a community with shared future for doctor-patient. The purpose of this study was to analyze the changes and relationships of anxiety, perceived a community with shared future for doctor-patient (PCSF), health self-consciousness (HSC) and benefit finding (BF) in the outbreak stage of COVID-19 and in the stable stage of COVID-19. METHODS The questionnaire consisted of a self-designed health self-consciousness scale, perceived a community with shared future for doctor-patient scale, revised 7-item generalized anxiety disorder scale and benefit finding scale. Questionnaires were administered in the outbreak stage of COVID-19 and in the stable stage of COVID-19 to address public anxiety, BF, and trust between medical staff and patients. RESULTS Risk perception will increase anxiety in public, and the public who trust medical staff and the ability of the government to prevent and control the epidemic will have a higher PCSF. Compared with those in the outbreak stage of COVID-19, PCSF, HSC and BF all decreased in the stable stage of COVID-19. HSC partly plays a mediating role in the process of the influence of PCSF and BF (95% CI = [0.3785, 0.5007], [0.2357, 0.3695], P < .001). The R-value of the model in the outbreak stage of COVID-19 and in the stable stage of COVID-19 were 0.555 and 0.429, and the value of R2 was 0.308 and 0.184 respectively (P < .001). In the stable stage of COVID-19, the coefficient of anxiety ✕ PCSF is negative. The B values of anxiety and PCSF are positive, and the moderating effect is negative (P = .038). Anxiety has a negative moderating effect between PCSF and HSC, indicating that anxiety will weaken the positive impact of PCSF on HSC. It means that there exists a substitution relationship between anxiety and PCSF. CONCLUSIONS The common goal of medical staff and patients is health, and health is the premise of the meaning of life. Vigorously advocating for PCSF can not only promote a harmonious doctor-patient relationship, but also establish a good HSC and improve the understanding of the meaning of life in the public. Furthermore, if the common concept of a community with a shared future for doctor-patient is integrated into the values of life, it may be more stable and long-term to maintain a good doctor-patient relationship. In addition, we should guard against the influence of high-level anxiety on the path of meaning perception.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders are closely related to high-angle and skeletal Class II malocclusion. Sometimes pathological changes in the mandibular condyle can cause open bite to occur after growth is complete.
CASE SUMMARY This article is about the treatment of an adult male patient with a severe hyperdivergent skeletal Class II base, an unusual and gradually occurring open bite and an abnormal mandibular condyle anterior displacement. Because the patient refused surgery, four second molars with cavities and root canal therapy were extracted, and four mini-screws were used for intrusion of the posterior teeth. The treatment duration was 22 mo, and after the treatment, the open bite was corrected and the displaced mandibular condyles were seated back to the articular fossa as shown by cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). Based on the patient’s open bite history, the result of clinical examinations and CBCT comparisons, we believe it is possible that the occlusion interference was eliminated after the four second molars were extracted and the posterior teeth were intruded, and the patient's condyle spontaneously returned to its physiologic position. Finally, a normal overbite was established, and stable occlusion was achieved.
CONCLUSION This case report suggested that identifying the cause of open bite is essential, and the TMJ factors for hyperdivergent skeletal Class II cases should be particularly examined. For these cases, intruding posterior teeth may place the condyle in a more appropriate position and provide an environment suitable for TMJ recovery.

Abstract
The mechanism of m6A modification in HPV-related cervical cancer remains unclear. This study explored the role of methyltransferase components in HPV-related cervical cancer and the mechanism. The levels of methyltransferase components and autophagy, ubiquitylation of RBM15 protein and the co-localization of lysosomal markers LAMP2A and RBM15 were measured. CCK-8 assay, flow cytometry, clone formation experiment and immunofluorescence assay were conducted to measure cell proliferation. The mouse tumor model was developed to study the cell growth in vivo. The binding of RBM15 to c-myc mRNA and m6A modifcation of c-myc mRNA were analyzed. The expressions of METTL3, RBM15 and WTAP were higher in HPV-positive cervical cancer cell lines than those in HPV-negative cells, especially RBM15. HPV-E6 knock-down inhibited the expression of RBM15 protein and promoted its degradation, but couldn't change its mRNA level. Autophagy inhibitor and proteasome inhibitor could reverse those effects. HPV-E6 siRNA could not enhance ubiquitylation modification of RBM15, but could enhance autophagy and the co-localization of RBM15 and LAMP2A. RBM15 overexpression could enhance cell proliferation, block the inhibitory effects of HPV-E6 siRNA on cell growth, and these effects could be reserved by cycloeucine. RBM15 could bind to c-myc mRNA, resulting in an increase to m6A level and protein expression of c-myc, which could be blocked by cycloeucine. HPV-E6 can downregulate autophagy, inhibit the degradation of RBM15 protein, induce the accumulation of intracellular RBM15, and increase the m6A modification on c-myc mRNA, resulting in an increase of c-myc protein and a growth promotion for cervical cancer cells.

Abstract
Except for known sociodemographic factors, long-term exposure to environmental pollutants has been shown to contribute to the development of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), but the conclusions remain controversial. To provide a comprehensive overview of the association between environmental pollutants and GDM, we performed a systematic review and meta-analysis. Several electronic databases (PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Medline and Cochrane) were searched for related epidemiological and experimental studies up to September 2022. For epidemiological studies, a meta-analysis was carried out to appraise the effect of environmental pollutants, including polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), phenols, phthalates (PAEs), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) and parabens exposure on GDM. Moreover, we also summarized possible biological mechanisms linking pollution exposure and GDM based on the included experimental studies. A total of 80 articles were enrolled, including 38 epidemiological studies and 42 experimental studies. Meta-analysis results showed that exposure to PAEs [OR (95%CI) = 1.07 (1.00, 1.14)], PFASs [OR (95%CI) = 1.10 (1.01, 1.19)], as well as PCBs [OR (95%CI) = 1.18 (1.02, 1.36)] and PBDEs [OR (95%CI) = 1.33 (1.17, 1.50)] significantly increased the risk of GDM, but no significant effects were found for phenols, OCPs, and parabens. In addition, experimental studies suggested that the potential biological mechanisms of environmental pollutants contributing to GDM may involve insulin resistance, β-cell dysfunction, neurohormonal dysfunction, inflammation, oxidative stress, epigenetic modification, and alterations in gut microbiome. In conclusion, long-term environmental pollutants exposure may induce the development of GDM, and there may be a synergistic effect between the homologs. However, studies conducted on the direct biological link between environmental pollutants and GDM were few. More prospective studies and high-quality in vivo and in vitro experiments were needed to investigate the specific effects and mechanisms.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Lockdown was implemented in many countries during the pandemic, which led to myriad changes in pregnant women's lives. However, the potential impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on neonatal outcomes remain unclear. We aimed to evaluate the association between the pandemic and neonatal birth weight. STUDY DESIGN This was a systematic review and meta-analysis of the previous literature. METHODS We searched the MEDLINE and Embase databases up to May 2022 and extracted 36 eligible studies that compared neonatal birth weight between the pandemic and the prepandemic period. The following outcomes were included: mean birth weight, low birth weight (LBW), very low birth weight (VLBW), macrosomia, small for gestational age (SGA), very small for gestational age (VSGA), and large for gestational age (LGA). Statistical heterogeneity among studies was assessed to determine whether a random effects model or fixed effects model was conducted. RESULTS Of the 4514 studies identified, 36 articles were eligible for inclusion. A total of 1,883,936 neonates during the pandemic and 4,667,133 neonates during the prepandemic were reported. We identified a significant increase in mean birth weight (pooled mean difference [95% confidence interval (CI)] = 15.06 [10.36, 19.76], I2 = 0.0%, 12 studies) and a reduction in VLBW (pooled OR [95% CI] = 0.86 [0.77, 0.97], I2 = 55.4%, 12 studies). No overall effect was identified for other outcomes: LBW, macrosomia, SGA, VSGA, and LGA. There was publication bias for mean birth weight with a borderline significance (Egger's P = 0.050). CONCLUSION Pooled results showed the pandemic was significantly associated with an increase in mean birth weight and a reduction in VLBW, but not for other outcomes. This review provided clues about the indirect effects of the pandemic on neonatal birth weight and more healthcare measures needed to improve neonatal long-term health.

Abstract
Osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) are chronic and progressive inflammatory joint diseases that affect a large population worldwide. Intra-articular administration of various therapeutics is applied to alleviate pain, prevent further progression, and promote cartilage regeneration and bone remodeling in both OA and RA. However, the effectiveness of intra-articular injection with traditional drugs is uncertain and controversial due to issues such as rapid drug clearance and the barrier afforded by the dense structure of cartilage. Nanoparticles can improve the efficacy of intra-articular injection by facilitating controlled drug release, prolonged retention time, and enhanced penetration into joint tissue. This review systematically summarizes nanoparticle-based therapies for OA and RA management. Firstly, we explore the interaction between nanoparticles and joints, including articular fluids and cells. This is followed by a comprehensive analysis of current nanoparticles designed for OA/RA, divided into two categories based on therapeutic mechanisms: direct therapeutic nanoparticles and nanoparticles-based drug delivery systems. We highlight nanoparticle design for tissue/cell targeting and controlled drug release before discussing challenges of nanoparticle-based therapies for efficient OA and RA treatment and their future clinical translation. We anticipate that rationally designed local injection of nanoparticles will be more effective, convenient, and safer than the current therapeutic approach.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to describe a modified transcrestal sinus floor elevation (mTSFE) technique and to evaluate its clinical effectiveness and reliability when residual bone height is severely reduced. Forty-three maxillary edentulous patients who met the inclusion criteria were enrolled. All patients underwent the mTSFE technique; 66 dental implants were inserted simultaneously. Patient-reported outcomes were assessed 2 weeks after surgery. Prosthetic crowns were placed 6 months after surgery. Radiographic analyses and clinical analyses were conducted to assess the clinical effectiveness and feasibility of mTSFE during a follow-up period of 2-8 years. The mean vertical bone increase after surgery was 8.09 mm, and it decreased to 6.56 mm at 6 months after surgery. Two cases of membrane perforation occurred during surgery and one implant was lost in the third year after surgery; the survival rate at the implant level was 98.48%. No severe postoperative complication was reported and the subjective feeling of patients was acceptable. This mTSFE technique could simplify the operative procedure and might be helpful to reduce intraoperative trauma, as well as to alleviate postoperative discomfort.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM) is an extremely malignant tumor and accounts for the majority of skin cancer deaths. Aspartate beta-hydroxylase domain containing 1 (ASPHD1) may participate in cancer progression through controlling α-ketoglutarate-dependent dioxygenases. However, its role in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM) has not been well studied. METHODS The gene expression data of ASPDH1 and differentially expressed genes (DEGs) from TCGA and GTEx were evaluated, and verified via the GEO database. Then, we performed GO/KEGG, GSEA, PPI network analysis to analyze the functional implications of the DEGs related to ASPHD1. Then, the association between the ASPHD1 expression and clinical parameters was investigated by Cox regression analysis. Subsequently, the survival time of SKCM patients was evaluated by plotting Kaplan-Meier curves. Moreover, we investigated the correlation between the ASPHD1 expression and lymphocytic infiltration by using the data from TISIDB and TIMER 2.0. Next, we explored the association between ASPHD1 expression and drug sensitivity. Finally, we validate the expression differences by analyzing the results of qPCR, Western blot from human normal epidermal melanocytes and melanoma cells, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) from non-tumor skin as well as melanoma tissues. RESULTS The ASPHD1 expression level was significantly upregulated in several cancers, including SKCM especially SKCM-metastasis tissues, and patients with an increased ASPHD1 expression had longer overall survival time than low expression ones. The functional enrichment analysis of ASPHD1-related DEGs showed an association with cell development regulation and tumorigenic pathways. Furthermore, the increased ASPHD1 expression level was associated with the level of immunostimulors, immunoinhibitors, chemokines, and TILs, such as CD4+, CD8+ T cell, mast cell, Th2 cell, and dendritic cell. More interesting, we found that ASPHD1 expression was tightly associated with CTLA4 and CD276 which are immune checkpoint markers. Moreover, the upregulated expression of ASPHD1 exhibited higher IC50 values for 24 chemotherapy drugs, including doxorubicin, and masitinib. Finally, the differential expression of ASPHD1 in SKCM was validated by the results of qPCR, Western blot, and IHC. CONCLUSION The expression of ASPHD1 in SKCM patients is closely related to patient survival. ASPHD1 may participate in the regulation of tumor immune microenvironment. Additionally, it may serve as a prognostic biomarker for SKCM and future in-depth studies are necessary to explore its value.

Abstract
The evolutions of MHD instability behaviors and enhancement of both electrostatic and electromagnetic turbulence towards the plasma disruption have been clearly observed in the HL-2A plasmas. Two types of plasma disruptive discharges have been investigated for similar equilibrium parameters: one with a distinct stage of a small central temperature collapse ([Formula: see text] 5-10%) around 1 millisecond before the thermal quench (TQ), while the other without. For both types, the TQ phase is preceded by a rotating 2/1 tearing mode, and it is the development of the cold bubble from the inner region of the 2/1 island O-point along with its inward convection that causes the massive energy loss. In addition, the micro-scale turbulence, including magnetic fluctuations and density fluctuations, increases before the small collapse, and more significantly towards the TQ. Also, temperature fluctuations measured by electron cyclotron emission imaging enhances dramatically at the reconnection site and expand into the island when approaching the small collapse and TQ, and the expansion is more significant close to the TQ. The observed turbulence enhancement near the X-point cannot be fully interpreted by the linear stability analysis by GENE. Evidences suggest that nonlinear effects, such as the reduction of local [Formula: see text] shear and turbulence spreading, may play an important role in governing turbulence enhancement and expansion. These results imply that the turbulence and its interaction with the island facilitate the stochasticity of the magnetic flux and formation of the cold bubble, and hence, the plasma disruption.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The evidence-base for mass tuberculosis screening among persons with diabetes (PWD) is poor. We evaluated the yield and costs of mass screening among PWD in eastern China. METHODS We included individuals with type 2 diabetes from 38 townships in Jiangsu Province. Screening comprised of physical examinations, symptom screening, and chest X-rays; smear and culture testing were performed through clinical triage. We assessed the yield, and number needed to screen (NNS) to detect one tuberculosis case among all PWD, those with symptoms, and with suggestive chest X-rays. Unit costing was collected to estimate screening costs and to calculate cost per case detected. We performed a systematic review of other mass tuberculosis screening programs concentrated on PWD. RESULTS Of 89,549 screened PWD, 160 were diagnosed with tuberculosis (179 cases per 100,000 persons; 95%CI, 153-205). The NNS was 560 (95%CI, 513-606), 248 (95%CI, 217-279), and 36 (95%CI, 24-48) among all participants, with abnormal chest X-rays, and symptoms. The cost per case was high overall (US$13,930) but lower with symptoms (US$1,037) and high fasting blood glucose levels (US$6,807). From systematic review, the pooled NNS to detect one case among all PWD (regardless of symptoms or chest X-ray results) in high- versus low-burden settings was 93 (95%CI, 70-141) versus 395 (95% CI, 283-649). CONCLUSIONS A mass tuberculosis screening program focused on PWD was feasible however, the overall yield was low and not cost-efficient. Risk-stratified approaches may be practical among PWD in low- and medium tuberculosis burden settings.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), a metabolism-related pregnancy complication, is significantly associated with an increased risk of macrosomia. We hypothesized that maternal circulating metabolic biomarkers differed between women with GDM and macrosomia (GDM-M) and women with GDM and normal neonatal weight (GDM-N), and had good prediction performance for GDM-M. METHODS Plasma samples from 44 GDM-M and 44 GDM-N were analyzed using Olink Proseek multiplex metabolism assay targeting 92 biomarkers. Combined different clinical characteristics and Olink markers, LASSO regression was used to optimize variable selection, and Logistic regression was applied to build a predictive model. Nomogram was developed based on the selected variables visually. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, calibration plot, and clinical impact curve were used to validate the model. RESULTS We found 4 metabolism-related biomarkers differing between groups [CLUL1 (Clusterin-like protein 1), VCAN (Versican core protein), FCRL1 (Fc receptor-like protein 1), RNASE3 (Eosinophil cationic protein), FDR < 0.05]. Based on the different clinical characteristics and Olink markers, a total of nine predictors, namely pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI), weight gain at 24 gestational weeks (gw), parity, oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) 2 h glucose at 24 gw, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) at 24 gw, and plasma expression of CLUL1, VCAN and RNASE3 at 24 gw, were identified by LASSO regression. The model constructed using these 9 predictors displayed good prediction performance for GDM-M, with an area under the ROC of 0.970 (sensitivity = 0.955, specificity = 0.886), and was well calibrated (P Hosmer-Lemeshow test = 0.897). CONCLUSION The Model included pre-pregnancy BMI, weight gain at 24 gw, parity, OGTT 2 h glucose at 24 gw, HDL and LDL at 24 gw, and plasma expression of CLUL1, VCAN and RNASE3 at 24 gw had good prediction performance for predicting macrosomia in women with GDM.

Abstract
In order to understand the research status of the relationship between health communication and doctor-patient relationship, and to explore a new path of the impact of health communication on doctor-patient relationship, this paper adopted qualitative methods to quantize the literature over the past 10 years in the Web of Science database and carried out Co-Authorship Analysis, Co-Citation Analysis and Co-Occurrence Analysis based on CiteSpace. In addition, according to the results of bibliometric research, self-designed questionnaires were used to verify the result. A convenience sampling survey was conducted through the online "Questionnaire Star" platform (https://www.wjx.cn) on May 8, 2022, and a total of 254 questionnaires were collected. Interviewees were asked to use social software to acquire health knowledge. Participants come from 21 provinces, 4 municipalities, and 4 autonomous regions across the country, which is geographically representative. The results show that uncertainty of social media information and the particularity of the epidemic make the research on health communication and doctor-patient relationship in social media become a new hot spot. Social media health information quality (source credibility and content trust perception), information asymmetry perception, doctor-patient communication, doctor-patient consistency, doctor-patient trust, doctor-patient relationship may be the key variables for constructing theoretical models.

Abstract
Multidrug-resistant bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) cause infections that are difficult to treat globally, even with current available antibiotics. Therefore, there is an urgent need to search for novel antibiotics to tackle this problem. Endophytes are a potential source of novel bioactive compounds; however, the harnessing of novel pharmacological compounds from endophytes is infinite. Therefore, this study was designed to identify endophytic fungi (from Ageratina adenophora) with antibacterial activity against multidrug-resistant bacteria. Using fungal morphology and ITS-rDNA, endophytic fungi with antibacterial activities were isolated from A. adenophora. The results of the ITS rDNA sequence analysis showed that a total of 124 morphotype strains were identified. In addition, Species richness (S, 52), Margalef index (D/, 7.3337), Shannon-Wiener index (H/,3.6745), and Simpson's diversity index (D, 0.9304) showed that A. adenophora have abundant endophytic fungi resources. Furthermore, the results of the agar well diffusion showed that the Penicillium sclerotigenum, Diaporthe kochmanii, and Pestalotiopsis trachycarpicola endophytic fungi's ethyl acetate extracts showed moderate antibacterial and bactericidal activities, against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) SMU3194, with a MIC of 0.5-1 mg/mL and a MBC of 1-2 mg/mL. In summary, A. adenophora contains endophytic fungi resources that can be pharmacologically utilized, especially as antibacterial drugs.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Carbapenem-resistant Bacteroides fragilis has emerged globally and cfiA is the key underlying factor. However, the prevalence of cfiA-positive carbapenem-resistant B. fragilis varies among countries. Therefore, we investigated the prevalence of cfiA-positive B. fragilis clinical isolates in a tertiary hospital in China. METHODS Carbapenem-resistant cfiA-positive B. fragilis isolates were identified using polymerase chain reaction. Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) was used to identify the characteristic mass spectra of cfiA-positive B. fragilis. RESULTS The prevalence of cfiA among 153 B. fragilis isolates was 22.2% (34/153), when 20.6% (7/34) cfiA-positive B. fragilis strains were isolated from pediatric patients. Twenty-one carbapenem-resistant B. fragilis isolates were identified and were all positive with cfiA gene. Two characteristic peaks (4825 and 9642 Da) were identified using MALDI-TOF MS, and the sensitivity, specificity, and both the positive and negative predictive values of these two peaks were 100%. A new peak shift from 9627 Da for cfiA-negative isolates to 9642 Da for cfiA-positive isolates was observed. CONCLUSIONS A high prevalence of cfiA was observed among B.fragilis isolates in this study, especially those isolated from pediatric patients. Characteristic MS spectra can accurately discriminate cfiA-positive and -negative B. fragilis isolates and can contribute to the rapid screening of cfiA-positive B. fragilis isolates in clinical laboratories.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Mendelian disorders of the epigenetic machinery (MDEMs) are a newly identified group of neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) and multiple congenital anoMalies caused by mutations in genes encoding components of the epigenetic machinery. Many studies have shown that MDEM-associated mutations may disrupt the balance between chromatin states and trigger dysplasia. AIM To help eight Chinese families with neurodevelopmental disorders acquire a definitive diagnosis. METHODS In this study, we used whole-exome sequencing (WES) to diagnose eight unrelated Chinese families with NDDs. We also verified the potential pathogenic variants by Sanger sequencing and analyzed the changes in gene expression along with histone methylation modifications. RESULTS Eight variants of six epigenetic machinery genes were identified, six of which were novel. Six variants were pathogenic (P) or likely pathogenic (LP), while two novel missense variants (c.5113T>C in CHD1 and c.10444C>T in KMT2D) were classified to be variants of uncertain significance (VUS). Further functional studies verified that c.5113T>C in CHD1 results in decreased protein levels and increased chromatin modifications (H3K27me3). In addition, c.10444C>T in KMT2D led to a significant decrease in mRNA transcription and chromatin modifications (H3K4me1). Based on experimental evidence, these two VUS variants could be classified as LP. CONCLUSION This study provided a definitive diagnosis of eight families with NDDs and expanded the mutation spectrum of MDEMs, enriching the pathogenesis study of variants in epigenetic machinery genes.

Abstract
Background: Seckel syndrome (SCKL) is a rare autosomal recessive inherited disorder, which is mainly characterized by intrauterine and postnatal growth restrictions, microcephaly, intellectual disability, and a typical "bird-head" facial appearance. Here, we aimed to identify the genetic etiology of a family with suspected SCKL. Methods: This study enrolled a Chinese family suspected of SCKL with their detailed family history and clinical data. We performed karyotype analysis, copy number variation sequencing (CNV-seq), and trio whole-exome sequencing (WES) to explore the genetic etiology in the proband. Furthermore, the quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and reverse transcription-PCR (RT-PCR) were conducted to confirm the pathogenicity of novel variants. Results: The karyotype analysis and CNV-seq were normal in the proband. Two novel variants in CEP152, c.1060C>T (p.Arg354*) and c.1414-14A>G, were identified in the proband through trio-WES. The qPCR results showed that the total CEP152 mRNA expression levels were significantly reduced in c.1060C>T (p.Arg354*) and c.1414-14A>G compared with healthy control individuals. Moreover, aberrant skipping of exon 12 due to the non-canonical splice-site variant was revealed by RT-PCR and Sanger sequencing. Conclusion: Our findings expanded pathogenic variant spectra in SCKL and offered new insights into the pathogenicity of a non-classical splice-site variant in CEP152, which provided additional information for helping the family improve pregnancy plans in the future.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Hypoglycemia is a common phenomenon in patients with various severe liver diseases. However, its implications for the prognosis of patients with acute on chronic liver failure remains largely unknown. This study investigated the status of hypoglycemia in patients with acute on chronic liver failure, as well as its risk factors and correlation with 90-day patient outcomes. METHODS A total of 218 patients with acute on chronic liver failure diagnosed and treated in our hospital from January 2019 to August 2021 were enrolled. Hypoglycemia is defined as a fasting blood glucose level ≤2.8 mmol/L. Baseline data on the patients' clinical characteristics and laboratory examinations were collected. Patients were followed-up with a primary outcome of 90-day mortality. The risk factors for hypoglycemia were identified by univariate and multivariate logistic regression. RESULTS A total of 99 cases (45.41%) had hypoglycemia. Liver cirrhosis [odds ratio (OR) =5.16, P<0.001] and a higher model for end-stage liver disease (MELD) score (OR =1.29, P<0.001) were risk factors for hypoglycemia in acute on chronic liver failure, while higher fibrinogen (FIB) was a protective factor for hypoglycemia (OR =0.17, P=0.001). The 90-day mortality rate in the hypoglycemia group was significantly higher than that in the non-hypoglycemia group (72.73% vs. 48.74%, P<0.001). After adjusting for hepatic encephalopathy, cirrhosis, and MELD scores, hypoglycemia (OR =8.72, P=0.01) was still an independent risk factor for 90-day mortality in patients with acute on chronic liver failure. CONCLUSIONS Hypoglycemia is common in patients with acute on chronic liver failure and is related to poor prognosis. Patients with cirrhosis, a higher MELD score, and a significant decrease in FIB are more likely to develop hypoglycemia. Thus whether ameliorating hypoglycemia could improve patient outcomes deserves additional investigations.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Maternal mortality has always been a major medical concern. Recently, the successful application of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) technology in the rescue of near-death patients has been reported. CASE PRESENTATION This study retrospectively analyzed 5 cases of critically ill pregnant women/parturients treated with ECMO for respiratory and circulatory failure in the Wuxi People's Hospital from 2018 to 2020. The mean age of the 5 cases was 30.2 years. Among them, Cases 1 and 5 were treated with Venoarterial (VA) ECMO. Case 1 was diagnosed with congenital heart disease, atrial septal defect, and severe pulmonary hypertension. VA ECMO was applied before cesarean section and was successfully removed after double lung transplantation, but the patient died 10 months after delivery from lung infection. While Case 5 was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus, lupus nephritis, thrombotic vascular disease, HELLP syndrome, and cerebral hemorrhage. VA ECMO was applied 39 days after cesarean section, and the patient died 40 days after delivery due to multiple organ failure. Cases 3 and 4 were treated with Venovenous (VV) ECMO. Case 3 was diagnosed with refractory postpartum hemorrhage, and Case 4 was diagnosed with postpartum hypoglycemic coma, aspiration pneumonia, and shock. They were treated with VV ECMO after delivery, and all survived after successful evacuation. Another Case (Case 2) was diagnosed with postpartum pelvic infection, sepsis and septic shock, and was treated with VA ECMO at 15 days after delivery. The patient changed to VV ECMO at 30 days after delivery due to significant improvement in heart function and poor lung function, but eventually died of multiple organ failure. For the 5 cases, the mean duration of ECMO was 8.7 days, the mean duration of intensive care was 22.0 days, and the mean length of hospital stay was 57.6 days. As a result, 3 patients gradually returned to normal with significant improvement in ventilation and oxygenation after ECMO treatment. CONCLUSIONS ECMO technology can be used to treat some of the critical obstetric patients with respiratory and circulatory failure that is ineffective to conventional treatment, but it has no therapeutic effect on the primary disease.
