Mycobacterium tuberculosis latent infection in healthcare students: systematic review of prevalence

OBJECTIVE

The aim of this study was to synthesize the evidence on the prevalence of latent Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection (LTBI) among undergraduate health care students.

METHODS

A systematic review of prevalence with meta-analysis was conducted. Prospective and retrospective cohorts and cross-sectional studies involving probable exposure to M. tuberculosis during undergraduate education, along with the tuberculin skin test (TST) or interferon-γ release assay (IGRA) for investigation of latent tuberculosis were searched. Searches were conducted in MEDLINE, CINAHL, EMBASE, LILACS, Scopus, and Web of Science databases. Independent reviewers were responsible for the selection and inclusion of studies. Data were extracted, critically appraised, and synthesized using the JBI approach. PRISMA was used to report the study.

RESULTS

Twenty-two studies were analyzed. The overall prevalence in healthcare undergraduate students was 12.53%.

CONCLUSION

The prevalence of LTBI in undergraduate health students was high for such a highly educated population. Screening with TST and/or IGRA and chemoprophylaxis, when necessary, should be provided to undergraduate health students when in contact with respiratory symptomatic patients.

Use of an application on the measles vaccine for Warao indigenous refugees in Brazil

OBJECTIVE

To evaluate the need to develop an application with information about the measles vaccine for Warao indigenous people.

METHODS

This was a quantitative study conducted at the Espaço de Acolhimento Tapanã refugee shelter in the city of Belém, Pará, Brazil. The study sample was selected for convenience. Data were analyzed descriptively using Bioestat 5.0 software.

RESULTS

Twenty-one Warao indigenous individuals were interviewed. It was identified that 91% (n=20) had lost their vaccination card; 91% (n=20) stated they had lost their vaccination card more than three times, and 91% expressed interest in an application to store their vaccination information.

CONCLUSIONS

The research provided important information for the development of a health application named WaraoMedI (Warao Measles Diversity Indigenous), as well as offered nursing professionals evidence about the challenges Warao indigenous refugees face in self-managing their vaccination information.

Knowledge and practices about health among Quilombola men: contributions to health care

OBJECTIVE

to analyze health knowledge and practices among Quilombola men.

METHODS

a qualitative, descriptive study, carried out with 40 men from two Quilombola communities in Santa Izabel do Pará, state of Pará, Brazil. Individual interviews were carried out using a semi-structured script. Text corpus was subjected to analysis with Interface de R pour les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires 0.6, alpha 3, through Descending Hierarchical Classification.

RESULTS

among participants, eight (20.00%) were aged 55 to 59 years. 382 text segments were identified, with 299 (78.27%) being used, generating five lexical classes, which made up two subcorpora. The classes were organized into four thematic axes, covering knowledge about health and practices to prevent and solve health problems.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

men highlighted popular/traditional wisdom permeated by biomedical knowledge, translating their understanding of how to act to remain or become healthy.

Human immunodeficiency virus infection in pregnant women and its correlation with socioeconomic determinants

OBJECTIVE

To analyze the spatial pattern of human immunodeficiency virus infection in pregnant women and its correlation with socioeconomic determinants.

METHOD

Ecological study, carried out with cases of human immunodeficiency virus infection in pregnant women in the state of Pará, Brazil, from 2010 to 2017. Rate analysis was performed using the empirical Bayesian method and univariate local Moran. Bivariate analyses were used to examine the correlation between infection and socioeconomic determinants.

RESULTS

High rates of infection were observed in municipalities in the mesoregions of Southeast of Pará and Metropolitan area of Belém. A significant spatial correlation was found between human immunodeficiency virus infection rates in pregnant women and human development index indicators (I = 0.2836; p < 0.05), average income (I = 0.6303; p < 0.05), and illiteracy rate (I = 0.4604; p < 0.05).

CONCLUSION

The spatial pattern of human immunodeficiency virus infection in pregnant women correlated to socioeconomic determinants highlights the need to restructure public policies for the control and prevention of AIDS virus that take into account the socioeconomic factors of this specific population and locoregional disparities in Pará.

Educational technology on tuberculosis: construction shared with Primary Health Care nurses

OBJECTIVE

to develop, in a participatory way, an educational technology to assist nurses in the management of tuberculosis cases in Primary Health Care.

METHODS

methodological research with a qualitative approach. Data were collected between June and October 2022, in 25 Basic Health Units, with 41 nurses interviewed individually. Thematic content analysis was carried out to guide technology elaboration.

RESULTS

three empirical categories were organized, demonstrating the facilities and difficulties in tuberculosis management, the conceptions about educational technology as a facilitator of the teaching-learning process in Primary Health Care and participatory development of technology. Nurses were in favor of constructing an instructional guide technology, and made suggestions to encourage its creation and use in daily service routine.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

the participatory process made it possible to create technology to assist nurses in the teaching-learning process in Primary Health Care about caring for people with tuberculosis.

Access of people with pulmonary tuberculosis to government programs: Primary Care professionals' perceptions

OBJECTIVE

to analyze Primary Health Care professionals' perceptions about the access of people with pulmonary tuberculosis to government social support and income transfer programs.

METHODS

multicenter/qualitative study, carried out in Family Health Units in four Brazilian capitals: Belém/Pará, Campo Grande/Mato Grosso do Sul, Recife/Pernambuco and Rio de Janeiro/Rio de Janeiro. Fifty-eight professionals participated (social workers, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, physicians and nursing technicians), who provided assistance to people with pulmonary tuberculosis. Individual interviews were conducted, and the content analysis technique was used.

RESULTS

among the participants, 45/77.6% were women and 33/56.9% were between 25 and 40 years old. Two thematic categories were organized, demonstrating the perceptions about the possibilities of access to government programs by people with pulmonary tuberculosis in vulnerable situations and the obstacles inherent to this context.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

it is necessary to move forward in improving patient access to social programs.

Social representations of pregnant women about high-risk pregnancy: repercussions for prenatal care

OBJECTIVE

To analyze the Social Representations of pregnant women about high-risk pregnancy and its repercussions for prenatal care.

METHOD

Qualitative study, based on the procedural aspect of the Theory of Social Representations, carried out with 62 high-risk prenatal pregnant women at a High Complexity Maternity, in Belém, PA, Brazil. Data from semi-structured interviews were processed by the software Interface de R pour les Analyzes Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires.

RESULTS

Four categories emerged, in which three dimensions of the Theory composing the genesis of Social Representations are considered: the affective dimension, the biological dimension and the sociocultural dimension.

CONCLUSION

Affects, negative feelings, and adaptations were revealed, with high-risk pregnancy being represented as an unusual and uncomfortable event, influenced by common sense and science, communication means, and dialogues with health professionals, with family support being considered of paramount importance. and prenatal care a propitious moment for establishing bonds with the health professional, seen as essential for their adherence to the care offered.

Incidence of malaria among indigenous people associated with the presence of artisanal mining

OBJECTIVE

To analyze the incidence of malaria among indigenous people associated with the presence of artisanal miningin the state of Pará.

METHOD

Analytical, cross-sectional study conducted with 20,774 cases of malaria in indigenous people in the state of Pará (2011 to 2020). The data came from the Malaria Epidemiological Surveillance Information System, obtained from the Pará State Department of Public Health. In the analysis, Spearman's correlation coefficient was used, with a significance of 5% (p < 0.05).

RESULTS

Incidence rates were high, especially in the Tapajós River Indigenous Special Health District (372.2/1,000 inhabitants). There was association between the incidence of malaria and the presence of indigenous people in artisanalmining activities on the Tapajós River (p=0.0008).

CONCLUSION

The occurrence of malaria is unequal among the Special Indigenous Health Districts, being more frequent in those with greater mining activity, configuring exposure to the disease. It is necessary to adopt intersectoral measures, especially in areas of vulnerability to illness.

Condições de saúde e relação com os serviços de saúde na perspectiva de pessoas de quilombo

Resumo Objetivos analisar as percepções da população quilombola de Caldeirão sobre suas condições de saúde e identificar as possibilidades e dificuldades na relação com os serviços de saúde em seu território. Método estudo qualitativo, descritivo e exploratório, realizado na Comunidade Quilombola de Caldeirão, Ilha de Marajó, Pará, Brasil. A produção dos dados ocorreu no período de março a abril de 2021, por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas individuais com 30 moradores, e aplicou-se a análise de conteúdo temática. Resultados originaram-se duas categorias empíricas, revelando as percepções da população quilombola sobre suas condições de saúde e o processo saúde-doença, a relação que a comunidade mantinha com os serviços de saúde locais e as potencialidades e fragilidades inerentes a essa relação. Conclusões e implicações para a prática as percepções dos quilombolas evidenciaram predomínio do saber biomédico e da visão hospitalocêntrica, além de sua relação fragilizada com os serviços de saúde locais. Espera-se que os resultados da pesquisa suscitem o diálogo acerca dessas populações, considerando que representam um grupo tradicional em situação de vulnerabilidade. É necessário realizar outras pesquisas para investigar/fortalecer o papel da Estratégia Saúde da Família e desvelar/problematizar os saberes tradicionais, frente à hegemonia do saber biomédico, no cenário das populações quilombolas.

Práticas de cuidado em saúde com crianças quilombolas: percepção dos cuidadores

Resumo Objetivo analisar, na percepção dos cuidadores, as práticas de cuidado em saúde prestadas às crianças quilombolas. Método estudo exploratório-descritivo, qualitativo, realizado na comunidade quilombola Santa Rita de Barreira, São Miguel do Guamá, Pará, Brasil. Os dados foram produzidos entre julho e setembro de 2021, com cuidadores de crianças de zero a cinco anos, por meio de entrevistas individuais guiadas com instrumento semiestruturado. Para análise, utilizou-se o Microsoft Office Excel 2019 e o software Interface de R pour les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires 0.7, alpha 2, por meio da Classificação Hierárquica Descendente. Resultados participaram 18 cuidadores do sexo feminino, com idade entre 20 e 67 anos. Relacionaram o cuidado à prevenção e ao tratamento de doenças, aos hábitos de vida, ao acesso aos serviços de saúde e às práticas populares que valorizam a medicina tradicional. Conclusões e implicações para a prática os saberes e as ações das mulheres expressaram influências de sua cultura, suas crenças e seus modos de interpretar e simbolizar a realidade. Reconhecer e problematizar as práticas quilombolas no cuidado às crianças é um desafio que ultrapassa o discurso biomédico, reducionista e estigmatizante, contexto no qual é preciso ampliar o debate interdisciplinar sobre o tema.

Health care practices with Quilombola children: caregivers’ perception

Abstract Objective to analyze, in caregivers’ perception, the health care practices provided to Quilombola children. Method an exploratory-descriptive, qualitative study carried out in the Quilombola community Santa Rita de Barreira, São Miguel do Guamá, Pará, Brazil. Data were produced between July and September 2021, with caregivers of children aged zero to five years, through individual interviews guided with a semi-structured instrument. For analysis, Microsoft Office Excel 2019 and the Interface de R pour les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires 0.7, alpha 2 were used, through Descending Hierarchical Classification. Results eighteen female caregivers participated, aged between 20 and 67 years. They related care to disease prevention and treatment, life habits, health services access and popular practices that value traditional medicine. Conclusions and implications for practice women’s knowledge and actions expressed influences from their culture, their beliefs and their ways of interpreting and symbolizing reality. Recognizing and questioning Quilombola practices in child care is a challenge that goes beyond the biomedical, reductionist and stigmatizing discourse, a context in which it is necessary to expand the interdisciplinary debate on the subject.

Geoespacialização da tuberculose e os programas de transferência de renda entre indígenas em território endêmico

RESUMO Objetivo: Analisar o padrão espacial de tuberculose em indígenas do Pará e sua correlação com transferência de renda. Métodos: Estudo ecológico, com 340 casos notificados em indígenas no Pará/Brasil, no período 2016-2020. Realizou-se análise descritiva e cálculo das taxas de incidência com suavização pelo método bayesiano empírico local. Fez-se autocorrelação das taxas com dados de transferência de renda pelo Moran Global, p<0,05. Resultados: As mesorregiões Marajó e Metropolitana de Belém apresentaram as taxas de tuberculose mais elevadas e reduzido número de pessoas beneficiadas com transferência de renda (correlação alto-baixo). No Sudoeste, identificaram se taxas elevadas e número significativo de pessoas beneficiadas com os auxílios financeiros (correlação alto alto), I=0,399, p=0,027. Conclusões: A autocorrelação espacial entre tuberculose e acesso a programas de transferência de renda constitui importante subsídio para formulação de políticas de proteção social, podendo impactar as ações de controle da doença nos territórios indígenas, valorizando a heterogeneidade epidemiológica identificada nas mesorregiões.

Health conditions and relationship with health services from Quilombola people’s perspective

Abstract Objectives to analyze the perceptions of the Quilombola population of Caldeirão about their health conditions and to identify the possibilities and difficulties in the relationship with the health services in their territory. Method a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study, carried out in the Quilombola Community from Caldeirão, Marajó Island, Pará, Brazil. Data production took place from March to April 2021, through individual semi-structured interviews with 30 residents, and thematic content analysis was applied. Results two empirical categories originated, revealing the Quilombola population’s perceptions about their health conditions and the health-disease process, the relationship that the community had with the local health services and the strengths and weaknesses inherent to this relationship. Conclusions and implications for practice Quilombola people’s perceptions showed a predominance of biomedical knowledge and a hospital-centric view, in addition to their weakened relationship with local health services. It is expected that the research results will encourage dialogue about these populations, considering that they represent a traditional group in a vulnerable situation. It is necessary to carry out further research to investigate/strengthen the Family Health Strategy role and unveil/problematize traditional knowledge in the face of biomedical knowledge hegemony in the scenario of Quilombola populations.

Mortalidade infantil associada às iniquidades sociais: revisão de escopo

Objetivo: Mapear e caracterizar pesquisas sobre mortalidade infantil associada às iniquidades sociais em menores de um ano. Método: Revisão de escopo realizada segundo recomendações do Joanna Briggs Institute e o Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Review (PRISMA-ScR), no período de março a abril/2021, nas bases MEDLINE, LILACS e CINAHL. Foram incluídos estudos primários, revisões sistemáticas, metanálises, guidelines, diretrizes e relatórios descritivos, nos idiomas português, inglês e espanhol, publicados entre 2015 e 2021. Resultados: Das 7.016 publicações, 61 foram selecionadas, e agrupadas segundo o perfil socioeconômico da mãe e a oferta em saúde, evidenciando-se as iniquidades sociais como: baixa escolaridade; baixa renda; domicílio em zona rural e, dificuldade de acesso a assistência de qualidade como determinantes para a mortalidade infantil. Conclusões: Observou-se a ampla produção de estudos acerca da mortalidade infantil associada as vulnerabilidades sociais em um panorama geral.

Geospatialization of tuberculosis and income transfer programs among Indigenous peoples in an endemic territory

OBJECTIVE

To analyze the spatial pattern of tuberculosis in Indigenous peoples from the State of Pará and its correlation with income transfer.

METHODS

Ecological study, with 340 cases reported in Indigenous peoples in the State of Pará, Brazil, in the period 2016-2020. The study performed a descriptive analysis and calculation of incidence rates with smoothing by the local empirical Bayesian method. The Global Moran index assessed the autocorrelation of the rates with income transfer data, p<0,05.

RESULTS

The Marajó and metropolitan mesoregions of Belém had the highest tuberculosis rates, and a reduced number of people benefited from income transfer (high-low correlation). The study identified high rates, and a significant number of people benefited from financial aid (high correlation high), I=0.399, p=0.027 in the Southwest.

CONCLUSIONS

The spatial autocorrelation between tuberculosis and access to income transfer programs constitutes a relevant subsidy for the formulation of social protection policies and may impact the disease control actions in Indigenous territories, valuing the epidemiological heterogeneity identified in the mesoregions.

PERFIL DA PRODUÇÃO CIENTÍFICA SOBRE A INFECÇÃO LATENTE DA TUBERCULOSE: ESTUDO BIBLIOMÉTRICO

Objetivo: analisar o perfil bibliométrico da produção científica sobre a infecção latente da tuberculose, disponível na base de dados Web of Science. Métodos: estudo bibliométrico, com abordagem quantitativa. Organizou-se estratégia de busca com termos do vocabulário Medical Subject Headings, incluindo publicações de janeiro de 2016 a agosto de 2021. Realizou-se análise estatística descritiva e aplicou-se as Leis de Bradford e Zipf. Resultados: a amostra se constituiu por 2.460 publicações, com predomínio de artigos originais, no idioma inglês, dos anos de 2018 a 2020. Destacaram-se 10 autores e 25 instituições norte-americanas e britânicas. Estados Unidos da América e Inglaterra foram os países que mais publicaram. A principal área de pesquisa foi a de doenças infecciosas. Identificaram-se 25 periódicos mais influentes e 10 palavras-chave com maior representatividade. Conclusões: constatou-se que a produção científica sobre a infecção latente da tuberculose é extensa e diversificada, e apresentou tendência de aumento no período estudado.

Temporal and Spatial Analysis Techniques as Potential Tools for Combating the HIV Epidemic among Young Brazilian Amazonian People: An Ecological Study

Background: The main goal of this study was to analyze the HIV epidemic temporally and spatially among young people living in Pará, Brazil, from 2007 to 2018. Methods: For the temporal analysis, we employed an integrated autoregression of moving averages model associated with the seasonal trend using the LOESS decomposition method, which allowed for predictions to be made. In the spatial analysis, the techniques of autocorrelation, spatial and spatio-temporal risk analysis, and geographically weighted regression were used. Results: During the study period, there were 8143 notifications of HIV/AIDS cases. The temporal prediction indicated a trend of growth in the incidence rate in the 20–24-year-old group from January 2019 to December 2022 and a trend of stability in the 15- to 19-year-old and 25- to 29-year-old groups. There was a territorial expansion of the HIV epidemic in Pará. Novo Progresso and the Metropolitan Region of Belém (RMB) were the zones with the highest spatial and spatio-temporal risk for HIV. Social determinants including the Basic Education Development Index, the number of physicians per 10,000 inhabitants, and the municipal high school abandonment rate in the municipalities were associated with the risk of HIV/AIDS among young people in Pará. Conclusions: To eliminate HIV among young people in Pará, the access to treatment, diagnosis, and preventive healthcare services should be expanded. Sexual and reproductive health education should be reinforced in schools and communities. Furthermore, it is necessary to promote social equity and fight HIV stigma.

Access to government social programs and the tuberculosis control program: a multicenter study

ABSTRACT Objectives: to analyze government social initiatives aimed at people with tuberculosis and the possibilities of access to government social programs and income transfers through the perception of tuberculosis program managers. Methods: descriptive, qualitative study with 19 managers from Belém, Recife, Campo Grande, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Thematic content analysis was used. Results: there is no specific government social support for people with tuberculosis; the benefits are intended for people in social vulnerability. There are partnerships between the institutions of the secondary social healthcare network, social assistance, and community institutions. Final Considerations: the support of official bodies is important for the control of tuberculosis; however, the profile of people’s vulnerability is a determining factor for access to/destination of resources from these government social support programs.

Percepções de enfermeiros sobre gestão do cuidado e seus fatores intervenientes para o controle da tuberculose

Resumo Objetivo Analisar as percepções de enfermeiros sobre gestão do cuidado e seus fatores intervenientes para o controle da tuberculose na Atenção Primária em Saúde. Método Estudo descritivo, qualitativo, realizado com 29 enfermeiros que atuavam no controle da tuberculose em 23 Unidades Básicas de Saúde de Belém, Pará. Os dados foram produzidos por entrevistas individuais, utilizando roteiro semiestruturado, e submetidos à análise de conteúdo temática, proposta por Bardin. Resultados Originaram-se duas categorias temáticas: “A gestão do cuidado de enfermeiros para o controle da tuberculose nas Unidades Básicas de Saúde” e “Fatores intervenientes na efetivação da gestão do cuidado no controle da tuberculose nas Unidades Básicas de Saúde”. Conclusão e implicações para a prática O conhecimento dos enfermeiros sobre a política e a gestão do cuidado no controle da tuberculose precisa ser fortalecido, e embora eles tenham clareza sobre suas competências, não conseguem realizá-las em sua plenitude por questões referentes à pouca organização dos serviços, centralização das atividades nos enfermeiros, baixa cooperação multiprofissional, falta de insumos e de pessoal e questões socioeconômicas ligadas ao usuário com tuberculose.

Representações sociais do cuidado em saúde por mulheres quilombolas

Resumo Objetivo Analisar as representações sociais de mulheres quilombolas sobre o cuidado em saúde. Método consiste em um estudo descritivo, qualitativo, realizado entre novembro de 2017 e janeiro de 2018 na comunidade quilombola Abacatal/Aurá, em Ananindeua, cidade brasileira do estado do Pará. Participaram 30 mulheres que vivenciavam o cuidado em saúde. Os dados foram produzidos a partir de entrevistas individuais, submetidos à Análise Temática e discutidos à luz da Teoria das Representações Sociais. Resultados as representações foram organizadas em três dimensões: afetiva, a mais representativa, em que se ancoraram relações de afeto e sentimentos; social, na qual o cuidado foi apreendido como prática inerente à mulher; e biológica, sendo o cuidado compreendido como cuidados gerais de prevenção e tratamento de doenças. Conclusões e implicações para a prática as representações do cuidado em saúde evidenciaram forte carga afetiva, denotando um sentido de preservação da vida e do ambiente, identificando com o cuidado o gênero feminino e, ainda que de forma minoritária, revelando hábitos e ações higienistas referendadas pelo discurso técnico-científico entrelaçado com os saberes tradicionais. Esses aspectos trazem singularidades que devem ser consideradas pela enfermagem, uma vez que esta atua com o cuidado integral à saúde dos indivíduos e seus respectivos grupos e (re)produz esse cuidado.

PADRÃO ESPACIAL DA MALÁRIA EM POPULAÇÕES INDÍGENA E NÃO INDÍGENA NO ESTADO DO PARÁ

Objetivo: analisar o padrão espacial da malária nas populações indígena e não indígena no estado do Pará. Método: estudo ecológico, com análise de 379.511 casos de malária notificados ao Sistema de Informação de Vigilância Epidemiológica – Malária, no período 2010 a 2015, no estado do Pará. Os dados foram georreferenciados com auxílio do programa QGIS versão 3.14 e interpolados através do Estimador de Densidade Kernel, para criação de mapas digitais. Realizou-se cálculo e análise da Incidência Parasitária Anual de malária nas mesorregiões do Pará. Resultados: mostraram-se maiores Índices Parasitários Anuais em populações indígenas quando comparados aos não indígenas, com Incidência Parasitária Anual=163,05/1.000 habitantes e 165,27/1.000 habitantes entre indígenas, e 17,26/1.000 habitantes e 14,26/1.000 habitantes em não indígenas. Conclusão: a distribuição territorial da malária é desigual nas mesorregiões considerando a condição de ser ou não indígena, o que sugere necessidade de valorizar as especificidades culturais locorregionais, para direcionar ações de controle mais resolutivas.

DOENÇAS INFECCIOSAS E A REDE DE ATENÇÃO PRIMÁRIA À SAÚDE EM COMUNIDADES RIBEIRINHAS

Objetivo: analisar o perfil das doenças infecciosas em população ribeirinha relacionando com a rede de atenção primária à saúde. Método: estudo epidemiológico, com dados de doenças infecciosas notificadas/confirmadas no Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação entre 2013-2017 e da rede de atenção primária da região ribeirinha de Abaetetuba-Pará-Brasil. Análise descritiva com o Qui-quadrado de Pearson, p≤0,05. Resultados: foram registrados 393 casos de hanseníase, tuberculose, doença de Chagas, hepatites virais, meningite, leishmaniose visceral, dengue e febre de Chikungunya. As prevalentes foram hanseníase e dengue. A rede de atenção primária contempla 26 postos de saúde com equipe reduzida e quatro equipes de agentes comunitários de saúde. Conclusão: os serviços de saúde se distanciam do que é estabelecido na Política Nacional de Atenção Básica, que deve valorizar o perfilepidemiológico e o modo de vida ribeirinho. Os resultados poderão subsidiar o planejamento e a ação em saúde/enfermagem. 

Panorama epidemiológico do HIV em gestantes indígenas e não indígenas no estado do Pará

Objetivo: Analisar o perfil epidemiológico da infecção pelo HIV em gestantes indígenas e não indígenas no estado do Pará. Métodos: Estudo epidemiológico, transversal, realizado a partir de dados do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação referentes ao período de 2010 a 2017. Resultados: As taxas de detecção de HIV em gestantes apresentaram tendência de crescimento nos dois grupos étnicos. O acompanhamento pré-natal mostrou-se importante para a triagem sorológica do HIV nas populações estudadas. Conclusão: Os elevados índices de HIV em gestantes, especialmente entre indígenas, evidenciam a necessidade de adequação da política e diretrizes de prevenção do HIV/aids de modo a torná-las culturalmente adequadas para os diferentes contextos étnicos. Além disso, torna-se imprescindível a ampliação das medidas de prevenção e diagnóstico do HIV em momentos que antecedem a gestação a fim de interromper a cadeia de transmissão do vírus.

PREVALÊNCIA DA DOENÇA DE CHAGAS ASSOCIADA AO MODO DE INFECÇÃO

Objetivo: analisar a prevalência da doença de Chagas aguda e associação com o modo de infecção.Método: estudo descritivo, quantitativo realizado na região de saúde do Tocantins - Pará - Brasil, com 346 casos da doença de Chagas aguda. Os dados foram obtidos em setembro de 2017 e correspondem a 2012-2016, oriundos do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação.Foram analisados pelo Qui-quadrado de Pearson, p≤0,05, no Excel® 2013.Resultados: maior acometimento do sexo masculino (56,93%) e moradores da zona rural (56,35%). Na zona urbana, 110 (94%) contraíram a doença por via oral e sete (6%) por via vetorial. Na rural, 137 (84%) foram infectados por via oral e 26 (16%) por via vetorial (p=0,010).Conclusões: o controle da doença demanda políticas públicas específicas alinhadas às especificidades locorregionais. A doença de Chagas aguda mostrou-se prevalente com associação entre a infecção oral e residente de área urbana.

PREVALÊNCIA DA HIPERTENSÃO ARTERIAL SISTÊMICA E DIABETES MELLITUS ENTRE INDÍGENAS

Objetivo: analisar prevalência de Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica e Diabetes mellitus nos indígenas aldeados associadas à etnia e descrever a frequência de atendimento/diagnóstico segundo categoria profissional.Método: estudo epidemiológico, descritivo, realizado com dados de Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica e Diabetes mellitus produzidos nos Distritos Sanitários Especiais Indígenas, do Pará, entre 2013-2017, obtidos do Sistema de Informações da Atenção à Saúde Indígena. Para análise, agrupou-se as morbidades e utilizou-se o Qui-quadrado de Pearson, p≤0,05.Resultados: foram estudados 624 casos de Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica e 108 casos de Diabetes mellitus, identificando-se maior acometimento de mulheres. A etnia Munduruku apresentou maior prevalência de Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica (35,0%; n=219) e Diabetes mellitus (23,1%; n=25). Observou-se participação expressiva da equipe de enfermagem no atendimento aos indígenas.Conclusão: A prevalência identificada pode ser atribuída à acelerada transição nutricional e mudanças nos hábitos de vida. Tais achados são importantes para assistência de enfermagem qualificada e culturalmente significada.

Knowledge and practices of Primary Care professionals on diabetic neuropathy: study of social representations

OBJECTIVES

to analyze the knowledge and practices of Primary Health Care professionals about diabetic neuropathy through their social representations.

METHODS

a qualitative, descriptive study, anchored in the procedural aspect of the Theory of Social Representations. It was carried out in four Family Health Units in Belém-Pará, with 31 professionals from four health teams. Data were produced by individual semi-structured interviews, and the corpus was submitted to content analysis.

RESULTS

two thematic categories were defined, showing the participants' understanding and imagination about neuropathy, as well as the biopsychosocial repercussions of this complication in patients' daily lives. The multidisciplinary practices developed in the context of disease treatment/prevention and the consequences of this performance were also shown.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

professionals' representations are anchored in neuropathy occurrence due to the deficient standard of care for themselves by patients, which results in the team's surpassing care attitude as an alternative to illness' challenges.

HIV infection in pregnant women and its challenges for the prenatal care

OBJECTIVE

To analyze the epidemiological profile of HIV infections in pregnant women.

METHODS

Analytical study with a quantitative approach.

RESULTS

The HIV rate in pregnant women increased from 1.5/1000 babies born alive, in 2010, to 3.3/1000 in 2017. There was a significant association between the prenatal and the variables educational level (p<0.0001), occupation (p=0.0105), gestational age (p < 0.0001), and type of delivery (p < 0.0001). The mean rate of adherence to the antiretroviral treatment in the prenatal was 68.8% (DP = ± 3.7).

CONCLUSION

The high rates of HIV detection in pregnant women suggest the need to intensify the health care to women during the prenatal, guaranteeing an integral care, early diagnoses, and enhancing the strategies to improve the adherence to the antiretroviral treatment, aiming to achieve the viral suppression of the mother by the time of childbirth, thus diminishing the risk of a vertical transmission.

Suicide in indigenous and non-indigenous population: a contribution to health management

OBJECTIVE

To analyze the sociodemographic and epidemiological profile of suicide in the indigenous and non-indigenous population and the spatiality of the event.

METHOD

Epidemiological, descriptive research, carried out with data from the Mortality Information System. Suicide mortality rates were calculated for the 144 municipalities in Pará and linked to the geographic location values of the municipalities; subsequently, thematic maps were built using the QGIS 3.10.3 software. The association between variables was measured by the G test.

RESULTS

1,387 suicide records were studied, and the mortality rate among indigenous people was low in comparison to non-indigenous people, reaching 0.1/100 thousand inhabitants and 17.5/100 thousand inhabitants, respectively.

CONCLUSION

Suicide is heterogeneously distributed in the territory, with greater vulnerability of the indigenous people, which demands different policies considering their cultural diversity.

Aprender brincando: validação semântica de tecnologia educacional sobre tuberculose para crianças escolares

Resumo Objetivo validar semanticamente tecnologia educacional sobre tuberculose para crianças escolares. Método estudo metodológico, realizado com 51 escolares, entre 10 e 12 anos, de escola pública em Belém, Pará. Na coleta de dados, apresentou-se às crianças a tecnologia educacional, um caça-palavras, com definição, transmissão, sinais e sintomas da tuberculose e, após sua aplicação realizou-se entrevista individual, com perguntas abertas e fechadas, sobre atributos associados à impressão geral, ao conteúdo e forma. Para descrever a concordância das respostas à entrevista, foi utilizado o índice de validade de conteúdo, com ponto de corte igual a 0,80. Na descrição das variáveis numéricas, utilizou-se o software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, 22.0 e, para o corpus textual, empregou-se o software IRaMuTeQ 0.7, alpha 2. Resultados os índices de validade de conteúdo apresentaram resultados superiores a 90%. A descrição dos depoimentos gerou duas nuvens de palavras, referentes à compreensão sobre a doença e capacidade informativa da tecnologia. Conclusão e implicações para a prática a tecnologia foi considerada de fácil utilização, relevante e de conteúdo apropriado, portanto, válida para crianças compreenderem a doença, possibilitando atuarem como multiplicadores da informação para sua rede de convívio.

PERCEPÇÕES DE ENFERMEIROS E DOENTES SOBRE A ADESÃO AO TRATAMENTO DIRETAMENTE OBSERVADO EM TUBERCULOSE

Objetivo: analisar os fatores intervenientes na adesão ao tratamento diretamente observado em tuberculose, na percepção de doentes e de enfermeiros de unidades básicas de saúde.Método: pesquisa qualitativa descritiva com participação de 13 enfermeiros e 52 doentes de 12 Unidades Básicas de Saúde de Belém-Pará, Brasil. Para produção dos dados, realizaram-se entrevistas individuais, complementadas por observação não participativa. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de conteúdo temática.Resultados: da análise emergiram duas categorias: Percepções sobre o tratamento diretamente observado de doentes e enfermeiros e Operacionalização do tratamento diretamente observado: aspectos positivos e limitantes.Conclusão: mesmo com as fragilidades apontadas, as unidades apresentam potencial para desenvolver a estratégia. Os enfermeiros são sensíveis à sua importância, mas necessitam de maior apoio institucional, e os doentes, quando bem esclarecidos, conseguem fazer uma boa adesão. Esse conhecimento pode proporcionar maior segurança para os enfermeiros na condução do acompanhamento aos pacientes.

Mortalidade infantil entre indígenas no estado do Pará

Objetivo: Analisar o perfil de mortalidade infantil indígena. Método: Estudo epidemiológico, transversal realizado com 254 óbitos em crianças indígenas menores de um ano, notificadas ao Sistema de Informação da Atenção à Saúde Indígena, no estado do Pará, no período de 2013 a 2018. Resultados: Identificou-se proporção maior de óbitos em crianças do sexo masculino (53,9%; n=137), nas etnias Kaiapó (38,2%; n=97), Munduruku (27,6%; n=70) e Xicrim (13,8%; n=35). Os óbitos ocorreram nos hospitais (53,9%; n=137), e nos domicílios (24%; n=61), e as principais causas foram: as afecções perinatais (27,2%; n=69); as doenças do aparelho respiratório (18,9%; n=48), doenças infecciosas e parasitárias (15,7%; n=40). Conclusão: A mortalidade infantil indígena é mais elevada em algumas etnias, o que favorece ações de enfrentamento naquelas mais acometidas. É necessário a valorização da cultura indígena e o reconhecimento dos problemas socioeconômicos a serem contemplados num plano de ação para redução desse indicador.

LETRAMENTO EM SAÚDE DE ADOLESCENTES SOBRE MÉTODOS CONTRACEPTIVOS

Objetivo: analisar o nível de letramento em saúde de adolescentes acerca de métodos contraceptivos.Método: estudo descritivo, de natureza quantitativa, realizado com 288 adolescentes de uma escola pública. Os dados foram obtidos com questionário estruturado, autoaplicável, de origem no S-TOPHLA. Foi realizada análise estatística descritiva com o teste Qui-quadrado de Pearson para medir a associação entre o letramento em saúde e a adesão aos métodos contraceptivos, sendo considerando nível de significância de 5% (p<0,05).Resultados: a média da idade dos participantes foi de 16,9 anos variando de 15 a 19 anos e a análise bivariada indicou associação entre a não adesão aos métodos contraceptivos e o letramento em saúde (p<0,001).Conclusão: o baixo letramento em saúde identificado neste estudo pode acarretar consequências marcantes na vida do adolescente, com implicações para um futuro pouco promissor em decorrência de mudanças advindas de gravidez não planejada.

MORTALIDADE INFANTIL INDÍGENA: EVIDÊNCIAS SOBRE O TEMA

Objetivo: analisar as evidências científicas sobre a mortalidade infantil indígena.Método: revisão integrativa de literatura com 10 artigos, disponíveis na íntegra, em inglês, português e espanhol, publicados entre 2014 e 2019 no Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, na Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval Sistem on-line, na Literatura Latinoamericana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, no portal da Capes e na Cochrane Library. Os dados foram obtidos entre julho e setembro de 2019, processados no IRAMUTEQ e analisados pela classificação hierárquica descendente com base no dendograma.Resultados: foram encontradas 6 classes: 1- Diferenças entre Mortalidade infantil indígena e nãoindígena; 2- Mortalidade infantil indígena; 3- Políticas públicas para os povos indígenas; 4- Ações de saúde de impacto para prevenção de óbitos infantis; 5- Importância dos sistemas de informações; 6- Necessidade de serviços de saúde resolutivos.Conclusão: as evidências indicam necessidade de ações mais efetivas para enfrentamento da mortalidade infantil indígena. A elevada taxa deve ser valorizada no planejamento em saúde.

INDICADORES OPERACIONAIS DO CONTROLE DA TUBERCULOSE NO MUNICÍPIO DE BELÉM-PARÁ

Objetivo: descrever os indicadores operacionais do controle da tuberculose no município de Belém no período 2013-2017.Método: estudo quantitativo, descritivo, cujos dados foram oriundos do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação do município de Belém, obtidos junto à Secretaria Municipal de Saúde em junho de 2019 e dizem respeito aos indicadores operacionais do Programa Nacional de Controle da Tuberculose. A análise se deu por meio de estatística descritiva.Resultados: identificou-se fragilidades no controle da doença no município de Belém. Todos os indicadores, sejam os referentes ao diagnóstico precoce, tratamento e desfecho, mostraram baixa capacidade para o controle da doença no município.Conclusão: o não cumprimento das metas previstas implica na manutenção da doença na comunidade e favorecimento de casos de resistência às drogas, aumentando custos e sofrimento humano. Os resultados possibilitam reflexão acerca da necessidade do monitoramento das ações de controle.

Behaviors related to Quilombola women's health: a social representations study

OBJECTIVE

To Identify Quilombola women's social representations about health care and to characterize practices performed by them.

METHOD

a descriptive, qualitative study, applying the Social Representations Theory, conducted with 30 women from a Quilombola community in the Brazilian Amazon. Individual interviews and thematic content analysis were carried out.

RESULTS

Health care practices are related to the home, people, families, and environment, indicating a Quilombola women's extended understanding about health care. In the first instance, natural resources derived from traditional knowledge and use of herbs are applied, in the second instance, the official health system, with the mother-woman being the main caregiver of the family.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

the mother enables a health care in the family daily life, and she is the main way of access health professionals have to enter the Quilombola community and provide proper care from the official health system to the group.

Tuberculosis associated with the living conditions in an endemic municipality in the North of Brazil

Objective:

to analyze the association between the occurrence of new tuberculosis cases and the Adapted Living Condition Index, and to describe the spatial distribution in an endemic municipality.

Method:

this is an analytical and ecological study that was developed from new cases in residents of an endemic municipality in the North Region of Brazil. The data were obtained from the Notifiable Diseases Information System and from the 2010 Demographic Census. The Adapted Living Conditions Index was obtained by factor analysis and its association with the occurrence of the disease was analyzed by means of the chi-square test. The type I error was set at 0.05. Kernel estimation was used to describe the density of tuberculosis in each census sector.

Results:

the incidence coefficient was 97.5/100,000 inhabitants. The data showed a statistically significant association between the number of cases and socioeconomic class, with the fact that belonging to the highest economic class reduces the chance of the disease occurring. The thematic maps showed that tuberculosis was distributed in a heterogeneous way with a concentration in the Southern region of the municipality.

Conclusion:

tuberculosis, associated with precarious living conditions, reinforces the importance of discussion on social determinants in the health-disease process to subsidize equitable health actions in risk areas, upon a context of vulnerability.

TESTE RÁPIDO MOLECULAR PARA TUBERCULOSE: DA COLETA AO INÍCIO DO TRATAMENTO

Objetivo: identificar o tempo decorrido entre a coleta do material para teste rápido molecular e o início do tratamento para tuberculose em unidades que encaminharam amostras para processamento em Unidades centralizadoras.Método: estudo epidemiológico analítico desenvolvido em duas Unidades Básicas de Saúde em Belém-Pará. Foram coletados dados referentes a 296 casos novos com confirmação laboratorial, diagnosticados de dezembro de 2014 a dezembro de 2015. Na análise, utilizou-se o Teste U de Mann-Whitney, p-valor ≤ 0,05 para a correlação entre as variáveis.Resultados: não houve diferença estatisticamente significativa no tempo de liberação dos resultados de exames em Unidades Centralizadoras e Unidades que encaminharam exames para processamento. Quanto ao início do tratamento, houve diferença no tempo entre as unidades centralizadoras e as de abrangência.Conclusão: a centralização do processamento do Teste Rápido Molecular não interfere no tempo para diagnóstico e tratamento da tuberculose, mesmo com o encaminhamento das amostras entre os serviços.

Knowledge of primary health care professionals on health policies for the riverside population

OBJECTIVES

to analyze the knowledge of health professionals on the health policies for the riverside population; identify how health practices with this group are developed; and discuss facilitators and barriers for the implementation of these policies.

METHODS

qualitative and descriptive study with 24 professionals from the Riverside Family Health Strategy Teams in the city of Belém-Pará. Data were collected in individual interviews and analyzed by Content Analysis.

RESULTS

although professionals demonstrate knowledge about public health policies, there is a need to expand and strengthen knowledge about health policies for the riverside population. The activities directed to the communities took place in the Unit itself, and some did not occur due to insufficient material and human resources.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

the greatest barrier for the organization of health care is the lack of material and human resources, and the most prominent facilitator was the union and cohesion of the health team.

ANÁLISE DO SISTEMA DE VIGILÂNCIA EPIDEMIOLÓGICA DA FEBRE DE CHIKUNGUNYA NO ESTADO DO PARÁ

Objetivo: analisar o Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação quanto à aceitabilidade,pontualidade e qualidade dos dados da Febre de Chikungunya no Pará, 2015-2017.Método: estudo epidemiológico, com análise de 17.148 casos da febre de Chikungunya obtidosno Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação, no estado do Pará entre 2015 e 2017.Resultados: o sistema demonstrou pontualidade na obtenção de dados e atraso para produção dainformação; sua aceitabilidade entre os municípios variou de 22,92 a 65,28%; houve discrepânciada completitude entre as variáveis obrigatórias e essenciais; com duplicidade >1% e melhora davalidade.Conclusão: as deficiências e fragilidades identificadas no Sistema poderão ser minimizadas coma revisão do processo de trabalho. O estudo propicia reflexão sobre a necessidade de registrooportuno e de qualidade para tomada de decisão.

Correlação entre independência funcional e risco de quedas em idosos de três instituições de longa permanência

RESUMO Objetivo Verificar a correlação entre a independência funcional e o risco de quedas em um grupo de idosos institucionalizados. Método Estudo transversal, observacional, quantitativo, realizado em três Instituições de Longa Permanência para Idosos no Município de Belém, de ambos os gêneros, avaliados por meio do Índice de Katz e Índice de Tinetti. Para análise utilizou-se o teste de Qui-quadrado de Pearson, adotando-se um nível de significância de p-valor < 0.05. E a correlação dos dados foi realizada pelo teste de correlação de Pearson, com significância de 5% (p<0,05). Resultados Participaram 48 idosos. A maioria foi classificada como funcionalmente independente (89,6%) e com baixo risco de quedas (58,3%). Houve correlação moderada entre a independência funcional e baixo riscos de quedas. Conclusão Quanto mais independentes são os idosos, menor é o risco de quedas. Portanto, é necessário fazer um planejamento de cuidados individualizados, considerando suas peculiaridades e limitações, de modo que o idoso possa preservar por mais tempo sua independência funcional.

Spatial patterns of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis: correlation with sociodemographic variables and type of notification

ABSTRACT Objective: Correlate the cases of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis and its spatial patterns with the type of notification and sociodemographic variables. Method: Ecological study carried out in the municipality of Belém, with 77 cases of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis registered in the Special Treatment Information System for Tuberculosis, between 2012 and 2016. For analysis, the data was debugged followed by geo-referencing in ArcGis 10.3 and Terra View 4.2.2. To relate the cases with the type of notification, the BioEstat 5.4 software was used, with a significance level of 95%. Results: Of the total, 40 (52%) were new cases; 27 (35%), relapses; and ten (13%) were re-enrolled after leaving. Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis was randomly distributed and related to income, household, territorial cluster and water supply. There was a concentration of cases in two administrative districts, corresponding to 28.5% and 27.3% of the total, with a median Sociodemographic Index. Conclusion: Behavior of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis influenced by sociodemographic indicators.

Spatial distribution of Chagas disease and its correlation with health services

Abstract Objective: To analyze the spatial distribution of Acute Chagas Disease (ACD) cases in a riverside municipality and make relationships with the notifying health services. Method: Longitudinal, ecological, quantitative study with use of geoprocessing techniques, conducted with cases of acute Chagas disease in the municipality of Abaetetuba/Pará. Results: Inclusion of 204 disease cases. Predominance of the male sex, mixed race and primary education as educational level. The highest incidence of cases was found in rural areas and the infection via oral transmission predominated. ACD is not randomly distributed in the geographic space and the diagnosis is centralized in the Epidemiological Surveillance service of the municipality. Conclusion: Acute Chagas disease is closely related to the sociodemographic conditions of the population. The spatial analysis of cases allowed to observe the disease spatial pattern and the need for Primary Care network organization for timely care near the residence of people affected.

Tuberculosis: evaluation of the time between identification of symptoms and beginning of treatment

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the time elapsed between the identification of respiratory symptoms and the beginning of tuberculosis treatment, considering the sputum smear microscopy and the RMT. Method: Descriptive, retrospective epidemiological study, carried out in two Health Units, which were the only units that performed diagnosis by sputum smear microscopy and Rapid Molecular Test in the city. Data on respiratory symptoms with a positive result for tuberculosis were used. Analysis of data distribution and variance was performed, with a significance level of 5%. Results: The longest time interval found was “result/beginning of treatment”, for both tests, with a median of 3 days. It was found that the patient takes longer to receive the result when performing the Rapid Molecular Test. Conclusion: Patients who had the Rapid Molecular Test waited longer for results when compared to sputum smear microscopy, leading to a reflection on the need for further studies on the operation of health services.

MODELO PREDITIVO DE DETERMINANTES SOCIOECONÔMICOS DA TUBERCULOSE EM POPULAÇÃO INDÍGENA DO ESTADO DO PARÁ, BRASIL

Objetivo: desenvolver um modelo capaz de identificar a correlação entre determinantessocioeconômicos e incidência de tuberculose na população indígena do estado do Pará.Método: estudo analítico e quantitativo, no qual se construiu um modelo preditivo por meio deregressão de Poisson para 285 casos novos notificados no Sistema de Informação de Agravo eNotificação, no período de janeiro de 2010 a dezembro de 2015, no Estado do Pará.Resultados: partindo do modelo construído, pode-se confirmar que 86% do total de novos casosde tuberculose pode ser explicada pelas variáveis: recebimento de benefício social do governo,renda, escolaridade e sexo. A primeira variável foi considerada a mais significativa com nível dep<0.10.Conclusão: o modelo preditivo é útil como suporte para tomada de decisão, pois permite direcionarações de controle da tuberculose aos indivíduos sob maior risco: indígenas do sexo masculino, semescolaridade e que não recebem benefícios sociais.

Spatial analysis on tuberculosis and the network of primary health care

ABSTRACT Objective: to analyze the spatial distribution of new cases of tuberculosis compared to the location of the Primary Healthcare Units that performed the compulsory notification. Method: ecological study conducted in Belém, Pará, with 5,294 new cases of tuberculosis notified to Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação for the period from 2010 to 2014. The cases were georeferenced using the software applications ArcGis 10.2 and TerraView 4.2.2. The techniques of Kernel density and global Moran geostatistics were used. Results: the incidence of tuberculosis cases did not vary significantly between the years studied, however there was a variation in incidence between neighborhoods. Health units that exhibited higher number of notifications can suffer great influence of migration from nearby neighborhoods. Conclusion: the spatial dynamics of tuberculosis associated with health services allows to know the areas with increased risk of tuberculosis and the density of notifications of health units.

Avaliação do serviço de coleta para exame colpocitológico pela escala SERVQUAL

OBJECTIVE

To analyze women's perception of the quality of the service provided for colposcopy test in the city of Belém (PA), Brazil.

METHOD

Quantitative-descriptive study on 400 women who underwent Pap test on the public healthcare network, using the Service Quality (SERVQUAL) model. We used the Cronbach's alpha index to measure the reliability of the scale, and data were analyzed by quartiles of the gaps of the dimensions: tangibility, responsiveness, reliability, assurance, and empathy.

RESULTS

The assurance dimension, corresponding to the knowledge and courtesy of staff, featured the highest degree of importance to users; and empathy, which corresponds to the staff's concern with women's needs, featured the lower degree. The most expressive negative gaps concerned the structure of services and the attitude of healthcare professionals when collecting the material.

CONCLUSION

All gaps featured negative relationship between what was expected and perceived, expressing dissatisfaction regarding the service.

Educational technology for people living with HIV: validation study

to validate an educational technology to support the action of health professionals with people living with HIV.

METHOD

methodological study with data collection using a four-point Likert scale for evaluation by eleven judges and 51 people living with HIV. The data were tabulated, processed, and analyzed by inferential and descriptive statistics, Cronbach's alpha test, and Kruskal-Wallis for reliability and internal consistency analyses.

RESULT

the Cronbach's alpha was 0.974 for judges and 0.694 for the target audience, reliable values. Kruskal-Wallis tested hypotheses H0 and H1 with significance of 0.05. H0 was accepted with significance of 0.395 for judges and 0.187 for the target audience, demonstrating agreement on the distribution of answers. Judgements with favorable response of at least 70% were considered relevant, according to the performed tests.

CONCLUSION

the technology presents high reliability and good internal consistency, being deemed appropriate.

PERCEPÇÕES DE GESTANTES RIBEIRINHAS SOBRE A ASSISTÊNCIA PRÉ-NATAL

Objetivos: o estudo objetivou identificar a importância do pré-natal para gestantes ribeirinhas e conhecer suas expectativas, discutindo esses aspectos com vistas a melhorar a qualidade da assistência de saúde a essas mulheres. Método: estudo qualitativo descritivo, cujos dados foram coletados de agosto a outubro de 2016, por entrevistas individuais com 15 gestantes que realizavam pré-natal na Unidade de Saúde da Família da Ilha do Combú, localizada ao Sul da cidade de Belém, Pará, e analisados por meio da técnica de análise temática. Resultados: dos depoimentos analisados, originaram-se duas categorias: A importância do pré-natal como garantia de saúde para a mãe e para o bebê, e O pré-natal como fortaleza e fonte de aprendizado. Conclusão: conhecer o significado do pré-natal na vida das gestantes, considerando suas particularidades, oferece subsídios para que o profissional de saúde, especialmente o enfermeiro, possa ajudar em possíveis lacunas, garantindo assistência pré-natal de qualidade.
